Every day before the sunrise, Muslims across the world have a pre-fast meal which is called Suhoor. After these meals, the Muslims have their first prayer every day in the month of Ramadan. The meal of sunsets is called Iftar. Muslims are very devoted to praying four to five times a day in this month and over the year. Iftar After having iftar Muslims avoid having food and water for the complete day. Iftar consists of water, juices, dates, salads, and various dishes, which are considered as a part of the meal. Various dishes like lamb stewed, lamb kebabs with grilled vegetables, and roasted chicken and various chicken dishes are made. Muslims read the holy Quran, which consists of 30 (thirty) section. It also helps improving blood circulation and get rid of all harmful toxins in the body. One of the main benefits of fasting is weight loss. Due to this, the fat and cholesterol are reduced. It also reduces many heart and gastric problems. In the fasting, the stored fat in the body gets burn so we don’t feel hungry. It helps us to heal the body and increases the metabolism and immune system.

The fasting helps the liver’s enzymes to break down the cholesterol into fats by using bile juice. Fasting helps us to increase the performance of the heart. Due to the lower cholesterol, the heart becomes very healthy. It helps a diabetic person by stabling the sugar level in the body. During the fasting, the body is filled by the endorphins, which help to feel fit. The fasting is one of the five pillars of Islam, and fasting in the month of Ramadan is compulsory for Muslims. However, it is restricted to fast on the Eid-ul-Fitr day. During the Ramadan, it is necessary to have a proper sleep and low-stress levels.

On the Eid day, people get up early in the morning. They take bath and wear new dresses and man visits to open ground or mosque to offer prayers in the form of “Namaz” meanwhile Woman starts preparing food at the house.

After Eid namaz people embrace one another and exchange Eid greeting.

Everybody says “Eid Mubarak” or “Happy Eid” to one another. Everybody goes to the houses of their relatives and friends to meet them.

The special dish that is prepared on Eid is “Sewain” and “Shirkurma” that is offered to everyone who came to the house for celebration.

Every Youngers get “Eidi” and gift from their elders. In this way the whole day the celebration goes on.

In some places Eid fair are also organized for the celebration where everybody enjoy a lots.

Eid is the festival of joy and celebration. After whole month of fasting and prayers every Muslim celebrates this day in the hope that “Allah” had accepted their “Namaz”, fasting and good virtues.

Eid is the most important festival celebrated by Muslims around the world. One is Eid-ul-Fitr or Eid and the other is Eid-ul-Azha or Bakr-Eid.

Eid-ul-Fitr or Eid is a festival that marks the end of the month of Ramadan. Ramadan is the holy month of fasting for Muslim. It is the ninth month in the Muslim Calendar. After the completion of the month, when the new moon is seen, the celebration of Eid gets to start.

On the other hand, Eid-ul-Azha is celebrated as a festival of sacrifice by Muslims all over the world. After the prayers of Eid, sacrifice is done.

On the day of the Eid, Muslims dress up in new clothes and go to eidgah or mosque for special prayers.

They offer special prayers for peace and prosperity of all. They wish one another by saying Eid Mubarak and share their love and affection for one another.

People visit relatives’ and friends’ home. They all exchange gifts with one another. Some of the special dishes like Biriyani, kheer, sewai and sheer kurma are prepared during the festival. They are served among the family members and the relatives.

The happiest of all are children. For them, the day is one of the most exciting days. They love to wear new clothes on that day. Children are given money or eedi by the elders (Eid gifts).

Eid is celebrated in great joy and happiness. The festival is a day of joy and thanksgiving. It is a festival which gives the message of kindness, sympathy and brotherhood. It is a festival of love and compassion.

The other name of happiness and festivity is 'EID-In India, Eid is celebrated with great joy and happiness. Every Muslim, irrespective of status wears new clothes, exchange gifts with each other, and offer Eid prayers in Mosques.

They greet each other `Eid Mubarak' or 'a happy Eid'. The main thing, which is attached to 'Eid' is 'Charity'. The first Eid of the year is known as 'Eid-UL-FITER', which means 'breaking of fast'. It is celebrated on the first day of shawaal, the tenth month in the muslim calendar. It marks the end of a month of fast during the month of 'Ramjan'.

At the end of this month, the full moon appears. The next day, Eid is celebrated. It is unholy to fast on this day. It is the day when Muslims forget old grievances and embrace each other with love and affection.

The Second 'Eid' is called 'EID-UL-JUHA'. It is the `Eid of sacrifice'. On the 10th day Zil-Hijri, the last month of the Islamic calendar, every Muslim celebrates this day of commitment and self-sacrifice to Allah. In the morning Namaz is offered in Mosques. They visit each other's houses and exchange sweets, desserts, etc.

It is auspicious to offer domestic animals, like sheep, goats, etc. as a symbol of Ibrahim's sacrifice. This meat is distributed among friends and relatives, to the poor and needy. Eid-UL-Zuha (Bakra Eid) falls on the last month of the Islamic calendar Hijri. It is celebrated after the 'Hajji' is completed.

There is a story related to it. Once, Prophet Ibrahim was put to test by Allah. He was asked to sacrifice his elder son Ishmail. Ibrahim got ready to sacrifice his son, but a sheep came in between. This example of devotion to Allah is a landmark for the followers of Islam. This day signifies the spirit of sacrifice. Every Muslim sacrifices animals like sheep, goats, camels, etc on this day.

The meat is divided into three parts, one part is given to poor people. The other two parts are distributed among friends and relatives.
