Description

The first Guideline Presentation line came in 2002 and has been a bestseller for many years. Originally designed for trout anglers who like to hang out in smaller rivers or lakes, where stealth, accuracy and presentation is more important than distance casting. Presentation is a great all-round line that is easy to cast and performs very well at distances up to just over 20 metres. When you are casting from tight positions, this line outperforms lines with longer heads. You can carry less line outside the tip and shoot further with a Presentation WF.

Having a major part of the weight in the rear also makes it a perfect line for all kinds of water-born casts like spey and switch casts. Presentation is a fast line due to its short back taper and compressed belly. The long front taper gives a smooth transition of speed into the leader that makes is present beautifully during dry fly fishing with normal or long leaders. In WF #5 and 6 it has enough power to cast heavy nymphs and streamers.

• On this new generation of the line called Presentation+, Guideline have improved the versatility even more by increasing the thickness of the handling- and running lines. This helps to balance the turnover and give the line a more rigid/balanced flight in the air. It also offers you the possibility to work with even more line than the actual head length outside of the rod tip when you cast.
• Presentation+ offers better balance and stability in the loops and you will not get that “hinged” feeling that is common on shorter head lines.
• The length to weight ratio in the head of this line is carefully selected to give the line enough punch and velocity to load the rod nicely and turn over wind resistant flies. This line taper works well on windy days and will be less affected than a longer belly line with its weight distributed over a greater length of the head.
• The short belly offers great ability to perform various presentation casts and speed changes.
• Despite the low line diameter, this line floats well and the slick and supple coating improves casting performance and reduces problems with memory even on cold days.
• Presentation+ WF is built on a braided multifilament core with a little stretch.
• There are small, factory-made welded loops in the front and back end of the line and a laser ID marking near the tip.

The secret of her powerful yet soulful performance lies in the front of the head taper. The slightly increased diameter with a length of 2m gives it an extra portion of power to launch large flies and long leaders. Guideline’s proven Presentation-Front-Taper allows for an accurate and clean line placement due to the well-balanced design of this line. The first generation Presentation WF came in 2002 and has been a bestseller for many years. Originally designed for trout anglers who like to fish small and intimate waters, where careful presentations and discretion are more important than long casts. At the same time, the Presentation WF is a fantastic all-round line that is easy to cast for all users and performs superbly at distances up to roughly 20 meters. When fishing in tight spots with no room for a back cast, this line outperforms other models with longer head . You can carry less line off the tip and shoot further with a Presentation WF.

Having a large proportion of the weight at the back of the head also makes it a perfect line for all types of casts that start from the water, such as spey and switch casts. Presentation is a fast line due to its short back tapering and compressed head . The long front taper gives a smooth transition of speed to the leader which makes it present the fly nicely when dry fly fishing with normal or long leaders . In class #5 and #6 it has enough power to also cast slightly heavier nymphs and streamers.

On this new generation of line called Presentation+, we have improved the versatility even more by increasing the thickness of the action and shooting line. This helps to balance the overroll and give the line a more balanced flight in the air. It also gives you the ability to work with even more line than the actual head length off the tip when casting. Presentation+ provides better balance and stability in the rope bows and you will not get that "hinge effect" that is common on short ropes head .

The head length to weight ratio of this line is carefully chosen to give the line enough power and speed to load the ghost ring well and flip over larger and bushy flies . This lint tape works well on windy days and will be less affected than a longer head with the weight spread over its entire length. The short head one offers great opportunities to perform various presentation throws and speed changes. Despite the low line diameter, this line floats well and the smooth and smooth coating improves performance and reduces memory problems even on cold days.

The line is built around a braided multifilament core with well-balanced longitudinal stretch. There are small, flexible factory-made welded loops in the front and back of the line and a laser ID marking near the tip. Both the carton and the coil are environmentally friendly and recyclable. Asco24 conference preview: lung cancer at the asco annual meeting 2024.

As we approach the kickoff of the 2024 ASCO Annual Meeting, we are taking a look at some of the “can’t miss” sessions, symposiums, presentations and more, specific to lung cancer. This includes Non-Small-Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) and Small-Cell Lung Cancer (SCLC), and both early and metastatic.

Below is a list of some of the “can’t miss” sessions at ASCO 2024 for Lung Cancer, including NSCLC and SCLC. The list is in chronological order for your convenience:

Lung Cancer—Non-Small Cell Metastatic Date: 5/31/24 @ 2:45 PM Location: Arie Crown Theater Type: Oral Abstract Session Presenters summarize their novel research findings and provide background on their methodologies. Discussants analyze the significance of each abstract within the context of current knowledge, highlighting clinical application and implications for future research and practice. Abstract presenters and discussants answer questions during a moderated panel discussion.

New Frontiers in Lung Cancer Treatment: Expanding Options Beyond Chemoimmunotherapy Date: 6/1/24 @ 9:00 AM Location: Arie Crown Theater Type: Education Session This session will explore the benefits of docetaxel following first-line chemoimmunotherapy in patients with non-small cell lung cancer, as well as emerging therapies that may signal an alternative to that approach. Novel cellular therapies, bispecific antibodies, and vaccines will be discussed, and considerations for patients who are older, with poor performance status, or who have had prior immune-related toxicities will be explored.

Targeting KRAS in Non–Small Cell Lung Cancer Date: 6/1/24 @ 1:15 PM Location: Hall B1 Type: Clinical Science Symposium The session will begin with a foundational presentation on the session topic to set the stage for the abstracts to follow. Abstract presenters summarize research findings, while discussants place the abstracts in the appropriate context with a focus on how the findings apply to clinical practice. Abstracts in these sessions may span disease sites or disciplines, but they are unified by their focus on a key scientific topic.

Advanced Lung Cancer: State-of-the-Art Approaches and Insights Date: 6/1/24 @ 3 PM Location: S406 Type: Education Session This session will review current state-of-the-art approaches and recent advances in the care of patients with metastatic small cell and non-small cell lung cancer. Strategies for selecting an appropriate therapy for patients with different disease subtypes will also be discussed.

Lung Cancer—Non-Small Cell Metastatic Date: 6/1/24 @ 4:30 PM Location: S406 Type: Rapid Oral Abstract Presenters give an overview of their novel research and answer questions during a moderated panel discussion.

New Treatment Options for Patients With Oncogene-Addicted Non–Small Cell Lung Cancer Date: 6/2/24 @ 8:00 AM Location: S406 Type: Education Session This session will review current and emerging first-line treatment options for patients with metastatic, EGFR-mutated NSCLC, as well as strategies to overcome resistance to EGFR-directed therapies. Use of tyrosine kinase inhibitors in patients with early-stage lung cancer with EGFR or ALK alterations will also be discussed.

Integrating Immunotherapy Into Early-Stage Lung Cancer Date: 6/2/24 @ 9:45 AM Location: Hall B1 Type: Education Session Indications for the integration of immunotherapy in the treatment of patients with early-stage lung cancer will be evaluated. Optimal sequence of immunotherapy when considering other local therapies will be discussed, along with strategies for choosing among induction, adjuvant, and peri-operative approaches. Designing trials to address unmet needs in this field will also be explored.

Optimizing Treatment of Locally Advanced Non–Small Cell Lung Cancer: A Multimodal Approach in the Immunotherapy Era Date: 6/2/24 @ 11:30 AM Location: Hall D1 Type: Case-Based Panel This session will explore how to choose between a surgical and non-surgical approach for patients with non-oncogene driven locally advanced NSCLC, with consideration of patient- and cancer-related factors. The role of adjuvant therapy will also be addressed, as well as therapeutic options for patients who do not undergo surgery.

Lung Cancer—Non-Small Cell Local-Regional/Small Cell/Other Thoracic Cancers Date: 6/2/24 @ 4:30 PM Location: S406 Type: Rapid Oral Abstract Presenters give an overview of their novel research and answer questions during a moderated panel discussion.

Lung Cancer—Non-Small Cell Local-Regional/Small Cell/Other Thoracic Cancers Date: 6/3/24 @ 8:00 AM Location: Arie Crown Theater Type: Oral Abstract Session Presenters summarize their novel research findings and provide background on their methodologies. Abstract presenters and discussants answer questions during a moderated panel discussion.
