My Ambition Essay

My Ambition

The ambition of any person’s life usually depends on their choice and interests. I aspire to be a great dancer . I have always had the knack for dancing from an early age. My parents always encouraged me to pursue my passion. Like most of the parents, they never discouraged me because it is not the most sought after career.

Subsequently, I wish to become a good dancer. I do not want the fame of being a dancer; rather I want the acclaim of being a good dancer. As my parents motivated me to pursue my dream, they enrolled me in dance classes. It helped me grow a lot as a dancer and also enhance my skills.

Most importantly, I wish to be a dance because I want to remove the stigma surrounding this career path. I want to set an example that you can do well in life if you’re not a doctor or engineer. Especially in India, where these two ambitions are considered the most valid.

I believe in the power of dance, and how it conveys the message without words. Dance is the language of the soul, and it makes me feel alive when I indulge in it.

Why I Chose this Ambition?

My Goal In Life Essay: 500 Words

My Goal In Life Essay_ 500 Words

An aim in life or a goal in life is essential for us to have meaning about who we are and what we stand for. There is a goal set in everyone’s life that is determined by aspirations and individual imaginations. We set a deadline that pushes us to finish our goal within that set time limit. I, like all the people in the world, have a goal that I want to archive.

What Is Goal In Life

We grow up surrounded by people, community, and organisations that teach us little by little, helping us form our life’s goal

Influenced by their surrounding, people aspire to become a doctor, an engineer, a teacher, a businessman, a firefighter, and more. People have their personal, spiritual, social and professional reasons for setting a goal in life.

My Goal In Life: To Be A Doctor

I was brought up in a village, and I have seen the lack of enough doctors and affordable treatment. That’s why I decided to become a doctor and serve the people in my locality.

A doctor is someone who cures people of different diseases, wounds, and injuries. They diagnose the patients and provide them with proper medications, and cure them. Doctors also perform surgery if needed. Aside from all that, doctors also provide hope to their patients and their families.

Why Do I Want To Be A Doctor

Doctors make it their profession to be responsible for high life expectancy and ensure the well-being of society. Thanks to improved medical experimentation, many patients can also cure diseases such as cancer. These patients owe their life to the doctors who treated them with all their patience and care. Their skills and dedication result in the well-being of the many people’s lives.

In addition to the huge responsibility doctors possess, it is also a risky job. They have to closely treat patients with dangerous infections and viruses which expose them to those infections, making their lives vulnerable. For example, during the covid-19 outbreak, the doctors were the frontline workers who were treating the patients from close proximity. Their humane effort make being a doctor a profession that requires lots of sacrifices.

I am a studious pupil, and I wove to keep working hard and smart to achieve my goal in life. I swore an oath to myself to study diligently until I got selected for Medical Faculty. It is necessary to keep learning continuously and minutely if you are pursuing medical studies as the goal of your life, and that is exactly what I am doing to reach my goal in time.

In conclusion, whatever our goal is, it takes the utmost level of attention, passion, and diligence for us to reach the success we dream of. Instead of being a doctor, someone might want to be an engineer, an architect, or a filmmaker. But, despite what we aspire to achieve, we need to put in honest hard work. Only with consistent and religious hard work can one reach their goal in time. As someone aspiring to be a doctor, I want to make my effort count.

He is so knowledgeable, yet he is very humble and meek.

My goal in life is inspired by the personality my teacher lives by and the effort he puts into teach us to become better students.

As a teacher, I want to help poor children with free classes and provide learning accessories to those who cannot afford them. I also want to make better human beings out of my students and pass down the morals and values my teachers taught me.

In conclusion, I want to become a teacher so that I can help children of my next generation improve their personalities, make them self-reliant, and build better human beings out of them.

Essay on Dreams and Aspirations in Life

Students are often asked to write an essay on Dreams and Aspirations in Life in their schools and colleges. And if you’re also looking for the same, we have created 100-word, 250-word, and 500-word essays on the topic.

Let’s take a look…

100 Words Essay on Dreams and Aspirations in Life

Significance of dreams and aspirations.

Dreams and aspirations are vital in life. They give us a sense of purpose and direction. They motivate us to work hard, be persistent, and overcome obstacles.

Types of Dreams and Aspirations

Dreams and aspirations can be personal, like becoming a doctor, or collective, like working for world peace. They can be short-term or long-term, realistic or idealistic.

Realizing Dreams and Aspirations

To realize our dreams and aspirations, we need to plan, set goals, and take action. We also need patience and perseverance, as success may not come immediately.

In conclusion, dreams and aspirations are essential for a fulfilling life. They inspire us to strive for greatness and make a positive impact on the world.

250 Words Essay on Dreams and Aspirations in Life

Introduction.

Dreams and aspirations are the fulcrum of human existence, shaping our lives and paving the path towards success and fulfillment. They serve as a compass, guiding us through life’s labyrinth of opportunities and challenges.

The Power of Dreams

Dreams are not mere figments of our imagination but powerful catalysts for transformation. They propel us to transcend our limitations and foster a sense of purpose. The dream of a better life can instigate revolutions, as seen in the civil rights movements, while the dream of knowledge can lead to groundbreaking scientific discoveries.

Aspirations: The Fuel of Progress

Aspirations, on the other hand, are the tangible targets we set to achieve our dreams. They are the milestones that mark our journey towards our dreams. Aspirations keep us grounded and focused, preventing us from getting lost in the vast sea of dreams. They provide the motivation necessary to overcome obstacles and persist in the face of adversity.

The Interplay of Dreams and Aspirations

The interplay between dreams and aspirations is a dynamic and ongoing process. Dreams provide the vision, and aspirations provide the roadmap. They are interdependent and mutually reinforcing. Without dreams, aspirations lack direction, and without aspirations, dreams remain unfulfilled.

In conclusion, dreams and aspirations are the driving forces of life. They embody our hopes, desires, and ambitions, forming the blueprint of our life’s journey. Embracing them can lead to a life of fulfillment and satisfaction, a life that resonates with our deepest values and ideals.

500 Words Essay on Dreams and Aspirations in Life

The essence of dreams and aspirations.

Dreams and aspirations are the invisible forces that propel us forward on our life’s journey. They are the compass that guides us, the wind that fills our sails, and the beacon that illuminates our path. Dreams are not mere figments of our imagination; they are the blueprints of our future reality. Aspirations, on the other hand, are our desires for the attainment of something higher, something grander, something more profound.

Dreams are the seeds from which our future grows. They are the visions we create in our minds of what we want our life to be. Dreams give us a sense of purpose and direction. They are the catalysts that set us on our journey towards self-fulfillment and self-actualization. Dreams are not bound by the constraints of reality; they are the realm of the infinite, where anything is possible. They are the canvas on which we paint our future, the clay from which we mold our destiny.

Aspirations, however, are the fuel that powers our journey. They are our desires for achievement, our yearning for growth, our longing for self-improvement. Aspirations are the driving force behind our actions, the motivation that pushes us to strive for excellence, the hunger that compels us to reach for the stars. Aspirations are not just about wanting to achieve something; they are about the journey towards achievement, the process of growth and self-improvement.

Dreams and aspirations are interdependent and interconnected. Dreams give birth to aspirations, and aspirations breathe life into dreams. They are two sides of the same coin, two halves of the same whole. Dreams are the destination, and aspirations are the journey. Dreams are the vision, and aspirations are the action. Dreams are the blueprint, and aspirations are the construction.

The Role of Dreams and Aspirations in Life

Dreams and aspirations play a pivotal role in our lives. They shape our thoughts, influence our actions, and define our identity. They give our lives purpose and meaning, drive and direction. They inspire us to rise above our limitations, to transcend our boundaries, to defy the odds. They push us to explore, to innovate, to create. They challenge us to grow, to evolve, to become the best version of ourselves.

In conclusion, dreams and aspirations are the lifeblood of our existence. They are the essence of our being, the core of our identity. They are the wings that enable us to soar, the roots that ground us, the fire that ignites our spirit. Without dreams and aspirations, we are like a ship adrift at sea, a bird without wings, a flame without heat. With dreams and aspirations, we are unstoppable, unbreakable, invincible. They are not just a part of life; they are life itself.

How to Write an Essay on My Aspirations

Whether it's for a scholarship, a college application or an English assignment, you may be asked to write an essay on your goals and aspirations. You can choose to write about a long-term, short-term, academic or professional goal. Whatever aspiration you select for the essay, you must explain your motivations and your game plan to realize it.

Explore this article

  • Discuss the Background
  • Highlight Your Plan

1 Brainstorm

Brainstorming helps you to narrow the topic to a single aspiration, which helps focus your essay. In the brainstorming stage, you can think about your childhood, your role models, your strengths, your weaknesses and your future plans in order to decide on the main idea of the essay. The University of Arizona suggests that you select "a topic that describes something of personal importance in your life, with which you can use vivid personal experiences as supporting details." Once you have selected the topic, compose a single thesis statement that clearly expresses the aspiration you will be discussing.

2 Discuss the Background

A crucial aspect of this type of essay is to show the reader specifically why you want to reach this goal. Ask yourself what led to this becoming your aspiration. Consider whether your aspiration was influenced by a role model, a previous success, a personal hardship or external expectations. Show the reader why this is your aspiration, and how your strengths and weaknesses play into your goal. Remember that discussing weaknesses can help you show growth and progress, but you should ultimately showcase your strengths, especially when completing essays for work or higher education.

3 Highlight Your Plan

An important aspect of an essay on your aspirations should include a plan for how to get there. Show the reader what you have done so far to attain this goal, and what steps you still need to take. Break the larger goal into smaller, more easily attainable steps to show that you have formulated an organized map toward its completion. For example, if you aspire to play with the L.A. Philharmonic, you can break down this larger goal into smaller parts that include practicing a certain number of hours every day on your instrument, studying with more advanced musicians and attending concerts. It is also important to show what steps you have already taken to achieve the goal. For example, you can say that you have already attended a music camp for classical players.

4 Conclusion

Take the analysis of your aspirations further by examining what this goal says about you as a person: your values, your strengths, your weaknesses, your work ethic and your priorities. Also, it can be helpful to conclude by explaining how the attainment of this goal will impact others and what other aspirations will follow when this one has been realized. This part of the analysis pushes you to reflect more broadly on the topic, thereby developing your essay more and giving it a sense of cohesion and completeness.

My Life Essay - 100, 200, 500 Words

My life has been a journey of growth and learning. From a young age, I have always been curious and eager to explore the world around me. I have had many experiences that have shaped who I am today. Growing up in a small town gave me a sense of community and belonging while also allowing me to develop a love for nature and the outdoors.

My education has also played a significant role in shaping my life. I have always been a dedicated student and have worked hard to achieve my goals. I have learned valuable lessons about perseverance and determination, and I have been able to apply these lessons to other areas of my life.

My life has been a journey full of ups and downs, but overall it has been a fulfilling and meaningful experience.

Routine of My Daily Life

I am a student, and I have always been passionate about learning. My daily routine starts with waking up early in the morning, and I usually wake up at 6 am. I get dressed and have my breakfast, which generally includes cereal or toast with some fruit. After breakfast, I spend some time reviewing my notes and studying for my upcoming exams.

I then head off to school, where I spend most of my day attending classes and participating in various activities. I am involved in several extracurricular activities, such as sports, debate teams and volunteering which keeps me busy and active. After school, I come back home and spend some time doing my homework and finishing any pending assignments.

Overall, my life is filled with a balance of work and play. I am always busy, but I make sure to make time for the things that matter most to me. I believe that life is about making the most of every opportunity and making the most of every moment. I am grateful for the experiences that I have had, and I am excited about the future.

Life is a journey full of ups and downs, opportunities, and challenges. It is unique for everyone and it is something that we all have to experience on our own. As a student, my life is currently focused on school and my future aspirations. There have been some important moments in my life that I will always remember, and I am always looking for ways to improve my life.

Memorable Life Experiences

One of the most important moments in my life was when I received my first acceptance letter from a university. It was a moment of pride and accomplishment, and it made me feel like all of my hard work had finally paid off. This moment inspired me to work even harder and to strive for success in all of my future endeavours.

Another important moment that made me incredibly proud was when I received the first prize in an inter-school science competition. I had been working on my project for months, conducting experiments, analysing data, and perfecting my presentation. The competition was fierce, with students from all over the city presenting their projects.

How I Felt | When my name was called as the winner, I was overwhelmed with emotion. All of my hard work and dedication had paid off, and I was being recognized for my achievements. The audience erupted into applause, and I felt a sense of pride and accomplishment that I will never forget.

Despite these positive moments, there have also been challenges that I have had to face. One of the biggest challenges I have faced is balancing my schoolwork and extracurricular activities. It can be difficult to find the time to study, participate in sports and clubs, and still have time for my friends and family. However, I have learned that time management and prioritisation are important skills to have, and I am always working to improve in these areas.

Moving forward, I have many aspirations for my future. I hope to continue my education and obtain a degree in a field that I am passionate about. I also want to travel the world and experience different cultures, and to use my education and skills to make a positive impact on others.

Volunteer Activities

I have also been involved in several volunteer activities, and I have found them to be incredibly rewarding. I have volunteered for various causes, such as helping out at homeless shelters and working with underprivileged children. It has given me a sense of purpose, and it has made me realise the importance of giving back to society.

In order to achieve my goals, I know that I need to continue to work hard and to be proactive. I want to stay focused and determined, and to never give up on my dreams. I also want to continue to learn and grow, and to always be open to new opportunities and experiences.

My life has been a journey that has been full of memorable experiences. I have had my fair share of ups and downs, but I have learned to appreciate and make the most of every moment. I am grateful for the people in my life, and I am excited to see what the future holds.

What I’ve Learned From My Students’ College Essays

The genre is often maligned for being formulaic and melodramatic, but it’s more important than you think.

An illustration of a high school student with blue hair, dreaming of what to write in their college essay.

By Nell Freudenberger

Most high school seniors approach the college essay with dread. Either their upbringing hasn’t supplied them with several hundred words of adversity, or worse, they’re afraid that packaging the genuine trauma they’ve experienced is the only way to secure their future. The college counselor at the Brooklyn high school where I’m a writing tutor advises against trauma porn. “Keep it brief , ” she says, “and show how you rose above it.”

I started volunteering in New York City schools in my 20s, before I had kids of my own. At the time, I liked hanging out with teenagers, whom I sometimes had more interesting conversations with than I did my peers. Often I worked with students who spoke English as a second language or who used slang in their writing, and at first I was hung up on grammar. Should I correct any deviation from “standard English” to appeal to some Wizard of Oz behind the curtains of a college admissions office? Or should I encourage students to write the way they speak, in pursuit of an authentic voice, that most elusive of literary qualities?

In fact, I was missing the point. One of many lessons the students have taught me is to let the story dictate the voice of the essay. A few years ago, I worked with a boy who claimed to have nothing to write about. His life had been ordinary, he said; nothing had happened to him. I asked if he wanted to try writing about a family member, his favorite school subject, a summer job? He glanced at his phone, his posture and expression suggesting that he’d rather be anywhere but in front of a computer with me. “Hobbies?” I suggested, without much hope. He gave me a shy glance. “I like to box,” he said.

I’ve had this experience with reluctant writers again and again — when a topic clicks with a student, an essay can unfurl spontaneously. Of course the primary goal of a college essay is to help its author get an education that leads to a career. Changes in testing policies and financial aid have made applying to college more confusing than ever, but essays have remained basically the same. I would argue that they’re much more than an onerous task or rote exercise, and that unlike standardized tests they are infinitely variable and sometimes beautiful. College essays also provide an opportunity to learn precision, clarity and the process of working toward the truth through multiple revisions.

When a topic clicks with a student, an essay can unfurl spontaneously.

Even if writing doesn’t end up being fundamental to their future professions, students learn to choose language carefully and to be suspicious of the first words that come to mind. Especially now, as college students shoulder so much of the country’s ethical responsibility for war with their protest movement, essay writing teaches prospective students an increasingly urgent lesson: that choosing their own words over ready-made phrases is the only reliable way to ensure they’re thinking for themselves.

Teenagers are ideal writers for several reasons. They’re usually free of preconceptions about writing, and they tend not to use self-consciously ‘‘literary’’ language. They’re allergic to hypocrisy and are generally unfiltered: They overshare, ask personal questions and call you out for microaggressions as well as less egregious (but still mortifying) verbal errors, such as referring to weed as ‘‘pot.’’ Most important, they have yet to put down their best stories in a finished form.

I can imagine an essay taking a risk and distinguishing itself formally — a poem or a one-act play — but most kids use a more straightforward model: a hook followed by a narrative built around “small moments” that lead to a concluding lesson or aspiration for the future. I never get tired of working with students on these essays because each one is different, and the short, rigid form sometimes makes an emotional story even more powerful. Before I read Javier Zamora’s wrenching “Solito,” I worked with a student who had been transported by a coyote into the U.S. and was reunited with his mother in the parking lot of a big-box store. I don’t remember whether this essay focused on specific skills or coping mechanisms that he gained from his ordeal. I remember only the bliss of the parent-and-child reunion in that uninspiring setting. If I were making a case to an admissions officer, I would suggest that simply being able to convey that experience demonstrates the kind of resilience that any college should admire.

The essays that have stayed with me over the years don’t follow a pattern. There are some narratives on very predictable topics — living up to the expectations of immigrant parents, or suffering from depression in 2020 — that are moving because of the attention with which the student describes the experience. One girl determined to become an engineer while watching her father build furniture from scraps after work; a boy, grieving for his mother during lockdown, began taking pictures of the sky.

If, as Lorrie Moore said, “a short story is a love affair; a novel is a marriage,” what is a college essay? Every once in a while I sit down next to a student and start reading, and I have to suppress my excitement, because there on the Google Doc in front of me is a real writer’s voice. One of the first students I ever worked with wrote about falling in love with another girl in dance class, the absolute magic of watching her move and the terror in the conflict between her feelings and the instruction of her religious middle school. She made me think that college essays are less like love than limerence: one-sided, obsessive, idiosyncratic but profound, the first draft of the most personal story their writers will ever tell.

Nell Freudenberger’s novel “The Limits” was published by Knopf last month. She volunteers through the PEN America Writers in the Schools program.
