Nintendo and publisher Piggyback have teamed up for the official strategy guide for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom , which will debut on June 16, a full month and change after the game’s May 12 release date on the Nintendo Switch. Piggyback did fantastic work on the guide for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild , so it’s great that Nintendo licensed it to make the new guide, too.

The $19.66 $29.99 paperback version contains a whopping 496 pages, and with it, you can achieve 100% completion of the game. There’s also a collector’s edition of the guide coming that costs $26.99 $44.99 . By the way, don’t worry if you already bought it at a higher price; Amazon’s pre-order guarantee means you’ll be charged the lowest price ahead of release day.

The contents of the guide are the same across both versions, but the pricier option has gorgeous styling on its hardcover. It shows the Master Sword (or what’s left of it), surrounded by runic inscriptions akin to Nintendo’s design on the limited edition Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom -themed Switch OLED .

The official, 496-page strategy guide for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will launch on June 16. You can pre-order your copy now, which will walk you through the game to earn a 100% completion rate.

If you’re someone who relies on a guide to get started, the month-long wait between the game’s release and this guide shipping might seem like an eternity. But don’t fret, as the Polygon team will have a bunch of great Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom guides that will get you started, plus some, right when the game launches.

Update (May 30) : A few weeks after the launch of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom , the prices for both versions of the official strategy guide keep falling. Amazon will honor this deal for people who pre-ordered at a higher cost.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom official guide revealed

Original (5/7): Piggyback made an official strategy guide book for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild in collaboration with Nintendo back in 2017, and the two sides are teaming up once again – now for Tears of the Kingdom.

Retailer listings have made this known just days before the launch of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. An official description indicates that it will include answers for all of the game’s puzzles, riddles, and mysteries plus a curated walkthrough, an atlas of Hyrule, and more. It’s a big guide standing at nearly 500 pages.

It looks like The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom official strategy guide book will have a standard version and collector’s edition. Right now we’re uncertain what the latter offers, but with Breath of the Wild, that game’s collector’s edition guide came in premium hardcover, featured an extra-large map poster, and had a small art section.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom launches for Switch on May 12, 2023, but it looks like the strategy guide book will be releasing on June 16. Save $20 On The Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Collector's Edition Guide At Amazon

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Collector's Edition Guide

$21.59 (was $45) with coupon, the legend of zelda: tears of the kingdom guide, $18.74 (was $30) with coupon.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom's Collector's and standard edition guides are now available for low prices at Amazon. The Collector's Edition guide is up for grabs for only $21.59 (down from $45), while the standard edition is available for just $15.03 (down from $30). Note that You'll have to click the coupon box below the price to get the full discount on the collector's edition.

The official strategy guide comes in at a whopping 496 pages. If you want to get a 100% save file in Tears of the Kingdom, this guide will have all of the details you need to know, including every puzzle solution, an atlas of Hyrule, and an in-depth look at every enemy in the game. The guide includes a full walkthrough, but it promises to be convenient to use if you simply want to just use it as a reference point.

The Tears of the Kingdom Collector's Edition features an exclusive hardcover design with a circular pattern that matches the back of the special-edition Tears of the Kingdom Nintendo Switch OLED (which you can purchase now ). It has a gold emblem in the center featuring the Master Sword, which has seen better days.

The standard edition comes with a softcover featuring the box art of the game. Outside of the different binding and cover design, the standard edition is the exact same. Since the guide is roughly 500 pages, it's likely the collector's edition will hold up better over time if you plan on using it a lot, but this version will still walk you through Tears of the Kingdom's vast and intricate version of Hyrule--not to mention make a great addition to your book shelf.

If you still need to secure a copy of the game, you can pick it up for $64 (normally $70) at Amazon . It's also worth noting the Tears of the Kingdom guide is just one of many discounted video games available at Amazon right now .

Does Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Have a Physical Guide Book? Answered

The follow-up to Nintendo’s massively successful open-world adventure The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is set to release on May 12, 2023, and Tears of the Kingdom looks to be even more expansive than it’s predecessor. With that being said, players are sure to be looking for some sort of guide to help them along, so is there going to be a physical guide book for Tears of the Kingdom?

Does Tears of the Kingdom Have An Official Guide Book?

As of now, Tears of the Kingdom does not have an official guide book published for the game. Nintendo has not confirmed whether they are going to release an official guide after launch, so unfortunately it remains up to speculation for now.

While this might not be good news for players looking for a little extra help making their way through Hyrule, there might still be hope on the horizon. While Breath of the Wild released in March of 2017, the official guide book for the game didn’t come out until February of 2018. That being said, nothing is concrete, and it is likely the case that the guide books take longer to publish from the sheer amount of content in the game. As such, there might still be a guide book for Tears of the Kingdom in the future.

The guide books for games like Legend of Zelda contain expansive, thorough descriptions of their corresponding game, packed with information about characters, game mechanics and collectible locations. In a game with as many collectibles as Breath of the Wild , there’s understandably a great deal of content that has to go into them.

While you won’t get any guides as to how to make your way through Hyrule, if you preorder the Collector’s Edition, along with the Steelbook case and poster, you will also get a hardcover art book to prime your shelves for if the guide book ever does get published.

Even though Nintendo hasn’t announced an official, physical guide book for Tears of the Kingdom , Twinfinite’s gonna have all the guides you need once it releases on May 12. You can check out some of our other guides at the links below.
