Submitting Assignments Using Turnitin

Turnitin is integrated within myunisa to uphold academic integrity by identifying non-original content in your assignments and to protect your intellectual property. here's what you need to know about using , turnitin for your submissions., when is turnitin used.

  • Selective Application : Turnitin is not used for all assignments. It is applied selectively for certain modules or types of assessments. If your assignment requires Turnitin, this will be indicated in the assignment details.

Accepting the End User License Agreement (EULA)

  • Mandatory Acceptance : If Turnitin is used for an assignment, you will be prompted to accept the Turnitin EULA. Accepting this agreement is crucial as it allows the system to check your submission for originality and protects your submitted work from being plagiarized by others in the future.

Important Notes

  • Draft Submissions : You can submit draft versions of your assignment to check the preliminary Originality Report. This allows you to make necessary revisions before your final submission without affecting your originality score.
  • Permanent Record : All submissions are stored permanently on Turnitin to ensure that future submissions do not mistakenly flag your original work as plagiarized.

This integration of Turnitin in myModules aims to support your academic journey by providing a tool that encourages original writing and ensures fair academic practices. Title: fast simulation mapping: from standard to modified gravity cosmologies using the bias assignment method.

Abstract: We assess the effectiveness of a non-parametric bias model in generating mock halo catalogues for modified gravity (MG) cosmologies, relying on the distribution of dark matter from either MG or $\Lambda$CDM. We aim to generate halo catalogues that effectively capture the distinct impact of MG, ensuring high accuracy in both two- and three-point statistics for comprehensive analysis of large-scale structures. As part of this study we aim at investigating the inclusion of MG into non-local bias to directly map the tracers onto $\Lambda$CDM fields, which would save many computational costs. We employ the bias assignment method (BAM) to model halo distribution statistics by leveraging seven high-resolution COLA simulations of MG cosmologies. Taking into account cosmic-web dependencies when learning the bias relations, we design two experiments to map the MG effects: one utilising the consistent MG density fields and the other employing the benchmark $\Lambda$CDM density field. BAM generates MG halo catalogues from both calibrations experiments excelling in summary statistics, achieving a $\sim 1\%$ accuracy in the power spectrum across a wide range of $k$-modes, with only minimal differences well below 10\% at modes subject to cosmic variance, particularly below $k<0.07$ $h$Mpc$^{-1}$. The reduced bispectrum remains consistent with the reference catalogues within 10\% for the studied configuration. Our results demonstrate that a non-linear and non-local bias description can model the effects of MG starting from a $\Lambda$CDM dark matter field.

Yankees tip hand on Jasson Dominguez’s future a day after start of rehab assignment

MINNEAPOLIS — The Yankees already know what they’ll do with No. 1 prospect J asson Dominguez once his 20-day rehab assignment is up on June 4.

He’ll be optioned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and not rejoin the Yankees as a starting center fielder or bench player.

Not right away.

Maybe not even this season.

Dominguez is rusty after undergoing Tommy John surgery last Sept. 20 and then rehabbing with no games for almost eight months.

The Yankees haven’t announced their plans for Dominguez, and they won’t until they have to, but manager Aaron Boone practically did so prior to Wednesday night’s 4-0 win over the Twins .

When Boone was asked if Dominguez needs the equivalent of a full spring training, he responded, “Yeah, a month’s worth of playing and building up.”

RESTORING THE GLORY

Dominguez played his first rehab game on Tuesday night. Hitting second and DHing for Low A Tampa, the switch-hitter was 1-for-3 with a walk in four plate appearances. He was 1-for-2 facing former Yankees right-hander Domingo German, who started for Bradenton in his season debut a member of hte Pirates organization.

Dominguez, who was given a planned rest day on Wednesday, will only DH for about two weeks and then start playing some center. The Yankees want him playing a bunch of minor-league games in the outfield to get his throwing arm into regular-season playing shape.

That’s one reason why Dominguez will be optioned.

Another is the Yankees are happy with the outfield options that they have on their current 26-man roster – starters Juan Soto in right, Aaron Judge in center, Alex Verdugo in left, fourth outfielder Trent Grisham (even though he’s not hitting a lick) plus super utility man Oswaldo Cabrera and DH Giancarlo Stanton.

On Dominguez, Boone said, “He’s in the first days of spring training games and for the first couple of weeks he’s just going to be DHing. Let’s just get out of his way right now. Get him right and get him playing and get him the regular reps and then we’ll see where we are.

“Hopefully in 10 days, two weeks from now we’re getting him into the outfield and starting to really build him up. And then if we have a decision to make at some point, we’ll obviously make that. But that’s a long ways off.”
