‘Dabangg 3’ Review: A Hero From the School of Knock ’em Hard

In this Bollywood action flick, Salman Khan is a one-man wrecking crew. When not knocking heads, he dances.

The Bollywood movie “Dabangg 3” opens with several bangs: Wedding robbers are doing what wedding robbers do — collecting guests’ gold chunks and cash — when the police arrive on the scene. The officers bumble until their leader, our hero, Inspector Chulbul Pandey, blasts his way onto the scene. He comes flying through a wall, riding what looks to be a giant drill (or is it a modest rocket?) and proceeds to punch, karate chop, kick, toss in the air, and generally drub the miscreants in a way that would be purely cartoonish if not for a dose of mild sadism. (Crotch, meet knife.)

Wasting no time on narrative niceties, the movie cuts right from the fight to a song-and-dance number. There, Chulbul, played with ridiculous, winking confidence by Salman Khan, assures us of what we already know: “I am fearless … fearless … fearless.”

Khan has a gym-toned physique that works better in brawls than in dances, where all those muscles look constricting. He gets by with a kind of minimalist semaphoring that distills the moves into gestures and poses . A close-up of his rear, as the weight shifts from cheek to cheek, gives a decent sense of his charm onslaught: It’s dopey, broad, ripe with self-assurance.

And “Dabangg 3” is all about Khan. Not only does he play a one-man army, a romantic hero and a family man, but he is also credited with the story, such as it is, and had a hand in the screenplay, such as it is.

“Such as it is” because the movie, the third in a string of box office successes, can barely be bothered to tell a story. There are narrative scenes, of course, but they function mostly as connective tissue for the brawls, showdowns and dances. Instead of plot, this movie has characters or, more accurately, archetypes: a hero (Khan, if you were wondering); a stream of villains, culminating in the ultimate rascal (an amusing Sudeep, who broods as he dangles maidens off precipices); a wife (Sonakshi Sinha); and on and on like that.

At times you wonder if Khan and the director, Prabhudeva, set out to make a parody, distilling Bollywood to its perceived essences: spectacle, lavish dance, heroic posturing. But they stoop to conquer, not to mock. “Dabangg 3” is earnest, and it earnestly wants to deliver thrills. To do so, though, it would have to provide that other essential Bollywood ingredient: emotion. What’s missing are the tears. The movie hardly leaves a trace.

Dabangg 3 Movie Review - Critics

I would recommend Dabangg 3 for all those people who want to see Salman in his form and doing what he does best. Don’t think too much, immerse yourself in the narrative, remind yourselves about the first two installments of the Dabangg franchise. If you haven’t seen them, do watch them and go to watch this one, only then will you have a more fulsome experience. Having said that, the film is a standalone watch as well.

‘Dabangg 3’ is your ultimate Bollywood masala watch. It has enough Entertainment, songs, dance and drama that makes for a really great watch. You will surely leave the theatre with no regrets. 

If you are a fan of Salman Khan movies, which is as formulaic as they come, you'd no doubt enjoy it. Even if you don't count yourself a fan, you'd find Dabangg 3 a highly entertaining masala movie which is true to its genre. Can one expect anything more from a Salman Khan movie?

Bite this bullet only if you are fanatical about Khan and he can do no wrong in your eyes. For those who don’t wear those starry blinkers, sit this one out.

Overall, the film has all the ingredients required for a massy masala entertainer — good action, music, drama and, of course, Salman packing all of this in one story. The portions where the actor throws in comedy while doing hardcore action scenes are nicely done. 'Dabangg 3' shows Salman in his element – throwing deadly blows at the villains amidst all the smoke, dust and fire, while you can hear chants of Hudd Hudd Dabangg in the background. And those certainly will be paisa-vasool moments for Salman Khan's fans.

All in all, Dabangg 3 is 'mazedaar', 'dhamakedaar', 'dumdaar', 'zordaar', and above all, full-on 'masaledaar', just as a Salman Khan movie should be. It's a proper Salman Khan mass film after some time and should set the theaters, especially single screens, on fire.

Dabangg 3 is the kind of film where stomping someone’s groin is accompanied by the sound of smashing glass. And just when we thought that Khan had impressed us with every muscle group possible, in a song, he even flexes his glutes (posterior) without actually moving.

Overall, Dabangg 3 is an entertaining affair thanks to Salman Khan and Kichcha Sudeepa's towering presence and antics. 

Dabangg 3 is as unnecessary as a remake of an item song, a romantic angle between another woman 30 years younger than you, and brutality when dealing with protestors, criminals or general public.

Lacking the calibre to create something fresh, the makers pick on the most popular attributes of the original -- the catchy dialogues, the quirky name by scribbling the sloppiest possible Chulbul Pandey origins that does little besides prolong the Dabangg 3 torture to nearly three hours long.

Dabangg 3 is formulaic, senseless and loud, and offers little respite to anyone other than ardent Salman Khan fans. The idea to make the film both as a prequel and sequel may look intriguing on paper. But the predictable treatment by Prabhudeva loses the film an opportunity to veer off into an interesting direction. That makes Dabangg 3, while offering Bhai fans a few moments to cheer, the weakest in the franchise.

When, right in the beginning, our Chulbul gave us a glimpse of his incredibly muscled legs, I thought, wait up, is this one really going to be different? No bare chest? Of course not. We get two for the price of one, Sudeep’s as well as Salman’s. Sorry bros, ain’t workin’.

On the whole, Dabangg 3 is the weakest in the Dabangg franchise as it has mediocre content. In this age of content-rich cinema, this one looks like a dated film. It will do below-average business at the box-office. Of course, it will join the Rs. 100-crore club but its entry into the Rs. 200-crore club looks like a distant dream.

However, like all Salman Khan starrers Dabangg 3 rests heavily on its leading man to work his charm at the box-office and given Salman Khan’s serendipitous ability to do so time and again, it is quite likely that he will.

Some films are experiences, and therefore, shouldn't be restricted with star ratings, or discussions about the film's merit. A Salman Khan film, in this context, is a rollercoaster ride. You buy a ticket, stand in line, take your seat, buckle yourself up, and pray to the almighty that you don't puke on thy neighbour.

When you step into Dabangg 3, you know you’re in for a Salman Khan extravaganza.  Which would be fine if there was some attempt to tweak the formula or push it into a new direction.  But sadly, the makers seem content to deliver another dose of the same.  But it’s been 9 years.  Even the mighty Chulbul needs an upgrade.

Oh dear, when renowned critics like Komal Nahta say it's the weakest film of the series, this is not good for D3. When D2 was weak as it was. Dabangg 1 was the best and original, with fantastic music. They should have left it at that!!

Dabangg 3 review and release live updates: here's what celebrities, critics and fans are saying about dabangg 3, starring salman khan, sonakshi sinha, saiee manjrekar and sudeep..

Salman Khan’s much-awaited Dabangg 3 has hit the screens. While Salman and Sonakshi Sinha reprise their roles of Chulbul Pandey and Rajjo, Dabangg 3 marks the Bollywood debut of filmmaker Mahesh Manjerakar’s daughter Saiee Manjrekar. Kannada superstar Sudeep plays the main antagonist.

Abhinav Kashyap directorial Dabangg released in 2010.  While the second installment of the franchise was helmed by Arbaaz Khan, Prabhudheva has taken on the mantle of director for the third part.

Talking about joining the cast of Dabangg 3, Sudeep told indianexpress.com , “The feeling of having worked with Salman and Prabhu sir is greater than anything for me. Salman is one of the biggest names in the entertainment industry today. These are not things that I expected to happen. So, when the film happened to me, I accepted it wholeheartedly and enjoyed it thoroughly. I lived every moment. I didn’t come here with any kind of expectation, but I have carried back home a lot of memories and good moments. It is great that I can now say these are the people I have worked with, and I have been part of such a big franchise. It has been a great opportunity for me.”

Trade analyst Girish Johar predicted the opening day collection of Dabangg 3 . He told us, “It is an established franchise, and people always look forward to it. The makers have already started working on Dabangg 4 which shows their confidence. I peg the film at around Rs 27-30 crore and depending upon how the audience find the film, numbers will change by the evening shows. If it is accepted well, it will have a healthy weekend.”

The Indian Express film critic Shubhra Gupta gave Dabangg 3 a one-and-a-half star rating. She wrote, "This is not the kind of film which sees any problem with the hero doing ‘rakhwali’ of the heroine. What else are heroes for? Even the villain who goes by the name of Balli Singh (Sudeep), knows his fate: he will be given an army of henchmen, illegal mines, and a side-business of prostitution, and some dialogues. But he knows, and we know, how it will all end."

Salman Khan, during a media interaction , spoke on Dabangg 3 releasing in Kannada, Tamil and Telugu. He shared, "We have had South films (releasing) and they have done well here. Now, I think it is our time. The film is a proper entertainer, people should like it there too."

Sudeep joins the Dabangg franchise with Dabangg 3. The Kannada superstar plays the antagonist in the Prabhudheva directorial.

Trade analyst Girish Johar also told indianexpress.com , "Salman is a well-established superstar. People want to watch his films, and hence they have a great opening. Later it depends if the audience’s expectations are met with the film or not. Race 3 and Bharat didn’t deliver what people expect from his films, and they went downhill at the box office after a good start. With Dabangg, people know they are going in for hardcore action masala, and I believe they will get plenty of it. This one has firm legs at the box office."

Dabangg 3 song "Hud hud Dabangg" had garnered some controversy for showing saffron-clad sadhus dancing with guitars. Clareaing air around the whole issue, Salman had said during a media interaction , "Every time a big film comes there is always some controversy around it. At least, it is acknowledged that this is a big film and I’m happy about it."

Sonakshi Sinha who is reprising her role of Rajjo in Dabangg 3 after seven years, told indianexpress.com , "It is a surreal feeling because I don’t think any other actress has been repeated in a franchise thrice. It is a film that I began my career with, so whatever I am and wherever I am today, it is because of Dabangg. I will always be grateful to what Rajjo made me."

Trade analyst Rohit Jaiswal tweeted, "#Dabangg3Review - 3*/5 #Dabangg3 is Nowhere near to Dabangg1 But it is FAR better than Dabangg2 With #SalmanKhan charismatic performance & BRILLIANT action #Dabangg3 delivers what it has promised to MASS AUDIENCE #KicchaSudeep emerges as the best villain in Dabang series"

Salman Khan has been credited as the story writer for the film. The screenplay has been written by Salman Khan, Prabhudheva, Dilip Shukla and Aloke Upadhyaya. In one of the media interactions , Salman Khan revealed, "I have written the film, so this film is for the critics (laughs)."

Arbaaz Khan will reprise his role of Makhanchand "Makkhi" Pandey in Salman Khan starrer Dabangg 3. The actor is also one of the producers of the third installment in the Dabangg franchise.

Dabangg 3 is set to release in Kannada, Tamil and Telugu.

At one of the media interactions , Salman Khan had revealed that he was a Rajinikanth fan. The actor said, "I watch Tamil films. In fact, a couple of films from here were remade, and they turned out to be my biggest breakthroughs – Vikram’s Sethu and Vijay’s Pokkiri. Above all, I am a huge fan of Superstar Rajinikanth sir. When the audio launch of 2.0 happened in Mumbai, I simply walked into the event. Rajini sir was shocked because I wasn’t invited in the first place!"

In an interview with indianexpress.com , Sonakshi Sinha said, "I don’t think I can get tired of doing Dabangg. It is a film I look forward to. It is too special as I began my acting career with it. I looked forward to working on this film as Dabangg 2 happened seven years ago. There was always a pressure whether we are going to have Dabangg 3 or not. We didn’t want to put out just anything, so I am really happy with what has happened and the way it has happened."

Dabangg 3 movie review: Audience provides live updates on Salman Khan, Prabhu Deva film

Dabangg 3 movie review received a line of live updates from the audience. The movie features Salman Khan, Sonakshi Sinha, Arbaaz Khan, Mahie Gill and Sudeep.  

Salman Khan’s much-awaited Dabangg 3 has hit theatre screens. The movie marks the Bollywood debut of filmmaker Mahesh Manjerakar’s daughter Saiee Manjrekar. Kannada superstar Sudeep plays the antagonist. Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha play the roles of Chulbul Pandey and Rajjo.

About the movie Dabangg 3:   The movie is an action comedy film and is the third instalment in the Dabangg film series. Salman has written the script along with Prabhu Deva and Alok Upadhyaye and co-produced it with Arbaaz Khan under the respective banners, Salman Khan Films and Arbaaz Khan Productions.

Story: Chulbul Panday played by Salman Khan is a happy cop who lives with his wife Rajjo, played by Sonakshi Sinha and brother Makkhi (Arbaaz Khan).

One day he busts a prostitution racket and saves a few young girls, which angers the powerful Balli (Sudeep). This sets off the rest of the story. The movie has received a U/A certificate from the censor board and its runtime is 2:30 hours.

Trade analyst Girish Johar predicted the opening day collection of Dabangg 3. He said, “It is an established franchise, and people always look forward to it. The makers have already started working on Dabangg 4 which shows their confidence. I peg the film at around Rs 27-30 crore and depending upon how the audience find the film, numbers will change by the evening shows. If it is accepted well, it will have a healthy weekend.”

Yesterday, the movie premiered in the UAE and people who watched it could not stop praising Prabhu Deva's direction, Salman Khan, Sudeep and Sonakshi Sinha's performances. Yes, it is official, Dabangg 3 has got an amazing response from the UAE audience and has garnered positive reviews and ratings.

It is not difficult to debunk ‘Dabangg’, but the third edition of this series does it on its own. It self ‘Dabanggs’. The characteristic style of the franchise disintegrates, until the narrative implodes in a messy trail of unbelievable plot turns and disjunctive scenes.

The film starts off well enough with the Chulbul Pandey swag. This is a characteristic sketch of a distinct persona with an overconfident mixture of threat and humour. As the movie begins, Chulbul bursts into a crime scene – a wedding hall in which the guests are being relieved of their jewellery. He plays a cat and mouse game with the robbers, teasing and torturing them in turn, dodging and feinting to effect. He informs them of the number of additional holes he is going to manufacture in their bodies. Conveniently, the crooks are congenitally stupid and fall for his ruses like a collection of robotic goons.

‘Inspector Chulbul Pandey (Salman Khan) reporting for duty, Sir’, is the cinematic meme which is packaged with this, and other scenes. A ‘Dabangg’ is supposed to give you the bang for your buck, and had the film continued in this irreverent vein, it would have been consistent with its brand image. But, suddenly and inexplicably, the script of this third edition goes into heavy duty flashback scenes, reminiscent of the worst of the 1970s action movies.

Without warning, the film plunges us into a backstory about Chulbul’s first love, a tragedy that turned him into the crime fighter he is today. It describes his simpering romance with a young girl called Khushi (Saiee Manjrekar), and a confrontation with Bali Singh (Sudeep), a big time Don who also loves her.

The climactic scene in this flashback sequence is a scene on the top of a mountain in which Bali strings Khushi up on a rope and threatens to let her fall because (a) she does not love him and (b) should he force himself on her, she would still love Chulbul. This is his dilemma, the Catch 22 scene. It goes on forever.

In order to bring some parity to the film, and in order not to let Chulbul’s wife in the present era, Rajjo (Sonakshi Sinha), feel left out of the equation, Bali has her strung up too. But by this time Chulbul has the measure of this villain, and is no hurry. He lets his wife hang out for a while. Then he takes his shirt off and demolishes Bali Singh.

The direction, particularly the use of CGI, is so shoddy, that in the action sequences, you often don’t know who is hitting whom, or, for that matter, who is hitting on whom. The shot division does not follow any space/time orientation and you end up quite confused.

Clearly, in ‘Dabangg 3′ Chulbul Pandey has lost his mojo.

Rating: 1.5 Stars (out of 5)

Director Prabhu Deva, enthused no doubt by the stellar presence of the film's trump card Salman Khan, crams Dabangg 3 with components that were put to the test in the previous two instalments of the franchise. Stale as these ingredients are, familiarity cannot but be reassuring for the fans of a Bollywood superstar who defies age and romances a debutante barely out of her teens. For all others, to put it mildly, an overwhelming sense of ennui is inevitable as the film lurches from set piece to another.

The law of diminishing returns kicks in rather quickly in this revenge saga because the scattershot concoction that is rustled up around the lead actor's rakish ways is unbearably hackneyed. But that, needless to say, is only if you aren't an inveterate Salman Khan loyalist in whose eyes star power ranks way above narrative cohesion.

Dabangg 3 Movie Review: Salman Khan returns as Chulbul Pandey

In Dabangg 3 , Chulbul Pandey takes charge of a police station in the town of Tundla, Uttar Pardesh, as an assistant superintendent of police. His first raid is on a wedding party that's been attacked by an armed gang of robbers - the long drawn out fight sequence, referred to in the credits as "introduction scene", has been choreographed by Vijayan while all the other action scenes have been credited to Anl Arasu. Not only does our Robin Hood have to contend with criminals desperate to see his back but also teach his treacherous stepbrother Makkhan Chand Pandey (Arbaaz Khan) a thing or two about being on the right side of the law.

Not much separates the hero's exploits from his antics - in fact, one often feeds off the other - and Salman appears to clown around with abandon even when he - and the film - are seeking to attain a level of solemnity. The momentum-breaking songs do not help matters. They only extend the film's length and slow it down. The comic scenes, awkward and poorly written, are even worse.

The climax of Dabangg 3 is staged in an abandoned mine presumably owned by the villain, Bali Singh (Kichcha Sudeep), where humans and machines are indiscriminately blown to smithereens by a very, very angry Chulbul Pandey before he draws his principal adversary into a bloody duel aimed at avenging the killing of a girl the protagonist was in love with once upon a time (more on that later).

Like its baddie, who radiates malevolence with unbridled glee, this film has no redeeming qualities. Dabangg 3 is a sky-high trash heap that, unmindful of its putridity, fancies its chances of being mistaken for a mountain.

In one scene, Chulbul says jocularly: " Hum class aur mass dono ke liye kaam karte hain ." You snigger because, in a meta context, the line conveys ambition rather than conviction. Nothing in Dabangg 3 reflects any belief in classy, sensible storytelling. But even as a massy masala flick, it falls short. The dialogues, which gave the first Dabangg its thunder and heft, stray into infantilism far too often. So, we have Chulbul delivering lines like " Chamche ho, ab clear karo teaspoon ho ke tablespoon ho " or " Hum unhi ko thokte hain jo zaroorat se zyada bhonkte hain " or, and this is the absolute pits, " Tumra bhai hamara ghar toda hum tumhara sar todega ". Well, well, do not break your head trying to suss what is going on because that is obviously the last thing the makers of Dabangg 3 want you to do.

Brimming with action, music and pulpy punchlines, this is an unabashed potboiler that delivers neither a bang for the buck nor recaptures the comic energy that shone through in the first two outings. The drab storyline scrapes the bottom of the genre barrel despite an effective performance from Kannada megastar Sudeep, playing an embodiment of pure evil and holding his own in a film in which Salman dominates every single frame, sometimes to his own detriment.

Dabangg 3 provides fans of the franchise exactly what they are looking for - the lovable crime-buster who does not shy away from bending the rules when faced with situations and people that are tricky and spell trouble. The liberties he takes, the one-liners he spouts and the swag he injects into the policeman act lend the film its superficial gloss. That is all a Salman Khan movie usually needs in order to send his fan base into raptures. Here, there's grave doubt.

While Chulbul goes about his job, which involves among other things rescuing trafficked damsels from the clutches off a woman who thinks she can get away with murder but finds her pride badly dented by Chulbul, the film packs into its two-and-a-half-hour expanse umpteen songs, including one that has Salman swaying to the beats of Munna badnaam hua in the company of Warina Hussain and Prabhu Deva, fights that the hero wades into in solitary splendour and always emerges from sans a scratch on his body, and stray social messages: anti-smoking, anti-dowry and pro-water conservation. This is Bollywood CSR at work but it's so shoddy that it unlikely to cause so much as a ripple.

The film pulls out the stops to tell us why the protagonist, now every inch a family man who is devoted to his doting wife Rajjo (Sonakshi Sinha), favours unconventional methods to punish and reform criminals. Dabangg 3 is a prequel of sorts presenting an origin story that traces the transformation of a village wastrel named Dhaakad Chand Pandey into a tough cop forsworn to eradicating crime.

It takes us back to his first love, Khushi (debutante Saiee Manjrekar), a rustic belle who attracts the unwanted attention of the baddie. That triggers a bitter, tragic confrontation between the hero and the antagonist. The former loses a dear one and finds a mission in life. But The film never stops meandering.

The clash between Chulbul Pandey and the bad guy pans out along familiar lines, with Sudeep lending the face-off a degree of novelty. But that is anything but enough for a film that is this turgid and bloated. Dabangg 3 is an all too formulaic one-way street that holds no surprises at all. It goes nowhere we haven't been before.

Watching Dabangg 3 its clear that the law of diminishing returns has caught up with this franchise. There is just no polite way to say this €“ the new film is an excruciating, exhausting bore. Im going with one-and-a-half out of five for Dabangg 3. I left the cinema with a pounding headache and a moment of silence for a promising character that they all but buried. When you step into  Dabangg 3 , you know youre in for a Salman Khan extravaganza.  Which would be fine if there was some attempt to tweak the formula or push it into a new direction.  But sadly, the makers seem content to deliver another dose of the same.  But its been 9 years.  Even the mighty Chulbul needs an upgrade.

On the whole, Dabangg 3 is the weakest in the Dabangg franchise as it has mediocre content. In this age of content-rich cinema, this one looks like a dated film. Overall, the film has all the ingredients required for a massy masala entertainer €“ good action, music, drama and, of course, Salman packing all of this one story. The portions where the actor throws in comedy while doing hardcore action scenes are nicely done. ‘Dabangg 3’ shows Salman in his element €“ throwing deadly blows at the villains amidst all the smoke, dust and fire, while you can hear chants of Hudd Hudd Dabangg in the background. And those certainly will be a paisa-vasool moments for Salman Khan’s fans.

Kichcha Sudeep Gets Thumbs Up For Dabangg 3 From Taran Adarsh

Salman Khan's Dabangg 3 hit theatres worldwide today. The popular franchise has opened to rave reviews from not only fans and movie buffs, even critics have given their thumbs up to Dabangg 3. Talking about the film after watching it, film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh has sang praises of the movie. In a tweet posted on his timeline, Taran Adarsh says, Dabangg 3 is an out and out Salman Khan movie and the movie is overall entertaining. He also goes on to say that Chulbul Pandey is back and that interval and climax are highlights of the movie. One other thing he mentions is about Kannada actor Kichcha Sudeep who plays a villain in the movie. He says Sudeep is excellent. Now that the Kannada actor has earned critical acclaim, he is sure to be flooded with offers from Bollywood.

Sudeep is busy juggling movies and TV reality show Bigg Boss Kannada 7 which he hosts. He is also said to have received an offer to play a baddie in Simbu's Manadu. He is yet to respond to that.

Meanwhile, Dabangg 3 is running to packed houses in all the morning shows. The film features Sonakshi Sinha, Arbaaz Khan among others. The box office figures are expected to be impressive. Stay tuned for updates on Salman Khan's Dabangg 3.

The film's collection has reportedly been affected due to the ongoing protest in the country. The amount affected is around ₹7-₹9 collections. The movie has to hold over the week to get a hit verdict. According to reports, the movie will collect around ₹200 to ₹250 crores in its lifetime. Its buzz will be affected as Good Newwz is set to release on coming Friday. The runtime of the film has also been cut.

The movie shows the past life of Chulbul Pandey, and will also show its connection to his present life. Saiee Manjrekar will play the role of Salman’s love interest in his earlier life. Sonakshi Sinha will reprise her role of, Rajjo. Kiccha Sudeep will be seen as the villain.  Dabangg 3  is released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada languages.

SIMMBA is a sure-shot winner, no two opinions about it. This one will storm the boxoffice. 2018 is sure to conclude with a roar!

ZERO has several factors going for it: star presence, winsome performances, energetic soundtrack and of course, it’s timed during the Christmas and New Year vacations. Sadly, the weak, flawed and lacklustre screenwriting is all that you recall after you’ve watched the much-awaited movie. This one’s an epic disappointment!

THUGS OF HINDOSTAN has some engrossing moments in the first half, that’s about it. The post-interval portions are an absolute downer. The plot is formulaic, while the screenplay is riddled with cinematic liberties. At the box-office, TOH is bound to have a huge weekend thanks to the festive period coupled with tremendous hype and the impressive names involved. But once the initial euphoria settles down, it’ll be difficult for the film to sustain. This one is a golden opportunity lost, a KING-SIZED DISAPPOINTMENT!

SANJU is an entertaining saga that blends emotions, humour and drama in adequate doses. It is powerful, engaging, emotional as well as compelling. The combination of Rajkumar Hirani and Ranbir Kapoor works like a dream. At the box office, despite not being a ‘typical Rajkumar Hirani family entertainer’, SANJU will score tremendously and emerge as a Monstrous Hit! Don’t miss it!

…the BAAHUBALI franchise has successfully created its own world and some incredible characters that are sure to stay with you for a long, long time. Talking specifically of BAAHUBALI-2, it’s a feast for moviegoers and has the trappings to make all generations its fan. The film is sure to vanquish previous BO records and rewrite the rules of the game. It shouldn’t come as a surprise if it turns out to be the biggest grosser of Indian cinema. East, West, North, South… BAAHUBALI-2 is akin to a typhoon that will end the dry spell at the BO and go down as a textbook on how to make a solid entertainer. EPIC BLOCKBUSTER.

FAN has a brilliant first half, but loses track in the second hour, only to pick up again towards the pre-climax. The writing should’ve been tighter, while the absence of music [it’s a songless film!] may also prove a stumbling block, but what works, and works big time, is the terrific act by SRK as the fan. And that’s enough reason for you to watch this thriller!

DILWALE is akin to a mouthwatering meal that satiates the craving of those who relish masalathons, besides being an absolute treat for SRK-Kajol fans. An unadulterated crowd-pleaser, DILWALE delivers what you expect from a Rohit Shetty film: King-sized entertainment. Go for it!

…a cinematic gem that you just cannot miss. Tremendous performances, deft direction, power-packed screenwriting and dialogue, melodious soundtrack and of course, the lavish mounting — this film has it all. Strongly recommended!

…is the perfect Diwali entertainer for the entire family. The film will win abundant love [prem], while its investors will reap a harvest [dhan], making it a memorable Diwali for all concerned. This one’s a record-smasher — scoring from East to West and from North to South, scoring at plexes as well as single screens, scoring at metros as well as non-metros, scoring in the domestic market as well as in the international arena. B-L-O-C-K-B-U-S-T-E-R!

…is relevant, powerful and inspiring with a top notch performance by Rani Mukerji. Worth a watch!
