My name is Patrick Holden and I am a freshman at the University of Michigan, majoring in English and minoring in linguistics. My father works in the finance office for a car dealership and my mother works at a call center. I assumed I would follow a similar, albeit boring, path in life. In my junior year of high school, everything changed. My English teacher inspired me in ways I could have never imagined. She got me to love writing, literature, etymology, and everything about the English language. She made me want to be a better student in all of my classes, and she helped me see the value of education. I decided then that I wanted to inspire other students just as she did for me. My parents are unfortunately not able to contribute much toward my college expenses. I have earned a tuition scholarship based on my ACT score, but I still need additional funding for books and supplies. English majors have particularly high book costs because we have to purchase multiple books for each class. With the help of this scholarship, I could afford to continue my degree and become an English teacher.

It was still in its infancy when I was in middle school, but by the time I graduated high school, it had become a staple in business development. I loved the way internet marketers had to constantly adjust to fit Google’s algorithms, new mobile devices, and new audiences. I knew this was the career for me. Originally, I planned to focus solely on business marketing because there were not many digital marketing degrees available. Over the last two years though, several schools throughout the country have developed internet marketing courses that explain fundamental methods of search engine optimization, website analytics, and more. These are the foundations I will build my career around. The best part about internet marketing is that there is always something new to learn. I can use my creative mind and exploratory nature to try new advertising methods that help businesses succeed. Every time they do well, I do well. This is the kind of job fulfillment most people can only dream of, but my educational plan and job prospects will allow me to achieve it. I have picked up some freelance jobs online to supplement my studies and help pay for my education. It is difficult to maintain a steady stream of income in freelance because I spend so much time on my school work. This scholarship could offset some of the costs and reduce my workload as a whole. While I will still work throughout the semester and full-time in the summers, having extra financial aid would greatly reduce my stress in college. I look forward to a future where I can use my marketing skills to help business owners achieve their career goals. I plan to spend the first few years after graduation working for a successful, long-standing digital marketing company. After I have enough on-the-job training to feel confident in my abilities, I will open my own internet marketing company in Chicago, where my family lives. My Future After Graduation

Hey guys. I’m so glad to be here today with all of you. I’m going to tell you st abt my future plan now. Please pay attention to it and feel free to ask me everything when I’ve finished. Why do people do the plan? We plan for next day, next month, next year and so on. Someone said :” a goal without a plan is just a wish”. I think planning is like drawing a map that guides us to the destination we seek. Once we have a map, it will be easier and more efficient to find the way we should take.

Also, the map would lessen the risk of getting lost in our long journey of life. Today, I describe how I construct my map. I start making my map with the destination. My destinations are a graduate diploma, a well-paid job, a happy family and a long trip to another continent to help those people. Destinations are set. The next step is to draw it in a detailed way. As a college student, studying will be my top priority so I begin with my graduate diploma in the next 4 years.

Nothing but to study hard and get a good academic performance. My university life will be so boring without joining a club so I’ll find one that suits me most. Maybe I can fall in love with someone in these 4 years haha After my graduation I’ll go seeking for a job. There are countless jobs and professions in this world. Among those, how am I going to choose the right one? A job that fits my talents, characters and natures. I do hope that I can work in a big international bank and will prepare for it with all my energy.

Have had a pretty good job is not enough, I also need to have a family of my own. Finding someone who’s caring, gallant, talent and love me enough to marry will meant so much to me cuz it’s my lifetime happiness. Having 2 children, living in a house with a garden full of flowers, cooking, telling joke, smiling, hugging, kissing, breathing…all of those little happy things I want for my family. It may sound like drama but it’s what I love. And, in the very end of my life, I do want to go…
