Leave a 4 cm margin on the left and leave some space between each answer so that evaluator will write comments about answer. Point 3 : Please do not copy paste from other learner or ditto text from the  course material . Use the skills of critical appreciation that you may have acquired during the course of study. Point 4 : Read the units on which they are based and try to interpret and make some point in your own words. Point 5 : Be a little more selective and analytical before drawing up a rough outline of your answer. Point 6 : Arrange your points in a logical order for each question and describe them as per question requirement. Point 7 :For long answer questions  give enough attention to your introduction and conclusion. Point 8 : After finishing the work of assignment answer writing, use any paper file or plastic file for each course code and make separate bunch for each course in a proper manner. Point 9 : Attach separate Cover page for each course code. Point 10 :  Candidate must send their complete assignments to the coordinator of the allotted study centre Only. How to write the assignments?

The first question arises that from where we may get the assignment questions for which the responses need to be submitted. In this regard, we would like to inform you that IGNOU has fully devoted a page of it official website for downloading the latest assignment questions and taking the print out for attaching with assignment responses.

Steps to download the assignment questions

  • Visit IGNOU website www.ignou.ac.in
  • Go to student support
  • See the student zone in the drop down list and click on it
  • You can see the assignments link on the right side, third from below
  • Click on the link and a new page will open where you will find the assignment questions Program wise and year/semester wise
  • You need to find out the course/paper after clicking on the year or session
  • If the questions of the concerned session/year are not available then you may download the latest available questions and submit the answers at your study centre

Steps to write and prepare the assignments in the right manner

  • Go through the Blocks/Units of your study material/book received from the University. Highlight the important points.
  • See the questions and match the answers in your book. Many a times you will find the direct answers. But sometimes, you may not find the answers directly. In such case try to understand the gist of the content and then you may write the answers in your own words.
  • Do not copy the answers in case you find the direct answers. You need to write the answers in your own words and in your own handwriting.
  • Please remember, many online portals  and some book centres are selling solved assignments of IGNOU. Never take such assignments as it will adversely affect your marks/grades.
  • Make the first page in which you are required to write your name, Enrollment No, Program, Course, address, mobile No etc.

Front page of IGNOU Assignments

  • The details in the  front page of the assignment need to be filled up carefully. Any wrong information may halt in the update of the grade/marks of the assignment.
  • You are also required to neatly write in the A4 size paper with blank margins on the left side so that the evaluator may write his/her comments/feedback
  • After completing the assignment of each course/paper you are registered in, you may submit the same at your registered study centre in the month of March or September as applicable.
  • Do not  forget to get the assignments photocopied and also take the receipt from the staff of the study centre after submission.

The assignments are evaluated by the approved academic counsellors of the study centre and the marks/grades are sent to the regional centre in the prescribed format for onward transmission to IGNOU Hqrs.  These marks are updated TEE session wise either in June session or in December session. It is very important for the study centre to send the marks to regional centre by the end of June if you have submitted the assignment is March and by the end of December if you have submitted the assignments in September.

If you don’t receive an acknowledgment within a few hours, check if the regional portal has shared a Google Forms link and submit your assignment there as well.

  • Pay the full program fee for the new course. The fee paid for the previous program will not be refunded.

Subject or Optional Changes :

  • Request the change within 30 days from the receipt of the first set of study material.
  • Pay the required fees: For undergraduate courses, it’s Rs.350 per 2 or 4 credit course and Rs.700 per 6 or 8 credit course. For master’s degree courses, the fees are Rs.600 per 2 or 4 credit course and Rs.1200 per 6 or 8 credit course.

Medium Changes :

  • Request a change of medium within 30 days from the receipt of the first lot of study material in the first year only.

All requests for changes must be directed to the Regional Director of the concerned Regional Centre. Make your payment via a Demand Draft in favor of IGNOU, payable at the concerned Regional Centre.

Changing your Regional or Study Centre in IGNOU (Indira Gandhi National Open University) involves a specific process. Here’s how you can do it:

To Change Your Study Centre :

  • The scanned copy of assignments should not be more than 100MB.
  • You should only submit the PDF format of the scanned copy.
  • Though you will be entering the basic details in the Google Form, it is also a great idea to mention the same details on your assignment copy also.
  • The option of submitting the assignments through Google Forms will be available only when the quota of email submission is over.

Through Email Address

Though IGNOU has started the option of submitting the assignments through Google Forms, it will be not available in all the regional centers. The option of Google Forms will be only applicable if the email quota of a regional center is over and they are not more able to receive assignment emails from the students.

Here is the method that you need to follow to submit your assignments through email.

Step – 1 – Mention all the important details on the front page of your assignment that you would do in the case of offline submissions such as name, subject name and code, program and course code, study center name and code, contact details, and others.

Step – 2 – Scan your handwritten assignment copy and get it in PDF format. Each subject assignment should be in each PDF copy.

Step – 3 – Find out the email address of your regional center from Google in the same way how you search for the regional center portal link.

Step – 4 – In the body of the email, provide all the details in a listicle format that you have mentioned on the front page of your assignments.

Step – 5 – Now attach the PDF formats of your assignments and send the email to the respective regional center email address.

After you have sent the email, you should receive an acknowledgment. It may take a few hours to get this acknowledgment email. But if you have still not received it, you should check whether the regional portal has shared the link for Google Forms or not and should upload the assignments there too.

It is also noted that the many of the regional centre of IGNOU is not sending any confirmation or acknowledgment after the submission of IGNOU Assignments so you don’t need to worry about it instead of keep checking the status of your assignments to get the result.

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) on April 2 has extended the last date to submit assignments for the June 2024 term-end examinations (TEE). Candidates enrolled for June 2024 TEE can now submit their assignments, final project, dissertation, field work journals, and internship reports till April 30. The IGNOU June TEE 2024 assignment can be submitted through the official website – ignou.ac.in . Students will have to submit the assignments both in hard and soft copies.

“With the approval of the competent authority, the last date for submission of assignments (both in hard copy and soft copy) for term end examination, June 2024 for both ODL and online programmes, GOAL and EVBB has been extended up to April 30,” an IGNOU statement said.

The IGNOU June term exams are expected to start from June 1, 2024, as per the official notice. The last date to submit the June TEE 2024 examination form is April 22. 

Candidates filling the June 2024 TEE form will have to pay a fee of Rs 200 per course (theory courses and practical/lab courses) and for students admitted from January 2023 onwards, additional fees will be applicable for practical and project evaluation of Rs 300 per course for up to 4 credits and Rs 500 per course for above 4 credit.
