आदर्श आचार संहिता का उल्लंघन

आदर्श आचार संहिता ने एक बार फिर राष्ट्रीय ध्यान आकर्षित किया है क्योंकि 18वीं लोकसभा के लिए चुनाव प्रचार के दौरान वरिष्ठ राजनेताओं द्वारा इसका घोर उल्लंघन किया गया। राजनीतिक दलों का कर्तव्य है कि वे आचार संहिता का पालन करें क्योंकि इसे शांतिपूर्ण, व्यवस्थित और सभ्य चुनाव कराने के लिए सभी राजनीतिक दलों के बीच आम सहमति के आधार पर भारत के चुनाव आयोग (ईसीआई) द्वारा तैयार किया गया था। हालाँकि, चूँकि भारत में चुनाव एक बिना रोक-टोक वाला युद्ध है, इसलिए यह आम सहमति अक्सर टूट जाती है और पार्टी नेता अपने विरोधियों पर हमला करने का कोई मौका नहीं छोड़ते।

आदर्श आचार संहिता (एमसीसी) के बारे में

• आदर्श आचार संहिता (एमसीसी) भारत के चुनाव आयोग द्वारा चुनावी अभियानों के दौरान राजनीतिक दलों और उम्मीदवारों के व्यवहार को विनियमित करने के लिए तैयार किए गए दिशानिर्देशों का एक व्यापक समूह है।
• इसमें भाषण, मतदान दिवस की गतिविधियां, मतदान केंद्रों का प्रबंधन, घोषणापत्र की विषय-वस्तु, जुलूस और उम्मीदवारों के सामान्य आचरण जैसे व्यापक मुद्दे शामिल हैं।
• एमसीसी का प्राथमिक उद्देश्य यह सुनिश्चित करना है कि चुनाव प्रक्रिया व्यवस्थित, पारदर्शी और शांतिपूर्ण तरीके से संपन्न हो तथा लोकतांत्रिक वातावरण को बढ़ावा मिले।
• आदर्श आचार संहिता के प्रवर्तन के माध्यम से, भारत का निर्वाचन आयोग अनुच्छेद 324 में निर्धारित अपने संवैधानिक अधिदेश को प्रभावी ढंग से पूरा करता है, जो स्वतंत्र और निष्पक्ष चुनावों की निगरानी और अखंडता को बनाए रखने के लिए है।
