பல வருட காலமாக சினிமாவில் இருந்ததற்கான அடையாளமாக முதிர்ச்சியான நடிப்பை முருகதாஸ் வெளிப்படுத்தி இருந்தாலும் சில இடங்களில் அவர் திணறுவதை மறுக்க முடியவில்லை

ஆடுகளம் முருகதாஸ், பக்ஸ், ஃப்ராங்க்ளின், பிரதிக்ஷா ஆகியோரது நடிப்பில் வருகிற மார்ச் 17 ஆம் தேதி வெளியாக உள்ள திரைப்படம் ‘ராஜா மகள்’. இந்த படத்தை இயக்குநர் ஹென்றி இயக்கியிருக்கிறார். இசையமைப்பாளராக ஷங்கர் ரங்கராஜன் பணியாற்றி இருக்கிறார்.

மொபைல் பழுது பார்க்கும் கடை வைத்து வாழ்க்கை நடத்தி வரும் சுந்தரத்தின் ஒரே மகள் பிரதிக்ஷா. கடை விட்டால் மகள், மகள் விட்டால் கடை என மகளின் மீது அன்பை பொழிந்து வளர்க்கிறான் சுந்தரம். 

அப்பா எதைக்கேட்டாலும் வாங்கித்தருவார் என்று நினைப்பில் இருக்கும் பிரதிஷாவிற்கு பள்ளிநண்பனின் வாயிலாக சொந்த வீட்டில் தங்க வேண்டும் என்ற ஆசை துளிர்விடுகிறது. அதை எதேச்சையாக அப்பாவிடம் சொல்ல சுந்தரமும் அதற்கென்ன வாங்கி விடலாம் என நம்பிக்கை அளித்து விடுகிறார்.

காலப்போக்கில் மகள் அதனை மறந்து விடுவாள் என்று சுந்தரம் நினைக்க, அதற்கு நேர்மாறாக சம்பவங்கள் அரங்கேறுகின்றன. இறுதியில் சுந்தரம் சொந்த வீடு வாங்கினானா? மகளின் ஆசை என்ன ஆனது? உள்ளிட்ட கேள்விகளுக்கான பதிலே படத்தின் மீதிக்கதை!

படத்தில் ஆடுகளம் முருகதாஸ்தான் கதாநாயகன் என்றாலும் , படத்தை உண்மையில் தாங்கி நிற்பது என்னவோ பேபி பிரதிஷாதான். அவ்வளவு சுட்டி. அப்பாவுடன் பாசத்தை பொழிவது, சகமாணவனின் பணக்கார வாழ்க்கையை பார்த்து தாழ்வுமனப்பான்மையில் குறுகிப்போவது, வீடு வாங்க வேண்டுமென பிடிவாதமாக இருப்பது என பல இடங்களில் நடிப்பில் வாவ் சொல்ல வைக்கிறார்.

நிச்சயம் நல்ல எதிர்காலம் இருக்கு குழந்தாய். சுந்தரமாக முருகதாஸ். பல வருட காலமாக சினிமாவில் இருந்ததற்கான அடையாளமாக முதிர்ச்சியான நடிப்பு அவரிடத்தில் இருந்து வெளிப்பட்டாலும் சில இடங்களில் அவர் திணறுவதை மறுக்க முடியவில்லை. 

இவரது மனைவி வசந்தியாக வரும் ஃப்ராங்க்ளின் கொடுத்த கதாபாத்திரத்திற்கு நியாயம் செய்திருக்கிறார். சுந்தரத்தின் நண்பனாக பக்ஸ். சில காட்சிகள்தான் என்றாலும் மனதில் நின்று விடுகிறார்.

இயக்குநர் ஹென்றி மிகவும் சிம்பிளான கதையை எழுதி போராடிக்காமல் திரைக்கதை அமைத்து இருக்கிறார். பல இடங்களில் கிளிஷேவான காட்சிகள் இருந்தாலும் கூட, அவை அனைத்தும் பிரதிஷாவின் சுட்டித்தனமான நடிப்பு மறக்கடிக்க செய்து விடுகிறது.

கிளைமேக்சில் சுந்தரம் எடுக்கப்போகும் முடிவு என்ன என்பதை ரசிகர்கள் ஆர்வமாக எதிர்பார்த்து காத்துக்கொண்டிருக்க, இயக்குநர் சொல்ல நினைத்து வைத்திருக்கும் முடிவு அவ்வளவு திருப்திகரமானதாக இல்லை. 

ஒன்று அதில் இன்னும் கொஞ்சம் ட்ராமாவை புகுத்தி இருக்க வேண்டும். இல்லை வேறுவகையான முடிவை யோசித்து இருக்க வேண்டும். அதை ஒன்றைத்தவிர படம் நிச்சயம் எந்த இடத்திலும் நம்மை பெரிதாக ஏமாற்றவில்லை. ராஜாமகள்.. நிச்சயம் ஏமாற்றாது!

Rajamagal movie review

Sundaram is a lower middle class father who runs a mobile repair shop to run his family.

He spends most of his time at the shop and the rest with his daughter Kanmani. He tries to fulfill all the wishes of his daughter.

One day Kanmani asks Sundaram to buy an own house. Sundaram agrees to it thinking that Kanmani will forget it as time passes.

However, things do not go as expected and Kanmani becomes more determined to buy an own house. What does Sundaram do after this forms the rest of the story.

Director Henry has took a simple script and has made the screenplay in an engaging manner. He has touched upon the bonding between father and daughter. Though there are a few cliched scenes they are overcome by the performances of the actors.

Aadukalam Murugadoss delivers a seasoned performance as the father and has portrayed the various emotions of the character in an effective manner.

Baby Prathiksha is the show stealer and is impressive with her performance. The way she showers affection on her father, gets jealous of her classmate, being adamant to buy a house are all impressive.

Velina as Murugadoss’ wife has done her part well. Bugs as Murugadoss’ friend creates an impact in the small screenspace that he has.

Music by Shankar Rajan is good. Rest of the technical aspects are passable.

Sundaram (played by Aadukalam Murugadoss) is a modest middle-class man who runs a small mobile shop. His daughter Kanmani (played by Baby Pratiksha) is quite literally the apple of his eye. Sundaram pushes all the boundaries of his modest lifestyle to ensure that every wish of his dearest daughter is fulfilled. 

As a result, Sundaram's house is filled with out-of-place luxuries, like air conditioners, in the small house. Kanmani just needs to profess her wish once, and Sundaram is sure to bring whatever it is she wants to her. His wife and friend try their best to caution him against his over-the-top pampering, but Sundaram listens to no one but his little Kanmani.

One day, Kanmani decides she wants to buy her own house and asks her father about it. Sundaram agrees, thinking that she will forget about it in a few days. But Kanmani's insistence grows and grows. Sundaram tries his best to fulfill her wish, but eventually, the reality of his situation comes out. The story revolves around how Sundaram learns the difference between pampering and spoiling, and the beautiful bond between a father and his daughter.

Star Performance 

Aadukalam Murugadoss is the star of this film. He plays the role of a loving and doting father. Murugadoss drives that point home, showing every ounce of the love that Sundaram holds for Kanmani on screen. The way he portrays this love is touching indeed. 

Baby Pratiksha plays the role of Kanmani. For her tender age, she is a very decent actor. She portrays both the naivete and the sensitivity of a child perfectly. Her acting is slightly over-the-top and melodramatic, but it only further enhances her character. 

The rest of the cast has also done a decent job. Velina, who plays the role of Sundaram's wife Vasantha, has done a good job as someone who is always wary of the way Sundaram refuses to deny his daughter. Baghavati Perumal adds a nice touch as Sundaram's well-meaning friend.

The storyline of Raja Magal is pretty simple. The title of this film means "King's Daughter", and the premise does it justice. It is just a story of the bond between a father and a daughter, with touching elements and important lessons. 

Though simple, the narrative is engaging. The journey following Sundaram and his quest to complete all his daughter's demands makes the film interesting. There is also a high emotional quotient to the film. The writing in these scenes may be melodramatic, but they give important takeaways. 

There are some scenes that feel slightly unnecessary, like the director trying to waste time. The writing may also seem overtly cliche at certain points. But the saving grace in such scenes is the acting of the cast, who pull of heavy scenes with much ease.

The movie also provides a good lesson in indulgence for parents. Through Sundaram and Kanmani's journey, we see what happens when a parent tries to give the child everything they ask for, no matter how illogical it may be. The repercussions that Sundaram faces show us that sometimes it's best to simply talk to your child and gently explain things to them so that they can understand reality and the fact that they can't always get what they want. 

The cinematography of the film and the soundtrack are well done. The complement the emotions and simplicity of the movie, making it more pleasing to watch.

• Simple and engaging plot with good morals and lessons

What's Not There?

• Too much melodrama at times

Raja Magal is a sweet and compelling film that makes you feel warm and wholesome but also teaches you important lessons. The story of Sundaram and Kanmani shows us the undying bond and love between a father and daughter and is an unmissable reminder for all parents.

குடிமகானின் கதை

தனது மனைவி மற்றும் குழந்தையுடன் சந்தோஷமாக வாழ்ந்து வரும் கதையின் நாயகன் மதி ATM – களில் பணம் நிரப்பும் வேலையை செய்துவருகிறார். எந்த ஒரு கெட்டபழக்கமும் இல்லாத இவர் வேலைக்கு செல்லும் இடத்திலெல்லாம் கிடைக்கும் தின்பண்டங்கள் அனைத்தையும் அடிக்கடி சாப்பிடுகிறார், அப்படி இவர் அளவுக்கு மீறி தின்பண்டங்கள் தின்றதால் குடிக்காமலேயே போதை ஆகும் ஒரு வகை நோய் வந்துவிடுகிறது.

கதையின் நாயகன் குடிக்காமலேயே போதையில் இருப்பதால் , அவருக்கு வேலை போய் விடுகிறது, மற்றும் குடும்பத்தில் பல பிரச்சனைகளும் வருகிறது. கடைசியில் கதையின் நாயகன் மதி இவருக்கு இருக்கும் இந்த பிரச்சனையை சரிசெய்தாரா ? இல்லையா ? என்பதும் மற்றும் மீண்டும் இவர் வேலைக்கு சென்றாரா ? இல்லையா என்பதுதான் படத்தின் மீதி கதை…

Produced by Moon Walk Pictures, the film is directed by “King’s Daughter” Henry and composed by Shankar Ra ngarajan. The film stars Aadukalam Murugadoss, Velina of Kannimadam fame, Bucks of Madhuvula Kathla Pakk atha Kanom fame, Baby Prithiksa of Zee Tamil fame, Easwar of Cuckoo fame, Master Joshua of 100% Love fame, Pramalatha, Perare, Tirapattarai Ram, Vijaypala and many others. The film is based on the opinion of a middle cla ss father that if he brings up his children by telling them that they can’t explain our inability to listen to them, th en they become reluctant to listen to anything.Murugadoss, who runs a cell phone service shop in the bazaar, be cause of his immense affection for his daughter, buys whatever she asks for without saying no. At one point, he te lls people who ask for a house like a bungalow that he will buy it too. Thus, has the daughter’s dream of movin g to a bungalow in a few days come true? What were the effects of this? The story of the movie “Rajamaal” tells this with the battle of affection between father and daughter.

In the scene where Murugadoss, who is playing the role of a father, is standing behind a tree and unable to save his daughter, crying tears, Murugadoss makes the viewers see tears in their eyes. Climax scenes are a blast Born in a simple family, Murugadoss lives in a rented house in Chennai. His wife is Velina. They have a 7-year-old daug hter, Pratiksha.Murugadoss, who runs a cell phone service shop in the bazaar, takes care of his family with the in come from it. Murugadoss, who has immense affection for his daughter, buys whatever his daughter asks for wit hout saying no.

n order for the bond of affection between daughter to father and father to daughter to be  like this, after seeing the huge bungalow of a rich housemate of hers, Pratiksha asks her father that she wants a bungalow like this hou se.In that situation, Murugadoss, who buys whatever his daughter asks for, says that he will also buy a house like a bungalow. Due to this, Pratiksha dreams of going to the bungalow in a few days.Did Pratiksha’s dream come tr ue? Did the father who never said no, fulfill his daughter’s wish.?? That is the rest of the story of the film.Mur uga doss, who has made his mark with his character performance in many films like Aadukalam and Kuttibuli, has giv en his experience performance in this film as well.

Murugadoss has given a performance that gets applause in many places, be it the place where he shows excess ive affection for his daughter, be it the place where he is unable to fulfill his daughter’s wish.In the scene where he is standing behind a tree and unable to save his daughter and is shedding tears, Murugadoss makes viewers s ee the wetness in their eyes. The climax scene is also a flash…The next big pillar of the film is Pratiksha who play ed the role of a girl. Pratiksha brings a thousand expressions with just a glance. Pratiksha brought to a halt a sen se of true fatherly affection for his daughter.In the scene with her friends, Pradiksha has added beauty to the sc ene with her facial expressions.

The heroine Velina, who won everyone’s praise in Kannimadam, has added strength to her character by coming as a family woman in this film as well.Despite being a small character, Bux has given what he was given by acting as Nuch. The boy who plays Pratiksha’s school friend has also given his performance which adds beauty to the sc ene..Though the plot of the story is small, its pain is intense and this “Rajamalam” gets applause.Not only fathers who have daughters, but fathers who are unable to buy their own house, live in a rented house and yearn for th e ir dreams day by day, if this gives pain in one place, it will be a victory for the kingdom.Director Henry has given the flow of the story very well.

However, the scenes where the daughter is running around in one place to fulfill her wish leave the second half a bit sloppy.Niki Kannan’s cinematography has given the film a beautiful look. Shankar Rangarajan’s music comple ments the flow of the story.Let’s celebrate the kings who gave affection and influence.The next big pillar of the fil m is Pratiksha who played the role of a girl. Pratiksha brings a thousand expressions with just a glance. Pratiksha brought to a halt a sense of true fatherly affection for his daughter.Murugadoss, who has made his mark with his character performance in many films like Aadukalam and Kuttibuli, has given his experience performance in this film as well.Niki Kannan’s cinematography has given the film a beautiful look.

Shankar Rangarajan’s music complements the flow of the story. The father (Murugadoss) who lives by running a cell phone service shop and has a lot of affection for his daughter (Murugadoss) does not have the heart to refu se whatever his daughter asks.  In a rivalry between a rich schoolmate and his daughter Atty, the daughter who goes to his house for his birthday party says she wants to buy a multi-crore house just like he has when she retur ns. The film tells the story of what happened when the father told lies to his daughter that it was not possible an d told him that he would buy it, his daughter could not bear to be put off and her health became unwell, and then the father could not tell his daughter that he could not, and what happened in the end.

Director Henry has beautifully depicted a simple family and that environment. . Murugadoss, Velina, Bucks have acted very naturally and beautifully. Girl Pratiksha has acted amazingly. Many people have come across a situati on where they cannot say no to what some people ask. Muruga Das, Baby Pratiksha, Henry combine to create su ch an atmosphere through dialogue, tone, acting and direction. That and the scene where the girl pulls the chara cter of Bugs towards her is amazing.But the continuation of the same level over one level has turned it into an un realistic cinema. . Is it affection to buy ice cream when a child who is in a physical condition says that if he eats ice cream during the rainy season, he will get janni?

The reality of the father character in this film lies in the question whether denial is affection.At one point, what happens is that we are watching a story that should not be told. . But in the climax they fought and tried to save the film. This film ends up being a flexible film.If the person who went to the top of the mountain without needin g to take a different selfie slipped and fell, and escaped with minor injuries just before he hit the ground and touc hed a tree branch… Shall we praise him? Shall we scold? That’s how it is,  Rajamagal
