Memorable Day of My Life: 120 Words

Last month, our school arranged a trip to the Taj Mahal, Agra. The beauty of the Taj Mahal seemed to have no parallel.  It is made of white marble on the bank of the river Yamuna. The garden in front of it has tall cypress trees, colourful flowers, and rows of mountains. Many precious gems and stones are seen set on the tomb.

I found in the Taj Mahal the artistic and cultural heritage of India. Every stone of this building tells the story of the true love of Shah Jahan and Mumtaz. The white marble structure unrolled before me a new world of beauty. It is, indeed, matchless in beauty and grandeur. That’s why it is considered one of the seven wonders of the world. I was greatly charmed by its beauty. I felt breathless for a white. It was undoubtedly the most memorable day of my life.

A memorable incident is an incident which leaves an everlasting impression on our minds. The most memorable incident of my life is when I got an opportunity to exhibit my talent on stage in front of a huge audience. I always dreamt of becoming a singer. As a kid, I used my toothbrush as the mike and treated my dolls as my audience.

I was enrolled in a vocal training course in an eminent singer’s singing class and from there, based on my performance I was selected to display my skills at the Zee Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. Initially, I was a bit nervous, but got over it soon when I heard the tune. My performance was well received and the audience acclaimed me with their applauds and kept yelling “once more”. The incident made me feel on top of the world.

Memorable Day of My Life Essay: 200-250 Words

A moment which is sweet lasts long in our memory. I distinctly remember the day. My H. S. examination was over and I was having a relaxed time. One day, after spending the afternoon with my friends, I returned home.

My parents were waiting for me. Sister also came running. She was carrying a big envelope in her hand. They all seemed to be very excited and their faces bore reflections of animated joy. My sister shouted that there was a good news for me in the envelope and she would not tell unless she got a heavy bakshis.

After much cajoling, I could get the letter. Lo and behold! It was the admission letter from the I.I.T, Kharagpur. My joy then knew no bounds, I did quite well in the joint entrance examination. But to get selected finally in the highly competitive all-India test was something none could be sure of. In fact, I was a little tense to know the result.

Parents blessed me for my success. Neighbours also came. They all congratulated me again and again. I was lost in golden dreams. At last, I was going to join an institution of international fame! It was the happiest and most memorable day in my life because my future career got a definite direction that day. But that happy day taught me a lesson, too. I made up my mind to work hard in order to be successful in my career.

The Best Day of My Life Essay

The best day of my life is my 16th birthday. It is a day I will never forget in my life. I consider it till now my best birthday. All my relatives and friends were present at my birthday party. The best part of the party was my grandmother was present there. For the last time, she prepared all the food items I loved eating. It is even more special as it was the last day that I spent with her, after which she passed away. I spent the most time with her and she also enjoyed herself a lot with me for the last time in her life. This birthday is even more special as it was my last birthday with my grandmother.

The best day of my life was when I went on a school outing with my friends. We ate delicious food and enjoyed the day to the fullest.

I woke up at 6 am and got ready for school. My mother dropped me to school. From there we went to a science park by bus. During the entire journey we danced, sang, played games, and did many more fun activities. We ate snacks and played games with our teacher also. When we arrived we visited the science city and enjoyed every bit of it.

Besides the science park, it was a water park, so we quickly changed our clothes and jumped into the pool. We enjoyed ourselves in the pool, and we kept on playing for an hour. After that, we took a bath and changed clothes. We had rice and chicken for our lunch. We loved the food. After the food, we returned by bus. During the whole bus journey, we sang and danced.

This day is memorable as I could spend it with my friends. The day was a day to be remembered. We had so much fun together. Everything is worth remembering from the beginning to the end of the journey.

Life is full of events - both good and bad. Some things will be forgotten over time, and some will stay in your heart forever. Life is full of surprises and shocks, good and bad news, and unexpected turns. Fortune can benefit some people in life, and help them to reach the pinnacle of glory and happiness.

The Best Day of My Life

Recently I received the best gift from my dad. Since childhood, I always wanted a dog, and recently he had brought me one. I was studying in my room, dad entered my room with a labrador in his hands. I jumped from my bed with happiness. I also started crying as I could not believe my eyes. My mom and dad were always against having a dog. But he brought it, and made it the best day of my life.

Significance of My Best Day

I still remember myself bursting into tears and happiness at the same time. That night I held Bruno the whole time. The next moment I saw myself buying stuff for the dog. I bought food, clothes, toys, and many more things which would make him happy. That night I held him tight and slept beside him. I could not sleep the whole night due to the excitement.

I looked at him throughout the entire night with utmost happiness and surprise. That day was the best day of my life as I got my best friend. A best friend who would never leave me. A best friend who will always be there for me whenever I need him.A best friend who will make me the happiest. A friend who will love me to the fullest. That dog gave me the ultimate happiness and, this is how the day became the best day of my life. I named the dog Bruno.

I am always looking for him whenever I come back from school. He always jumps, licks me, and wags his tail after seeing me. My friends come along with me to play with him. Bruno also became their friend.

What I Love about My Dog

The thing that I love about Bruno the most is that he can gel well with people. My sister was not that comfortable with dogs. But Bruno made her fall in love with him. They are now the best of friends. He would jump in happiness whenever he saw him. She would also run toward him and would pick him up. She feeds him food and always brings toys and treats for him. She loves her to the fullest and, at the same time he loves her to the fullest. This is how Bruno became everyone's favourite.

Every person has some happy days and some bad days in their life. Both help people learn different things from these different experiences. But the happy days are worth remembering. They help you cheer on your days of sadness and bring back all the memories that are worth cherishing. The best day has a great impact on our life.

Essay on My Most Memorable Day of Life

Hello Readers, today in this article, we will going to see an essay on My Most Memorable Day of Life, so without wasting more your time, let’s dive into it.

Essay on My Most Memorable Day of Life feature image

I remember it very clearly. I was in the third standard and my school was holding a Christmas celebration just before the winter break started. It was morning time and I was going to school with my father.

My father used to drop me to school every day before going to his office. He is an accountant. My mother is a police officer and she would come late at night so my father and I would make breakfast for her every day while she slept. For the Christmas holidays, we were planning to go to Goa for vacations. I was very happy and excited. We were going out after so long.

For the Christmas celebration, our school hosted a huge program because it was a boys-only convent school. We always had a skit performance about how Jesus Christ was born and a huge choir group used to sing.

After the principal’s long speech, we always have a feast and at the end, they used to give us a chocolate cake with rum. That day was no different. My father dropped me to school and I rushed inside to meet my friends. Thereafter we attended the morning assembly as usual.

The Christmas celebration started and I took part in card making competition. I had prepared a lot for this competition. I even went to my grandmother’s house yesterday so she could give me some ideas.

My grandmother was very good at drawing and so she drew a light outline of a Christmas tree and Santa Claus on a sheet of paper for me. The plan was that I would draw over the lines and colour the figures and blow some glitter over the card.

I took out all my supplies like fevicol, scissors, my favourite set of wax crayons that my cousin sister gifted me on my last birthday and set to work.

I was almost halfway done when the teacher approached my desk. I could never understand why the teachers took so much interest and roamed the class to spy over their students’ work.

When the teacher reached my table, I got so nervous that I knocked over my pencil box and everything fell on the floor. Everything littered on the floor-my pencils, sharpener, eraser.

I bent to pick up everything and by the time I assembled everything back to place, the teacher had seen my card. I was terrified because I thought that he would see the outline of the figures my grandmother made to help me but the teacher, Mr. Rao, smiled at me appreciatively and walked ahead.

I was shocked but quickly got back to complete my work because the time was running out. The designated time for the competition got over and we all moved to the auditorium to attend the skit performance.

I remember laughing till my stomach ached because the boy who was playing Virgin Mary’s character had a lot of trouble with his costume. I remember groaning together with the rest of the boys as the Principal walked on the stage to make one of his long long speeches.

He started and I tuned out though I remember him saying something about integrity and honour and the joy of festivals. Then he wished us all a very Merry Christmas and allowed the great feast to finally commence.

We all eagerly rushed to the Main Area for the feast and had delicious Paneer tikka and Chicken curry. I remember watching the boy sitting beside me, Arun, vomit everything out and I remember thinking that maybe I should slow down and actually chew my food before swallowing.

One of the teachers helped the poor boy off his chair and to the sick room. I remember gobbling down his share of the special Christmas cake with rum.

Then it was finally time for the announcement of winners from the Christmas card making competition. My breath hitched and clutched my hands together to stop them from shaking.

The teacher who was announcing, Mrs. Kothari, took a long time before she reached my class. And suddenly I could hear my name booming in her voice.

I had won the second prize in the Christmas card making competition! I was elated. I rushed to the stage and accepted the certificate for a runner up with shaking hands from my Principal. I was grinning so wide I thought my face would split into two.

Afterwards, when I reached home from the daycare in the evening with my father, I saw my mother opening the front door for us. But how? She was supposed to be at work.

She engulfed me in a hug and I told her everything, not missing even a single detail. After washing up, I called my grandmother and told her that I won the second prize.

She let out a whoop and congratulated me and said that she is so proud of me. It was the first time anyone had told me that. It was truly a very good, happy and memorable day!

So how was this essay on the most memorable day of my life? I hope you liked it, if so then don’t forget to share this with your friends and social handles. And enjoy the rest of your day. Bye!

500 Words Essay on Most Memorable Moment Of My Life

Introduction to my most memorable moment.

Every person has a few moments in their life that stick with them forever. These are the times that bring a smile to our faces when we think back on them. For me, the most memorable moment was when I won the first prize in a school art competition.

The Day of the Competition

It was a sunny day, and the school hall was buzzing with excitement. Students from all grades had come together to show their artistic skills. I remember feeling a mix of nerves and excitement as I laid out my paints and brushes. My heart was beating fast, and my hands were a little shaky. I took a deep breath and started to paint, trying to put all my feelings and thoughts onto the paper.

The Challenge

The challenge was to create a painting that showed ‘Nature in its Full Glory.’ I had practiced for weeks, but now that the moment was here, it felt different. I had to choose the right colors, the right strokes, and bring my vision to life. I looked around at the other students, who were all focused on their work. It made me want to do my best.

Time Flies By

As I got more into the painting, I forgot about everything else. It was just me, my brushes, and the canvas. Before I knew it, the teachers were announcing that time was up. I stepped back and looked at my work. It was a scene of a sunrise over the mountains with birds flying in the sky. I was proud of it, but I didn’t know if it would be enough to win.

The Announcement

After what felt like forever, the judges came in with their decision. They called out the names for the third and second places. My heart sank a little with each name that wasn’t mine. And then, they called out the first place, and it was my name! I couldn’t believe it. I walked up to the stage, my legs feeling like jelly, to receive my prize. The applause from my friends and teachers filled the room. It was the best feeling ever.

The Impact on Me

Winning the competition didn’t just give me a trophy; it gave me confidence. I realized that if I worked hard and put my heart into something, I could achieve great things. It also made me love art even more. I knew that no matter what happened in life, I could always find joy in painting.

The memory of winning the art competition is something that will always be a part of me. It was a day when I overcame my fears, put my skills to the test, and came out victorious. It taught me valuable lessons about hard work, passion, and self-belief. This moment will forever be a source of happiness and inspiration in my life.

The Most Memorable Day of My Life

Life is an unending experience of joys and sorrows. I, too, had my share of sad and happy moments. One of my most joyous encounters with my life stands out pleasantly fresh in my memory. It was the day full of happy incidents. It was Monday the 21th of November 2018. My annual results were to be declared on that day. The morning smiled at me brightly when I learnt that I had topped the list of successful candidates in my class. I felt simply overjoyed. My parents and other people at home were jubilant and there was a celebration in my honour. I received a bicycle as a gift from my father.

At around 12.30 p.m. there was a call for me. Thought it to be one of the congratulatory calls, I casually went to receive it. I almost screamed with merriment, when I heard an old friend Haider speaking to me! I had lost connection with him about two years ago due to a misunderstanding between us. He wanted to come and meet me. I felt very excited when ultimately we met. We felt like the same old pals! We were having lunch together. The postman brought in a registered letter which was opened by my father. My father had got his long-awaited promotion! This further added in our excitement. We decided to go out for dinner in honour of my father. Finally, this eventfully glorious day ended and we were in sound sleep. At the end of midnight, I heard a knock at the door. To my utter joy and surprise, I saw my younger brother, who had been missing for six months, standing in front of me! What could be a greater moment than this? We all went mad with joy. I saw tears in everyone’s eyes in my family. These were the tears of extreme happiness.

When my father came from Hyderabad, he brought me a soft shining pair of shoes. I accepted the shoes with delight and got very happy. I was eager to put it on my feet. I could say them all because my mother taught me them at home. Then he became very pleased with me and admitted me in class one. Memorable Day in School Life

One of the most memorable days of my life was during my school years. I remember it like it was yesterday. It was the day of our school’s annual sports day, and I had been chosen to represent my class in the 100-meter race.

I was nervous, but also excited to compete. As I stood at the starting line, I could feel my heart pounding in my chest. The whistle blew, and we were off. I pushed myself to run as fast as I could, and before I knew it, I had crossed the finish line in first place. It was an incredible feeling to have won, and I was so proud of myself.

After the race, we had lunch at a nearby restaurant with our teachers and classmates. It was a fun and relaxed atmosphere, and we all enjoyed each other’s company. We laughed and joked around, and it was a great bonding experience.

Looking back, that day was special for many reasons. It was a day of triumph, celebration, and camaraderie. It was a day that I will never forget, and one that I will always cherish.

In conclusion, my memorable day in school life was a combination of hard work, fun, and friendship. It was a day that brought our school community together and reminded us of the importance of teamwork and determination.

Using Social Media and Internet

In today’s digitally connected world, social media and the internet have become powerful tools for job seekers to research potential employers and prepare for interviews. By leveraging these tools, candidates can gain valuable insights into the company culture, mission, and values, and tailor their responses to interview questions accordingly.

One way to use social media in the interview process is to research the company’s social media presence. By following the company’s social media accounts, candidates can gain a better understanding of the organization’s brand voice, marketing strategy, and target audience. This information can be used to tailor responses to interview questions, such as “What brands serve as your inspiration on social media?” or “What intrigues you about marketing?”

Another way to use the internet in the interview process is to research the company’s website and online presence. By reviewing the company’s website, candidates can gain insight into the organization’s mission, values, and culture. This information can be used to tailor responses to interview questions, such as “Why do you want to work here?” or “What do you love most about working in social media?”

In addition to researching the company, candidates can also use social media and the internet to prepare for common interview questions. For example, by searching for “social media interview questions,” candidates can find a wealth of resources, including lists of common interview questions and sample responses. By reviewing these resources, candidates can prepare for a variety of interview scenarios and feel more confident going into the interview.

Overall, social media and the internet can be powerful tools for job seekers to prepare for interviews and research potential employers. By leveraging these tools, candidates can gain valuable insights into the company culture, mission, and values, and tailor their responses to interview questions accordingly.

Concluding Your Answer

When concluding your answer to the memorable day of my life interview question, it’s important to be concise and clear. Summarize the main points of your story and tie it back to how it has impacted you and your motivations. This will help the interviewer understand the meaning behind your experience and how it has shaped you as a person.

One way to do this is to highlight the key takeaways from your story. For example, if your most memorable day was when you volunteered at a homeless shelter, you could conclude your answer by saying something like, “Overall, my experience at the homeless shelter taught me the importance of giving back to my community and helping those in need. It has motivated me to continue volunteering and has given me a greater appreciation for the things I have in my own life.”

Another way to conclude your answer is to tie it back to the job you’re interviewing for. If your most memorable day relates to a skill or quality that is important for the position, make sure to mention it. For example, if your most memorable day was when you organized a fundraiser for a charity, and the job you’re interviewing for requires strong organizational skills, you could say something like, “This experience taught me the importance of planning and executing a successful event, which I believe will be valuable in this position.”

Overall, when concluding your answer to the memorable day of my life interview question, remember to be confident, knowledgeable, and neutral. Avoid making exaggerated or false claims, and focus on conveying the meaning behind your experience and how it has impacted you.

amNewYork Metro at 20: Check out some of our most memorable front pages through two decades

Over two decades, amNewYork Metro has brought you compelling stories on some of the biggest events to affect New York City.

Thinking back over the last 20 years, it is remarkable how much we’ve gone through together — the rebuilding of the World Trade Center, the worst financial crisis in generations, a ferocious superstorm named Sandy, a deadly pandemic that paralyzed New York, a volatile presidency involving the city’s most notorious businessman, three different mayors, two Super Bowl championships for the Giants, the Yankees’ 27th world title, and so much more.

The covers of amNewYork and Metro New York, later merged as amNewYork Metro, for these landmark moments in New York City have always reflected the power of the day’s biggest story, capturing not only the readers’ attention but also their imagination. Over the years, these great front pages reflect the incredible creativity and attention to detail of our teams of editors and art designers, whom we salute for always making us look our best over the years!

Let’s take a look at some of the most memorable covers from amNewYork Metro over the past two decades.

The first covers

amNewYork was the first free daily newspaper to hit the streets on Oct. 10, 2003 — with the goal of giving New Yorkers all the news they need to know about their city in as much time as it takes to get them to work in the morning. The big stories featured the indictment of Brooklyn Assembly Member Clarence Norman on grand larceny charges, and city officials fuming over idling buses around town. In the upper right-hand corner, a teaser featuring Yankees hurler Andy Pettitte noted the Bombers 6-2 win over the Boston Red Sox in the American League Championship Series. The Yankees would go on to win the series in seven games thanks to a walk-off home run in Game 7 by Aaron Boone, who two decades later manages the team.

Six months later, the first issues of Metro New York made it to the streets, and kicked off a rivalry between the two papers that would go on for the next 16 years. The lead story in the May 5, 2004 paper focused on security efforts for the Republican National Convention later that summer in New York. Metro also had welcoming op-ed from then-Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who at that point was still in his first term in office.

A new day at amNewYork (and, later, Metro)

The post-pandemic new york.

In November 2021, New Yorkers elected then-Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams as the city’s new mayor. He would succeed the outgoing Bill de Blasio the following January, with the tasks of leading the city’s pandemic recovery and battling a major uptick in crime.

Why Did the Hotel Chain Hire a Marine Biologist?

Megan Morikawa of the Iberostar Group is applying science — and scale — to eliminate food waste, save coral and collaborate across the travel industry to cut carbon.

Carbon neutrality, zero waste and serving seafood solely from responsible suppliers: Many boutique eco-tourism destinations — particularly those catering to small numbers of luxury travelers — can reach or come close to sustainability goals such as these, but what about a decades-old resort company operating 97 properties across 14 countries?

As the global director of sustainability at Iberostar Group , Megan Morikawa is striving to prove that large travel operators can be better stewards of the planet. The Stanford-educated marine biologist is applying science to achieve these goals and more, such as helping the privately held hospitality company build coral research labs and use A.I.-powered trash cans to reduce kitchen waste.

In a nearly two-hour video conversation, Dr. Morikawa talked about her career pivot from academia to hospitality, the importance of collaboration across the travel industry and her new role for the Travel Foundation , a nonprofit providing destinations with sustainable-tourism research, strategy and training.

This conversation has been edited and condensed for clarity.

What led you to research coral reef die-offs for your doctorate?

Basically, the theme of my technical background is how we can use the technology of genetics and genomics to better conserve species on the planet.

My Ph.D. adviser, Stephen Palumbi, was focused on genetics, genomics and coral reefs. His whole proposition was: Could we find the world’s toughest corals, learn what makes them tough and use that to help predict winners and losers of climate change, so that managers could better understand how to restore reefs?

How did you end up in travel?

It was at the end of my Ph.D. when at Stanford I met Gloria Fluxá Thienemann, Iberostar’s vice chairman and chief sustainability officer. My adviser and I were scratching our heads asking, “What does a Spanish hotel owner have in terms of interest in our research?”

Our initial conversation showed that she was genuinely interested in the science. Gloria’s passion for the science of the oceans has facilitated so much of what we now do.

I moved from academia to Iberostar because really passionate people want to use the private sector to scale solutions for critical ecosystems, like coral reefs.

Iberostar now has three coral labs and seven underwater nurseries in three countries. How did that start?

The first year that I joined, we constructed our first coral lab at a property in the Dominican Republic. It would have taken us four or five years if we were doing this from an academic standpoint.

The coral lab is three things in one. It’s an outreach center, where guests and others can pop in and stumble upon seeing — for many of them — coral for the first time. But it’s also a genetic bank: Corals in the Caribbean are experiencing a lot of challenges, like widespread disease and bleaching events. Having a genetic bank is an important asset saving for genetic diversity. Our third objective is to recreate coral bleaching: The lab has a sophisticated system that recreates heating waves with small tanks so that we can stress individual corals, and predict winners and losers, just like I did for my Ph.D.

Iberostar has taken hotels off fossil fuels, partnered to create a waste-management system in Brazil and more. How is it making these changes?

The question is always around how you scale sustainability. Scaling is an interesting combination of being able to speak in a high-level strategy voice about say, business objectives, and then being able to translate that down to the actual actions that a hotel director needs to take.

Because it’s not just our executive leadership. From our operations to our procurement team to our head of human resources, we all recognize the risk climate change poses to our business. So the passion and enthusiasm to do something about it is there and was not what needed to be sparked.

Tell me about these trash cans.

We do a lot of work on our food waste — we serve around 45 million meals a year.

With our partnership with Winnow , an A.I. waste management company, we have placed devices in our kitchens that have an A.I.-assisted camera and scale that allows for chefs to spend the first month or so training the model on what the camera is seeing. Through time, the system automatically registers what is being wasted.

With that data, we can get feedback on those economic losses as well as carbon footprint losses. And finally, what is it that we are throwing away? And how can that help us to inform how we produce food the next day?

What are the top challenges to Iberostar’s sustainability goals?

Travel is made up of a bunch of different businesses in different sectors. And how that all joins together can be really difficult to understand — particularly in the role we all play in protecting natural resources. Because we are a beachfront resort company, when we see erosion and other impacts on those areas, it’s really clear and evident. But one of our excursion providers might not be thinking about it as much in their day-to-day.

As a scientist, I recognize that a lot of discovery of how to do things that have never been done before requires quick absorption of new materials and being able to speak multiple languages. And by that, I don’t mean linguistic languages; I mean speaking from a research standpoint to a government standpoint to a business standpoint. A lot of the barrier to collaboration was not being able to communicate effectively with each other.

Are any of these changes something a guest would see?

We somewhat boldly said we are demonstrating that a luxury hospitality experience does not require single-use plastics. What I like to say is that when you see a room that is free of single-use plastics, it’s kind of hard to unsee it. A lot of times it can be thought of — initially — as needing to remove items. But I think our operations team thought critically about ways to elegantly offer an experience that was a better product. So that’s probably the most tangible way that we can see that.

What is the purpose of the Travel Foundation?

The Travel Foundation is a U.K.-based NGO, providing research, strategy and support in their aim for tourism to provide the greatest benefits for every destination around the world, so local communities and environments can thrive. The role I’ve taken is chair of the board of trustees.

A recent research piece they published was looking at how to model pathways to reach net zero emissions, looking at aviation, transport and hotels. The Travel Foundation also supports destinations in producing management plans. For Lake Tahoe, in California, they’ve been doing great work to help the area think through its new boom in tourism and how residents can have a voice.

When it comes to changing human impact on the environment, what are steps that travelers could take?

One of the best things that tourists can do is to inject mindfulness into their decisions. I know it sounds really silly, but the more meaning that we draw from the choices that we make in our consumption, the more likely we’re able to maximize the value that comes from it and make them memorable experiences.
