ನಮಸ್ತೆ ಆತ್ಮೀಯ ಗೆಳೆಯರೆ, ನಾವಿಂದು ಚರ್ಚಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ವಿಷಯ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸುದೀರ್ಘವಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿಸಲಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಮಕ್ಕಳ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆ ಏಕೆ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ, ಯಾವಾಗ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಹೇಗೆ ಆಚರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ ಅದರ ಮಹತ್ವ, ಮಕ್ಕಳ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆ ದಿನದ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳೇನೂ ಎನ್ನುವ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಈ ಪ್ರಬಂಧದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿವರಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಹಾಗಾಗಿ ಈ ಪ್ರಬಂಧವನ್ನು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಓದಿ.

ಮಕ್ಕಳ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯು ಚಿಕ್ಕ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಮಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ದಿನವನ್ನು ಭಾರತ ದೇಶದ ಮೊದಲ ಪ್ರಧಾನಿ ಪಂಡಿತ್ ಜವಾಹರಲಾಲ್ ನೆಹರು ಸ್ಮರರ್ಣಾತದ ದಿನ ಅಥವಾ ಜನ್ಮದಿನದ ನೆನಪಿಗಾಗಿ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ನವೆಂಬರ್ 14 ರಂದು ಮಕ್ಕಳ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ನೆಹರುರವರಿಗೆ ಮಕ್ಕಳೆಂದರೆ ಬಹಳ ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಅದೇ ಕಾರಣಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನೆಹರು ಜನ್ಮದಿನವನ್ನು ಮಕ್ಕಳ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆ ಎಂದು ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ದಿನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಹಕ್ಕು ಮತ್ತು ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಮೂಡಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಾಲಾಕಾರ್ಮಿಕ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮಕ್ಕಳ ದೌರ್ಜನ್ಯ ಇನ್ನು ನೆಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಮಕ್ಕಳ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆ ಅದನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕಂಡಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

ಪಂಡಿತ್ ಜವಾಹರಲಾಲ್ ನೆಹರು ಬಗ್ಗೆ:

ನವೆಂಬರ್ 14, 1889ರಂದು ಅಲಹಾಬಾದ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಜವಾಹರ ಲಾಲ್‌ ನೆಹರು ಜನಿಸಿದರು. ತಂದೆ ಶ್ರೀ ಮೋತಿಲಾಲ್ ನೆಹರು, ತಾಯಿ ಸ್ವರೂಪ್ ರಾಣಿ. ಖಾಸಗಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರಿಂದ ಅವರು ಆರಂಭಿಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣವನ್ನುಮನೆಯಲ್ಲೇ ಪಡೆದರು. 15 ನೆ ವಯಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿಇಂಗ್ಲೆಂಡಿಗೆ ತೆರಳಿದರು. ನಂತರ ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಹ್ಯಾರೊಗೆ ತೆರಳಿ ಕೇಂಬ್ರಿಡ್ಜ್ ವಿಶ್ವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯ ಸೇರಿದರು. ನೈಸರ್ಗಿಕ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಪದವಿ ಪಡೆದರು. 1912ರಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತಕ್ಕೆ ಮರಳಿ ರಾಜಕೀಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಿದರು. ಬ್ರಿಟೀಷ್‌ ಆಳ್ವಿಕೆಗೆ ಒಳಗಾಗಿದ್ದ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಗಳ ಹೋರಾಟಗಳ ಕುರಿತು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಗಲೇ ಅವರು ಆಸಕ್ತಿ ಬೆಳೆಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು. ಅನಿವಾರ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಭಾರತದ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ಸಂಗ್ರಾಮಕ್ಕೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕರೆತರಲಾಯಿತು..

1916ರಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಮೊದಲ ಬಾರಿಗೆ ಮಹಾತ್ಮಾ ಗಾಂಧಿಯವರನ್ನು ಭೇಟಿಯಾಗಿ ಅವರಿಂದ ಅತೀವ ಸ್ಪೂರ್ತಿಗೊಳಗಾದರು. ಪ್ರತಾಪಗರ್ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ 1920ರಲ್ಲಿ ಮೊದಲ ಕಿಸಾನ್ ಯಾತ್ರೆಯನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸದರು. 1920-1922ರ ಅಸಹಕಾರ ಚಳುವಳಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಬಂಧಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

ನಂತರ ಪಂಡಿತ್ ಜವಾಹರಲಾಲ್ ನೆಹರು ಅಖಿಲ ಭಾರತ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಸಮಿತಿಯ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಯಾದರು. 1926ರಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಬೆಲ್ಜಿಯಮ್, ಜರ್ಮನಿ ಮುಂತಾದ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಗಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಯಾಣ ಬೆಳೆಸಿದರು. ಇಂಡಿಯನ್ ನಾಷನಲ್ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಅಧಿಕೃತ ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಯಾಗಿ ಬ್ರುಸೆಲ್ಸ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದರು. ಸೈಮನ್ ಕಮಿಷನ್ನ ವಿರುದ್ಧ 1928ರಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋರಾಟದಲ್ಲಿ ನೇತೃತ್ವ ವಹಿಸಿ ಲಕ್ನೋದಲ್ಲಿ ಲಾಠಿ ಚಾರ್ಜ್ಗೆ ಒಳಗಾದರು. ಅದೇ ವರ್ಷ ಭಾರತವನ್ನು ಬ್ರಿಟಿಷರಿಂದ ಬೇರ್ಪಡಿಸುವ ಗುರಿ ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದ ‘ ಇಂಡಿಪೆಂಡೆನ್ಸ್ ಫಾರ್ ಇಂಡಿಯಾ ಲೀಗ್ ’ನ್ನು ನೆಹರು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಅದರ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಯಾದರು. ಇವರು ಭಾರತದ ದೇಶದ ಮೊದಲ ಪ್ರಧಾನಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದರು.

ಮಕ್ಕಳ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆ ಮಹತ್ವ:

ನೆಹರೂ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ತುಂಬ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದರು ಮತ್ತು ಇಂದಿನ ಮಕ್ಕಳೇ ನಾಳಿನ ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರದ ಭವಿಷ್ಯದ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಕರ್ತರು ಎಂದು ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರದ ಭವಿಷ್ಯವನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕಾದರೆ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಭವಿಷ್ಯವನ್ನು ಉತ್ತಮ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸುವುದು ನಮ್ಮ ನಿಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರ ಕರ್ತವ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ. ನೆಹರುಗೆ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಮೇಲಿದ್ದ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಭೂಮಿ ಅವರ ಜನ್ಮದಿನವನ್ನು ಮಕ್ಕಳ ದಿನವೆಂದು ನೆನಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿದರು. ಮಕ್ಕಳ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಉದ್ದೇಶ ಭಾರತದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ನಾಗರಿಕರಿಗೆ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ, ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಹಕ್ಕುಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡುವ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಅರಿವು ಮೂಡಿಸುವುದು. ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಸರಿಯಾದ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳೆಸುವುದು ಮತ್ತು ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಭವಿಷ್ಯವನ್ನು ಸುಸಂಘಟಿತ ಮತ್ತು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರವನ್ನು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಪಡಿಸುವುದು. ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರದ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿದೆ, ನಮ್ಮ ಮಕ್ಕಳೆ ದೇಶದ ಸಂಪತ್ತು. ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಅವರ ಭವಿಷ್ಯವನ್ನು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಪಡಿಸಿ.

ಮಕ್ಕಳ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಹಲವಾರು ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಶಾಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬಹಳ ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ದಿನವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಆನಂದಿಸಲು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಗಳನ್ನುಕೂಡ ನಡೆಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಆ ದಿನ ಪಂಡಿತ್ ಜವಾಹರಲಾಲ್ ನೆಹರು ಅವರ ಭಾವ ಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಶ್ರದ್ದಾಂಜಲಿ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಮಕ್ಕಳ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯು ಮಕ್ಕಳೀಗಾಗಿಯೆ ಮೀಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಫೋರ್ಸ್ ಲೇಬರ್ ಆಕ್ಟ್ ಅಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಾಲಕಾರ್ಮಿಕತೆಯಿಂದ ಮುಕ್ತಗೊಳಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಇನ್ನು ಬಾಲಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರ ಮೇಲೆ ದೌರ್ಜನ್ಯ ದಬ್ಬಾಳಿಕೆ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಲೆ ಇದೆ. ಈ ಆಕ್ಟಗೆ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಗುರುತನ್ನು ನೀಡಲು ನಾವು ಇನ್ನೂ ವಿಫಲರಾಗಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಭವಿಷ್ಯ ಉಳಿಸುವುದು ಕೇವಲ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲ ಅದು ಇಲ್ಲರ ಕರ್ತವ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ.

ಮಕ್ಕಳ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯಂದು ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಬಹಳ ಸಂತೋಷ. ಸಂಬ್ರಮದಿಂದ ಅವರೆಲ್ಲಾ ಬಂದು ಶಾಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಆ ದಿನ ನಡೆಯವು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಬಿಂದುಗಳಾಗಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಅವರೆ ಆ ದಿನದ ಮೆರುಗು, ಮತ್ತು ಅವರಿಗಾಗಿ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ಫರ್ಧೆಗಳನ್ನು ನೆಡೆಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಸ್ಫರ್ಧೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಜೆತರಾದವರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ವಿತರಿಸಿ ಗೌರವಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆಲ್ಲಾಆ ದಿನ ಸಿಹಿ ಹಂಚಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಿಹಿ ತಿಂದು ಸಂಭ್ರಮಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ಹಕ್ಕುಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಭಾಷಣ ಮಾಡಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಸಭೆಗೆ ಗಣ್ಯ ವಕ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಆಹ್ವನಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಅಂಧಕಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಅವರ ಏಳಿಗೆಗಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸಬೇಕು

ಭಾರತದ ಮೊದಲ ಪ್ರಧಾನಿ ಪಂಡಿತ್ ಜವಾಹರಲಾಲ್ ನೆಹರು ಅವರ ಜನ್ಮದಿನದಂದು ಪ್ರತಿ ವರ್ಷ ನವೆಂಬರ್ 14 ರಂದು ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ದಿನವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ . ಪಂಡಿತ್ ನೆಹರು ಅವರು ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಹಕ್ಕುಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಪ್ರತಿಪಾದಿಸಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಅವರನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಿಂದ “ಚಾಚಾ ನೆಹರು” ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಪಂಡಿತ್ ನೆಹರೂ ಅವರ ನಿಧನದ ಮೊದಲು, ವಿಶ್ವಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯು ಗೊತ್ತುಪಡಿಸಿದ ದಿನಾಂಕವಾದ ನವೆಂಬರ್ 20 ರಂದು ಭಾರತವು ಮಕ್ಕಳ ದಿನವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸುತ್ತಿತ್ತು . 1964 ರಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಹರೂ ಅವರ ಮರಣದ ನಂತರ ಅವರ ಜನ್ಮದಿನವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲು ನಿರ್ಣಯವನ್ನು ಅಂಗೀಕರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು, ನವೆಂಬರ್ 14 ಅನ್ನು ಮಕ್ಕಳ ದಿನವಾಗಿ ಆಚರಿಸಲು ಮತ್ತು ಅವರನ್ನು ಗೌರವಿಸಲು ಮತ್ತು ಮಕ್ಕಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ಜನಪ್ರಿಯತೆಯನ್ನು ಗೌರವಿಸಲು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

ಭಾರತದ ಮೊದಲ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಮಂತ್ರಿ ಪಂಡಿತ್ ಜವಾಹರ್ ಲಾಲ್ ರವರ ಜನ್ಮ ದಿನದ ಪ್ರಯುಕ್ತ ನವೆಂಬರ್ 14 ರಂದು ಮಕ್ಕಳ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಈ ದಿನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ಹಕ್ಕುಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಅರಿವು ಮೂಡಿಸುವ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆಚರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.ಸರಿಯಾದ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳೆಯುವುದು ಅವರ ಹಕ್ಕು ಮತ್ತು ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಭವಿಷ್ಯವನ್ನು ಅವಲಂಬಿಸಿ ಸುಸಂಘಟಿತ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀಮಂತ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರವನ್ನು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಪಡಿಸಬಹುದು.

ನಮಗೆ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯ ಅವಶ್ಯಕತೆಯಿದೆ, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಶಾಲೆಗಳು ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲದೆ ಸಮಾಜದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಮಗುವೂ ಈ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಅಸ್ತಿತ್ವವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಗುರುತಿಸಬಹುದು. ಅವರು ಈ ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸದ್ಗುಣಶೀಲ ಜೀವನವನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಲು ಸಮಾನತೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಈ ದಿನದ ಆಚರಣೆಯ ಆಧಾರವಾಗಿರುವ ಪ್ರೇರಣೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕಡಿಮೆ ಮಾಡುವುದು ಅಸಾಧ್ಯ. ಈ ದಿನದ ಪ್ರಾಮುಖ್ಯತೆಗೆ ಒಂದು ಮುಖ್ಯ ಕಾರಣವೆಂದರೆ ನಮ್ಮ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರದ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಆಗಾಗ್ಗೆ ಕಡಿಮೆ ಹಣಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ದೀರ್ಘ ಗಂಟೆಗಳವರೆಗೆ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಸಮಕಾಲೀನ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶವಿಲ್ಲದ ಕಾರಣ ಅವರು ಇನ್ನೂ ಹಿಂದುಳಿದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ಸುಧಾರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು, ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರೂ ತಮ್ಮ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ತಿಳಿದಿದ್ದರೆ ಅದು ಕಾರ್ಯಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.

ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಭಾವನೆ ಅರಿತು ಮಕ್ಕಳ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳು, ಸಮಾರಂಭಗಳಿಗೆ ಸೀಮಿತಗೊಳಿಸದೆ ಬದುಕಿನ ಅಂಧಕಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ನಲುಗುತ್ತಿರುವ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಏನಾದರೂ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು. ನಮಗೆ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿದೆ, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಶಾಲೆಗಳು ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲದೆ ಸಮಾಜದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಮಗುವೂ ಈ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಅಸ್ತಿತ್ವವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಗುರುತಿಸಬಹುದು.

ಮಕ್ಕಳ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯು ಮಕ್ಕಳು ತಮ್ಮ ಬಾಲ್ಯವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲು ಮಾತ್ರ ಉದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿರುವ ದಿನವೆಂದು ತೋರುತ್ತದೆ ಆದರೆ ವಾಸ್ತವದಲ್ಲಿ, ಸಮಾಜದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಮೌಲ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಮೌಲ್ಯದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಜನರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಲು ಆಚರಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರೂ ಒಂದು ಉಪಕ್ರಮವಾಗಿದೆ. ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಹಕ್ಕುಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಜನರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಲು ಮತ್ತು ಮಕ್ಕಳು ತಮ್ಮ ಜೀವನದ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲೂ ಆ ಹಕ್ಕುಗಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಖಚಿತಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಇದನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಆಗ ಮಾತ್ರ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರವು ಸಮಗ್ರವಾಗಿ ಬೆಳೆಯಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.

ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿ ವರ್ಷ ನವೆಂಬರ್ 14ರಂದು ಮಕ್ಕಳ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಇದು ಭಾರತದ ಮೊದಲ ಪ್ರಧಾನಿ ಪಂಡಿತ್ ಜವಾಹರಲಾಲ್ ನೆಹರು ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ ದಿನ. ಆದರೆ ಈ ದಿನವನ್ನು ಅವರು ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗಾಗಿಯೇ ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದು, ಅವರ ಜನ್ಮದಿನವನ್ನು ಮಕ್ಕಳ ದಿನವನ್ನಾಗಿ ಆಚರಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಬರಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಈ ದಿನದಂದು ಶಾಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗಾಗಿ ವೇಷಭೂಷಣ, ಭಾಷಣ, ಪ್ರಬಂಧ, ಚಿತ್ರಕಲೆ, ಗಾಯನ, ನೃತ್ಯ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ವಿವಿಧ ವಿಶೇಷ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಗಳನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ವಿಜೇತ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಬಹುಮಾನಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ನಾವಿಲ್ಲಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಸರಳ ಭಾಷಣವೊಂದನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಇದರ ಸದುಪಯೋಗ ಪಡೆಯಬಹುದು.

"ವೇದಿಕೆಯ ಮೇಲಿರುವ ಗಣ್ಯರೇ, ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರೇ, ಬೋಧಕೇತರ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ವರ್ಗದವರೇ ಹಾಗೂ ನನ್ನ ಆತ್ಮೀಯ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರೇ. ನಿಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯ ಶುಭಾಶಯಗಳು..

ಇಂದು ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರ ಭಾರತದ ಮೊದಲ ಪ್ರಧಾನಿ ಪಂಡಿತ್ ಜವಾಹರಲಾಲ್ ನೆಹರು ಅವರ 133ನೇ ಜನ್ಮದಿನ. ಇವರಿಗೆ ಮಕ್ಕಳೆಂದರೆ ತುಂಬಾ ಪ್ರೀತಿ. ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಕೂಡ ಇವರನ್ನು ಚಾಚಾ ನೆಹರೂ ಎಂದು ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಿಂದ ಕರೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ನೆಹರೂ ಅವರು 1889ರ ನವೆಂಬರ್‌ 14ರಂದು ಉತ್ತರ ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಅಲಹಾಬಾದ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಜನಿಸಿದರು.

ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಅಪಾರವಾದ ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಮತ್ತು ವಾತ್ಸಲ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದ ನೆಹರೂ ಅವರು ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರದ ನಿಜವಾದ ಶಕ್ತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮಾಜದ ಅಡಿಪಾಯ ಎಂದು ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಭಾರತದ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಅಗತ್ಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಕೊಡಿಸಬೇಕೆಂಬುದು ಅವರ ಧ್ಯೇಯವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಮೇಲಿನ ಪ್ರೀತಿಗೆ ಇವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಜನ್ಮದಿನವನ್ನು ಮಕ್ಕಳ ದಿನವಾಗಿ ಆಚರಿಸಲು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದರು. ಅಂದಿನಿಂದಲೂ ಜವಾಹರಲಾಲ್ ನೆಹರು ಅವರ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ ದಿನವನ್ನು ಮಕ್ಕಳ ದಿನವನ್ನಾಗಿ ಆಚರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಬರಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ನೆಹರೂ ಅವರು ಭಾರತದ ಪ್ರಧಾನಿ ಆಗುವ ಮುನ್ನ ಭಾರತವನ್ನು ಬ್ರಿಟಿಷರಿಂದ ಮುಕ್ತಗೊಳಿಸುವ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ಹೋರಾಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಪಾತ್ರ ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಇವರ ನಾಯಕತ್ವದ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯವನ್ನು ಗಮನದಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡು 1947 ರಲ್ಲಿ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ಬಂದ ನಂತರ ಇವರನ್ನು ಭಾರತದ ಪ್ರಧಾನಿಯಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು.

ಇಂದಿನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ನಾಳಿನ ಭಾರತವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟುತ್ತಾರೆ, ನಾವು ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಎಷ್ಟು ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ನೋಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇವೆಯೋ ಅಷ್ಟು ಉತ್ತಮ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ಚಾಚಾ ನೆಹರೂ ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದ ಹಕ್ಕಿನ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ನಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರ ಹೊಣೆಯಗಿದೆ. ಬಾಲಕಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಪದ್ಧತಿಯಿಂದ ಅವರನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವುದು, ಅವರಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತಮ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಕೊಡಿಸುವುದು, ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಮೇಲಿನ ದೌರ್ಜನ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ತಡೆಯುವುದು, ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವರ್ಗದ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಸಮಾನ ಅವಕಾಶ ಕಲ್ಪಿಸುವುದು ಎಲ್ಲರ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯಾಗಿದೆ.

'Tomorrow is Yours', ಅಂದರೆ 'ನಾಳೆ ನಿಮ್ಮದು' ಎಂದು ನೆಹರೂ ಅವರು ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಹೌದು ನಾಳೆ ನಮ್ಮದೇ. ಭವಿಷ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಏನಾದರೂ ಸಾಧಿಸಿ ಈ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳೋಣ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾ ನನ್ನ ಈ ಪುಟ್ಟ ಭಾಷಣ ಮುಗಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಅವಕಾಶಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳು.."

ಅನೇಕರು ಹಿಂಜರಿದರು. ಕಾರಣ ಭಾರತ ದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ ಗಳನ್ನು ಬ್ರಿಟಿಷರು ಕದ್ದೊಯ್ದಿದ್ದರು.

ದೇಶವು ಅನಕ್ಷರತೆ, ಬಡತನ, ನಿರುದ್ಯೋಗ ಮುಂತಾದ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿತ್ತು. ಇಂತಹ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಹರೂರವರು ದಿಟ್ಟತನ ದಿಂದ ಪ್ರಧಾನಿ ಪೀಠ ಏರಿ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ನಿವಾರಿಸಲು ಶ್ರಮಿಸಿದರು.

ಅಲಿಪ್ತ ನೀತಿಯ ನೇತಾರ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ ನೆಹರೂರವರನ್ನು ಅವರು ಶಾಂತಿಯ ದೂತರು ಸಹ ಹೌದು.

ಪಂಚಶೀಲ ತತ್ವ ಗಳನ್ನು ಜಾರಿಗೆ ತಂದರು ನೆಹರೂರವರು ಯುವಕರಿಗೆ ದುಡಿದು ತಿನ್ನುವಂತೆ ಉಪದೇಶಿಸಿದರು. ನಾವು ಸೋಮಾರಿ ಆದರೆ ಇಡೀ ದೇಶ ತಲೆ ತಗ್ಗಿಸಬೇಕಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ದುಡಿದು ತಿನ್ನೋಣ ಎನ್ನುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.

ನೆಹರು ಅವರು ಉತ್ತಮ ವಾಗ್ಮಿಗಳು, ಭಾಷಣಕಾರರು, ಲೇಖಕರು ಆಗಿದ್ದರು. ಡಿಸ್ಕವರಿ ಆಫ್ ಇಂಡಿಯ ಯೆಟ್ ಆಟೋ ಬಯಾಗ್ರಫಿ ಗ್ಲಿಂಪ್ಸಸ್ ಆಫ್ ವರ್ಲ್ಡ್ ಹಿಸ್ಟ್ರಿ ಲೆಟರ್ಸ್ ಟು ಇಂದಿರಾ ಎಂಬ ಗ್ರಂಥ ಗಳನ್ನು ಬರೆದರು. 1955 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತ ರತ್ನ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಪಡೆದರು.
