India of My Dreams

The India of my dreams will be a place full of peace and harmony. People will be filled with compassion, happiness and enthusiasm. I see an India where each individual will have a strong value system, where all human beings are equal. Everyone will have his or her role in the governance of the country directly as well as indirectly. I dream of an India which has people who are self-contained, self-reliant communities with truthful and transparent lives with good health, education and lives.

I dream of India as a country where everyone has access to education. There are children who belong to poor families and cannot afford education because of the costs of education. For such children, education should be provided freely. Moreover, education should be provided irrespective of gender discrimination. The girl child should be given equal opportunities similar to the boy child.

Women Empowerment

The India of my dreams includes women who are respected everywhere. They have power and rights equal to men. They are treated as an extremely important member of the family where they can take decisions and have financial independence. They must get a safe environment where they don’t have to worry about crimes such as rape, physical assault, kidnapping, acid attack, domestic violence, dowry system, sexual harassment at the workplace, etc. They must feel safe and protected so that they can utilise their full potential and energy in the right direction. This would enable them to showcase their talent and thus contribute to the development of the nation.

Corruption-Free India

Corruption is the biggest hurdle in the path of the development of our country. If our government and political system become corruption-free, then our country will develop fast. The bribery system will come to an end and all bureaucrats will function with integrity and accountability. Every government servant will take responsibility for their work. So, the India of my dream will be corruption free.

Employment Opportunities

Creating employment opportunities for youth is one of the key factors that contribute to the development of a nation. India which I dream of should have enormous opportunities for youth so they can be easily employed. There should be jobs in every sector so that one can work in the area of his/her interest. In this way, India will reach great heights.

Clean, Green and Pollution-Free Environment

The India of my dreams will be clean, green and healthy for everyone. People will enjoy the greenery, fresh air and pollution-free environment. The highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene will be maintained in the India of my dreams. Citizens will actively participate in making India clean so everyone gets a healthy environment.

This is my India — a great country, a land of peace, prosperity and truthfulness where no one is afraid of speaking the truth and where there is no corruption. It will be a country where women are respected and people from all religions coexist and where every citizen is proud to be an Indian. It will be a country free from violence, terrorism, hunger and suffering.

Essay on India of My Dreams for Students and Children

500 words essay on india of my dreams.

India is a country where people of all cultures and religions coexist together. I suppose that each of us has dreamt about some version of India. Obviously, we may dream about anything at any time, and as Indian citizens, we are continuously looking for methods to improve our country and see a better India. Peace and prosperity are my hopes for our great country. India will be a great country when every citizen follows the rule of law, supports the nation with their families, and does something to make India a better place.

The India of my dream would be a country where women are safe and walk freely on road. Also, it will be a place where there is freedom of equality to all and everyone can enjoy it in their true sense. Furthermore, it would be a place where there is no discrimination of caste, color, gender , creed, social or economic status, and race. In addition, I see it as a place that sees an abundance of development and growth.

Essay on India of My Dreams

How can we make our dream India possible?

If we collectively look into everything, we will be able to identify the causes and solutions to all of the world’s problems. Similarly, building a great nation and resolving its deep-rooted problems is an attainable goal. India must have the following characteristics in order to become a Great Country:

  • Law That Is Just and Effective
  • Society of Peace
  • Equality of opportunity for everyone
  • Uncorrupted systems
  • Unbiased educational system

When these things become a reality, the entire country will take notice, and everyone will have the opportunity to enjoy a healthy and prosperous life. That is why we must all work together to bring about change in our country and contribute to improving people’s lives. Every person must work with their family and society, as well as support our government, which is also doing its bit by providing adequate education, transportation, food for everybody, and employment opportunities to all segments of society.

Technological Advancement

I would like to see India become more scientifically, technologically, and agriculturally sophisticated. I want to see an India where rationality and scientific ideas triumph over blind faith and bigotry. Because the present age is the age of science and information technology, I would like to bring India to the pinnacle of scientific and technical advancement. Scientific and technological developments are required since they are a critical stepping stone in the development of a country.

Women Empowerment

There is a lot of discrimination against women. But, still, the women are stepping out of their houses and making a mark on different fields and on society. In addition, there are a lot of areas that need to be worked upon whether it is female feticide or restricting them to the household task. Besides, many NGO and social groups have come forward to promote women empowerment .

However, we have to work hard to change the mindset of society. I dream of India as a country that sees women as its assets, not as liabilities. Also, I want to place women on an equal level as men.

Though there are many initiatives by the government to promote education. But there are many people who do not realize its true importance. The India of my dream will be a place where education will be mandatory for all.

I wish there were no uneducated people in India of my dreams. I would like to see India implement a system of education that allows every individual to earn a living. In my dream India, I would like the people of my country to appreciate the value of education and to encourage their children to pursue school rather than working in menial professions at a young age.

Employment Opportunities

Although there are many educated people in India. But, due to corruption and many other reasons they are unable to get a decent job. Besides, there are many employment opportunities in the country but they are either limited or don’t pay well enough. One of the reasons for this is weak industrial growth in the country.

In addition, reservation is a hindrance in this path as most of the deserving candidates lose their good opportunities because of it. Many of these deserving candidates go abroad and work for the economic growth of other countries . The Indian of My dream will be a place where the deserving candidate will get the job first rather than reserved candidates.

Caste Discrimination

Though India got independence in 1947, still we are not able to get complete independence from caste, religion, and creed discrimination. It is shameful to see how in certain parts of the country the people of the lower section of the society are denied the basic rights .

However, there are various social groups that speak for their rights and help them to oppose this oppression. Besides, I dream of an India where there is no discrimination of any kind.

Corruption is one of the major reasons that are hindering the growth of the nation . Instead of making an effort to serve the growth of the country the officials and politicians are busy filling their own pockets. So, I dream of an India where the minister and official are dedicated to their work and wholly for the development of the country.

A big number of well-educated persons appear to be unemployed as a result of politicians’ severe corruption and harshness. Because of the reservation system, the majority of deserving individuals have been denied the opportunity. My hope for India is that deserving applicants, not reserved candidates, receive the correct jobs. I would also like to see India become a place where the government’s primary focus is on the benefit of the country.

In conclusion, the India of my dream will be an ideal country where every citizen will be equal. Also, there is no discrimination of any type. In addition, it will be a place where women are seen as equals to men and respected equally.

Gender Discrimination and Inequality

It’s terrible to see how, despite showing themselves in every aspect of life, women are still regarded as inferior to males. My ideal India will be one in which women are protected in all circumstances, good or bad. There will be no more torture, domestic violence, or male dominance over women. Women will be able to pursue their dreams with greater freedom. In my future country, they should be treated equally and have the right to care. It would be a location where the safety of women would be of the first importance.

Medical Support

The sole goal of the medical profession shall be to protect people free from discomfort and sickness, with proper regard and respect for age and with all due consideration for the health of all the best medical facilities available. Not for profit, but for the sake of service. The elderly would be properly cared for, and life would appear to be worth living for as long as they lived. People in my ideal country would be born healthy, hopeful, and happy, and they would live happily ever after.

Essay on India of My Dreams

Everyone has dreams to make his/her country big and democratically successful. A country where there is equality in all areas, and for all genders, it witnesses progress. Like others, I also have a dream for my India and the way it should be, so I can be proud to live and the coming generation too. Furthermore, a country where there is no discrimination of caste, color, gender, and economic status, sees development in a true sense. People in such countries also progress well in all senses.

Descriptive Essay India of My Dreams

The India of my dreams would be a country that is entirely self-sufficient in all areas. I want India to be technologically advanced, agriculturally advanced as well as scientifically better. Every barren land in the country, which has not witnessed crop in ages, would be cultivated for achieving food grains. I am proud of my country, where agriculture is the backbone and pushes the GDP ahead.

I am proud that I live in a country with so rich soil containing suitable minerals that help in agriculture and promote farming. Different states of India have different varieties of soil, such as Gujarat has black soil that is suitable for growing cotton, Kerala has soil that is suitable for rice cultivation, and so on. One of the best things that happened in the country was the Green Revolution, offering intensive agricultural programs for farmers.

Women Empowerment

My biggest dream is to see women’s empowerment in all areas. I am happy to see women are becoming independent and can take up family responsibilities. However, many things need to work for women’s empowerment, such as stopping female feticide, promoting safety and equality in the organisation, etc. In rural areas of India, there are still many cases of women feticide and physical attack, endangering a woman’s life.

The patriarchy is still in existence in many places in India, that needs to be taken into consideration. Several jobs are still not open for women. For things to change in a better way, along with the government and other citizens, women as a community should also normalise certain things to change the mindset of the people and the society. For instance, generally, everywhere, the delivery person that comes to our door are men. There are nearly zero women who accept such jobs. Instead, they choose to be a housewife, which should not be the ideal situation. Society should normalise things for women that men have done for decades. Various types of reservations are also provided in education or jobs to uplift women and encourage better participation.

Thankfully, the Indian government, along with NGOs and social groups, are working towards the safety and empowerment of women in India. I want women in my country to be free from social stigma and live independent lives.

Empowering Poor

The rich are becoming richer, and the poor are becoming poorer. The middle class has been standing in the same situation ever since. This should not be the ideal situation for India. The more this gap will be, the more our country and people will suffer. India of my dreams should be a place where poor people get empowerment, face no poverty, do not starve, and get the proper roof to live.

Poor kids should get an education, so they are confident in facing the world and living a successful life. There should be no gap between the rich and the poor. The national income should be distributed rationally among different sections of society. In my opinion, socialism is the only remedy that can help to overcome the problem.

Employment Opportunity

The India of my dream should be where every individual should get employment opportunities. People must have a decent job that offers good pay, which will help in fulfilling dreams. Unfortunately, many young people with great talent are unable to find the right job due to corruption, quota, and reference.

Reservation has been the major hindrance in the path of growth of deserving candidates. Many of the young experts end up shifting abroad for job opportunities, helping the growth of the GDP of the respective country. India of My dream is a place where the deserving candidate must get a job. A country where young experts get a proper job will certainly witness profitable growth of GDP.

No More Caste Discrimination

Right from independence until now, caste discrimination has been the major hurdle in the growth of Indian society. In many villages of the country, some people still face caste discrimination issues. It is certainly shameful to see how people are denied their rights due to the caste issue. Thankfully, certain social groups work hard to bring down caste discrimination and give equal opportunities to people.

Reservation is also the major factor in promoting caste discrimination. The deserving candidate, be it of any caste, has to suffer more, and the non-deserving ones, be it of any caste, get admission easily into top-notch colleges of India. Students shift abroad for their higher studies or their jobs. They think that the education system of India is not up to the mark and the employment industry is also not very welcoming to keep the students in their company.

I want India to be corrupt-free, which will help in the growth of the nation. One of the reasons the country, even after all these years, is not able to develop is because of the corruption practised by people. No matter how big or small the work is, you need to give the money to get it done.

However, there are government policies that strike hard on such people who look for a bribe to perform the task. I dream of a country where people perform a task without taking any bribes.

Good Infrastructure and Sanitation

I dream of India, which has good infrastructure and sanitation. There are many villages, which lack poor sanitation and infrastructure. The Government of India needs to work on these, so people get what they deserve. Adequate sanitation is very important; it helps people in the village, especially women, to avoid going to open places and face health issues.

The Indian defence forces should be equipped with technologically advanced weapons. All the three military units, the army, the navy, and the air force, should be given extra attention by the government of India as the defence force of any nation is the most significant part of any country. The soldiers should be well-trained and have enough facilities, especially those serving at the borders.

India of my dream should be an ideal country, which I can be proud of and live with confidence. I want the coming generation to have a better life and get everything they deserve for living in this country. I want my country to be politically sound and unbiased, the democracy of my country to be the strongest and successful. Corruption should be eliminated from every aspect of our lives.

Taxes should be practically and judicially imposed, the difference between rich and poor should be eliminated, and there should not be any kind of inequalities. This dream nation should be the dream of every citizen living here, and then only the desired result will be seen. Every citizen should work and act accordingly so that our future generation will be proud of the nation they are born in, and the other countries of the world will take inspiration from India.

It would be a place where the betterment of the country would be the sole agenda of the government.

India of My Dreams Essay 3 (400 words)

India takes pride in being home to people belonging to different castes, creeds and religions. The country is known for its rich culture and unity in diversity. It has also seen a boom in various industries over the past few decades. However, we still have a long way to go. Here are some of the areas that we need to work on in order to make it an ideal nation:

There is a lot of economic disparity in the country. The rich here are becoming richer and the poor are becoming poorer by the day. I dream of India where wealth is equally distributed among the citizens.

Lack of education is one of the main hindrances in the growth of the nation. The government is making efforts to spread awareness about the importance of education. However, it should also take steps to ensure that each and every person in the country seeks education.

There is a lack of good employment opportunities in the country. Even those who are well-qualified fail to get deserving jobs. The dissatisfaction level among the unemployed lot is high and they often take the road to crime. I dream of India that provides equal employment opportunities for all so that each one of us works for the growth and betterment of our country.

Casteism is another major issue that needs to be worked upon. India of my dreams would be a place where people are not discriminated based on their caste, creed or religion.

India of my dreams would be a place where women are given due respect and treated as being equal to men. It would be a place where women safety would be of utmost importance.

  • Technological Growth

India has seen a rapid growth in the field of technology. I want it to grow at an even greater pace and attain newer heights to make its place among the first-rate countries.

I dream of India where people of different castes, creeds, religions, ethnic groups and economic/ social status live in perfect harmony with each other. There should be a fair play and government must ensure equal employment opportunities for all its citizens.

India of My Dreams Essay 4 (500 words)

India of my dreams would be a country where freedom of equality is enjoyed in its true sense. It would be a place where no discrimination is done on the basis of a person’s caste, creed, religion or social/economic status. I also dream of it as a place that sees abundance of industrial and technological growth. Here are some of the areas that particularly require attention:

Women Empowerment

Though more and more women are stepping out of their homes and making a mark in different fields there is still a lot of discrimination against women in our country. From female foeticide to restricting women to household tasks, there are a lot of areas that need to be worked upon. Many non-profit organizations have come forward to promote women empowerment. However, we still have to work a lot on changing the mindset of the society. I dream of India that sees women as an asset not a liability. I want it to be a place where men and women are treated as equals.

Though the government of India is making efforts to promote the significance of seeking education, many people in the country still don’t realize its importance. India of my dreams would be a place where education is made mandatory for all. The government must go a step further to ensure that no child in the country is devoid of education.

Employment Opportunities

Many qualified youths in the country fail to get good employment opportunities. The opportunities are either limited or do not pay enough to the deserving candidates. This is mainly because of weak industrial growth. There are certain other factors such as reservation that bar the deserving candidates from getting good opportunity. Many of the youths who fail to get good employment opportunities in India fly abroad and put their minds to work for the economic growth of other countries while others roam around unemployed.

Caste Discrimination

The country is still not completely free of discrimination on the basis of caste, creed and religion. It is sad to see how people belonging to the lower and weaker sections are even denied their basic rights in certain parts of the country. Besides, there are various fundamentalist and separatist groups that provoke people to propagate their religion and talk ill about the others. This often leads to unrest in the country. I dream of India where people are not discriminated based on their caste and religion.

Corruption is one of the main reasons why India is unable to grow at the speed at which it should. Instead of making an effort to serve the country, the political leaders here are busy filling their own pockets. I dream of India where the ministers are dedicated wholly and solely towards the development of the country and its citizens.

India of my dreams would be a country that sees all its citizens as equal and does not discriminate them based on any criteria. I dream of a place where women are respected and are seen equal to men. I also want India to see advancements in the field of science, technology, agriculture and education in the times to come.

India of My Dreams Essay 5 (600 words)

India is a country where people belonging to different ethnic groups, castes and religions live amicably. It boasts of a rich, variegated cultural heritage. Though colonized for a long period of time, India has come a long way ever since its independence. It has seen a huge social and economic growth over the last couple of decades. However, there is a lot of economic and social disparity in the county. People are also looked down upon because of their caste and religious preferences in many parts of the country. India of my dreams would be a place where every citizen enjoys true freedom of equality.

Areas of Improvement

There are a number of areas that our country still needs to work upon in order to grow and develop further. Here is a look at the four key areas that require immediate attention:

Education is the building block for any nation. One of the major drawbacks in our country is that people still do not recognize the importance of education. Those living in poverty or below poverty line particularly overlook the importance of getting educated. They do not realize that lack of education is one of the main factors responsible for their poverty. The Government is taking steps to ensure that more and more people have access to education by way of promoting the right of free and compulsory education for children and also by opening adult education schools. India of my dreams would be a place where every citizen is educated and skilled.

Gender discrimination is another issue that needs to be worked upon. While women are becoming aware of their rights and are doing well in various fields, they still have to fight a number of odds in order to make their place in the society. The birth of a girl child is still considered a curse in many parts of the country. Girls are not encouraged to go for higher studies. Even those who are well-qualified are expected to look after their family post marriage rather than working outside. At work, the wages paid to women are lesser than that paid to the men and the list of discrimination goes on. I dream of India that is devoid of discrimination against women.

  • Technological Advancement

While India has seen a lot of growth and advancement in the field of science and technology, it still requires working harder in this sphere. It is sad to see how genius minds from the country fly abroad to seek employment opportunities and contribute to the technological and industrial advancements of those countries rather than contributing to the development of their own country. I dream of India that offers good employment opportunities to deserving individuals and together all work towards the further technological advancement of the country.

The crime rate in India is growing by the day. Numerous cases of rape, robbery, dowry and murder are reported each day and many others go unnoticed/unreported. Lack of education, unemployment and poverty majorly attribute towards this. India of my dreams would be a country where the government is more sensitive towards the safety and security of the people. It would be a place free from all kinds of crime and exploitation.

India has seen a rapid industrial growth, technological advancement and progress in several other fields over the last few decades. However, there is still a lot of scope for improvement. India was once called the golden sparrow because of the prosperity it enjoyed. I want the country to attain that glory yet again. I do not want it to enjoy just economic richness but also become richer culturally and socially. All the citizens of the country must be treated equally and there should be no discrimination or injustice.

India of My Dreams – Short Essay 1.

I believe that each one of us is a patriot . We all believe in the potential that India has and have great dreams for the country. Today I am here to share with you my dreams that I have for India.

I’m sure that the glory of India can never be exaggerated . However, we need to recognise that we have several challenges and shortfalls that have affected that glory immensely.

Economic Equality: My dream India would espouse economic equality . There are millions of people who are unable to get a basic meal. Economic equality would ensure that everyone has the resources that they require to meet their needs.

Education and Employment: Former President APJ Abdul Kalam dreamed of a India where all are educated and employed . He envisioned everyone as being happy and satisfied . I think this is a very important part of my dream for India. A country is made of people and stands for the people. A country has attained its dreams only when the people are happy and content. The resources in the country need to be put to productive use in such a way that the people of the country are benefited. This vision as a dream I believe is very important. Education and employment are fundamental for it.

Women empowerment and equality: The position and status of women in India is low. Though, our constitution has guaranteed equal rights to every citizen of India, still many of women are deprived of their rights. The India of my dream will strengthen and empower women. The women would play greater role in the overall economic decisions for the betterment of our country. There will be more women pilots, doctors, soldiers, officers and teachers. The society will stop objectifying women.  The birth of a girl child will be celebrated. Girls will be encouraged to go to schools. My dream India will be free from gender-bias and inequality.

The dreams for my country can go on beyond this speech. We need the youth of this country to come together and fight for the nation and build a nation befitting our dreams.

By Teamwork

India of My Dreams – Short Essay 2.

India is my homeland and reason we all are living a perfect and happy life.

Rights: I dream for my country, India, to be a happy and productive country where we people are aware of their rights and happily follow or complete their duties. They think of country above their individual needs.

More Production of Agriculture: India of my dream should produce more crops of high economic importance. In this way, we can export these items also.

A Road Network: Our country needs a very good infrastructure so that it can develop quickly. For this purpose, a network of roads and railways should be constructed in India. More people will get the chance to travel and earn more money. It will make the country more productive.

Peaceful environment: A peaceful and calm environment should be provided by them so students can work and devote more time to their research and study.

Strong Defence: I also want that our people and scientists work day and night to bring a positive change in mankind. Weapons should be of such kind that they bring more power to them. The self-destruction of mankind is a very big crime.

Conclusion:

So this is my entire dream about India. It’s not impossible if we all try hard. So we all should just work day and night and work hard so that our country can be more productive and our generations live a healthy and happy life .

India of My Dreams – Long Essay 3.

Every citizen has a dream about his / her ideal nation. Surely every Indian citizen too has some ideas and vision about the ‘Ideal India of his / her dreams’. Like every nation, India too faces some challenges, that are felt by the majority of the Indian citizens. And dealing with these challenges effectively would be the ideal India for a vast majority of the Indian population.

History and Culture

The Indian Civilization is one of the oldest civilizations of the world. It originates from the Indus Valley Civilization. It was a very prosperous civilization that developed the roots for many streams of civilized life including architecture, social behaviour, science, pottery, tool-making, geography, agriculture, etc. The early Indian culture has been the birth-place of many discovering and inventions in the fields of Medicine [Ayurveda], Yoga, Astronomy, Politics [Chanakya-Neeti], Philosophy, Spirituality [Upanishads], etc. India has a rich history and culture in every aspect.

All Indians are proud of their prosperous, rich and intellectually advanced history and culture. It would be great to see this history and culture represented positively in the India of today. The rich Indian culture has many elements that can have solutions to today’s problems in the Indian and the Global society. Indian society should have solutions and applications from its own culture and history rather than aping those from other cultures.

It would make every Indian proud to see the values and learning from its culture and history spread positively across the world. Whereby, the world recognizes and looks upon proudly on all aspects of Indian heritage.

Basic needs for all

There are still vast sections of the Indian population who do not have access to basic needs of clean water, good food, healthy housing and sanitation. The ‘India of my dreams’ will have prioritized correcting this factor above all other factors of development. Happiness for every human being begins with the basic needs being met. A happy country consists of a happy population.

An ideal India would have excellent facilities and reserve plans in place so that the entire Indian population, in all corners of the country has complete and secured access to clean drinking water, good food resources, hygiene facilities, medical care, comfortable housing and sanitation. The Indian administration should be prioritizing these factors above all else and ensuring that they are consolidated in all sections of society.

Infrastructure and Quality of Life

One of the main reasons that the Indian society fails in competing on the global scene today is the lack of international level infrastructure facilities. All progress gets halted every time some part of the infrastructure breaks down. There is great potential for intellectual growth in the Indian population. It requires commitment from the Indian administration to support its population with confident and reliable infrastructure.

An ideal India will have a world-class network of means of transportation, reliable public transport and reliable supply of power, water, internet, etc. Good and wide roads will connect all cities big and small. There will be reliable public transport facilities of trains and buses across all parts of the country. Affordable waterways travel and air travel will be available and accessible to the vast majority of the Indian population: both urban and rural. Reliable electric power and other energy resources will be available in all cities and villages of India.

The infrastructure for all professions including for businesses, agriculture and modern professions will be affordable and available to the entire Indian population. So that all citizens can achieve their full potential in terms of work satisfaction and career or business growth.

India will be an example to the world in terms of business, financial growth and economic development.

International Role, Strategy and Positioning

Today the ‘Indian’ brand is looked down upon in various parts of the globalized world. The strategic international relationships of India as a country are fractured and immature in various parts of the world. India is yet to achieve its full potential on the global map.

In the ‘India of my dreams’, India will be a global leader in world politics. It will be a leader for representing values of global co-operation, global peace and harmony. India will be strategically positioned as peaceful negotiator in all global conflicts. India will be a leader that exhibits the value of Economic Growth for one and all, based on the principles of Global Collaboration and International Unity of Purpose.

Spirituality and Meditation

Traditionally, India is a land of Spiritual Growth and Understanding. The Indian Culture is rich in methods of Spiritual Practice, Development and Meditation. But the application of this rich history is lacking in today’s Indian Society.

In an ideal India, the rich Spiritual Practices and Meditation techniques will be implemented in the daily lives of the entire Indian population. The population will be proud to use and implement these in their daily lives. While the rest of the world looks upon India as a Spiritual guide, India will stand-up to this role and ‘Walk the Talk’ of Spiritual Growth in its entire population.

Every Indian will be a representative of this powerful element of life to the rest of the world. An Indian will exhibit and teach the values of Meditation and Spiritual Practices.

Being an Indian will mean being a uniquely ‘happy and prosperous individual’ in a wholesome way.

The ‘India of my dreams’ for every Indian represents a harmonious representation of its rich culture, values of global peace, global leadership, economic development and spiritual vision on the global scene. Being an Indian will and should mean being an example of living a ‘truly happy, full-filled and peaceful life, internally and externally’.

It should be a place where different ethnic groups live in perfect harmony with each other.

I also dream of India as a nation where every citizen is educated. Adults who have missed a chance to study during their childhood must also join adult education classes to seek education to find a better job.

I want the government to provide equal employment opportunities for all so that the youth get deserving jobs and contribute to the growth of the nation. Dreams of India Essay 2 (300 words)

India is a multi-cultural, multi-lingual, and multi-religious society that has seen steady progress in various spheres over the last century. I dream of India that progresses at an even greater pace and joins the list of developed countries in no time. Here are the key areas that need attention in order to make it a better place:

Education and Employment

I dream of India, where every citizen is educated and is able to find a deserving employment opportunity. No one can stop the growth and development of a nation full of educated and talented individuals.

Caste and Religious Issues

India of my dreams would be a place where people would not be discriminated against on the basis of their caste or religion. This would go a long way in strengthening the nation.

Industrial and Technological Growth

While India has seen industrial and technological growth in the past few decades, it is still not at par with many other countries. I dream of India that advances technologically and sees a boom in every sector.

There is a lot of corruption in the country, and its rate is only growing by the day. The common man is suffering at the hands of corrupt politicians who are only interested in fulfilling their own selfish motives. I dream of India that is free from corruption at all levels. It would be where the betterment of the country would be the sole agenda of the government.

Gender Discrimination

It is sad to see that even after proving themselves in every sphere of life, women are still considered inferior to men. I dream of India, where there is no gender discrimination. It would be a place where men and women are treated as equals.

In short, the India of my dreams would be where people feel happy and secure and enjoy a good quality of life.

India of My Dreams Essay 3 (400 words)

India is proud to be home to people of different castes, creeds, and religions. The country is known for its rich culture and unity in diversity. It has also seen a boom in various industries over the past few decades. However, we still have a long way to go. Here are some of the areas that we need to work on in order to make it an ideal nation:

There is a lot of economic disparity in the country. The rich here are becoming richer, and the poor are becoming poorer by the day. I dream of India, where wealth is equally distributed among the citizens.

Lack of education is one of the main hindrances to the growth of the nation. The government is making efforts to spread awareness about the importance of education. However, it should also take steps to ensure that each and every person in the country seeks education.

There is a lack of good employment opportunities in the country. Even those who well-qualified fail to get deserving jobs. The unemployed highly dissatisfied, and they often take the road to crime. I dream of India that provides equal employment opportunities for all so that each of us works for the growth and betterment of our country.

Casteism is another major issue that needs to be worked upon. India of my dreams would be a place where people are not discriminated against based on their caste, creed, or religion.

India of my dreams would a place where women are given due respect and treated as being equal to men. It would be where women’s safety would be of utmost importance.

I dream of India as being a place free of corruption. It would a place where the political leaders would dedicated to serving the countries rather than fulfilling their own selfish motifs.

Technological Growth

India has seen rapid growth in the field of technology. I want it to grow at an even greater pace and attain newer heights to make its place among the first-rate countries.

I dream of India, where people of different castes, creeds, religions, ethnic groups, and economic/ social statuses live in perfect harmony with each other. There should be fair play, and government must ensure equal employment opportunities for all its citizens.

India of My Dreams Essay 4 (500 words)

India of my dreams would a country where freedom of equality enjoyed in its true sense. It would a place where no discrimination is done on the basis of a person’s caste, creed, religion, or social/economic status. I also dream of it as a place that sees an abundance of industrial and technological growth. Here are some of the areas that particularly require attention:

Women Empowerment

Though more and more women are stepping out of their homes and making a mark in different fields, there is still a lot of discrimination against women in our country. From female foeticide to restricting women to household tasks, there a lot of areas that need to worked upon. Many non-profit organizations have come forward to promote women’s empowerment. However, we still have to work a lot on changing the mindset of society. I dream of India that sees women as an asset, not a liability. I want it to be where men and women treated as equals.

Though the government of India is making efforts to promote the significance of seeking education, many people in the country still don’t realize its importance. India of my dreams would be a place where education made mandatory for all. The government must go further to ensure that no child in the country is devoid of education.

Employment Opportunities

Many qualified youths in the country fail to get good employment opportunities. The opportunities limited or do not pay enough to the deserving candidates. This is mainly because of weak industrial growth. Other factors, such as reservations, prevent deserving candidates from getting good opportunities. Many youths who fail to get good employment opportunities in India fly abroad and put their minds to work for other countries’ economic growth, while others roam around unemployed.

Caste Discrimination

The country is still not completely free of discrimination on the basis of caste, creed, and religion. It is sad to see how people belonging to the lower and weaker sections are even denied their basic rights in certain parts of the country. Besides, various fundamentalist and separatist groups provoke people to propagate their religion and talk ill about others. This often leads to unrest in the country. I dream of India, where people not discriminated against based on caste and religion.

Corruption is one of the main reasons why India cannot grow at the speed it should. Instead of making an effort to serve the country, the political leaders here are busy filling their own pockets. I dream of India, where the ministers dedicated wholly and solely to the country’s and its citizens’ development.

India of my dreams would be a country that sees all its citizens as equal and does not discriminate against them based on any criteria. All of us being inhabitants or citizens of our country naturally dream of what kind of a country we desire. We even dream of building the kind of country we want. India is a large country with an amazing wealth of diversity. With the onset of the new millennium, historians, sociologists and other experts predict that only three Asian countries seem to be the ones who can or have the potential of taking Asia to great heights i.e, India, China and Japan. China and India seem to be more dominating and promising because of their impressive size and huge manpower. India, marching gloriously ahead after her Independence, is emerging as a force to reckon with.

But a lot needs to be done at home front as illiteracy, population explosion, poverty, unemployment, corrupt politicians as well as bureaucracy are the burning problems of the day. Besides this, we have failed to provide basic needs of life to all the citizens like safe and clean drinking water, housing, sanitation, a square meal a day, medical facilities etc. Moreover, the problem of malnutrition, AIDS etc are growing day-by-day. India has the world’s third-largest population suffering from HIV /AIDS. According to the WHO report, about 2.5 million Indians are suffering from AIDS and if nothing is done in this regard India will overtake Africa in the cases of HIV infection. The India of my dreams may appear impractical and a little too imaginative to many, but then this is what I want my country to be. In the land of my dreams, the suffering of millions and the burden of poverty will be no more. The ever-widening gap between the rich and the poor will be bridged.

Education will be free and compulsory, and there will be complete law and order. Crime and violence will no longer be because reason will reign all over. Every citizen will be free to express his/her ideas. No one would be deprived of justice. Everyone will live with dignity. There will be equal rights for everyone. There shall be no discrimination between the rich and the poor, high or low, man or woman.

Malevolent and dividing forces like casteism, regionalism, communalism, parochialism, provincialism, chauvinism will lose their identity and roots. There will be no more corrupt politicians in the country. The country will be run by capable and able youth elected democratically. Terrorism and violence would end. Peace will reign supreme. Bureaucracy will be honest and prompt in their duty. Right incentives will be given to those who are economically backward to bring them at par with others. There would be no minority and no majority feelings. No part of the country would feel side-lined or cut off from the mainstream. There would be no child labour, no exploitation and no one will sleep hungry.

Science and technology will trickle down to every village, town and city. Computer literacy will be cent percent. Science will erase even the least traces of superstitions and ignorance. India will be a haven for scientists. We will produce our own indigenous products and technology. The country will be self-reliant on technology and everything else. Every citizen will be swayed only by one emotion — patriotism and nothing else.

Lets start this India of My Dreams Essay…

Table of Contents

India of My Dreams Essay

Everyone in this world has a vision or a dream related to their future, and so do I, but it’s not about my future but the future of my country. India is a country that is rich in different types of culture and diversity.

It is a large country where people of different castes, different creeds, cultures, religions, and even people speaking different languages live together. For this reason, India is known to be one of the best countries in the world unity in diversity .

Like everyone who dreams about the future of their country, I too dream of seeing India as one of the most advanced and most developed nations in the world. A country where there is no corruption , no poverty , and a 100 percent literacy rate.

My dream country is where women are protected against domestic crime, and no more domination or violence is shown towards the female gender.

When males and females are given equal opportunity in nation building, it would add to faster growth and development of the country.

My dream in India would be when education is provided to everyone along with employment to the deserving candidates. In that manner, crimes and illegal activities can be easily reduced.

Points Needed to Make Our Dream India Possible in 2047

Women empowerment.

The India of my dreams would be one where women are respected everywhere and are treated with equal rights and power as men. Women should have financial independence and decision-making powers in their family .

They must feel safe and protected wherever they go so that they can work with their total energy and potential. Women must be paid equally to do the same work as men so that they can have a chance to pursue a better lifestyle for their families.

Advance Medical Facilities

The primary aim of medical facilities should be to provide better health care for people and protect them from diseases and sickness. Proper health care facilities should be provided to people of all age groups and of all economic backgrounds.

District hospitals should have all the latest equipment and should provide high-quality treatment so that people don’t need to travel to major cities for their treatment. All the staff of the hospital should be adequately trained and have sufficient knowledge to deal with any issue.

Excellent Education Systems

Education is the major factor that can effectively help in nation-building. Though there are a lot of initiatives made by the government to promote education in the country, a lot of people are either unaware of it or don’t realise their importance.

The India of My Dreams would be where there are no uneducated people in the country anymore. Education should be mandatory to achieve a 100% literacy rate.

If we implement an education system that allows everyone proper education, we can also be able to provide employment to everyone to earn money.

Employment Opportunity

India is a country with a population of over 100 crores. This is a reason for unemployment for most people, as there are not enough jobs for everyone.

Most people are educated in the country, but due to corruption, heavy competition, and many other reasons, a lot of people are not able to get a good job.

Apart from that, less pay and fewer opportunities in other sectors are also reasons for unemployment. Reservation is also a major issue, due to which deserving candidates are unable to get the job they deserve.

The India of My Dreams would be a nation where jobs would be provided based on knowledge, skills, and talent, and no partiality should be given to this.

No Caste Discrimination

The people of India are still struggling with issues like caste discrimination , religious discrimination, and religious feelings. This is the major reason that people from the lower section of society are not able to get good social status and respect.

The nation should give them better status and allow them to have equal rights as others. My dream India shall not have any discrimination among the people.

No Corruption

Corruption is one of the major reasons why we are unable to see proper growth and development in our country.

Due to corruption, a large number of people are unable to get jobs, and even the basic infrastructure and society are not functioning properly.

I would like to see India become a strong nation where the primary focus of the government officials and politicians would be to benefit society.

No Gender Inequality

In our country, women are still regarded as inferior to men. They are not given proper economic and social status. They are not given proper protection, and they are still tolerating torture, domestic violence, and dominance.

In the India of My Dreams, women should be able to pursue their rights and dreams freely with full support and enthusiasm. They should be given importance and should be treated equally to men.

Peaceful Society

Day by day, the number of crimes is increasing in the country. This is mainly because of improper education and employment that people are committing minor crimes.

There should be strict rules along with penalty charges and punishment like imprisonment to control crime.

There are many organisations working on creating a peaceful society by educating people about basic things. I dream of a peaceful country where there is no harm to anyone.

The India of My Dreams should be an ideal country where we see a nation of growth and development in all fields.

I hope our coming generation will get all the things we have dreamt of seeing in our dream India. A politically sound and unbiased country where everyone enjoys equal rights and opportunities.

The difference between rich and poor and between males and females should be eliminated. Every citizen should work to make our nation proud on a global level so that all other countries can be inspired by India.

I hope you liked this India of My Dreams Essay.

India Of My Dreams Essay: 500 Words

India Of My Dreams Essay 500 Words

“Our ability to reach unity in diversity will be the beauty and the test of our civilization.” –  Mahatma Gandhi

Indians are those people whose sense of nationality is shaped by great personalities like Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Mahatma Gandhi , and Bhagat Singh. India is a country that harbors people of different cultures, religions, and languages.

As Indians, we cannot stop dreaming about how we want to see our country going forward. We are constantly looking for different methods how to improve our country than it already is. Some are thinking of a better healthcare system, while some dream of a better judicial system or education.

At the end of the day, one dream alone cannot help change a country for the better. It takes thousands, no, hundred thousand of dreamers, to change a  country and improve it. I am one of those dreamers, and my dream about my country is to see an improved education system. Aside from education, India can improve in other sectors like healthcare, employment, technological improvements, etc.

India Of My Dream

The India of my dream will have a higher rate of literacy, and the light of knowledge and education should be burning in every corner of the country. According to 2018, India has a literacy rate of  74.37%.  84.4% of the country’s male population are literate, while the rate for females is 70.3%. We, as a country, have to increase the rate of literacy and spread of lights of education across different corners of the country.

The country already has free education, but it needs a little boosting. More awareness programs need to be organized. Since the population is increasing, we need more schools, colleges, and other educational institutions. The schools need better infrastructures coupled with more teaching staff and new teaching techniques.

Education is, without a doubt, the place to start. But, as an Indian who dreams of a better country, I cannot stop at education only. I dream of an India where peace and prosperity rule and everyone respects the constitution and goes by the law.

A dream India should be equipped with advanced technologies. A countrywide focus on technology will put rationality and science before prejudices. Sophisticated technology and better agriculture can put a stop to bigotry and blind faith. Education and science are the cornerstones of a country’s evolution.

Women have to step out of certain boundaries and restrictions to enter the world and thrive as human beings. I want those boundaries and restrictions to disappear in my dream country, India. It should be normal for women to go to work, find a purpose in life, and represent themselves as a human being instead of limiting their lives inside the home.

The India I dream of needs a better healthcare system. We do have free treatment available at government hospitals. However, treatments for certain diseases are costlier. Some medicines and operation costs are beyond the affordability criteria of the masses. The country can definitely use more doctors and better treatment.

In conclusion, I dream of a better India, be it any aspect like education, health, women empowerment, or technological advancement. I love my country so dearly, and I want to see it improve in all aspects.

India of my dreams Essay: 400 words

Imagine an India with gleaming cities and state-of-the-art infrastructure. High-speed rail connecting villages to vibrant metropolises. Renewable energy powering homes and businesses across the country. World-class universities and research centers leading in innovation. A robust, diversified economy providing opportunity and prosperity for all. I see India not as it is today but as it could be – as it should be.

The India of my dreams

India is a diverse land of many religions, cultures, and ethnicities. For the country to truly progress, we must embrace our diversity and promote inclusiveness. I dream of an United India where people of all faiths and backgrounds live together in harmony. Where women feel safe and empowered, walking down the street at night without fear. Where people aren’t judged by their caste or religion but by their character.

A united India is also one where people of all faiths, backgrounds, and beliefs feel respected and valued. We need to cultivate understanding between communities, address prejudices, and stand together against forces that try to divide us.

Equality and equal opportunity should be available to all Indians regardless of gender, caste, religion or economic status. Greater access to education and skills training can help disadvantaged groups achieve their full potential and contribute to the nation’s success.

To quote the great Kabiguru Rabindranath Tagore, I dream of an India, ‘where the mind is without fear/where the head is held high/where knowledge is free. ’

India’s diversity is what makes it unique. The peaceful co-existence of so many languages, festivals, foods, and traditions is a wonder. We must preserve and promote our cultural heritage in all its diversity.

At the same time, we need to forge a stronger national identity. We should take pride in being Indian, in the achievements of great leaders like Gandhi, Nehru and Netaji and in the glory of our ancient civilization.

A shared sense of nationality and purpose can help unite 1.3 billion Indians. With unity comes strength, and a united India can overcome any challenges to become a global power. But unity requires effort and openness from each of us.

This is the India of my dreams. A nation that honors its rich history while looking boldly to the future. Where diversity is celebrated, potential is unleashed, and hope springs eternal. I firmly believe that my vision for India is within our grasp. We only need to have the courage to reach for it. The power to shape India’s destiny lies in our hands. Together, we can build an India that soars.

Let us embrace diversity but come together as Indians. Let us build a society based on mutual understanding and respect, not divisions. And let us work to spread the light of knowledge, empowerment and progress to every corner of this vast nation. That is the India of my dreams.

India is not just a country; it’s an emotion, a way of life, and a source of inspiration for millions around the globe. In this article, we will explore writing an essay on India of My Dreams.

500 Word Essay on India of My Dreams

India, my beloved motherland, is a nation with an ancient, rich legacy interwoven with a youthful spirit of innovation and possibility. As I envision the India of my dreams for the future, I see a thriving society that seamlessly blends cutting-edge technological advancement with an enduring respect for our diversity and treasured heritage. A place where progress and harmony coexist in perfect equilibrium. At the core of my vision is an India that has fully harnessed the boundless potential of its human capital and emerged as a global leader in science, technology, and sustainable development. I dream of vibrant urban centers that are smart, interconnected, and designed around green, renewable energy sources. A nation at the forefront of industries like artificial intelligence, biotechnology, aerospace, and frontier technologies that enhance human lives while preserving our fragile planet.

The India of my dreams provides state-of-the-art educational infrastructure to nurture the infinite brilliance within our youth from every corner of the country. I envision elite research institutions and innovation hubs that attract the finest minds globally, fostering an ecosystem of groundbreaking ideas and solutions to humanity’s greatest challenges. Yet this technological prowess does not come at the cost of divorcing us from our roots, cultures, and wisdom passed down through millennia.

Hand-in-hand with modernity is a deep reverence for our ancient spiritual and philosophical traditions. The holistic, compassionate ideals of India’s great thinkers and belief systems are seamlessly synthesized into societal progress. By upholding timeless human values like peaceful coexistence, nonviolence, and universal brotherhood, India’s developmental pursuits acquire profoundly deeper meaning and purpose.

In this new, dynamic India of my aspirations, economic prosperity is democratized and inclusive, reaching all strata of society. I envision empowered rural communities liberated from generational poverty cycles through technological empowerment and sustainable village ecosystems. Social mobility is unrestricted, with every Indian having equitable access to quality education, healthcare, and opportunities for growth regardless of backgrounds or demographics. Paramount in this vision is the dream of unifying India’s beautiful diversity into a harmonious whole. Our glorious nation is a brilliant tapestry of cultural, linguistic, ethnic, and religious variations that I hope will forever be joyously celebrated and cherished, bound by a common Indian identity of acceptance and unity. Mutual understanding, coexistence and respectful assimilation will be the celebrated norms in the ideal India.

Most importantly, the democratic core that is India’s greatest asset remains fiercely guarded and nurtured. I envision a society with independent institutions that respect human rights, liberty and freedom of expression unconditionally. One where balanced governance, transparency, rule of law and ethical conduct serve as lighthouses that guide our republic into perpetual peace and egalitarianism. On the world stage, my dream India is a formidable force that leads by example on the most significant global matters. An economic and diplomatic powerhouse that prioritizes sustainable development and harnesses its strengths in technology, innovation, diplomacy and defense in service of humanity. A nation whose ancient principle of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” (the world is one family) is manifested earnestly.

This is the India of my dreams – an enlightened civilization operating at the cutting edge of innovation and prosperity, yet forever grounded in pluralistic compassion and a nurturing, harmonious human embrace for all. An incredible nation that serves as a beacon of hope and inspiration for the entire world. With unified focus and unwavering dedication from every conscientious citizen, I have no doubt that this dream can be actualized for the greater glory of the incredible human potential in Bharat.

800 Word Essay on India of My Dreams

When I close my eyes and imagine the absolute best version of India in the future, I see a perfect balance between the age-old richness of our culture and traditions on one hand, and being a global superpower through cutting-edge technology and innovations on the other. This dream India has one foot firmly rooted in our glorious past, while also taking proud strides towards an ultra-modern, developed society.

In my vision, India remains the vibrant, spiritual beacon it has been for thousands of years. The melodies of ancient Sanskrit shlokas still reverberate through timeless temples. Age-old festivals like Diwali, Holi, Pongal and more are celebrated with just as much zeal, bringing families and communities together in cherished traditions. Our handicrafts, classical arts, yoga, Ayurveda, and other priceless aspects of our heritage are not just preserved, but actively promoted worldwide.

At the same time, this future India is a true global powerhouse that has harnessed the limitless potential of its greatest resource – human capital. My dream is that we build elite education systems and universities that are the envy of the world. Imagine Indian universities mentioned in the same breath as Oxford, Cambridge and MIT. Students from every corner of the globe flock to these bastions of higher learning to gain knowledge from the finest minds. Within the hallowed grounds of these institutions, the brightest Indian and international minds collaborate on pushing the boundaries of science, technology and innovation. Research across cutting-edge fields like artificial intelligence, biotechnology, aerospace engineering, quantum computing, clean energy and more put India at the forefront of human progress. The labs and facilities in these universities are ultramodern marvels.

Thanks to these innovations, the cities and villages of India transform into technological utopias. Our urban centers are green smart cities with hyper-efficient public transport run on renewable energy. Meanwhile, rural areas become self-sufficient hubs with sustainable farming, renewable microgrids, and ample economic opportunities fueled by technology. Connectivity is seamless across the nation with ultra-high-speed internet and communications networks.

India’s academic leadership extends to the realm of space exploration as well. In this dream, the Indian space agency becomes on par with NASA, ESA and other prolific space explorers. Indian scientists, engineers and astronauts would spearhead many interplanetary missions, space stations and groundbreaking celestial research. Who knows, we may even be the first to establish human settlements on Mars some day!

Of course, this vision of a technologically-supercharged society keeps sustainability and human welfare at its core. Eco-friendly and climate change mitigation solutions are pioneered through Indian innovations and initiatives to nurture the environment. Meanwhile, advanced healthcare systems using biological engineering, remote AI-enabled digital clinics, and genomic medicine help eradicate diseases and provide affordable care to all citizens.

None of this incredible progress comes at the cost of losing sight of our ancient ideals and philosophies. Instead, our newfound knowledge helps us truly tap into the wellsprings of wisdom from Indian sages, civilizational emblems, and epics like the Vedas, Upanishads, Gita and Puranas. We apply their spiritual teachings of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ (the world is one family), non-violence, and human unity into building a more conscious, equitable and ethical society in tune with nature.

Economically and geopolitically, India becomes an unparalleled leader on the global stage through both its mastery over transformative technologies and its principled application of our ancestral human values. With innovation as the engine and harmony as the fuel, we steer the world on a path towards sustainable peace and progress.

Unity in diversity remains the bedrock of this dream Indian society. Our multitude of cultures, languages, beliefs, arts, customs, cuisines and more aren’t diluted but rather proudly intermingled in a spirit of mutual respect and celebratory coexistence. By nurturing the mosaic that defines our plural identity, a strong nationalistic spirit emerges – one that takes immense pride in our composite heritage while embracing modernity and development in our stride to glory.

This is the India of my dreams – a nation that melds the timeless jewels of our ancient Bharatiya ethos and heritage with a visionary, New India soaring to new frontiers of scientific exploration and advancement. A society founded on universal brotherhood, environmental consciousness, knowledge sharing and state-of-the-art human upliftment. An enlightened civilization that is humankind’s guiding light for generations to come.

With dedication, youthful energy, good governance and the eternal ideals embedded in our cultural DNA, I have no doubt that we can manifest this dream into reality. This is the incredible destiny awaiting India! An inspiring synthesis of our storied past and a futuristic vision of upliftment for the world. I dream of the day when this perfect blend of pride in heritage and technological progress becomes our living, breathing reality.

Long Essay On India Of My Dreams

India is a country in South Asia. It is the seventh-largest country by area and has over 1.3 billion people. It is home to a variety of cultures and religions, including Hinduism, Islam, Christianity, Sikhism, and Jainism. India also has a rich history dating back to 2500 BC. The country’s economy is one of the fastest-growing in the world. India is a nuclear weapons state and has played an important role in global affairs.

The History of India

The history of India is one of the oldest and most complex in the world. The region has seen a dizzying array of cultures, languages, religions and political systems over the millennia. From the Vedic period until today, India has been a country with a rich cultural heritage.

The first inhabitants of present-day India were probably nomadic Homo sapiens who migrated from Africa about 50,000 years ago. Over the next few thousand years they settled down and began to develop agriculture. Around 4000 BC, the Indus Valley Civilization flourished in what is now Pakistan. This great culture was characterized by monumental architecture, including enormous brick structures that have still not been fully excavated.

Around 1500 BC, several small kingdoms emerged in what is now northern India. These kingdoms grew more powerful over time and eventually merged to form the mighty Mauryan Empire around 300 BC. Under Mauryan rule, Indian culture reached its zenith with great achievements in art, literature and architecture. The empire was eventually destroyed by Alexander the Great in 326 BC but it had a profound impact on subsequent Indian history.

Following Alexander’s death, his generals divided up his empire among themselves. One of these generals was Chandragupta Maurya who managed to reunite most of the empire under his rule. Chandragupta Maurya was a brilliant military strategist who greatly expanded the empire and implemented many innovative administrative reforms that helped make it prosperous and powerful. He also founded one of the most famous Indian empires, the Gupta Empire.

The Gupta Empire was a major cultural and political force in India for over two centuries. It was eventually overthrown by the Muslim armies of conqueror Mahmud of Ghazni in 1191 AD. This event marked the beginning of the Muslim rule over much of India. Muslim missionaries began to spread Islam throughout India and soon large areas were under Muslim control.

Under Muslim rule, Indian culture continued to flourish. Many great scholars, including Ibn Sina (Avicenna), Muhammad ibn Zakariya al-Razi and Jalaluddin Rumi, were born during this period. In 1526, the Mogul Empire was founded by Babur, a descendant of the Mongolian rulers who had invaded India in the 13th century. The Mogul Empire was an impressive military power and its legacy can still be seen in India today, most notably in the form of the Delhi Sultanate which ruled much of northern India from 1526 until 1707.

In 1757, the British East India Company defeated the Mogul Empire and gained control of much of northern India. The British Raj (or British Rule) was an uneasy alliance between British colonial authorities and various Indian ruling classes that lasted until 1947. The British Raj was marked by a strong emphasis on Westernization and modernization, which led to the spread of English language education, commercialism and Christianity throughout India.

The Indian independence movement began in the late 18th century and eventually led to the independence of India in 1947. India has since emerged as one of the world’s leading economic and political powers. It is a nuclear-armed country and its influence extends across South Asia, Southeast Asia, East Africa and parts of Central and South America.

Religion in India

Religion in India is a very big and diverse topic. There are many religions in India and each has its own set of beliefs and practices. Some of the main religions in India are Hinduism, Islam, Christianity, and Sikhism.

Hinduism is the largest religion in India and is based on the teachings of the Vedas. Hindus believe that there is one supreme deity, known as Brahman, who created the world and all that exists in it. Hindus also believe in karma and reincarnation. Muslims in India belong to different sects, such as Sunni, Shia, Ahmadiya, Qadiani etc., but they share some common beliefs, including the belief in one God (Allah), prophets Muhammad and Jesus Christ, and the need to follow Islamic law. Christians account for about 10% of the Indian population and their main religion is Christianity. Christians have coexisted peacefully with Hindus for centuries but there has been growing hostility between the two groups since religious conversions from Hinduism to Christianity decreased dramatically after independence from British rule in 1947. Sikhs follow their own scripture called Guru Granth Sahib which contains spiritual teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Sikhism is not considered a part of either Hindu or Muslim faiths but it does have some similarities with both religions.

Sikh temples are often brightly coloured and decorated with elaborate murals depicting Sikh history and religious scenes from sacred Sikh texts such as The Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.

The Economy of India

India is the world’s second most populous country with over 1.3 billion people. It is also one of the most diverse countries in the world, with more than 250 languages spoken. India has a rich culture and history that dates back thousands of years. Today, India ranks as one of the fastest-growing economies in the world.

The Indian economy is dominated by services, with agriculture, manufacturing, and mining playing a smaller role. The country’s major economic sectors are agriculture, industry, services, trade, finance and investment, and tourism. The government plays an important role in promoting economic growth by investing in infrastructure projects and by providing support to businesses through various policies and programs.

The economy of India is highly dependent on foreign investment and exports. In recent years, India has been attracting significant investment from abroad because of its growing economy and potential for development. India has become a major destination for foreign direct investment (FDI). In 2016, FDI inflows into India amounted to $51 billion—the highest ever recorded figure—and this figure is projected to reach $65 billion by 2021. This influx of FDI has led to increased investment in industries such as information technology (IT), pharmaceuticals, automobile manufacturing, and Infrastructure Development Projects (IDPs).

In recent years, there have been concerns about rising inflation rates in India due to high consumer demand and increasing agricultural prices. However, the macroeconomic stability of the Indian economy continues to be strong overall because of the government’s efforts to maintain fiscal and monetary discipline. Inflation is currently at 5.7 percent, which is below the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) target range of 6-6.5 percent. The RBI has also maintained its accommodative stance, which has helped to support the Indian economy through low interest rates.

The overall growth rate of the Indian economy has been impressive in recent years, with real GDP growth averaging 7.5 percent annually between 2013 and 2016. However, Growth Rates vary significantly across sectors of the economy, with agriculture and manufacturing experiencing lower growth rates while IT and other services have been growing at a faster pace. In 2017, the growth rate slowed to 7.3 percent due to demonetization—the withdrawal of high-value currency notes from circulation—and a weak global economy. Despite these challenges, the Indian economy is expected to continue expanding at a strong rate in 2018 and 2019 because of continued investment in infrastructure projects and robust consumer demand.

Languages spoken in India

India is a country with a vast area and diverse cultures. It is the home to more than 1,000 different languages and dialects. India also has over 30 official languages. The majority of Indians speak Hindi, followed by English. However, there are many other languages spoken in India including Bengali, Telugu, Tamil, Marathi, Gujarati and Assamese. In addition to these languages, many people also speak foreign languages such as French, German and Japanese. There are also hundreds of indigenous tribes living in India who speak their own dialects of the original Indian language.

People of India

There is no one definitive answer to the question of who constitutes the people of India. The population of India is highly diverse, with a large number of people who are descended from various other parts of the world. This diversity has resulted in a wide range of cultural traditions and languages being spoken in India.

The majority of Indians are Hindus. Hinduism is a religion that originated in northwestern India and is now practiced by a large majority of Indians. Muslims are the second-largest religious group in India, accounting for about 13% of the population. Christianity is also present in significant numbers, with about 18% of the population identifying as followers of this faith. There are also sizable populations of Buddhists and Jains, as well as smaller numbers of adherents to other religions.

Everyone in this world has a dream. One always makes plans about the future. I too dream of an India that is perfect. It would be an India in which there would be no racism, communalism, and regionalism. First of all, I would root out communalism, whatever its shape or form may be. All such tendencies which fan the forces of separatism and disruption would be eliminated. An Essay of India of My Dreams is given below.

“You have to Drema before your dreams can come true”.

India of My Dreams Essay

Long And Short Essay On India Of My Dreams 500 Words for Kids and Students In English

I want India to be scientifically advanced, technologically better and agriculturally advanced. I would like to build an India where logic and scientific ideas would prevail over blind faith and fanaticism. Crude emotionalism and coarse sentimentalism would never rule. I would like to bring India to the apex of scientific and technological progress because the modern age is the age of science and information technology. Every country which wants to prosper and progress must give due importance to science and information technology, otherwise, it cannot achieve a good standard of living for its citizens.

The India of my dreams would be an India that is self-sufficient in food. All the barren lands would be cultivated for achieving self-sufficiency in food-grains. Agriculture would be given special attention because agriculture is the backbone of the Indian economy. Another green revolution would be brought about by launching intensive agricultural programmes and farmers would be asked to use better seeds and fertilisers as well as modern tools and implements.

Next, I would like the country to be highly industrialised. This is the age of industrialisation and in this age, the country should be taken to the zenith of progress and prosperity.

I would also strengthen India’s defence. The country would be so strong that no enemy would ever dare cast his covetous eyes on the sacred soil of India. Defence and security of the country would be of paramount importance. For achieving this objective, the country would be equipped with all the paraphernalia of modern defence because people worship military power in the present world. We have proved during the Kargil war that we are second to none but we would have to work harder for military supremacy.

Elimination of ignorance and illiteracy would be my next priorities because these are banes for any society. People would be educated on a mass-scale. Then, the system of democracy could be more pragmatic. Individual liberty and freedom would be defined and granted in the letter as well as spirit.

Another thing, which I would like to see in the India of my dreams, would be the abridgment of the gap between the rich and the poor. National income would be distributed rationally among all sections of society. Provision of food, housing, and clothing to one and all would be given top priority in the India of my dreams. For achieving and accomplishing this, socialism would be the only remedy which, if practiced sincerely, would usher India into an era of economic equality.

If these measures are taken with utmost sincerity, India would soon be counted among the most powerful countries of the world and would also guide those countries that are still slaves of big powers. It would be an India that Rabindranath Tagore described in his lines:

“Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high, where knowledge is free where the world has not been broken up into fragments, by narrow domestic walls.”

Short Essay On India Of My Dreams 250 Words

India enjoys a rich cultural heritage. People belonging to various castes, creeds, and religions live peacefully in this country. However, there are certain groups of people that try to incite people to serve their vested interests thereby hampering peace in the country. I dream of India that is devoid of such divisive tendencies. It should be a place where different ethnic groups live in perfect harmony with each other.

I also dream of India as being a nation where every citizen is educated. I want the people of my country to understand the importance of education and ensure that their children seek education rather than indulging in menial jobs at a tender age. Adults who have missed a chance to study during their childhood must also join adult education classes to seek education in order to find a better job for themselves.

I want the government to provide equal employment opportunities for all so that the youth get deserving jobs and contribute towards the growth of the nation. I want the country to become technologically advanced and see growth in all the sectors. Lastly, I want India to be a country where women are treated with respect and are given equal opportunities as men.

Short Essay On India Of My Dreams In 300 Words

India is a multi-cultural, multi-lingual and multi-religious society that has seen steady progress in various spheres over the last century. I dream of India that progresses at an even greater pace and joins the list of the developed countries in no time. Here are the key areas that need attention in order to make it a better place:

  • Education and Employment:  I dream of India where every citizen is educated and is able to find a deserving employment opportunity. No one can stop the growth and development of a nation full of educated and talented individuals.
  • Caste and Religious Issues:  India of my dreams would be a place where people would not be discriminated against on the basis of their caste or religion. This would go a long way in strengthening the nation.
  • Industrial and Technological Growth:  While India has seen both industrial and technological growth in the past few decades, it is still not at par with many other countries. I dream of India that advances technologically and sees a boom in every sector.
  • Corruption:  There is a lot of corruption in the country and its rate is only growing by the day. The common man is suffering at the hands of corrupt politicians who are only interested in fulfilling their own selfish motives. I dream of India that is free from corruption at all levels. It would be a place where the betterment of the country would be the sole agenda of the government.
  • Gender Discrimination:  It is sad to see how even after proving themselves in every sphere of life women are still considered to be inferior to men. I dream of India where there is no gender discrimination. It would be a place where men and women are treated as equals.

This was because of the rapid industrialisation after independence and the introduction of Liberalisation, Globalisation and Privatisation in 1991-92.

There is a lot of corruption in the country and its rate is increasing rapidly every day. The common man is suffering at the hands of corrupt politicians who are only interested in fulfilling their selfish motives. The India of my dreams will be free from corruption. This will be a country where the welfare of the people will be the sole agenda of the government.

  • gender discrimination

It is very sad to see that even after proving themselves in every sphere of life, women are still considered inferior to men. There will be no gender discrimination in the India of my dreams. It would be a place where men and women were treated as equals.

In short, the India of my dreams would be a place where people feel happy and secure and enjoy a good quality of life.

Essay 2 (400 words)

We are proud that people belonging to different castes, religions and religions live together in India. Our country is known for its rich culture and unity in diversity. India has also seen a boom in various industries in the last few decades. However, we still have a long way to go for its prosperity.

Here are some examples of areas that working on can help make India a model country:

Economic inequality in the country is very high. Here the rich are getting richer day by day and the poor are becoming poorer. I dream of an India where wealth is equally distributed among citizens.

Lack of education is one of the main obstacles in the growth of the nation. The government is making efforts to spread awareness about the importance of education. However, steps should also be taken to ensure that every person in the country has the right to education.

There is a dearth of good employment opportunities in the country. Even those who are qualified have been unable to get good jobs. The dissatisfaction level among the unemployed is very high and they are often found committing street crimes. The India of my dreams is that India which provides equal employment opportunities to all so that we all work for the development and improvement of our country.

Racism is another big issue that needs to be addressed. The India of my dreams would be a place where people are not discriminated against on the basis of caste, creed or religion.

The India of my dreams will be a place where women are respected and given equal importance to men. This would be a place where the safety of women would be of utmost importance.

I dream of an India which is free from corruption. It will be a place where political leaders will be devoted to the service of the countries instead of fulfilling their own selfish interests.

  • technological development

India has seen rapid growth in the field of technology. I wish the India of my dreams to grow at a faster pace and scale newer heights to make its place among the first-class countries.

The India of my dreams is the India where people of different castes, creeds, religions, ethnic groups and economic and social status live in perfect harmony with each other. In the India of my dreams, the government should ensure equal employment opportunities for all its citizens.

Essay 3 (500 words)

The India of my dreams would be a country where equality of liberty is found in its truest sense. It shall be a place where no discrimination is made on the basis of caste, creed, religion, social or economic status of any person. I also see it as a place that has seen rapid development in the industrial and technological sectors. Here are some areas that need special attention:

women empowerment

In today’s time, more and more women are coming out of their homes and making their mark in different fields, but still the women of our country are still victims of discrimination. From female feticide to restricting women in domestic work, there is still a need to work in many areas. Many non-profit organizations have come forward to promote women empowerment. However, we have to do a lot of work on changing the mindset of the society. I dream of an India where women will get equal status.

Although the Government of India is making efforts to promote the importance of demand for education, still many people in the country are not realizing its importance. The India of my dreams will be a place where education is compulsory for all. To ensure education for all, the government should take necessary steps so that no child in the country remains devoid of education.

employment opportunities

Many eligible youth of the country are not getting employment opportunities. Opportunities are either limited or not commensurate with the need of the eligible candidates. The main reason behind this is weak industrial growth. Apart from this there are some other factors such as reservation which prevent the deserving candidates from getting good opportunities. Many youths who fail to find employment opportunities in India go abroad and use their skilled minds to work for the economic development of other countries while some people roam unemployed due to lack of work for whole life.

caste discrimination

The country is still not free from discrimination on the basis of caste, creed and religion. It is very sad to see how the people belonging to weaker sections are still being deprived of their basic rights in some parts of the country.

Apart from this, there are many different fundamentalist and separatist groups who incite people to propagate their religion and propagate wrong thing about the religion of others. This often leads to unrest in the country. I dream of an India where people are not discriminated against on the basis of caste and religion.

Corruption is the main obstacle in the pace of development of India. It seems that instead of serving the country, the political leaders here are busy filling their pockets. The India of my dreams would be the one where ministers were completely dedicated to the development of the country and its citizens.

The India of my dreams would be a country that treats all its citizens as equal and does not discriminate against them on the basis of any criteria. I dream of a place where women are respected and treated as men. I want India to progress in the field of science, technology, agriculture and education in the coming times.

Essay 4 (600 words)

India is a country where people of different ethnic groups, castes and religions live in harmony. India is proud of its rich, diverse cultural heritage. However, India has come a long way since its independence. It has seen a huge social and economic development over the past few decades but economic and social inequalities still exist in many parts of the country. In many parts of the country, people are looked down upon on the basis of their caste and religious preferences. The India of my dreams will be a place where every citizen will get real freedom of equality.

areas of improvement

There is still a lot of work that needs to be done for the country to progress and develop. Here’s a look at four key areas that need immediate attention:

Education is the foundation of the strength of any country. One of the major drawbacks of our country is that people still do not recognize the importance of education. People living in poverty or below poverty line especially overlook the importance of being educated. What they do not know is that lack of education is one of the main factors responsible for poverty. The government is taking steps to ensure that more people have access to free education for their children through promoting the right to compulsory education and opening adult education schools. The India of my dreams will be a place where every citizen is educated and skilled.

Gender discrimination is another issue that needs to be addressed. Women are constantly being made aware about their rights and they are also performing well in various fields, yet women have to fight many hurdles to make their place in the society.

The birth of a girl child is still considered a curse in many parts of the country. Girls are not encouraged for higher education. Even women who are qualified are expected to take care of their families rather than work outside after marriage. The wages paid to women at work are less than the wages paid to men. I dream of an India that is free from discrimination against women.

  • technological advancement

Although India has seen a lot of development and advancement in the field of science and technology, still there is a need to work hard in this field. It is very sad to see that instead of contributing to the development of their country, people with sharp intellect go abroad to seek employment opportunities and contribute to the technological and industrial advancement of those countries. The India of my dreams is that India which provides good employment opportunities for individuals and provides a new direction to the country on the path of technological progress.

The crime rate in India is increasing day by day. Many cases of rape, dacoity, dowry and murder are being registered every day. Many cases are not being heard at all. Lack of education, unemployment and poverty have given impetus in this direction. The India of my dreams would be a country where the government is more sensitive towards the safety and security of the people. Only then India will be free from crime and exploitation.

India has witnessed rapid industrial development, technological advancement and progress in many other areas in the last few decades. However there is still a lot of room for improvement. India was called the golden bird because of its richness in earlier times. I want the country to regain that glory. I want him to enjoy not only economic prosperity but also culturally and socially rich. All citizens of the country should be treated equally and there should be no discrimination or injustice against anyone.

A Gen Xer who got $250,000 in student loans forgiven said he can now finally start saving for retirement — and consider his dream of studying in India

  • Joel Lambdin, 49, received $250,000 in student-loan forgiveness in January.
  • It's a result of the Education Department's one-time account adjustments.
  • Lambdin said the relief would allow him to save for retirement and consider long-term dreams.

Insider Today

Joel Lambdin finished graduate school in 1998 — but as a professional musician, he was hardly making enough money to pay off his student loans and other bills.

So Lambdin, now 49, said his only option to make ends meet was to put his student loans in forbearance — in which he was not making payments but interest was still accumulating .

"It was just so that I could subsist, so that I could survive," Lambdin told Business Insider. "With the hope that at some point, I would be making enough money that I would be able to take them out of forbearance and start paying them down."

But he grew to realize that the only way he could make a significant dent in his student loans was by switching careers. He didn't want to do that because he loved working in music, so he decided to keep his larger student loan in forbearance and begin paying off his smaller loan with a lower monthly payment.

He continued making those payments until the pandemic pause on student-loan payments , at which point he and his wife started making a plan of action to tackle the larger debt once the pause ended. That led them to discover the Education Department's initiative allowing some borrowers a one-time account adjustment . It lets the department evaluate borrowers' accounts and update payment progress toward forgiveness on income-driven repayment plans and Public Service Loan Forgiveness, including any payments made during a forbearance period.

That account adjustment led to a letter Lambdin received on January 31, reviewed by BI, from his student-loan servicer Aidvantage. It said: "Congratulations! The Biden-Harris Administration has forgiven your federal student loan(s) listed below with Aidvantage in full."

For Lambdin, that letter meant his $249,255 outstanding student-loan balance was effectively wiped out.

"It had started to feel like my fate was being decided for me by the cold hand of finance," Lambdin said, "and that was a weight that I didn't realize was there until it wasn't there."

He added: "The feeling was much more like putting down a backpack that was really full of books that you got used to. And then you put it down, and you're like, 'Oh, man, that feels so much better.' It's more like that, rather than sort of a jump-for-joy kind of situation."

While Lambdin is still working to determine what exactly the relief will mean for him and his wife, he said, discussing retirement is "a much more present conversation now" because contributing to savings is viable after the relief. He can also begin to look into buying a home.

Related stories

The Education Department continues to cancel student debt through its one-time account adjustments, a process it plans to complete this summer. Most recently, the department wiped out $7.4 billion in student debt for 277,000 borrowers , some of whom benefited from the adjustments.

Beyond financial goals, Lambdin said the relief was also allowing him the freedom to pursue some of his long-term dreams, including taking a sabbatical to study with his meditation teacher in India.

"It's something that I wouldn't have been able to even consider doing if we had to pay off student loans, but without them, it's something that I can really seriously consider doing," he said. "And so those are the kinds of things that I think get really lost in the monetary side of the conversation about debt relief."

'I've been really lucky'

While Lambdin said he felt as though he earned the relief given his decades of payments, he recognized that it's not that easy for many other borrowers.

For example, as BI has previously reported , some borrowers who might qualify for relief through different repayment programs may not have gotten it yet because of paperwork backlogs and administrative errors. On top of that, funding for federal student-loan servicers is strained — meaning many borrowers face hourslong hold times and cannot get clear answers from customer service regarding their payment progress.

"There are some real horror stories out there, and I've been really lucky in that I haven't experienced the kinds of shenanigans that other people have experienced," Lambdin said. "So I actually feel very lucky that things have transpired the way they have."

Some of those horror stories include inaccurate payment projections and delayed billing statements . When it comes to student-loan forgiveness, some borrowers told BI that their servicer made a mistake with the forgiveness , reinstating their payments months later.

The Education Department has said it's aware of the challenges borrowers face and has established an accountability framework to punish servicers when they fail to fulfill their contractual obligations.

The department is also in the process of crafting its new plan for student-loan forgiveness — it recently released the draft text of the rules , which included relief for borrowers with unpaid interest and those who have been in repayment for at least 20 years.

As for Lambdin, he's still figuring out how to approach life without student debt hanging over his head. But now he can consider various options, and he can thank the loan forgiveness for that freedom.

"There's a certain amount of waiting for the other shoe to drop because it's not that I don't trust that it's happening but just that the debt has been with me for so long, and then it's not there," Lambdin said. "And it's something that I think really takes some getting used to."

India is a country where people from different cultures and religions live in harmony with each other. However, discrimination is done on the basis of a person’s gender, caste, creed, religion and economic status in many parts of the country. India of my dreams would be a place where there is no such discrimination. India has seen a lot of development in the field of science, technology, education as well as other spheres over the last few decades. I dream of India as a fully developed country that does not only excel in the aforementioned fields but also continues to keep its cultural heritage intact. Here are essays of varying lengths on ‘India of my dreams’ to help you with the topic in the school during exam or essay writing competition.

Long and Short Essay on India of My Dreams in English

India of my dreams essay 1 (200 words).

India enjoys a rich cultural heritage. People belonging to various castes, creeds and religions live peacefully in this country.

India of My Dreams Essay 2 (300 words)

India is a multi-cultural, multi-lingual and multi-religious society that has seen a steady progress in various spheres over the last century. I dream of India that progresses at an even greater pace and joins the list of the developed countries in no time. Here are the key areas that need attention in order to make it a better place:

  • Education and Employment

I dream of India where every citizen is educated and is able to find a deserving employment opportunity. No one can stop the growth and development of a nation full of educated and talented individuals.

  • Industrial and Technological Growth

While India has seen both industrial and technological growth in the past few decades, it is still not at par with many other countries. I dream of India that advances technologically and sees a boom in every sector.

There is a lot of corruption in the country and its rate is only growing by the day. The common man is suffering at the hands of corrupt politicians who are only interested in fulfilling their own selfish motives. I dream of India that is free from corruption at all levels. It would be a place where the betterment of the country would be the sole agenda of the government.

  • Gender Discrimination

It is sad to see how even after proving themselves in every sphere of life women are still considered to be inferior to men. I dream of India where there is no gender discrimination. It would be a place where men and women are treated as equals.

In short, India of my dreams would be a place where people feel happy and secure and enjoy good quality of life.

I dream of India as being a place free of corruption. It would be a place where the political leaders would be dedicated towards serving the countries rather than fulfilling their own selfish motifs.

Though colonised for a long period of time, India has come a long way ever since its independence.

It is sad to see how genius minds from the country fly abroad to seek employment opportunities and contribute to the technological and industrial advancements of those countries rather than contributing to the development of their own country. I dream of India that offers good employment opportunities to deserving individuals and together all work towards the further technological advancement of the country.

The crime rate in India is growing by the day. Numerous cases of rape, robbery, dowry and murder are reported each day and many others go unnoticed/unreported. All the citizens of the country must be treated equally and there should be no discrimination or injustice.
