Question: How can I change my name on my certificates?

Answer: If you have already completed your name verification, you can change your name by yourself. Go to settings and click on the "Request Name Change" and change your last name. Check out this help article with more information on verifying your name.

If you have completed the verification process using your ID document, this means you'll need to contact the support team to get the name updated. Please submit a “contact us” form to reach the support team.

Please note that your name will display in all capital letters on certificates.

Question: How can I reactivate my inactive subscription?

Answer: to reactivate your inactive status on coursera,  go to your " my purchases " page, update your payment status and pay again. once you have updated your payment status, you are able to re-enroll and continue your course. , or, if you go to specialization or professional certificate main page and click on the " enroll for free " button it will take you to payment process and you can re-subscribe, but if it's said already purchased and you can't able to reactivate through your purchases page, in which case you should open a graded assignment/quiz page. at the bottom of the page, you’ll see a button that says upgrade to submit. click on “upgrade to submit” and follow the on-screen instructions. once your issue is resolved, continue the course where you left off. the course progress will be saved., question: are courses self-paced can i finish my course faster than the stated time, answer: you can learn at your own pace when you feel free to learn as per your time schedule. you can finish your course faster than the described time as your schedule allows. to complete a course or a specialization depends on how many hours per day or week you dedicate to the course. keep in mind your familiarity with the subject matter will also play a role in how long it takes you to complete the course. some learners are able to finish quicker when they already have familiarity with concepts and terminologies. , question: is there any way to add a course to wishlist, favorites or something like that, answer: the option to save a course for later is available only for learners who are part of a learning program., to save a course for later:.

• Click Save for Later.

  Learners who are enrolled through a sponsored account/learning program will be able to save as many courses as they want. Here's more information about the option.

Question: I didn’t receive my completion badge, what should I do?

• Individual Badges:  Usually Individual course Badges should take up to 48 hours after receiving your Certificate.   If after 48 hours you did not receive the course badge it is best to contact the Customer Support and report the issue. To contact them use the link here.

In this course, you'll learn all about academic essay writing and, specifically, how to write three types of essays: compare/contrast, cause/effect, and argument. To pass this course, you need to pass all four quizzes and pass all three writing assignments. When you finish one activity, you can continue to the next one. Enjoy! Essay Writing In this module, you'll start learning about essay structure and some other important tools for good writing. There's a lot of information in this module, but it's all necessary for writing well. Make sure you take notes so you will remember these tools when you write your essays. Note to learners: this course is designed for learners of English with intermediate English writing skills. The sample essays in this course are aimed at that level. However, the principles discussed in the lessons are practical for writers of any level. If you're at a lower level, do the best you can. If you are a more advanced writer, feel free to write more developed and complex essays than the ones in the examples. Just make sure you follow the structures introduced. Writing Compare/Contrast Essays Now, you're ready to write your first type of academic essay--the compare/contrast essay. In this module, you'll learn what this type of essay is and how to structure it. Then, you'll look at some examples and practice writing your own compare/contrast essay. Remember the sample essays in the lesson are typical for an intermediate-level student. Write a compare/contrast essay that fits your own writing ability. Good luck! Writing Cause/Effect Essays Now, you'll learn about writing the cause/effect essay. This is another type of academic essay that you might be asked to write in your college classes. For this type of essay you'll think about reasons why something happens or the effects of something. The sample essays in this module are also representative of an intermediate-level writer. Write a cause/effect essay appropriate for your own English level. Just remember to follow the advice given in the lessons. Writing Argument Essays In this last module, you'll learn how to write the most common type of college essay. The argument essay is probably the most fun essay to write too. In this one, you will try to convince your reader to believe your argument or position on some controversial topic. You have to think of good reasons to support your position.
