How to Add a Speech or Thought Bubble to a Photo or Video

A picture is worth a thousand words, but sometimes, adding words to a picture adds context or humor that would otherwise be missed. A thought bubble or speech bubble is a bubble of text ascribed to a certain individual in the scene that derives from comic books.

You can use a thought bubble to show what someone is really thinking, without them having to verbalize it in video or having to use captions.

Here’s how to add a speech or thought bubble to your photo or video in 3 steps:

• Choose your photo/video
• Add your speech/thought bubble(s)

Step 1: Choose your photo/video

Upload your content to Kapwing’s Video Collage Creator .

Using the resize tool, change your photo or video dimensions as desired. 1:1 format is best for Instagram. 9:16 is portrait mode dimensions. 16:9 is the standard landscape mode dimensions. There are also special dimensions for social media available, or create your own custom dimensions!

Step 2: Add your speech/thought bubble(s)

There's many different ways to add a speech bubble inside of the Kapwing Studio:

• Image Search : Go to the "Images" tool in the main toolbar and search for “speech bubble” or “thought bubble” to find those images. Make sure the image is transparent or use the " Erase " tool to remove the background from the sticker. You can also add the keywords “transparent,” “png,” or “svg” to find more transparent images.
• Emoji : Add a speech or thought emoji by clicking "Images" and the "Emoji" tab. Kapwing has the full library of Apple iOS emojis built in. Then, scroll down to find the thought bubble emoji and add it to your picture or video.
• Upload : Find a speech bubble PNG that you want to use on Google Image search or anywhere else online and upload that file to Kapwing. You can also copy/paste the image from your clipboard.
• Shapes : Kapwing has a speech bubble shape in the "Shapes" tab. You can add the speech bubble and change the fill and outline color.

After you add the speech or thought bubble, click on your image overlay to resize and position it on the image or video.

Once you are happy with your bubble, click “Add Text” to add its contents. Add anything or everything you are thinking or feeling to your image. Then, style and resize the text so that it fits within the speech bubble.

If you are adding bubbles to a video, check out the timeline feature in the bottom panel to time your bubbles to appear and disappear as the video plays. You can use the "Timeline" button in the main toolbar. In the example below, I added a speech bubble for a short part of the video using Timeline.

Step 3: Finish and share

Once you are happy with your image or video, click Export in the top corner of the screen. After a few moments of processing, Kapwing will return the file that you can save to your computer or phone. Download or share the Kapwing link with your friends!

Morgan took to her account on Monday, June 3, where she posted a Reel of her singing "a new one" of her songs with an acoustic guitar. "Moth to a flame," Morgan added in the caption.

Kyle appeared on  The Bitch Bible   podcast on May 14 where she addressed all of the rumors currently surrounding their friendship and reiterated that she is  just friends  with Morgan. Remorseless Highland rapist who brutalised women jailed for 10 years

A judge told told Lewis Forbes: "You accept no responsibility, you show no insight and you express no remorse."

A violent rapist who carried out a campaign of abuse and assault against two women was jailed for 10 years today.

Lewis Forbes subjected his victims to repeated brutality at addresses in the Highlands during which he throttled both women, one of whom was the victim of a life-threatening attack.

A judge told Forbes, 34, at the High Court in Edinburgh: “You have been convicted of an appalling catalogue of sexual, physical and psychological abuse against two women.”

Judge Michael O’Grady KC said the rapist had controlled his victims through a regime of fear and humiliation.

He said that Forbes’ actions spoke “volumes of your cruelty and contempt” not only for them but for women in general.

The judge said a background report prepared on Forbes was in his view both “revealing and disturbing”.

He added: “You accept no responsibility, you show no insight and you express no remorse.”

Woman throttled

He ordered that Forbes, a prisoner, should be monitored for a further three-year period in the community when he can be returned to jail if he breaches the terms of his licence.

Forbes had earlier denied a series of charges during a trial at the High Court in Inverness but was convicted of seven offences, including rape, assault and abusive conduct.

One woman was the target for his abuse between October 2020 and October the following year at addresses in Inverness and a location in Dornoch.

She was struck on the head and body, dragged along the ground and subjected to threats of violence and that Forbes would kill her.

Forbes also grabbed her by the neck and compressed her throat to the danger of her life in an attack.

He also stopped her seeing and communicating with friends and family and dictated what she could wear. He also repeatedly sexually assaulted the woman and subjected her to rapes.

During one rape committed against the woman at a holiday park he gripped her by the neck, repeatedly hit her on the head and threatened to kill her.

Held second victim’s head under water

The second victim was also subjected to repeated abuse by Forbes in May and June in 2022 at addresses in Tain, in Ross-shire.

Forbes monitored her movements, refused to give her privacy to dress or bathe and stopped her getting medical aid when she was injured.

He also punched and kicked her on the head and body, repeatedly grabbed her by the neck and applied pressure to restrict her breathing and on one occasion held her head under water.

He also raped the victim after pushing her, resulting in her hitting her head off a counter, restraining her and throttling her.

Defence counsel Mark Stewart KC said Forbes had maintained his innocence at trial and continued to maintain his innocence.

He said that although Forbes has a criminal record it was not for similar types of offending, but was largely road traffic offences.

Forbes was earlier put on the sex offenders’ register .

Aberfeldy shooting: Murder suspect granted bail after second court appearance

Ex-gamekeeper David Campbell is accused of killing Brian Low, 65, as he walked his dog along a country lane near Aberfeldy in February.

Murder accused David Campbell has been granted bail following a second appearance in court.

The 75-year-old former head gamekeeper is accused of killing retired groundsman Brian Low as he walked his dog along a country lane near Aberfeldy in February.

Campbell made no plea when he returned to the dock during a private appearance at Perth Sheriff Court on Tuesday.

He first appeared on petition at Dundee last week, following his arrest on Friday, May 24.

Campbell was granted bail after the full committal hearing, following a successful application by his solicitor David Holmes.

However, the decision by Sheriff Clair McLachlan is now subject to an appeal by the crown.

Campbell will stay remanded until the appeal is determined.

Allegation of murder

Campbell, of Crieff Road, Aberfeldy , is accused of murdering Mr Low by shooting him in the head and body with a shotgun.

Prosecutors say it happened on a place called Leafy Lane, near the Pitillie track, on February 16.

It is alleged that Campbell killed Mr Low, 65, having previously shown ill-will and malice towards him.

Campbell is further accused of attempting to defeat the ends of justice between February 16 and May 24 by hiding the alleged murder weapon.

Police probe

Mr Low’s body was discovered on farm track in Pitilie on February 17, the day after he was allegedly murdered.

His death was originally thought to have been related to a medical matter.

But a post mortem on February 23 revealed he had been fatally shot.

A wide-ranging police investigation has seen officers visit 500 homes and trawl through 2,400 hours of CCTV footage.

There was increased activity following Campbell’s arrest last month, with teams of officers spotted at three sites in the Aberfeldy area.

Mr Low died three days short of his 66th birthday.

He retired last year after working as a groundsman on the 4,000-acre Edradynate Estate for more than two decades.
