• If you are a first time applicant you are advised to click the available programme tab on the homepage of the Online Admission System and select the desired programme and carefully read the details of programme including eligibility criteria, fee details, duration, etc.

Please provide your own email and mobile number at the time of registration.

• Remember, while choosing your UserName it must be between 8 to 16 characters.
• While choosing your password it must be alphanumeric and between 8 to 16 characters long.
• After filling the mandatory information click the "SUBMIT" button.
• Your username will be instantly sent to you via e-mail and SMS.
• Remember your Username and Password for subsequent login.
• If you have already registered i.e you are an existing user click the "LOGIN" button.
• Scanned Photograph (less than 100 KB)
• Scanned Signature (less than 100 KB)
• Scanned copy of relevant Educational Qualification (less than 200 KB)
• Scanned Copy of Experience Certificate (if any) (less than 200 KB)
• Scanned Copy of Category Certificate, if SC/ST/OBC (less than 200 KB)
• Fee can be paid by the following methods:
• Credit Card (Master/Visa)
• Debit Card (Master/Visa/Rupay)
• Net Banking
• It is necessary to scan documents from your originals . Once you have uploaded the document, click the next button you will get the Form preview option. Save/Print your form for future reference.
• Please fill up the details carefully. If you are using the services of a cybercafe to fill up your form, plesae make sure that details are correctly filled up and the relevant documents are uploaded as prescribed. 

Registration fee, Cancellation of Admission and Refund of Fee

• The Registration Fee is non-refundable.
• The fee paid shall be refunded prior to confirmation of admission.
• An amount equivalent to 15% of the programme fee, subject to a ceiling of Rs.2,000/-, will be deducted from the fee paid in case the request for cancellation is received after the confirmation of admission.
• In case a student has opted for soft copy of the study material, the fee paid will be refunded after deducting the Registration fee only.
• If a request for cancellation is received from a student who has availed fee exemption and has paid only the Registration fee and Development fee, only the Development fee will be refunded.
• No Refund of fee will be admissible after 60 days of the closing date of the admissions.

M.A. History – 2nd Year Assignments July 2022 and January 2023 Sessions

You have to do one assignment in each course of 8 and 4 credits. The assignments are compulsory. The assignment will cover the whole course.

It is important that you write the answers to all the assignment questions in your own words. Your answers should be within the approximate range of the word-limit set for a particular question.

The assignments should be submitted to the Coordinator of your Study Centre. You must obtain a receipt from the Study Centre for the assignments submitted and retain it. If possible, keep a photocopy of the submitted assignment with you.

The Study Centre will have to return the assignments to you after they are evaluated. Please insist on this. The Study Centre in turn will send the marks to the Student Evaluation Division at IGNOU, New Delhi. These will be entered in your grade card.

Submission of Assignments

You should note that the submission of assignments is compulsory before taking up Term-end Examination. It is therefore suggested that you do them within time. In M.A. second year you will have to do a total of 4 assignments. However, in case you have opted for MPSE-003 and MPSE-004 then you will have to do 5 assignments. We have given you a lot of time to do the assignments but we advise you to do them one by one along with your study of the particular course and submit them so that you may get back the marks and comments of the Counsellor with evaluated assignment. With a proper planning you will be able to do them within the stipulated period. Please do not wait for the last date to submit all the assignments because it would be difficult to do all of them in one go.

Before attempting the assignments please read the detailed instructions provided in the Programme Guide sent to you separately.

Now read the following guidelines carefully before answering the questions:

GUIDELINES FOR ASSIGNMENTS

The assignments have two types of questions: 1) Essay Type Questions which you have to answer in about 500 words each carry 20 marks each. 2) Short notes which you have to answer in about 250 words each carry 10 marks each.

You will find it useful to keep the following points in mind:

a) Planning: Read the assignments carefully. Go through the units on which they are based. Make some points regarding each question and then re-arrange these in a logical order.

b) Organisation: Be a little more selective and analytical before drawing up a rough outline of your answer. In an essay-type question, give adequate attention to your introduction and conclusion. The introduction must offer your brief interpretation of the question and how you propose to develop it. The conclusion must summarize your response to the question.

Make sure that your answer:

• is logical and coherent;
• has clear connections between sentences and paragraphs;
• is written correctly giving adequate consideration to your expression, style and presentation;
• does not exceed the number of words indicated in your question.

c) Presentation: Once you are satisfied with your answers, you can write down the final version for submission, writing each answer neatly and underlining the points you wish to emphasize.

d) Interpretation: Interpretation is a constant process in history writing. It is already reflected in your planning and selection. Explanatory comments with phrases like may be, because, could be, etc., immediately introduce an element of interpretation in writing itself. Here you have to be careful that these comments can be supportedby the material you have in the answer.

IGNOU June 2024 TEE: Assignment submission deadline extended till May 31

Ignou assignment's last date 2024 has been extended for odl and online programmes for the june tee session. the university will now accept assignments (both hard copy and soft copy) till may 31, 2024..

IGNOU TEE assignment submission 2024: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the assignment submission last date for ODL and online courses. Now, students can submit their assignments both in soft and hard copies by May 31.

Candidates enrolled in ODL, online programmes, GOAL, and EVBB for the June 2024 TEE can submit their projects, dissertations, practical files, and internship reports online at the official website – ignou.ac.in,  the open university said in an official notification.

However, students are suggested to submit the assignment before the last date to avoid last minute rush. Students must note that the IGNOU assignment submission last date 2024 is common for all programmes irrespective of admission year, mode or programme. 

Candidates are required to attach a copy of the fee receipt with the project report at the time of submission of hardcopy or by uploading it to the online portal. 

IGNOU June TEE 2024: Steps for assignment submission

Step 1: Go to the official website – ignou.ac.in

Step 2: Navigate to the assignment submission link available on the homepage

Step 3: Login using the necessary credentials in the designated field

Step 4: Upload the scanned assignment with the respective code

Step 5: Submit the assignment

Step 6: Students are advised to take a screenshot of the assignment submission receipt for further reference

“With the approval of the competent authority, the last date for submission of assignments (both in hard copy and soft copy) for term end examination, June 2024 for both ODL and online programmes, GOAL and EVBB has been extended up to May 31,” read the notification. 

The IGNOU has stared the fresh admission cycle for undergraduate, postgraduate, and other programmes for the July 24 academic year. The last date to apply for the various programmes at IGNOU is June 30. The university offers certificates, diplomas, advanced diplomas, postgraduate diplomas, and degrees. The University is offering more than 290 UG, PG, PG diploma, diploma, certificate and awareness programmes through ODL and online mode.
