हमेशा से कहा जाता रहा है कि ‘आवश्यकता ही अविष्कार की जननी है’, जैसे-जैसे मानव जाति की आवश्यकता बढती गई, वैसे-वैसे ही उसने अपनी सुविधा के लिए अविष्कार करना आरंभ किया। विज्ञान से तात्पर्य एक ऐसे व्यवस्थित ज्ञान से है जो विचार, अवलोकन और प्रयोगों से प्राप्त किया जाता है जो कि किसी अध्ययन की प्रकृति या सिद्धांतो की जानकारी प्राप्त करने के लिए किए जाते हैं। विज्ञान शब्द का प्रयोग ज्ञान की ऐसी शाखा के लिए भी किया जाता है, जो तथ्य, सिद्धांत और तरीको का प्रयोग और परिकल्पना से स्थापित और व्यवस्थित करता है।

किसी भी वस्तु के बारे में जानकारी प्राप्त करना और जानकारी को सही तरीके से लागू करना तथा किसी भी वस्तु का सही अवलोकन अथवा विश्लेषण करना ही विज्ञान है। ‘वि’ का अर्थ है विकास करना, इससे तात्पर्य है कि विकास करने वाले ज्ञान को ही विज्ञान कहते हैं। आज विज्ञान के चमत्कार (vigyan ke chamatkar par nibandh) के माध्यम से ही मानव जाति इतनी समृद्ध हो पाई है। यदि प्राचीन काल की बात करें, तो मानव विकास उसकी चेतना के जागृत होने तथा उसकी जिज्ञासा का समुद्र की तरह विशाल होने के कारण ही हो पाया है। सबसे पहले मानव ने अपनी कमजोरियों को समझा और उसके बाद अपनी सीमाओं को, फिर मानव ने अपने दृढ़ निश्चय से अपनी कमजोरियों को दूर करने तथा अपनी सीमाओं को पार करने का अथक प्रयास किया।

इसमें मानव की चेतना ने मानव का बहुत साथ दिया। मानव चेतना ने स्वयं की कमजोरियों के बारे में उसे आभास कराया जैसे कि वह जंगली जानवरों से कमजोर है, मानव को उनसे लड़ने और अपनी रक्षा करने के लिए औजारों की आवश्यकता है, आदि तथा मानव की जिज्ञासा ने मानव को नई-नई वस्तुओं के बारें में जानकारी एकत्र करने के लिए प्रेरित किया जैसे वह किस वस्तु के माध्यम से एक मजबूत औजार बना सकता है जो उसके और उसकी परिवार की रक्षा कर सकता है। यही वह समय था जब पुरातन काल से मानव की चेतना और जिज्ञासा ने मानव को प्रगति की राह पर बढ़ते रहने को प्रेरित किया। इसके पश्चात मानव ने पीछे मुड़ कर नहीं देखा और निरंतर अपना और अपने समाज का विकास करता चला गया।

मानव द्वारा अपनी आवश्यकताओं को पूरा करने के लिए किए गए अथक प्रयासों की वजह से और विज्ञान के चमत्कार (wonder of science in hindi) से ही ऐसा संभव हो पाया है। मानव ने हर क्षेत्र में अपना विकास किया, पृथ्वी से लेकर ब्रह्मांड तक मानव ने विज्ञान के चमत्कार के माध्यम से अपने लक्ष्यों को प्राप्त करने का प्रयास किया। हमारे वैज्ञानिकों ने ऐसे प्रयोगों को सफल बनाया है, जो मानव जाति के लिए बहुत महत्वपूर्ण थे। उन्होंने शिक्षा, यातायात, संचार, चिकित्सा, आदि सभी क्षेत्रों में चमत्कार किए हैं।

यदि हम यातायात के साधनों की बात करें, तो एक समय ऐसा था जब मनुष्य अपने पैरों के माध्यम से ही विचरण करता था और उसे किसी भी स्थान पर पहुँचने में बहुत समय लगता था। इस आवश्यकता पर ध्यान केंद्रित करते हुए इंसान ने पहिए का अविष्कार किया और आज वह इससे बहुत आगे निकल चुका है। एक समय था जब मनुष्य के लिए उड़ना कल्पना मात्र था, परंतु मनुष्य ने विज्ञान की सहायता से इस कल्पना को यथार्थ में परिवर्तित किया और हवाई जहाज का निर्माण किया। अब हम इसे विज्ञान का चमत्कार नहीं कहेंगे, तो और भला क्या कहेंगे। यातायात के क्षेत्र में विज्ञान के ऐसे बहुत से वंडर ऑफ साइंस हैं जो अकल्पनीय हैं, जैसे पानी के बड़े-बड़े जहाज, बुलेट ट्रेन, मेट्रो ट्रेन, हवाई जहाज, अंतरिक्ष में पहुँचने के लिए स्पेस क्राफ्ट आदि जो आज इस समाज के विकास में अपना योगदान दे रहे हैं।

भारत की विज्ञान के क्षेत्र में उपलब्धियां बढ़ती ही जा रहीं हैं। हमारा चंद्रयान-3 चंद्रमा की दक्षिणी सतह पर सफलतापूर्वक उतरने वाला यान बन गया है। इसके अलावा सूर्य के बारे में अनुसंधान करने वाला आदित्य एल-1 विज्ञान और प्रौद्योगिकी के क्षेत्र में भारतीय वैज्ञानिकों क्षमता को प्रदर्शित करता है।

वंडर ऑफ साइंस की वजह से हमारा देश भारत भी अंतरिक्ष के क्षेत्र में काफी आगे बढ़ता जा रहा है भारत ने भी एक साथ 104 उपग्रह लांच करके नया कीर्तिमान स्थापित किया है, साथ ही पिछले वर्ष हमारे देश के विज्ञानिकों ने उपग्रह को अंतरिक्ष में ही समाप्त करने के लिए मिसाइल का सफल परीक्षण किया। भारत ने एंटी-सैटेलाइट मिसाइल के लिए पृथ्वी एयर डिफेंस (पैड) सिस्टम को विकसित किया है। इसे प्रद्युम्न बैलिस्टिक मिसाइल इंटरसेप्टर भी कहते हैं। यह एक्सो-एटमॉसफियरिक (पृथ्वी के वातावरण से बाहर) और एंडो-एटमॉसफियरिक (पृथ्वी के वातावरण से अंदर) लक्ष्यों को नष्ट करने में सक्षम हैं।

हमारे देश ने विज्ञान के चमत्कार के माध्यम से अंतरिक्ष के क्षेत्र में बहुत से कीर्तिमान स्थापित किए है जिसमे से भारत का मंगल मिशन सफलता की नई उच्चाईयों को छु रहा है। यह मंगल गृह पर पहला ऐसा मिशन था जो सफल रहा था। साथ ही भारत के चंद्रयान प्रथम ने ही चंद्रमा पर पानी होने की पुष्टि की थी। हालांकि हमारा चंद्रयान द्वितीय सफल नहीं हो पाया पर हमारे वैज्ञानिकों ने अथक प्रयास कर इन चमत्कारों को आत्मसात करने का प्रयास किया है। साथ ही हमने ‘नाविक’ नामक अपना मैप नेविगेशन सिस्टम भी तैयार किया है जिससे भविष्य में हमारी गूगल मैप पर निर्भरता समाप्त होगी।

इसके साथ पिछले साल ही यह ज्ञात हुआ है कि ब्लैक होल के भीतर रोशनी होती है। अमेरिकी और यूरोपीय टेलिस्कोप द्वारा की गई खोज ने दुनिया को यह बताया है कि अंतरिक्ष में ब्लैक होल के आसपास बहुत तेज विकिरण एक्स-रे उत्सर्जन होता है। यह पहली बार है जब किसी ब्लैक होल से प्रकाश की खोज की गई है। इस रिसर्च में यूरोपीय अंतरिक्ष एजेंसी से एक्सएमएम-न्यूटन और नासा से नूस्टार-न्यूक्लियर स्पेक्ट्रोस्कोपिक टेलीस्कोप ऐरे का प्रयोग किया गया था। इस मिशन का नेतृत्व अमेरिका के डैन विल्किंस ने किया।

आज का युग अंतरिक्ष का युग है और वहां की यात्रा पर्यटन का एक नया माध्यम बन चुकी है। पिछले वर्ष ब्रिटेन के रिचर्ड ब्रैनसन ने 71 वर्ष की आयु में अंतरिक्ष की यात्रा की। उनकी कंपनी वर्जिन गैलेटिक्स ने यूनिटी नाम का रॉकेट शटल बनाया जिसमें उन्होंने बाहरी अंतरिक्ष की 85 किलोमीटर यात्रा की।

दूसरी ओर अमेज़न कंपनी के संस्थापक जेफ़ बेजोस ने ब्लू ऑरिजिन कंपनी के स्पेस शटल न्यू शेपर्ड से अपनी अंतरिक्ष यात्रा की थी।

एलन मस्क की कंपनी स्पेस एक्स ने स्टारशिप नाम का विश्व का सबसे बड़ा राकेट बनाया है। 2021 में उनकी कंपनी के जरिए 4 यात्रियों ने अंतरिक्ष की यात्रा की।

कहा जाता है कि आज का युग सूचना और प्रौद्यागिकी का युग है। आज मानव ने दूर-संचार तथा इन्टरनेट को आत्मसात कर लिया इसके साथ ही कंप्यूटर, मोबाइल आज मानव के जीवन का हिस्सा बन गए है। दूर संचार और इन्टरनेट को सुचारू रूप से चलाने के लिए फाइबर ऑप्टिकल नामक नई तकनीक का प्रयोग अब किया जा रहा है।फाइबर-ऑप्टिक संचारण एक प्रणाली है जिसमें सूचनाओं की जानकारी एक स्थान से दूसरे स्थान में ऑप्टिकल फाइबर के माध्यम से प्रकाश बिन्दुओं के रूप में भेजी जाती हैं। प्रकाश एक विद्युत चुम्बकीय तरंग वाहक विकसित करता है जो विधिवत् रूप से जानकारी को साथ ले जाते हैं। 1970 के दशक में इसे सबसे पहले विकसित किया गया, फाइबर-ऑप्टिक संचार प्रणाली ने दूरसंचार उद्योग में क्रांतिकारी परिवर्तन किया है और सूचना युग के आगमन में एक प्रमुख भूमिका निभाई है। विद्युत संचरण पर इसके फायदे के कारण, विकसित दुनिया में कोर नेटवर्क में ताबें की तारों के स्थान पर ऑप्टिकल फाइबर का प्रयोग किया जा रहा है।

शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में विज्ञान का बहुत अधिक महत्व है, आज इस कोरोना काल में विज्ञान के माध्यम से ही छात्र अपनी पढाई को जारी रखने में सक्षम हुए हैं। आज हम लैपटॉप, कंप्यूटर, मोबाइल और इंटरनेट के माध्यम से अपने घर बैठे ही अपने स्कूल की कक्षा ले सकते हैं। इन्टरनेट के माध्यम से वीडियो कॉल के जरिए हम अपनी कक्षा बिना रुके ले सकते हैं। साथ ही दुनिया भर की जानकारी हम मोबाइल पर एक क्लिक करके ही प्राप्त कर सकते हैं।

कंप्यूटर के क्षेत्र में भी सुपर कंप्यूटर की अवधारणा आज के युग में जन्म ले चुकी है। यह विश्व का सबसे तेज़ कंप्यूटर होता है जो डेटा को बहुत तेज़ी से प्रोसेस करता है। यह सामान्य कंप्यूटर की तुलना में बहुत तेज़ी से गणना करता है। सुपर कंप्यूटर की कंप्यूटिंग परफॉरमेंस को MIPS के स्थान पर FLOPS (Floating-point operations per second) में मापा जाता है। विश्व में सबसे तेज़ सुपर कंप्यूटर का नाम ‘फुगाकू’ है जोकि एक जापानी कंप्यूटर है तथा भारत के सबसे तेज़ सुपर कंप्यूटर का नाम ‘परम सिद्धि’ है।

विज्ञान के चमत्कारों ने हमेशा से मानव जीवन को सरल बनाने का प्रयास किया है। यही कारण है कि मानव आज तकनीक पर बहुत निर्भर हो गया है। आज हम घर बैठे-बैठे किसी से भी मोबाइल के माध्यम से बात कर सकते है। कंप्यूटर के माध्यम से हमारा कार्य सरल हो गया है और यातायात के विभिन्न साधनों के माध्यम से हमारी यात्रा सुखद हो गई है। यह विज्ञान के चमत्कार ही है जिनके वजह से मानव ने अपना जीवन सरल बना लिया है।

विज्ञान ने मनोरंजन के क्षेत्र में अद्भुत भूमिका निभाई है। आज विज्ञान के चमत्कारों के कारण ही मानव के पास मनोरंजन के बहुत सारे विकल्प हैं। मोबाइल, टीवी, कंप्यूटर, लैपटॉप, गेम्स आदि कुछ उदाहरण है जिससे मानव अपना मनोरंजन कर सकता है। इसके अलावा फेसबुक, इन्स्टाग्राम, यूट्यूब, टिकटॉक, ट्विटर आदि कुछ ऐसे ऐप हैं जो मानव का मनोरंजन करने में सहायता करते हैं। जुलाई 2023 में मार्क जकरबर्ग ने 'थ्रेड्स' नामक एक नया सोशल मीडिया प्लेटफॉर्म लॉंच किया है, जो विश्व का 24 घंटे के अंदर सबसे ज्यादा डाउनलोड किए जाने वाला एप बन गया है।

मनुष्य ने चिकित्सा के क्षेत्र में भी बहुत से चमत्कार किए हैं। एक समय था जब छोटी-छोटी बीमारियाँ मनुष्य की मृत्यु का कारण बनती थी। परन्तु आज इंसान ने विज्ञान के माध्यम से इस क्षेत्र में बहुत अधिक सफलता प्राप्त की है। यदि पिछले कुछ वर्षो के चिकित्सा के क्षेत्र में नोबल पुरस्कारों की बात करें, तो हमें नए-नए विज्ञान के चमत्कार देखने को मिलते हैं -

2022 का नोबल पुरस्कार भौतिकी मे एलेन एस्पेक्ट, जॉन एफ क्लॉजर और एंटोन जेलिंगर को दिया गया। यह पुरस्कार जटिल फोटॉनों के साथ प्रयोगों, बेल असमानताओं के उल्लंघन की स्थापना और एडवांस क्वांटम सूचना विज्ञान के लिए दिया गया है। रसायन विज्ञान 2022 में नोबेल पुरस्कार संयुक्त रूप से कैरोलिन बर्टोज़ज़ी, मोर्टन मेल्डल और के. बैरी शार्पलेस को "क्लिक केमिस्ट्री और बायोऑर्थोगोनल केमिस्ट्री के विकास के लिए" प्रदान किया गया। फिजियोलॉजी या मेडिसिन 2022 में नोबेल पुरस्कार स्वांटों पाबों को "विलुप्त होमिनिन और मानव विकास के जीनोम से संबंधित उनकी खोजों के लिए" प्रदान किया गया।

2021 का नोबल पुरस्कार अमेरिकी वैज्ञानिक डेविड जूलियस और अर्देम पटापाउटियन को दिया गया। उन्हें तापमान और स्पर्श के लिए रिसेप्टर्स की अपनी खोजों के लिए यह पुरस्कार दिया गया है। यह खोज यह समझने में मदद करेगी कि कैसे गर्मी, ठंड और यांत्रिक बल तंत्रिका आवेगों (nerve impulses ) को शुरू करते हैं जो बदले में मनुष्यों को दुनिया को समझने और अनुकूलित करने की अनुमति देते हैं।

2020 के लिए यह पुरस्कार दो अमेरिकन वैज्ञानिक हार्वे जे ऑल्टर और माइकल हॉफटन व ब्रिटिश वैज्ञानिक चार्ल्स एम राइस को संयुक्त रूप से दिया गया है। उन्हें यह सम्मान हेपेटाइटिस सी वायरस की खोज के लिए दिया किया गया।

इस बीमारी के कारण दुनिया भर में लोगों को सिरोसिस और लीवर कैंसर जैसी गंभीर बीमारी के शिकार हो जाते थे। विश्व स्वास्थ्य संगठन के अनुसार दुनिया भर में हेपेटाइटिस वायरस के करीब 7 करोड़ से अधिक मरीज हैं और इस वायरस के कारण हर साल करीब चार लाख लोग को मौत का सामना करना पड़ता है। हेपेटाइटिस सी वायरस की खोज के बाद खून का परीक्षण और जरूरी दवाइयों का निर्माण संभव हुआ है जिससे कई लोगों की जान बचाई जा सकी है।

2019 का चिकित्सा के क्षेत्र में नोबल पुरस्कार संयुक्त रूप से विलियम जी.कैलिन जूनियर, सर पीटर जे.रेटक्लिफ, ग्रेग एल. सेमेंज़ा को दिया गया। इन तीनों विजेताओं को शरीर की कोशिकाओं में जीवन और ऑक्सीजन को ग्रहण करने की क्षमता के संबंध में महत्वपूर्ण खोज करने के लिए पुरस्कार दिया गया है। इस खोज से यह ज्ञात होगा कि किस तरह ऑक्सिजन के स्तर कोशिकीय चयापचय और शारीरिक कार्यप्रणाली को प्रभावित करते हैं।' इससे अनीमिया, कैंसर आदि जैसे अन्य कई रोगों से लड़ने के लिए नई रणनीतियों का मार्ग प्रशस्त होगा।

कहते हैं ना कि हर सिक्के के दो पहलू होते हैं। ठीक उसी तरह, विज्ञान के चमत्कार का सकारात्मक पक्ष भी है और नकारात्मक भी है। जहाँ विज्ञान ने मानव जाति का जीवन सरल किया है वही इसने मानव के विनाश का मार्ग भी प्रशस्त किया है। मानव ने बड़े-बड़े हथियार बनाए हैं। जिसने हमारी प्रकृति और पर्यावरण को नष्ट करने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई है। हमने बड़े-बड़े एटम बम, हाइड्रोजन बम बनायें है, जिससे मानव जाति के साथ-साथ इस पृथ्वी पर रहने वाले हर जीव का सर्वनाश हो सकता है।

विज्ञान से हमें अनेक लाभ प्राप्त हुए हैं। विज्ञान ने मानव का जीवन पहले के मुक़ाबले बेहद आसान बना दिया है। एक समय था जब मानव का जीवन बहुत कठिन था, परन्तु मानव ने अपने सामने आने वाली कठिनाइयों पर विज्ञान की मदद से विजय प्राप्त की है। मानव ने कष्ट देने वाले रोगों से लेकर विश्व के प्रत्येक जीव को विज्ञान के चमत्कार के माध्यम से नियंत्रण करने का प्रयास किया है। विज्ञान के माध्यम से ही आज हम टेक्नोलॉजी से जुड़ पाए हैं, जिसका उपयोग हम समाज के विकास और आम जन-जीवन को सरल बनाने के लिए करते हैं। आज के दौर में हम जो कुछ भी करते, देखते या सीखते हैं उसमे कहीं न कहीं विज्ञान का योगदान है। बात किसी स्मार्ट गैजेट की हो या फिर या फिर हमारे दैनिक जीवन में उपयोग किए जाने वाले किसी भी वस्तु की हर जगह आप आपने आस पास विज्ञान को पाएंगे।

जिस तरह से किसी भी वस्तु का कोई सकारात्मक पहलु होता है, उसी तरह उसका नकारात्मक पहलु भी होता है। विज्ञान के चमत्कार से जितनी हमारी सुविधाएं बढ़ी हैं, हमारी मुश्किलें भी उतनी ही बढ़ी हैं। विज्ञान का योगदान आज के दौर में इतना अधिक बढ़ गया है कि हम विज्ञान पर ही निर्भर रहते हैं। समाज को नुकसान पहुँचाने के लिए कुछ ऐसे घातक हथियारों का निर्माण हो चूका है जिससे पुरे विश्व को कुछ क्षणों में ही नष्ट किया जा सकता है। साथ ही कुछ ऐसी वस्तुएं भी हैं जिनका हम अपने दैनिक जीवन में निरंतर उपयोग करते हैं जिससे हमारा वातावरण, पर्यावरण और जन-जीवन खतरे के तरफ बढ़ता हुआ नजर आ रहा है।

जैसा कि हम समझ चुके हैं कि विज्ञान ने जहाँ मानव जीवन को सुंदर, सुखद तथा आरामदायक बनाने का काम किया है, वहीं हिरोशिमा और नागासाकी के रूप में इसके विनाश की क्षमता को भी हमने देखा है। महाविनाश के लिए बनाए गए हथियार, जैविक हथियार चुटकियों में विज्ञान के चमत्कारों को मिट्टी में मिलाने में सक्षम है। विज्ञान के चमत्कारों का वास्तविक लाभ तभी मिलेगा जब उनका प्रयोग जगत कल्याण के लिए किया जाए, नहीं तो विज्ञान के अभिशाप की विभीषिका पूरी दुनिया को झेलनी पड़ेगी।

We live in this present age of science and science has created wonders. Science has made us very powerful. Now we can fly like birds in the sky. Now we can swim like fish in the water. Now we can land on the hard surface of the moon. Now we can break the atoms and produce energy. Science has made us the masters of the three worlds of land, water and air.

🔹 Today the findings of science are helping us in every walk of life. Some of them are :-

🔶 (i) In our House-hold Jobs : Science has made our life easy and comfortable. It has given us fans, coolers, heaters, cookers, refrigerators and various kitchen appliances. Now we can do our household jobs quite easily and comfortably.

🔶 (ii) Electricity : Electricity is the most wonderful gift of science. It is our most obedient servant. It lights our houses, roads, streets, hospitals and offices. It also runs our various machines, trains, trams, mills and factories. Now we can not imagine a life without electricity.

🔶 (iii) Means of Transportation : Science has given us wonderful means of transportation. It has given us cars, bikes, trucks, trains, planes and ships. Now we can go to any corner of the world quite easily and comfortably.

🔶 (iv) Means of Communications : Science has given us wonderful means of communications. It has given us telegraph, wireless, radio, land phones and mobile phones. Now we can talk to any person living in any corner quite easily.

The benefits of science do not just limit to one sphere, but it has proven useful in various spheres of the world. When we talk about innovations in science and engineering, electricity is the first thing that comes to mind. It has helped power the world through its development.

That is to say, all the credit goes to science, as it weren’t for science, life in the 21st century would be impossible. After all, it is quite hard to imagine a world without computers, medicines, televisions, AC’s, automobiles and more. In addition, science has contributed largely to the medical field as well.

It has helped cure deadly diseases and also perform surgeries which were hard to perform before. Therefore, science has changed the world in unimaginable ways.

🔶 Disadvantages of Science :- As the saying goes ‘there is no rainbow without rain’, similarly science has drawbacks of its own. One must always remember that anything in excess is poison, and science is no different. If it falls into evil hands, it can cause destruction on massive instance, science is used to create nuclear weapons.

🔶 Curses of Sciences : Science has fed our bodies but starved our souls. Various industries are rapidly increasing air, water, sound and soil pollution. And pollution is slowly poisoning our life.

Science has given dangerous war-weapons like guns, rockets, missiles, tanks and atom bombs. Any misuse of these weapons can destroy Our beautiful world.
