एक उच्च सीमा की दीवार प्रत्येक कोने पर व्यापक अष्टकोणीय गढ़ वाले स्थल को जोड़ती है। एक स्मारकीय प्रवेश द्वार दक्षिणी ओर के केंद्र में रखा गया है। सामने की दक्षिणी अदालत में अस्तबल, आउटहाउस और अन्य सम्पादन जोड़े गए थे।

प्रवेश और मार्ग:

दक्षिणी प्रवेश द्वार चम्फर्ड कोण, मेहराब, पैरापेट और वॉल्टेड छत युक्त है। इस द्वार के माध्यम से मुख्य बाड़े के बगीचे में पहुंच प्रदान की जाती है। ताजमहल की इमारत और उसके बगीचे का सामने का दृश्य इस दृष्टि से देखा जाता है। बाग चारबाग के सिद्धांत पर रखा गया है।

यह पूरी तरह से सममित है जिसमें पक्के रास्ते, लॉन, झाड़ियों, फूलों के पौधे, फव्वारे और ऊंचे कमल ताल हैं, जो सभी छवियों को प्रतिबिंबित करने की व्यवस्था करते हैं। एक सीधा मार्ग मुख्य संरचना की ओर जाता है।

मुख्य संलग्नक:

इस इमारत के उत्तरी छोर पर महत्वपूर्ण संरचनाएं रखी गई हैं, जिसमें केंद्र में मकबरे की इमारत है। संगमरमर में दो सहायक संस्करण भी सममित रूप से प्रत्येक तरफ रखे गए हैं। इन दोनों में से, पश्चिम की तरफ मस्जिद है और पूर्व में दूसरी जगह केवल समरूपता के लिए मस्जिद की प्रतिकृति है। यह एक गेस्टहाउस के रूप में इस्तेमाल किया जा सकता है।

मुख्य मकबरा भवन:

मुख्य सफेद संगमरमर का मकबरा भवन एक बड़े ऊंचे चबूतरे के बीच में स्थित है, जिसकी योजना 57 मीटर वर्ग और 6.7 मीटर ऊँची है। यह छत के दक्षिण की ओर के केंद्र में निर्मित सममित सीढ़ियों द्वारा प्रवेश किया जाता है। छत पर मुख्य इमारत चम्फर्ड कोनों के साथ चौकोर है।

आंतरिक में मुख्य अष्टकोणीय केंद्रीय हॉल होता है जिसमें सहायक कक्ष भी होते हैं जो विकिरण मार्ग से जुड़े प्रत्येक कोने में रखे गए अष्टकोणीय होते हैं। मुख्य हॉल दो मंजिला है, जिसमें एक सेनेटोफ़ चेंबर है जिसमें नीचे उतरते हुए कदम हैं। मुख्य हॉल को गोलार्ध की तिजोरी से ढक दिया गया था, जिसमें डबल गुंबद का भीतरी खोल था।

इसके ऊपर मुख्य गुंबद को बीच में एक बड़ा शून्य छोड़कर बनाया गया था। छिद्रित संगमरमर स्क्रीन ने दो स्तरों में धनुषाकार खिड़कियां भरीं। कोने के कमरों के अंदर डैडोस पर कुछ नक्काशी है। स्मारक का प्रत्येक भाग सुंदरता, सुंदरता, घटता, सजावट को दर्शाता है जो एक शाही महिला को विशेषता देता है जिसे स्मारक समर्पित किया गया था।

एक सुंदर और बारीक घुमावदार गुंबद केंद्र में 57 मीटर की ऊंचाई तक एक गोलाकार डॉम के ऊपर होता है। इसी तरह के छोटे गुंबदों को कोने के कमरों में रखा गया था। दीवारों के ऊपर मेरिलेंट किए गए पैरापेट्स इमारत के क्षितिज को सजाते हैं। पत्थर के जोड़ों की बारीक रेखाओं ने न केवल सतहों को विभाजित किया, बल्कि सतहों की सुंदरता को भी समृद्ध किया।

ताज का नजारा देखने में अद्भुत है ये भारत के इतिहास की गवाही देता प्रतीत होता है। कहा जाता है, कि बीस हजार श्रमिकों की रात दिन मेहनत के बावजूद इसे खड़ा करने में 20 वर्ष लग गये थे।

मुमताज का मकबरा सफेद संगमरमर की एक बड़ी शिला पर बना हुआ है जिसके चारों ओर चार खूबसूरत मीनार हैं। मकबरे के अंदर, मुमताज महल और शाहजहां के मृत शरीर को दफन किया गया था।

विश्व की सबसे सुन्दर इमारतों में ताजमहल का नाम बड़े सम्मान से लिया जाता है । तीन सौ वर्ष से भी अधिक प्राचीन इस स्मारक का आकर्षण दूर-दूर से यात्रियों को प्रति वर्ष खींच लाता है।

इस ऐतिहासिक विशल भवन का निर्माण सन् 1631 ई० में हुआ है । जो आज भी उसी शान से आगरा में यमुना के दाहिने किनारे पर खड़ा है।

शरद पूर्णिमा की रात्रि को ताजमहल की सुन्दरता दुगुनी हो जाती है। चन्द्र की किरणों से उसका शांत सफेद मुख को देखकर किसका हृदय हर्ष से नहीं भर जाता। अन्धेरी रात में तो ताजमहल एक सफेद साड़ी ओढ़े हुए एक विधवा नारी-सा करुण दिखाई देता हैं । जल में ताजमहल की प्रतिछाया चंचल बालक के समान किलकारियाँ मारती हुई दिखलाई देती हैं । इसी अनुपम छटा के नए-नए रूप देखने के लिए देश के कोने-कोने से और विदेशों से भी लोग प्रायः आते रहते हैं।

आगरा एक ऐतिहासिक नगर है। यहाँ अनेक ऐतिहासिक भवन हैं। किन्तु ताजमहल उन सबमें सुन्दर है। ताजमहल विश्व के सात महान आश्चर्यों में से एक है। यह सुन्दर इमारत भारत में ही नहीं बल्कि सम्पूर्ण विश्व में प्रसिद्ध है। यह मुगलकाल की सुन्दर वास्तुकला का सर्वोत्तम उदाहरण है।

ताजमहल यमुना नदी के किनारे आगरा शहर के बाहरी भाग पर बना है। इस भवन का निर्माण मुगल शासक शाहजहाँ ने अपनी प्रिय रानी अर्जुमन्द बानो बेगम की याद में करवाया था। शाहजहाँ उसे मुमताज महल कहता था। शाहजहाँ मुमताज महल से अत्यधिक प्रेम करता था। उसकी मृत्यु होने पर उसकी याद में उसने यह भवन बनवाया। इसीलिये ताजमहल को प्रेम की निशानी भी माना जाता है। ताजमहल सफेद संगमरमर से बना है। यह इतनी विशाल इमारत है कि हजारों मजदूरों ने इसे बनाने में बाईस वर्षों का समय लिया था। ताजमहल 1631 ई. में बनना आरम्भ हुआ तथा 1653 ई. में इसका निर्माण कार्य पूर्ण रूप से समाप्त हुआ। उस्ताद ईसा आफन्दी, जो रोम के रहने वाले थे तथा मोहम्मद शरीफ समरकंदी ताजमहल के प्रमुख वास्तुविद् थे। ताजमहल के एक ओर मस्जिद तथा दूसरी तरफ तस्बीहखाना निर्मित करवाया गया है। ताजमहल के चारों कानों पर सफेद संगमरमर से बनी चारमीनारें हैं तथा बीच में बड़ा गुंबदवाला भवन हैं। इसी भवन में मुमताज महल तथा शाहजहाँ की समाधियाँ हैं। भवन के ऊपरी सतह पर नकली समाधियाँ बनाई गई हैं। असली समाधियाँ नीचे हैं।

भूमिका

दुनियाँ में मनुष्य द्वारा अनेक अद्भुत एवं आशार्यजनक वस्तुओं जा निर्माण हुआ है । मनुष्य अपनी प्रतिभा, परिश्रम और लगन से एक से एक महत्वपूर्ण और कौतूहलपूर्ण निर्माण करता आ रहा है। इस धरती पर निर्मित ऐसी वस्तुओं में ताजमहल का अत्यन्त महत्वपूर्ण स्थान है। इसे संसार के सात आश्चर्यजनक वस्तुओं में से एक माना जाता है। ताजमहल भारत की वस्तु-स्थापत्य कला का एक बेजोड़ नमूना है। यह आगरा नामक शहर में यमुना नदी के किनारे निर्मित हुआ है। इसका निर्माण आज से लगभग साढ़े तीन सौ वर्ष पहले हुआ था। इसका सौन्दर्य, कलात्मकता और भव्यता दर्शनीय है।

निर्माण की कथा

ताजमहल के निर्माण की कथा अत्यन्त आश्चर्यजनक है। मुगल सम्राट शाहजहाँ अपने वैभव और कला प्रेम के लिए बहुत प्रसिद्ध है। उसने अपने शासनकाल में अनेक महत्वपूर्ण ऐतिहासिक भवनों का निर्माण करवाया। कहा जाता है कि शाहजहाँ अपनी बेगम मुमताज महल को अत्यधिक प्रेम करता था। अचानक वह बीमार पड़ गई। उसके बचने का कोई उपाय न रहा। मृत्यु शैय्या पर पड़ी बेगम ने अपने शौहर शाहजहाँ से अपनी अन्तिम इच्छा प्रकट की कि उसकी समाधि पर ऐसा भवन निर्मित किया जाय जो अद्वितीय हो। 7 जून 1631 ई० को मुमताज की जीवन लीला समाप्त हो गई। बादशाह ने बेगम की अन्तिम इच्छा-पूर्ति का दृढ़ संकल्प लिया और बेगम की अभिलाषा को पूरा करने के लिए कटिबद्ध हो गया। 22 वर्षों के निरंतर कार्य, हजारों कारीगरों और मजदूरों के अथक परिश्रम एवं 9 करोड़ रुपये के व्यय से ताजमहल बनकर तैयार हो गया। निर्मित हो जाने के बाद ताजमहल को जो भी देखता दाँतों तले अंगुली दबा लेता।

स्थति और स्वरूप

ताजमहल आगरा में यमुना नदी के तट पर निर्मित और स्थित है। यह संगमरमर का एक भव्य चबूतरा है। पूरा ताजमहल देश-विदेश के पत्थरों से बनाया गया है। यह आगरा फोर्ट स्टेशन से करीब तीन किलोमीटर दूर पर है। यमुना के जलपर ताजमहल की छवि अद्भुत प्रतीत होती है। पूर्णिमा की चाँदनी में ताजमहल की शोभा और सौन्दर्य कई गुना बढ़ जाता है। ताजमहल को देखने के लिए देश-विदेश से लाखों पर्यटक प्रतिवर्ष आते रहते हैं जो इसके कलात्मक सौंदर्य और अद्भुत शिल्प को देखकर अभिभूत होते हैं।

ताजमहल का प्रवेशद्वार लाल पत्थरों से बना है जो बहुत भव्य एवं विशाल है। प्रवेशद्वार पर सफेद पत्थरों पर कुरान की आयतें खुदी हुई हैं। पास ही एक अजायबघर है जहाँ मुगल बादशाह की वेशभूषा, अस्त्र-शस्त्र तथा अन्य ऐतिहासिक सामग्री संग्रहीत है। ये परतुएँ दर्शनीय हैं। मुख्यद्वार से ताजमहल तक जाने का एक सुन्दर मार्ग है। इस मार्ग के दोनों तरफ पंक्तिबद्ध वृक्षों की कतारें हैं जो बहुत मनोरम दृष्टिगोचर होती हैं। मार्ग के अगल-बगल हरी घासों का लान है जो मखमली गलीचों जैसा प्रतीत होता है। मार्ग के अगल-बगल जगह-जगह फव्वारे बने हुए हैं। ताजमहल का उद्यान बहुत शोभाशाली है। ताजमहल अनेक स्थापत्य कलाओं का त्रित रूप है जो भारतीय सभ्यता और संस्कृति का प्रतिरूप प्रतीत होता है। भवन के चारों कोनों में चार ऊँची मीनारें हैं और उनके मध्य में ताजमहल का रंग-बिरंगा गुम्बद है। अनेक लुटेरों, आक्रमणकारियों ने गम्बट में जडित रत्नों को निकाल लिया है। अब उनके स्थान पर रंग-रंग के काँच जड़े गा। गम्बद के नीचे मुमताज और शाहजहाँ की बनबटी समाधियाँ हैं। उनकी वास्तविक समाधि तहखाने में है।

विशेषताएँ

प्रस्तावना :-

ताजमहल भारत की एक ऐतिहासिक धरोहर है। ताजमहल, भारत के उत्तरप्रदेश राज्य के आगरा जिले में स्थित है। ताजमहल का निर्माण शाहजहाँ ने करवाया था।

इसका निर्माण शाहजहाँ ने अपनी पत्नी मुमताज की याद में करवाया था। ताजमहल को प्रेम का प्रतीक माना जाता है। इस दुनिया में सात अजूबे है। जिनमें से सातवाँ अजूबा ताजमहल है। यह सफ़ेद संगमरमर से बना हुआ है।

इसमें काफी सुन्दर कलाकृतियाँ बनी हुई है। यह भारत में पर्यटन की दृष्टि से भी काफी महत्वपूर्ण है। दुनियाभर से प्रतिवर्ष हजारों लोग ताजमहल की सुंदरता को देखने के लिए यहाँ पर आते है।

ताजमहल की ऐतिहासिक कहानी :-

ताजमहल का निर्माण शाहजहाँ ने अपनी बेगम मुमताज की मृत्यु के बाद उनकी याद में बनवाया था। शाहजहाँ एक मुगल राजा थे। वैसे तो शाहजहाँ की कईं पत्नियाँ थी, लेकिन वह अपनी तीसरी पत्नी से काफी अधिक प्रेम करते थे।

लेकिन अपने बच्चे को जन्म देते समय उनकी मृत्यु हो गयी। मुमताज की कुल 14 संतानें थी। उनकी मृत्यु से शाहजहाँ काफी दुखी हो गए। इसलिए, शाहजहाँ ने मुमताज की याद में ताजमहल बनाया। मुमताज की कब्र ताजमहल के नीचे बनी हुई है।

शाहजहाँ ने अपने किले के ठीक सामने ही ताजमहल का निर्माण करवाया, ताकि वह उसे हर समय देख सके। ताजमहल को शाहजहाँ और मुमताज के प्रेम का प्रतीक माना जाता है।

ताजमहल का निर्माण :-

ताजमहल का निर्माण शाहजहाँ ने 17वीं शताब्दी में किया था। शाहजहाँ ने सन 1631 में ताजमहल को बनाने की घोषणा की। जबकि, सन 1632 में इसके निर्माण का काम शुरू किया गया और इसे तैयार होने में कुल 22 वर्षों का समय लगा।

इसका निर्माण यमुना नदी के किनारे किया गया था। इसका निर्माण सफ़ेद संगमरमर के पत्थरों से किया गया है। यह सफ़ेद संगमरमर के पत्थर राजस्थान राज्य से मंगवाए गए थे। ताजमहल को बनाने के लिए कम से कम 20000 मजदूरों ने काम किया।

ताजमहल की बनावट का आधार मुग़ल भवन और दिल्ली की जामा मस्जिद के भवन की तरह रखा गया है। इसके निर्माण के लिए सफ़ेद संगमरमर का प्रयोग किया गया है।

संगमरमर के पत्थर पर विभिन्न प्रकार की सुंदर नक्काशियां की गई है और हीरे-जवाहरातों से सजाकर दीवारें बनाई गई है। ताजमहल कुल 42 एकड़ क्षेत्र में फैला हुआ है।

ताजमहल के चारों तरफ चारमीनारें है। यें मीनारें बाहर की तरफ झुकी हुई है। लेकिन, इन्हें दूर से देखने पर यह सीधी दिखाई देती है। इनके मध्य में मुख्य इमारत है, जो कुल 23 फुट के चबूतरे पर बनी हुई है। इसकी छत एक गुम्बद की आकृति की बनाई गयी है।

ताजमहल का परिसर कईं इमारतों से मिलकर बना हुआ है। इन इमारतों के प्रवेश द्वार पर कुरान के शिलालेख है। ताजमहल के मुख्य कमरे में बनावटी कब्रें है। इसके चारों तरफ संगमरमर की जाली बनी हुई है, जिन पर खूबसूरत नक्काशी की गई है।

यहाँ के मुख्य आकर्षण मुमताज महल का मकबरा, प्रवेश द्वार, अतिथि ग्रह, चार बाग, मीनारें, ताजमहल मस्जिद और छतरियां है।

दुनिया का सातवाँ अजूबा ताजमहल :-

ताजमहल अपनी खूबसूरती और कलाकृति के कारण पर्यटन के लिए काफी प्रसिद्ध है। ताजमहल की वास्तुकला दुनिया में सबसे ज्यादा नायाब है। सन 2000 से ही अजूबों की खोज होने लगी। सन 2007 में यूनेस्को द्वारा भारत के ताजमहल को विश्व धरोवर में शामिल किया गया।

ताजमहल सिर्फ भारत की ही नहीं बल्कि पूरी दुनिया की अद्वितीय विरासत है। यह मानवनिर्मित एक अद्भुत रचना है। यह शाहजहाँ और मुमताज के प्रेम का प्रतीक माना जाता है।

ताजमहल का निर्माण सफेद संगमरमर से किया गया है जो देखने में काफी सुंदर लगता है। इसमें जड़ने के लिए कीमती पत्थर बगदाद, पंजाब, मिस्र, रूस, गोलकुंडा, चीन, अफगानिस्तान, सीलोन, हिंद महासागर और फारस से आए थे। इसे 22000 हजार कारीगरों ने मिलकर बनाया था। ताजमहल की संरचना इस प्रकार है कि बीच में गुम्बद और चारों और मीनारें हैं जो पर्यटकों के आकर्षण का केंद्र है। यह स्मारक यमुना नदी के किनारे बनाया गया है ताकि इसके नीचे की लड़की को हमेशा नमी मिलती रहे। इसकी बनावट काफी सुंदर है जिसे बनाने में उस समय 20 करोड़ की लागत लगी थी।

ताजमहल की विशेषता (Speciality of Taj Mahal)

ताजमहल मुगल वंश के शासन काल की वास्तुकला को प्रदर्शित करता है। इस इमारत को बनाने में कई तरह के शैलियों का का उपयोग किया गया है। यह फारसी, तुर्क, भारतीय और इस्लामी वास्तुकलाओं का एक अद्भुत मेल है। यह 42 एकड़ में फैला है। इसके मुख्य गुंबद की ऊंचाई 240 फीट और चार मीनारों की ऊंचाई 130 फीट है

इसकी संरचना इतनी बेहतरीन है कि पर्यटक इसे देखने के लिए बड़ी बड़ी दूर दूर से आते हैं। पर्यटकों के बीच ताजमहल इतना प्रसिद्ध है कि सालाना देश विदेश से लगभग 30 से 40 लाख लोग इसका दीदार करने आते हैं।

एक बार जब मैं ताजमहल की यात्रा करने गया था तब मैंने देखा था कि ताजमहल की सुन्दरता उसके आसपास के कई सुंदर पेड़ पौधे एवं पशु पक्षियों से और भी बढ़ जाती है वहां पर हरियाली रहती हैं. दरअसल ताजमहल भारत ही नहीं बल्कि पूरी दुनिया मैं काफी प्रसिद्ध है. भारत ही नहीं बल्कि विदेशों के लोग भी वहां पर ताजमहल को देखने के लिए आये थे, इसकी सुंदरता हर किसी को वाकई में देखनी चाहिए।

ताजमहल में फब्बारे लगे हुए हैं यह सभी फब्बारे एक साथ ही पानी छोड़ते हैं. मुझे यह सब काफी आश्चर्यचकित लगा. मैं इसे काफी देर तक देखता रहा. इतना ही नहीं ताजमहल के चारों ओर मैंने देखा कि यह कई सारे गार्डन एवं ऐतिहासिक इमारतों से घिरा हुआ है जिससे इसकी सुंदरता भी ज्यादा बढ़ जाती है.

जब मैंने ताजमहल को देखा तो मुझे यह अजूबा सा लगा. यह गुंबदनुमा काफी सुन्दर था. ताजमहल का रंग समय के साथ बदलता जाता हैं. मैंने ताजमहल को दोपहर के समय सफ़ेद रंग का देखा था. ताजमहल की ईमारत एक लकड़ी पर बनाई गयी है यह मुझे काफी आश्चर्यजनक लगा.

ताजमहल बनने के पीछे बात कुछ ऐसी है की शाहजहां अपनी पत्नी से बहुत प्रेम करते थे जब शाहजहां की पत्नी की मृत्यु हो गई तब वह काफी उदास रहते थे. शाहजहां ने एक दिन यह निश्चित किया कि वह अपनी पत्नी की याद में ताजमहल का निर्माण कराएंगे।

शाहजहां ने ताजमहल का निर्माण कराने के लिए देश-विदेश से कई कारीगरों को बुलवाया और बहुत सारे इन कारीगरों में से उन्होंने कुछ विशिष्ट कारीगर ही चुने और फिर ताजमहल का निर्माण कराया गया। काफी लंबे समय के बाद ताजमहल का निर्माण हुआ और शाहजहां को खुशी हुई।

ताजमहल का निर्माण 1643 में हुआ था, लेकिन और भी कार्य होने के कारण यहां पर 10 साल तक काम लगा था। ताजमहल के निर्माण में 1653 में लगभग 32 मिलीयन रुपए लग चुके थे। आज उसकी कीमत 70 बिलियन रुपए तक है।

ताजमहल को 1983 में यूनेस्को विश्व धरोहर स्थल के रूप में नामांकित किया गया। यह एक मुगल वास्तुकला का शानदार उदाहरण है और आज यह इतिहास का प्रतीक माना जाता है। यह दुनिया भर के लोगों को अपनी और आकर्षित करता है, इसे 2000 में दुनिया के सात अजूबों में शामिल कर दिया गया था।

ताजमहल का निर्माण

ताजमहल को शाहजहां ने अपनी पत्नी मुमताज के याद में 1631 में बनवाया था। जिसकी उस वर्ष 17 जून को मृत्यु हो चुकी थी, जबकी उनकी 14 संताने थी। ताजमहल का निर्माण 1643 मे पूरा हुआ, परंतु 5 साल इसके आसपास की जगह को बनाने में लग गए। ताजमहल एक प्रेम कहानी का प्रतीक है।

ताजमहल के अंदर बनी कब्र पूरे परिसर को आकर्षित करती है। यहां पर बड़ी चौकोर आकार की संरचना बना रखी है, जो कि खड़ी है। यहां के आधार संरचना के साथ परिसर में बहुत सारे कमरे हैं।

यहां के हर एक कमरे को बहुत ही मेहराब से सजाया गया है। यहां पर दोनों ओर धनुषा कार बालकनी भी है। मुख्य कक्ष में मुमताज और शाहजहां की कब्र बनाई गई है।

ताजमहल की बाहर की सजावट

ताजमहल की बाहर के सजावट और मुगल वास्तुकला ने लोगों को आकर्षित किया है। यहां पर सजावटी पेंट, प्लास्टर, पत्थर की बनाई गई नक्काशियां हैं। यहां पर बहुत से इस्लामी निषेध के अनुसार सजावटी चीजों का उल्लेख किया गया है।

यहां पर मीनार गेटवे मस्जिद और कुछ हद तक कब्र की सतह का प्रयोग किया गया है। बलुआ पत्थर की इमारतों के गुंबद और वाल्डो को बनाया गया है। मकबरे के नीचे सफेद दीवार का डेड बना हुआ है, जिन्हें फूलों से, बेलों से और बहुत से चित्रकलाओ से सजाया गया है।

ताजमहल के अंदर की सजावट

ताज महल के अंदर का भाग बहुत ही पारंपरिक तरीके से सजाया गया है। यहां पर कीमती रचना, कीमती रत्न की गढ़ाई की गई है। यहां अंदर का कमरा 8 कोणों का है, जिसमें हर एक चेहरे से जा सकते हैं क्योंकि यहां पर हर एक पर दरवाजा बना रखा है।

हालांकि यहां पर दक्षिण की दिशा में उद्यान का सामना करने वाले दरवाजे बनाये गये है। यहां की अंदर की दीवारें 25 मीटर तक ऊंची है, अंदर एक गुंबद द्वारा सबसे ऊपर सूरज की आकृति बना रखी है। यहां की 8 पिश्ताक पर अंतरिक्ष को परिभाषित कर रखा है। दीवार की मध्य तक 2 पिशातक द्वारा ताज पहनाया गया है।

मुस्लिम परंपरा के अंतर्गत कब्र को विस्तार रूप से सजाया गया है। मुमताज महल की कब्र अंदर के कमरे के मध्य में बनाई गई है, जिसको आयताकार संगमरमर के डेढ़ मीटर चौड़े और 2 मीटर लंबे मकबरे से बनाया गया है।

दोनों को बहुत ही कीमती खतरों से सजाया गया है। मुमताज की पहचान और प्रशंसा के लिए यहां पर लेख लिखे गए हैं। शाहजहां की कब्र मुमताज की कब्र के दक्षिण की दिशा में बनायी गयी है। यह कमरा मुमताज की कब्र से बड़ा है परंतु बहुत ही अच्छी और सुंदर चीजों को दर्शाता है।

मुख्य आधार के चारों तरफ चारों कोनों पर बड़ी-बड़ी मीनारें देखने को मिल जाती है। यह मीनारें 40 मीटर ऊंची है, यह मीनारें ताजमहल को चार चांद लगाने के लिए बनाई गई है। यह मीनारें ताजमहल के समान ही बनाई गई है।

प्रत्येक मीनार में 22 छज्जे बने हुए हैं और इन्हें तीन अलग-अलग भागों में बांटा गया है। मीनार के ऊपर लास्ट वाले छज्जे पर एक छतरी भी बनी हुई है। इस छतरी का आकाश कमलाकार और एक कलश की तरह बना हुआ है। मीनार की खास बात यह है कि यह मीनारें बाहर की तरफ झुकी हुई है, जैसे कभी गिरने की स्थिति में हो।

चारबाग ताजमहल को घिरा हुआ है, यह 300 वर्ग किलोमीटर का एक भाग है। यह मुगल बाग कहलाता है, इस बाग में रास्ता थोड़ा ऊंचा उठा हुआ है। मुगल बाग के बीच में एक तालाब बना हुआ है जिसमें ताजमहल की परछाई दिखती है।

यह दृश्य ताजमहल की सुंदरता को बढ़ाता है और यहां पर बहुत से स्थानों पर पेड़ों को एक ही लाइन में लगाया गया है। मुख्य द्वार से मकबरे तक फवारे लगे हुए हैं। चारबाग आयताकार है और इसके केंद्र में मकबरा बना है। यमुना नदी भी इस बाग का हिस्सा है, इस नदी को स्वर्ग की नदी में गिना जाता है।

ताजमहल के चारों तरफ इमारतों का समूह बना हुआ है। दीवारें तीनों तरफ से लाल पत्थर की बनी हुई है और इनका मुंह नदी की तरफ खुला हुआ है। इन दीवारों के बाहर की तरफ मकबरा बना हुआ है, जिसके अंदर शाहजहां की और भी पत्नियों को दफनाया गया है। एक बड़ा मकबरा मुमताज की प्रिय दासी के लिए बनाया गया है।

यहां पर हिंदू मंदिरों की शैलियां भी बनी हुई है। जिसके बाद मे मस्जिदों की शैलियां भी अपनाई गई है। यहां पर दीवारों के बीच में गुंबद भी बनाए हैं। मुख्य द्वार पर स्मारक बना हुआ है, यह स्मारक संगमरमर और लाल बलुआ पत्थर से बनाया गया है।

यहां पर पश्चिमी इमारत की तरफ एक मस्जिद बनी हुई है। दोनों इमारतों के बीच में मस्जिद का एक मेहराब कम है। यहां पर 559 लोग नमाज पढ़ सकते हैं। यहां पर खासकर जहांनुमा मस्जिद या दिल्ली की जामा मस्जिद जितना एक बड़ा कक्ष बना हुआ है, जिस पर तीन गुंबद बने हुए हैं।

ताजमहल का इतिहास

ताजमहल के बनने के बाद ही शाहजहां को अपने पुत्र औरंगजेब द्वारा पद से हटा दिया गया था। शाहजहा को आगरा के किले में नजर बंद कर दिया गया था। शाहजहां की मृत्यु के बाद में शाहजहां को उनकी पत्नी के पास में ही दफना दिया गया था।

19वीं सदी के अंदर ताजमहल की हालत काफी खराब होने लगी। भारतीय स्वतंत्रता संग्राम के समय ताजमहल को अंग्रेजी सैनिकों और सरकारी अधिकारी द्वारा काफी कष्ट झेलना पड़ा। यहां पर लगी कीमती पत्थर और रत्न खुद खोदकर निकाल लिए गए।

यहां के आखरी कमरे में एक बड़ा दीपक बनाया गया है, जो कि काहिरा में स्थित एक मस्जिद की तरह दिखता है। ब्रिटिश सरकार ने यहां के बागों को ब्रिटिश शैली के अंदर बदल दिया और आज वही हमें देखने को मिलता है।

यहां के मकबरे पर सुरक्षा कवच बनाए गए है, जिससे जर्मन और बाद में जापानी हमले से बचाया जा सके। जब भारत और पाकिस्तान का युद्ध हुआ तब भी इसे युद्ध से बचाया गया।

पुरानी कथा के अनुसार शाहजहा चाहता था कि यमुना की उस तरफ एक काला ताजमहल बनाया जाए, जिसमें उनकी कब्र बनी हो। यह एक अनुमान था जो प्रथम यूरोपियन ताजमहल घूमने आए पर्यटक ने लिखा था।

उसने बताया था कि शाहजहां को अपदस्थ कर दिया था, इससे पहले कि वे काला ताजमहल बनाने की तैयारी करता। आज भी यहां पर काले संगमरमर की सिलाई पड़ी हुई है, यह यमुना नदी के दूसरी तरफ महताब बाग में है।

परंतु 1990 की खुदाई से पता चला कि यह सफेद संगमरमर थी जो कि धीरे धीरे काली पड़ गई। काले संगमरमर के बारे में अधिक कथाएं 2006 में बहुत से इतिहासकारों ने बतायी है। कहां जाता है कि शाहजहां ने उन कारीगरों को मरवा दिया जिन्होंने ताजमहल का निर्माण किया था।

परंतु उसका कोई अंश मिला नहीं था। यह भी माना जाता है कि ताजमहल को गिराने के लिए योजना भी बनाई गयी थी। देश में भले ही बहुत से स्थान घूमने के लिए हो परंतु ताजमहल उसके सुंदरता के कारण बहुत प्रसिद्ध है।

विश्व के सात आश्चर्यो में से एक है ताजमहल । शाहजहाँ और मुमताज महल के प्रेम का प्रतीक जो दो दिलों के प्रेम की कहानी कह रहा है । आगरे का ताजमहल आज सम्पूर्ण विश्व का ताज बन गया है । यह भारतीय और विदेशियों के आकर्षण का केन्द्र है ।

मुमताज महल मुगल काल की विख्यात महिलाओं में एक है । मुमताज महल ने 13 बच्चों को जन्म दिया, लेकिन 14वां बच्चा पैदा हुआ तो उसकी मृत्यु हो गई । उसकी मृत्यु से दु:खी शाहजहां ने उसकी याद में ताजमहल बनवाया ।

ताजमहल का निर्माण सन् 1631 ई॰ में उत्तर प्रदेश के प्रसिद्ध नगर आगरे में यमुना नदी के दाएं किनारे पर हुआ । सफेद संगमरमर राजपूताने की खानों से आया । इसे बनवाने में 20 वर्ष लगे और बीस हजार मजदूरों ने काम किया ।

ताजमहल आगरा फोर्ट से तीन किलोमीटर दूर है । इसके विशाल द्वार के दोनों ओर सफेद पत्थरों पर कुरानों की आयतें लिखी हुई हैं । इसके बाद एक छोटा सा संग्रहालय है जिसमें मुगल सम्राटों के अस्त्र-शस्त्र और चित्र सुरक्षित रखे हुए हैं । मुख्य भवन के दोनों तरफ सुन्दर वृक्षों की पंक्तियाँ और पानी के फव्वारे से सजे हुए जलकुण्ड हैं ।

ताजमहल के सफेद चबूतरों और चारों तरफ की दीवारों, 275 फुट ऊंचे विशाल गुम्बद और छोटे-छोटे अन्य गुम्बदों से इसकी शोभा द्विगुणित हो जाती है । ताजमहल के बड़े गुम्बद के नीचे इन दो प्रेमियों की कब्रें हैं, लेकिन ये वास्तविक नहीं समझी जातीं । वास्तविक समाधि नीचे तहखाने में है ।

समाधियों के बहुमूल्य पत्थरों पर सुन्दर नक्काशी की हुई है । चारों तरफ संगमरमर की सुन्दर जालियाँ है । समाधियाँ मोमबत्ती के प्रकाश की सहायता से दिखाई जाती हैं । सुगन्धित धूप बत्तियों से वातावरण को महकाया जाता है । मुमताज महल की समाधि पर आयतें लिखी हुई हैं लेकिन शाहजहाँ की समाधि पर नहीं ।

शरद् पूर्णिमा की चाँदनी रात में इस ताजमहल की शोभा अद्वितीय हो जाती है । यमुना के जल में इसका प्रतिबिम्ब देखने योग्य होता है । ताजमहल आज भी दर्शकों के आकर्षण का केन्द्र बना हुआ है । भारतीयों के साथ विदेशी पर्यटक भी इसे देखने के लिए आते हैं । सौन्दर्य की यह नन्हीं दुनियाँ, शाहजहाँ के प्रेम की अद्वितीय प्रतिमा है और अत्यधिक आश्चर्य की वस्तु है ।

ताजमहल एक बहुत खूबसूरत ऐतिहासिक इमारत है। जो कि मुगल बादशाह शाहाजाह ने अपनी पत्नी मुमताज महल की याद में उनकी मृत्यु के पश्चात बनवाया था। यह भारत का एक सुन्दर पर्यटन स्थलों में से एक है। यह आगरा में यमुना नदी के किनारे स्थित है। ताजमहल दुनिया के सात आश्चर्यों में से एक है। यह पूर्णता संगमरमर से बनाया हुआ है जिससे इसकी सुन्दरता दुगनी हो जाती है। दुनिया भर से लोग इसे देखने के लिए भारत आते है। रात के समय चॉद की रोशनी में इसकी सुन्दरता देखने योग्य है।

ताजमहल आगरा के किले के बिल्कुल पीछे बना हुआ है। शाहाजाह ने अपनी पत्नी की याद में एक कब्र बनाने का निर्णय लिया और उसने ताजमहल का निर्माण कराया। ताजमहल वर्ष 1631 ई0 में बनवाया गया था इसके चारो कोनो में मीनारे है व बीच में एक बहुत बडा गुम्बद्व है। इसे बीस हजार मजदूरों द्वारा लगभग 20 सालों में बनाया गया था। ताजमहल को यूनेस्को विश्व धरोहर सूची में भी स्थान प्राप्त है।

ताजमहल का इतिहास

कुछ रोज़ पहले अमेरिका से मेरे एक दोस्त भारत घूमने आए। वे उन सभी जगहों की सूची बनाकर लाए थे, जहाँ वे घूमना चाहते थे। सूची में पहला नाम था ताजमहल का। और हो भी क्यों न ? आखिर दुनिया-भर में ताजमहल भारत की सबसे बड़ी पहचान है। जब तक ताजमहल न देख लिया जाए, किसी भी देशी-विदेशी सैलानी का भारत भ्रमण पूरा नहीं होता। ताजमहल उत्तर प्रदेश के आगरा शहर में यमुना नदी के किनारे बना हुआ है। इसलिए हम सबने मिलकर आगरा जाने की योजना बनाई।

दिल्ली से ट्रेन से वहाँ तक पहुँचने में हमें बस ढाई घंटा लगा। न केवल ताजमहल देखकर हमें बहुत मज़ा आया, बल्कि गाइड भैया ने हमें बहुत-सी रोचक बातें भी बताईं। उन्होंने हमें बताया कि इसे पाँचवें मुगल बादशाह शाहजहाँ ने अपनी बेगम मुमताज महल की याद में 1631 में बनवाया था। जब शाहजहाँ एक सैनिक अभियान के सिलसिले में बुरहानपुर गए, तब मुमताज भी उनके साथ गईं। वहाँ अपनी 14वीं संतान को जन्म देते समय मुमताज की मृत्यु हो गई। कहते हैं कि इस बात से सम्राट् को बहुत दुःख पहुँचा। जब मुमताज जिंदा थीं, तब उन्होंने शाहजहाँ से चार वचन लिए थे, जिनमें से एक ताजमहल बनवाकर उनको वहाँ दफनाना भी था। बादशाह ने अपना वचन निभाया।

यह दुनिया का सबसे खूबसूरत मकबरा है, जिसके प्रधान वास्तुशास्त्री ईरान के उस्ताद इसा थे। कुछ इतिहासकारों का मानना है कि इसे बनाने में चौदह साल लगे, तो कुछ कहते हैं कि यह बाईस साल में बनकर तैयार हुआ। यह मूल रूप से सफेद संगमरमर से बना है, जिसमें अट्ठाईस तरह के बहुमूल्य पत्थर और रत्न जड़े हैं। इसे बनाने का सामान पूरे भारत और एशिया से जुटाया गया था। बीस हजार मजदूरों ने 18 से 22 साल तक लगातार मेहनत कर वास्तुकला का यह बेजोड़ नमूना तैयार किया। ताजमहल सुबह गुलाबी, शाम को सफेद जबकि चाँदनी रात में सुनहरा दिखाई देता है। शाहजहाँ की मृत्यु के बाद उन्हें भी ताजमहल में दफना दिया गया। ताज को बेगम बादशाह के अमर प्रेम की निशानी के रूप में याद किया जाता है। यह दुनिया के सात अजूबों में से एक है।

किसी देश का शिल्प-सौंदर्य उसकी सभ्यता और संस्कृति के उत्कर्ष का परिचय देता है। भारत शिल्प-सौंदर्य की दृष्टि से एक अद्भुत देश है। इस देश के स्मारकों, स्तूपों, खंडहरों आदि में उच्चकोटि की कला के दर्शन होते हैं।

तमिलनाडु में मीनाक्षी मंदिर, राजस्थान में दिलवाड़ा जैन मंदिर, अमृतसर का स्वर्ण मंदिर, महाराष्ट्र में अजंता और ऐलोरा की गुफ़ाएँ, उड़ीसा में पुरी और कोणार्क के मंदिर हमारी शिल्पकला की उत्कृष्टता, भव्यता और विविधता के उदाहरण हैं। भारत ने वास्तुकला, चित्रकला आदि ललित कलाओं के क्षेत्र में जो दक्षता प्राप्त की है, ये स्मारक उसी की गौरव गाथा सुनाते हैं। इन स्मारकों में आगरा के ताजमहल का विशेष स्थान है। इसकी पच्चीकारी और निर्माणकला को जो भी देखता है, वह चकित रह जाता है। श्वेत संगमरमर से बने इस स्मारक की उज्ज्वल आभा देखते ही बनती है। प्रतिवर्ष आने वाले हज़ारों पर्यटक ताजमहल के अवितीय सौंदर्य की सराहना करते नहीं थकते।

ताजमहल के अद्भुत और अनुपम सौंदर्य के कारण इसकी गणना संसार की सर्वश्रेष्ठ इमारतों में की जाती है। इसे देखकर ऐसा लगता है मानो वास्तुकला ने ताजमहल में अपनी चरम सीमा को पा लिया है।

ताजमहल का निर्माण मुगल बादशाह शाहजहाँ ने अपनी बेगम की स्मृति में करवाया था। 1632 ई। में ताजमहल का निर्माण कार्य शुरू हुआ। लगभग बीस हज़ार देशी-विदेशी कारीगरों ने इसे सत्रह वर्ष में बनाकर पूरा किया था। शाहजहाँ ने इसके लिए श्वेत संगमरमर मकराना (राजस्थान) से, लाल पत्थर जयपुर से मँगवाए थे।

ताजमहल के लिए कारीगरों ने आगरा के पास यमुना नदी के किनारे एक खुला और विस्तृत स्थान चुना। ताज का निर्माण एक आयताकार समतल भूमि-खंड पर किया गया है। उत्तर-दिशा में यमुना प्रवाहित है और तीन ओर बगीचे हैं। बगीचों को इस ढंग से सँवारा गया है कि पूरा दृश्य बहुत मनमोहक बन गया है।

ताज के गुंबद और मीनारें दूर से ही दिखाई देती हैं। आगरा के किले में एक ऐसा शीशा लगा हुआ है, जिसमें ताजमहल की पूरी परछाईं देखी जा सकती है। कहते हैं कि आगरा के किले में कैद शाहजहाँ के कहने पर औरंगज़ेब ने यह शीशा लगवाया था, ताकि शाहजहाँ अपनी प्रिय पत्नी का स्मारक हर समय देख सके। मृत्यु के पश्चात् शाहजहाँ को भी उसकी इच्छानुसार यहीं दफ़नाया गया था।

ताजमहल के पास आने पर पहले लाल पत्थर के परकोटे दिखाई देते हैं। लाल पत्थर का विशाल फाटक पार करते ही वाटिका का सौंदर्य दर्शकों को आकृष्ट करने लगता है।

ताजमहल एक ऊँचे भव्य चबूतरे पर बना है। पूरा चबूतरा सफ़ेद संगमरमर का है और इसी के ऊपर दूध-सी सफ़ेद मीनारें हैं। शाहजहाँ और बेगम मुमताज़ का मकबरा सादगी भरे सौंदर्य का अनूठा नमूना है। ऊँचे गुंबद के नीचे मुमताज़ और शाहजहाँ चिरनिद्रा में सोए हुए हैं। इस गुंबद की दीवारों पर अद्भुत पच्चीकारी की गई है। संगमरमर के चार दालान अपनी भव्यता में बेजोड़ हैं। इन दालानों में बहुमूल्य पत्थरों को तराश कर बेल बूटे बनाए गए हैं। । जितनी बार ताजमहल को देखा जाए उतनी बार वह नया-सा प्रतीत होता है। इसे एक बार देखकर मन तृप्त नहीं होता। देखने की इच्छा बार-बार मन में उठती है। चाँदनी रात में तो ताज का धवल सौंदर्य देखते ही बनता है। शरद पूर्णिमा के दिन इसे देखने के लिए दर्शकों की भारी भीड़ उमड़ पड़ती है।

ताजमहल हमारी अमूल्य धरोहर है। इसकी सुंदरता की रक्षा करना हमारा पुनीत कर्तव्य है।

ताजमहल – एक ऐतिहासिक धरोहर

प्रेम की अमर कृति, ताजमहल एक विश्व प्रसिद्ध स्मारक है। प्रेम की श्रेष्ठता और उच्चता को सदैव संसार के समक्ष रखते रहने वाला एक महान स्मारक है ताजमहल। सचमुच इसमें प्रेम की निगूढतम भावनाएं समाई हुई हैं। प्रेम की चिर-कालीनता और शाश्वतता को मूर्त करने वाला यह विश्व का एकमात्र स्मारक है। आज विश्व का कोई भी प्रेमी युगल ऐसा नहीं होगा, जो इसके दर्शन करके अपने प्रेम को भी इस अमर प्रेम की कृति में शामिल कर देने का स्वप्न न देखता हो। हर प्रेमी-युगल अपने जीवन में एक ऐसा ही ताजमहल अपने प्रेमी के लिए बनाना चाहता है, पर कोई कर नहीं पाता। किन्तु इससे उसमें किसी प्रकार का क्षोभ पैदा नहीं होता अपितु वह प्रेम की इस उदात्त-कृति को अपने ही प्रेम का प्रतीक मानता है और इस संसार में अपने प्रेम की सार्थकता को और भी गहराई से महसूस करता है। ‘ताजमहल प्रेमी-हृदय जनों का कण्ठहार है’ इससे इंकार नहीं किया जा सकता।

मेरे एक परम-मित्र अपनी पत्नी के साथ ताजमहल देखकर कल शाम ही वापस लौटे हैं। वह आज सुबह-सुबह ही मेरे घर आ पहुँचे। उनका चेहरा ओजशील दिखलायी पड़ रहा था। ऐसा प्रतीत हो रहा था कि वह भावनाओं के एक विकराल झंझावात को अपने में संजोए उसे तन्मय होकर अभिव्यक्त कर देना चाहते थे। कह देना चाहते हैं किसी को अपनी सारी बातें मैं उनकी इस भावना को अब तक समझ चुका था। अन्दर वाले कक्ष में बैठाकर पहले उनकी कुशल-क्षेम पूँछी। उसके बाद मैंने उससे उसकी ताज यात्रा के बारे में पूछा। अब तो उसका भावातिरेक चरम सीमा तक जा पहुंचा था और इस भावातिरेक की स्थिति में वह निरन्तर यह सोच-विचार कर रहे थे कि वह बात को कहाँ से शुरू करें। उनकी इस स्थिति का कारण मैं आज सारा दिन सोचता रहा। हालांकि, मैं कारण जानता भी हूँ। वह कारण है ‘ताज के अत्यंत पावन हृदयग्राही सौन्दर्य द्वारा मेरे मित्र के सम्पूर्ण भावजगत को आवृत कर लेना।’ इतिहास इस बात का गवाह रहा है कि जिस किसी ने भी कभी इस प्रभावशाली स्मारक को देखा है। वह अपने जीवन में फिर कभी इसे भूल नहीं सका। विश्व के नामी-गिरामी लोग यदा-कदा इसके दर्शन की लालसा में बंधे भारत चले आते हैं। कोई दिन ऐसा नहीं जाता जब विश्व के कोने-कोने से इसे देखने लोग न पहुंचते हों।

ताज सफेद संगमरमर से बनी एक अभूतपूर्व इमारत है। शाहजहाँ इसे अपने राज्यकाल में अपनी सर्वाधिक एवं एकमात्र प्रिय बेगम मुमताज की मधुर स्मृति में बनवाया था। यह स्मारक एक कब्रगाह होते हुए भी सारे समाज के लिए प्रेम का प्रतीक बना हुआ है और यह प्रेम का महनीय प्रतीक सैंकड़ो वर्षों से, यमुना के किनारे जरा मरण से सर्वदा मुक्त आज भी खड़ा हुआ है। यह पूरी तरह एक सफेद संगमरमर से निर्मित है। इसके चारों कोने पर गगनचुम्बी मीनारें विद्यमान हैं। जो न केवल इसकी चार-भुजाओं सी प्रतीत होती हैं, अपितु ताज के सौन्दर्य में चार गुनी वृद्धि भी करती हैं। इन मीनारों में अन्दर की तरफ सीढ़ियाँ है जिनसे चढ़कर लोग उनके उपर पहुंच जाते हैं। वहां से वह पूरा शहर, जिसके हृदय में ताजमहल बसा हुआ है, अप्रतिम सौंदर्य से मंडित दिखलायी पड़ने लगता है। हालाँकि आजकल इन मीनारों में प्रवेश प्रतिबन्धित कर दिया गया है, क्योंकि कुछ एक जीवन से हारे हुए लोग यहां से कूद कर अपनी जान दे चुके हैं। सावधानी वश आज-कल इन्हें बन्द ही रखा जाता है।

आप जब कभी ताज-भ्रमण को जाएँगे तो सर्वप्रथम आप कुछेक छोटी-छोटी गलियों से निकल कर ताज के मुख्य परिसर में प्रवेश करेंगे और फिर कुछ दूरी तय करके दाहिनी ओर आपको एक विशाल दरवाजा दिखलायी पड़ेगा, जो लाल पत्थर से बना हुआ है। जैसे ही आप उस दरवाजे पर पहुचेंगे आपको धवल कांति से युक्त एक सफेद इमारत दिखाई देगी यही इमारत है ताजमहल। जिसके बारे में आपको किसी से पूछने की जरूरत नहीं पड़ेगी। वह स्वयं आपको अपने प्रभाव में ले लेगा। आप उसके परम सौंदर्य में कुछ इस प्रकार डूबेंगे कि आप को अपना किंचित भी ध्यान नहीं रहेगा। हमें यह पूरा विश्वास है कि आप जल्द ही विश्व के इस आठवें आश्चर्य को देखने अवश्य जाएँगें।

Taj Mahal Essay

The Taj Mahal is one of the most beautiful and well-known historical sites. It is situated in the Uttar Pradesh city of Agra. It is in a spacious area with a river on the backside. It appears to be a sight from nature. It seems to be heaven on earth. It is constructed from white marble. Every year, it draws tourists from all around the world. The Taj Mahal represents the enduring love of Shah Jahan, who erected it in honour of his wife, Mumtaz Mahal. The monument is one of the Seven Wonders of the World. It serves as the famous Empress Mumtaz Mahal's mausoleum.

About Taj Mahal

The world-famous Taj Mahal was created because of the vision of the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. After she passed away, he built this monument in honour of his devoted wife, Mumtaz Mahal.

In honour of his beloved wife, Shah Jahan hired the best artisans worldwide to build it. He was going to make something that had never been done before. The emperor desired to give his beloved wife one last present. People still praise Shah Jahan for his fantastic deed. It encourages you to value and cherish love in new ways. We may also see how the bodies of the immortal lovers are interred beneath the tomb. Mumtaz Mahal and Shah Jahan were buried close to one another and remained there after death for a very long time.

My Experience with Taj Mahal

On the day of the full moon in October of this year, I went to the Taj Mahal with a few of my schoolmates. The silvery moonlight glistening everywhere and glamorising the Taj brings out the best in its splendour. Greenery and flowerbeds nicely adorn the area around it. I was ecstatic to visit the Taj. Hundreds of men, women, and kids gathered to admire the Taj's magnificence. There were sizable groups of foreigners arriving. We also clicked many pictures in front of the monument.

A Symbol of Love

The Taj Mahal was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1983 and is regarded as one of the most exquisite structural compositions in the entire world. After Mumtaz Mahal passed away, Shah Jahan erected the Taj Mahal in her honour and as a memorial. According to legend, Shah Jahan gave his wife the Taj Mahal as a gift. It is regarded as a representation of love and the tie between a husband and wife. It's interesting to note that the Taj Mahal is thought to represent Mumtaz's various emotions because it appears pinkish in the morning, milky white in the evening, and golden when the moon is out.

When Shah Jahan's wife was alive, he made her four vows. These commitments include constructing the Taj, getting remarried, going to the grave on each anniversary of his passing, and being kind to his kids. After two years, he decided to erect a memorial in her honour. Therefore, he decided to create a unique monument that had never been built before. With the help of 20,000 workers, he made the Taj Mahal—turning his vision into reality. The Taj Mahal's construction took 22 years to complete. Additionally, it was said that Shah Jahan had all 20,000 labourers' hands amputated to prevent them from ever again constructing monuments of this nature.

My Visit to Taj Mahal

A trip to a historical site is always a thrilling adventure. It is an exciting journey. During my recent summer vacation, when I visited Agra, I had one such encounter. I took the train to get to Agra with my family. After a short period of recovery, we started our sight seeing tour. Agra has a rich history. In India, numerous stunning historical sites are worth visiting. The most spectacular of all, though, is the Taj Mahal in Agra. First, we went to the Taj Mahal. The Mughal emperor Shah Jahan erected the Taj Mahal 350 years ago as a tribute to his beloved queen Mumtaj. It is situated along the Yamuna River's bank.

On all sides, it appeared white and identical. Green glass tufts and hot Cyprus tree shoots enhanced its majestic majesty. We descended the stairs and under the dome, in a dim room, we discovered the king and queen's graves. The side walls were ornamented with bits of glass in various colours and Quranic couplets. Each of the four minarets at the major buildings served as a watchman.

We finished our tour of the Taj Mahal at about noon and left the area. My journey to the Taj Mahal was a lot of fun. It was a unique event that, in addition to being intellectually stimulating, provided us with a taste of our nation's great heritage.

Taj Mahal's beauty and tradition are something that every Indian is proud of. This structure is highly known all around the world. The Taj Mahal receives between 2 and 4 million visitors annually. The monument is well-known worldwide due to its beauty and rich history, which attract the most tourists.

ताजमहल पर निबंध (250 शब्द).

ताजमहल भारत का सबसे प्राचीन स्मारक है, यह प्राचीन स्मारक होने के साथ-साथ बहुत ही लोकप्रिय और ऐतिहासिक स्मारक भी है। ताजमहल का नाम सुनते ही हम सभी लोगों को शाहजहां और मुमताज की याद आ जाती हैं। शाहजहां ने इस स्मारक को मुमताज की याद में बनवाया था। ताजमहल को प्रेम की निशानी भी कहा जाता है।

भारत में ताजमहल बहुत ही ज्यादा सुंदर और बहुत ही ज्यादा आकर्षक स्थान माना जाता है। इतना ही नहीं ताजमहल को भारत का संस्कृति की स्मारक कहने के साथ साथ भारतीय और विदेशियों के आकर्षक का केंद्र भी कहा जाता है।

ताजमहल को न केवल भारत में बल्कि संपूर्ण विश्व में प्रेम की निशानी के रूप में जाना जाता है। ताजमहल को शाहजहां ने अपनी पत्नी मुमताज के लिए इस महल का निर्माण करवाया था। इस महल का निर्माण इन्होंने मुमताज की याद में वर्षों से 1631 ईसवी में बनवाया था। शाहजहां ने ताजमहल को भारत के उत्तर प्रदेश में स्थित आगरा में यमुना नदी के किनारे पर बनाया है। यमुना नदी आगरा के किले से लगभग 2.5 किलोमीटर की दूरी पर है, इतना ही नहीं ताजमहल को सिर्फ और सिर्फ सफेद संगमरमर का प्रयोग करके बनाया गया है।

ताजमहल को बनाने में केवल सफेद रंग के संगमरमर से बनाया ही नहीं गया है, बल्कि इसके ढांचे को इतने अच्छे से बनाया गया है, कि यह दुनिया के सभी व्यक्तियों को अपनी तरफ आकर्षित कर देता है और सबके मन में ताजमहल को एक ना एक बार देखने की इच्छा जरूर होती है।

ताजमहल विश्व के सबसे महान और आकर्षक स्मारकों में से एक महान आ जाता है, इतना ही नहीं ताजमहल को दुनिया के सात अजूबों में से एक माना गया था है। ताजमहल को एक बहुत ही बड़े क्षेत्र में बनाया गया है, ताज महल के सामने हरियाली और पीछे की ओर नदी का किनारा और एक झील है।

ताजमहल भारत के सबसे सुंदर इमारतों में से एक है। ताजमहल को दुनिया के सबसे महान और आकर्षक स्मारकों में से एक होने का दर्जा दिया गया है, इतना ही नहीं ताजमहल को विश्व के सात अजूबों में शामिल भी किया जा चुका है। ताजमहल का निर्माण 17 वीं शताब्दी में मुगल बादशाह शाहजहां के द्वारा करवाया गया था। शाहजहां ने ताजमहल का निर्माण अपनी पत्नी मुमताज के याद में करवाया था।

मुमताज शाहजहां की तीसरी पत्नी थी और शाहजहां मुमताज से बहुत ही ज्यादा प्यार करते थे। मुमताज की मृत्यु हो जाने के बाद शाहजहां बहुत ही ज्यादा दुख में रहने लगे, अतः बाद में इन्होंने अपने दुख को बांटने के लिए इन्होंने मुमताज की याद में ताजमहल का निर्माण करवा दिया। वर्तमान समय में ऐसा भी कहा जाता है, कि जिस स्थान पर ताजमहल बना है, उस स्थान पर शाहजहां को मुमताज की कमी महसूस होती थी, अतः इसीलिए उन्होंने यहां पर ताज महल बनवा दिया।

ताजमहल बनवाने के पीछे का इतिहास

शाहजहां ने ताजमहल का निर्माण मुमताज की याद में करवाया था। ताजमहल का निर्माण इन्होंने 17वीं शताब्दी में करवाया था। शाहजहां एक मुगल सम्राट थे और मुमताज इनकी तीसरी पत्नी। मुगल सम्राट शाहजहां अपनी तीसरी पत्नी मुमताज से काफी ज्यादा प्यार करते थे, अतः बाद में उनकी मृत्यु हो जाने के बाद मुगल सम्राट शाहजहां बहुत ही ज्यादा दुखी रहने लगे हैं, अतः इन्होंने इनकी याद में ताज महल बनवा दिया।

इन्होंने ताजमहल बनवाने में अपने जीवन का बहुत सा कीमती समय खर्च किया, इतना ही नहीं ताजमहल बनवाने में इन्होंने अपने राजकोष का काफी सारा धन खर्च कर दिया। लोगों के द्वारा ऐसा भी कहा जाता है, कि शाहजहां ने ताजमहल बनाने वाले मजदूरों के हाथ काट दिए थे, क्योंकि वह नहीं चाहते थे, कि दुनिया में ताजमहल के ही जैसी कोई अन्य इमारत बने।

मुगल सम्राट शाहजहां ने अपनी पत्नी मुमताज की याद में बनवाए गए ताजमहल को प्रतिदिन आगरा के किले से देखा करते हैं और यह उस महल में अपनी पत्नी को महसूस करते हैं। शाहजहां एक मुगलकालीन के योद्धा थे अतः यह ताजमहल मुगलकालीन स्थापित्व की एक इमारत है। शाहजहां ने इस इमारत को भारतीय इस्लामिक पारसी इत्यादि कलाओं के मिश्रण के द्वारा बनवाया है।

यह माना जाता है, कि शाहजहां स्वयं के लिए ताजमहल के ही आकार की एक काले रंग की कब्र का निर्माण करवाना चाहते थे, हालांकि शाहजहां की का यह विचार पूरा नहीं हो सका उनकी मृत्यु हो गई। मृत्यु के समय इन्होंने ऐसा कहा था, कि मेरी कब्र को मुमताज के बगल में ही दफन करना, अतः मृत्यु के बाद उनकी कब्र को वहीं पर दफन कर दिया गया।

क्यों शामिल किया है, ताजमहल को सात अजूबों में

जैसा कि हम सभी लोग जानते हैं, भारत में बहुत से इतिहासिक स्मारक मौजूद है, परंतु ताजमहल उन सभी स्मारक में से अद्वितीय माना जाता है। ताजमहल बहुत ही आश्चर्यजनक कलाओं से भरपूर है। ताजमहल को भारत का सबसे आकर्षक इमारत भी कहा जाता है।

इतना ही नहीं ताजमहल और आगरा किले को यूनेस्को द्वारा विश्व की विरासत के रूप में चिन्हित कर दिया गया है। अतः इन सभी के बाद वर्ष 2007 में ताजमहल को दुनिया के सात अजूबों में शामिल कर दिया गया। 

ताजमहल की संरचना

ताजमहल के निर्माण की कला का आधार अनेकों प्रकार के भवनों की कला से लिया गया है, जैसे परसिया राजवंश की कला, हुमायूं का मकबरा, मुगल भवन गुर ए अमीर, इतमादुत दौलाह का मकबरा और जामा मस्जिद इत्यादि है। मुगल शासन काल के दौरान बनाए जाने वाले सभी इमारतों को लाल रंग के पत्थरों से बनाया जाता था, परंतु शाहजहां ने इसे सबसे अलग बनाने के लिए सफेद पत्थरों का उपयोग किया जो कि अपने आप में ही अद्वितीय है।

ताजमहल को सफेद संगमरमर से बनाया तो गया ही है, साथ ही इसमें अनेकों प्रकार के नक्काशी और हीरे जड़कर इसे ताजमहल की दीवारों पर सजाया गया है, परंतु बाद में इसे चुरा भी लिया गया। ताजमहल का निर्माण करवाने में लगभग 28 प्रकार की पत्थरों का उपयोग किया गया था। ताजमहल के निर्माण के लिए दुनिया भर से कारीगरों को चुन चुन कर भारत लाया गया था और निर्माण के बाद उन कारीगरों के हाथ काट दिए गए, ऐसा लोगों का कहना है।

ताजमहल को सभी लोगों के द्वारा देश की धरोहर कहा जाता है। इतना ही नहीं ताजमहल को प्रेम की एक अद्वितीय निशानी भी कही जाती है। ताजमहल को बनवाने का विचार तब आया जब शाहजहां की पत्नी मुमताज की मृत्यु हो गई अतः ताजमहल का निर्माण शाहजहां ने अपनी पत्नी मुमताज की याद में करवाया।

However, due to ill health and being under house arrest by his own son and successor to the throne, Aurangzeb, barred him from continue to keep the last promise.

The Taj rises on a high red sandstone base topped by a huge white marble terrace on which rests the famous dome flanked by four tapering minarets. Within the dome lies the jewel-inlaid cenotaph of the queen. So exquisite is the workmanship that the Taj has been described as "having been designed by giants and finished by jewellers". The only asymmetrical object in the Taj is the casket of the emperor which was built beside the queen’s as an afterthought.

It goes back to Jean-Baptiste Tavernier who, when at Agra in 1665 AD, reported that 'Shahjahan began to built his own tomb on the other side of the river, but the war with his sons interrupted his plan, and Aurangzeb, who reigns at present, is not disposed to complete it. Shah Jahan was put under house arrest by his own son and successor by force, Aurangzeb. The latter did not agree with his father on most issues and was particularly opposed to him building a black Taj as his own mausoleum.

Upon Shah Jahan's death, Aurangzeb made the body of the Emperor, who got the body of his beloved Mumtaz in a golden casket from Burhanpur to Agra, carried in a boat by only two men and buried him in the Taj, next to his wife in probably the simplest manner.

Shah Jahan, the Emperor, who fulfilled the wishes of his beloved, could not find fulfilment of his own wish to build a Black Taj to express his mourning for the beloved Queen Mumtaz Mahal even after his death. That was the serenity in the purity of love.
