Keeping Calm – Building Resilience with Hunter and Eve
Building Resilience with Hunter and Eve is an animated series featuring a young fox (Hunter) and owl (Eve) who together learn how to be resilient and cope with disasters and emergencies. Each episode of this series focuses on one important skill (for example staying safe, keeping calm, solving problems) and provides clear steps toward achieving the skill.
In this episode, Hunter learns three steps to keep calm when he is afraid or upset. Watch the video to learn how you can keep calm too!
Child and youth worksheets are available for each episode in the series. The worksheets include activities that reinforce the steps presented in each video. Discussion starters are also provided, which provide questions for children and youth to think and talk about before and after watching each episode. Discussion starters can be used with individual children or with groups. (See links provided below)

Building Resilience with Hunter and Eve is an animated series featuring a young fox (Hunter) and owl (Eve) who together learn how to be resilient and cope with disasters and emergencies. Each episode of this series focuses on one important skill (for example staying safe, keeping calm, solving problems) and provides clear steps toward achieving the skill.

1. Positive Problem Solving Video
This is a video about positive problem solving. It provides steps for solving problems and explains why the steps are important. After watching the video, ask students to name the problem solving steps. Create an anchor chart with the problem solving steps. This video is 2 minutes and 53 seconds long.
2. Solving Problems with Hunter and Eve Video
Pause :46 and ask students what the problem is and what solutions could they possibly use to solve the problem. After watching the video ask students to name the three problem solving steps the characters used in the video. This video is 3 minutes and 9 seconds long.
3. Big Problems and Small Problems Video
This video explains to students how to be problem detectives and identify if a problem is a big problem or a small problem. After watching the video, ask students what the difference is between a big problem and a small problem. What should students do if they have a big problem? How can they solve small problems? This video is 2 minutes and 56 seconds long.
