કમ્પ્યુટર શું છે? કમ્પ્યુટર નો ઇતિહાસ, ફાયદા, માહિતી, નિબંધ

આજનો યુગ એ Information Technology નો યુગ છે. કોમ્પ્યુટર એ માનવી ની મૂળભૂત જરૂરિયાત બનતું જાય છે. ત્યારે એમ કહી શકાય કે આવતી કાલે કોમ્પ્યુટર ઉપયોગ ન જાણનાર વ્યક્તિ અભણ કહેવાશે. ટાઈમ,સ્પેસ ની બચત તથા ચોકસાઇના જમાના માં,કંટાળ્યા થાક્યા વગર સતત કામ કરનાર તથા બધી જ બાબતો યાદ રાખનાર સાધન વગર નવી સદીમાં ચાલે તેમ નથી. તો ચાલ આજના આ લેખમાં આ૫ણે કમ્પ્યુટર શું છે?  કમ્પ્યુટરની વિશેષતાઓ અને ફાયદા-ગેરફાયદા શું છે? કમ્પ્યુટર વિશે નિબંધ , કમ્પ્યુટર નો ઇતિહાસ વિશે કેટલીક અગત્યની માહિતી મેળવિએ.

કમ્પ્યુટર શું છે?  કમ્પ્યુટરની વિશેષતાઓ અને ફાયદા-ગેરફાયદા શું છે?

આ આર્ટિકલમાં આપણે  કમ્પ્યુટર વિશે વાત કરવાના છીએ સરળ ભાષામાં કમ્પ્યુટર એક ઇલેક્ટ્રોનિક મશીન છે  આ જવાબ સાંભળીને તમને કદાચ એમ થશે કે આ તો અમને ખબર છે એમાં નવું શું છે પરંતુ થોડુક‌ ધૈર્ય રાખો . આજના અમારા આ આર્ટીકલમાં અમે તમને કમ્પ્યુટર વિશે કંઈક નવું શીખવવા માગીએ છીએ. આજના આર્ટીકલ નો મુખ્ય ઉદ્દેશ એ છે કે હું તમને કમ્પ્યુટર વિશે સંપૂર્ણ માહિતી આપી શકુ નહી કે અધકચરી માહિતી. મને ખ્યાલ છે કે કમ્પ્યુટર વિશે તમને બેઝિક નોલેજ છે પરંતુ શું તમને એ ખ્યાલ છે કે કમ્પ્યુટર ક્યારે બનાવવામાં આવ્યું ? એ બનાવવા પાછળ કેટલો સમય લાગ્યો ? કમ્પ્યુટર બનાવવા પાછળનો ઉદ્દેશ શું હતો ? અત્યાર સુધી એના કેટલા વર્ઝન આવ્યા ? અત્યાર સુધી એની વિશેષતાઓમાં શું પરિવર્તન આવ્યા? નથી ખ્યાલને તો ચાલો આપણે કમ્પ્યુટર વિશેની સંપૂર્ણ માહિતી મેળવીએ.

કમ્પ્યુટર શું છે ? ( What is computer in Gujarati?)

કમ્પ્યુટર એક મશીન છે જે આપેલ નિર્દેશો અનુસાર કામ કરે છે એક એવું ઇલેક્ટ્રોનિક નિયંત્રણ કે જે જાણકારી સાથે કામ કરવા માટે ઉપયોગી બને. કમ્પ્યુટર શબ્દ એ લેટિન ભાષામાંથી લેવામાં આવ્યો છે જેનો લેટિન ભાષાનો મૂળ શબ્દ છે computare જેનો અર્થ થાય છે કેલ્ક્યુલેટ કરવું અથવા તો ગણતરી કરવી.

કમ્પ્યુટરના મુખ્યત્વે ત્રણ કામો હોય છે (૧) પહેલું ડેટાને ઇનપુટ કરવું (૨) બીજુ ડેટાને પ્રોસેસિંગ કરવું અને (૩) ત્રીજું અને અગત્યનું કામ પ્રોસેસિંગ થયેલ ડેટાને બતાવવો જેને આપણે આઉટપુટ કહીએ છીએ.

કમ્પ્યુટર ની શોધ કોણે કરી હતી ?

કમ્પ્યુટરનો જનક ચાર્લ્સ બેબેજ ને કહેવામાં આવે છે કેમ કે સૌપ્રથમ કમ્પ્યુટરની શોધ તેમણે જ કરી હતી તેમણે સૌપ્રથમ મિકેનિકલ કમ્પ્યુટર ડિઝાઈન કર્યું હતું જેને એનાલિટિક્લ એન્જિન ના નામથી પણ ઓળખવામાં આવતું હતું જેમાં punch card ની મદદથી ડેટાને ઇન્સર્ટ કરવામાં આવતો હતો. ચાલ્સ બેબેજ દ્વારા ૧૯૩૭માં આ કમ્પ્યુટર ની શોધ કરવામાં આવી હતી.

તેમના આ કમ્પ્યુટરમાં ALU, Basic Flow Control અને Integrated Memory નો કોન્સેપ્ટ લાગુ કરવામાં આવ્યો હતો. આજ મોડેલના બેઝ પર આજકાલના કમ્પ્યુટરને ડિઝાઇન કરવામાં આવેલ છે. એટલે જ કમ્પ્યુટર ક્ષેત્રમાં ચાલ્સ બેબેજ નું અમૂલ્ય યોગદાન હોવાથી તમને કમ્પ્યુટર ના જનક કહેવામાં આવે છે.

કમ્પ્યુટર નો ઇતિહાસ:-

હજુ સુધી ચોક્કસ એ નથી નક્કી કરી શકાયુ કે કમ્પ્યુટર ડેવલોપમેન્ટ નું કાર્ય ખરેખર ક્યારથી શરૂ કરવામાં આવ્યું હતું પરંતુ સમયગાળાના આધારે કમ્પ્યુટરને પાંચ પેઢી માં વર્ગીકૃત કરવામાં આવેલ છે.

કમ્પ્યુટર ની પહેલી પેઢી ૧૯૪૦ થી ૧૯૫૬  Vacuum tubes

પહેલી પેઢીના કમ્પ્યુટર માં Vacuum tubes, Circuitry અનૈ Magnetic Drumનો મેમોરી માટે ઉપયોગ થતો હતો જેથી આવા કમ્પ્યુટરની સાઇઝ ખૂબ જ મોટી રહેતી હતી. હાલના એક રૂમ ની સાઈઝ જેટલી કમ્પ્યુટરની સાઇઝ હતીએમ કહીએ તો પણ ખોટું નથી. મોટી સાઇઝના કારણે આવા કોમ્પ્યુટરો ગરમ પણ વધુ થઈ જતા હતા જેથી સતત લાંબા ગાળા સુધી આવું કમ્પ્યુટર કાર્ય કરી શકતું ન હતું એને થોડો સમય બાદ બંધ કરવાની જરૂરિયાત ઉપસ્થિત થતી હતી.

કમ્પ્યુટર ની બીજી પેઢી ૧૯૫૬થી ૧૯૬૩ Transistors

બીજી પેઢીના કમ્પ્યુટર માં Vacuum tubes ની જગ્યા Transistorsએ લઈ લીધી જેનાથી ઓછી જગ્યા રોકાતી હતી સ્પીડમાં વધારો થયો અને પ્રથમ પેઢીના કમ્પ્યુટર કરતા આ કમ્પ્યુટર ગરમી પણ ઓછી ઉત્પન્ન કરતા હતા તેમ છતાં ગરમ થવાનું પ્રશ્ન હજુ સુધી સંપૂર્ણપણે હાલ થયો ન હતો

આ કમ્પ્યુટરમાં હાઈલેવલ પ્રોગ્રામિંગ લેંગ્વેજ COBOL અને FORTRANનો ઉપયોગ કરવામાં આવ્યો હતો.

કમ્પ્યુટર ની ત્રીજી પેઢી ૧૯૬૪થી ૧૯૭૧ integrated circuit

કમ્પ્યુટર ની ત્રીજી પેઢીમાં પહેલીવાર integrated circuit નો ઉપયોગ કરવામાં આવે છે જેમાં Transistors ને નાના ભાગોમાં વહેંચીને silicon ship મા નાખવામાં આવ્યું જેને સેમિ કન્ડક્ટર કહેવામાં આવે છે તેનાથી ફાયદો એ થયો કે કમ્પ્યુટર ની પ્રોસેસિંગ સ્પીડ અનેક ગણી વધી ગઈ.

પહેલીવાર ત્રીજી પેઢીના કમ્પ્યુટર માં જ કમ્પ્યુટરને યુઝર ફ્રેન્ડલી બનાવવા માટે મોનિટર કીબોર્ડ અને ઓપરેટિંગ સિસ્ટમનો ઉપયોગ કરવામાં આવ્યો અને કમ્પ્યુટરને પહેલીવાર માર્કેટમાં લોન્ચ કરવામાં આવ્યું.

કમ્પ્યુટર ની ચોથી પેઢી- ૧૯૭૧ થી ૧૯૮૫ “Microprocessors”

ચોથી પેઢીના કમ્પ્યુટર ની મુખ્ય ખાસિયત એ હતી કે તેમાં Microprocessor નો ઉપયોગ કરવામાં આવ્યો હતો જેનાથી હજારો ઇન્ટીગ્રેટેડ સર્કિટ ને એક જ સિલિકોન ચિપ માં એમ્બેડ કરવામાં આવી હતી આનાથી મશીન નો આકાર પણ નાનો કરવામાં ખુબ જ સરળતા થઈ શકી.

માઇક્રોપ્રોસેસર નો ઉપયોગ કરવાથી કમ્પ્યુટરની efficiency ખૂબ જ વધી ગઈ આ પેઢીના કમ્પ્યુટર દ્વારા ખૂબ જ ઓછા સમયમાં મોટા મોટા કેલ્ક્યુલેશન થઈ શકતા હતા

કમ્પ્યુટર ની પાંચમી પેઢી ૧૯૮૫થી અત્યાર સુધી “Artificial Intelligence”

કમ્પ્યુટર ની પાંચમી પેઢી એટલે કે હાલના કમ્પ્યુટરમાં Artificial Intelligence નો દબદબો કાયમ કરી લીધો છે. હવે નવી નવી ટેકનોલોજી જેવી કે speech recognition, parallel processing, quantum calculation જેવા કેટલાય એડવાન્સ ફીચર્સ આવી ગયા છે.

આ એક એવું જનરેશન છે કે જ્યાં કમ્પ્યુટરની Artificial Intelligence હોવાના કારણે તેની સ્વયં નિર્ણય લેવાની ક્ષમતા અનેક ગણી વધી ગઈ છે ધીરે-ધીરે કમ્પ્યુટર દ્વારા તમામ કામો ઓટોમેટેડ થઈ જશે.

કમ્પ્યુટર ની પરિભાષા:-

કોઈ પણ મોર્ડન ડિજિટલ કમ્પ્યુટર ના ઘણા components છે પરંતુ એમાં કેટલાક ખૂબ જ મહત્વપૂર્ણ છે જેવા કે input device, output device, CPU(central processing unit), mass storage device અને memory.

કમ્પ્યુટર કઈ રીતે કાર્ય કરે છે ?

Input (Data): input બેસ્ટ છે કે જેમાં રો ઇન્ફોર્મેશન ઇનપુટ ડિવાઇસ દ્વારા કમ્પ્યુટરમાં નાખવામાં આવે છે જેમાં કોઇ લેટર, પિક્ચર કે કોઈ અન્ય પ્રકારની ફાઈલ પણ હોઈ શકે છે.

Process: process માં ઇનપુટ કરેલા ડેટાને instruction અનુસાર કરવામાં આવે છે આ એક ઇન્ટર્નલ પ્રોસેસ છે.

Output: output માં જે ડેટાને પહેલાથી પ્રોસેસ કરવામાં આવેલો છે તેને રીઝલ્ટ સ્વરૂપે દર્શાવવામાં આવે છે જો તમે ઈચ્છો તો આર રીઝલ્ટ ને સેવ કરીને મેમરીમાં સ્ટોર કરી શકો છો જેનાથી તેનો ઉપયોગ ભવિષ્યમાં થઈ શકે.

કમ્પ્યુટર પરિચય ( કમ્પ્યુટર ના મુખ્ય ભાગો):-

જો તમે કોઈ કમ્પ્યુટરને ખોલીને અંદરના ભાગોને જોયા હશે તો તમને કેટલાય નાના components જોવા મળશે જે તમને કદાચ ખૂબ જ કોમ્પ્લિકેટેડ દેખાતા હશે પરંતુ હકીકતમાં આ જેટલા દેખાય છે કેટલા કોમ્પ્લિકેટેડ હોતા નથી હવે હું તમને કેટલાક કમ્પ્યુટરના ભાગો (components) વિશે જાણકારી આપવા માંગુ છું.

Motherboard

કોઈપણ કમ્પ્યુટર ના મુખ્ય સર્કિટ બોર્ડને મધરબોર્ડ કહેવામાં આવે છે આ એક પતલી પ્લેટની જેવું દેખાય છે પરંતુ તેમાં કમ્પ્યુટર ના ઘણા બધા ભાગો નું જોડાણ થયેલું હોય છે જેવી કે CPU, Memory Connectors Hard drive અને Optical Drive માટે,  expansion card video અને audio ને કન્ટ્રોલ કરવા માટે, મધરબોર્ડ સાથે કમ્પ્યુટર ના બધા જ ભાગોને કનેક્ટ કરવામાં આવે છે મધરબોર્ડ કમ્પ્યુટરના દરેક ભાગો સાથે ડાયરેક્ટ કે ઇનડાયરેક્ટ રીતે જોડાયેલું હોય છે.

CPU/ Processor

શું તમે જાણો છો CPU કોને કહેવાય ? સીપીયુ નું પૂરું નામ છે સેન્ટ્રલ પ્રોસેસીંગ યુનિટ . CPU ને કમ્પ્યુટર નું મગજ પણ કહેવામાં આવે છે. CPU કોમ્પ્યુટર માં થયેલી તમામ ગતિવિધિઓ ઉપર નજર રાખે છે તે કમ્પ્યુટરમાં ડેટાને પ્રોસેસ કરવાનું કામ કરે છે. જેટલી વધારે તમારા કમ્પ્યુટરમાં પ્રોસેસરની સ્પીડ હશે એટલું જ ડેટા ને વધુ જલ્દી પ્રોસેસ કરી શકશે.

રેમ(RAM) નું પૂરું નામ છે રેન્ડમ એક્સેસ મેમોરી . આ કમ્પ્યુટર સિસ્ટમ ની short term મેમોરી છે. જ્યારે આપણે કોમ્પ્યુટરમાં કોઇપણ કેસ કેલ્ક્યુલેશન કે અન્ય કોઈ પ્રક્રિયા કરીએ છીએ ત્યારે તે રીઝલ્ટ રેમમાં સેવ થઈ જાય છે. પરંતુ જ્યારે કમ્પ્યુટર બંધ કરીએ છીએ ત્યારે આ ડેટા ક્લિયર થઈ જાય છે આના માટે જ્યારે આપણે કોમ્પ્યુટરમાં કોઇપણ કામ કરતા હોય તો એ ડેટા કે ડોક્યુમેંટ ને સેવ કરવું ખૂબ જ જરૂરી બને છે. સેવ કરવાથી ડેટા હાર્ડ ડ્રાઈવમાં સેવ થઈ જાય છે જેના દ્વારા તેનો પાછળથી પણ વપરાશ કરી શકાય છે.

રેમ(RAM)ને megabytes (MB) or gigabytes (GB) માપવામાં આવે છે. જેટલી વધારે તમારા કમ્પ્યુટરની RAM હશે એટલી જ તમારા કમ્પ્યુટરની સ્પીડ પણ વધી જશે.

Hard drive કોમ્પ્યુટરનો એવો component છે કે જેમાં software, documents અને બીજી ફાઈલો ને શેર કરવામાં આવે છે હાર્ડ ડ્રાઇવમા ડેટાને ઘણા જ લાંબા સમય સુધી સ્ટોર કરી શકાય છે.

Power supply unit (PSU)

power supply unit (PSU)નું કામ છે મેન પાવર સપ્લાય થી પાવર લઈને જરૂરિયાત અનુસાર બીજા component માં પાવર સપ્લાય કરવો. કેટલાક પાવર સપ્લાયમાં ઇનપુટ વોલ્ટેજ પસંદ કરવા માટે મેન્યુઅલ સ્વીચ હોય છે, જ્યારે અન્ય આપમેળે મેઇન વોલ્ટેજને સ્વીકારે છે.

Expansion card

બધા જ કમ્પ્યુટર્સમાં expansion slots હોય છે જેના દ્વારા આપણે ભવિષ્યમાં કોઈ expansion કાર્ડ ને એડ કરવું હોય તો કરી શકાય તેને PCI (peripheral components interconnect) Card પણ કહેવામાં આવે છે. આજકાલના મધરબોર્ડમાં કેટલાક શોર્ટ પહેલાથી જ inbuilt હોય છે. કેટલાક expansion કાર્ડ ના નામો જે આપણે જુના કમ્પ્યુટરને અપડેટ કરવા માટે વાપરીએ છીએ.

• Network card
• Bluetooth card (adaptor)

કોમ્પ્યુટર હાર્ડવેર અને સોફ્ટવેર :-

કોમ્પ્યુટર હાર્ડવેર એટલે કે કમ્પ્યુટરનો એવો કોઈ પણ ફિઝિકલ ડિવાઇસ જેને આપણે વાપરીએ છીએ સાદી ભાષામાં કહીએ તો કમ્પ્યુટરના એવા ભાગો જેને આપણે સ્પર્શ કરી શકીએ છીએ તેને કમ્પ્યૂટર હાર્ડવેર કહેવામાં આવે છે. ઉદાહરણ તરીકે મોનિટર, માઉસ, પ્રિન્ટર, કીબોર્ડ વગેરે

કોમ્પ્યુટરના એવા ભાગો કે જેને આપણે જોઈ કે સ્પર્શ કરી શકતા નથી પરંતુ તેના દ્વારા કોમ્પ્યુટર કામ કરે છે એટલે કે કોમ્પ્યુટરનું પ્રોસેસિંગ થાય છે એવા તમામ ભાગો, કોડ વગેરે ને સોફ્ટવેર કહેવામાં આવે છે

ઉદાહરણ તરીકે ઇન્ટરનેટ બ્રાઉઝર જેના દ્વારા આપણે વેબસાઈટ રીઝલ્ટ કરીએ છીએ. ઓપરેટિંગ સિસ્ટમ જેના દ્વારા ઇન્ટરનેટ બ્રાઉઝર રન થાય છે.

આપણે કહી શકીએ છીએ કે એક કમ્પ્યુટર સોફ્ટવેર અને હાર્ડવેર નું મિશ્રણ છે આ બંને કમ્પ્યુટર માટે સમાન ભૂમિકા અદા કરે છે બંનેના એકસાથે ઉપયોગ દ્વારા જ કમ્પ્યુટર કામ કરી શકે છે.

કોમ્પ્યુટર ના પ્રકાર (Types of  Computers  in   Gujarati ):-

કમ્પ્યુટર શું છે? એ જાણી લીઘુ હવે કોમ્પ્યુટરના પ્રકાર વિશે થોડીક માહિતી મેળવી લઇએ.જ્યારે પણ આપણે કમ્પ્યૂટર શબ્દ નો ઉપયોગ કરીએ છીએ ત્યારે આપણા મગજમાં પર્સનલ કમ્પ્યુટર નું જ ચિત્ર આવે છે પરંતુ હું તમને જણાવી દઉં કે કમ્પ્યુટર અનેક પ્રકારના હોય છે. વિવિધ Shapes અને સાઇઝ ના હોય છે. જરૂરિયાત અનુસાર આપણે તેનો ઉપયોગ કરીએ છીએ જેમકે ATMનો ઉપયોગ આપણે પૈસા કાઢવા માટે કરીએ છીએ, સ્કેનર કોઈપણ બાર કોડને સ્કેન કરવા માટે વાપરીએ છીએ, કેલ્ક્યુલેટરનો ઉપયોગ કોઈપણ ગાણિતિક પ્રક્રિયા એટલે કે કેલ્ક્યુલેશન કરવા માટે કરીએ છીએ. આ બધા જ વિવિધ પ્રકારના computer છે.

મોટાભાગના લોકો best of કમ્પ્યુટરનો ઉપયોગ પોતાનું ઘર ઓફિસ સ્કૂલ અને પોતાના પર્સનલ કામ કરવા માટે કરે છે આ કમ્પ્યુટર ની ડિઝાઇન કંઈક એવા પ્રકારની હોય છે કે જેને તમે ટેબલ પર રાખી શકો છો તેના અલગ અલગ Parts હોય છે જેમકે મોનિટર,Keyboard, Mouse, CPU વિગેરે.

લેપટોપ વિશે તો તમે જાણો જ છો. લેપટોપ બેટરી સંચાલિત હોય છે જેને તમે કોઈપણ જગ્યાએ સરળતાથી લઈ જઈ શકો છો.

•  Tablet 

તમને એમ થશે કે ટેબ્લેટ એ કંઇ કમ્પ્યુટર થોડું છે તો જી હા ટેબલેટ પણ એક પ્રકારનું કમ્પ્યુટર જ છે જે આપણે સરળતાથી હાથમાં પકડીને ઉપયોગ કરી શકીએ છીએ જેથી તેને હેન્ડહેલ્ડ કોમ્પ્યુટર પણ કહે છે. તેમાં કીબોર્ડ અને માઉસ નથી હોતા. ટેબલેટ માં ટચ સ્ક્રીન હોય છે જેનો ઉપયોગ ટાઈપિંગ અને નેવિગેશન માટે થાય છે.

સર્વેર એવું કમ્પ્યુટર છે કે જેનો ઉપયોગ માહિતીના આદાન-પ્રદાન માટે થાય છે ઉદાહરણ તરીકે આપણે જ્યારે કોઈપણ બાબત ઇન્ટરનેટ પર સર્ચ કરીએ છીએ તે તમામ બાબતો સર્વરમાં સ્ટોર કરેલી હોય છે.

અન્ય પ્રકારના કમ્પ્યુટર:-

ચાલો હવે જાણીએ કેટલાક અન્ય પ્રકારના કમ્પ્યુટર વિશે.

સ્માર્ટફોન (smartphone): 

જ્યારે એક નોર્મલ સેલફોનમાં ઇન્ટરનેટ ચાલુ હોય છે ત્યારે તેનો ઉપયોગ કરીને આપણે ઘણા બધા કામો કરી શકીયે છીએ આવા સેલફોનને સ્માર્ટફોન કહેવામાં આવે છે. આ સ્માર્ટફોન પણ એક પ્રકારનું computer જ છે.

પહેરી શકાય તેવા કમ્પ્યુટર (wearable):

આ શબ્દ સાંભળીને તમને કદાચ હાસ્યાસ્પદ લાગશે કે કમ્પ્યુટર પણ પહેરી શકાય? તો એનો જવાબ છે હા આવા કમ્પ્યુટરમાં ફિટનેસ ટ્રેકર્સ અને સ્માર્ટ વોચ સામેલ છે આવા કમ્પ્યુટરને એવી રીતે ડિઝાઇન કરવામાં આવેલા હોય છે કે જેને તમે આખો દિવસ પહેરી શકો છો એટલે જ તો આવા કમ્પ્યુટરને વેરેબલ કોમ્પ્યુટર કહે છે.

ગેમ કન્ટ્રોલ (game control) : 

કેમ કન્ટ્રોલ પણ એક વિશેષ પ્રકારના કમ્પ્યુટર છે જેનો ઉપયોગ ટીવી પર વિડીયો ગેમ રમવા માટે થાય છે.

ટીવી (TV): 

અત્યારના આધુનિક યુગમાં ઉપયોગમાં લેવાતા ટીવી પણ એક કમ્પ્યુટર જ છે જેમાં ઘણી બધી એપ્સ સામેલ હોય છે ચેન્નઈ સ્માર્ટ ટીવી પણ કહેવામાં આવે છે હાલના ટીવી માં તમે સીધા જ ઇન્ટરનેટનો ઉપયોગ કરી શકો છો અને વિડિયો stream પણ કરી શકો છો.

શિક્ષણમાં કમ્પ્યુટરનો ખૂબ જ મોટો સહયોગ છે. જો કોઈપણ વિદ્યાર્થીને કોઈપણ બાબતે જાણકારી પ્રાપ્ત કરવી છે તો ઇન્ટરનેટના ઉપયોગ દ્વારા સેકન્ડોમાં તે માહિતી પ્રાપ્ત કરી શકે છે. તાજેતરમાં થયેલ રિસર્ચ દ્વારા જાણવા મળેલ છે તે કમ્પ્યુટરની મદદથી વિદ્યાર્થીઓના લર્નિંગ પરફોર્મન્સમાં વધારો થયેલો છે હાલના ટેકનોલોજીના યુગમાં ઓનલાઈન ક્લાસ દ્વારા ઘરે બેઠા છે વિદ્યાર્થીઓ અભ્યાસ કરી શકે છે ‌. એમાં પણ કોરોના ( covid-19) ના સમયગાળામાં જ્યારે તમામ શાળાઓ બંધ છે ત્યારે કમ્પ્યુટર ના માધ્યમથી ઓનલાઇન શિક્ષણ આશીર્વાદરૂપ સાબિત થયું છે.

આરોગ્ય ક્ષેત્રમાં કમ્પ્યુટર એ વરદાન સમાન છે તાજેતરમાં તેના ઉપયોગ દ્વારા દર્દીઓની સારવાર ખૂબ જ ઝડપી અને સરળતાથી કરી શકાય છે. ખુબ જ સરળતાથી રોગની જાણકારી મળી શકે છે તેમજ તેનો ઇલાજ કરી શકાય છે. કમ્પ્યુટરના ઉપયોગ દ્વારા ઓપરેશન ખૂબ જ સરળ બન્યા છે.

વિજ્ઞાન જગતમાં કમ્પ્યુટરનો ઉપયોગ:

કમ્પ્યુટર એ સાયન્સની તો દેન છે. તેના દ્વારા રિસર્ચમાં ખૂબ સરળતા રહે છે તાજેતરમાં વિજ્ઞાન ક્ષેત્રે એક નવો ટ્રેન્ડ ચાલી રહ્યો છે જેને collaboratory કહેવામાં આવે છે. જેમાં દુનિયાના અલગ-અલગ ખૂણે વસેલા વૈજ્ઞાનિકો એક સાથે મળીને કામ કરી શકે છે.

ઉદ્યોગ ક્ષેત્રમાં કમ્પ્યુટરનો ખૂબ જ મોટો હાથ છે તેનો ઉપયોગ મુખ્યત્વે માર્કેટિંગ, retailing, બેન્કિંગ, ટ્રેડિંગમાં થાય છે અહીં બધી જ વસ્તુઓ ડિજિટલ હોવાના કારણે તેની પ્રોસેસિંગ ખૂબ જ ઝડપી થઈ ગઈ છે આજના યુગમાં કેસલેસ ટ્રાન્જેક્શન ને સૌથી વધુ ઇમ્પોર્ટન્સ આપવામાં આવી રહ્યું છે એ પણ એક કમ્પ્યુટરની જ દેન છે.

તાજેતરમાં ટેકનોલોજીના યુગમાં સેનામાં પણ કમ્પ્યુટર ના સાધનો મોટા પ્રમાણમાં ઉપયોગ કરવામાં આવી રહ્યો છે . મિસાઇલ, ઉ૫ગ્રહોનુ લોન્ચિંગ ૫ણ એક પ્રકારના કમ્પ્યુટરને જ આભારી છે. સેનાના ઘણા બધા સાધનો કમ્પ્યુટરની મદદથી કંટ્રોલ થઈ શકે છે.

કોમ્પ્યુટર ના ફાયદા:-

કમ્પ્યુટર શું છે? તથા તેેેેના ઉ૫યોગ વિેશની માહિતી આ૫ણે મેળવી લીઘી  હવે કોમ્પ્યુટરના ફાયદા અને ગેરફાયદા વિશે થોડીક માહિતી મેળવી લઇએ. કોઈપણ વસ્તુના ફાયદા અને ગેરફાયદા રહેલા હોય છે ચાલો સૌ પ્રથમ કોમ્પ્યુટર ના ફાયદા વિશે જાણીએ.

કમ્પ્યુટરની incredible સ્પીડ અને સ્ટોરેજની મદદથી મનુષ્ય જીવનને ખૂબ જ સરળ બનાવી દીધું છે માણસ જ્યારે પણ ઇચ્છે ત્યારે કોઈ પણ વસ્તુને સેવ કરી શકે છે સેવ કરેલી વસ્તુ ને ઈચ્છા અનુસાર વાપરી શકે છે. કમ્પ્યુટર એક ખૂબ જ versatile મશીન છે કારણ કે તે ખૂબ જ ફ્લેક્સિબલ છે job માટે. તો ચાલો જાણીએ કમ્પ્યુટરના કેટલાક ફાયદા અને ગેરફાયદા.

Multitasking ( બહુવિધ કામગીરી):-

મલ્ટી ટાસ્કીંગ (બહુવિધ કામગીરી) એ કમ્પ્યુટરની ખૂબ જ મહત્વનો ફાયદો છે. જેમાં કોઈ પણ માણસ multiple task , multiple operation, numerical problemને કેલ્ક્યુલેટ કરી શકે છે એ પણ ખૂબ જ ઓછા સમયમાં. કમ્પ્યુટર સરળતાથી trillions of instruction per second calculate કરી શકે છે.

Speed (કમ્પ્યુટરની ઝડ૫):-

હવે કમ્પ્યૂટર માત્ર એક કેલ્ક્યુલેટર ડીવાઈઝ નથી રહ્યુ‌ હવે તે આપણા જીવનનો એક મહત્વપૂર્ણ હિસ્સો બની ચૂક્યો છે. તેની સૌથી મોટી એડવાન્ટેજ છે તેની હાઇ સ્પીડ, જે કોઈ પણ કામને ઓછા સમયમાં પૂર્ણ કરવામાં મદદ કરે છે. તેના દ્વારા કોઈપણ કામ તાત્કાલિક કરી શકે છે જે કામ manually રીતે કરવા માટે ખૂબ જ સમય લાગી શકે.

Cost/ Stores huge amount of data (ખર્ચ / વિશાળ પ્રમાણમાં ડેટા સંગ્રહ:-

આ એક  low cost solution છે. ખુબ જ ખોછા ખર્ચે વિશાળ પ્રમાણમાં ડેટાને એક જ જગ્યાએ સંગ્રહિત કરી શકાય છે.જે એક ખુબ જ મોટો ફાયદો છે.

Accuracy (ચોકસાઇ):- 

કમ્પ્યુટરનો મૂળ ફાયદો એ છે કે તે માત્ર ગણતરીઓ જ નહીં પણ તમામ કાર્યો ખુબ જ ચોકસાઈથી કરી શકે છે. તેમાં ભુલ થવાની શકયતા લગભગ ”ના” બરાબર હોય છે.

Data Security (ડેટાની સુરક્ષા ):-

ડિજિટલ ડેટાને સુરક્ષિત રાખવો એટલે Data Security . કમ્પ્યુટર વિનાશક દળોથી અને સાયબર એટેક અથવા access attack(એકસેસ એટેક) જેવા અનધિકૃત વપરાશકર્તાઓની અનિચ્છનીય ક્રિયાથી સુરક્ષા પ્રદાન કરે છે.

કોમ્પ્યુટર ના ગેરફાયદા :-

આપણે જાણીએ છીએ કે ફાયદા ગેરલાભ સાથે આવે છે. તો ચાલો કમ્પ્યુટરના કેટલાક ગેરફાયદા ૫ણ જાણી લઇએ.

Virus and hacking attacks:- 

વાયરસ એક worm (કીડો) છે અને હેકિંગ એ કેટલાક ગેરકાયદેસર હેતુઓ માટે કમ્પ્યુટર પર ફક્ત અનધિકૃત access  છે. જેમાં યુઝરને તેની ખબર હોતી નથી.

આ વાયરસને સરળતાથી ઇમેઇલ એટેચમેન્ટ, infected website ૫ર એડર્વટાઇઝ જોવાથી, USB etc ડિવાઇઝના ઉ૫યોગ દ્વારા તમારા કમ્પ્યુટરમાં પ્રવેસી શકે છે.

જો એક વખત વાયરસ તમારા કમ્પ્યુટરમાં આવી ગયો તો તે તમારા કમ્પ્યુટર ની તમામ ફાઇલોને બર્બાદ કરી નાખે છે. 

Online Cyber Crim es :-

ઓનલાઇન સાયબર-ક્રાઇમ એટલે કમ્પ્યુટર અને નેટવર્કનો ઉપયોગ ગુના કરવા માટે કરવો. હાલના ડીજીટલ યુગમાં કમ્પ્યુટર અને અને ઇન્ટરનેટના ઉ૫યોગ દ્વારા આવા સાઇબર ક્રાઇમના ગુનાઓની સંખ્યા મોટા પ્રમાણમાં વઘી ગઇ છે જેમાં ઓનલાઇન છેતરપીંડીથી પૈસા ઉ૫ાડી લેવા, અંગત માહિતી તેમજ ડોકયુમેન્ટનો દુર ઉ૫યોગ વિગેરેનો સમાવેશ થાય છે..

Reduction in employment opportunity(રોજગારીની તકોમાં ઘટાડો): –

મુખ્યત્વે પાછલી  generation માં કમ્પ્યુટરનો ઉપયોગ થતો ન હતો અથવા જ્યારે નવા નવા કમ્પ્યુટર આવ્યા ત્યારે તેમને કમ્પ્યુટરનું જ્ઞાન જ ન હતું. જેમ કે આપણે બેન્કિંગ ક્ષેત્રે જોયું છે કે જ્યારે કમ્પ્યુટર બેન્કિંગ ક્ષેત્રેની વાત આવે છે ત્યારે વરિષ્ઠ બેંક કર્મચારીઓએ આ સમસ્યાનો સામનો કરવો પડ્યો હતો. તદઉ૫રાંત એક કમ્પ્યુટર એન માણસોનુ કામ સરળતાથી, ચોકકસાઇ થી અને અતિ ઝડ૫થી કરી શકે છેે આનાથી ૫ણ રોજગારીની તકોમાં ઘટાડો થયો છે.

કમ્પ્યુટર વિશે પર નિબંધ Computer Essay in Gujarati OR Computer Vishe Guajrati Nibandh: વિજ્ઞાનની એક અદ્ભુત શોધ એટલે કમ્પ્યુટર, આજે તો કમ્પ્યુટર વગરના જીવનની કલ્પના જ થઈ શકતી નથી, હવે ડગલે ને પગલે કમ્પ્યુટર નો ઉપયોગ થવા લાગ્યો છે. આજનો યુગ કમ્પ્યુટર નો યુગ છે.

આજે વીજળીનાં બિલ, ટેલિફોનનાં બિલ, રેલવેની ટિકિટો, અગત્યના પત્રો વગેરે કમ્પ્યુટરની મદદથી તૈયાર કરવામાં આવે છે. આજે આપણા જીવનના લગભગ તમામ ક્ષેત્રોમાં કમ્પ્યુટરનો પ્રવેશ થઈ ચૂક્યો છે. ડૉક્ટર્સ, વકીલો, ચાર્ટર્ડ એકાઉન્ટન્ટ્સ, દુકાનદારો વગેરે પણ પોતાના આગવાં કમ્પ્યુટર રાખતા થયા છે. શહેરોમાં ઠેરઠેર કમ્પ્યુટરના વર્ગો ધમધોકાર ચાલી રહ્યા છે.

ટેલિવિઝન, રેડિયો, વીડિયો કેસેટ રેકૉર્ડર અને ટેપરેકોર્ડરની જેમ કમ્પ્યુટર પણ એક ઇલેક્ટ્રોનિક સાધન છે. તેની મદદથી આપણે જટિલમાં જટિલ કામ પણ ઓછી મહેનતે અને અત્યંત ઝડપથી કરી શકીએ છીએ. કમ્પ્યુટર ઝડપથી લખી શકે છે, છાપી શકે છે તેમજ ગણતરી અને પૃથક્કરણ કરી શકે છે, કમ્પ્યુટર માહિતી સંગ્રહી રાખે છે અને જરૂર પડશે. તે ક્ષણે જ જરૂરી માહિતી પૂરી પાડે છે. તે આપેલી માહિતીના આધારે યોગ્ય નિર્ણય લે છે, કમ્પ્યુટર માણસની જેમ પરસ્પર સંદેશાઓની આપ-લે કરી શકે છે. ઇન્ટરનેટ દ્વારા ઉપલબ્ધ થતી ઇ-મેઇલની તેમજ ફક્સની સેવા આને જ આભારી છે. વળી તે આપણી જેમ ‘ટીમવર્ક’ પણ કરી શકે છે. તે ‘ કમ્પ્યુટર નેટવર્ક’ કહેવાય છે.

કમ્પ્યુટરની કેટલીક આગવી લાક્ષણિકતાઓ છે. તે કોઈ પણ કામ ઝડપથી કરી શકે છે. તેને કદી થાક લાગતો નથી કે કંટાળો આવતો નથી. તમે તેનો ‘પાવર’ ચાલુ રાખો અને તેને કામ આપતા રહો, તો તે કામ કર્યા જ કરે છે. કમ્પ્યુટર ખૂબ જ ચોકસાઈપૂર્વક કામ કરે છે. તેને આપવામાં આવેલી સૂચનાઓ બરાબર હોય તો તે પોતાની કામગીરીમાં કદીય ભૂલ કરતું નથી. કમ્પ્યુટર તેને આપવામાં આવતી સૂચનાઓ પ્રમાણે વર્તે છે. કમ્પ્યુટર પર આપણે પત્ર ટાઇપ કરી શકીએ છીએ, આપણા વ્યવસાયનો હિસાબ રાખી શકીએ છીએ, ઘરનો નકશો દોરી શકીએ છીએ કે રમતો રમી શકીએ છીએ.

આજે વિવિધ ક્ષેત્રોમાં કમ્પ્યુટરનો પ્રચુર માત્રામાં ઉપયોગ થવા લાગ્યો છે. યુદ્ધ અને સંરક્ષણના તમામ વિભાગોમાં કમ્પ્યુટરનો વ્યાપક ઉપયોગ થાય છે. અવકાશી સંશોધનના ક્ષેત્રમાં પણ તેનો ઉપયોગ થાય છે. આપણે જુદાજુદા ગ્રહો, તારાઓ વગેરેનાં રહસ્યો સમજવા માટે અવકાશમાં ઉપગ્રહો અને યાનો મોકલ્યાં છે. તેમાં કમ્પ્યુટરનું મોટું યોગદાન રહેલું છે. આધુનિક વેધશાળામાં ઉપગ્રહોની મદદથી લેવામાં આવેલી તસવીરોનું કમ્પ્યુટરની મદદ વડે વિશ્લેષણ કરવામાં આવે છે. તેના પરિણામે હવામાનની સચોટ આગાહીઓ કરી શકાય છે. વેપાર, ઉદ્યોગ, ફિલ્મ અને રમતગમતના ક્ષેત્રોમાં પણ કમ્પ્યુટરનો વ્યાપક ઉપયોગ કરવામાં આવે છે.

કમ્પ્યુટરમાં કી-બોર્ડ, માઉસ, મૉનિટર, પ્રિન્ટર જેવા વિવિધ ભાગો હોય છે. કી-બોર્ડ ટાઇપરાઇટર જેવું હોય છે. માઉસ સ્ક્રીન પર કર્સર ખરોડવા તથા આકૃતિ દોરવા માટે ઉપયોગી થાય છે. મૉનિટર પર આદેશો, માહિતી કે આકૃતિ જોઈ શકાય છે. પ્રિન્ટરની મુદદથી પત્ર કે રિપૉર્ટ છાપી શકાય છે.

આમ, કમ્પ્યુટર આપણને ઘણું ઉપયોગી છે. પરંતુ તેની કેટલીક મર્યાદાઓ પણ છે. તેની પાસે પોતાની બુદ્ધિ હોતી નથી, તે માત્ર આપેલા આદેશોનું જ વફાદારીપૂર્વક પાલન કરે છે. આપણે તેને સૂચનાઓ આપવામાં ભૂલ કરીએ તો કમ્પ્યુટર પણ ભૂલો કરે છે અથવા કામ આપતું બંધ પણ થઈ જાય છે. પરંતુ જો તેને યોગ્ય સૂચનાઓ આપવામાં આવે તો તે આપણને ઘણું ઉપયોગી બની રહે છે. કમ્પ્યુટર આપણા નિયંત્રણ હેઠળ રહેવું જોઈએ, આપણે કમ્પ્યુટર ના નિયંત્રણ હેઠળ ન રહેવું જોઈએ.

ઘણી વાર આપણે કોમ્પ્યુટર ના કેબીનેટ ને CPU તરીકે ઓળખીએ છીએ. પરંતુ એ cpu નહિ પરંતુ જેમાં કોમ્પ્યુટર હાર્ડવેર ના સૌથી અગત્ય ના ભાગ જેમ કે મધરબોર્ડ, હાર્ડ-ડિસ્ક, રેમ વગેરે હોય છે. કોમ્પ્યુટર ના મધરબોર્ડ માં હોય છે CPU એટલે કે “સેન્ટ્રલ પ્રોસેસીંગ યુનીટ”. તો ચાલો જાણીએ CPU વિષે ની દરેક વિગત વિષે.

CPU CPU એટલે "સેન્ટ્રલ પ્રોસ... More એ સેન્ટ્રલ પ્રોસેસીંગ યુનીટ હોય છે જેનું મુખ્ય કામ આદેશ માનવાનું અને બીજી આવેલા પાર્ટ્સ પાસે થી કામ લેવાનું છે. પ્રોસેસર તમારા પીસી, લેપટોપ, મોબાઈલ ફોન કે ટેબ્લેટ નું મુખ્ય ભાગ છે. તમે તેને કોમ્પ્યુટર નો મગજ તરીકે ગણો તો પણ ચાલે. સામાન્ય રીતે આપણે કોમ્પ્યુટર ના કેબીનેટ ને આખો CPU CPU એટલે "સેન્ટ્રલ પ્રોસ... More તરીકે ઓળખીએ છે. પણ ખરેખર તો CPU CPU એટલે "સેન્ટ્રલ પ્રોસ... More એક નાની કોમ્પ્યુટર ચીપ છે જેને મુખ્ય સર્કીટ બોર્ડ એટલે કે “મધરબોર્ડ” ઉપર ફીટ કરવામાં આવે છે. પછી કોમ્પ્યુટર ના બીજા પાર્ટ્સ જેવા કે હાર્ડડીસ્ક, રેમ, ગ્રાફિક્સ કાર્ડ, કીબોર્ડ ને તેની સાથે જોડવામાં આવે છે.

More ની અંદર આવેલા હોય છે ટ્રાન્ઝીસ્ટર. આપણે ઘણી વાર સાંભળ્યું હશે કે કોમ્પ્યુટર માત્ર ૦ અને ૧ ની બાઈનરી લેન્ગવેજ સમજે છે, આ ટ્રાન્ઝીસ્ટર છે આ ભાષા સમજે અને એ પ્રમાણે કામ કરે છે. આવા ટ્રાન્ઝીસ્ટર સેકડો નહિ પરંતુ અબજો ની સંખ્યા માં હોય છે. ઇન્ટેલ ના પ્રોસેસર I7 સામાન્ય રીતે ૧.૭૫ અબજ જેટલા ટ્રાન્ઝીસ્ટર હોય છે અને દરેક પ્રોસેસર માં આ અલગ અલગ હોય શકે છે. આટલા ટ્રાન્ઝીસ્ટર હોવા છતા આ ચીપ ની સાઈઝ માત્ર અમુક મીલીમીટર ની જ હોય છે. આ આજ ની હાઈ ટેક ટેકનોલોજી નો કમાલ છે જે એટલા નાની સાઈઝ માં અબજો ટ્રાન્ઝીસ્ટર ફીટ કરી દે છે. આની પાસે એક નિયમ કામ કરે છે જેને સામાન્ય રીતે “મુર નો નિયમ” કહેવામાં આવે છે. તેમને આવું કહેલું કે દર બે વર્ષે ટ્રાન્ઝીસ્ટર ની સંખ્યા બમણી થઇ જશે અને એની સાઈઝ નાની થઇ જશે.

જો મોબાઈલ ના પ્રોસેસર ની વાત કરીએ તો તે કોમ્પ્યુટર ના પ્રોસેસર કરતા થોડા અલગ હોય છે. મોબાઈલ ના પ્રોસેસર ને સામાન્ય રીતે “SOC” એટલે કે “સીસ્ટમ ઓન ચીપ” પણ કહેવામાં આવે છે. કારણ કે મોબાઈલ માં બધા અલગ અલગ કામ માટે ચીપ ન આવી શકે માટે તેના દરેક કામ માટે એક જ ચીપ માં તેના બધા ફન્કશન કામ કરી શકે એવી રીતે બનાવવા માં આવે છે. આ માં પ્રોસેસર ની અંદર જ CPU CPU એટલે "સેન્ટ્રલ પ્રોસ... More ,GPU,MODEM, RAM RAM એટલે કે Random Access Memory આ એક ખ... More ,ROM, WIFI, blutooth વગેરે એક જ ચીપ થી કામ કરે છે.

તમે જો ક્યારેય CPU CPU એટલે "સેન્ટ્રલ પ્રોસ... More નું ડીસ્ક્રીપસન વાંચ્યું હોય તો તે કઈક આવું હશે.

હવે આપણે તેને સમજીએ.

પેહલું છે કંપની નું નામ ઇન્ટેલ

 I7 એ એના પ્રોસેસર નું નામ છે, આવી રીતે તેના I3, i5, જેવા ઘણા અલગ અલગ પ્રોસેસર આવે છે.

4700 માં પેહલો 4 પ્રોસેસર ની જનરેશન બતાવે છે મતલબ કે એ 4 જનરેશન નું પ્રોસેસર છે, બાકી ના ૩ ડીજીટ તેના SKU કોડ બતાવે છે,

K એ એક સફીક્સ છે તેનો મતલબ છે કે CPU CPU એટલે "સેન્ટ્રલ પ્રોસ... More ને ઓવરકલોક કરી શકાય છે. આ સફીક્સ ઇન્ટેલ ની બધા જનરેશન માં અલગ અલગ હોય છે. માટે તેને વેબસાઈટ ઉપર ચેક કરવું.

QUAD CORE :  આ તેમાં આવેલા કોર વિષે કહે છે DUAL મતલબ ૨ ,QUAD નો મતલબ ૪ ,HEXA એટલે ૬ ,OCTA એટલે 8. એક કોર એક પ્રોસેસર ની જેમ કામ કરે છે. માટે QUAD core માં તમને એકસાથે ૪ પ્રોસેસર નો પાવર મળે છે. આની મદદ થી કોમ્પ્યુટર ની મલ્ટી-ટાસ્ક કેપેસીટી વધી જાય છે.

Skylake: આ પ્રોસેસર નું કોડ નેમ બતાવે છે. ઇન્ટેલ હમેશા પોતાના દરેક પ્રોસેસર ને એક કોડનેમ આપે છે જે નવી ટેકનોલોજી પ્રમાણે અલગ અલગ હોય છે.

2.4 GHZ એ પ્રોસેસર ની સ્પીડ બતાવે છે ઘણીવાર એને કલોક સ્પીડ પણ કહેવામાં આવે છે. ગીગા મતલબ અબજ. આ પ્રોસેસર ૨.4 અબજ instruction પ્રતી સેકન્ડ એ કામ કરે છે.

L2, L3 Cache કેશ અથવા કેચ પણ કહેવામ... More :  આ એક ખાસ પ્રકાર ની મેમરી છે જે પ્રોસેસર માં આવેલી હોય છે. સામાન્ય રીતે આની સાઈઝ અમુક મેગાબાઈટ ની જ હોય છે પરંતુ આ એકદમ ફાસ્ટ હોય છે. આ મેમેરી માં પ્રોસેસર દ્વારા વાપરવાની માહિતી હોય છે. કઈ માહિતી પછી કઈ માહિતી આવશે એ પેહલા આ કેશ મેમરી માં આવે છે પછી ત્યાં થી પ્રોસેસર દ્વારા એના ઉપર પ્રોસેસ થાય છે. આની મદદ થી પ્રોસેસર કામ કરવાની સ્પીડ એકદમ વધી જાય છે.

47W : આ પ્રોસેસર ને જોઈતો પાવર નો અંદાજ આપે છે. આ પ્રોસેસર માટે ૪૭ વોટ નો પાવર જોઈએ છે.

BGA 1364 : આ પ્રોસેસર આવેલો સોકેટ નો પ્રકાર બતાવે છે. તમે જયારે કોઈ પ્રોસેસર પસંદ કરો ત્યારે તે એવા મધરબોર્ડ ઉપર ચાલશે જે આ સોકેટ પ્રકાર સપોર્ટ કરતુ હોય.

તમને સવાલ જરૂર થતો હશે કે CPU CPU એટલે "સેન્ટ્રલ પ્રોસ... More નું ઉત્પાદન કેવી રીતે કરવામાં આવતું હશે?

નીચે આપેલ ગુજરાતીમાં  100 , 200  અને 500 શબ્દોમાં નિબંધ ધોરણ 5 થી  10 ,  11  અને  12  માટે ઉપયોગી થશે.

ગુજરાતી નિબંધ | નિબંધ લેખન એટલે શું | all gujarati nibandh list, નિબંધ લેખન એટલે શું.

• નિબંધના ‘શીર્ષક' વિશે સૌપ્રથમ વિચાર થવો જોઈએ. શીર્ષકના આધારે નિબંધલેખનમાં કહ્યા મુદાઓ સમાવવા તેનો ખ્યાલ આવે છે. 
• નિબંધના બધા મુદ્દાઓનું અનુસંધાન તેનું શીર્ષક બની રહેવું જોઈએ. વિષયની બહાર જઈ મુદાઓની ચર્ચા કરવી-એમાં વિષયનું તાદૃશ્ય જળવાઈ શકતું નથી.
• શીર્ષકના આધારે તેના મુદાઓની નોંધ કર્યા પછી કયા મુદ્દાને કેટલો અને કેવી રીતે વિસ્તારવો છે તેનું મનન કરવું જોઈએ.
• મુદ્દાને અનુરૂપ અને વિષયને સંગત હોય તેવા અવતરણો, કહેવતો, રૂઢિપ્રયોગો, ગુજરાતી કે અન્ય જાણીતી ભાષાની પંક્તિઓ, સુભાષિતો, વગેરેનો ઉપયોગ નિબંધમાં કરવા જોઈએ, નિબંધના મુદાઓમાં અલગ-અલગ સ્થાને તે મુકાય; એકસાથે બધી જ પંક્તિઓ એક જ મુદામાં ન લખાય તેની સાવધાની રાખવી જોઈએ.
• વાક્યો અતિશય લાંબો ન થાય તેનો લખતી વખતે ખાસ ખ્યાલ રાખવો.
• પરિચ્છેદની સપ્રમાણતા જળવાઈ રહે તેવી કાળજી કરવી, અને
• વિરામચિહ્નોનો યોગ્ય ઉપયોગ થાય, અનુસ્વાર, જોડણી વગેરે પણ યોગ્ય રીતે લખાય તેની ખાસ કાળજી રાખવી.
• નિબંધનો પ્રથમ મુદ્દો પ્રસ્તાવના અને છેલ્લે મુદ્દો ઉપસંહાર યોગ્ય રીતે લખાય તે ખાસ જોવું. નિબંધના થોડા નમુનાઓ જોઈ જવાથી આ કુશળતા આવી જશે.
• કાગળમાં યોગ્ય હાંસિયો રખાય, મુદાઓ લખવામાં થોડા મોટા અક્ષર લખાય, ફકરા-પરિચ્છેદની શરૂઆતમાં યોગ્ય જગ્યા છોડાય અને પ્રત્યેક પેટા મુદાને અંતે ગુરુવિરામ મુકાય તે પણ ખાસ જોવું.
• પરીક્ષામાં પુછાતા નિબંધો વિદ્યાર્થીની વય-કક્ષા અને અનુભવ જગતને ધ્યાને રાખીને જ પુછાય છે, એટલે ‘શીર્ષક’ ઉપર થોડું મનન કરવાથી તે વિષય-નિરૂપણ માટેના મુદ્દાઓ અને રજૂઆતના શબ્દો અવશ્ય મળી આવે છે, પણ હા, એ માટે અગાઉ થોડા નિબંધો જોઈ જવા જરૂરી ગણાય.
• નિબંધ પૂરેપૂરો લખાઈ જાય પછી તેને ઓછામાં ઓછા એક વખત અવશ્ય વાંચી જવો જોઈએ, જેથી તેમાં રહેલી નાની પણ જરૂરી ક્ષતિઓ સુધારી શકાય છે
• સારું લખાણ લખવા માટે રોજબરોજની વૈશ્વિક, રાષ્ટ્રીય, પ્રાદેશિક અને આજુબાજુની મહત્ત્વની ઘટનાઓ વિશે જાણકારી પ્રાપ્ત થતી રહેવી જોઈએ. એ માટે વર્તમાનપત્રો, સામયિકો, સમાચારો સાથે નાતો જોડવો-જોડી રાખવો જોઈએ.
• પુરુષાર્થ એટલે શું ? 
• પુરુષાર્થ વિશે બીજાના - અનુભવીઓના કેવા ખ્યાલો છે ? 
• નસીબથી બધું સારું ગોઠવી શકાય કે પુરુષાર્થનો ખપ પડે ?

• તમે જે નિબંધ લખવા માંગો છો તેમાં કઈ વીગતો આવી શકે, તે વિચારો અને નોંધો. તેના મુદ્દા તારવો. આ મુદ્દાની કાચી યાદી બનાવો. ત્યાર બાદ મુદ્દાની ક્રમિકતા નક્કી કરો. કયો મુદો પહેલા લેવાથી તમારો નિબંધ વધુ ચુસ્ત બનશે અને લખાણ વધુ પ્રવાહી લાગશે.
• તમે સમાનાર્થી શબ્દો, વિરુદ્ધાર્થ શબ્દો, રૂઢિપ્રયોગ, કહેવત, દુહાઓ વગેરેનો અભ્યાસ કર્યો છે. તેનો ઉપયોગ કરો અને તમારા લખાણને વધુ સચોટ અને અસરકારક બનાવો.
• પસંદ કરેલા નિબંધ અનુસાર તમારી ભાષા હોવી જોઈએ.
• જો તમે પ્રકૃતિવર્ણનનો વિષય પસંદ કર્યો હોય તો તેમાં પ્રકૃતિનું દૃશ્ય નજર સામે ઊભું થઈ જાય તેવું, સૂક્ષ્મ વીગતો સાથે વર્ણન કરવું જોઈએ. પ્રકૃતિના રમ્ય - રૌદ્ર રૂપની વાત કરતી વખતે તેને માનવસ્વભાવની સંકુલતા સાથે પણ સાંકળી શકાય. પ્રકૃતિ મન - હૃદયને સ્પર્શતી હોય છે. તેથી તેમાં પ્રયોજાયેલાં ભાવવાચક, ઉદ્ગારવાચક વાક્યો પણ નિબંધને વધુ હૃદયસ્પર્શી બનાવી શકે.
• જો તમે માહિતીપ્રધાન નિબંધ લખવા માગતા હોવ તો તમારી પાસે મુદાઓને અનુરૂપ માહિતી હોવી જોઈએ. જરૂરી પરિભાષા, તેના લાભ-ગેરલાભ અંગે અથવા પક્ષ-વિપક્ષ અંગેની માહિતી, તેનાં કારણો, ઉપાયો વગેરે જેવી વીગતો સમાવી લેવી જોઈએ.
• ઘટનાપ્રધાન નિબંધ લખવા માગતા હોવ તો એ ઘટનાનું તમારે મન શું મહત્ત્વ છે, વ્યક્તિગત અથવા સામાજિક સંદર્ભોમાં એ ઘટના વિશેષ છે ? તમારા મનમાં રોપાયેલી ઘટના વાચનારના મનમાં રોપાય તેવું વર્ણન ઘટનાપ્રધાન નિબંધને આસ્વાદ્ય બનાવી શકે.
• જો તમારે આત્મનાત્મક નિબંધ લખવો હોય તો તમે વિચારી જુઓ કે તમને કેવી વાત સાંભળવામાં રસ પડી શકે? કોઈ પોતાની આત્મકથા કહે તો કોણ સાંભળ. ક્યારે સાંભળે? તેથી આ પ્રકારના નિબંધમાં બોલચાલની લઢણ નિબંધને આકર્ષક બનાવી શકે. વળી, જે પોતાના જીવનના અંતિમ તબક્કામાં હોય, તે પોતાના જીવનના સારરૂપ કોઈ સંદેશ આપે, તેથી કોઈ પણ આત્મકથા જે જીવનસંદેશ આપતી હોય તો તેનું મહત્ત્વ હોય.

What is difference between Translation and Transliteration?

A translation tells you the meaning of words in another language. For E.g the translation of "How are you?" would be "તમે કેમ છો?" in Gujarati. Two big computer vision papers boost prospect of safer self-driving vehicles

New chip and camera technology bring closer potential of hands-free road time.

Like nuclear fusion and jet-packs, the self-driving car is a long-promised technology that has stalled for years - yet armed with research, boffins think they have created potential improvements.

Citizens of Phoenix, San Francisco, and Los Angeles are able to take one of Waymo's self-driving taxis, first introduced to the public in December 2020. But they have not been without their glitches. Just last month in San Francisco, for example, one of the taxi service's autonomous vehicles drove down the wrong side of the street to pass a unicycle. In December last year, a Waymo vehicle hit a backwards-facing pickup truck , resulting in a report with the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and a software update.

But this week, not one but two groups of researchers bidding to improve the performance of self-driving cars and other autonomous vehicles have published papers in the international science journal Nature.

A design for a new chip geared towards autonomous vehicles has arrived from China. Tsinghua University's Luping Shi and colleagues have taken inspiration from the human visual system by both combining low-accuracy, fast event-based detection with more accurate, but slower visualization of an image.

The researchers were able to show the chip — dubbed Tianmouc — could process pixel arrays quickly and robustly in an automotive driving perception system.

In a paper published today, the authors said: "We demonstrate the integration of a Tianmouc chip into an autonomous driving system, showcasing its abilities to enable accurate, fast and robust perception, even in challenging corner cases on open roads. The primitive-based complementary sensing paradigm helps in overcoming fundamental limitations in developing vision systems for diverse open-world applications."

In a separate paper, Davide Scaramuzza, University of Zurich robotics and perception professor, and his colleagues adopt a similar hybrid approach but apply it to camera technologies.

Cameras for self-driving vehicles navigate a trade-off between bandwidth and latency. While high-res color cameras have good resolution, they require high bandwidth to detect rapid changes. Conversely, reducing the bandwidth increases latency, affecting the timely processing of data for potentially life-saving decision making.

To get out of this bind, the Swiss-based researchers developed a hybrid camera combining event processing with high-bandwidth image processing. Events cameras only record intensity changes, and report them as sparse measurements, meaning the system does not suffer from the bandwidth/latency trade-off.

The event camera is used to detect changes in the blind time between image frames using events. Event data converted into a graph, which changes over time and connects nearby points, is computed locally. The resulting hybrid object detector reduces the detection time in dangerous high-speed situations, according to an explanatory video.

In their paper , the authors say: "Our method exploits the high temporal resolution and sparsity of events and the rich but low temporal resolution information in standard images to generate efficient, high-rate object detections, reducing perceptual and computational latency."

They argue their use of a 20 frames per second RGB camera plus an event camera can achieve the same latency as a 5,000-fps camera with the bandwidth of a 45-fps camera without compromising accuracy.

"Our approach paves the way for efficient and robust perception in edge-case scenarios by uncovering the potential of event cameras," the authors write.

With a hybrid approach to both cameras and data processing in the offing, more widespread adoption of self-driving vehicles may be just around the corner. ®
