The Harry Potter series has been a huge success and has spawned many movies, merchandise and theme parks. It is one of the most popular book series of all time and has achieved critical and commercial success.

Overall, I think the Deathly Hallows is an excellent book and it is definitely my favourite in the Harry Potter series. I would highly recommend it to any Potterhead or anyone who loves a good story.

My Favorite Book Harry Potter Because:

Harry Potter is a magical world filled with adventure, friendship, and lessons that we can all relate to. From the very first chapter of “The Philosopher’s Stone” to the final pages of “The Deathly Hallows,” readers are transported into a world where anything is possible.

One of the main reasons why Harry Potter is my favorite book is because it explores themes such as love, loyalty, and the power of good versus evil. Throughout the series, we see characters face challenges that test their courage and morality. We witness Harry’s unwavering loyalty to his friends, Hermione’s determination to always do what is right, and Ron’s undying love for his family.

But it’s not just about the themes – it’s also about the characters. J.K. Rowling has created a diverse cast of characters who are flawed, relatable, and ultimately, lovable. From the brave trio of Harry, Ron, and Hermione to complex and dynamic characters like Severus Snape and Draco Malfoy, every character brings something unique to the story.

Moreover, Harry Potter is more than just a book series – it’s a cultural phenomenon that has captivated millions of readers worldwide. It’s not just about the books, but also the movies, theme parks, merchandise, and fan communities that have sprung up around the series. This goes to show the impact and influence that Harry Potter has had on popular culture.

Finally, I love Harry Potter because it holds a special place in my heart. As a child, I grew up reading and re-reading the books countless times, eagerly anticipating each new release. The story of an ordinary boy who discovers he is destined for greatness resonated with me and inspired me to embrace my own uniqueness and potential.

My Favorite Character Harry Potter Essay:

Harry Potter, the boy who lived. A name that resonates with millions of readers and moviegoers around the world. He is a beloved character who has captured our hearts and imaginations for over two decades. Harry’s journey from being an orphaned baby to becoming one of the most powerful wizards in the wizarding world has been nothing short of magical.

Growing up, I was a huge fan of the Harry Potter books. I remember eagerly waiting for each new release and devouring them in one sitting. The first book, “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone,” introduced us to Harry and his world of magic, friendship, and adventure. From then on, I was hooked.

One of the reasons why Harry is my favorite character is because he is relatable. Despite being a wizard, he goes through many struggles and challenges that we all face in our own lives. He deals with loss, loneliness, and self-doubt, but never gives up. Harry’s determination and bravery inspire us to face our own battles with courage.

Another aspect of Harry’s character that I admire is his loyalty towards his friends. From Ron and Hermione to Neville and Luna, Harry always stands by his friends and supports them no matter what. He teaches us the importance of friendship and shows that true friends are always there for each other, through thick and thin.

As the series progresses, we see Harry grow into a strong and responsible leader. He takes on the weight of the wizarding world on his shoulders and fights against the dark forces to protect his loved ones. Despite the immense pressure, Harry remains humble and never lets fame get to his head.

But beyond all the action and magic, what I love most about Harry is his big heart. He may have a tough exterior, but he has a soft spot for those in need. From freeing Dobby to standing up for the rights of house-elves, Harry shows us that true strength lies in kindness and compassion.

In conclusion, Harry Potter is not just a fictional character to me, but a symbol of courage, friendship, and love. He has taught me valuable lessons about life and continues to inspire me every day. I will forever be grateful to J.K. Rowling for creating such a timeless and unforgettable character.

Essay on Favorite Book Harry Potter:

“Hey there, book lovers! I’m sure many of you have a favorite book that you keep going back to, no matter how many times you’ve read it. And for me, that book is none other than the magical world of Harry Potter.

If you haven’t read the series yet, where have you been? Just kidding. But seriously, if you haven’t delved into the world of Hogwarts, wizards and magical creatures, you’re seriously missing out.

I remember being in middle school when I first started reading Harry Potter. And from the moment I picked up the first book, I was immediately hooked. The story was unlike anything I had ever read before – it had adventure, friendship, magic and so much more.

One of the things that drew me to the series was its relatability. Sure, I may not be a wizard or have magical powers, but I could see myself in Harry and his friends. They were just regular teenagers facing problems and challenges that we all face at some point in our lives.

But what truly made Harry Potter stand out for me was its underlying theme of love. Love was not just portrayed as a romantic notion, but also as a powerful force that could conquer even the darkest of evils. The bond between Harry and his friends, and the love for their families and for each other, is what ultimately helped them defeat Voldemort.

And let’s not forget the amazing world-building by J.K Rowling. The amount of detail she put into creating Hogwarts and its inhabitants was simply mind-blowing. I could picture every nook and cranny of the castle, and imagine myself roaming its halls alongside Harry, Ron and Hermione.

But beyond the fantastical elements, the series also touched upon important themes such as discrimination, bravery, sacrifice and standing up for what’s right. It taught readers to question authority and to never give up hope, even in the darkest of times.

Even after all these years, I still find myself returning to the world of Harry Potter. And each time I do, I discover something new and meaningful that makes me appreciate the series even more.

So if you haven’t given this series a chance yet, I highly recommend it. Trust me, you’ll be hooked from page one. And for those who have already delved into the world of Harry Potter, let’s raise our wands and say together: “Always.” Because that’s what this series will always be for me – a timeless classic that I will never get tired of reading.

What Harry Potter Series Taught Me?

Even though the books are about the world of wizards and magic, the Harry Potter series contains a lot of lessons for young people to learn. Firstly, it teaches us the importance of friendship. I have read many books but never come across a friendship like that of Harry, Hermoine, and Ron. These three musketeers stuck together throughout the books and never gave up. Further, the series of Harry Potter taught me that no one is perfect. Everyone has good and evil inside them. We are the ones who choose what we wish to be. My Favorite Book – Harry Potter (Essay Sample)

My favorite book – harry potter.

J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series remains one of the most read and celebrated pieces of literature. The Harry Potter books highlight the idea of wizarding, painting the picture of the world so incredible that the reader gets immersed in the writer’s description of an almost utopian world. While books in the entire Potter series are my best, one specific book “The Goblet of Fire” is particularly special to me; it is my favorite.

“The Goblet of Fire” caught my attention the moment I read the first few sentences. Although I had read most of the earlier releases in the Potter series, none of them was as tantalizing and articulate as “The Goblet of Fire.” The concept of a wizarding world larger than Hogwarts is brought to light in the previous three books but in “Goblet of Fire,” the idea of a larger wizarding world is emphasized and brought to reality. “Goblet of Fire” is a book that marks a transition from the previous releases, as it is written from a relatively more mature perspective. In the book, Rowling gives a vivid description of two more wizarding schools which visit Hogwarts in preparation for the so-called “Tri-Wizard Tournament.”

The idea of the Quidditch World Cup in the first chapters of the book is so vividly described that the reader begins to imagine an alluring Tri-Wizard Tournament, surrounded by exceptionally competent wizards. The book presents scenes where the young Harry is forced into deadly situations reserved for older wizards during the tournament. The character Voldemort is transformed from an imaginary person into a real-world physical being. In the previous books of the series, the character was treated as an idea that threatens the world. Making the character a real, tangible person sets the book and its characters’ experiences on a whole new level.

Throughout the author’s narrations, “Goblet of Fire” retains an adventurous and youthful approach evident in the previous books in the series. The characters in the book are fully developed, and their descriptions are filled with action and adventure. For instance, the Hogwarts children interact effectively with other wizarding students. The author vividly describes the events at the tournament as children work in collaboration socializing during the Christmas Ball.

For someone who loves seeing the magical world through the eyes of Harry, the book is irresistible. Harry often treats the reader to such spectacles as flying in a magical car and finding parents. Some scenes such as the awkward school dance during the tournament, combined with the various tricks employed by magicians present growing up as a fun-filled yet dangerous period in the life of various characters. Readers are treated to the thrill of various fantasies that only the magical world can offer. The children in the play literally transform into adults and their youthful naivety is so well captured in J.W. Rowling’s descriptions with such powerful curses as Avada Kedavra which supposedly kills the enemies instantly.

In conclusion, the Harry Potter series is a single story told through various pieces, each setting up a platform for subsequent books in the series. Humans are so lost in the real world full of challenges and negative experiences that a chance to go to a magical utopia-like trip greatly excites me. “The Globe of Fire” and other Harry Potter series books grant me that opportunity, making it my favorite book.

Books are friends who will never abandon you. This saying rings true for me because books have always been there for me. I like to read books. They have the ability to transport us through worlds without requiring us to leave our current location.  Books have the power to transport people all over the world without them having to leave their homes. My parents and teachers always encouraged me to read when I was younger.  Harry Potter, on the other hand, will always be my favourite book.

J.K. Rowling, one of our generation's most eminent writers, wrote the Harry Potter series. These books depict the wizarding world and its operations. J.K. Despite the fact that the series consists of seven books, I have a personal favourite.  When I first started reading the book, it immediately piqued my interest. Despite having read all of the previous parts, none of the books piqued my interest as much as this one did.

Rowling's description of that character's aura and personality is simply brilliant. Furthermore, it made me a bigger fan of the series.Despite the fact that the books are set in the world of wizards and magic, the Harry Potter series contains many lessons for young people to learn.

Finally, these books provided me with hope. They taught me what hope is and that there is light at the end of the tunnel. Here are some sample essays on my favourite book .

My Favourite Book Essay - 100, 200, 500 Words

Our ability to learn and retain information improves constantly as and when we read more and more ebooks. Reading a book is the finest way to learn something. My parents are avid book collectors. We even have an enormous collection of novels and books at home. The Adventure of Sherlock Holmes is one of them, and it's my favourite.

I love Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's writing. Most of his novels have been read by me. My favourite of them is Sherlock Holmes. The main character of this book series, Dr Watson, is also very fascinating. Upon beginning to read Sherlock Holmes, I fell in love with detective fiction. I have read numerous novels throughout my life since I enjoy reading them.

The Book I Love

Rusty, an orphaned Anglo-Indian young boy, is the protagonist of the novel ‘The Room on the Roof’. He lived with an Englishman named Mr Harrison in a colony of Europeans in Dehradun. Mr Harrison desires that Rusty should grow into a cultured Englishman and makes an effort to keep him away from the local Indians.

On the other hand, Rusty enjoys playing with his Indian friends. Thus, Rusty flees to live with his friends because he cannot stand Mr Harrison's strict rules and domineering personality. As he moves away from Mr Harrison, Rusty learns a lot about India and the Indian lifestyle. But he soon understands that in order to survive, he must work.

He soon starts teaching English to Mr and Mrs Kapoor's son Kishen. They provide him with a space under their roof and feed him in exchange for his help and support. He eventually learns that Mr Kapoor is an alcoholic. His wife Meena is 20 years younger than Mr Kapoor. Meena is attracted to Rusty, and he feels the same way about her. They become very close over time. Rusty experiences joy for the very first time in his entire life.

His joy, however, is short-lived since Meena perishes in a car accident. Both Kishen and Rusty are devastated by the news. Kishen moves in with his aunt after this occurrence, leaving Rusty alone. Rusty makes the decision to settle down in England in order to get over his tragedy and start again.

Books have always been loyal companions that stick by your side. The ones that were always there by my side were books. I like reading books. Without physically going anywhere, they have the ability to allow us to travel through other places. Furthermore, reading books helps us use our creativity. My parents and educators pushed me to read during my childhood. I learned the value of reading from them.

Harry Potter Series

Harry Potter is a series of novels by J.K. Rowling. It feels authentic because J.K. Rowling did such an excellent job at painting a visual of this world. The Goblet of Fire is my favourite volume in this series.

My interest was immediately sparked when I began reading the book. I had read every chapter before, but none of the novels had the same effect on me as this particular one did. A broader view of the wizard's society was provided. This book's presentation of the various wizard schools is among the aspects that most thrill me. One of the most original ideas I've encountered in the books of Harry Potter is the idea of the Tri-wizard competition.

The Harry Potter books offer a lot of principles for young individuals to learn, despite the fact that they are about wizards and the magical world. It first teaches us the value of friendship. Despite the number of novels I've read, I've never encountered a friendship quite like Harry, Hermione, and Ron's. Throughout the entire series of books, these three musketeers remained a team and never gave up. It made me appreciate the significance of a good friend.

I learned that none of us is flawless from the Harry Potter series. It also taught me that each person has both good and bad traits and it is up to us who we want to be and this is the decision only we make for ourselves. Even the characters with the greatest flaws, like Snape, had excellent qualities like intelligence, commitment, ambition, and talent and he fulfilled all his promises.

Although Snape was a cruel and cunning personality he changed and became a good person after Dumbledore gave him a chance. It teaches us that every bad person can change, it might be a difficult process but one should always change for good. These qualities inspire me to be ambitious and committed as this will help me to achieve all the goals in my life.

I learned from them what it is to have hope and believe that there is light on the other side of the tunnel. It empowered me to maintain optimism even at the worst moments, as Harry did throughout his entire life.

A lot of films based on novels have been produced. The authenticity and core of the novels are unmatched. No other type of media can compare to the specifics and inclusivity of books. I still think The Goblet of Fire is my favourite book because of this fact.

Essay on My Favourite Book Quran in 500 Words

People read books to feed their mind that is hungry for knowledge. I am a book lover and I love reading lots of books. I have a list of my favorite books. But one book is very special for me and it’s a holy book in the religion of Islam.

I hope you can guess it’s the Quran. That book has been life-changing for me. And today I will tell you why it is my favorite book and what you can learn from this.

My Favourite Book Quran:

As a Muslim, I was taught the Quran at a young age. But we are not native Arabic speakers that language is being used in the Quran. But when I grew up, I bought English translated Quran for me. I read the whole book within two days and it was a huge breakthrough in my life.

It changed my vision, my perspective, and my motive of life. Let me tell you how all that happened. First of let’s talk about how this holy book came to us. It was almost 1450 years ago, it came to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Allah sent it to his part by part. This book is unchanged and still carrying the same content. The most surprising thing is that it still can be a guide for the ultimate good life after 14 hundreds of years. That’s why Islamic scholars tell ‘the Quran is the perfect solution for life’. Whatever we need to learn, solve, or think everything has been discussed in the Quran.

There was an open challenge for mankind if they make a similar chapter of the Quran. But it’s not possible to write. Because this book has come directly from the Almighty Allah. It wasn’t written by any human.

Why is the Quran My Favourite Book?

Everything that we need to survive in the world has been discussed in the Holy Quran. If you need to find a solution to any too complex problem, you can find a proper solution in this book. You need to have the proper knowledge to research that.

There are lots of Islamic countries in the world that are operating their laws based on the Quran. It is very easy, useful, and great for mankind. Allah said that a person who reads the Quran regularly fills his heart with blessings.

We can earn lots of rewards for the afterlife by reading the Quran. It’s a huge threat to the heart. When we feel sick inside, it helps us to heal it. The Quran has talked about education, medication, science, and different inventions.

There are some surprising things that have been discussed in the Quran and the current science has proved them now. The scientists took the help of the Quran to make the world a better place by inventing new things.

Conclusion:

Overall the Quran is the solution for a complete life. I am sure you will love it if you read it. It should be one of your most-read books.

My favorite book Robinson Crusoe was written by Daniel Defoe and it first published on 25 April 1719. A very important thing to note is that this book is 300 years old, but the content and storyline are still feeling amazing to the new generation of readers.

This book contains a story named a person ‘Robinson’ who lived on an island for 28 years. He fell in a ship accident and lost everything. Then he found a boat to drive to the nearest island. It was a huge island.

He made his own kingdom there. He collected his food by taming animals and growing some crops. He became a permanent member of the island. Some day he faced something brutal and different. He found a man was naked brought to the island by some cannibals.

He rescued the person and gave him the name ‘Friday’. Friday became his partner but he was also a member of cannibals. That’s why Robinson kept him outside of his tent.

Then Friday became the partner of Robinson and they both made the island an amazing place for themselves. In the end, a ship came to their island and there was lots of adventure and stories that will make you feel thrilled.

There are so many reasons that are why I like this book. The first reason is it teaches me about life and reality. I get very serious when I read this book. I have read it almost 4 times and am still reading it again.

What Did This Book Teach Me?

This book is a huge learning for me. For the first 20 years, Robinson was living there all alone. And that time he managed to survive because of his intelligence, courage, and dedication. That’s a huge learning for me.

It teaches how to keep yourself focused when you are alone and under lots of problems. This story is about how a man creates his own reality. When Robinson found Friday and he became the best companion for him.

He taught him language, religion, and overall civilization. Including all these things this book is like a teacher to me. It helps me to understand lots of harsh reality.

Table of Contents

Essay on My Favorite Book (1000 Words)

The true companion of humans in this world is a book. Without the book, the life of humans remains incomplete.

It is a book that teaches us how to be wonderful humans with positive thoughts and shows us the path to wisdom. I would gladly announce my dipper feelings that books have always been there for me.

In the time of trouble, in the time of loneliness, a book can revive you from all these in the time of stress . Humans are complicated to judge, but the books are not. That is why many philosophers have quoted that –

Books are the true friend of a human.

Books have a special quality that can help the readers travel through their words without moving from the actual destinations. Otherwise, we can infer that books enhance our imagination. One book that gave me inspiration is Harry Potter. It is my favorite book.

Books are the True Guide

During the growing stage of a human baby, the parents and teachers are the guides to help the baby grow into a mature and obedient person in the future.

The process to make him or her into a recognizable person to this society takes many efforts, and without books, it can’t be done.

My teachers and parents taught me the importance of books. The inspiration from them led me to read several books. The book ‘Harry Potter’ will always be my favorite, as it gives me goosebumps every time I am reading it.

This book is one of the most intriguing reads of my life. I have finished reading all the books in this series. Every time I read them, I never get bored with it.

Interesting specifics that I admire about the book “Harry Potter”

The series of Harry Potter books were authored by one of the most eminent writers of our generation, J. K. Rowling.

She has been so successful at weaving a picture of this world, which seems so real. The Harry Potter book series comprises seven books. The Goblet of Fire is my favorite book among all series.

The time I began to read this book, it caught my attention instantly. It is one of the best moments to read all the previous parts; however, there are no other books that caught my attention as this one did.

This book has completely given me a thrilling experience and given me enough lessons. This book contributed a huge perspective into the wizarding world.

One most interesting part of this book is the introduction of the other wizard schools. This is the only thing that excites me the most and promotes my mind to read and imagine the total content.

In this book, it starts a concept as the Tri-wizard tournament. This book is one of many vivid pieces one can come across in the Harry Potter series. This book has also drawn my special attention and become my favorite book ,  as it contains some of my favorite characters.

There is this exact love moment when Viktor Krum showed up in this book. At this moment, I got so excited while reading it. J. K. Rowling has described the aura and personality of that character in a suspensive and thrilling way. Rowling has done a marvelous job with simplicity and brilliancy by allocating every character in the Harry Potter series.

A Lesson I Found from the Harry Potter Series

The Harry Potter series is completely based on the world of wizards and magic, but the books contain a lot of lessons for young people to learn. We can learn about the importance of friendship in these books. As per my idea, I have completed so many books but found nothing like these books.

The way of representation of friendship in this series is quite admirable. The friendship among Harry, Hermione, and Ron will give you the best idea of what are the roles of friends’ in our lives.

Harry, Hermione, and Ron love to stick together throughout the books and never gave up. Therefore, I choose the Harry Potter series as my favorite book.

Friendship has its importance. In our normal days, we meet with many people; some stay close to you, and some are just talking casually with you. However, you can find people who are always available to you with no hesitation.

This shows genuine friendship. That is why I admire the writer of this book as she explained the characters so deeply and mentioned the vitality of friendship.

Also, I learned from this book that no one is perfect. No matter how hard you try at some point, you may succeed, or you may fail. That’s what makes us human. Every person possesses a duality of nature , sometimes good and sometimes evil. Here, you can select any character you’d admire.

My favorite book, ‘Harry Potter,’ has shown me and helped me make better choices and become a better human being. The readers can see how the most flawed characters like Snape had goodness inside them.

Also, the series explains how the nicest ones, like Dumbledore, had some undesirable traits. The total scenario displayed in the book series has changed my perspective towards people and made me more considerate.

The series of Harry Potter also provides me with hope. A reader can manipulate the meaning of hope and how there is light at the end of the tunnel through these books. I got inspired the most by the character Harry, as his life is full of the strongest points to cling on to hope in the most desperate times.

10 Lines about My Favorite Book

  • The entire series of Harry Potter is a collection of novels based on fantasy authored by J. K. Rowling.
  • The chronicle of a young wizard’s life known as Harry is explained here.
  • The series also tells us about his friends Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley.
  • It bases the series upon the students of the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
  • I find this book more interesting, and the series turns out to be my favorite book.
  • This book displays everything that we deal with in our normal lives.
  • The books of Harry Potter tell us about his struggle against Lord Voldemort.
  • Lord Voldemort is a dark wizard who intends to become immortal.
  • Lord Voldemort is the anti-character in this series.
  • He takes over the wizard governing body known as the Ministry of Magic and subjugates all wizards and Muggles (non-magical people).

I found many movies and series that were made upon this series. However, nothing can overcome the essence and originality of the books.

As my favorite book, I would like to suggest every reader go through this series. The Harry Potter series will never dissatisfy you, and you can gain enough wonderful messages through these books.

Any form of movies, or comics, or series can’t substitute the specialty and inclusiveness of the books. As per my perspective, The Goblet of Fire will always be my favorite book.

Hope you liked this essay on my favorite book. You can also write a suberb essay on your favorite book by taking help of this article.

My Favourite Book Essay – Essay on My Favourite Book for Class 6, Class 7

September 20, 2019 by Leya 2 Comments

Favourite Book Essay – Here are essays on some of the favourite books of Grade 6 and 7 students:

Table of Contents

Essay on My Favourite Book for Class 6

1. best read: diary of a wimpy kid.

My favourite book is “Diary of a Wimpy Kid’ as it is essentially a novel in cartoons. It is written and illustrated by the talented Jeff Kinney and is the first book in the ‘Diary of a Wimpy Kid’ series. The book has also been adapted to a film.

This book is written in the form of diary entries of a boy named Greg Heffley who struggles to gain popularity in middle school. He strictly refers to the diary as a journal and intends to be rich and famous one day. The author takes the reader through hilarious incidents that take place at Greg’s school and home.

Rowley, Greg’s friend, gains popularity in school. Greg tries to take advantage of this and hence, ends up in situations that test their friendship.

One of the memorable incidents in the book is the discussion around the “Cheese Touch”. Greg narrates that someone had left a piece of cheese in school and it got mouldy. Anyone who touched it would have the “Cheese Touch” and would have to pass it on to someone else by touching them. Luckily the last person of the infamous “Cheese Touch” moved away!

Greg also introduces his family to the reader and narrates hilarious incidents involving his family members. The little adventure on which Greg and his friends embarked on Halloween day was really very funny.

Greg is not fond of Patty Farrel as she is always looking to get him into trouble. There are instances where he had a chance to get back at her, and these are some of the memorable parts of the book.

I like the fact that the book is written in a style that is very different from the conventional reads today. The storyline and illustrations strike a chord with the reader as they are able to relate to the incidents easily.

2. Favourite Book: Dork Diaries

Dork Diaries is a children’s book series that is written in the format of the diary of a 14-year old girl, Nikki Maxwell. The books have drawings, comic strips, and doodles of incidents from the girl’s life.

The first book of the ‘Dork Diaries’ series is my favourite. It narrates the life of Nikki Maxwell who is unhappy to attend Westchester Country Day, a middle school that her father arranges. She is unable to make friends among the wealthy children attending the school.

Nikki gets a locker right next to the most popular girl in school, MacKenzie Hollister, who calls her a dork. MacKenzie also tries to bully Nikki as and when she gets a chance. Nikki soon makes friends with two other girls, Chloe and Zoey. She also starts to like Brandon from school.

When Nikki enters an art show in school, she finds that MacKenzie will be competing with her and she is determined to win.

The book follows the life of Nikki through diary entries and comic strips. There are several hilarious descriptions of her family that made me laugh out loud. I really like the format of the book, wherein the monotony of the text is broken by the illustrations.

This is a very popular book across the world and has a large reader base among middle school children.

Essay on My Favourite Book for Class 7

1. best book: harry potter and the chamber of secrets.

I have read most of the books in the Harry Potter series and my favourite is ‘Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets’. This is the second novel in the series written by the famed author, J.K. Rowling.

The story of the book is as enchanting and mysterious as the other Harry Potter books. It narrates the incidents that take place during the second year of Harry’s studies at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

As Harry was packing his bags to return to school after a hideous summer, he gets warned by an impish creature, Dobby. The creature says that Harry will be in the midst of disaster if he returns to Hogwarts.

At Hogwarts, Harry has to tolerate a new professor, Gilderoy Lockhart. A spirit named Moaning Myrtle also starts haunting the girl’s bathroom. In the midst of all this, the children find a series of messages on the corridors of the school that mention the “Chamber of Secrets” being opened and the “heir of Slytherin” intending to kill students who do not belong to all-magical families. This is followed by attacks on the residents of the school.

Harry starts investigating the attacks with the help of his friends Ron and Hermione and has an amazing adventure that keeps the reader gripped to the novel. The book has been adapted into a film that has won a lot of accolades and received international acclaim. There are some video games loosely based on this book as well.

2. Not to be Missed: Percy Jackson – The Lightning Thief

The Lightning Thief is the first book of the ‘Percy Jackson’ series. I love this book as it is an intriguing mix of fantasy, action, and adventure.

The book narrates the adventures of a twelve-year-old boy named Percy Jackson who is unable to control his anger as he suffers from ADHD and dyslexia. He is also not able to focus on schoolwork.

Percy finds that his math teacher turns into a mythical creature and tries to attack him. He goes to a summer camp with his mom and friend Grover Underwood. There, his mother is taken away in a fight with a Minotaur. He rescues his friend and goes on to find out that he is a demigod, the son of the Greek god Poseidon and a mortal woman.

Percy goes to Camp Half Blood and makes friends with Luke Castellan and Annabeth Chase. Grover and Annabeth accompany Percy on a quest to find the missing lightning bolt of Zeus in order to avoid a war between the gods.

Percy locates the bolt and brings it back to Zeus on Mount Olympus. He rewards the boy by not killing him. Percy then spends the rest of the summer at the Half Blood Camp.

Subsequently, he finds the real thief of the lightning bolt and returns to his mother to spend the school year at home.

The book has been highly acclaimed throughout the world. It was also adapted into a movie. ‘The Lightning Thief’ had a number of sequels, owing to its popularity. All these books went on to receive positive reviews as well.

Speech on My Favourite Book

Preparing for public speeches can be daunting for many students. From overcoming stage fright to deciding on the right topic to finding the right arguments, the process is quite lengthy. That is why, in this blog, we have curated two samples for speech on My favourite book to help you prepare better for your speaking and listening tasks at school.

Speech on My Favourite Book (2-3 Minutes)

Good morning to all. My name is Reeva Raj and my topic for the English-speaking task is My favourite book. “ Books are the quietest and most constant of friends; they are the most accessible and wisest of counselors, and the most patient of teachers”. Books are friends who never leave your side. I find this saying to be very true as books have always been there for me. I enjoy reading books. My favourite book is Harry Potter by J.K Rowling. This book is about wizards and the wizarding world. Harry Potter contains a total of seven books. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is the 2nd book in the series and it’s my favourite.

There are so many things for readers to learn from the series Harry Potter. It teaches us the importance of friendship. It teaches us that someone’s background doesn’t determine his or her value as a person and many more lessons. It also showed me that no one in this universe is perfect. Everyone has good and evil inside them. I have learnt a lot from this great book. It remains one of the most precious treasures of mankind.

Speech for 5-10 Minutes

Good morning to all. My name is Reeva Raj and my topic for the English-speaking task is My favourite book. “ Books are the quietest and most constant of friends; they are the most accessible and wisest of counselors, and the most patient of teachers”. Books are friends who never leave your side. I find this saying to be very true as books have always been there for me. I enjoy reading books. My favourite book is Iliad by Homer. The Iliad is an epic poem written by the Greek poet Homer. It tells the story of the last year of the Trojan War fought between the city of Troy and the Greeks. Achilles – Achilles is the main character and the greatest warrior in the world.

The Iliad teaches us many things, such as The importance of family is a central theme in the epic, the lovely scene of Hector with Andromache and his son is heartwarming all these years later. The friendship between Achilles and Patroclus is incredibly touching. The way Achilles fiercely and obsessively seeks vengeance for Patroclus has made many question if there was a romance between them.Priam losing his greatest son Hector and his supplication to Achilles to return his body so he and Troy can properly mourn its protector is another example of the theme of family.Achilles too lamenting his own father and how he shall never see him again, Priam and Achilles weeping together shows the futility of war as well as how family has affected these two enemies together.

The classics of Greece and Rome provide us with a set of connected stories and a cast of characters that teach us what it means to be human. They are also the basis of literature, teaching us about natural man (man at his best and worst, but natural man). They don’t give us the answers that we find in revelation, but they do give us the questions.

Books are wonderful – a bundle of pages with a cover on top brimming with content that stimulates the human imagination and helps us escape pressing reality. They are also beneficial to health. If you don’t like reading books, it’s definitely worth trying different genres until you find what interests you. Thank you for listening. I hope the speech was informative for you.

I love reading books. I probably grew the habit of reading at a very young age. I think so because I cannot remember the name of my first read book. I spend most of my free time reading books. Even though fiction is my favourite genre, but I like reading some other genres of the book as well, like fantasy and horror.

I have a few books that I love reading often. My favourite book is ‘Little Women’ written by an American author named Louisa May Alcott in 1968. • Goblet of Fire is tonally uneven but marks a significant turning point in the series with entertaining storylines.
  • Sorcerer's Stone is a magical introduction with hints of darker storylines, capturing readers with classic storytelling tropes.

Every reader of the Harry Potter books will have their favorite, but a few are generally considered the best and others the worst. Chronicling young Harry’s coming-of-age and his conflict with Lord Voldemort to determine the fate of the Wizarding World, Harry Potter is one of the most popular fantasy book series of all time. It is often credited with reviving reading culture and has spawned two connected movie franchises, an upcoming TV show, and several theme parks and other destination experiences.

Certain books in the Harry Potter series bear the burden of world-building and therefore come across as interim novels before the series gets to its biggest events. However, other installments demonstrate that it is possible to set up vital plot elements while still constituting compelling prose. Its overall biggest strength is in the characters, where even the supporting arcs merit audience investment, elevating even the de facto worst book of the series.

J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter book series includes ten events or tropes that occur in one way or another in each of the seven iconic books.

7 Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets

Chamber of secrets is slow in comparison to the other books..

In retrospect, an entire book dedicated to the threat of an evil serpent living in Hogwarts castle and the blame somehow being cast upon Harry and Hagrid seems strange. Landing in the middle of the pre-Voldemort trilogy, Chamber of Secrets doesn’t have the wonder of its predecessor or the amazing plot twists of its sequel. It does have some good plot twists, such as Ginny’s role in the attacks on students and the “I am Lord Voldemort” reveal, while the overall story twists the childlike magic of the first novel, dipping into darker aesthetics.

Chamber of Secrets’ biggest contribution to the series’ overall plot is setting up the politics of blood purism in the Wizarding World, the crux of the conflict with Voldemort and his followers. The introduction of characters like Dobby and the dynamics between Harry and the Weasley family are also highlights. However, people who are re-reading Harry Potter are likely just waiting to get to better things during Chamber of Secrets , one of the books where the ways the world revolves around Harry are the most contrived.

6 Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire

Goblet of fire is slightly confusing, with a shocking change in tone..

The other time that the Wizarding World bends out of shape to place Harry at the center of things in an awkward way is when he is selected as a Triwizard champion in Goblet of Fire . Granted, Harry is the protagonist of the series and the target of Lord Voldemort’s constant assassination attempts, and there is a story-relevant reason for him being forced into the Triwizard Tournament . Yet fans love to criticize how the Ministry of Magic representatives decide to make Harry a champion rather than just calling it a mistake and excusing him from it.

On other fronts, Goblet of Fire can come across as meandering. Part of this is due to J. K. Rowling realizing a plot hole midway through writing it and having to go back and undo it. It is also tonally strange when most of the book is dominated by the festivities of the Quidditch World Cup and the Triwizard Tournament until the final dark chapters depicting Voldemort’s return. Cedric Diggory’s death is a tragic, effective moment that illustrates Voldemort’s cruelty and indicates what is to come.

Goblet of Fire also represents a vital crossroads for the Harry Potter series, even if not everyone loves reading it. It is a strange mix of entertaining and seemingly pointless storylines: The beginnings of teen romantic drama are amusing, while Rita Skeeter blasting that romantic drama in the newspapers is cringe-worthy. There are reasons to love Goblet of Fire and reasons to hate it, but other books in the series are decidedly better.

5 Harry Potter And The Sorcerer's Stone

Sorcerer's stone is the magical introduction to the world of harry potter..

Harry is dazzled by his introduction to the Wizarding World, while hints of darker things lying in wait there set up a bigger story.

Some people will dismiss Sorcerer’s Stone as the serviceable opener of the series that does what it needs to do, so bigger and better things can happen later. However, the way it does this merits reevaluation. The first few chapters leading up to Hagrid’s arrival are a strange but spectacular mystery of what is causing the bizarre events in Harry and the Dursleys’ lives, while Harry receiving an explanation in the form of a Hogwarts acceptance letter is incredibly satisfying while promising years of magic to come.

The rest of the book demonstrates a kind of magical wonder that only appears in brief flashes throughout the rest of the series. Harry is dazzled by his introduction to the Wizarding World, while hints of darker things lying in wait there set up a bigger story. Sorcerer’s Stone utilizes a classic children’s literature trope in the protagonist’s transition from the mundane world to the magical one, which captured the minds of readers from the beginning.

In the UK, Harry Potter’s first story is called The Philosopher’s Stone but stateside it’s Sorcerer’s Stone. What are the differences between the two?

4 Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix

Order of the phoenix is the darkest harry potter book yet with many amazing characters..

Order of the Phoenix was the darkest, most mature Harry Potter book yet — at the time. There is a feeling of a promise being honored now that the overall plot of the war with Voldemort is finally taking shape. This brings with it the introduction of many new fan-favorite characters who are members of the Order of the Phoenix , while others’ return gives the series a sense of continuity. The scope of the action is bigger, while readers are provided with a love-to-hate villain in Dolores Umbridge who both compliments and contrasts the threat of Voldemort.

Order of the Phoenix is one of the points in the series that is poignantly written, even if it is emotionally strenuous to read. The Wizarding World turns against Harry; Voldemort’s return and the Ministry’s campaign force Harry and his friends to grow up sooner rather than later, even though the reality that they are nearing adulthood becomes clear. However, they rise to this responsibility by forming Dumbledore’s Army.

Dumbledore’s Army fulfills a beloved trope of a young rebellion taking shape in the face of corrupt authority figures. However, it avoids the feeling of being too trope-y characterizing every rebellion-based series that came after The Hunger Games . Order of the Phoenix pushes the story and the characters further than ever before, illustrating their strengths and flaws while stressing their need for each other.

3 Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows

Deathly hallows is the satisfying conclusion to harry potter..

Deathly Hallows is the conclusion that ties the entire series together, with beats that nod to Sorcerer’s Stone and subtle symbolisms that readers are still dissecting. The story demands that Harry, Ron, and Hermione be away from Hogwarts, but their return to the series’ primary setting for the final battle creates the perfect “it all ends here” feeling. As the characters reunite for their final stand, the narrative gives the Hogwarts teachers some amazing moments to truly showcase their knowledge of magic, and in McGonagall’s case, to have the epic face-off with Snape that she deserves.

The biggest caveat of Deathly Hallows is that it is too miserable to read, but every death has an individual narrative purpose — such as Remus and Tonks’ deaths drawing a parallel between Harry and Teddy — as well as generally illustrating the cost of war. There are happy moments mixed in: Bill and Fleur’s wedding, Teddy’s birth, and Percy reuniting with his family. Deathly Hallows is a heartbreaking but satisfying whirlwind of epic final battles where everything is wrapped up, before giving the characters a happy ending of peaceful family life (not considering The Cursed Child’s plot).

2 Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban

Prisoner of azkaban features beloved characters and wild plot twists..

Prisoner of Azkaban is a fan-favorite primarily due to the introduction of Sirius and Remus , who bring with them more information about Harry’s past and his parents. The book gives a fuller picture of the Potter family, where Lily and James’ lives have a bearing on the story rather than just their deaths. The story is built around a wild plot twist and a theme of time ticking away, something director Alfonso Cuarón illustrated beautifully in the movie adaptation.

Prisoner of Azkaban is possibly the best book to re-read because once readers know the plot twist, they realize all the tiny hints throughout. Remus’ odd reaction to Harry mentioning Sirius, the description of Scabbers missing a toe, and other moments all contribute to a classic mystery where all the seemingly unrelated elements fit together in the end. However, Prisoner of Azkaban also showcases that the Wizarding World is fallible — the government consistently arrests the wrong people — demonstrating that Voldemort is not the only evil out there and contributing to a more complex story.

HBO's upcoming Harry Potter TV remake has the chance to right the wrongs of the movies, including a frustrating Prisoner of Azkaban change.

1 Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince

Half-blood prince's slower plot allows for more elegant writing..

However, Half-Blood Prince stands out as the best-written Harry Potter book because it is also deeply romantic.

Half-Blood Prince had its work cut out, needing to set up all the plot points necessary to make the last book happen. However, the exploration of Voldemort’s origins is one of the novel's greatest strengths. It also introduces even more nuances to the story and themes with Draco’s hesitance to murder for Voldemort and the continued politics with the Ministry and teachers. Amid all this, Harry has become a young man who verbalizes his opinions about the government and the school in a way even more mature than leading secret rebellions.

However, Half-Blood Prince stands out as the best-written Harry Potter book because it is also deeply romantic. Major storylines are about finding happiness while the world is burning down; everything comes full circle with Harry and Ginny’s relationship , as well as Ron and Hermione’s . There is some drama in the Weasley family with Molly not approving of Fleur — they reconcile after Bill is attacked, only for Tonks to drop the bombshell of her relationship with Remus seconds later. This novel of gradual plot progression in both the major conflicts and relationships is a strong contender for the best in the series.

Harry Potter

Harry Potter is a multimedia franchise about an orphaned boy who enrolls at Hogwarts School of Wizardry, where he learns the truth about himself, his family, and the terrible evil that haunts the magical world. Adapted from the novels, Harry Potter is an eight-episode film saga that follows the journey of Harry Potter and his friends, Hermoine Granger and Ron Weasley, as they navigate the tricky world of growing up, school life, and magic. Starting from year one and moving to their seventh year, the films chronicle the students' time at Hogwarts while unfurling a sinister plot that centers around the unsuspecting Harry. With the return of the dark wizard, Voldemort, the students and professors at Hogwarts will fight to carry on as the world around them may change forever. Harry Potter has expanded beyond the world of its films and novels with several video games, a spin-off film series titled Fantastic Beasts, and even attractions at Universal Studios.

The Best Rides At Universal's Islands of Adventure (According To a 10 year old)

Any trip to Orlando would be complete without visiting Universal Orlando Resort, which is made up of three theme parks.

In this guide, we’re going to be sharing our favorite rides from Universal’s Islands of Adventure , which is known for its thrill rides.

It has seven individually themed islands, each with its own attractions, restaurants and shops.

All the rides and attractions are based after books, movies, Marvel comics, or mythology.

As a Harry Potter fan, I was excited to visit the main Harry Potter section of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter which is located in this theme park, as well as one of the BEST rides EVER; The Incredible Hulk.

Personally, Islands of Adventure is my favourite theme park at Universal Orlando Resort.

If you’re planning a visit here and not sure which rides to go on, then this guide is for you! I’ve listed my favorite Universal Islands of Adventure rides so you can pick a few to go on during your trip.

Jurassic Park

Toon lagoon, seuss landing, the lost continent, marvel super hero island, rides at hogsmeade, islands of adventure, harry potter and the forbidden journey.

  • Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure

The Hogsmeade Experience

Use child swap, be a single rider, go early and stay late, get universal express passes, meet your favorite characters, consider a meal plan, tickets for islands of adventure, where to stay at universal orlando resort, universal orlando resort videos, pin to save on pinterest, the best rides at universal’s islands of adventure.

We had the 3 day park-to-park ticket so we could move between the parks easily.

I highly recommend having that pass. It will make your day so much better, especially for experience The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

In Islands of Adventure, there are lots of different lands.

For example: Jurassic Park, The Lost Continent (the one we didn’t do), Marvel Super Hero Island, Port of Entry, Toon Lagoon, Suess Landing, and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

Here are some of our favorite rides in each land.

There wasn’t really much to do in Jurassic Park, but it was still fun.

The Jurassic Park River Adventure ride was fun though and one of our favorites.

You think it’s relaxing until you pass the giant T-Rex and other dinosaurs and do the big, 85-foot drop at the end!

Savannah didn’t know it was coming, actually – nobody knew it was coming lol, except me because I watch videos of intense rides and stuff…..

Anyway, it was so funny to see her face drop and let out a tiny scream!

She’s not into scary rides and we convinced her to come on this saying it was just a gentle float down the river, which we thought it was!! She’ll never forget that ride.

Some more attractions at Jurassic Park:

  • Camp Jurassic
  • Jurassic Park Discovery Centre
  • Pteranodon Flyers
  • The Jurassic World VelociCoaster

We didn’t spend too long in Toon Lagoon because there wasn’t much to do in this land.

The famous Skull Island: Reign of Kong ride is located between Toon Lagoon and Jurassic Park, so we rode this one on the way in.

The ride is like a safari that takes you through the story of King Kong. It’s one of the most popular rides in the park.

There was a really fun ride in Toon Lagoon called Dudley Do-Right’s Ripsaw Falls.

This ride is a water ride and you get soaked!

Since there is child swap, (more information on that later) I got to go on it twice, so I got twice as wet lol!

It is about a 4-5 minute ride so it is one of the longer rides.

Be prepared for the steep drop at the end! (by the way, it’s basically the same steepness as Rip Ride Rocket Roller Coaster!)

Oh, and it was really funny because there was a people dryer right next to the ride!

More rides in Toon Lagoon:

  • Me Ship, The Olive
  • Popeye & Bluto’s Bilge Rat Barges

Savannah really liked Seuss Landing because there was a couple of good little rides for her so we visited this land a couple of times.

And since it is literally beside the Harry Potter section, we went here right after some epic magic. Some rides are:

  • The Cat in the Hat – Savannah loved this ride!
  • Caro – Seuss – ell
  • If I ran the zoo
  • One fish, Two fish, Red fish, Blue fish
  • Oh! The stories you’ll hear!
  • The High in The Sky Seuss Trolley Train Ride!

I definitely recommend this land if you have a child between 2 – 7

We didn’t do The Lost Continent, but it sure looked cool.

Rides and Attractions:

  • Poseidon’s Fury
  • The Eighth Voyage of Sinbad Stunt Show
  • The Mystic Fountain

Ok, so this is where the intense stuff begins.

First of all, it is home to my favorite roller coaster, The Incredible Hulk Coaster. This is a launch coaster and goes at high speeds; it’s soooo much fun!

The ride goes for what feels about 5 minutes, and honestly – at the end of it you just might be as green as the Hulk lol. It’s definitely the most intense ride in the park but one that everyone should go on.

It has 7 inversions and I love roller coasters that go upside down! I think it is one of the best roller coasters in Florida.

Another fun ride I recommend, is The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man.

Spider-Man is another simulator and motion sickness ride when you sit in a vehicle. The best part is when all the villains attack you and you bump up and down and stuff lol.

Some more rides:

  • Doctor Doom’s Fear Fall ( i wanted to do this ride but we ran out of time. Also, you go up fast instead of down)
  • Storm Force Accelatron

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Hogsmeade

The incredible Wizarding World of Harry Potter is divided into two sections: Diagon Alley is in Universal Studios Florida, while Hogsmeade and Hogwarts (my favourite section), is in Islands of Adventure.

If you don’t want to do the long walk from park to park, you can ride the awesome Hogwarts Express between the two.

Why would you not want to take this magical train trip each time?

It really feels like you are in the world of Harry Potter.

Pay close attention to the windows, as there are 3D videos shown on the journey.

What is so cool is the videos are different depending on what direction you are traveling.

For example: if you leave Hogsmeade station, Hagrid is waving goodbye. If you leave Kings Cross, it looks like you are traveling from London to Hogwarts.

The Hogwarts Castle is AMAZING (I was literally crying when I walked in lol).

We had one-hour early entry passes because we were staying at Cabana Bay Orlando Resort , so Hogswarts Castle was the first thing we experienced in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

Unfortunately it wasn’t the whole Hogwarts Castle because it would take up the entire park lol.

The Harry Potter overture was playing, there was fake snow on the roof, and the castle rising up on the hill in the background.

All the shops from the book are there like Honeydukes, Zonko’s, and so much more. Universal puts so much detail into the wizarding world so it feels like you are in the books.

I felt like I was in my dream world.

Mum was crying as well. (that was from mum because she always pretends to be me when editing my posts and literally changes everything. Btw she wasn’t crying. – kalyra)

I always thought it was silly when people cried at Disney World, but now I understand.

I was overcome by the pure magic of Harry Potter and what J.K. Rowling was able to create. It was so joyful – Caz.

Where to Taste Butterbeer

Ok, if you go to Harry Potter world, I DEFINITELY recommend Butterbeer. ( yes parents, it’s alcohol-free) OMG, it’s delicious!!

I’ll never forget how excited Harry, Ron and Hermione were in the book to try butterbeer and how their first taste was the best thing they had ever tasted.

That’s how we felt after our first taste.

It’s like nothing you’ve ever tasted before and it’s incredibly delicious. How they recreated that exact reaction from the book in real life is incredible.

Butterbeer is like a creamy, butterscotch and creaming soda treat. The marshmallow frothy top is  divine.

Here are the options for your butterbeer:

  • Cold ButterBeer (normal) where you can get it in Diagon Alley: Leaky Cauldron, The Hopping Pot. In Hogsmeade: Three Broomsticks, Hog’s Head Pub, and street carts.
  • Frozen Butterbeer (like a slushie) You can get this item at the same places. (Mum’s favorite).
  • Hot Butterbeer (my fav) In Hogsmeade: Hogs Head Pub
  • Butterbeer ice-cream (yum) In Diagon Alley: Leaky Cauldron. In Hogsmeade: Three Broomsticks
  • Potted Cream – Same places as the Butterbeer Ice-cream
  • Butterbeer Fudge – In Diagon Alley: Sugarplum’s Sweet Shop Hogsmeade: Honeydukes.

Unfortunately, we missed the fudge and potted cream- we didn’t know about them!

Again, all of these items are non-alcoholic.

Watch our video from The Wizarding World of Harry Potter:

There are two rides at the Hogsmeade section of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

The Flight of the Hippogriff

Flight of the Hippogriff  is a great roller coaster for the younger kids. Although it’s a little wild for a beginner ride. Savannah loved this ride because she is a fan of Buckbeak in Harry Potter.

I recommend this roller coaster ride for younger kids.

Harry Potter and the Forbidden journey is one of my favourite rides ever, and one of the best rides at Islands of Adventure.

This is a motion sickness ride and simulator so if you don’t like those kinda rides then I recommend not trying this ride.

However, if you ARE fine with those kind of rides, then I DEFINITELY recommend this ride.

It’s amazing because you go around inside the Hogwarts Castle through different rooms and even in the forbidden forest and on the Quidditch pitch where you can play Quidditch with Harry and Ron.

When you first get on the journey, you can hear music and if you look up to a mirror, you can see Hermione talking to you.

The only part I don’t like in this ride is the dragon part because the dragon blows hot air on you.

The best part in my opinion is the Quidditch section and when the whomping willow is trying to attack you, and you sway to the side and it feels like you are about to go upside down because you also sway backwards.

And if your thinking, no it’s not like normal simulator rides when your in a big movie theater. You actually sit in a vehicle (each one fits 4 people) going through the castle!

Also, the queue is fantastic. I would the ride again just to go through the queue again. Since you’re in the Castle, the queue goes through rooms of the castle and it is absolutely amazing.

Some of the rooms are:

  • Defence against the Dark Arts classroom (the best one because Harry, Ron and Hermione talk to you)
  • Gryffindor common room, a hallway with picture’s talking and moving, and many more.

The Forbidden Journey is just fantastic and I highly recommend it.

Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure

Riding Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure is like zooming through the Forbidden Forest on a real magical motorbike!

You get to feel the wind in your hair as you twist and turn past all sorts of creatures like unicorns and Cornish Pixies.

And guess what? Hagrid himself guides you through the forest, showing you all these amazing animals that you’ve only read about in Harry Potter books.

The best part is when the motorbike goes super fast and you feel like you’re flying!

It’s the most exciting ride ever, and I can’t wait to go on it again.

My experience at Hogsmeade was incredible.

My dad was never really into Harry Potter but when we came here it inspired him to read the books.

If you come to Universal Studios or Islands of adventure, you have to check the out The Wizarding World of Harry Potter!

Tips for Visiting Islands of Adventure

Mum put me in charge of planning a trip to Universal Orlando Resort. So I knew a lot of tips before going that would save us time and money.

We learned a few more during our visit to Islands of adventure in the Universal Orlando Resort.

Dad has written an in-depth post sharing tips for Universal Orlando Resort,  which will save you money and time.

Here are just a few of my favorite tips.

Each ride and attraction has a child swap area where one member of your party can wait with the little ones while the rest of your party rides.

Once they are off the ride, you swap places and whoever rode can stay with the kids while the adult(s) who sat out get the opportunity to enjoy the ride.

This is how I got to have so many turns on each ride. It saved me plenty of wait time to go on rides again. It was awesome.

If you are 10 years or older, then you have the option of grabbing a quicker spot as a “single rider

It’s best to hit The Wizarding World of Harry Potter either at 8 am (if you have early park admission by staying at an on-site hotel) or after 4 pm when the park clears out a bit.

Check opening hours as sometimes the park may close an hour later. It closed an hour later than normal on the Friday night we visited.

Head straight to the back of the park while people linger at the front taking photos and stopping at some of the attractions.

If you stay on-site at certain hotels you get free  Universal Express Passes  to the most popular rides and attractions, which allows you to skip to the front of the line.

If not staying on-site, you can also buy a Universal Express Pass upgrade to your admission ticket when you arrive at the park.

There are meet and greets with various characters throughout the day – including Seuss characters, Marvel Super Heroes and Spider-Man.

You can find meet-and-greet times in our park maps. Park maps are available at the front of the park and in various retail and restaurant locations

If you are planning on eating at least 2 meals at the park, then consider purchasing a Meal Plan.

You’ll save some cash as long as you eat two meals. One of the things that really impressed me about the park (besides how clean it was) is how yummy and diverse the food is!

There’s something for every age and it’s gooo-ood food!

Get your Islands of Adventure tickets and Universal Orlando tickets through our affiliate partner, Undercover Tourist, who provide authentic attraction tickets at discounted prices:

  • 2 day park-to-park ticket
  • 3 day park-to-park-ticket
  • 4 day -park-to-park ticket

You can find Universal Orlando Resort tickets through our partner aResTravel, who can get the best priced tickets for Universal. Check for current deals here!

Staying on-site at Universal Orlando Resort helps a lot.

It can get you into the park earlier (all resorts) and give you Universal Express passes (excluding Cabana Bay and Sapphire Falls).

We stayed at Cabana Bay Beach Resort which is the closest hotel to Volcano Bay.

If you stay at a hotel at the Universal Orlando Resort, you can come and go easily back and forth depending on the day and the weather (and the mood of your children).

Here are the current Universal Resort Hotels to choose from (in order of Budget to Luxury):

  • Surfside Inn and Suites ( See prices and availability on Booking.com )
  • Dockside Inn and Suites ( See prices and availability on Booking.com)
  • Universal s Aventura Hotel ( See prices and availability on Booking.com)
  • Cabana Bay Beach Resort ( See prices and availability on Booking.com)
  • Loews Sapphire Falls Resort ( See prices and availability on Booking.com  )
  • Loews Royal Pacific Hotel ( See prices and availability on Booking.com  )
  • Hard Rock Hotel ( See prices and availability on Booking.com  )
  • Loews Portofino Bay Hotel ( See prices and availability on Booking.com )

Final Thoughts on Universal’s Islands of Adventure

Universal’s Islands of Adventure was so much fun.

It was definitely one of my favorite parks besides Volcano Bay , which is Universal Resort’s own water park.

I definitely recommend this park if you like Harry Potter, superheros, and stuff like that.

I can’t wait to go back again!
