Action is one film which has been creating good waves because of its crazy trailers. The film has hit the screens today. Lets see how the film is.

Subhash (Vishal) is an army officer who is the son of a CM. One fine day, his father announces Subhash’s brother as his successor and when all this is happening in a meeting, a bomb blast occurs and most of Subhash’s family gets killed. Upon investigation, Subhash finds out that some international terrorist is behind all this. The rest of the story is as to how Subhash goes on a mission and finds the culprits.

Plus Points :

The entire setup of the film is pretty interesting. The thrills and action scenes are on par with Hollywood films and are a major attraction for the film. Tamannah looks super hot in songs and does her supporting role well.

Vishal looks and plays his part quite well. Being an action hero, Vishal has done all the stunts himself and is very impressive in it. Sayaji Shinde did his major role well. Akanksha Puri is super hot in her negative role and provides good eye candy.

The suspense in the first half has been generated quite well. The production values and camera work is top notch and showcases the action in a superb manner. The political set up and family emotions are also decent in first half.

Minus Points :

The last half an hour of the film is a let down as routine proceedings and predictable scenes are showcased. A terrorist hiding in Pakistan being brought to India has been showcased in many films before.

The logics goes for a toss during this time as Vishal and Tamannah easily make their way into a dreaded terrorists house just like that. The pace also goes down making the film a bit dull.

Technical Aspects :

Production values of the film are top notch as film has an international setup. The BGM by Hip Hop Thamiza is amazing. Action choreography is on another level. Telugu dubbing is neat. Tamannah has been styled superbly.

Coming to the director Sundar, he does a decent job with the film. For a direct Tamil film, Action is quite high in terms ofmaking, stunts and visuals. Sundar creates good suspense and narrated the first half in a terrific manner. Had he.made the last half half an hour interesting, things would have been even better.

On the whole, Action is a masala thriller that has a gripping first half. Amazing stunts, good suspense and stunning visuals keep the audience engaged. The second half starts well but slows down in the last half an hour making the film predictable and routine. If you don’t mind these aspects and want to watch an action-filled flick this weekend, Action ends up as a decent time pass watch.

Ravi Teja’s Eagle: Everything You Need To Know about the Action Thriller

Ravi Teja is among the most prominent names in the Telugu film industry. With time, the actor has garnered a lot of love from his fans. His versatility is what amazed his fans the most. From villainous roles to a leading hero, he has done it all. While the actor is extremely active in the industry, he has a number of movies in the pipeline. The most awaited one is his Telugu action thriller Eagle . Because of the film’s trailer and regular updates, there is a massive buzz around it. The movie is just a few days away from its release date and here are all the details about it.

Eagle cast, plot, and more details

Ravi Teja is leading the much-awaited film Eagle. Anupama Parameswaran, Kavya Thapar, Navdeep, Srinivas Avasarala, and Madhoo are playing supporting roles in the movie. Karthik Gattamneni, who is known for Surya vs Surya is directing the film, while People Media Factory is producing it. Davzand is composing the score and soundtrack, while Gattamneni is handling the cinematography and editing of the movie. The makers of the movie officially announced the film in June 2023 and since then Teja’s fans have been waiting to catch the film.

Kavya Thapar, who is playing Ravi Teja’s love interest in Eagle, recently spilled some beans about the movie. As per 123telugu.com , at a press meet, the actress lauded the romance in the film, while talking about her role. She said, “I played Rachana in Eagle, who has unique goals in life. The love story would be extraordinary, and I can’t reveal more about it. Ravi Teja Garu and I shared a unique chemistry. The movie has come out well, and our entire team is confident.”

On the other hand, Anupama Parameswaran is playing an entirely different role which does not involve any chemistry with Ravi Teja. The actress could be seen in a serious avatar in the movie. Teja has been lauding the actress during events and interviews and has even mentioned how important she is to the movie.

Not much about the film’s plot has been revealed yet. However, the trailer suggests that Ravi Teja is playing a ruthless assassin who has carried out his business in Germany, Turkey, and Japan. The trailer teased a lot of mass action in the film with some drama and thrill. The film’s trailer was unveiled over a month ago. Watch the trailer here:

Ravi Teja reviews his own movie

Ravi Teja has starred in many mass actioners and his knowledge of movies is indeed commendable. He, himself, reviewed Eagle after watching the film with its makers. On February 5, People Media Factory revealed how the actor reacted to Eagle. In the clip, he can be seen smiling and hugging the film’s team. Moreover, in the end, he yelled, “I am super satisfied,” reassuring the makers that the film was a good one.

In the caption, the production house wrote, “I’M SUPER SATISFIED. THE BLOCKBUSTER FIRST REVIEW of #EAGLE is out and it is from the Man himself. MASS MAHARAJA @Raviteja_offl expresses his SUPER CONFIDENCE after watching the special preview!”

According to 123telugu.com , Eagle’s runtime is 2 hours and 11 minutes. Moreover, the movie has been given U/A certification by the Central Board of Film Certification of India.

Initially, Eagle was set to hit the theaters on January 13, 2024, ahead of the festival of Sankranti. However, following a producers’ meeting, the movie was delayed to avoid massive competition at the box office. Already, Guntur Kaaram, HanuMan, Saindhav, and Naa Saami Ranga were released around the festival. As a result, the makers of Eagle locked the film’s release date on February 9, 2024 .

మీరా పోరాటం...

మీరా (త్రిష‌) త‌న కొడుకు కెవిన్ బ‌ర్త్‌డేకు కొడైకెనాల్ ట్రిప్ ప్లాన్ చేస్తుంది. కానీ మీరా ప్రెగ్నెంట్ కావ‌డంతో డాక్ట‌ర్ లాంగ్ డ్రైవ్‌కు వెళ్ల‌కూడ‌ద‌ని స‌ల‌హా ఇస్తుంది. చివ‌రి నిమిషంలో మీరా ట్రిప్ నుంచి త‌ప్పుకుంటుంది. మీరా భ‌ర్త‌ ఆనంద్‌తో (సంతోష్ ప్ర‌తాప్‌) పాటు ఆమె కొడుకు కెవిన్ మాత్ర‌మే కొడైకెనాల్ కారులో వెళ‌తారు. దారిలో వారి కారుకు యాక్సిడెంట్ అవుతుంది. ఆ ప్ర‌మాదంలో ఆనంద్‌, కెవిన్ చ‌నిపోతారు.

క్రైమ్ మిస్ట‌రీ థ్రిల్ల‌ర్‌ క‌థాంశంతో ది రోడ్ మూవీని ద‌ర్శ‌కుడు అరుణ్ వ‌సీగ‌ర‌ణ్ తెర‌కెక్కించాడు. ఫేక్ యాక్సిడెంట్స్‌కు పాల్ప‌డుతూ ప్ర‌జ‌ల‌ను దోచుకుంటోన్న ఓ ముఠా గుట్టును సాధార‌ణ యువ‌తి ఎలా క‌నిపెట్టింది? త‌న భ‌ర్త‌, కొడుకు మ‌ర‌ణంపై ఏ విధంగా ప్ర‌తీకారం తీర్చుకున్న‌ద‌నే పాయింట్‌తో ద‌ర్శ‌కుడు ది రోడ్(The Road Review) క‌థ‌ను రాసుకున్నాడు. సింపుల్ స్టోరీని డిఫ‌రెంట్ స్క్రీన్‌ప్లేతో కొత్త‌గా స్క్రీన్‌పై ప్ర‌జెంట్ చేసే ప్ర‌య‌త్నం చేశాడు.

ఓ వైపు త్రిష క‌థ‌, మ‌రోవైపు విల‌న్ స్టోరీ రెండు క‌థ‌ల‌ను స‌మాంత‌రంగా చూపిస్తూ సినిమా సాగుతుంది. అయితే త్రిష స్టోరీ ప్ర‌జెంట్‌లో న‌డిస్తే...విల‌న్ క‌థ మాత్రం పాస్ట్‌లో రివ‌ర్స్ స్క్రీన్‌ప్లేతో సాగుతుంది. ఆ స్క్రీన్‌ప్లే టెక్నిక్ సినిమాకు(The Road Review) ప్ల‌స్ పాయింట్‌గా నిలిచింది. అమాయ‌కుడైన ఓ వ్య‌క్తి త‌న‌పై ప‌డ్డ త‌ప్పుడు ఆరోప‌ణ‌ల కార‌ణంగా స‌మాజం నుంచి ఎలాంటి అవ‌మానాల్ని ఎదుర్కొన్నాడు? ఆ సంఘ‌ట‌న‌లు అత‌డిని ఏ విధంగా త‌ప్పుడు దారి ప‌ట్టించాయ‌న్న‌ది విల‌న్ పాత్ర ద్వారా చూపించిన విధానం బాగుంది.

ఒక్కో చిక్కుముడి...

త్రిష ఫ్యామిలీ నేప‌థ్యంలో వ‌చ్చే సీన్స్‌తోనే ది రోడ్ సినిమా మొద‌ల‌వుతుంది. ఆ త‌ర్వాత యాక్సిడెంట్‌లో ఆనంద్‌, కెవిన్ చ‌నిపోవ‌డం, వారిది యాక్సిడెంట్ కాద‌ని త్రిష క‌నిపెట్టే సీన్‌తోనే అస‌లు స్టోరీ లోకి డైరెక్ట‌ర్ ఎంట‌ర్ అయ్యారు. ఆ క్రైమ్ వెన‌కున్న ఒక్కో చిక్కుముడిని త్రిష విప్పుకుంటూ వెళుతూ చివ‌ర‌కు అస‌లైన విల‌న్‌ను క‌నిపెట్ట‌డంతో సినిమా(The Road Review) ఎండ్ అవుతుంది.

కాన్సెప్ట్ బాగుంది....కానీ

ఫేక్ యాక్సిడెంట్స్ అనే కాన్సెప్ట్ బాగున్నా దానిని స్క్రీన్‌పై ఎంగేజింగ్‌గా చెప్ప‌లేక‌పోయాడు డైరెక్ట‌ర్‌. హీరోయిన్‌, విల‌న్ కాన్‌ఫ్లిక్ట్ స‌రిగా పండ‌లేదు. త్రిష ఇన్వేస్టిగేష‌న్ మొత్తం న‌త్త‌న‌డ‌క‌న సాగుతుంది. ట్విస్ట్‌లు ఈజీగా గెస్ చేసేలానే ఉంటాయి. త్రిష‌పై చిత్రీక‌రించిన‌ యాక్ష‌న్ ఎపిసోడ్స్ ఆక‌ట్టుకోవు. లేడీ విల‌న్ గ్యాంగ్ బ్యాచ్ న‌ట‌న‌ ఆర్టిఫిషియ‌ల్‌గా ఉంది.

త్రిష యాక్టింగ్ ప్ల‌స్‌...

పెద్ద క్రైమ్‌ను వెలికితీసే సాధార‌ణ యువ‌తిగా త్రిష యాక్టింగ్ బాగుంది. వ‌న్ ఉమెన్ షోగా ఈ సినిమాకు నిలిచింది. ఎమోష‌న‌ల్ సీన్స్‌లో మెప్పించింది. అమాయ‌కుడి నుంచి విల‌న్‌గా మారే యువ‌కుడిగా ష‌బీర్ న‌ట‌న ఆక‌ట్టుకుంటుంది. త్రిష స్నేహితురాలిగా మియాజార్జ్‌, కానిస్టేబుల్‌గా ఎమ్‌, ఎస్ భాస్క‌ర్ ప్రాధాన్య‌మున్న పాత్ర‌ల్లో క‌నిపించారు.

The Road Review -స్పీడు బ్రేకులు…

ది రోడ్ అడుగ‌డుగునా స్పీడు బ్రేకులే ఉన్న క్రైమ్ మిస్ట‌రీ థ్రిల్ల‌ర్ మూవీ ఇది. పాయింట్ కొత్త‌గా ఉన్నా క‌థ‌నాన్ని స్క్రీన్‌పై ఆవిష్క‌రించిన తీరు మాత్రం డిజ‌పాయింట్ చేస్తుంది.

The makers of 'Ruslaan' were on an assignment: to project Aayush Sharma as the next action star, and they did it well. Like most of the cinematic war heroes, he is impulsive and impatient, defies protocols, yet displays remarkable courage and love for his motherland. In his third film, the actor impresses audiences with his well-sculpted body, agility, and his alpha-man attitude. While the film hails him as the 'undefeatable hero', it fails in its screenplay.

A police officer adopts the son of a terrorist. He grows up aspiring to overcome his tainted past and serve the nation to prove his deshbhakti (patriotism). A story like this is a potboiler missing from the screens in recent times. If only the film had been made a couple of decades back, it would have left audiences whistling and cheering for the protagonist as he fought his tumultuous life.

Aayush Sharma has certainly come a long way since his debut film, 'Loveyatri', but he still has room for improvement in emotional scenes. Despite his character's family being tragically wiped out, enduring bullying during childhood, and carrying the tag of a 'terrorist's son', 'Ruslaan' fails to evoke any sympathy from the audience.

Also, what's with the raised eyebrows every time you want to look intense? So not needed, young man! Aayush can dance well, fight like a champ, and looks presentable on screen too. All he needs now is a good script and a director to prove his mettle as an actor.

Newcomer Sushrii Mishraa has a delightful screen presence and can give competition to men when it comes to action. However, her character lacked depth. She didn't get an opportunity to exhibit her acting prowess. The makers also failed to give veteran actor Jagapathi Babu a role worth biting into, as he's reduced to being a sorrowful father and police officer. Even as the character's dynamics change, their impact remains minimal. Vidya Malvade, as a senior RAW officer, managed to make the most of her limited screen time in the film.

Apart from the turbulent storytelling, debutant director Karan Butani has done a fair job of helming a sleek and stylish film. He was also ably supported by his action director and cinematographer. At times, 'Ruslaan' even resembles a commercial for world tourism, seamlessly transporting viewers from one location to another. However, the music is forgettable, ironically, given that the lead character is portrayed as a gifted musician. There are also moments when one questions how Ruslaan, an untrained aspiring agent, can fight and kill like a professional. These small details are often overlooked by the makers, but they make a significant difference.

The angle of the 'good and bad Muslim' is subtly played with, and 'Ruslaan' once again portrays Pakistan and China as sworn enemies of India. The Kashmir issue is also hinted at as the antagonist laments over his family being killed by Indian soldiers. However, the desh-bhakti in the film is abundant, and the monologues don't sound jingoistic. But it's rather distasteful to see the half-hearted efforts of the makers when an actor from Bhutan is cast and is repeatedly addressed as ‘Chinese'.

Recalling the story of a Punjabi agent who masqueraded as a Pakistani officer for years before getting caught, Vidya Malvade's character says, "Ek accha agent banne ke liye ek accha actor banna bhi important hai" (to be a good agent, you have to be a good actor). This made us think that 'ek acchi film banane ke liye, apart from all the glam, ek accha screenplay sabse important hota hai' (To make a good film, you need a good screenplay too).

'Civil War' Is Now A24’s Second-Biggest Hit of All Time at the Domestic Box Office

In just over two full weeks of release, writer-director Alex Garland ’s Civil War has already become the second-biggest film in indie outfit A24’s history. Having been granted the studio’s biggest-ever budget of $50 million, the dystopian action movie passed the $50 million mark on its third Friday in domestic theaters, overtaking Uncut Gems ’ lifetime haul to claim the number two spot on the list of A24’s highest-grossing films. The studio’s top-grossing film of all time remains Everything Everywhere All at Once , which concluded its domestic run with $77 million a couple of years ago, and went on to win the Academy Award for Best Picture.

Civil War added $1.9 million this Friday, taking its running domestic total to $51 million in just 15 days . The chances of the film eventually overtaking Everything Everywhere All at Once look bright, especially since it's doing so well on Premium-Large Format and IMAX screens. The controversies that Civil War has generated because of its divisive subject-matter are also helping draw attention, no doubt. Set in a near future America that has been divided by a civil war , the film follows a group of war journalists on a cross-country journey to Washington D.C. , where they intend to cover the capture of the dictatorial president.

Civil War ’s $51 million gross puts it ahead of memorable A24 movies such as Lady Bird and Talk to Me (both with $48 million), Hereditary ($44 million), The Iron Claw ($35 million), Moonlight and Midsommar (both with $27 million), and Garland’s own Ex Machina , which concluded its domestic run with $25 million. The acclaimed filmmaker now has two movies on A24’s all-time top 10 list . Global numbers for Civil War are a little sketchy, with A24 having sold overseas distribution rights to local companies. But a Variety report from last week put the film’s global haul at around $70 million, which means that it is, at the very least, among the top 5 highest-grossing A24 films on the global chart .

'Civil War' Ushers A24 Into a New Era of Big-Budget Cinema

The indie studio is looking to level up after a decade producing some of the most acclaimed small-budget genre movies of recent times . In these 10 years, A24 has also earned a tremendous amount of brand recognition , which certainly played a major role in facilitating Civil War ’s record opening of $25 million — nearly twice as high as the previous record-holder Hereditary ’s $13 million debut. This is a notable pivot, considering A24 won Oscars in all six major categories just two years ago, when Everything Everywhere All at Once won Best Picture plus five acting Oscars, and The Whale picked up Best Actor for Brendan Fraser . The studio will soon be turning Hideo Kojima ’s “Death Stranding” video game into a live-action film.

Reviews for Civil War have been mostly solid . The movie earned a B- CinemaScore, and currently sits at a “fresh” 81% approval rating on the aggregator platform Rotten Tomatoes . In his review, Collider’s Matthew Donato called it Garland’s “best film,” and praised Kirsten Duns t’s lead performance as the desensitized photographer Lee Smith. Civil War also stars Wagner Moura , Cailee Spaeny , Stephen McKinley Henderson , and Jesse Plemons in a scene-stealing cameo.
