The Sims 4: Style Influencer Career
The style influencer career is an more active career than a lot of the base game careers, but still gives you the option of sending your sim to work and getting rid of them for a while.
You’ll be able to do a lot of your tasks as a work from home job and can earn a seriously great income from this career. You’ll also be able to start trends and unlock the ability to give sims a makeover whenever you want.
Style Influencer Career Levels
There are 5 levels of this career that you must go through before you are able to choose a branch. In these levels your daily task is going to be to discuss outfits or fashion with other sims.
You’ll find this under the friendly interactions when talking to others, you may need to do this with more than one sim to get it done fully.
Sometimes when you do this you may get an impression moodlet. This is kind of like a feeling of inspiration for your sim, you can use Trending Style Board to put these impressions on and your sim will get inspired.
When you reach level 4 of the style influencer career you’ll unlock the ability to write fashion articles. This means that you’ll be able to write articles and increase your work performance when you aren’t even working.
Trend Setter Branch
Both branches of this career are kind of all over the place in terms of skills you need to gain. You are going to need to work on the writing, charisma, painting and photography skill in this branch.
Your daily task is going to be to gather impressions which is kind-of annoying but simple enough. To gather impressions you can research art on the computer, look at art work in your home, or talk to people about their outfits.
When you get a moodlet saying that you’ve gathered an impression you need to put that impression on the style board so you are able to gather another one and complete the task for the day.
Stylist Branch
Both branches in this career have their skill gains kind-of all over the place. You’ll need to gain the painting, charisma, charisma and photography skill to keep getting promoted in this career.
Your daily task is going to be to update your social media status which is incredibly easy. You can do this on your sim’s phone.
Giving Make Overs
When your sim reaches level 6 of the stylist career or level 8 of the trend setter career they are now able to start giving other sims make overs. This is great for uglier townies who you just don’t like to look at and is found under friendly interactions.
Creating Fashion Trends
As your sim progresses through this career they are going to unlock new abilities. When you’re at level 10 of the stylist branch or level 7 of the trend setter branch your sim will be able to create trends .
These are separated as masculine or feminine trends allowing you to have some for all sims. When you create these fashion trends you’ll actually see sims who are wearing the creations you’ve made.
You’re actually able to create 5 masculine and 5 feminine trends, meaning there will be tons of sims in the world wearing your outfits.
Final Thoughts
The style influencer career was a great addition to the game and allows for a new type of career gameplay. It really is fun to work from home and participate in your sim’s work day. How do you feel about this career in The Sims 4? Let me know in the comments.

How to Upload Images in The Sims 4: Style Influencer Career Guide
Did you know that the Stylist branch of The Sims 4’s Style Influencer career is among the highest-paying jobs in the game? It makes sense, considering you have to level several skills for each promotion, but it’s surprising how quickly you can rise to fame and rack up money in your bank account. However, you’ll have to work hard to get to that point and complete daily tasks, ranging from checking in at particular locations to posting on your in-game social media accounts! If you want to learn more, continue reading to discover how to upload images as a Style Influencer in The Sims 4.
How to Upload Images as a Style Influencer in The Sims 4
To upload images as a Style Influencer, you’ll have to find a computer in your household or a public lot and find “Share Image” in your Social Networking menu . The exact path is your in-game computer > Social Networking > Share Image. You can do this once every couple of in-game hours, allowing you to easily post three or more images for your daily task within a few hours.
The pictures below show exactly how to get to this option!

Depending on your career and skills, you’ll also find other social media options in this menu. In the case above, I had a Stylist Sim with only a few medium and high-level stats, so he was mostly limited to uploading images and videos.
Uploading images through the Social Networking menu differs from uploading photographs to your in-game Simstagram , which you can do on the side to raise your fame as part of the Get Famous expansion pack. While doing this once doesn’t significantly boost your fame, it adds up over time when you take dozens of pictures and repeat this action.
The Sims 4 is available on PC, Mac, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. To learn more about the game, check out how to reach maximum body potential in The Sims 4 , or click the tag below to explore our growing article collection!

Buy a photocamera in build mode. You need to use that one, not phone camera. I had one of my sims as style influencer, it works that way. Edit: actually, the camera was promotion reward, so check either sim's personal or household inventory. Click in the camera and take photos from there.
In order to complete the Take Photos task, you'll need to select the Photograph Impression option from your Sim's mobile device. This option can be found under the entertainment category on your Sim's phone:

For the task to take 5 photos, I think you need to use your phone, not a camera, and use the "photograph impression" choice. (Not at my computer right now to double check) Does it register if you use that option?

Along with the "sketch for 2 hours" work at home task not counting or completing, the "take 3 photos" task is also broken on the work from home task. Hopefully this will get fixed soon.
The Work From Home Tasks include: Interview Sims, Take Photos, Upload Images, Sketch, Write Articles, and Submit Column. At Level 6 the Style Influencer Career branches into Stylist and Trend Setter. Both branches require Sims to improve their Writing, Charisma, Painting, and Photography Skills.
