(10-15 minutes, print off movie times for children’s movie at local theater): Ask students to choose a children’s movie from the movie listings. Have them plan what time they would need to leave their home to arrive in the theater in time to purchase tickets, stop at the restroom, grab a snack and be ready for the show with time to spare. This will involve planning how long it takes for all these activities (including travel time) and back-tracking from the show’s start time.

(5-10 minutes, “I have Who Has Time for 5th Grade”): Use the “I Have Who Has Time for 5th Grade” printable worksheet to practice time telling skills and listening.
