A Florida school asked second-graders to submit a photo of themselves in a bathtub doing reading homework — and then kicked out one student whose parents complained.

Misty and Christopher Dunham reached out to their daughter McKenzie’s teacher at Victory Christian Academy in Jacksonville to ask “what the intentions are” for the homework assignment, Action News Jax said .

The response of the 8-year-old’s teacher was not up to snuff.

“She did send out a message saying, ‘you should be in pajamas, be in your uniform, have fun with it.’ But, it didn’t sit right,” Misty Dunham reportedly said.

“A bathtub is not appropriate for a child to take a picture.”

Misty Dunham then escalated the situation to the administration of Victory Christian Academy when she was told “we have been sending this homework assignment for years, and you’re the only one complaining about it. Just cover your child in pillows or pajamas,” according to a police report filed by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

Pastor Jesse Latta, the president of Victory Christian Academy, defended the school in a statement, writing that the assignment “was taken out of an online teacher resource and has been used in many schools.”

Misty and Christopher Dunham accuse Victory Christian Academy of retaliating against them by removing McKenzie from the school without any rationale. Misty Dunham said that after the complaint, the school requested a parental withdrawal and when she and her husband refused, it went forward with an administrative withdrawal.

“She did something right by telling Mom and Dad that she wasn’t comfortable with something, and now she’s no longer in school,” Christopher Dunham said.

While Latta refused to confirm or deny whether the school forced Dunham’s daughter to leave, he said the school does not plan on repeating the assignment next school year.

“While the assignment was completely innocent, out of an abundance of caution and for there to be no misunderstandings, our administration has removed this particular assignment for any future use,” Latta said. “We value our children and their safety is our top priority. We will continue to serve the children and families in which the Lord has graciously allowed us to have a part in their lives.”

Parents: Florida 2nd grader instructed to ‘send picture doing reading homework in bathtub’

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The parents of a Florida second-grader said their child was withdrawn from school after they questioned an assignment in which their daughter was instructed to “send a picture of you doing reading homework in the bathtub.”

Misty Dunham and her husband Christopher, of Jacksonville, said they were surprised when students at Victory Christian Academy received the request among other assignments, which included practicing “Psalm 24: 1-2 with an adult” three times, reading “Fun With Friends,” and practicing spelling, arithmetic and phonics ahead of future tests, WJAX-TV reported.

“A bathtub is not appropriate for a child to take a picture,” Dunham told the television station.

Dunham said she emailed her 8-year-old’s teacher for clarification.

“I emailed the teacher, ‘Hey, you may want to explain that. Send something out to the parents. Let them know what the intentions are.’ This just does not sound OK,” Dunham told WJAX . “She did send out a message saying, ‘You should be in pajamas, be in your uniform, have fun with it.’ But, it didn’t sit right.”

Dunham said that she contacted school administrators and the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office to document the incident.

A police report obtained by WJAX stated that the Dunhams were told by administrators, “We have been sending this homework assignment for years, and you’re the only one complaining about it.”

Police advised the parents not to take the photo, according to the television station.

Later, the Dunhams said they received a call from Victory Christian Academy.

“(He said), ‘I think you guys should do a parental withdrawal for the child.’ I said, ‘I can’t. I can’t do that. We refuse to withdraw her,” Dunham told WJAX . “He said, ‘OK thank you for saying that,’ and continued on saying that ‘Well, we’re going to proceed with an administration withdraw.’”

Documentation from the school indicates the Dunhams’ daughter is no longer a student at Victory Christian Academy.

“No explanation,” Dunham told WJAX .

“She did something right by telling mom and dad that she wasn’t comfortable with something, and now she’s no longer in school,” the girl’s father, Christopher Dunham, told the television station.

In a statement to WJAX , Pastor Jesse Latta, the president of Victory Christian Academy, said there were “no bad intentions” with the assignment and it has been removed from the curriculum.

“There was an assignment given, as I understand you have received a copy. It was taken out of an online teacher resource and has been used in many schools,” Latta wrote. “There were certainly no bad intentions with this assignment. When a parent contacted our teacher with a complaint, our teacher immediately sent out correspondence to all parents in the class to assure them that there were no bad intentions with this assignment and to clarify the guidelines. No additional concerns were presented to the teacher.

“While the assignment was completely innocent, out of an abundance of caution and for there to be no misunderstandings, our administration has removed this particular assignment for any future use,” Latta added. “We value our children and their safety is our top priority. We will continue to serve the children and families in which the Lord has graciously allowed us to have a part in their lives.”

Latta did not address the student’s withdrawal from the school, WJAX reported.

A homework assignment at a school in Florida required students to take a picture of themselves in the bathtub.

And when parents of one of the students questioned this assignment , their child was removed from the school.

KIRO 7 Now reports how Misty and Christopher Dunham of Jacksonville were very much taken aback when they noticed part of their eight-year-old daughter’s homework asked her to “send a picture of you doing reading homework in the bathtub.”

“I emailed the teacher, ‘Hey, you may want to explain that. Send something out to the parents. Let them know what the intentions are,’” tells Mist to WJAX-TV . “This just does not sound okay.

“She did send out a message saying, ‘You should be in pajamas, be in your uniform, have fun with it.’ But it didn’t sit right.”

According to Local 12 News , Misty received a response from school administrators which said, “We have been sending this homework assignment for years and you’re the only one complaining about it.” She additionally contacted the police, who advised her and her husband not to submit the picture.

A short time later, someone from the school called the Dunhams suggesting they withdraw their daughter.

“’I think you guys should do a parental withdraw for McKenzie,’’ details Misty of the call. “And I said, ‘I can’t. I can’t do that. We refuse to withdraw her.’

“He said, ‘Okay, thank you for saying that’ and continued on saying that ‘Well, we’re going to proceed with an administration withdraw.’”

The same WJAX-TV report confirms the Dunhams’ daughter was later informed she was no longer a student at Victory Christian Academy without, according to Misty, any explanation.

“She did something right by telling mom and dad that she wasn’t comfortable with something, and now she’s no longer in school,” says Christopher.

Whether the Dunhams intend to take action against the school remains undisclosed.

2nd grader kicked out of school after parents' outrage over bathtub picture assignment

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (TND) — After her parents refused to comply with a homework assignment that asked students to "send picture of you doing reading homework in bathtub," a second grader in Florida has been reportedly removed from her school.

The girl attended Victory Christian Academy in Florida, according to WJAX News , and her parents were "shocked" to see the question written on their 8-year-old's homework.

A bathtub is not appropriate for a child to take a picture," Misty Dunham, the child's mother, reportedly said. "I emailed the teacher ‘Hey, you may want to explain that. Send something out to the parents. Let them know what the intentions are.’ This just does not sound OK.

According to Dunham, the teacher complied and sent out a message, but the assignment still didn't "sit right" with the young girl's parents.

She did send out a message saying, ‘you should be in pajamas, be in your uniform, have fun with it.’ But, it didn’t sit right," Dunham told WJAX News.

The Dunhams then reportedly reached out to the school's administration and their local police. The school told the concerned parents that "we have been sending this homework assignment for years, and you’re the only one complaining about it," according to MEAWW News , which added that police advised the parents not to take a photo of their child in a bathtub and send it to the school as the assignment requested.

The young girl's parents filed a report with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office following their interactions with the school. Later, a school administrator reportedly contacted the family and suggested they withdraw their daughter from the school.

I said, ‘I can’t. I can’t do that. We refuse to withdraw her,’” Dunham recounted to WJAX News. “He said, ‘OK thank you for saying that,’ and continued on saying that, ‘Well, we’re going to proceed with an administration withdraw.’”

As a result, the 8-year-old girl is now no longer enrolled at Victory Christian Academy, according to MEAWW News. Her parents are reportedly upset at the lack of explanation for the school's decision to kick their daughter out.

She did something right by telling mom and dad that she wasn’t comfortable with something, and now she’s no longer in school," Christopher Dunham, the young girl's father, told WJAX News.

President of the school and pastor of Victory Baptist Church Jesse Latta said in a statement to WJAX News that the assignment has been "removed from future use," but he reportedly did not comment on the student's withdraw from the school.

When a parent contacted our teacher with a complaint, our teacher immediately sent out correspondence to all parents in the class to assure them that there were no bad intentions with this assignment and to clarify the guidelines," Latta reportedly said. "No additional concerns were presented to the teacher."
While the assignment was completely innocent, out of an abundance of caution and for there to be no misunderstandings, our administration has removed this particular assignment for any future use," Latta continued in his statement. "We value our children and their safety is our top priority. We will continue to serve the children and families in which the Lord has graciously allowed us to have a part in their lives."

The Dunham family reportedly believes the school kicking out their daughter "sends the wrong message," according to WJAX News.

The National Desk reached out to Victory Christian Academy seeking comment, but did not hear back before publication.

Student Told To Send Picture Of Herself Doing Homework In Bathtub: Parents

Girl doing homework

A Florida couple was shocked to see their 8-year-old child's homework assignment allegedly asking her to "send a picture of you doing reading homework in the bathtub," according to WJXT .

The schoolwork was assigned to second-graders attending Victory Christian Academy in Jacksonville, and Misty and Christopher Durham had questions for the school.

"A bathtub is not appropriate for a child to take a picture," the mother told reporters. “I emailed the teacher ‘Hey, you may want to explain that. Send something out to the parents. Let them know what the intentions are.’ This just does not sound okay ."

Durham then reached out to the school administration about the incident and later reported it to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office. According to a police report obtained by WJXT , administrators told parents, "We have been sending this homework assignment for years, and you’re the only one complaining about it." Authorities advised the couple not to take the picture. Then, the school allegedly called them.

Durham says administrators recommended they do a parental withdrawal for their daughter, which the mother refused to do.

"He said, ‘OK thank you for saying that,’ and continued on saying that, ‘Well, we’re going to proceed with an administration withdraw,'" Durham recalled. Reporters confirmed through records that the couple's child is no longer a student at the school.

Neither the couple nor reporters got an explanation for why the student was removed.

“She did something right by telling mom and dad that she wasn’t comfortable with something, and now she’s no longer in school,” the parent continued.

Pastor Jesse Latta , president of Victory Christian Academy, sent WJXT a statement about the situation:

“There was an assignment given, as I understand you have received a copy. It was taken out of an online teacher resource and has been used in many schools. There were certainly no bad intentions with this assignment. When a parent contacted our teacher with a complaint, our teacher immediately sent out correspondence to all parents in the class to assure them that there were no bad intentions with this assignment and to clarify the guidelines. Florida Parents Object to Homework Assignment for a Photo of 2nd Grader Doing Homework in the Bathtub

florida school bathtub assignment

A second-grader at a Florida Christian academy was “administratively withdrawn” from the school after her parents questioned a homework assignment that requested “a picture of you doing reading homework in the bathtub.”

The student’s mother, Misty Dunham, promptly sent a message to her daughter’s teacher at Victory Christian Academy in Jacksonville.

“I emailed the teacher ‘Hey, you may want to explain that. Send something out to the parents. Let them know what the intentions are.’ This just does not sound OK,” Dunham told WJAX . “She did send out a message saying, ‘You should be in pajamas, be in your uniform, have fun with it.’ But, it didn’t sit right.”

It didn’t sit right, so Dunham filed a report with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. The report, obtained by WJAX, said school administrators told the Dunhams, “We have been sending this homework assignment for years, and you’re the only one complaining about it.”

Dunham said a school administrator later called.

“(He said) ‘I think you guys should do a parental withdrawal for the child.’ I said, ‘I can’t. I can’t do that. We refuse to withdraw her,’” she said. “He said, ‘OK thank you for saying that,’ and continued on saying that, ‘Well, we’re going to proceed with an administration withdraw.’”

And just like that, the Dunhams’ daughter is no longer enrolled at Victory Christian Academy, a ministry of Victory Baptist Church. The parents told WJAX they got no explanation.

“She did something right by telling mom and dad that she wasn’t comfortable with something, and now she’s no longer in school,” said dad Christopher Dunham. He also said that he told his daughter while she was reading her homework assignment to him that she was not going to do that part of the assignment.

Jesse Latta, the pastor of Victory Baptist Church and president of the school, told WJAX in a statement that the assignment “was taken out of an online teacher resource and has been used in many schools.”

“When a parent contacted our teacher with a complaint, our teacher immediately sent out correspondence to all parents in the class to assure them that there were no bad intentions with this assignment and to clarify the guidelines,” Latta wrote. “No additional concerns were presented to the teacher.

“While the assignment was completely innocent, out of an abundance of caution and for there to be no misunderstandings, our administration has removed this particular assignment for any future use. We value our children and their safety is our top priority. We will continue to serve the children and families in which the Lord has graciously allowed us to have a part in their lives.”

Latta did not explain the “administrative withdrawal” of the student.

8-year-old expelled from school for refusing assignment instructing her to send a photo of her from the bathtub

youtube screenshot- kicked out of school

CBS Miami/Youtube

She spoke up and now she's out of school. What's the takeaway here?

By Diva Anwari September 30, 2022

Homework assignments seem to be taking a turn into bizarro world. Parents are not only trying to keep up with new standards in schools, new ways of doing the same old things (does anyone actually understand common core?) but now they also have to deal with homework assignments that would raise anybody’s eyebrows.

Related: ‘Girls Who Code’ books now banned in schools thanks to conservative moms organization

An 8-year-old little girl at Victory Christian Academy in Jacksonville, Florida, brought home her homework packet like any other day. Except this week’s contained a rather strange assignment: “send a picture of you doing reading homework in the bathtub.”

It’s no surprise that this looked out of place, especially when it was amongst other assignments, which included things like practicing “Psalm 24: 1-2 with an adult” three times.

The smart-beyond-her-years 2nd grader showed it to her parents, who also felt that something wasn’t right. So, Misty Dunham and her husband Christopher, did what any other parent might have done—they contacted the teacher.

“I emailed the teacher, ‘Hey, you may want to explain that. Send something out to the parents. Let them know what the intentions are.’ This just does not sound OK,” Dunham told  WJAX-TV . “She did send out a message saying, ‘You should be in pajamas, be in your uniform, have fun with it.’ But it didn’t sit right.”

Related: Mom shares teacher’s powerful message in viral TikTok: ‘I don’t see their milestones, I see who they are’

Misty Dunham also documented the incident by reporting it to the local Sheriff’s department and contacting school administrators.

WJAX reported that the police advised the Dunhams to not follow through with the assignment.

The school administrators reportedly replied with, “We have been sending this homework assignment for years, and you’re the only one complaining about it.”

But that’s not all.

The Dunhams also received a call from Victory Christian Academy.

“(He said), ‘I think you guys should do a parental withdrawal for the child.’ I said, ‘I can’t. I can’t do that. We refuse to withdraw her,” Misty Dunham told  WJAX . “He said, ‘OK thank you for saying that,’ and continued on saying that ‘Well, we’re going to proceed with an administration withdraw.’”

Related: Going back to school is stressful, but this kid-friendly toolkit can help

Current school documents reflect this and show that the Dunham’s daughter is no longer a student at Victory Christian Academy.

The president of the the school, Pastor Jesse Latta, also sent a statement to  WJAX , where he said there were “no bad intentions” with the homework assignment and it has since been removed from the curriculum.

It’s unfortunate that this little girl was, for all intents and purposes, punished by being kicked out school, and yet, the only thing she did was do the right thing by going to her parents when she felt something off.

As her father put so aptly, “She did something right by telling mom and dad that she wasn’t comfortable with something, and now she’s no longer in school.”

FL school 'expels' second-grader after parents object to assignment asking for pic of her doing homework in bathtub

JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA: A second grader was "administratively withdrawn” from a school after her parents raised concerns about a homework assignment that asked students to take "a picture of you doing reading homework in the bathtub.”

Misty and Christopher Dunham, of Jacksonville, recalled their surprise when students at Victory Christian Academy received the homework among other assignments , which included practicing “Psalm 24: 1-2 with an adult” three times, reading “Fun With Friends,” as well as practicing spelling, arithmetic, and phonics ahead of future tests. However, the unusual request to take a bathroom snap prompted Misty to send a message to her daughter's teacher at the Jacksonville school.

“I emailed the teacher ‘Hey, you may want to explain that. Send something out to the parents. Let them know what the intentions are.’ This just does not sound OK,” she told WJAX . “She did send out a message saying, ‘You should be in pajamas, be in your uniform, have fun with it.’ But, it didn’t sit right.”

Misty subsequently filed a report with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, stating how school administrators told the Dunhams, "We have been sending this homework assignment for years, and you’re the only one complaining about it.” The embattled mother said a school administrator later called. “(He said) ‘I think you guys should do a parental withdrawal for the child.’ I said, ‘I can’t. I can’t do that. We refuse to withdraw her,’” she recounted. “He said, ‘OK thank you for saying that,’ and continued on saying that, ‘Well, we’re going to proceed with an administration withdraw.’”

Now, their daughter is no longer enrolled at Victory Christian Academy, a ministry of Victory Baptist Church. The parents bemoaned that they did not get any explanation for the drastic move. “She did something right by telling mom and dad that she wasn’t comfortable with something, and now she’s no longer in school,” Christopher told WJAX, noting how he instructed his daughter that she was not going to do that part of the assignment.

Christian school wants photos of 8-year-olds 'in bathtub' — fights dirty when parents object

'we have been sending this homework assignment for years, and you’re the only one complaining about it'.

An 8-year-old student at Victory Christian Academy in Jacksonville, Florida, was "administratively withdrawn" from school after her parents objected to a homework assignment instructing second-graders to “send picture of you doing reading homework in bathtub,” reported parents Misty and Christopher Dunham.

Christopher told CBS-47 that he and his wife were shocked when their 8-year-old said she needed to send a picture of herself in the bathtub doing her reading homework to her second-grade teacher.

"I emailed the teacher [to say] 'Hey, you may want to explain that. Send something out to the parents. Let them know what the intentions are.' This just does not sound OK," Misty explained.

Though the teacher responded by adding that students could "be in pajamas, be in your uniform, have fun with it," something about the assignment still "didn’t sit right," Misty explained. So she reached out to the school administrators, who claimed that “we have been sending this homework assignment for years, and you’re the only one complaining about it."

Soon after, a school administrator called to encourage the Dunhams to "do a parental withdrawal for the child." When Misty refused to withdraw her daughter, the administrator said the school was "going to proceed with an administration withdraw."

CBS-47 reported that school documentation indicates that the Dunhams' daughter is "no longer a student at Victory Christian Academy."

"Just because they say it's a Christian academy doesn't mean that it is," Marsden warned. "You don't do this ... the internet is forever. You take a picture like that, it's out there forever.

School Expels Second Grader Who Was Told To Bring in a Picture of Herself in the Bathtub

florida school bathtub assignment

A second grader was expelled from a Christian school in Jacksonville, Florida, after her parents questioned a homework assignment asking students to submit photos of themselves reading in a bathtub. Misty and Christopher Dunham were surprised with the homework their daughter's teacher assigned students at Victory Christian Academy.

The couple didn't feel comfortable with their daughter, McKenzie, being asked to submit the controversial assignment. “A bathtub is not appropriate for a child to take a picture,” Misty told Action News Jax.

The parents contacted the teacher about their daughter's assignment.

Misty reached out to the teacher to learn more about the class assignment. “I emailed the teacher ‘Hey, you may want to explain that. Send something out to the parents. Let them know what the intentions are.’ This just does not sound OK,” Misty told Action News Jax.

“She did send out a message saying, ‘you should be in pajamas, be in your uniform, have fun with it.’ But, it didn’t sit right.”

Misty also contacted school administration about the incident, stating that they "have been sending this homework assignment for years, and you’re the only one complaining about it," according to a police report from the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

A school administrator suggested withdrawing the student from the school.

The Dunham family continued seeking answers about the class assignment, and they received a phone call from an administrator at the school.

“[He said] ‘I think you guys should do a parental withdrawal for the child.’ I said, ‘I can’t. I can’t do that. We refuse to withdraw her,’” Misty explained to Local 12 . “He said, ‘OK thank you for saying that,’ and continued on saying that, ‘Well, we’re going to proceed with an administration withdraw.’”

Victory Christian Academy responded to the parents concerns by sending out a letter regarding their daughter's status with the institution.

The found out the second grader was no longer a student at Victory Christian Academy.

According to Action News Jax, the letter stated that McKenzie was no longer a student at Victor Christian Academy. The girl's parents were ultimately surprised the school did not explain why she was removed.

“No explanation,” Misty said. The Dunham family believed the school should have handled the situation better instead of kicking their daughter out of school.

“She did something right by telling mom and dad that she wasn’t comfortable with something, and now she’s no longer in school,” Christopher said.

The school president released a statement following the incident.

Victory Christian Academy's president, Pastor Jesse Latta, released a statement addressing the Dunham's concerns and the class assignment.

The statement reads: “There was an assignment given, as I understand you have received a copy. No additional concerns were presented to the teacher. We value our children and their safety is our top priority. We will continue to serve the children and families in which the Lord has graciously allowed us to have a part in their lives.”

2nd grader kicked out of Christian school after parents refused to photograph her in the bathtub

lawsuit, parents, schools, transgender, children,

In Jacksonville, FL, a second-grader was expelled from a Christian day school after her parents refused to take a picture of her in a bathtub.

School officials at Victory Christian Academy told the 8 year-old’s mother, Misty Dunham, that since she declined to take the photo of her daughter, part of a homework assignment that included instructions to “send picture of you doing reading homework in bathtub,” the child would be subject to “an administration withdraw.”

The story started when the child brought home a homework assignment sheet that included practicing psalms with an adult, reading pages from a “Fun with Friends” text, spelling and arithmetic exercises, and No. 2 for Tuesday, “send picture of you doing reading homework in bathtub.”

Mom Misty Dunham and her husband Christopher were shocked at the request.

“I emailed the teacher,” Misty Dunham told Action News Jax , “‘Hey, you may want to explain that. Send something out to the parents. Let them know what the intentions are.’ This just does not sound OK.”

“She did send out a message,” Dunham recalled, “saying, ‘you should be in pajamas, be in your uniform, have fun with it.’ But, it didn’t sit right.”

Misty Dunham sent the homework sheet back, initialing all of the assignments with a note for Tuesday’s instructions: “So, McKenzie will not be taking pictures in the bathtub. We do not condone taking pictures in the bathroom.”

The 2nd grader’s teacher, Irene Castaneda, emailed Dunham explaining, “We have been sending this homework assignment home for years, and you’re the only one complaining about it. Just cover your child in pillows or pajamas then.”

Dunham said she spoke with other parents about the request and was met with the same solution: “’Just cover your child up with something.’”

After the Dunhams reached out to school administrators and didn’t receive a satisfactory response, they turned to the local sheriff and filed a report. An officer advised them to not complete the assignment.

Days later, the school did finally reach out: An administrator urged the parents to remove their daughter from the school.

The school official told Misty Dunham, “‘I think you guys should do a parental withdrawal for the child.’ I said, ‘I can’t. I can’t do that. We refuse to withdraw her.’ He said, ‘OK thank you for saying that,’ and continued on saying that, ‘Well, we’re going to proceed with an administration withdraw.’”

The Dunham’s daughter was expelled.

After news reports exposed the bathtub homework and fallout, Victory Christian removed the assignment from the school’s second grade curriculum, with an explanation from Pastor Jesse Latta:

“While the assignment was completely innocent, out of an abundance of caution and for there to be no misunderstandings, our administration has removed this particular assignment for any future use. We value our children and their safety is our top priority. We will continue to serve the children and families in which the Lord has graciously allowed us to have a part in their lives.”

Report: Student removed from school after refusing to do controversial assignment

by WJAX/CBS Newspath

(WJAX/CBS Newspath)

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (WJAX/CBS Newspath/WKRC) - Misty and Christopher Dunham were shocked to see their 8-year-old's homework assignment.

"She proceeded to read to me that she needed to do her reading homework in the bathtub and send a picture of her doing it," said Christopher Dunham. "And specifically told her to stop, you will not."

Parents are supposed to sign off on the homework, but the Dunhams noted that their daughter would not be taking part in that activity.

"Emailed the teacher, 'Hey you may want to explain this send something out to the parents let them know what the intentions are, this just does not sound okay,'" said Misty Dunham. "She did send the message saying you should be in pajamas, be in your uniform, have fun with it. But it didn't sit right."

Misty Dunham reached out to the school administration and later to police to document the incident. The report says the parents were told by administrators "we have been sending this homework assignment for years and you're the only one complaining about it."

Police advised the parents not to take the photo. Later, the Dunham family says they got a call from the school.

"I think you guys should do a parental withdraw for McKenzie," said Misty Dunham. "And I said,' I can't. I can't do that. We refuse to withdraw her.' He said, 'Ok thank you for saying that' and continued on saying that, 'Well, we're going to proceed with an administration withdraw.'"

The Dunham family picked up paperwork, indicating their daughter is no longer a student at Victory Christian Academy.

"No explanation," said Misty Dunham.

The Dunhams believe this sends the wrong message in two ways.

"A bathtub is not appropriate for a child to take a picture," said Misty Dunham.

"She did some thing right by telling mom and dad that she wasn't comfortable with something and now she's no longer in school over it," said Christopher Dunham.
