Hyun Bin Opens Up on Reunion With Daniel Henney After 17 Years in 'Confidential Assignment 2'

As "Confidential Assignment 2" gears up for the much-awaited premiere, Hyun Bin talks about his comeback, married life, and reunion with Daniel Henney. 

The Hallyu star along with fellow cast Yoo Hae Jin, Girls' Generation's YoonA, Jin Sun Kyu together with director Lee Seok Hoon graced the press conference as they introduced the upcoming action-packed movie. 

"Confidential Assignment 2: International" is the sequel to the 2017 blockbuster film headlined by Hyun Bin and Yoo Hae Jin. 

The duo reprises their roles as they team up for a special mission. Hyun Bin returns as a North Korean detective named Rim Chul Ryung while Yoo Hae Jin returns as a South Korean detective named Kang Jin Tae. YoonA plays as as Park Min Young, the sister-in-law of Kang Jin Tae.

Interestingly, the highly anticipated sequel introduced new faces. Daniel Henney plays Jack, USA's FBI detective, who is on a mission to chase the North Korean criminal organization. 

As for the new villain, "Confidential Assignment 2: International" will have Jin Sun Kyu as Jang Myung Joon, the big boss of the criminal syndicate. 

At the media briefing, Hyun Bin gets candid as he spoke about his experience filming his comeback movie. 

Hyun Bin Happy to Be Reunited With Daniel Henney 

The 39-year-old star shared that he is excited to work with Daniel Henney again and was "really looking forward to it" as he joins "Confidential Assignment 2."

"As we've both been in our individual places and have been acting well to fit our situations, I think that's why we were able to work on another project together. It was so nice to see him on set," he said, as obtained by a media outlet.

As for the American model-actor, he appeared via video call and recalled his first time working with Hyun Bin. Daniel Henney expressed the same thought and said that it felt like they "got close right off the bat."

Moreover, he also shared a remarkable moment throughout the production and mentioned the nightclub scene. 

"After that filming, Hyun Bin and I drank beer at a hotel and talked a lot about old times. I personally really enjoyed it," he added. 

It can be recalled that the "Crash Landing on You" star and Daniel Henney first starred in the 2005 drama "My Lovely Sam Soon" with Kim Sun Ah. 

The upcoming action movie is their first time to be reunited after 17 years. 

As for Hyun Bin, "Confidential Assignment 2" is his big screen comeback, four years since he filmed "Rampant."

This is also his first project since he got married to his wife, Son Ye Jin. 

Hyun Bin Gives Update on His Married Life

Speaking of marriage, the soon-to-be father also spoke about his personal life, saying that as of the moment, "there haven't been any big changes."

It seems that Hyun Bin is already prepared for their little one and has been coping well with married life. 

"Confidential Assignment 2" is set to hit theaters on September 7.

Actor Hyun Bin Goes Viral For Gifting Audiences With An Impromptu Serenade During A Showing Of “Confidential Assignment 2”

We’ve reported about celebrities who dished out awesome fan service before, but the fans who attended a showing of actor Hyun Bin ‘s movie Confidential Assignment 2  were recipients of a truly special gift.

According to reports, the movie Confidential Assignment 2 held a showing with fans on August 30.

The showing was the first showing of the movie set to release on September 7. In attendance were director Lee Suk Hoon and actors Hyun Bin, Yoo Hae Jin , Im Yoona (also known as Yoona), Daniel Henney , and Jin Seon Kyu .   

During a short meeting with the audience, where the actors and director thanked the fans for attending, an impromptu serenade was put on display by none other than Hyun Bin!

Yoo Hae Jin, who was last to greet fans, told the audience, “ We will now be on our way. ” When the audience voiced their desire for the actors to stay, veteran actor Yoo Hae Jin suddenly made a declaration before handing the mic to Hyun Bin.

Despite being put on the spot, Hyun Bin, being a good sport, took the sudden limelight in stride and sang the classic 015B song “Now then, Goodbye,” while the audience burst into applause.

Hyun Bin cleverly used the song’s lyrics as a segway to tell the audience, “ Goodbye, I’ll see you guys soon. ” The sudden gift from the actor was shared in the tweet below.

Hyun Bin reprises his role as a North Korean agent in the movie Confidential Assignment 2 , the long-awaited sequel to the buddy cop classic Confidential Assignment . Beloved actors Yoo Hae Jin and Yoona also return to their roles as a South Korean agent and his loveable sister-in-law.

The 2017 blockbuster hit Confidential Assignment   was a critical and commercial success. Adding to the anticipation is the casting of heartthrob Daniel Henney, who is a household name in Korea, as well as rising actor Jin Seon Kyu. Confidential Assignment 2 updates, synopsis & what we know more

Filming for Confidential Assignment 2: International began on February 18, 2021 under the distributor CJ Entertainment. This is the sequel to the action thriller box office hit movie Confidential Assignment that was released back in 2017 and praised by critics. It also performed well in the box office.

Confidential Assignment 2 stars Hyun Bin, Yoo Hae-jin, Im Yoon-ah, Daniel Henney, and Jin Seon-kyu. The South Korean movie will be directed by Lee Seok-hoon, who is known for directing the movies like The Pirates, Dancing Queen and The Himalayas, to name a few.

Confidential Assignment 2 is all about a secret cooperative investigation between North and South Korea. Im Cheol-ryung is heading back to South Korea to team up again with Kang Jin-tae (played by Yoo Hae-jin) to chase the criminal. Hyun Bin will reprise his role Im Cheol-ryung, an officer of a special investigation team in North Korea. He teamed up with a South Korean detective named Kang Jin-tae (Yoo Hae-jin) to catch the notorious criminals. Read the synopsis below.

"North Korean detective Im Chul-Ryung (Hyun-Bin) is sent to South Korea on a new mission. His target is North Korean crime organization leader Jang Myung-Joon (Jin Sun-kyu). In South Korea, Im Chul-ryung teams up again with Detective Kang Jin-Tae (Yu Hae-jin). Because of a mistake he made, Detective Kang Jin-Tae now works in a cyber crime investigation team rather than the regional investigation unit. He wants to rejoin the regional investigation unit. Meanwhile, F.B.I. Agent Jack (Daniel Henney) joins Im Chul-ryung and Kang Jin-tae in their pursuit of Jang Myung-Joon."

NVIDIA launched the initial release of the Confidential Computing (CC) solution in private preview for early access in July 2023 through NVIDIA LaunchPad. Confidential Computing can be used in virtualized environments and provides the highest level of security with the best performance possible in the industry today. NVIDIA continues at the forefront of Confidential Computing, collaborating with CPU partners, cloud providers, and independent software vendors (ISVs) to ensure that the change from traditional, accelerated workloads to confidential, accelerated workloads will be smooth and transparent. 

The latest release for Confidential Computing on NVIDIA H100 Tensor Core GPU includes:

The importance of security

Security is crucial in today’s interconnected world. The vast amounts of generated data have immense potential for businesses and can impact the entire future of every industry. For many years, protection for data-in-motion (such as transferring data over the Internet), and data-at-rest (such as encrypting stored data), was available from a wide variety of vendors that span the security landscape. 

However, many of these vendors were unaware that data in-use might be in the clear, remain exposed, and be vulnerable to attacks. CC addresses the need to secure data in use, and prevent unauthorized users from accessing or modifying the data. 

As many customers move to running AI training or inference on their data, the data and the code need to be protected, especially when running large language models (LLMs) . Many customers cannot risk placing their data in the cloud because of the sensitivity of the data. Such data may contain personally identifiable information (PII) or company proprietary information, and the trained model has valuable intellectual property (IP). 

Confidential Computing is the best solution to protect AI models and data. With NVIDIA, customers don’t need to make a trade-off between performance and security.
