മണ്ണും മനുഷ്യനും

മണ്ണ് മനുഷ്യനെപ്പോലെയാണ്. മനുഷ്യനുണ്ടാകാൻ മാതാവുവേണം.മണ്ണുണ്ടാകാൻ മാതൃവസ്തുവും വേണം. മാതാവിന്റെ ഗർഭത്തിൽ അനേകദിവസങ്ങൾ കിടന്നാലേ മനുഷ്യൻ ഭൂമിയിൽ ജനിക്കൂ. മാതൃവസ്തുവിൽനിന്ന് അനേകായിരം വർഷങ്ങൾകൊണ്ടേ മണ്ണുണ്ടാകൂ.മനുഷ്യന്റെ സ്വഭാവം മാതാവിനെയും പിതാവിനെയും ജീവിക്കുന്ന പശ്ചാത്തലത്തെയും ആശ്രയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. 

മണ്ണിന്റെ സ്വഭാവം മാതൃവസ്തുവിനെയും അതുണ്ടായ പാറയെയും പരിസ്ഥിതികളെയും ആശ്രയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. ഓരോ മനുഷ്യനും വ്യക്തിത്വമുണ്ട്. ഓരോതരം മണ്ണിനും അതിന്റേതായ വ്യക്തിത്വമുണ്ട്. മനുഷ്യന്പക്വത വരാൻ ഏറെ ക്കാലത്തെ അനുഭവങ്ങളും അറിവുകളും ആവശ്യമാണ്. മണ്ണിനു പാകം വരാൻ ഏറെക്കാലത്തെ കാത്തിരിപ്പ് ആവശ്യമാണ്. പ്രകൃതിശക്തികളുടെ പ്രവർത്തനം ആവശ്യമാണ്.

മനുഷ്യൻ ജീവിതയാത്രയെന്ന തീർത്ഥയാത്രയിലാണ്. ആ യാത്രയിലൂടെയാണ്, അനുഭവങ്ങളിലൂടെയാണ്, മനുഷ്യൻ വളരുന്നത്. മൺതരിയും ഒരു മഹായാ ത്രയിലാണ്. പാറയിൽനിന്നും പൊട്ടിമാറുന്ന മാതൃവസ്തുവിൽനിന്നും പൊടി ഞ്ഞുമാറി, ഒലിച്ചു താഴേക്കു നീങ്ങി,

ആ യാത്ര തുടങ്ങുന്നു. കാറ്റിന്റെ തോളിലും വെള്ളത്തിന്റെ മടിയിലും ഐസി ന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിലും കയറി മൺതരി മഹായാത്ര തുടരുന്നു. പ്രകൃതിശക്തികളുടെ തല്ലും തലോടലും ഏറ്റ് മൺതരി മാറുന്നു. ജൈവവസ്തുക്കളുമായി കൂടിച്ചേർന്ന് മൺതരി 'വളരുന്നു'. ജലവും വായുവുമായി കൂടിക്കലർന്നു പക്വതയും പാക തയുമുള്ള മണ്ണായി വളർന്നു വിലസുന്നു. ജീവജാലങ്ങളെ താലോലിച്ചു വളർത്തി സായുജ്യമടയുന്നു. മണ്ണിൽ ജീവികൾ വളരുന്നു. മണ്ണിൽനിന്നു പോഷകങ്ങൾസ്വീകരിച്ചു വളരുന്നു. മണ്ണ് മറുപിള്ളയായി നിന്ന് ജീവനെ രക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.ജീവികൾ ജീവനാടകം കഴിഞ്ഞ് മണ്ണിൽ വീണ് മണ്ണിലേക്കുതന്നെചേരുന്നു. ആ ഘടകങ്ങൾകൊണ്ട് മറ്റു ജീവികൾ വളരുന്നു. വളർന്നുംപെരുകിയും തിന്നും തിന്നപ്പെട്ടും അവസാനം മരിച്ചും ചീഞ്ഞും 'മണ്ണായി'മാറുന്ന ജീവികളെ മണ്ണ് സസന്തോഷം തന്നിലേക്കു ചേർക്കുന്നു.അങ്ങനെ മണ്ണ് ജീവിക്കുന്നു. ജീവനുള്ള മണ്ണായി വിലസുന്നു.

'മണ്ണില്ലെങ്കിൽ ജീവനില്ല. ജീവികളില്ല.'

'ജീവനില്ലെങ്കിൽ മണ്ണുമില്ല!' ജീവനില്ലെങ്കിൽ മണ്ണ് വെറും പാറപ്പൊടി

യായി കിടന്നേനേ. നിർജീവമായി കിടന്നേനേ.

ജീവനു സ്തുതി. ജീവജാലങ്ങൾ മണ്ണിൽ ജനിച്ചു ജീവിച്ചു മരിച്ചു

മണ്ണോടു ചേർന്നു മണ്ണിനെ മണ്ണാക്കുന്നു.

മണ്ണില്ലെങ്കിൽ മനുഷ്യനില്ല. ജീവികളില്ല. ജീവികളില്ലെങ്കിൽ മണ്ണുമില്ല.

മണ്ണിനു സ്തുതി.

ജീവനു സ്തുതി.

'മണ്ണു മരിച്ചാൽ മനുഷ്യനും മരിക്കും.'

ജീവജാലങ്ങളും മരിക്കും.

ഈ സത്യം നമുക്ക് മനസ്സിലാക്കാം. നമ്മുടെ മണ്ണിനെ നമുക്ക് സ്‌നേഹിക്കാം.

മണ്ണിൽ വിരിയുന്ന പൂക്കളെയും പുഴുക്കളെയും വരെ സ്‌നേഹിക്കാം.

അങ്ങനെ മനുഷ്യനെയും സ്‌നേഹിക്കാൻ കഴിവുള്ളവരായി വളരാം.

മണ്ണ് നമ്മുടെപൊന്ന്. മണ്ണ് വിജയിക്കട്ടെ.

മനുഷ്യൻ വിജയിക്കട്ടെ.

He used to be a member of the Kerala State Planning Board and during this period, he was given the charge of People's Plan Campaign (PPC) in Kerala which has had a landmark achievement in decentralisation all throughout the country. Background of Dr Thomas Isaac Dr Isaac's father's name is T.P Mathew and mother's name is Saramma Mathew. Thomas Isaac's educational qualification includes a graduation and post-graduation degree in B.A and M.A respectively from Economics University of Kerala, Trivandrum. He obtained M.Phil and PhD in Economics from the Centre for Development Studies affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi. Because of his high qualifications, Thomas Isaac is considered as one of the most educated politicians of Kerala. He has also worked as a professor at the Centre for Development Studies, Trivandrum. Many famous articles and books (both in English and Malayalam) have been published by Dr Isaac. His articles were mainly based on Economics, Politics and Planning. He became active in politics during his college days and was fully involved in the Students Federation of India (SFI) from 1971. Dr Isaac was given high posts in SFI at college, district and state level.
