Don't hire these scammers!

The resume that I paid $200 for looked like it was written by someone who spoke English as a second language. The grammar was atrocious, and the word choice was awkward and artificial. I was offered a rewrite instead of a refund. I passed on this "generous" offer. If they can't spot their own egregious errors than they shouldn't be trusted with a rewrite. You should give their resumes to sixth graders so they can have an example of what bad writing looks like.

Resume Writing Group does not ask enough questions to even begin to make a good resume let alone a federal resume. We have exchanged several emails and they never asked me what I did, they only used my old resume and reworded it. When I asked about the money back guarantee, I was told I would have to provide proof via fax receipt. Then they suggested for me to purchase another resume from them. I know everyone is very stressed during 2020 and we really want to help but we do require our customers to do a bit more than sending their resume to one federal job posting and then request a refund. During our 18+ years of professional experience writing top-notch resumes for the federal government, we have worked tirelessly to ensure every client gets the best resume. While helping this client create her new resume, we asked her a series of detailed questions about her past employment, education, target objective, and other information to build a strong resume. When we didn't receive all the information that was needed to build a top-quality resume, we put in the extra effort to reach out to the client directly for a second time and let her know what we still needed. We enabled the client to send us five separate documents, which we compiled into an exceptional federal resume that met all federal government standards and was targeted to the client's objective. Upon receiving the new resume, the client was able to communicate directly with her writer about any revisions she needed. Our senior writer made the requested revisions promptly. At no point did the client let her writer know that anything was inadequate or faulty with the resume. After multiple attempts to obtain additional information from the client, she refused to provide additional information and wanted us to use her existing documents. Due to our commitment to customer service, when we learned the client was dissatisfied with her resume, we reached out to her by phone on several occasions to determine what we could do to improve the situation. The client refused to work with us on making changes to the resume or any other offers and insisted that we simply refund her money. As is stated in our guarantee, clients must provide proof that they have actually applied to positions. This client refused to provide proof that she had applied to any positions, so she was not eligible for a refund. Do more research before spending with these services

The chat feature doesn't have friendly responses, but they are quick to take your money without asking if you are satisfied with the service. I paid for a resume and a cover letter and they sent me both without separating the documents. Who does that? Why would I have to copy and paste to separate when I paid for the service? In the response, there was a part left out where he said that he told me 3 times that he would get the files separate or I could just copy and paste them to another program. Do your own research.

Bar None this is the WORST Resume Service I have ever received in over 25 years. You put all out on line you never or very seldom answer an email. I asked on earlier to get answers by email and you have refused to do that. Also you refuse to speak to your clients so that a properly resume can be prepared. Great design work, writing & problem resolution

I chose this company after reviewing carefully their website information. They are the only company to offer a guarantee with their resumes and they are mid-line in cost. The were very prompt delivering a beautifully designed and powerfully authored resume. Although there were some snafu's, they directly and quickly resolved them. All communications must be made through email. That was a little frustrating but my issues were resolved within about one hour of submitting my first review. I will be making future referrals to them and using them in the future.

Absolutely amazing.

I never thought that paying someone to do my resume would actually pay off so after many struggles of looking for a job I decided to go with these guys. I ordered it on 5/22/23. Got it my resume and cover letter within a few days. I'm starting a new job 6/12/23. Sometimes people believe that your resume is good enough. I have used resume writing companies…

I have used resume writing companies before but this is by far the best one. My writer was very professional and concise in revising my resume and creating a cover letter that I am extremely pleased with. She kept the lines of communication open and answered my questions quickly. The turn around time is amazing. Admittedly, I was a bit surprised and hesitant at the cost of a revision and cover letter, but I am very glad I did it! It was money well spent! Do your research before make a decision

The resume writer never ask me questions at all to start writing my resume. They never asked me what is my goal, what type of job I'm looking to apply, they only used my old resume and reworded it. As a result, it is not a thoughtful resume, it's just a reworded from existing one. When I purchased the service, the refund policy that I saw only said that if I didn't get hired within 40 days, they will refund. In fact when I asked them for a refund, they sent me a set of long requirements (I include it below) that is never shown to me before. The following is their refund requirements (that is emailed to me after I request for a refund): "Please remember that our offer and revision is valid, as per our terms of sale, if the following conditions are met: 1. You are UNEMPLOYED and are not currently paying ANY state, province or Federal taxes. (Working in ANY position--even if it's one you held prior to receiving your new resume -- voids our offer). 2. You provide verifiable certified mail and/or fax receipts for at least 40 resume mailings/faxes submitted over the course of the FIRST?45 DAYS of receipt of resume WITHIN no later than 90 DAYS from receipt of your resume as stated in the guarantee terms. 3. At our discretion, an investigator may request additional information". See that? They required so many steps in order for you to get refund. in other words, they not really want to give you a refund. My recommendation is: Stay away with this company if you don't want to be disappointed.

After researching many resume writing services, I selected the Resume Writing Group. I was pleased when I received an email from my writer Lori the same day. I had no resume at all, so I sent a list of 47 skills. The first draft looked very professional. However, I wanted additional skills and expected Lori to read my mind. Please save yourself the time

Please save yourself the time, energy and money. While attempting to be kind, and hold courtesy for the resume writer as the website indicates. I did not find all my information was loaded within the way that was necessary, the format for the type of resume that I specifically was asking for assistance with came back in a document that was not ATS driven but my master resume copy and pasted with specific information pasted in. The cover letter was helpful. The engagement team that is apart of the organization that I am working is reviewing resume; I am not sure if by asking for the resume to be reworked once if the resume may be refunded. However, at this point I am not satisfied with what I purchased. Please save your time, and potentially money. ‐--------- Based off of the response below, I'd like to clarify a few things. The resume was updated once. I have had it revised 8 times myself. I have received no new emails despite reaching out numerous times. I have only received a notice from trust pilot. I do not trust resumewritinggroup.com based upon these practices.

We were disappointed to read this customer's review given that we went out of our way to help her with her Federal Government resume project and provided a significantly improved resume for her. The customer has only had her resume for two weeks, our money-back guarantee stipulates you have to try getting hired for at least 45 days because Federal agencies are required to review applications for a minimum of 30 days before making a decision about who to hire. We have followed up with the client and advised her that she needs to give it the minimum amount of time before requesting a refund. We were also surprised to read this review because the customer reached out to our team and specifically told us how much she liked the new resume and approved the final draft, so we do not understand why she is no longer satisfied. If there is something the customer wants changed, we offer free unlimited revisions for 30 days, so she is welcome to reach out to us anytime and request a change if there is something she doesn't like... I personally took the time, along with one of my senior writers, to compare the resume we wrote to the customer's original resume; not only did our team fix over 50 separate grammatical errors, we also fixed issues with styling, formatting, missing keywords, and improper sentence structure. The errors we fixed on the customer's original resume included incorrect use of tense, missing punctuation, incorrect capitalization, fragmented sentences, incorrect conjugation, run-on sentences, and passive sentence construction. Based on our extraordinarily thorough writing process, we were able to make improvements to the customer's resume that will help her every time she applies for a position. I'm not sure how we could provide better service than offering to make changes for free, repeatedly following up with the customer (even outside of normal business hours and on weekends), and asking multiple times what we can do to help.

Please save yourself the time

Please save yourself the time, energy and money. While attempting to be kind, and hold courtesy for the resume writer as the website indicates. I did not find all my information was loaded within the way that was necessary, the format for the type of resume that I specifically was asking for assistance with came back in a document that was not ATS driven but my master resume copy and pasted with specific information pasted in. The cover letter was helpful. The engagement team that is apart of the organization that I am working is reviewing resume; I am not sure if by asking for the resume to be reworked once if the resume may be refunded. However, at this point I am not satisfied with what I purchased. Please save your time, and potentially money. ‐--------- Based off of the response below, I'd like to clarify a few things. The resume was updated once. I have had it revised 8 times myself. I have received no new emails despite reaching out numerous times. I have only received a notice from trust pilot. We were disappointed to read this customer's review given that we went out of our way to help her with her Federal Government resume project and provided a significantly improved resume for her. The customer has only had her resume for two weeks, our money-back guarantee stipulates you have to try getting hired for at least 45 days because Federal agencies are required to review applications for a minimum of 30 days before making a decision about who to hire. We have followed up with the client and advised her that she needs to give it the minimum amount of time before requesting a refund. We were also surprised to read this review because the customer reached out to our team and specifically told us how much she liked the new resume and approved the final draft, so we do not understand why she is no longer satisfied. If there is something the customer wants changed, we offer free unlimited revisions for 30 days, so she is welcome to reach out to us anytime and request a change if there is something she doesn't like... I personally took the time, along with one of my senior writers, to compare the resume we wrote to the customer's original resume; not only did our team fix over 50 separate grammatical errors, we also fixed issues with styling, formatting, missing keywords, and improper sentence structure. The errors we fixed on the customer's original resume included incorrect use of tense, missing punctuation, incorrect capitalization, fragmented sentences, incorrect conjugation, run-on sentences, and passive sentence construction. Based on our extraordinarily thorough writing process, we were able to make improvements to the customer's resume that will help her every time she applies for a position. Again, if there is something the customer doesn't like, she is welcome to reach out for a free revision anytime. ----- Copy and paste of an email we sent to the client 20 days ago advising her she could ask for revisions at any time: "Hi Tori, We're happy to make adjustments for you at no additional cost. Thank you. I am sorry and I appreciate you all and your hard work V/r T Cleveland" ----- We have now sent the customer another email advising her that she is welcome to ask for changes and letting her know she does need to wait at least 45 days for our guarantee. I'm not sure how we could provide better service than offering to make changes for free, repeatedly following up with the customer (even outside of normal business hours and on weekends), and asking multiple times what we can do to help.
