God needed the service of some people in the bible and he decided to choose those he would like to work with him, he called the following and they responded instantaneously.

Abraham-  was first called to leave his father’s house to the land which God not tell him the exact place before he left Haran, he obeyed and followed God still.

Moses – Moses was called and chosen by God to deliver the children of Israel from  the bondage of the land of Egypt.

Jacob the father of Joseph loved him more than other Sons and because of that his brothers punished him and sold him into slavery, in Egypt. God called him to deliver the Israelites from the commune famine that is to befall the Lord of Canaan Joseph was sold to the Egyptians. While he has with Portiphar he became one of his favorite servants because of the wisdom of God and the power to interpret dreams. He was of a good character and well trusted.

Potiphar made him the Chief of his servants and put everything he had under his control Joseph was faithful to Potiphar

One day Potiphar’s wife tempted Joseph to sleep with her in order to test his faithfulness and loyalty to his master, but Joseph refused because he had the fear of God and was falsely accused which led to his detainment in the prison. Even in the prison God was also with him. He was brought out of the prison because he was able to interpret the dreams of the porter and the baker. God gave him wisdom and understanding to interpret the dream of Pharaoh and He was made the prime minister of Egypt.

When Joseph was made the prime minister of Egypt, He was charged with responsibility of planting, harvesting and storing grains against a server famine which he had earlier predicated. The famine was to last for seven years so plenty of foods had to be planted and   stored. He was with the farmers and Labors clearing the Land and Planting crops. When the grain was harvested he supervised the building of barns in all cities of Egypt to store the grains.

When the famine came, pharaoh directed all his people to Joseph to for food because he had been given the responsibility. Joseph had enough food for all the people because he had done his work faithfully and efficiently none of the food was wasted and each family was given enough food to feed itself. With proper management there was even surplus grain for people from other counties to buy from Egypt.

Holiday Assignment

Dear Esteemed Parents,

The lord in the midst of His people (UDSS parents, students and staff) is indeed faithful. By His mercy and grace, the first term had been successful, may His  great name be praised forever.

We also appreciate our parents for the supports they have been giving by fulfilling every financial obligation and others towards their wards. The

Lord will continue to rain His blessings upon you. Your efforts over them shall be greatly rewarded in the name of Jesus.

*RESUMPTION*

The school re-opens on Monday 9th January 2023 for the 2nd term 2022/2023 academic session. Boarding students are to resume on Sunday, 8th January 2023 between *2.00-6.00pm*.( NO Student will be allowed in the school hostel except on Sundays)

*UPWARD REVIEW*

The realities of continuous increase in prices necessitated an upward review in the Accomodation &Feeding fee, transportation fee for the 2nd term of 2022/2023 academic session. It is believed that the adjustment will make the school better in sustaining provision of quality services to your wards. Our ceaseless prayer for you is that, The Elshadai God, will continually bless and favour the works of your hands; and make you able to cater for the needs of your ward(s) in Jesus Mighty name!

*PARENTS VISITING THE SCHOOL OUTSIDE VISITING DAYS :*

We still want to stress this, parents should please desist from visiting

the school outside official days.

*REPLACEMENT OF WORN OUT / OUTGROWN WEARS*

Knowing that children grow rapidly, some students may have outgrown their uniforms and wears. Our observation in the

school is that the students with worn out or outgrown wears, take or extort others of theirs’. It was also observed that

some students’ trousers, pinafores and skirts are short and did not befit their status, therefore,

they need to be replaced. Parents should therefore purchase new wears for their ward(s) regardless of the class. Those without good wears will not qualify for registration upon resumption

*CONTRABAND ITEMS*

Parents are advised to join hands with the school to prevent the influx of contraband items into the school. Any student

caught with any unapproved item will be fined ₦25,000 .

*DISCIPLINE*

All parents are to please use the holiday period as an opportunity to charge and admonish their wards to be of best behaviour when they resume school.

Any student caught flouting school rules and regulations will be sanctioned according to the School Rules and

Regulation Handbook.

*RESPECT FOR SCHOOL PROPERTY(REMINDER)*

Parents are to advise their wards to handle the school’s properties with caution/care. Any student who damages any of the school’s properties will be surcharged  In addition, parents should please admonish their wards to desist from any act of vandalism as any student caught will be sanctioned accordingly.

*MONITORING YOUR WARD AT HOME*

As a reminder, parents are charged to ensure their wards are adequately monitored at home.Opportunities for unwholesome behavior are higher when children are not adequately monitored. Parents should therefore make proper arrangements for their wards’ supervision all through the holidays. Parents who provide smart phones for their wards

(this is not advised), should ensure they monitor their conversations and their friends.

*HAIR STYLE FOR STUDENTS*

The only approved hairstyle for students is low cut. Any other style is prohibited.

*CASH PAYMENT AND PAYMENT THROUGH ANY SCHOOL STAFF*

Our esteemed parents should please note that no cash collection or cash payment of any fee is permitted through any staff or person. All payments should be made directly to the school designated accounts.

The following items will be checked at the gate on resumption day for boarding students

* School fees receipts/tellers

* School uniforms (bedspread inclusive)

* Notebooks/Textbooks

* Cutleries and toiletries

* Hostel materials.

* Bucket(s) etc

Our best wishes to all parents and students all through the holiday season.

Merry Christmas and Prosperous New Year
