త క్కువ బడ్జెట్‌, ప్రేక్షకులకు కనెక్ట్‌ అయ్యే పాయింట్‌తో సినిమాలు తీస్తూ అలరిస్తుంటారు మలయాళ దర్శకులు. ఇక అక్కడ వచ్చే క్రైమ్‌, ఇన్వెస్టిగేషన్‌ థ్రిల్లర్‌ల గురించి ప్రత్యేకంగా చెప్పాల్సిన పనిలేదు. అలా ఈ ఏడాది జనవరిలో విడుదలై బాక్సాఫీస్‌ వద్ద రూ.40 కోట్లకు పైగా వసూళ్లు సాధించిన చిత్రం ‘అబ్రహాం ఓజ్లర్‌’. ఇప్పుడు ఓటీటీ వేదికగా స్ట్రీమింగ్‌కు వచ్చేసింది. మరి ఇంతకీ ఈ సినిమా కథేంటి?సీరియల్‌ కిల్లర్‌ ఎవరు?

కథేంటంటే: అబ్ర‌హం ఓజ్ల‌ర్ (జ‌య‌రాం) ఐపీఎస్‌ ఆఫీసర్‌. అతని భార్యాపిల్ల‌లు కనిపించకుండా పోతారు. దీంతో మానసిక ఒత్తిడి, నిద్రలేమితో బాధపడుతూ ఉంటాడు. ఇదే సమయంలో త్రిస్సూర్‌లో వరుస హ‌త్య‌లు జరుగుతాయి. కొందరు వ్యక్తులను ఆపరేషన్‌ చేసే కత్తితో కోసి చంపుతూ ఉంటారు. అంతేకాదు, ఆ మృతదేహాల వద్ద హ్యాపీ బ‌ర్త్‌డే అంటూ ర‌క్తంతో రాసి ఉన్న కాగితాలు ఉంచుతారు. ఇంతకీ ఆ హ‌త్య‌ల వెన‌క ఉన్నది ఎవరు? అతడిని ఓజ్ల‌ర్, అతడి టీమ్‌ ఎలా పట్టుకుంది? అలెక్స్ (మ‌మ్ముట్టి) ఎవరు? ఎలా ఉందంటే: ఇతర చిత్రాలతో పోలిస్తే క్రైమ్‌, ఇన్వెస్టిగేటివ్‌ మూవీస్‌ ప్రేక్షకుడిని అలరించడంలో ఎప్పుడూ ముందుంటాయి. చివరి వరకూ ఉత్కంఠగా సాగే ఈ జానర్‌ మూవీలను భాషతో సంబంధం లేకుండా చూసేవారూ ఉన్నారు. అందు కోసమే దర్శక-రచయితలు కూడా చిన్న ఎలిమెంట్‌ ఆఫ్ ఇంట్రెస్ట్‌ ఉన్న పాయింట్‌ను తీసుకుని, దానికి సినిమాటిక్‌ లిబర్టీ జోడించి కథగా వెండితెరపై ఆవిష్కరిస్తున్నారు. అలాంటి కోవకు చెందినదే ‘అబ్రహాం ఓజ్లర్‌’. దీన్నొక క్రైమ్‌ థ్రిల్లర్‌గా అందించడంలో దర్శకుడు మిథున్‌ మాన్యువల్‌ పాసయ్యారు. భార్య, కూతురు కనిపించకపోవడంతో తీవ్ర మానసిక వేదన పడుతున్న అబ్రహాం జీవితాన్ని పరిచయం చేస్తూ కథను మొదలు పెట్టాడు దర్శకుడు. అక్కడి నుంచి ఒకదాని తర్వాత ఒకటి హత్యలు జరుగుతూ ఉండటం, అన్నీ ఒకే తరహాలో ఉండటంతో హంతకుడు ఎవరా? అన్న ప్రశ్న అటు పోలీస్‌లకు ఇటు సినిమా చూస్తున్న ప్రేక్షకుడిని తొలిచేస్తుంది. ఒక హత్యకు మరో హత్యకూ దగ్గర సంబంధం ఉండటం, హంతకుడు ఒకే రకమైన ఆధారాలు వదిలి వెళ్లడం ఆ దిశగా ఓజ్లర్‌ విచారణ చేయడంతో కథనం పరుగులు పెడుతుంది. ప్రేక్షకుడిని కథకు ఎంగేజ్‌ చేస్తూ ఈ రేసీ స్క్రీన్‌ప్లేను దర్శకుడు బాగా తీర్చిదిద్దాడు. విరామ సమయానికి కేసు దాదాపు పరిష్కరించడంతో ఆ తర్వాత ఏం జరుగుతుందా? అన్న ఆసక్తి మొదలవుతుంది. అయితే, హంతకుడు దొరికేసిన తర్వాత పోలీసులకు ఏం చెబుతాడో సగటు ప్రేక్షకుడు ఊహించగలడు. ఎవరెలా చేశారంటే: క్యారెక్టర్‌ ఆర్టిస్ట్‌గా తెలుగువారికి సుపరిచితులైన జయరామ్‌ ఏసీపీ అబ్రహాం ఓజ్లర్‌గా జీవించారు. భార్యాబిడ్డలు కనిపించక మనో వేదనకు గురయ్యే వ్యక్తిగా, అదే సమయంలో హత్యల వెనుక ఉన్న వారిని కనిపెట్టే ఆఫీసర్‌గా వైవిధ్యమైన నటన కనబరిచారు. మమ్ముట్టిది అతిథి పాత్ర. మలయాళంలో ఘన విజయం సాధించిన ఫోరెన్సిక్ చిత్రం ఈరోజు మన తెలుగు ప్రేక్షకుల కోసం తెలుగులో డబ్బింగ్ చేసి విడుదల చేశారు. ఈ చిత్రం ఎలా ఉందో ఇపుడు మనం తెలుసుకుందాం. 

ఈ కథ చిన్న వయస్సు గల అమ్మాయిలని కిడ్నాప్ చేసి వారి చేత మర్డర్స్ చేపించిన తర్వాత ఆ అమ్మాయిలని చంపేస్తాడు సైకో కిల్లర్. అసలు ఏం జరుగుతుందో తెలుసుకోవడానికి రితిక ఐపిఎస్ ( మామతా మోహన్ దాస్ )కి కేసు అప్పగిస్తారు. మమతా మోహన్ దాస్ టీంలో ఫోరెన్సిక్ ఎక్స్పర్ట్ శామ్యూల్ జాన్ కట్టూక్కరన్ (టోవినో థామస్) మరియు శిఖా (రెబా మోనికా జాన్) జాయిన్ అవుతారు. కానీ మమతా మోహన్ దాస్ కి మరియు టోవినో థామస్ కి అస్సలు పడదు. దానికి గల కారణం వారిద్దరి మధ్య చేదు సంఘటనలతో కూడా గతం ఉంది. గడిచే ప్రతిరోజూ కేసులో మలుపులు తిరుగుతూ ఉంటాయి. కేసుకి సంబంధించిన విషయాలు తెలుసుకునే క్రమంలో ప్రతీదీ 10 సంవత్సరాల క్రితం జరిగిన సంఘటనలకు లింక్ అయి ఉంటుంది. అసలు ఆ గతం ఏంటి ? సైకో కిల్లర్ ఎవరు ? మమతా మోహన్ దాస్ మరియు టోవినో థామస్ ల మధ్య ఏం చేదు సంఘటనలు జరిగాయి ? అసలు వీరిద్దరూ కలిసి కేసు ని ఎలా సాల్వ్ చేశారు అన్నదే సినిమా..

* టోవినో థామస్ మరియు మమతా మోహన్‌దాస్ లు సినిమా మొత్తాన్ని చాల పైకి తీసుకొని వెళ్లారు వారి నటన కూడా చాల ఇంటెన్స్ తో కూడి ఉంటుంది.

* సినిమాకి సంబంధించిన ప్రతి ఒక క్యారెక్టర్ ని చాలా క్లుప్తంగా వివరించారు.  సైకో కిల్లర్ కూడా బాగా చేశారు.  

* డైరెక్టర్ కథ మరియు కథనం చక్కగా వ్రాసుకున్నారు. ఎక్కడా బోర్ కొట్టకుండా ప్రతి 5 నిమిషాలకి ట్విస్ట్ వచ్చేలా చిత్రీకరించారు.

* బ్యాక్ గ్రౌండ్ మ్యూజిక్ కొత్తగా ఉంది. 

*సినిమాటోగ్రఫీ చాలా బాగుంది.

*  ప్రొడక్షన్ విలువలు కూడా చాలా బాగున్నాయి.

*  ఎడిటింగ్ కూడా బాగా చేశారు. 

* రెండవ భాగంలో కొన్ని అనవసరపు సన్నివేశాలు ఉన్నాయి. 

మొత్తానికి ఫోరెన్సిక్ చిత్రం ప్రేక్షకులందరికీ ఓ కొత్త అనుభూతిని ఇస్తుంది. ట్విస్టులకి ప్రేక్షకులు ఫిదా అయిపోతారు. నటీనటులు అందరూ సినిమాకి చాలా ప్లస్ అయ్యారు. మమతా మోహన్ దాస్ సినిమాని తన భుజాలపై వేసుకొని నదిపించినట్లు అనిపిస్తుంది. కథ కథనాలు కొత్తగా ఉన్నాయి. నిర్మాణ విలువలు మరియు సినిమాటోగ్రఫీ చాలా బాగుంది. దర్శకుడు చాలా రీసెర్చ్ చేసి ఈ చిత్రాన్ని తీశాడు. బ్యాక్ గ్రౌండ్ మ్యూజిక్ ఈ చిత్రానికి బాగా ప్లస్ అయింది. మొత్తం మీద ఈ చిత్రాన్ని ప్రతి ఒక్కరూ చూసి ఎంజాయ్ చేస్తారు అని అనడంలో సందేహం లేదు.

Gopichand’s Bhimaa TV Premiere Date Revealed

Tottempudi Gopichand’s latest Telugu fantasy action drama, Bhimaa , is gearing up for its television premiere. Despite receiving negative reviews from critics upon its theatrical release on March 8, the film garnered a solid response in the digital space. Recent reports indicate that the makers have scheduled its television premiere for this weekend.

Directed by A. Harsha, Bhimaa marks Gopichand’s 31st film in a leading role. The movie also features Priya Bhavani Shankar, Vennela Kishore, Nasaar, Mukesh Tiwari, and Malvika Sharma. K. K. Radhamohan produced the film under the banner of Sri Sathya Sai Arts. On a technical front, Ravi Basrur composed the music, Swamy J. Gowda handled the cinematography, and Tammiraju edited the film.

Set against the backdrop of a village named Mahendgiri, Bhimaa follows the story of a man who engages in illegal activities at the Parushuram temple, killing anyone who tries to stop him. Gopichand’s character arrives in the village to protect the people and uncover the truth behind the mysterious happenings. The story takes an unexpected turn when the life of the woman Gopichand loves is put at risk.

Bhimaa is currently available to stream on Disney Plus Hotstar in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam. Those eager to watch it before the television premiere can enjoy it digitally. Due to intense violence, the Central Board of Film Certification awarded the film an A certificate .

Talking about his experience during Bhimaa filming, Gopichand said , “This isn’t a regular cop film. Along with the high scenes, there is a semi-fantasy element. I haven’t done anything like this before. That’s the beauty of Bhimaa. It is a commercial film along with the fantasy aspect. We have cut the trailer in an interesting manner, and many are coming up with their own theories.”

With the television premiere set for May 26, it will be intriguing to see how the audience reacts to its broadcast.

Siva Karthikeyan’s Varun Doctor has been creating a lot of buzz in Tamil circles. The film’s Telugu version is out and let’s see how it is.

Varun (Siva Karthikeyan) is an army doctor by profession. He falls in love with Padmini (Priyanka Arul Mohan) but she rejects Varun seeing his practical nature. The twist in the tale arises when Padmini’s niece gets kidnapped and Varun gets involved in the case. How Varun being a doctor saves the girl and breaks the kidnapper nexus forms the story.

Plus Points :

Siva Karthikeyan is the biggest highlight of the film as he showcases a different side to his personality. He as an army doctor evokes good comedy, drama, and carries the film on his shoulder. Siva’s chemistry with Priyanka is also neat in the film.

The comedy works for the most part and the scenes featuring Yogi Babu and Priyanka’s family are very good. The director Nelson has showcased the thrills in a very different manner.

The film has dark humor and is executed quite well by Nelson. The message showcased regarding women’s safety in the film looks good. Also, the thrills in the pre-climax have been executed well.

Minus Points :

One of the drawbacks of the film is the liberty taken by the director when it comes to the crime showcased featuring women. Though the message shown is good, the incidents that happen in today’s digital world look a bit overboard.

The second half has a few lags here and there. The screenplay is not that effective during this time and makes things boring a bit. Also, the story of girls being kidnapped has been shown in films earlier as well.

Technical Aspects :

Production values of the film are top-notch as the visuals look gripping. Music by Anirudh is okay but as usual, his BGM is riveting. The camerawork is decent but the dubbing could have been better.

Coming to the director Nelson, he has done a passable job with the film. His story idea and the way he has set it also look good. But his screenplay falters a bit in the second half. He makes proceedings a bit routine and ignored the logic. Verdict :

On the whole, Varun Doctor is a kidnapping drama that has decent thrills and comedy. But things get bogged down in the second half and a few logics go for a toss. The Tamil audience might like the film as it suits their sensibilities well. But for the Telugu audience, this film ends as just a passable watch this weekend.
