Dreambox is an adaptive math program that is being used in the Beaverton School District by K-8 students during the school day and as homework as well. Dreambox constantly collects data from students and provides them with lessons, hints, and pacing to best match each child as an individual learner. The tool is visually interesting and engages students in concept based tasks. It is important that students DO NOT use paper/pencil so that the program can collect data about how the child solves the problems. Having the volume up or using headphones is also necessary.
This tool is supported by the district’s math department and was adopted by the School Board for K-5. All students in grades K-8 in our district have access to this tool all year long, including summer access . Dreambox works best on a computer or iPad with the free app.

Click on Students, select “Apps for Students”
Click the Dreambox icon
Use child’s google email/password to login
Option 2: (For students who do not know their Google email or password)
Using the SCHOOL SPECIFIC Dreambox url address (Click here to see list of schools)
Enter the Dreambox username and password (students using picture passwords need a class code from their teacher)
Option 3: (For students who used Clever Badges for logging in at school)

Create an Assignment. Step 1: Select Home in the Top Navigation Pane and then click Add Assignment. Step 2: After the Assignments page opens, choose the parameters of the new assignment.. Choose a Short-Term or Long-Term assignment by clicking the circle. Click the Assignment Duration drop-down menu and select the number of weeks students have to complete the assignment.
A: The Assignments function honors student agency by continuing to present other concepts for the student to complete. Just as a student can choose not to complete homework, a student can choose to not complete a DreamBox assignment. This is critical to building strong decision-making principles for the student.
A starred calendar icon indicates the lesson is part of a short-term DreamBox Math assignment. If a student isn't seeing a short-term assignment in their lesson path but they do see a backpack, they should click the backpack to collect the incentive item, and the lesson path will refresh to show the assigned lesson.
DreamBox Assignments for students. Assigned lessons appear on the student's lesson chooser page with a blue assignment icon, depending on the type of assignment (short or long term). The Assignments tool enables educators to give students up to two short or long-term assignments at a time from across all DreamBox Math content at any grade level. Educators can personalize assignments by aligning them with state or regional standards, DreamBox Learning Units, aligned print programs, or students' NWEA or Quantile assessment scores.
