Balancing Life: Everyday Routine Essay

Introduction, general evaluation, practical experience, significance of motivation.

The difficulty of balancing life is the issue for everyone who encounters hard periods in life. In this respect, the reality is cruel, unless working out the design of actions for every day. This means that people are trying to facilitate their lives only by working day and night. It is one side of the story. On the other hand, individuals are apt to pay more attention to the family when everything is going wrong in other spheres of life. Thus, the problem concerned with the balance of life becomes extra significant for the contemporary individual.

The paper represents this idea implemented in the everyday routine. Studying course material online along with raising three children, being a union officer, and working as a manager is hard to balance. However, the devil is not so black, as he is painted. The discussion touches upon the optimal ways for resolving this issue. It helps to realize prior areas to be emphasized at a particular time. Nevertheless, it is an attempt to show the instructions for finding harmony in balancing all significant issues of life. Balancing what really matters for a person means making efforts and planning activities for achieving positive results.

First of all, human beings are different in their feeling of life. They vary in particular attitude to life and understanding of its complex nature. This represents a ground for either pleasure or despair in life. Being loaded with different tasks and responsibilities at once, a person may be confused in actions. This is why Merrill & Merrill (2004) emphasize the concepts of personal competence and wisdom in achieving balance in life. In turn, it means, for instance, that while studying an online college course, an individual should think over the benefits of such doing. It may lead to better work with a better salary. Thereupon, it provides an opportunity for better upbringing of three children. Moreover, it gives more assurance the next day when working, as a manager, and leading, as a union officer.

One may suppose that it is easy to say than to do. In this respect, it is vital to look at the experience of those who are able to save their time. The most prosperous people have an idea about the price of time and proper place of different priorities in it as well. Hence, one should be aware of the practical benefits of living at work, in family, and in education. Here the role of physical health is better to rely on spiritual and moral sustainability (Pierce, 2001). The thing is that when a man has such a strong spiritual pivot inside, he/ she is able to resist problems. The reason for this is hope and optimism.

To follow the way of rationality describes a scheme for the design of daily activities. Planning is a strategic peculiarity of successful people. It is a way for the materialization of dreams. It also gives assurance in the further destiny of a man, because he/she acquires an additional “portion” of experience. As Da Vinci once said, Experience is a sister of wisdom (Cremante, 2005). Thus, an individual should find out the ways for optimal balance between work and family; family and education; and work and education. The “golden mean” here represents the ability of a man to place the significance of each sphere higher or lower in relation to another one. In practice, it is a feature that comes with years. However, more efforts and investigation of the main approaches may shorten this period of time.

If an individual is not indifferent to the three important domains in life stated above, then there should be a perpetual motivation. The purpose for such an uneasy task correlates with the validity of spent efforts. The psychological encouragement and beliefs in better life may simply raise a man. Most experts tend to think that positive intentions toward life provoke greater opportunities instead. This philosophy does not lack practical examples. In turn, it encourages ordinary individuals to follow the way of faith in personal potential and in support from some Higher Power as well.

All in all, the balance of life depends on how an individual is apt to do it. In other words, it is a matter of personal readiness to face difficulties. To facilitate them does not solely mean working. A correct design of daily activities without any delay serves, as the best framework for balancing life. It means that it is real to study, to bring up three children, and to work and lead people. The point lies in another aspect – the industriousness and rationality of an individual. When a man does not hesitate to spend more time and more effort on the initial stage, then further tries will not seem so difficult. Experience will facilitate the bygone burden of life. Furthermore, it points out the capacities of a person and his/her reliance in terms of a cruel life. Balance of life props up against the inner balance for such individuals. A strong and persuaded personal position reduces hardships of the essence.

A daily routine is like a map for your day. It guides you on what to do from the moment you wake up until you go to bed. Having a routine helps you manage your time well, and it makes sure you get to do all the important things, like studying, playing, and resting.

Getting Things Done

When you have a routine, you know exactly when to do your homework, which means you won’t have to rush at the last minute. This helps you do your work better because you’re not in a hurry. Plus, you’ll have time left to enjoy fun activities.

Good Habits

Following a routine every day can help you make good habits. For example, brushing your teeth twice a day or reading a book before bed can become a normal part of your life. These habits are good for your health and your mind.

Less Stress

Imagine trying to do many things without planning – it can be stressful! But with a routine, you know what to expect. This can make you feel calm and in control, which is much nicer than feeling worried.

More Free Time

It might sound strange, but having a routine actually gives you more free time. When you finish your tasks quickly and on time, you end up with extra time to play games, hang out with friends, or learn something new.

In short, a daily routine helps you get things done, builds good habits, keeps stress away, and gives you more time to enjoy life. It’s like a secret tool that can help you do better in school and have more fun!

500 Words Essay on Importance Of Daily Routine

A daily routine is a set of activities that you do at the same time every day. Think of it like a schedule that guides you through your day. For example, you might wake up, brush your teeth, go to school, do homework, play, eat meals, and go to bed at the same times each day. This might sound boring, but having a daily routine is actually very important and can help you in many ways.

Helps You Stay Organized

One of the biggest benefits of a daily routine is that it helps you stay organized. When you have a plan for what you need to do each day, you are less likely to forget things. This means you can be ready for school on time, remember to do your homework, and still have time to play and relax. It’s like having a map for your day so you don’t get lost in what you need to do.

Makes You More Efficient

Having a routine also makes you more efficient. This means you can do things faster and better. When you do the same activities regularly, you get better at them because practice makes perfect. For example, if you always do your homework at the same time, you will get faster at finishing it, which means more free time for you!

Gives You Good Habits

Routines help you build good habits. Just like brushing your teeth every morning keeps them healthy, doing your homework every day helps you learn better. When you do something regularly, it becomes a habit, and good habits are important for a successful life. They help you do the right thing without even thinking about it.

Believe it or not, routines can reduce stress. When you know what to expect each day, you worry less. There’s no panic about what you should be doing or if you’re forgetting something. This can make you feel calmer and happier. It’s like knowing you have an umbrella with you in case it rains; you’re prepared and don’t worry about getting wet.

Helps You Sleep Better

A good daily routine can even help you sleep better. When you go to bed at the same time every night, your body gets used to it and starts to expect sleep. This can help you fall asleep faster and sleep more soundly. It’s like training your body to know when it’s time to rest.

In conclusion, a daily routine might seem simple, but it has a big impact on your life. It keeps you organized, makes you more efficient, helps you build good habits, reduces stress, and even helps you sleep better. With all these benefits, it’s clear that having a daily routine is very important. So, if you don’t already have a routine, it might be a good idea to start one. It could make your days go smoother and help you be the best you can be!

“… Kafka defines the dangers of depending on art for life. The hunger artist expresses his dissatisfaction with the world by using himself and not an external canvas to create his artwork, forcing a lack of separation between the artist and his art. Therefore, instead of the art depending on the audience, the artist depends on the audience, meaning when the audience’s appreciation for work dwindles, their appreciation for the artist diminishes as well, leading to the hunger artist’s death.”

The essay talks about “ A Hunger Artist ” by Franz Kafka, who describes his views on life through art. The essay mentions a list of common activities that make us feel happy and satisfied, such as buying new things. The writer explains that Elster’s statement about the prevalence of self-realization in consumption will always trigger intense debate.

“Appreciate the moment you’ve been given and appreciate the people you’ve been given to spend it with, because no matter how beautiful or tragic a moment is, it always ends. So hold on a little tighter, smile a little bigger, cry a little harder, laugh a little louder, forgive a little quicker, and love a whole lot deeper because these are the moments you will remember when you’re old and wishing you could rewind time.”

This essay explains that some things and events only happen once in a person’s life. The author encourages teenagers to enjoy the little things in their life and do what they love as much as they can. When they turn into adults, they will no longer have the luxury to do whatever they want.

The author suggests doing something meaningful as a stress reliever, trusting people, refusing to give up on the things that make you happy, and dying with beautiful memories. For help with your essays, check out our round-up of the best essay checkers .

7 Prompts for Essays About Life

Essays About Life: What is the true meaning of life?

Life encompasses many values and depends on one’s perception. For most, life is about reaching achievements to make themselves feel alive. Use this prompt to compile different meanings of life and provide a background on why a person defines life as they do.

Take Joseph Campbell’s, “Life has no meaning. Each of us has meaning, and we bring it to life. It is a waste to be asking the question when you are the answer,” for example. This quote pertains to his belief that an individual is responsible for giving life meaning.

For this prompt, share with your readers your current purpose in life. It can be as simple as helping your siblings graduate or something grand, such as changing a national law to make a better world. You can ask others about their life purpose to include in your essay and give your opinion on why your answers are different or similar.

Life is a fascinating subject, as each person has a unique concept. How someone lives depends on many factors, such as opportunities, upbringing, and philosophies. All of these elements affect what we consider “special.”

Share what you think makes life special. For instance, talk about your relationships, such as your close-knit family or best friends. Write about the times when you thought life was worth living. You might also be interested in these essays about yourself .

Life in itself is a gift. However, most of us follow a routine of “wake up, work (or study), sleep, repeat.” Our constant need to survive makes us take things for granted. When we endlessly repeat a routine, life becomes mundane. For this prompt, offer tips on how to avoid a monotonous life, such as keeping a gratitude journal or traveling.

Many literary pieces use life as their subject. If you have a favorite book about life, recommend it to your readers by summarizing the content and sharing how the book influenced your outlook on life. You can suggest more than one book and explain why everyone should read them.

For example, Paulo Coelho’s “The Alchemist” reminds its readers to live in the moment and never fear failure.

Essays About Life: How to live a healthy life?

To be healthy doesn’t only pertain to our physical condition. It also refers to our mental, spiritual, and emotional well-being. To live a happy and full life, individuals must strive to be healthy in all areas. For this prompt, list ways to achieve a healthy life. Section your essay and present activities to improve health, such as eating healthy foods, talking with friends, etc.

No one has a perfect life, but describe what it’ll be like if you do. Start with the material things, such as your house, clothes, etc. Then, move to how you connect with others. In your conclusion, answer whether you’re willing to exchange your current life for the “perfect life” you described and why.  See our essay writing tips to learn more!

Essay on Daily Routine

In the fabric of life, our daily routines are the threads that weave together our days, giving structure, predictability, and a sense of normalcy to our existence. For students, establishing a well-organized daily routine is not just about managing time effectively; it’s about cultivating habits that foster growth, learning, and personal well-being. This essay delves into the significance of a daily routine, outlines a comprehensive example of an effective routine for students, and explains how such routines can enhance various aspects of life.

The Importance of a Daily Routine

A daily routine refers to the structured schedule of activities that one follows throughout the day. This could range from morning rituals, academic tasks, extracurricular activities, to relaxation before bed. The importance of a daily routine for students cannot be overstated. It instills a sense of discipline, improves time management skills, reduces stress by removing the unpredictability from the day, and ultimately contributes to achieving academic and personal goals.

Establishing a Morning Routine

A productive day begins the night before. Setting a consistent bedtime and wake-up time ensures adequate rest and sets the tone for the day. Upon waking, engaging in a morning routine that includes hydration, exercise, and a nutritious breakfast can energize the body and sharpen the mind. A brief period of planning can also help prioritize tasks and set a clear direction for the day.

Academic and Extracurricular Balance

The core of a student’s daily routine revolves around academic responsibilities. Allocating specific blocks of time for attending classes, studying, and completing assignments can help manage the workload effectively. It’s crucial, however, to intersperse these periods with breaks to avoid burnout and maintain productivity.

Incorporating extracurricular activities into the routine is equally important. Whether it’s sports, music, art, or volunteer work, these activities provide a much-needed break from academics, fostering personal growth and skill development.

The Role of Leisure and Downtime

While it may seem counterintuitive, scheduling time for relaxation and leisure activities is a vital component of an effective daily routine. This downtime allows for mental and physical recovery, boosting overall well-being and creativity. Engaging in hobbies, spending time with family and friends, or simply relaxing can rejuvenate the mind and body, preparing students for the challenges of the next day.

Evening Wind-Down

An evening routine plays a critical role in signaling the body to prepare for sleep. Limiting screen time, reflecting on the day’s achievements, and planning for the next day can ease the transition into rest. Reading or meditating before bed can also help calm the mind and ensure a restful night’s sleep.

The Impact of a Daily Routine on Student Life

Academic performance.

A structured daily routine enhances focus and efficiency, allowing students to dedicate ample time to their studies. By breaking down tasks into manageable segments and avoiding procrastination, students can improve their academic performance and achieve better grades.

Physical Health and Well-being

Regular physical activity, balanced nutrition, and sufficient sleep are fundamental aspects of a daily routine that directly impact physical health. These habits boost immunity, increase energy levels, and reduce the risk of chronic diseases, enabling students to maintain an active and healthy lifestyle.

Mental Health

The predictability of a daily routine can significantly reduce stress and anxiety levels. By providing a sense of control and accomplishment, routines can improve mood, increase self-esteem, and foster a positive outlook on life.

Time Management and Productivity

Effective daily routines teach students the value of time management. By prioritizing tasks and minimizing distractions, students can enhance their productivity, leaving more time for personal interests and relaxation.

Building Life Skills

The discipline and self-control required to adhere to a daily routine are invaluable life skills. These habits encourage responsibility, independence, and resilience, qualities that are beneficial beyond the classroom and into adulthood.

Enhancing Creativity and Innovation

Contrary to the belief that routines stifle creativity, the structure provided by a routine can actually free up mental space for creative thinking. By automating decision-making for mundane tasks, students can channel their mental energy towards innovative projects and creative pursuits.

A well-structured daily routine is a powerful tool for students, offering a multitude of benefits that extend far beyond academic achievement. It lays the foundation for a disciplined and organized approach to life, cultivates healthy habits, and fosters personal growth and development. By embracing the principles of an effective daily routine, students can navigate the challenges of their academic journey with confidence, balance, and a sense of fulfillment. In the grand tapestry of life, the consistency and structure of a daily routine enable students to paint a vibrant picture of success, health, and happiness.

My Daily Routine Essay 4: 500 Words

A daily routine is a set of activities that we engage in regularly, following a specific schedule. It helps to structure our day and ensures that we utilize our time efficiently. Having a well-planned daily routine not only increases our productivity but also improves our physical and mental well-being. In this essay, I will describe my daily routine and how it helps me to achieve my goals and maintain a healthy lifestyle. 1. Morning Routine: I start my day early in the morning as it gives me a head start and allows me to accomplish more. My alarm clock goes off promptly at 6 am, and I immediately stretch, as it helps to awaken my body. After that, I freshen up and spend 15 minutes practicing meditation, which sets a calm and positive tone for the day. Following that, I do an hour of exercise, alternating between cardio and strength training. This energizes me and helps me stay fit. Finally, I have a nutritious breakfast consisting of fruits, oats, and eggs to fuel my body and mind. 2. Work/School Routine: After breakfast, I get ready for work or school. I organize my belongings, pack my lunch, and ensure that I have everything I need for the day. Transportation to my workplace or school takes approximately 30 minutes, during which I catch up on reading or listen to educational podcasts. Upon arrival, I review my schedule, prioritize my tasks, and create a to-do list. This helps me stay focused and organized throughout the day, ensuring that I complete all my assignments and projects efficiently. 3. Afternoon Routine: During my lunch break, I take time to relax and recharge. I have a healthy meal, preferably packed from home to ensure balanced nutrition. Afterward, I engage in a leisure activity for a short period, such as reading a book or going for a walk. This helps me to de-stress and re-energize for the second half of the day. In the afternoon, I attend classes or work on assignments, actively participating and seeking clarification whenever required. 4. Evening Routine: In the evening, I prioritize spending quality time with my family and friends. Depending on the day, I either attend extracurricular activities or have a quiet evening at home. This includes activities such as playing sports, watching a movie, or engaging in hobbies such as painting or writing. Regularly engaging in leisure activities helps me maintain a healthy work-life balance and keeps my mind stimulated. 5. Night Routine: To wind down for the night, I allocate time for personal care and relaxation. I ensure that I complete all pending tasks, review my to-do list for the next day, and plan accordingly. Afterward, I enjoy a homemade dinner with my family, engaging in light-hearted conversations. Following dinner, I spend time away from screens, allowing my mind to relax. This could be reading a book, practicing mindfulness, or writing in my journal. Finally, I maintain a consistent sleep schedule, ensuring I get at least 7-8 hours of sleep every night. Conclusion In conclusion, maintaining a disciplined daily routine helps me lead a healthy and balanced lifestyle. It allows me to accomplish my goals, stay focused, and make the most of my time. My daily routine consists of a structured morning, work/school schedule, leisure activities in the evening, and a restful night routine. By following this routine diligently, I have found myself more productive, happier, and physically healthier. Having a daily routine is not only beneficial to our work or academics but also contributes to our overall well-being.

I am a student who follows a simple daily routine. Once I wake up, I perform my morning duties. Then I take my pet dog and go for a walk across the nearby lake. The fresh air in the morning makes me feel refreshed and energized for the rest of the day. My school being very close to my house, I prefer walking to school. By 7:30 AM, I finish my breakfast, take my school bag, and head towards the school.

There are two things that I never miss: the canteen and the library. Reading the encyclopedia and autobiographies of various artists always makes me happy. After the regular classes, I return home and enjoy lunch with my mom and dad. I sleep for about an hour or so. Then I play with my friends in the colony. In the evening, I also attend my tuition which end at around 8 PM. Once the homework is done, I switch on the television to watch some of the variety shows.

My mom serves us dinner by 10 PM. I spend some time chit-chatting with my family members and playing with my pet. I go to bed by 11 PM and get enough sleep to start a whole new day. Sundays are a bit more relaxed. Once in a while, we have family get-together or picnics. Having a daily routine keeps me disciplined and focused in my everyday life.

Being a student, people have always emphasized how crucial it is to follow a daily routine. Hence, I try to follow a good routine almost every single day. I am a student of Class 6. Every morning I wake up early at around 5:30 AM. I brush my teeth, wash my face, and start with my morning jogging. My father accompanies me in my morning exercises. We usually visit our nearby park to do the same.

Then I head back home and take a shower. By this time, my mom packs my tiffin for the day. We sit together and enjoy our morning breakfast. I put on my uniform, pack my school bag, and head towards the bus stand to make my way to the school. My classes start at 8:30 AM and continue till the lunch break. Recess time is the most enjoyable part of school because I get to have fun with my friends.

After a few more classes, I come back home and have lunch. Watching a few TV series makes me feel refreshed for the rest of the day. In the evening, I spend time with my family and help my mother in the house. Besides that, I complete the daily task given at school. And my mom makes some snacks for me during these hours. By 8 PM, I am done with most of the school work.

I play badminton with my community friends for an hour and then meet my family for dinner. At 10 PM, I hear some light music, wish my parents goodnight, and head to sleep. Daily Routine Essay for Working Person:

As a working person, finding balance in our daily routine can be challenging. Our days can feel like they are consumed by work, leaving us with very little time for ourselves and our loved ones. However, it is important to remember that having a healthy and well-balanced daily routine is essential not only for our physical health but also for our mental wellbeing.

One of the key aspects of a successful daily routine is time management. This means prioritizing tasks and setting specific times for each activity throughout the day. This can help us avoid feeling overwhelmed and stressed, as well as ensure that we are able to accomplish all our necessary tasks.

Another important aspect is self-care. It may seem counterintuitive, but taking breaks and making time for ourselves can actually lead to increased productivity and energy levels. This can include activities such as exercise, meditation, or simply unplugging from technology for a period of time.

In addition, it is important to have a healthy balance between work and personal life. It can be easy to get caught up in the demands of our jobs, but it is crucial to make time for our hobbies, interests, and relationships outside of work. This can help us recharge and avoid burnout, allowing us to be more present and focused when we are at work.

Furthermore, maintaining a consistent sleep schedule is crucial for our overall well-being. It is recommended that adults get 7-9 hours of sleep each night in order to function at their best. Establishing a bedtime routine can help with falling asleep and staying asleep, leading to better rest and increased productivity during the day.

Lastly, don’t forget to take care of your mental health. This can include seeking therapy or counseling if needed, practicing mindfulness and self-reflection, and surrounding yourself with a supportive network of friends and family. Remember that it is okay to prioritize your mental health over work at times and to take breaks when necessary.

In conclusion, creating a well-balanced daily routine can greatly benefit working people in all aspects of their lives. By managing our time effectively, prioritizing self-care and personal life, maintaining a consistent sleep schedule, and taking care of our mental health, we can find balance and fulfillment in both our work and personal lives

Before going to bed, I have a cup of chamomile tea and read a book for 30 minutes. This helps me wind down and fall asleep easily.

Sunshine Strolls: a Cornerstone of a Healthy Lifestyle

This essay about the transformative effects of taking a walk in the sun explores how this simple activity contributes significantly to our physical, mental, and emotional health. Highlighting the physical benefits, it mentions how sunlight serves as a natural source of Vitamin D, vital for bone health and immune function, and how walking enhances cardiovascular health. Mentally, it points out that walking in sunlight can boost creativity and clarity of thought, while emotionally, it acts as a stress reliever, reducing cortisol levels and increasing endorphins. Additionally, the essay touches on how these walks can deepen our connection to the natural world and our community, offering a broader perspective on life. Ultimately, it presents sunlit strolls as an essential practice for maintaining a balanced and healthy lifestyle, emphasizing the importance of embracing the outdoors for overall well-being.

How it works

In the fast-paced whirlwind of modern life, the simple act of taking a walk in the sun has emerged as a profound source of rejuvenation and reflection. Far from being just a mundane part of our daily routines, a walk under the sun’s rays can be a transformative experience, offering physical, mental, and emotional benefits that enrich our lives in unexpected ways. This essay explores the multifaceted impact of this activity, highlighting its significance beyond mere exercise.

Physically, the benefits of soaking in sunlight while walking are well-documented.

The sun is a natural source of Vitamin D, essential for bone health and immune system function. Moreover, the rhythmic nature of walking stimulates cardiovascular health, enhancing blood circulation and oxygen flow throughout the body. But the advantages of a sunlit stroll extend far beyond the physical realm.

Mentally, walking in the sunshine acts as a catalyst for creativity and clarity of thought. The gentle warmth of the sun, combined with the rhythm of stepping, fosters an environment where the mind can wander and explore new ideas freely. It’s not uncommon for people to report having their best thoughts and problem-solving breakthroughs during these ambulatory moments. The sunlight also plays a crucial role in regulating our circadian rhythms, improving sleep patterns and overall mood.

Emotionally, the act of walking in the sun can be a powerful antidote to the stresses of everyday life. The combination of natural light and physical movement has been shown to reduce levels of cortisol, the body’s stress hormone, while boosting endorphins, creating a sense of calm and happiness. This dual effect can help mitigate feelings of depression and anxiety, making a sunlit walk a potent therapeutic tool in the quest for emotional well-being.

Beyond the individual benefits, walking in the sun also nurtures a deeper connection with the environment and community. It provides an opportunity to observe the natural beauty of our surroundings, fostering a sense of appreciation and awe that can be lost in the confines of indoor spaces. For many, these moments of connection serve as a reminder of the larger world beyond our immediate concerns and challenges, offering a broader perspective on life.

In essence, a walk in the sun is more than just a physical activity; it is a holistic experience that touches every facet of our being. It serves as a reminder of the simple joys of life, the importance of self-care, and the beauty of the natural world. As we navigate the complexities of modern existence, finding time for these sunlit strolls can be a vital practice for maintaining balance, fostering creativity, and cultivating a sense of peace. In the end, the transformative power of a walk in the sun lies not in the act itself but in our ability to open ourselves to the myriad of benefits it offers, embracing the light in more ways than one.

A routine helps children stay accountable, and on track, and they have something to look forward to every day. Here is a paragraph about daily routine for children:

You can know how well we perform as kids in school, home, and outdoor environments just by chalking out our daily routine. My parents have carved an amazing daily routine for me, which allows me to be free, healthy, and active in a disciplined way. Every day, I wake up at 5 am and brush my teeth. I answer nature’s call and go outside for a morning walk. After exercising in the fresh air, I come back and enjoy a healthy breakfast. I pack my bag and leave for school. My evening routine includes playtime with friends, study hours, dinner, and bedtime.

Understanding how to utilise one’s time effectively is an essential aspect of managing one’s daily routine. Below is an essay for classes 1, 2, and 3 on my daily routine for kids:

I understand the value of time, which is why I follow a daily routine. After a light exercise in the morning and enjoying a healthy meal, I pack my bag and prepare for school. My friends and teachers are people I look forward to meeting every day, and that is because they enrich my life. I follow a very well-made timetable, and I stay true to it. I return home from school in the evening and say my evening prayers. Then I change my uniform and take a rest for an hour. If I’m not sleepy, I might play a board game with my sibling or enjoy 30 minutes of video game time. I go for a stroll or play basketball with my friends in the evening. Then I do my revision and finish my school homework. We finish our dinner early at night, and I spend quality time with my parents. Before going to sleep, I say thanks for having such a lovely family and environment.

A routine isn’t something you think of at the last minute but is well-structured and organised. The purpose of a daily routine is to avoid cramming before tests and ensure you’re always prepared and at your best. Here is a long essay for class 3:

All people, including the ones who go to the office for work or school, should have a daily routine. A routine is a schedule that keeps one organised and energetic and gives you peace of mind. Without a good routine, there would be no law and order but complete chaos. We are living in strange times when kids think that a routine is a discipline when in reality, it is what grants them freedom. Entertainment is a part of every good daily routine, and I watch TV and play video games with my friends sometimes at home.

What I look forward to from my routine is proof of progress. It’s what makes all the hard work worth it. A person with a strict daily routine is under less stress because they know they are getting things done. I understand the importance of a daily routine and realise it will help me succeed.

Importance Of Daily Routine

Without a daily routine, I do not know where I would be. The importance of a daily routine as a student is that it is almost non-negotiable. We make great progress if we don’t take our routine for granted and stick to it. And it’s never too late to start! A sense of discipline is the key.

I get up early in the morning with my family. I brush my teeth and get myself fresh. Then I go for a morning walk. I talk about some light exercises. I come back home and take my bath. Then I offer my prayer to God. I take my breakfast and arrange my bag. At 7 o’clock I start for my school.

At 2 o’clock in the afternoon, I come back home. I change my uniform and take my lunch. I take a rest for an hour. I usually watch television during this time. Then I start doing my homework.

At about 6 o’clock in the evening, I go to play with my friends. We play cricket on the ground. Sometimes we go for an evening walk. After coming back I sit with my family. Sometimes I help my mother in the kitchen. At 8 o’clock we take our dinner while watching T.V. I once again revise my lessons for a short while and then go to sleep. Before sleeping I pray to God and wish my parents good night.

I usually stick to this routine, but sometimes on Sunday, I get up late in the morning. I play a lot with my friends but never forget to study.

A well-planned day ends up happily. So I always follow my routine strictly.

Daily Routine of My Life

3 Best Essays on “Daily Routine of My Life”

I am a student. Hence my daily life follows a very simple routine. It is more or less the same except on Sunday. I once heard from my teacher that early rising is the father of three blessings- healthy, wealth, and wisdom. Since then I have been rising early in the morning. I get up at 4 o’clock.

After doing my morning duties. I take bath in cold water. I put on my clean clothes and go to the temple. It is my mother’s wish that I should begin the day’s work with a prayer to God.

Then I take my breakfast. It consists of a few biscuits and a glass of milk. Then I sit at my books. I read them till 8 a.m. During three hours I practically finish all the reading of my lessons. Then I complete the home tasks on different subjects. I do not believe in eleventh-hour preparations. I know that labor will lead to success. At 9 I take my meal. I dress myself. I brush my shoes. At 9.30 I start for my school with my friend, Sohan on cycles.

The school begins at 10 a.m. I am at school ten minutes earlier. I do not take much interest in school work. In every period the teacher seems to be talking to the dullest boys. I often feel that there is no teaching for a brilliant boy. Hence I hate the classroom atmosphere still I attend to what each teacher says. I pay full respect to every teacher. Hence I learn different subjects according to the school timetable. In the first period, I learn English. In the last period, I learn History

During recess, I go to the canteen. I take tea there. After I play for some time with my friends. I also go to the library to borrow books. As soon as the recess ends. I go to my class to study for the last four periods. Recess makes us fresh for further study.

The school breaks up at 4 p.m. I return home at about 4.30 p.m. having taken the light lunch I take a rest for fifteen minutes. At 5 p.m. physical exercise in the gymnasium. Here is spend half an hour. My body beings to perspire. Then I run to the playground to take part in different games. My best interest goes to hockey. It is the game that refreshes my mind and makes me active. Then I get back home and take a cold bath. Now I feel myself light. After having my dinner I take an evening walk. Then I sat by the side of my mother. She tells me good stories. At about 140 p.m. I go to bed.

One Sunday and other holidays.  I sometimes go to the cinema for entertainment. At other times I go to visit my friends. On holidays there is a break in the daily routine. But I never break the golden rule of “ early to bed and early to rise.” Regularity in work has taught me the value of time.

I pray to God and learn my lesson. Then I have my breakfast and leave for my school. I take my lunch during the recess period.

I return home in the afternoon. I take rest for some time. Then I watch TV. program and take tea.

Then I finish my homework. After that, I go out and play for one hour.

In the evening, I help my mother in the kitchen. I take my supper and study for two hours.

Again I listen to TV. news. I drink a glass of milk.

The Daily Routine of My Life

Planning the schedule for the day is a very good habit. It helps us making correct use of the time that is at our disposal. This also makes a person regular and punctual, besides it decreases the workload on a person. In this way, he becomes more organized and free from tension.

I was taught this principle very early in life. Initially, I did not take it very seriously, however as the benefits of an organized day became obvious to me, I began to take this principle very seriously.

I get up very early in the morning. I brush my teeth and free myself from nature’s call. I then get dressed and go for a morning walk. I come back from the walk-in about an hour’s time. On the way back I pick up the milk from the milk booth. I reach home and go straight away to take my bath. After this, I take out my books and revise my lessons for the day. I then pack my bag according to the day’s school timetable. By this time my mother places the morning breakfast on the dining table. My breakfast consists of a glass of milk, bean sprouts, curd, and some fruit.

I leave for school at about 8.15 a.m. It takes about half an hour to reach the school. I enter the school gates at 8.45 a.m. At 9 am the assembly begins after which at 9.30 the classes commence.

My school gets over at about 3.15 in the evening. I reach home at 3.45 pin. I take off my school uniform and take some light snacks. I then lay down and take an hour’s nap and at 4.30 pm, I get up and wash my face. I then sit down to finish the day’s homework. I usually go out to play at 5.45 pm. I play for an hour. After which I come back home and drink a glass of milk. Thus refreshed I again sit down to finish the remaining homework.

After completing the home work I eat my dinner I then sit with my parents and watch some television programs. I go to bed at about 10 in the night.

In this way, my day comes to an end. All these years, while I have been practicing the daily schedule, there have been very few instances when I have had to take a break from this schedule. I try to follow it even on the days of the holiday. On these days, the school is substituted to revision of the lessons and pursuit of my hobby of reading.

Sometimes, the smallest adjustments to our daily routines can lead to the most significant improvements in our overall well-being.

From boosting your physical health to enhancing your mental clarity, here are eleven simple yet impactful changes you can start implementing today to transform your life for the better.

<p>As soon as you get up, before you even do anything else, take about a minute or two to fully stretch. That will help get the blood flowing, help you shake off the cobwebs from the night, and give you some energy to get moving with your morning routine. I like to do a basic stretch before I even get out of bed! It gets your body moving for the day and feels great!</p>

1. Exercise Regularly

Incorporating just 30 minutes of moderate exercise into your day can drastically improve your health, mood, and energy levels. Whether it’s a brisk walk, a yoga session, or a home workout, find an activity you enjoy and make it a part of your daily routine.

<p>There’s some merit in getting news information from social media. People share links to official news sources and talk about the stories. However, it’s also full of deep fakes and other misinformation that can look real and convince many people that they’re true.</p>

2. Limiting Social Media Use

Reducing the time spent scrolling through social media can significantly decrease feelings of anxiety and comparison. Set specific times for social media use and stick to them, freeing up more time for activities that bring you real joy and connection.

<p>Detox teas and diets claim to cleanse your body of toxins, but your liver and kidneys already do that naturally. Most detox products offer nothing more than a lighter wallet.</p>

3. Cutting Down on Caffeine

While a morning coffee might feel essential, excessive caffeine can disrupt your sleep and increase stress levels. Try gradually reducing your intake and exploring caffeine-free alternatives like herbal teas to keep your energy levels stable throughout the day.

<p>Getting a good night’s sleep is essential for overall well-being, but many of us struggle with insomnia or difficulties falling asleep. You’re not alone if you find yourself tossing and turning in bed, unable to drift off into dreamland.</p> <p>Fortunately, you can adopt various techniques and habits to improve your sleep quality. Let’s explore 15 things you can do to help you fall asleep faster and enjoy a more restful slumber.</p>

4. Prioritize Sleep

Aim for 7-9 hours of quality sleep each night. Establish a relaxing bedtime routine and maintain a consistent sleep schedule, even on weekends. Good sleep hygiene can enhance cognitive function, emotional well-being, and physical health.

<p>Ever wonder if the things we take for granted are true? We’re taking a closer look at 15 of some of the most popular myths, from the economic theories that shape our society to the health advice we follow.</p>

5. Stay Hydrated

Drinking enough water is crucial for maintaining optimal body function. Aim for at least 8 glasses a day, or more if you’re active. Staying hydrated helps with digestion, skin health, and energy levels.

<p>The health benefits of meditation and mindfulness are boundless. Breathing deeply can rejuvenate your entire body – and oxygen is free! Take some time to just focus on your breathing, relaxing your muscles, and just being. Those few minutes (or even seconds) are possibly the best type of self-care, allowing you to access your strength and uplift your spirit so you can soldier on with your day!</p>

6. Practice Mindfulness

Dedicate a few minutes each day to mindfulness or meditation. This practice can help reduce stress, improve focus, and promote a greater sense of peace and well-being.

<p>Not buying a quality vacuum cleaner is something a lot of people come to regret. What they find is that less expensive vacuums are more likely to break and don’t do their jobs that well.</p>

7. Declutter Your Space

A clutter-free environment can lead to a clutter-free mind. Spend a few minutes each day tidying up your living and workspaces. A clean and organized environment can boost productivity and reduce stress.

<p>Finding it hard to get yourself to wake up in the morning? You need to give your body firm signals that it’s wake-up time! As soon as you can, upon waking up in the morning, try to get yourself a bit of sunshine. Open the shades and look out your window, or even get outside if you can. If the sun is also feeling groggy that day, you can even look at pictures of sunny scenes to help cue your mind that it’s morning time and time to get going!</p>

8. Embrace Gratitude

Start or end your day by listing three things you’re grateful for. This simple practice can shift your focus from what you lack to what you have, fostering a positive mindset.

<p>If you have a small space in your house that’s not being used, then why not add a cushy pillow and a blanket to create a little nook where you can curl up and read a book or sip on a cup of coffee? It’ll be small, but you don’t need much space when you’re trying to cozy up.</p>

9. Make Time for Breakfast

Don’t skip the most important meal of the day. Eating a nutritious breakfast sets the tone for your dietary choices throughout the day and provides the energy needed to tackle your tasks.

<p>Starting your journey to retirement requires a clear picture of what you want it to look like. Take the time to set your retirement goals, considering essential factors in mind such as:</p> <ul> <li>Retirement Age: Determine when you aim to retire. Whether it’s an early retirement or a traditional age, having a target provides a timeline for your preparations.</li> <li>Lifestyle Aspirations: Consider the lifestyle you want to live in retirement. Evaluate your preferred activities, as well as any vacation or leisure plans.</li> <li>Financial Milestones: Identify specific financial milestones you want to achieve before and during retirement. This could include paying off debts, saving a certain amount, or investing in particular assets.</li> </ul> <p>By setting clear and personalized goals, you’re not only creating a roadmap for your retirement journey but also gaining a better understanding of the financial steps needed to turn these aspirations into reality.</p>

10. Set Daily Goals

Write down three achievable goals every morning. Having clear objectives can increase your productivity and give you a sense of accomplishment at the end of the day.

<p>It’s a cliche, but for a good reason. Don’t let your job define who you are and everything you do. Find a healthy life-work balance. When you’re not at work, try to put it out of mind and do things you get enjoyment from.</p>

11. Spend Time Outdoors

Fresh air and natural light can do wonders for your mental and physical health. Aim to spend at least 30 minutes outside each day, whether it’s a walk in the park, gardening, or just sitting in the sun.

<p>Over the past 25 years, society has seen significant changes in what it considers acceptable behavior. What was once deemed perfectly fine in the past is now often met with disapproval. As cultural norms and values continue to evolve, it’s essential to reflect on these changes and how they shape our daily lives.</p>

Amy Ettinger, who inspired readers with her life-affirming essays on dying, succumbs to cancer at 49

essay about routine life

( JTA ) — Amy Ettinger,  an author and creative writing instructor who chronicled the last months of her life in articles for the Washington Post , died March 20 from cancer at her home in Santa Cruz, California. She was 49.

Ettinger’s essays focused on the things she was able to do and cherish despite her diagnosis with a rare, incurable cancer called leiomyosarcoma : seeing a live performance of “Mamma Mia!” with her 14-year-old daughter, Julianna; eating her favorite pastry from a San Francisco bakery.

“ I’ve learned that life is all about a series of moments, and I plan to spend as much remaining time as I can savoring each one, surrounded by the beauty of nature and my family and friends,”she wrote.

Ettinger was an occasional contributor to Kveller, the Jewish family website that is a Jewish Telegraphic Agency partner. There she wrote about her mother’s kugel recipe (“light brown on its crispy top, and the color of milky coffee in the middle”) , and how she, as a “non-observant Jew,” marked Yom Kippur — which in 2013 happened to fall on her 10th wedding anniversary .

“Like Yom Kippur, a wedding anniversary is a time to take a step back from your daily life — to weigh the good and bad, to contemplate your triumphs and missteps, to make a vow to do better individually and as a couple,” she wrote.

Ettinger was born in Rochester, New York, and grew up in Cupertino, California. She discovered her calling as a journalist in high school. She majored in American literature at UC Santa Cruz and earned a master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University in 1999.

Her writing appeared in the New York Times, the Washington Post, New York Magazine, Salon, CNN and Newsweek. In a 2021 article for AARP, she wrote how her mother’s death inspired her to learn Sheila Ettinger’s favorite game: mahjong. She taught writing classes at Stanford Continuing Studies.

In 2017,  Penguin Random House published her memoir-cum-travelogue “Sweet Spot: An Ice Cream Binge Across America.” In it she wrote how she keeps “between fifteen and thirty dollars’ worth of ice cream in my freezer at all times” — not to eat, but as an “emergency backup system” in case one of her favorite shops or stores runs out.

Her follow-up story to her Washington Post article, titled  “I Have Little Time Left. I Hope My Goodbye Inspires You,” appeared on the newspaper’s homepage less than two weeks before she died.

“I am choosing to focus my limited time and energy on doing the things I love with the people I care most about. It’s a formula that works, I think, no matter where you are in your life,” she wrote.

In an article written after she died , her husband, the writer Dan White, wrote that she had dictated her last essay to him from a reading room at UC Santa Cruz with a view of a redwood forest. He said she had gotten hundreds of personal responses: A handful “unwelcome, including missives from ultrareligious people wanting my proudly Jewish wife to get saved to spare herself from hellfire,” but the vast majority saying Ettinger had inspired them to make the most of their lives no matter the cards they’d been dealt.

“Amy had no way of predicting that the lines she composed on the spot would be calls to action for readers from all over the United States, as well as Canada, Poland, France and Greece,” White wrote.

I almost died after my routine C-section. Things got worse from there

Months later, I'm still processing the trauma from my birth experience.

Nothing about having babies has been easy for me. After struggling with unexplained infertility for a year and a half, my first pregnancy ended in an unplanned cesarean section.

So, the second time around, that was the plan, too. Thankfully, my son was born healthy, but immediately after my routine C-section, things started to take a turn.

Rather than feeling overwhelmed with joy, I felt disoriented and lightheaded. I struggled to keep my eyes open. I'd been up at 4 a.m. that day and had just given birth, so I thought it was normal. I was vaguely aware nurses had taken my newborn to be cleaned and weighed. I closed my eyes to rest while they stitched me back up.

Looking back, I should’ve known something was wrong. When my first son was born, I couldn’t stop staring at him. I was alert in the operating room, even though I had been in labor for 30+ hours beforehand. This time, I felt an overwhelming urge to sleep.

When my first son was born, I couldn’t stop staring at him. I was alert. ... This time, I felt an overwhelming urge to sleep.

The medical staff was discussing my blood pressure, which had dropped alarmingly low. I was given IV fluids, and I started to wake up a bit. Minutes later, I experienced the lightheaded sensation again and started dry heaving. My husband and baby were quickly shuttled out of the OR, and it became clear to me that something was wrong.

As I was lying on the table, my doctor’s face appeared above mine.

“I am going to feel around in your uterus for a clot,” she said, one hand inside me and the other pushing on my belly. “If I can’t feel anything, I will have to go back in.”

Her search was futile. She couldn’t determine what was going on and my blood pressure continued to drop. The team quickly decided to send me back into surgery.

“A lot of people are going to come in the room now. They are all here to help. Try to stay calm,” my doctor said.

“I’m scared. I have two babies now,” I said. My doctor replied that they would do everything they could to keep me safe.

“If we need to, we will perform a life-saving hysterectomy,” she said.

I thought to myself: Is my life in danger?

I was terrified, but the next thing I knew I had a mask over my mouth for anesthesia.

Later, I learned that the surgery was about two hours long, and that I suffered from uterine atony, a condition in which the uterus muscles do not contract after birth, leading to massive blood loss. I hemorrhaged three liters of blood (about half the blood in the body) during the surgery. The doctors had to stitch my uterus up to force it to contract.

“Hemorrhages occur in approximately 1% to 6% of births according to the National Institutes of Health,” says Dr. Jill Purdie , board-certified OB-GYN and medical director at Pediatrix Medical Group in Atlanta. She adds that excessive blood loss is more common during a C-section since the uterus has to be cut open to deliver the baby.

I can’t imagine what my poor husband was going through, holding our newborn baby and seeing the worried look on the doctors’ faces.

“I wasn’t sure if you were going to make it,” he said to me after the surgery.

When I woke up, an orthopedist stood over me and told me that my arm would be OK.

My arm? “I’m confused,” I said.

During the surgery, an IV had slipped out of my vein and filled my arm with fluid. It’s a rare accident called an IV infiltration. My arm was so swollen that I could not close my hand. My entire arm, from wrist to elbow, was purple for a month. Luckily, it was mostly cosmetic, but another thing to add to my medical history.

I was wheeled to the recovery room, where I finally held my new baby. I stayed there all day for monitoring and eventually headed to the labor and delivery floor that night.

The next day, I had an abdominal CT scan to check on the internal bleeding. After, the physician’s assistant visited my room.

“The CT scan of the abdomen was normal, but the image showed something in the lower portion of the lungs,” she said. “How are you feeling? Any shortness of breath?”

“No,” I responded. I felt like I had had a C-section — so, not great — but I wasn't experiencing any severe pain, bleeding or alarming symptoms.

“The doctors suspect you have a pulmonary embolism, but we won’t be sure until we do another CT scan,” the PA said.

I was rushed to imaging while my husband stayed behind with the baby. The results returned quickly, and the PA told me the suspicions were correct.

“You have blood clots in both lungs. Strangely, you seem to be asymptomatic,” she said.

“I’m sorry, what?” I thought I was going home soon and now, on top of almost bleeding out, I had a new serious health complication — one that kills people.

Natalie Rizzo during birth

According to Dr. Danielle Wright-Terrell, an OB-GYN for the U.S. Air Force and CEO of HONEY , a postpartum support platform, “Venous thromboembolism (VTE), or blood clots, is a serious complication after birth (that) accounts for 9.3% of all maternal deaths.” She says that those who have a C-section are four times more likely to have a blood clot.

I’m lucky they caught mine when they did. Rather than going home to my 2-year-old, I was hooked up to an IV blood thinner. These meds don't break up the clot, but they prevent it from getting bigger and stop new clots from forming. The doctors were worried that the blood thinners could cause another bleeding event, so I was moved to a different floor for 24-hour monitoring.

To put the icing on the incredibly crappy cake, with the trauma of my delivery, my breast milk hadn’t come in yet, so my baby stayed behind in the nursery to be fed. I was incredibly thankful to the nurses caring for him during that time. My new room didn’t have a chair for my husband to sleep in, so I sent him home to sleep for the night.

Hooked up to a bunch of machines, I tried to sleep. I woke at 4 a.m. and burst into tears. The whole experience was such a whirlwind that I didn’t even have time to process it.

I was scared, sad and confused about why this was happening to me. I was healthy and didn’t have a high-risk pregnancy. I even kept running until I was 6 months pregnant, and I went to the gym most days until a week before birth.

After the 24-hour observation, the pulmonologist said I was doing well and could go home on blood thinners.

“You can’t breastfeed on these medications though,” he said.

I didn’t care. I just wanted to go home and see my 2-year-old, but I was also terrified that something else would happen to me.

What if the blood clots traveled somewhere else in my body? What if I started to bleed internally again? The doctors assured me those things were highly unlikely.

My total hospital stay was five days. After hemorrhaging and developing blood clots in the lungs, I went home and started my postpartum life.

Coping with a traumatic birth

Between the little sleep and learning to manage two under two, I didn’t have time to think about the events of those few days. But now, five months later, the birth replays in my head like a movie.

With two under two, I didn't have time to think about the events of those few days. But months later, the birth replays in my head like a movie.

“A birth experience that does not go according to plan can make you feel like things are out of your control,” says Dr. Nina E. Ross, Section Chief of Reproductive Psychiatry at Jersey Shore University Medical Center.

Dr. Kara Kushnir, psychotherapist and the founder of A Work of Heart Counseling , adds: “Following a traumatic birth, many individuals experience dissociation and struggle to feel present and connect with their baby, and they are more susceptible to postpartum anxiety, depression, OCD or postpartum PTSD."

Therapy is beneficial to process trauma , but Ross also recommends focusing on small everyday decisions, like choosing what clothes to wear, to help regain that sense of control. “It may be helpful to share your birth story with others, such as with loved ones, therapists or a support group … to validate your own experience, process the event and feel supported by others,” says Ross.

A few months after giving birth, I started therapy to process my trauma. My therapist says we are working to put words to the movie that plays in my head. She assures me this will help manage my residual anxiety.

As for my physical health, I’m still on blood thinners, but my cardiologist thinks I can come off the medication soon. At six months postpartum, I'll have an echocardiogram to see if the clots have dissipated.

I also started running again, and I have been amazed at my progress. I’m signed up for two half marathons this spring and can’t wait to cross those finish lines.

How to overcome writer’s block and boost your essay productivity

  • April 15, 2024 11:04 AM

Digital Team

Writing is a comprehensive task that is physically and mentally taxing. As a result, it often leads to writer’s block, a state where your brain cannot give you the right content and goes blank for some time. The situation is characterized by a lack of motivation; an individual feels stuck and unable to start writing even after a long resting period. Most students and writers experience this challenge, which reduces their productivity, making life stressful at some point. So, what should you do when you experience writer’s block? Do you have to wait until your mind tells you to continue working? How can you avoid the frustration that results from this condition?

Experienced writers and researchers have identified some of the most effective approaches to helping students overcome writer’s block and improve their productivity. This article outlines practical methods to help students write their papers even when they don’t feel like it. Read on to find out.

It feels satisfying and encouraging when your friends, classmates, parents, or teachers help you during the most challenging times. But did you know online homework helpers can be helpful to you when you’re experiencing writer’s block? You can seek help from a trustworthy essay writing service if you can’t figure out how to write your assignments or complete papers you’ve already begun working on. These online companies offer the best assistance to students by giving them ideas on how to start their homework and guiding them in their academic lives.

  • Create a clean workspace free from distractions

As a writer, your working space significantly impacts your productivity. A cluttered space with distractions can interrupt your concentration, hindering you from starting or completing your assignment. However, decluttering the working desk or space and creating a quiet and comfortable space allows you to think better and improve your writing speed and quality of papers.

Writing when you are restless or uncomfortable exacerbates writer’s block, reducing your ability to think critically and write top-quality papers. Consequently, it reduces your productivity. Therefore, it is advisable to remove any form of distraction, including noise, unwanted materials, and digital equipment like smartphones. In addition, you should clean your reading desk and ask your family members to remain quiet when you’re studying or handling an assignment.

  • Prioritize Self-Care

Self-care is directly related to productivity and satisfaction. It includes practising proper personal hygiene, maintaining a healthy sleeping pattern, and engaging in physical activities. Scheduling time for self-care can motivate you to focus on writing tasks. Other hobbies such as reading, listening to music and swimming could also be incorporated into day-to-day activities to enhance proper health and refreshment. These practices reduce the fatigue and burnout that may result from writing for a long period.

  • Use the Pomodoro Timer Technique

The Pomodoro timer technique uses a time management application with different time schedules. When a writer is experiencing a block, it is advisable to schedule work, set goals and plan tasks. The strategy involves outlining tasks and preparing a plan based on their urgency while estimating the time you will take to complete them without interruptions. It often involves allocating each task 25-30 minutes.

After assigning each task a particular duration, you should begin working on it until the alarm rings, then take a short break between 5 and 25 minutes and resume writing.

  • Embrace writing and develop a regular pattern

Becoming an experienced writer is a gradual process, and it takes time and effort to acquire and improve the necessary skills for effective writing . Therefore, despite the challenges you may face as a student or writer, always work hard to improve yourself by developing a strong routine. According to a recent report by The Guardian , writing regularly can help you become a serial writer. In addition, you should find a time when you consider yourself more productive and plan to write during that period.

  • Break Down Tasks and Prioritize

Writer’s block often results from burnout associated with huge chunks of work and long working hours. Therefore, it is easy to resolve it by planning and prioritizing tasks. For instance, if you’re handling big tasks such as long-page essays and dissertations, you should consider preparing outlines and dividing the assignments into smaller chunks you can complete systematically. In addition, you should prioritize tasks by completing the ones with short deadlines to avoid the last-minute rush, which may lead to anxiety; this technique motivates you to handle each task with the attention it deserves and reduces the stress associated with massive work, promoting productivity.

Final thought

Writer’s block is common among students and in the writing community. It often results in poor performance and reduces productivity; this can take a short or long time, depending on an individual’s psychological status and the strategies they employ to overcome the condition. Some common approaches include creating a conducive working space, using timing techniques, breaking tasks into smaller chunks, prioritizing tasks, practising self-care and creating a regular writing pattern. You should also remember that every student or writer may experience writer’s block. So, you shouldn’t expect every strategy to fight the condition; you must understand yourself and try different techniques to identify what can work best for you.

The Rebirth Of Megan Thee Stallion

With her third album on the way, hip-hop’s it girl is in her strongest era yet. Here, the Grammy-winning rapper reveals how she quiets the noise of haters, hypes herself up, and embraces a revamped approach to health and wellness.

Megan Thee Stallion has changed.

The proof is in the clips of her workouts she posts on social media: She delivers fast-talking, hilarious voice-over about powering through booty-burning donkey kicks by renaming them “stallion kicks” and declaring thigh work with resistance bands worth it because “my thighs look good as f*ck!” Known for keeping it real and raw—especially when it comes to her ratchet bars—the aptly named Thee Hot Girl Coach and Mother Fitness is the baddie giving I’ve-got-this energy.

Megan, 29, playfully tosses strands of blonde hair out of her face as she declares to me of her ability to incite inspo, “I’m that girl.” But let’s be honest: “Getting out of bed to work out in the morning is a struggle,” she says. “I have to get mentally prepared. I’m like, ‘I can stay here for another hour, or I can get up and go work out and be a bad bitch. If I want to be a stallion and not a pony, I got to get up and put in the work.’”

This dedicated grind has played a massive part in her becoming an undeniable force in music and entertainment. Going from playing small gigs in Houston in the mid-2010s to dominating the charts with No. 1 hits like “ Body ” and the Grammy-winning “ Savage Remix ” with Beyoncé, Megan (born Megan Pete) has secured her spot as hip-hop’s hot girl. And with her third album on the way via her imprint Hot Girl Productions—and more acting roles on the horizon after appearing in the movie Dicks: The Musical and the TV show P-Valley —she’s showing no signs of slowing down. “I always feel like, ‘I got to do something better,’” Megan says of her drive. “I can’t be stuck. I can’t be stagnant.”

A few years ago, however, static is exactly how she felt. In July 2020, Megan was shot by rapper and former friend Tory Lanez after leaving a Hollywood Hills party together. The shooting, for which Tory was found guilty in December 2022, left Megan bloodied, unable to walk, and with bullet fragments in her feet.

meghan thee stallion posing nude with her legs pulled up to her chest, looking at the camera

Over time, she healed physically, but mentally, she suffered. “A lot of people didn’t treat me like I was human for a long time,” says Megan, who endured an immense amount of hate from fellow artists, strangers, and bloggers who questioned her recollection of the experience. “I feel like everybody was always used to me being the fun and happy party girl. I watched people build me up, tear me down, and be confused about their expectations of me. As a Black woman, as a darker Black woman, I also feel like people expect me to take the punches, take the beating, take the lashings, and handle it with grace. But I’m human.”

She suppressed her true feelings for a while, appearing to love every moment of superstardom. But as Megan’s career continued to heat up—her raunchy collab “ W.A.P. ” with Cardi B. became the first female rap duet to debut at the top of the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 in August 2020—so did her behind-the-scenes struggle. “Before I went onstage, I would be crying half the time because I didn’t want to [perform], but I also didn’t want to upset my fans,” Megan says. The weight of her emotions eventually caught up with her, leading to what she calls “dark times.” “I didn’t want to get [out] from under the covers,” she says, tears building in her eyes. “I stayed in my room. I would not turn the lights on. I had blackout curtains. I didn’t want to see the sun. I knew I wasn’t myself. It took me a while to acknowledge that I was depressed. But once I started talking to a therapist, I was able to be truthful with myself.”

Therapy was just the beginning of Megan’s healing. She also ended relationships that no longer served her and deleted social media from her phone to avoid trolls and doomscrolling. Then she was inspired to move her body as she started mending her soul. “Working on myself made me get into working out because I needed to focus my energy somewhere else,” she says. “I used working out to escape and to get happy.” Now, she gets physical regularly.

Four or five days a week, Megan sweats it out in Pilates class , at the gym, or at the beach with one of her two trainers, Emory “Joc” Bernard and Tim Boutte. For cardio, she runs up sand hills at the beach or spends 40 minutes on the StairMaster or elliptical. When targeting her legs and thighs, she does hip thrusts, goblet squats, leg extensions, and those “stallion kicks.” Weighted situps work her abs, and lat pulldowns, lat flies, and renegade rows strengthen her back.

a person lying on a rock

Flaunting the assets she works hard for is a flex Megan takes pride in. “I’m in a space where I feel good mentally, so I want to look as good as I feel,” says the rapper, who has a sportswear collection with Nike . For her, looking good means having a bod that resembles a volleyball player’s. The appeal? “Strong legs!” says the 5'10" Stallion. “You look like you can jump high. I love that look.” On her way to achieving her ideal physique, Megan noticed that no matter how much she worked, she still had “this little gut,” she says. So, she leveled up her diet by scaling back on bread, tuna melts, and red meat and eliminating sugary drinks like soda, juice, and cognac. Today, she drinks about a gallon of water a day and reaches for tequila instead. When Megan realized she no longer felt bloated and her skin became noticeably clearer, she knew she was on the right track.

Modifying her diet wasn’t all about vanity, though. Megan also wanted to feel better. She’s eased long-standing stomach issues by consuming more nutrient-rich foods, like avocados. These days, she maintains healthy eating habits by drinking a strawberry, banana, almond milk, and protein powder smoothie or a green juice in the morning before she works out, eating pan-seared salmon for lunch, and having sea bass or cod for dinner along with tomatoes, sweet potatoes, kale, or brown rice; she snacks on cucumber slices with salt and pepper, and cherry tomatoes with light balsamic vinaigrette. But she’ll never give up pepper jack cheese and dark chocolate. “I am still a Southern girl, so I like to eat what I want,” she says. “I just don’t go overboard.”

What does remain boundless is the lyricist’s power with a pen. Strengthening her mind-body connection through journaling has led to writing deeper rhymes and transforming how she shows herself love. By jotting her emotions down daily, Megan says she’s moving away from the tendency to “slip into using hate language toward myself.” Instead, she’s discovering “a more positive approach” to the way she speaks to and about herself.

meghan thee stallion posing nude in a side profile view standing on her tiptoes

Every morning, she reserves time to journal, meditate, pray, apply a hydrating face mask, play with her dogs, and listen to music. Currently in rotation are Linkin Park, Three 6 Mafia, Paramore, and UGK. “Alone time is something I need,” she says. “I like getting up and being able to be at peace. In my everyday life, I speak with so many people. When I perform, I take on so many energies. I like to recharge my battery. Let the start of the day be about me; then, I can give my energy to everybody else.”

She also finds solace in the shower. “I love the sound of running water,” she says. “I can clear my head.” Megan does a lot of her best writing in the shower. She feels most powerful when writing and recording. And her next album, she says, will be her strongest yet. “I was inspired to create this album about rebirth because I feel I am becoming a new person physically and mentally,” says Megan, who chose a snake as the project’s motif because it is emblematic of her renewal. “They’re feared, misunderstood, respected, healing,” she adds, a sizable diamond-encrusted snake necklace sparkling around her neck.

At the time of this interview, Megan dropped two singles from the project: “ Cobra ,” on which she discusses battling anxiety, depression, thoughts of suicide, and the deaths of both her parents, and “ Hiss ,” where she comes for those who tried to threaten her peace. On the first track, Megan displays sensitivity, while on the second, she’s full of fierce energy. Admittedly, she battles with showing both emotions in her music. “I’ve always struggled to figure out how to be vulnerable and still make music that is going hard at the same time,” she says. But she’s learning that showing her softer side doesn’t mean she’s compromising her strength, even when social pressures might cause her to feel otherwise. “I’m getting into a better space with making music that is still true to myself but also true to my message,” she adds. “I am very much a flower, but my flower has thorns.”

The sentiment is classic Megan: layered, inspiring, authentic, and with her strength to persevere in full bloom. “I’m proud to still be here,” she says. “I didn’t quit. I want to see myself grow and be better than I am right now. And I will. I know I will.” No doubt, an attitude like that is worth all the hype.
