• Biological anthropology : This is the study of humans as living organisms. For example, a biological anthropologist might choose to study how diseases affect specific communities or how a culture views and handles pregnancy and childbirth.
• Linguistic anthropology : This is the study of language in culture. As a linguistic anthropologist, you’ll look into the history of a language, research how it’s changed, and see how language may play a role in specific cultural and historical interactions.

What is it Like Being an Anthropology Major?

Students of anthropology should have or be open to developing a curiosity about people, an interest in problem-solving, and an interest in languages.
