To cheat these to their max levels, you'll need the following codes:

All you'll need to change about these codes when entering them in-game is to replace the 'X' with the number of the level you wish your Sim to reach. For example, you could do 'stats.set_skill_level Major_ResearchDebate 3' if you just want to give them a little headstart in the skill.

The Discovery University gameplay allows you to choose from 13 different degrees from both of the available universities with a variety of subjects. The degrees associated specifically with a school based on its specialism are known as “distinguished degrees”.

Regardless of the institution you choose, the career of your Sims will be benefited greatly after earning a degree. However, if you manage to get your Sims a distinguished degree, they can enjoy an added advantage for their career. 

To be able to gain a distinguished degree you need to make sure that you meet the high entry requirements and to get accepted into the university. Each of the universities available in this extension pack has three organizations that can only be accessed by the students of the particular institution.

Choosing your desired organization to join and attending the events organized by them can allow your Sims to enjoy several benefits such as increasing skill development, gaining extra credit for associated classes, unlocking unique social interactions, free skill-building objects, and clothing and decorative items. 

How to Enroll in a University in The Sims 4?

If you want to apply for university in Sims 4, you need to first turn on your computer in the game and navigate to the “ university ” option followed by “ apply to universities “. The application of your sim will be considered for all the degree subjects available at both universities automatically.

Moreover, as soon as one or two days passed in the game, you will receive an acceptance letter in your household mailbox. This letter will contain information related to the degree subject for which you have been accepted at various universities. 

It is also possible to check back the status of your application with the help of a computer that will probably provide you with an answer earlier. In addition to the several careers available in this extension pack, there’s also a dedicated list known as “other packs” that has several additional careers. However, this pack needs to be bought separately and there’s also a relevant add-on pack required to be able to access this career option after the graduation of your sim.

Whether you purchase this pack or not, the core skill development will still be a part of the base game as well as the Discover University extension pack. If you also have some other packs activated in your game, you will see that you also have optional classes available upon enrolling for several skills that contribute towards the credit and grade of your degree.

Without a degree, a Sim would be required to choose their branch between levels 5-8, that too after beginning their journey from basic entry-level. However, as the degrees are meant to be branch-specific, they allow you to start from the point where all your educational efforts can start paying you off immediately.

Keep in mind that owning a degree does not offer you any kind of carrier benefits in case your SIM is pursuing an alternative money-making method such as:

These occupations can still be pursued by your sins even after they have completed their graduation. However, the degree-related bonuses are not available for the profession stated above but you can still make a lot of friends to make your Sims’ life less miserable.

Distinguished and Honours Degree in Sims 4 – What Are Their Benefits? 

The extent of career bonuses that you are likely to receive after graduation depends on whether you have applied for a distinguished degree or an honors degree. The main difference lies in the career entry-level of these degrees. If you have a normal degree then your related career is likely to begin from level 6.

On the other hand, if you have an ordinary degree with honors or a distinguished degree without honors, you can straight away start from level 7. On top of that, if you have a distinguished degree with honors, then you can avail yourself of the best opportunity by jumping in straight at level 8 to begin a related career.

The improvements based on skills that increase your chances of gaining a distinguished degree are available in two varieties: 

Bonus skills: it includes several skills that are associated with expansion packs of the game apart from the discovery University that offers a one-time boost after reaching level 3 

Base Skills: world’s best skills are often the core skills associated with the degree, it is not essentially true for all of the skills. As your base skills improve the chances of acceptance for your letter will also increase. It is ideal to work on the skills when you are a level 3,5, or 9 to gain even better chances of getting accepted for a distinguished degree.

The Sims 4 Discover University Cheats

The Sims 4 Discover University releases November 15, 2019 on PC/Mac, and will arrive December 17 for console players. This guide to cheating should work for both platforms. Using trait, career, and skill cheats you're able to boost your Sim in a number of ways -- even giving them a degree they never attended school to earn.

Career Cheats

Discover University comes with three new Careers . First, there's Engineering which has a Computer and Mechanical Engineering branch. Law has Judge and Private Attorney branches, while Education has Administrative and Professor branches. Each of these can be promoted with Careers.promote - so you'd use:

• Careers.Promote Education - to boost your Teacher/Professor .
• Careers.Promote Engineering - to boost your Mechanical or Computer Engineer.
• Careers.Promote Law - to boost your Judge or Private Attorney.

Skill Cheats

As usual, you can use the Stats.Set_Skill_Level cheat on Discover University's new skills. They are Research and Debate and the Robotics Skill . Both are extremely useful. In order to set your skill level use:

• Stats.Set_Skill_Level Major_Robotics # - replacing # with the level you want.
• Stats.set_Skill_level Major_ResearchDebate # also works.

Enroll in University

If you shift-click your Sim with testingcheats on you can access a sadly very empty University Debug Menu where you can click, 'Enroll in University' to be immediately taken to the enrollment screen.

Join or Leave University Organizations (Requires Mod)

You require All Cheats Mod in order to do this, but it is indeed possible to join University Organizations with a cheat. I luckikly invistigated and stumbled upon it. To do this, you need to use Sims.Get_Sim_ID_By_Name YourSimFirstName YourSimLastName - The ID will appear in the window. Now you can use cheats to join the organizations. If you're already in, this will toggle and kick you out.

You can copy/paste the first part of the code, then use the SimID in the cheat console. Just be very careful about typing this ID correctly. This is a more advanced cheat and must be done perfectly.

Rank Up University Organization Cheats (No Mod Needed)

Someone asked, and I did discover that it's possible to when already joined give Sims Organization rank ups by using a cheat. You use stats.set_stat RankedStatistic_CollegeOrganization_Progress_Debate 166 to set Debate guild to Rank 2 (166 is the break point), 333 for rank 3. For your copy/paste pleasure, I've listed them all out here. On Pc/Mac it's possible to join with a cheat if you use the AllCheats Mod (see above) but if you do not want to use a mod you can just ask a member - go to one of their meetings by using the organization events schedule at the kiosk.

Here are all organizations. Bear in mind which School you're in, as both have their own set of organizations and it may be unwise to use a code for the rival school. If you fail to follow instructions and join your Sim to a group this way (it doesn't show in the organizations panel) you may break your ability to join legitimately.

Spawn Crafting Supplies

I noticed that with TestingCheats On , when I shift-click the robotics table, it gives me the option to "Spawn Crafting Supplies". This will give you 50 of everything in the currently selected Sim's inventory. A very nice time saver if you're already cheating and don't want to have to spam building these to add a Servo or Fixer bot to your household.

University Cheats (Requires Mod)

There are a ton of cheats that can be used with TwistedMexi's All Cheats Mod . The commands all start with University. I'll list them below and what they appear to do for you. Some are just informative.

• University.Finish_Term - this one will instantly finish the term and allow you to sign up for another.
• University.Graduate - Instantly makes you a graduate with current or perfect GPA. I can't tell becuase my student is awesome.
• University.Accept_all_Degrees - This cheat allows you to join distinguished programs you're not qualified for.
• University.Award_all_Degrees - Gives your Sim every degree. It appears they are all non-distinguished, however.

Degree Cheats Without Mod

You can have every degree without mods if you feel like cheating them in!

Why is this last? Because it's extremely long. I'm going to list out how you can get a distinguished degree for every major in Discover University. If you want a regular one, you can switch up between BA/BS to get the normal variant from the other School.

Use Traits.Equip_Trait to add the degree to your Sim (they're simply traits, but have their own special slot on your Simology panel). Now, when you join a career, you'll get every bonus any graduate would get because the game simply looks to see the traits you have.

Here's a listing in order of degree type. Realize there are four for every degree, but you only need one. Every BA comes from Britechester, and every BS comes from Foxbury. For Arts schools (anything Britechester) the best degree is going to be a BA Honors while for tech and sciences the best will be BS Honors. This means you have a Bachelor's in Science and graduated with Honors.

Why am I listing them all? Because it's an easy copy paste and you may enjoy having the granular control over where you graduated. I'll make minor notes on a few of these to make sure it's understood. I'm making it so you can copy/paste these fairly easily and also including links to degree specifics .

Awesome! Are there cheats to enroll without waiting the several sim days for your acceptance letter? Will they be added here if so?

Also are there cheats for the secret society membership/levels? Do you know if you can join without being enrolled in uni / still be a member after graduation?

I just added in the cheats for those. They were a bit more time consuming to find, so I had to work on other things. I figured the joining might need a mod as there weren't any new commands for that, and it would appear I am right. You can, however, rank up with a cheat without mods and I've made those copy-pasteable in order to help people out with that.

yup! if you shift click your sim, a debug menu appears. press on university and then "enroll in university" and you'll enroll immediately without having to apply and wait a few days.

Is there a cheat to change a Sim back into a human, because the game literally just changed one of my existing Sims into a ROBOT

Are you asking this as a question or saying you can actually do it I can't tell lol I have a sim where I went through Language/Lit degree at UBrite and now want to try it again with the same sim and a group of premade roomates. They all have varying skills/points/jobs I want to get rid of. I tried your suggestion a bunch of times replacing Equip with Remove and it didn't work. I so wish there was a cheat to just wipe a sim clean of everything. Or that once you upload to gallery it wiped them clean and treated them as a template. I feel like the whole gallery concept is kind of whack if sims come with a ton of baggage when you just want to start fresh. We need to be able to use sims as template without being tied to their previous play history. I've spent most of today googling how to remove this and that. Sorry had to rant lol

NStella you should have a copy of your Sim in your Library as the game forces you to save any Sim you make before you can place them into the worlds.

If you have Get To Work make a clone of your sim using the cloning machine that came with the Active Scientist Career then you will have a copy of your sim with no skills. You can just save your played Sim to your Library, download them into a new game with another sim you quickly make to be your Scientist - cheat them to max career level and then buy the cloning machine. Clone your played Sim then save take the household into CAS delete the played sim and the scientist sim leaving the brand new clone and so save them, as a single sim household - and so now you have your blank-slate template Sim for any future games.

So, my sims graduated with their degrees and havce the Academic aspiration to complete. They both went to school to get into the educational career paths, but their aspiration goal of "Get a Job Using a Degree" is still not fulfilled, even though their degrees were for that specific career path. Thoughts? Suggestions?

I'd just use a cheat to complete the last aspiration requirement. Nothing more you can do unless you roll back to an earlier save and replay.

Hi can you please help me so my sim is part of the brainiacs organization and my sim is unable for some reason to complete visit office hours. I visited office hours more than once and the task just wont complete and i tried your honor society rank cheat and nothing is working. My sim is stuck as a stupid new member of brainiacs and his almost done with his course.

Made a whoops and moved my Sim into a new home right after attending graduation. She has her degree in her inventory, but she doesn't have the trait from her Physics degree and only starts at entry level in the engineering job. I can't reenroll her to get the degree because the game says she already has it. I tried using the cheat to equip the trait but it doesn't work. No typos (tried multiple times, copy/pasted), she's the only sim in the household, and testingcheats was on. Help!

I've found that when the degree cheats seems to not work that quitting and restarting your game can help or going and temporarily playing another family for a few minutes then going back to your main Sim and trying the cheat again seems to make it work.

If you put Stats.Set_Stat RankedStatistic_CollegeOrganization_Progress_Debate 777  you'll get Level 3 of Britechester Debate Organization (if Joined).

I’m having an issue where my sim’s partner moved in whilst studying a degree. When they move in, it says the degree is finished with no more classes to study (they have a B- every time this happens, for some reason) but the sim doesn’t seem to have graduated as they cannot enrol in university (even using the testingcheats shift+click to enrol them - it allows them to go through the process and takes their money, but no classes etc). I was hoping that I might be able to remove this using the equip/remove traits cheat but no joy. These sims are also unable to get the head start in their career as they don’t seem to have graduated. Is anyone else having this problem and does anyone have any tips for sorting it out?

There are many issues around merging and moving households while enrolled in uni. Sadly the only way to correct this might be to roll back to a previous save before your Sims moved in together.

Since you listed the non-cheat source of the bartender degree as ???, I figured I'd add the tiny bit of info I have on it in case it helps.

• It's actually a smaller certification instead of a full degree.
• I got it by taking the §250 skill classes in mixology over and over again. I found a few people saying they got it through electives (sometimes even ones not related to mixology, which is probably a bug) but I haven't been able to make that happen yet in my game, so I can't vouch for it.
• Unfortunately, I didn't write down the exact number of classes I took. I'd guess it was about 10 though.
• I maxed mixology a few classes before I got the certificate. Not sure if that's a requirement.
• All of this was when I wasn't enrolled in university any more.

No clue why they made this one degree completely different from the others and (as far as I know) didn't add anything in-game to let you know it even exists unless you stumble into it, but it definitely is attainable.

Hello, I’m having some issues with my presentation boards for the communications degree. I have two sims working on their degrees and living on campus at the same time. One is communications, one is art history. When I re-enrolled for a term the arts degree had this presentation board but the communications degree was missing 2 needed for courses. Does anyone know a mod free way to get these back? I feel like I’ve tried everything.

Sounds like this bug Presentation Board Missing Bug If you think it's the same add a 'Me Too' to the report. I'm not aware of any work-arounds so you might have to roll back to one of the older auto saves and hope they are before the bug occurred.

Sadly you've not told me any details that I can use to try to help. All the cheats are working for me as normal in my game so perhaps you have made some typos or are trying to use the particular University cheats that require a specific mod? Go back through the guide and see if you are needing a mod, if so the link for twistedmexis mod is also there in the guide for you. If you still can't get the cheats to work and need more help let me know which cheats in particular are not working for you and what you've tried to do to make them work.

Some of the cheats require this mod to work properly: TwistedMexi's All Cheats Mod. If you had read the accompanying text you would have seen the link for his mod. This is different from "testingcheats on".

I'm trying to use the cheat that unlocks distinguished degrees, and it doesn't seem to be working. I did turn on testingcheats. Is there a waiting period like when you apply to a university, or do you have to do it before applying? (I know there's no typos since I copied and pasted it right from the website).

Sometimes you have to load another household then go back to the original household for the degree to have registered after using the cheat. Or just use the cheat, save, quit and then reload your game. No idea why this cheat sometimes doesn't seem to register initially but after loading another household and then returning to your original Sim you cheated with...the degree will be there above their Traits UI.

This is 2 years late but incase it helps somebody else with the same question you can remove degrees with MCCC by just right clicking on the degree shown in the simology tab.

I feel like I'm the only one for whom it doesn't work. I got the mod it shows up but I have no clue if it does anything I wasn't missing any cheat and my university students are still stuck

This picture doesn't tell me what you are trying to cheat so I have no way to guess what to try to help you with. Your sim has a degree so something must have worked! If you are trying to cheat to change the degree in the picture you can't...once a sim has a degree you can't cheat to alter that gained degree. You can cheat on different degrees that your sim hasn't completed.

Most probably not or at the very best they will gain a very low score. So a C pass.

They might be in the debug buy menu. I haven't looked but I'd assume you'd find at least a generic one in there.

I'm not 100% sure which mod it is but I have UI cheat extension and

MC Command Center and when I hold shift and click on a sim and go to the university tab theres an option to 'add a diploma' that works.

To increase GPA:

Careers.promote university_courseslot_A

Repeat with B, C, D

Sim will graduate with A+ in every course.

If this cheat works it's going to mean a lot more fun times for my Sim while they are at uni

The enroll in university cheat WORKS ON CHILDREN AND TEENS! So it's totally possible to have little savants attending university so long as you also make sure they aren't enrolled in their normal schooling with the help of mods.

TEENS have full access to all university menus on the computer and in general, and their gameplay is indistinguishable from an adult sims options.

CHILDREN do not have access to the university menu on computers, so they cannot do things such as write a term paper, but they can still attend class and take exams. I do not know if they can make a presentation board.

I've been getting degree tracker LE's since doing Uni cheats with the mod. It just happens once and I can play the game without a problem. I've been told the only way to fix it is to either rollback my game or migrate all of my Sims and builds to another save file.

Have you heard of this happening and if so, do you know of any fixes for it besides the ones mentioned above?

You don't mention which mod you are using so it's hard to tell. Either way LE's can be ignored, if your game is running and performing as expected, in many cases. But if possible go to the modders site and report the LE to allow them the chance to fix the error in their code. I definitely would not quit a save just because of one random LE file that hasn't impacted your game play. I play with a lot of mods and apart from checking the LE here (click) I report it to the modder and just continue playing.

The Sims 4 Degree Cheats: How to Cheat a Degree in Sims 4 Discover University

Is your sim taking WAY too long to graduate from university? Let’s fix that! Here’s a helpful list of sims 4 degree cheats so you can quickly give your sim any type of university degree. I also show you some of my favorite mods for cheating degrees in Sims 4 Discover University!

Sims 4 Degree Cheats

To use sims 4 cheat codes, open up the cheat code box using CTRL + SHIFT + C and type in ‘testingcheats on’, then type in the degree cheat. To close the cheats console use CTRL + SHIFT + C again.

To cheat a university degree in sims 4, you’ll need to open up the cheat code box and enter in one of the degree cheats listed for each degree type.

You’ll see four cheat codes listed for each degree: regular degree , regular degree with honors , distinguished degree , and distinguished degree with honors .

You only need to enter in ONE of these cheat codes for each degree that you want your sim to have.

Quick Tip: In Sims 4, BA (Bachelor of Arts) is always from Britechester and BS (Bachelor of Science) is always from Foxbury.

However, you can enter multiple cheat codes to give your sims more than one degree, like if you want your sim to have both a Biology degree and an Economics degree.

Once you’ve entered in the cheat code, the degree will show up in your sim’s simology panel under the degree section .

If you find that these university cheats are not working, make sure you have testingcheats on, the sim you want to give a degree is active, and that the cheat code has been typed in correctly.

I highly suggest using copy & paste to put these cheat codes into your sims game to prevent any possible typos.

Sims 4 Art History Degree Cheat

Here are the answers to some of the most frequently asked questions regarding sims 4 university degree cheats such as: how to cheat a degree in sims 4, how to get an A+ in sims 4 university, the difference between degrees and distinguished degrees, and if your sim can have 2 degrees at a time.

Can I cheat to get a degree in Sims 4?

It’s super simple to cheat to get a degree in sims 4. All you need to do is open up the cheat box using CTRL + SHIFT + C , making sure testingcheats is on, then enter in the cheat code for the degree type you want to give your sim.

How do you get A+ in Sims 4 University?

If you want your sim to get an A+ in University, have your sim:

• attend all college classes
• during class, take notes and listen actively
• complete all homework (to make this easier, I use the faster homework mod !)
• email professors about progress using phone or computer to check on grade
• refine and organize all required presentations until excellent quality then give go give the presentation before the end of term
• write and edit all required term papers until excellent quality then submit them using the computer before the end of term
• study before the end of the term then attend final exams on-time

But if that’s too much work, you can also cheat an A+ grade in your sims 4 university classes by downloading the UI Cheats Extension mod , right-clicking on your sim’s class in the class schedule panel, and entering in 100 for their course grade.

This also allows you to see what your sim’s current grade is from 1 to 100, in case you were curious!

What’s the difference between degrees and distinguished degrees in Sims 4?

The biggest difference between regular degrees and distinguished degrees in sims 4 is that when your sim graduates with a distinguished degree, they will be offered a higher starting level in those careers and a higher starting bonus.

For example: If your sim has a distinguished degree in Biology from Foxbury, they can immediately start in the doctor career at level 7 instead of starting at level 6 with a regular degree from Britechester.

Each university, Foxbury and Britechester, has its specific distinguished degree programs that you’ll need to be accepted into to get the distinguished degree.

Britechester Distinguished Degrees:

• Art History
• Communications
• Culinary Arts
• Language & Literature

Foxbury Distinguished Degrees:

• Computer Science

The best degree you can possibly get in sims 4 is a distinguished degree with honors.

But don’t worry if your sim doesn’t get into the college of their choice, getting a regular degree with honors is almost just as good when it comes to starting job levels and bonuses!

Can a sim have 2 degrees?

Yes, your sim can have 2 degrees in sims 4 discover university.

You can actually give your sim as many degrees as you want by completing them one at a time, using degree cheats for each one, or using the ‘ give your sim every degree’ option with the MC Command Center mod.

Sims 4 Mods for Cheating a Degree

Mods make giving your sims a degree, even multiple degrees, SO much easier!

You don’t have to go through the hassle of writing out long cheat codes and accidentally including a typo that messes the whole thing up.

With the click of a button, you can give your sim a degree, cheat their grade, have them join a university organization, and even graduate early!

The mods I’m going to share with you are the best way to your cheat your degree in sims 4, but they’re also listed in my must-have mods for sims 4 post because they really are some of the best mods out there.

1. MC Command Center by Deaderpool

MC Command Center is an essential mod for the sims 4. It has TONS of features, so you’ll see it talked about it in most of my cheat posts . It makes it a lot easier to alter our sims through a series of menus instead of having to enter cheat codes.

For this post, we’ll be focusing on how to cheat a degree in Sims 4 MCCC and some of its other cool university cheats features.

First, click on your sim and find the ‘ MC Command Center ‘ option.

Once the menu pops up navigate to MC Cheats > Cheat Sim Info > Expansion Cheats > University Cheats .

To give your sim a degree, click on ‘ Award Specific Degree ‘.

This will bring up the options: Diploma, Honors Diploma, Prestige Diploma, & Honors/Prestige Diploma.

These are known in Sims 4 Discover University as: Degree, Degree with Honors, Distinguished Degree, & Distinguished Degree with Honors.

Pick the degree type you want then which subject you want your sim to have a degree in, like a fine art degree.

You can find your sim’s new degree listed under degrees in their Simology Panel!

Two other things you can do with MCCC University Cheats is Graduate Now , to have your sim graduate immediately from their current degree program with a perfect GPA, and Finish Term , to immediately finish the current school term your sim is working on.

You can also use the MCCC university cheats menu to have your sim join a university organization including the university’s secret society called The Order of Enchantment.

And once your sim is a part of an organization, they’ll get a new option in university cheats called ‘ Organization Cheats ‘ where you can cheat your sim’s organization rank!

And last, but certainly not least, you can give your sim every degree in the game by clicking on ‘ Award All Degrees ‘ in the University Cheats menu!

2. UI Cheats Extension

The next mod that you can use to cheat sims 4 university is the absolutely ESSENTIAL UI Cheats Extension mod.

To explain what this mod does in simplest terms, instead of having to type cheats codes into the cheats bar, you can visually click on things in the sims 4 UI (such as skills, needs, money, etc.) to alter them.

Here’s how you can do this for university:

Right-click on your sim’s degree program icon under class schedule to bring up a menu that will allow you to cheat your sim’s GPA to whatever you want it to be.

Do you want a brilliant, scholarly student with an A+ or an average class clown with a C? You now have the ability to easily, and quickly, create any type of sim you want!

You can also cheat your sim’s university course grade by right-clicking on one of their class icons.

This will bring up a menu that lets you change your sim’s class grade using a number scale of 1 to 100. Never fail a class again!

Finally, you can complete university tasks in a single click by simply right-clicking on them.

For example: right-click on ‘ Take Final Exam ‘ in your sim’s class schedule to immediately complete the final exam.

The same thing can be done to quickly complete university homework.

How to Do Homework in The Sims 4 — Pass Your Academics

In The Sims 4, you can experience the life you’ve always wanted. As long as that life includes completing homework for your child and / or teen sims. If you want to make doubly sure your offspring are on the fast-track for success, you’ll want to make triply sure they’re completing their weekly homework.

How to Do Homework in The Sims 4

So, you’re the proud parent of a little simlish bundle of joy … or two … or three . Each weekday — Monday to Friday — your child or teen sim will have homework after school. You’ll find it in their inventory, and if you select it from there, it will give you the option to complete the homework.

It is also an option to have an adult help them with their homework by clicking on the adult, selecting the child or teen sim, and then clicking on the HELP WITH HOMEWORK option. Either of these options will help to preserve their school performance and give them a wealth of knowledge and experience.

How do you do the homework cheats in the sims 4.

Players everywhere would like to know if there’s a cheat — or several — to make doing homework easier in The Sims 4: Discovery University expansion pack. If such cheats existed, they’d certainly make the process of sending your adult sims to higher learning a lot sim -pler. Well, we have good news! They do exist!

If you want to make this incredibly challenging expansion pack a bit easier, you’ll first need to enable the testingcheats true cheat . Access the cheats console by pressing CTRL + SHIFT + C on your PC or Mac. Input the string of text next to the cheat you’d like to activate, then press ENTER to activate it !

How do you take your final exam in The Sims 4?

If you have an adult sim taking university courses, you can have them take the final exam by attending the last day of class. It should be noted, however, that it appears a bug exists that prevents players from having their sim take the final exam. As of writing, no official source has confirmed nor denied this bug’s existence nor have they confirmed or denied that a patch fix has been implemented.

A Servo is a playable robot that serves a household in Sims 4 University. You can build one with the Robotics skill or get one from a cheat.

The Sims 4: How to do Homework

Homework in The Sims 4 is a necessary evil and a part of everyday life for most people IRL so it makes sense that it would be inside a life simulation game. From the time your sims turn into children until they’ve graduated University they are going to be doing homework and it will take up a significant part of their lives.

There are actually a few hacks you should know to get your sims to have more fun when doing homework, get it done quicker, and just generally finish it in a timely fashion that will make you a better sims player.

How to Do Homework for Children

When a sim’s kid returns from their long day at school they are going to have a little orange book inside of their inventory which is their homework. This should be completed before they attend school again which is usually the next day unless it’s the weekend.

You can get your sims to start doing their homework by clicking on the homework book in their inventory and choosing do homework . Your sims will find the nearest place to sit (even on the ground) to start working on their homework and will work until they are finished unless they are interrupted by low needs or an event trigger like a fire.

Any adult can come over to this sim while they are doing their homework and you can choose help with homework which will get the adult involved and sitting with the child and they will get their homework done much quicker.

There is even a system for sims kids (not teens) where if your kid gets all of the four children skills to level 3 they’ll have the option to breeze through homework instead of do homework and this will get the job done quicker.

Getting these skills all to level 7 will give them the option to dominate homework which will get it done even more quickly. This is a nice hack to really finish it without it being a huge part of their day.

Once a child has finished their homework, if they have a B or higher in school, they actually have the option to do extra credit after they’ve finished their regular homework. This is good for you if you want to get your sims to increase their school performance.

If you ever find your sims without a homework book in their inventory and you have no idea where it could be you can actually purchase these for one simoleon on any book case!

How to Do Homework for Teens

Homework works pretty much the same way for teens except their homework book is a nice blue colour instead of the orange that kids get. To get them to work on their homework you’ll get them to go into their inventory and click on it and choose do homework and they will start working on it.

They too have the option to have an adult sim to help with homework by getting that sim to click on them when they’ve started their homework and getting them to assist to make it go more quickly.

Once a teenager has a B in school they have the option to do extra credit after they’ve finished their regular homework. This will help them increase their school performance and get to an A as soon as possible.

Bonus Tip: Use the earbuds from The Sims 4: Fitness Stuff Pack when doing homework to keep your sims fun need up so they aren’t feeling tense when they’re done working on it.

School Projects

With The Sims 4: Parenthood there’s a pretty decent chance each week that your sims kids will come home with a school project that they can decide to complete for a boost to their grades. If they don’t complete it within a few days they may get a small decrease to their school grades but it’s not substantial.

These projects come home with your sims in their inventory and are rather easy to complete. They have the option to work on it either carefully or sloppily. Choosing sloppily will get the job done quicker, however, you won’t see a huge increase to their grades but you also won’t see a decrease.

The better option is to work carefully so your sims can improve their school grades. While they are working on these projects they’ll actually gain a skill depending on the type of homework they are working on. For sims kids they’ll be skills like mental, creativity, etc. but for teenagers it’ll be more specific like rocket science or painting .

One awesome thing is that you can get other sims to assist in the project up to 3 sims so you can get these projects done extremely quickly and if an adult sim who has a high skill in the project type assists it’ll go so quickly.

Working on these will also increase your sim’s kids’ responsibility character value which is awesome but failing to complete it will negativity impact this.

How to Do Homework in University

With the 2019 addition of The Sims 4: Discover University we have a whole new type of homework for your sims to have to work on. These homework books are going to be a black and white composite notebook that will appear in your sims inventory when they enroll in their first semester of university.

Each time your sim goes to a class they are going to need to do their homework before they attend that class if they want to get a good grade, meaning that if you’re taking multiple classes your sim will be needing to do homework multiple times per week.

To get this University homework done you’ll want to click on the homework book and choose which class’ homework you actually want to work on and get started. You don’t have to do it all in one sitting so you can start and stop as many times as you want.

An awesome detail about University homework is that if your sims have a high level of the research and debate skill they’ll actually breeze through their homework much more quickly. You can also add the study spot lot trait to your sim’s lot to make it easier.

Homework is something you can’t avoid if you want your sims to do well in school when they’re young, but there’s no need to stress about it. Sims grades won’t affect their later days work performance or the overall success in their life, so no worries if you don’t get it done. Happy Playing!

It do work!

Doing a 4 course in sims 4 is a real tedious chore. It will consume all your sims time and you won’t have time to do anything else. They did this way worse than sims 3 university.

There are a few tricks mind you! First of all you can be at home instead, makes it all much easier and you can(like mentioned above) add the “study spot” trait to your home.

The next trick is using the club! Make sure, if you go to the university, add everyone you see to your club. Focus on getting “Rally the Troops” perk. That will allow you to get back all your energy and other needs quickly whenever you want. There is no cooldown on this. It requires 500 points so it’s not bad at all. Just make sure the gathering is on at all times(which it should be since you most likely won’t be leaving the lot). The homework perk does not work for university.

EA could easily have fixed this by reducing the homework time from 2 hours to 1 hours imo. They made it too much of a chore. It’s a GAME after all.

But that’s the whole challenge bruh

Once you finish university, there are several careers that were created within Discover University in tandem with degrees. These careers, like others in The Sims 4, can be cheated for promotions.

Degree Cheats

With all the degree options in The Sims 4, there are naturally plenty of cheats to choose from when cheating a degree procurement. Keep in mind that distinguished degrees come from their corresponding university programs —for example, distinguished Computer Science degrees can only come from Foxbury, and distinguished Art History degrees can only come from Britechester.

How to Use Cheats in The Sims 4

Cheats are really simple to use in The Sims 4, and I've done it so many times without issue. All you need to know is how to achieve it, after which it's pretty easy to memorize. Follow these steps to enter any Sims 4 cheat code:

• Launch The Sims 4 and begin playing
• Type Ctrl+Shft+C on your PC or press all four triggers at once on your console controller
• A white text box in the top left will appear
• Type testingcheats true in the white box and press Enter
• From there, type in or copy/paste your cheat code into that same box
• Hit Enter again to finalize the cheat code's effect

Sims 4 university cheats 【degrees, careers & homework】.

Sims 4 is a video game launched in 2014. It has ten expansion packs now. Redwood Shores developed this game and Electronic Arts published it. It comes under life simulation games; which actually is a subgenre of simulation video games. You are in control of the lives of the player who you intend to be. The Discovery University is one of the expansion packs that was released on November 15, 2019.

This basically makes the Sims become a part of university life and get degrees. The universities added to the game are the Fox-bury University and the University of Britechester. It is said that this series is challenging and difficult. However, with the help of some cheats, the player can earn a degree. In order to make these cheats work, the player first needs to enable the  testing cheats true  on their computer/laptop/Mac first. The following guide will give you an overview of Sims 4 cheats.

Applying Sims 4 University Cheats on PC

• The game needs to be opened first. Then the player needs to press  CTRL + SHIFT + C  keys on their keyboard whilst opening the game. The cheat input dialogue box will appear on the screen. The player needs to enter the debugging codes in it.
• When the command-line interface is opened successfully, the player needs to type in the “testing cheats on.” After pressing the ENTER key on the keyboard, the cheats will be enabled in the player’s game.
• After completing these steps, the player needs to open the input dialogue box again and enter the cheat code that the player wants to work on. The cheat will work for the game.

Applying Sims 4 University Cheats on Mac

This process works exactly the same as that on PC with just a little alteration.

• Whilst playing the game, the player needs to enter the  COMMAND + SHIFT + C  on the keyboard. A cheat input box will appear on the player’s screen
• When the command-line interface is opened successfully, the player needs to type in the testing cheats. After pressing the ENTER key on the keyboard, the cheats will be enabled in the player’s game.
• The combination COMMAND + SHIFT +C needs to be pressed again. This will display the cheat input box and enable the player to enter their required cheats.

Applying Sims 4 University Cheats on Xbox One

These cheats can still be used on Xbox easily. The following procedure needs to be adopted for the cheats to work.

• While running the game on the console, the keys  LT, LB, RT, and RB  need to be pressed on the player’s controller. The cheat input box will be displayed simultaneously which will, in turn, help the player in activating the features of the cheats.
• The player now needs to type “testing cheats on” in order for the cheats to be enabled in the game. This will, in turn, again open the interface for the player to put the codes in it.

However, in Xbox, the achievements and trophies for the session will be disabled.

Applying Sims 4 University Cheats on PS4 and PS5

The following steps should be followed in order to apply the cheat codes on the players PS4 and PS5.

• While playing on the PS4 and PS5, the keys  L1, R1, L2, and R2  need to be pressed together in order to display the input dialogue box for cheats in the games.
• The player needs to type “testing cheats on” in the input dialogue box again in order to activate this feature in their game.
• Again, the input dialogue box needs to be opened so that the desired codes can be typed again.

In order to get enrolled in university, the player needs to SHIFT-CLICK its Sim along with testing cheats on. The University Debug Menu will be available for access. The Sims 4 Discover University: Guide to Academic Success

Getting into university is one thing; excelling in university is quite another. For most people, the joys of university lie in balancing work with pleasure. A little studying here, a little partying there, leading to an overall well-rounded university experience.

This guide is not for the casual university student. This guide will walk you through how to throw yourself completely into your education in order to achieve the best grades (and the best future) possible. Throw away your juice kegs and break out those textbooks because school is all you’re going to know for the next three terms.

Class Selections

Of course, it all starts with enrolling and selecting your degree and classes. No matter which degree you pursue, you’ll have to select up to 4 classes per term. Classes change every term so you’ll see new ones available every time you select your classes at the start of term. You can’t change which classes you’ll be taking for your degree; you can only choose the number of classes.

However, Sims have the option of enrolling in 1 elective each term. Electives are fun classes that focus on skills outside of your degree and you will be able to select which elective your Sim will take that term. There are all kinds of electives that span a wide variety of skills. Electives are fully integrated across all packs, so depending on which add-on content you have installed, you may see different electives for skills from different packs.

Electives are optional; your Sim doesn’t need to take any electives at all, but if they do choose to take an elective, they can only take up to 3 other classes. Sims are limited to 4 classes per term in total, so either 4 classes, or 3 classes and 1 elective.

Our recommendation? Take 3 classes and 1 elective every term for maximum academic success. Electives still count as credits towards your degree so taking an elective doesn’t hurt your progress at all, plus your Sim will graduate with a few extra skills thanks to the electives they took.

One term last 5 working days. There is no way to shorten or lengthen a term. They are fixed periods. Sims can begin a new term anytime during the week, but weekends don’t count as term days. If your Sim starts a new term on a Friday, the term won’t end until Thursday the following week. Starting a new term in the middle of the week can be a good academic strategy for dedicated students because it will give them the weekend to catch up on homework and final assignments.

How many terms your Sim needs to complete in order to graduate is entirely dependent on how many classes they decide to take per term. A Sim needs to earn 12 credits in order to graduate.

Here is the breakdown of how many terms your Sim will need to complete based upon their classes:

• 4 classes per term = 3 terms (15 working days)
• 3 classes per term = 4 terms (20 working days)
• 2 classes per term = 6 terms (30 working days)
• 1 class per term = 12 terms (60 working days)

These calculations are based on the assumption that your Sim completes the same number of classes every term. It is possible to take a different number of classes each term (4 classes one term, 2 the next term, for example), in which case the number of terms needed to graduate will vary.

Even if a Sim only takes 3 terms to graduate, they will still spend the majority of their young adult life in university; however, unlike past Sims games, your Sims are not trapped on campus with no way to work or live a life outside of university. Sims can live wherever they want, have a job, and raise a family while going to school, so this balances things out. If the length of university is not ideal for your play style, we recommend turning aging off in the game options while your Sim is in university. That way, they don’t lose any time to climb a career ladder or pursue other life goals.

Of course, you will want to be taking 4 classes every term for maximum efficiency. Sims who don’t mind sacrificing their social life and plan to devote all their time to their studies should take a full course load every term.

Attending Classes

It’s important to actually attend class in order to get the most out of your university education. Missing class will hurt your grades. Sims in the area will autonomously try to get to class a little early. Sims who’ve arrived to class early will wait outside the building with the other early bird students. This can be a good time to get some last minute homework finished or to quickly finish the rest of that coffee and snack you purchased to-go at the cafe vendor.

While your Sim is inside the classroom rabbithole, they will have various options available to them by clicking on their portrait, much like the different work options for inactive careers. Click the class icon on the Sim’s portrait to see the various actions they can take in class. Sims can Actively Listen, Take Notes, Sleep in Class, or Chat with Friends. To get the most out of every class, make sure your Sim is taking notes or actively listening. I’m sure we don’t need to tell you that sleeping in class and chatting with friends are not good ways to improve your grades.

If you’re taking a full course load, it’s likely that your Sim will have more than one class in a day, or even back to back classes. Make sure to check the career panel often to keep track of your class schedule so you can budget your time for homework, finals, and self-care effectively.

Ideally, you will want your Sim to attend every single class with all of their homework completed and taking an active role in the class while they are there. This will ensure your Sim gets the most out of their classes and, in turn, gets the best grades at the end of term.

Every course your Sim takes has homework due before every class. When your Sim enrolls in university, they are automatically given a homework notebook in their personal inventory. Sims can complete homework for all their classes using this notebook. Homework takes some time to complete, but Sims with high enough Research & Debate skill complete homework faster.

Sims who stay on top of their homework and pay attention in class will get more out of attending classes and it will have a positive impact on their final grade. Always complete homework before every class and actively pay attention in class for maximum academic success.

In addition to homework that must be completed on a regular basis throughout the term, each class also has a final. Finals are very important and worth a large chunk of your grade. Skipping out on your finals will have a big negative impact on your final grade, so make sure you complete all of them.

Each class will have different requirements for its final. Some classes will require your Sim to write a term paper. Others have final exams and presentations. Look at your class schedule in the career panel to see what’s required of each class.

Exams take place during the last class of the term. If your Sim has done all their homework and attended all their classes, they’re likely to do well on their exam, but Sims can also study for a class using a course book purchased from the university kiosk, a computer, or research station to boost their chances of doing well on their exam.

Don’t miss your final exam! Failing to write the exam results in a big fat zero and will seriously hurt your final grade!

PSST! You can also cheat on your exam by selecting the option on your Sim’s portrait while they’re in the exam… but you would never do that… would you? Getting caught has serious consequences.

Term Papers

Term papers can be written on the computer under the University menu option. A Sim can write and submit a term paper for a class at any point during the term, so dedicated Sims might want to get these out of the way early.

Term papers take a long time to complete, but Sims with high enough Research & Debate skill complete term papers faster. The first draft of a term paper is usually poor quality. Your Sim can submit poor quality term papers, but f they want the best grade, they should spend some time editing their paper before they submit it.

Term papers can be edited until they are outstanding quality. You’ll receive a notification telling you that your term paper won’t benefit from any further editing once your Sim has increased its quality to outstanding. Scrolling over the term paper option in the computer’s menu will tell you the quality of the term paper.

When your Sim is satisfied with the quality of their paper, they can submit it using the computer.

PSST! You can also plagiarize your term papers by selecting the plagiarize option on the computer… but you would never do that… would you? Getting caught has serious consequences.

Presentations

Your Sim will receive a presentation board in their personal inventory at the start of term for any classes that have a presentation requirement as their final. Presentations function similar to term papers; your Sim will need to compile all of their material on the board, then refine the presentation board until it’s suitable to present in class.

To start, drag the presentation board out of your Sim’s inventory and into the world somewhere, then choose the Capture Information option on the board. Your Sim will spend some time compiling all their material for their presentation onto the board. When they’ve finished, they will have a poor quality presentation board. You can see the board’s quality by hovering over it.

Sims can improve the quality of their presentation by refining and organizing it, and asking other Sims for feedback on their presentation. They can also practice their presentation. Practicing presentations builds the Charisma skill. Once the board cannot be improved any further, you will receive a notification informing you that your Sim’s presentation board looks great and that continuing to fiddle with it won’t improve it any more.

When your Sim is satisfied with the quality of their presentation, they can go to class with the presentation board in their inventory and present it. Presentations do not take place during regular classes; your Sim must click on the class rabbithole and select the presentation option. Presentations can only be given during the day. Your Sim won’t be able to present in the middle of the night.

Final Grades & Starting a New Term

If your Sim has done all their homework, attended every class as an active participant, and completed all their finals with outstanding quality, they should have no trouble getting an A+ grade in every class. However, perfect grades don’t come easy. You’ll find that your Sim has little to no time for extracurricular activities, organizations, or socialising when they are taking 4 classes and trying to achieve an A+ grade in every single one of them. University is definitely a rewarding challenge in The Sims 4 , just like in the real world.

Since grades aren’t given out until the end of term, it’s up to your Sim to take a proactive approach to finding out how they’re doing in their classes. They can visit their professors during their office hours or email them on the computer to get an idea of how they’re performing in their classes and how they can improve.

Once all coursework has been submitted, your Sim will be free to enjoy themselves (for once) while their final grades are being processed. Once the final grades are in, you’ll receive a popup with all your final grades for each class, as well as your overall GPA.

From there, you can choose to enroll in another term right away, or take some time off before starting a new term. If your Sim has any scholarships, they must enroll in a new term immediately or they will lose their scholarships. Tuition costs for the new term will be handled at this point as well. Sims can pay with household funds or take out a loan to pay any tuition costs for the new term that scholarships don’t cover.

Your Sim will also be given the opportunity to make different housing arrangements at the start of each new term. They can choose to stay wherever they are currently living, or move somewhere else. This change does not happen right away. Your Sim will have about a day left in their old residence, which gives them an opportunity to pack up any personal items they may have purchased for their living space. A small “Packing Up” event will occur a couple hours before the move to remind your Sim to gather up their things, too.

As long as your Sim continues on the path to success they started in their first term, all their future terms are bound to result in perfect A+ grades across the board. Keep doing that homework, working on those finals, and paying attention in class!

If you’re wondering how to do homework, Sims 4 is way easier and more fun than real life! One of the unique aspects of Sims 4 is how it mimics real-world experiences, including raising Sim children and boosting your Sim’s school performance. Understanding how to help with homework is challenging, especially with the complex updates since previous Sims games.

Below, we discuss everything you need to know about homework in the Sims 4 universe!

What You Need To Know About Homework in the Sims Universe

Homework is nothing new to the Sims franchise. The game capitalizes on real-world chores, like doing the dishes, parenting children, paying bills, going to work, and juggling each life stage. The homework system evolved throughout Sims 2 and 3 to reach the level it’s at now, which we discuss in more detail below.

Kids Must Go to School

The game requires all child Sims to attend school. In previous games, you could choose the type of grade school your children and teens attended, though now public school is your only option. Fortunately, you can influence their mood and social life during the school day by helping them make decisions about social dilemmas.

For example, you might receive a notification about another child Sim cheating on a test or bullying the younger Sims. Parenting your Sim through these scenarios directly impacts their personality.

Adults Can Choose To Attend University

Young adult Sims can choose to further their education by attending a university. You can pick between two schools with the Discover University Expansion pack. Before attending, your Sims must apply, as real university students would.

The two university options, the University of Britechester or the Foxbury Institute of Technology, will analyze your Sim’s skills and grades before offering an acceptance or denial letter. You can also apply for scholarships and loans to help finance your Sim’s education. Once they attend school, they can choose a different degree like literature, electronic arts, science, technology, etc.

Every adult Sim attending a university must complete homework, just like the child Sims do, though they usually spend less time each day in class. University students must balance term papers, daily homework, extra credit, and exams while attending classes. Helping your older Sim stay on track with their university homework prevents them from failing the semester.

You Don’t Need to Worry About School Transportation

You’ll notice that Sims 4 doesn’t have a school bus or any other transportation system to get your child or teen Sims to school. Luckily, you don’t need to worry about walking them or watching them arrive. In Sims 4, all students automatically teleport to the necessary classroom at the appropriate times.

Locating Homework Gets Complicated

Keeping track of all the homework in the Sims 4 universe isn’t easy. Each student’s age group receives different homework books, so it’s important to keep them organized. The following key outlines each Sim’s homework book color by age:

• Children: Yellow Grade School Handbook and orange homework book
• Teen’s homework: Blue homework book
• Adults: Black and white book (found in the Sims inventory)

You can purchase books and copies if your Sim loses the original version. We also recommend getting a bookcase to organize all homework books in your house. Adult students can purchase books and homework from the University Kiosk.

How To Do Homework: Sims 4

Now that you understand how homework functions, let’s discuss how to help your Sims family dominate homework. School work is a necessary evil in the game because Sims’ grades suffer when they skip homework or turn in incomplete homework.

Completing Homework for Sims 4 Kids

When your child Sim comes home from school, they’ll bring an orange book in their backpack with all their homework. You must have them complete homework before the next school day. Follow these instructions:

• Open the Sim’s inventory for your younger Sims.
• Click “Do homework.”
• Aid them with any needs as they work.
• Send an adult Sim to help with the child’s homework.
• Click “help with homework” from the adult Sim’s inventory.
• Increase child “skills” levels to complete homework faster (like the research and debate skill).
• Once finished, have the Sim complete extra credit to boost homework grades.

Note that whenever you leave a Sim to do homework, they will continue working until finished unless they need something. Keep an eye on event triggers and low needs to ensure that your Sim child or teen continues working hard.

Helping Sim Teens Dominate Homework

Teenaged Sims complete regular homework just like the younger Sims. Once they’re home from school, open up the inventory menu and select the option to work on class homework. You can make one of your other Sims offer homework help to complete the process more quickly by following the same instructions above.

If your teen Sim has a B in the class, they can choose to do extra credit as well to boost their grades. Helping your teen Sim get an A improves their odds of getting accepted into a university.

We also recommend getting earbuds from the Fitness Stuff Pack to let your teens listen to music while they do homework. Sometimes grueling school hours can decrease fun levels, but music helps keep energy high.

Completing School Projects

Aside from regular homework, sometimes your family members bring home school projects. In Sims 4: Parenthood, you’ll likely see a school project at least once weekly.

Unlike homework, projects are semi-optional. If your Sim completes the work, their grade goes up, but if they don’t finish it in a few days, their grade will only go down a small amount.

You can have your Sims complete projects just as they do homework. The new homework project appears in the inventory, where you can prompt your Sim to begin working on it. You have two options to choose from when they do homework for a school project:

• Sloppy : Letting your Sim do homework sloppily completes the project faster, though it offers smaller grade increases.
• Careful : When Sims work carefully on a project, they boost their grades more and gain certain skills, depending on the project type. Child Sims might gain creativity or building skills while teens can acquire more specific ones like painting or rocket science skills.

To make the homework project fly by, you can have up to three Sims work on it together, including adults. We recommend assigning an adult with more advanced skills to help move things along. Once completed, any child Sims will receive improved responsibility character value scores.

Completing Adult Sim University Work

If you sign up for the University Expansion, you have the fun opportunity of sending your adult Sims to college. University homework is more advanced since it requires your Sims to do homework for multiple classes at once. Rather than doing one homework assignment daily, each Sim might need to complete two or three to prepare for classes the next day.

When you’re ready to have your Sim do homework, click on the specific homework book for the class you want them to work on. Remember, university books are black and white. After selecting the appropriate class, your Sim can work on their homework for as long as you choose.

Adult Sims with strong research and debate skill levels enjoy rapid homework completion rates. We recommend helping your Sims improve their debate skills to finish homework quickly.

Tips for Finishing Homework Faster

Balancing homework with other life stresses is challenging in Sims 4. If you want to help your Sims finish their homework quickly and easily, use these tips:

• Help your Sims increase their logic skill level.
• Work on skills related to their major or classes.
• Dedicate a space in the house for homework with calming decorations.
• Keep your dorm room locked from others while your Sims study.
• Increase your Sims’ research and debate skills.
• Take your Sim to the library if their roommate throws a party.
• Apply for Study Spot lot traits.
• Boost child skill levels so they can finish homework quickly.
• Consider downloading mods to help you fly through homework smoothly.

The interactions that a child has in The Sims 4 have increased quite a bit since the early days of the game when the toddler phase wasn't even a part of the game. There are also two versions of the mod: low pay rates for authenticity or high pay rates if players want their kids to bring in big bucks.

Teens and Children Can Cash In On Allowance

To get kids used to money management, some families might put into place an allowance system. This is also possible in The Sims 4 thanks to this Allowance mod . Players can have the household family kids receive a weekly allowance of a specific amount.

Better yet, the allowance will be dependent on how well the child is doing at school and if they're showing good behavior. The allowance is stored in a separate money account, which further increases immersion for this mod.

Those playing a legacy might like the idea of sending their household children out for the weekend to visit grandparents for instance.
