What is a product presentation?
A product presentation is a business slide deck that highlights a product's market, key features, advantages, and unique value proposition. It’s crafted to inform potential customers, investors, or partners—with the goal to inspire action, such as making a purchase or investing in the product.
Why do most product presentations fail?
Before diving into the winning formula, it's crucial to identify the common pitfalls that lead to presentation blunders.
Let’s explore why most product presentations fail and how you can avoid these mistakes to create a show-stopping performance.
1. Overloading with information
Bombarding the audience with excessive details can lead to cognitive overload, making it difficult to retain vital information. Keep your presentation concise and prioritize the most important aspects of your product.
2. Too little information
Clients and investors want to know what your product actually does. They want to know what it looks like, how it behaves, how intuitive or complex it feels, and what real users have to say about it (have them answer product survey questions to get conclusive answers).
Leaving these questions unanswered will reduce your credibility and make your product hard to grasp.
3. Weak visuals
Generic visuals that complement your narrative can detract from your message and make your presentation forgettable.
But contrary to what design studios will tell you, high-quality images, graphics, and videos are not enough to create an engaging experience.
For that you need visuals that show what words can’t tell - show your product in action, how it works, or how it changes lives.
4. No clear call-to-action
Failing to provide a clear next step for the audience can leave them unsure of how to proceed. Wrap up your presentation with a strong and clear call-to-action, guiding your audience toward what you want them to do next.
What are the key elements of successful product presentations?
Ready to dazzle your audience with a truly mesmerizing product presentation? Here are the key elements that can transform a run-of-the-mill presentation into a jaw-dropping, unforgettable experience.
1. Clear objective
Establish a well-defined goal for your presentation, ensuring that every slide, image, graph, and sentence is geared towards achieving it.
This clarity will guide you as a compass when building your product presentation, so that every step in your yellow brick road is essential to get your audience to the wizard. Nothing more, nothing less.
2. Interactive content
Captivate your audience by involving them in the journey with interactive elements like charts or before-and-after slides.
Hook their attention and cater to multiple personas by using segmented content and tabs. Enhance the experience with multimedia, such as videos and GIFs, keeping them engaged and eager to explore your product.
3. Inspirational narrative
A dry, facts-only approach or poor storytelling will bore your audience and make your presentation an instant dud.
But you can pull people in with a story of how your product changes people’s lives in vivid detail (based on your target customer’s pain points, of course). But, ensuring your product lives up to the expectations set in your presentation is essential, and one effective way to maintain its quality is through automated testing .
Inspirational narrative example:
Below is a Storydoc remake of the original Zuora deck which made waves and got the title “ best sales deck ever ” for its outstanding use of inspirational narrative.
Their presentation took readers from the present to a brave future where they were the winners and their competitors the losers.
How to make a product presentation that stands out
Transform your product presentation into a showstopper that wows your audience with these top tips and best practices:
1. Get to know your audience
Craft your presentation to resonate with your target audience. Research their needs, preferences, and pain points, and tailor your content to address these factors. Speak their language, and your presentation will leave a lasting impression.
2. Tell a compelling story
Weave a captivating narrative around your product, taking your audience on an enthralling journey.
Share the inspiration behind the product, its development journey, and the problems it solves. A well-told story will engage your audience emotionally, making your product memorable.
3. Visualize your value
Ditch the text-heavy slides and opt for stunning visuals that illustrate your product's value. Use high-quality images, videos, and infographics to showcase your product's features and benefits. Remember, a picture is worth a thousand words!
4. Emphasize benefits over features
While showcasing your product's features is important, highlighting its benefits is what truly resonates with the audience. Show them how your product improves their lives or solves their problems, and you'll have their undivided attention.
5. Use testimonials and social proof
Incorporate customer testimonials, case studies or success stories to add credibility to your presentation. This social proof will help build trust and convince your audience that your product is the real deal.
6. Keep it simple and focused
Resist the temptation to overload your presentation with information. Keep it streamlined and focused on the most important aspects of your product. Less is more when it comes to capturing and retaining your audience's attention.

What is the difference between a product presentation and a sales deck?
A product presentation is a slide deck showcasing the main features, benefits, and real-world applications of your product in a captivating manner. It’s designed to inform prospects, investors, or partners about new product releases or updates to existing products.
A sales deck, on the other hand, is a persuasive, data-driven pitch that focuses on the unique selling points, pricing, and ROI, with the main goal of turning prospects into paying customers.
How to measure the effectiveness of a product presentation?
To gauge the effectiveness of your product presentation, keep an eye on these key metrics:
Engagement score: This number gives you an overall idea of how captivating your presentation is. The higher the score, the more your audience is interacting with and responding to your content.
Reading time: This metric reveals how much time people spend on your presentation. A longer reading time suggests they're thoroughly digesting the content, while a shorter time may hint that something's amiss.
Reading depth: Dig deeper with reading depth to see how far your audience gets into your presentation. Higher completion rates imply that you've successfully hooked them from start to finish!
Reading completion: This is the ultimate test of your presentation's appeal. A high completion rate indicates that your audience is hungry for more, while a low rate suggests it might be time to reevaluate your content.

It also exemplifies how the product addresses a specific problem or fulfills a particular requirement.
The importance of product presentations cannot be overstated, as they play a vital role in the success of a product launch or marketing campaign. Here are some reasons why product presentations are so important:
- Captures attention: A well-executed product presentation can capture the attention of potential customers and investors, making them more likely to remember your product and consider investing in it.

- Differentiates from competitors: A well-designed presentation can differentiate your product from competitors in the market, highlighting what sets it apart and making it more attractive to potential customers.
Key Elements of a Product Presentation
When it comes to creating a successful new product presentation , there are several vital elements that you should include to ensure your message is clear and compelling. Let’s explore each of these elements in more detail:
Introduction
Your introduction should capture your audience’s attention and give them a reason to listen. Consider starting with a thought-provoking question, a startling statistic, or a personal anecdote related to the problem your product solves.
Company Overview
This is your chance to give your audience background information about your company , including your mission statement, history, and notable achievements. This helps build credibility and establish trust with your audience.
The Problem
Clearly define the problem that your product solves and why it’s crucial. Use real-world examples or statistics to help your audience understand the significance of the problem.
Product and Solution
This is the meat of your presentation, where you introduce your product and explain how it solves the problem you just defined. Use clear, concise language and visuals to demonstrate how your product works.
The Promise of Value or Benefits
Elucidate your product’s advantages and potential to enhance your customer’s life quality. Emphasize the distinctive characteristics that differentiate your product from rivals and justify why it’s a valuable investment.
Product Positioning
Describe the position of your product in the market and its comparison with similar products. Accentuate your unique selling proposition (USP) and justify why your product is the most suitable option for your intended audience.
Use Cases and Social Proof
Use real-world examples and case studies to demonstrate how your product has helped other customers. Incorporate endorsements or evaluations from contented customers to establish social proof and build trust.
Call-to-Action
End your presentation with a clear call to action, such as a website or phone number to contact for more information or to make a purchase. Simplify the process for your audience to proceed to the next step.
By including these key elements in your product presentation design , you’ll be well on your way to creating a compelling message that resonates with your audience. So, take the time to carefully craft each element and watch as your product presentation helps drive success for your business.
The 8 Steps Formula To Craft a Powerful Product Presentation
Are you ready to create a product presentation that genuinely captivates your audience and drives success for your business?
A robust product design presentation requires strategic planning, compelling content, and engaging PowerPoint graphics . In this section, we’ll walk you through the eight steps you must follow to create a presentation that showcases your product in the best possible light.
So, let’s dive in and explore the formula for crafting a robust product design presentation that leaves a lasting impression on your audience.
Start with a captivating introduction
Your introduction is your first impression of your audience , so it’s essential to make it count. Consider starting with a story, a surprising statistic, or a thought-provoking question related to your product.
This will aid in captivating your audience and pique their interest in what you have to communicate. You can also use your introduction to outline the key points you’ll cover in your presentation.
Stay on brand
Consistency is key in branding, and your product presentation should reflect your brand’s personality and values. Employ uniform branding components in your presentation, such as colors, fonts, and logos. This will strengthen your brand identity and render your presentation more memorable.
Leverage a product roadmap
A product roadmap can help you showcase your product’s features and benefits in a clear, organized way. Consider using a timeline template or flowchart to highlight critical milestones and show how your product has evolved.
Write promising content
Your content should focus on your product’s benefits rather than just its features. Use clear, concise language and emphasize the value your product can bring to your customers’ lives.
Clarify how your product resolves an issue or fulfills the necessities of your intended audience. You may also employ storytelling techniques to render your content more relatable and captivating.
Use engaging visuals
Visuals are a vital component of any product launch presentation . Utilize top-notch images, videos, and graphics to illustrate your ideas and maintain your audience’s interest.
Ensure your visuals are relevant to your content and support your key messages. In addition, you may use visual aids to separate the text and enhance the visual appeal of your presentation.
Showcase a demo
A live product demo can be a powerful way to showcase your product’s capabilities and build excitement. Consider showing your product in action to help your audience visualize how it works. Keep your demo concise and focused on the key features and benefits.
Share success stories
Use case studies or testimonials from satisfied customers to build social proof and establish credibility. This can assist in persuading your audience that your product is a valuable investment.
Use real examples relevant to your target audience and explain how your product helped solve a problem or achieve a goal.
End in an actionable way
Conclude your presentation with a distinct call to action, such as a website or phone number for further details or to make a purchase. Facilitate your audience in proceeding to the next step and converting them into customers.
You can also use your call to action to reinforce the key benefits of your product and remind your audience why they should choose your product over the competition.

Common mistakes to avoid while delivering a product presentation
Delivering a product presentation can be daunting, but it’s also a chance to exhibit your product and convince prospective customers to invest in it. However, several common mistakes can detract from the effectiveness of your presentation.
From failing to define your presentation goal to not scoping out the presentation venue ahead of time, we’ll cover everything you need to know to deliver a successful product presentation.
Not defining your presentation goal
One of the most prominent mistakes presenters make is not clearly defining the goal of their presentation. Before commencing the creation of your presentation, take some time to ponder on what you aim to accomplish.
Are you trying to persuade investors to fund your product?
Are you showcasing new features to existing customers?
Knowing your goal will help you structure your presentation and focus on the most critical points.
Not preparing enough for the presentation
A lack of preparation can lead to a lackluster presentation. Ensure you allocate ample time to prepare your content and practice your delivery . Practicing your presentation can also assist you in recognizing areas where modifications are required.
Not knowing who your audience is
Understanding your audience is critical to delivering an effective product launch presentation . Make sure you tailor your presentation to the interests and needs of your audience. Researching your audience beforehand can also help you anticipate their questions and concerns.
Not checking if the presentation file is working
Technical difficulties can be a significant distraction during a presentation. Make sure to test your presentation file on the equipment you’ll be using ahead of time to avoid any surprises.
Not scoping out the presentation venue ahead of time
Arriving at the presentation venue without knowing what to expect can add unnecessary stress to your presentation. Visit the venue beforehand to familiarize yourself with the space and equipment.
Too many animations
Although animations can enhance the visual appeal of your presentation, excessively using them can be disruptive. Ensure your animations are relevant to your content and don’t detract from your message. Remember that simplicity and clarity are vital to delivering an effective product presentation.
Wrapping It Up
A product presentation can make or break the success of your product launch. By implementing the key elements we discussed earlier and avoiding common mistakes, you can create a powerful presentation that will wow your audience and leaves a lasting impression.

A product presentation is a presentation you use to introduce your company’s new or renovated product, or a newly developed feature, for people to get to know more about it.
In this type of presentation , you’ll take your audience through what it is, how it works, and how it helps solve their problems.
For example, the Tinder pitch deck and Tesla’s Roadster launch are both fascinating product presentations used in different ways. The former presented their product idea and the latter unveiled their final product .
So, who will you present for? As you can do this kind of presentation at different stages while developing your product, there are some common groups of audience:
- Board of directors, shareholders/investors – To this group, typically you’ll pitch a new idea to ask for approval before the whole team starts working on it.
- Colleagues – You can show a trial or beta version of the new product to other members of your company and collect their feedback .
- The public, potential & current customers – This can be a product launch, which shows your target audience everything they need to know about the product.
The person in charge of presenting is actually quite flexible and not necessarily the same one or role in every situation. That could be a product manager, a business analyst, a sales/customer success manager or even the CEO. At times, more than one person can be hosting this product presentation.
Why Is Product Presentation Examples Important?
A product presentation gives your audience a closer look at and deeper understanding of the product, how it works and what values it can bring. Here are some more benefits that this presentation can offer you:
- Raise awareness and grab more attention – By hosting an event like this, more people will know about your company and product. For example, Adobe hosts MAX (a creativity conference to announce innovations) in the same format every year, which helps to build the hype around their products.
- Stand out in the cutthroat market – Having great products isn’t enough as your company is in a tight race against other competitors. A product presentation helps set you apart from them.
- Leave a deeper impression on your potential customers – Give them another reason to remember your product. Maybe when they’re on the go and see something similar to what you’ve presented, it would ring a bell for them.
- A source for external PR – Ever noticed how Moz dominates the media coverage after their annual professional ‘marketing camp’ MozCon? CEO at the WhenIPost guest posting agency says: “You can get the source of external PR (but to a lesser extent, of course) by building better relationships with the press, your potential and current customers as well as other stakeholders.”
- Boost sales and revenue – When more people have the chance to know about your products, it can bring you more customers, which also means more revenue.
9 Things in a Product Presentation Outline
To put it simply, a product presentation often involves a talk and slideshows (with visual aids like videos and images) to describe the features, benefits, market fit, and other relevant details of your product.
Let’s take a quick tour of a typical product presentation 👇
- Introduction
- Company Information
- Product Information
- Benefits of the Product
- Positioning Map
- Examples and Testimonials
- Call to Action
#1 – Introduction
An introduction is the first impression people have of your product presentation, that’s why you should start strong and show people what they can expect to hear.
It’s never easy to blow the audience’s mind with an introduction ( but you still can) . So at least, try to get the ball rolling with something clear and simple, like introducing yourself in a friendly, natural and personal way ( here’s how ). A great start can boost your confidence to nail the rest of your presentation.
If you want to make this product presentation super-duper clear, you can give your audience a preview of what they’re going to see. This way, they will know how to follow better and not miss any important points.
#3 – Company Information
Again, you don’t need this part in every one of your product presentations, but it’s best to give the newcomers an overview of your company. This is so they can know a bit about your team, the field your company is working in or your mission before digging deeper into the product.
#4 – Product Introduction
The star of the show is here 🌟 It’s the main and most important section of your product presentation. In this part, you need to present and highlight your product in a way that wows the whole crowd.
There are many approaches when it comes to introducing your product to the crowd, but one of the most common and effective is the problem-solution method .
As your team has invested massive amounts of time in developing your product to meet the market’s demands, it’s essential to prove to your audience that this product can solve their problems.
Do some research, discover your customers’ pain points, list out some potential consequences and here comes a hero to the rescue 🦸 Emphasise that your product can do wonders for the situation and make it shine bright like a diamond, just like how Tinder did in their pitch deck many years ago.
You might give other approaches a try when presenting your product. Talking about its strengths and opportunities, which can be taken out from the familiar SWOT analysis , probably works well too.
Or you can answer the 5W1H questions to tell your customers all the basics of it. Try using a starbursting diagram , an illustration of these questions, to help you delve more deeply into your product.
#5 – Benefits of the Product
What else can your product do, aside from solving that particular problem?
What values can it bring to your customers and the community?
Is it a game-changer?
How is it different from other decent similar products on the market?
After grabbing the audience’s attention on your product, poke into all the good things that it can bring about. It’s also vital to spotlight your product’s unique selling point to distinguish it from others. Your potential customers can then have a deeper understanding of what it can do for them and why they should use this product.

#6 – Positioning Map
A positioning map, which tells people the position of your product or service in the market compared to competitors, can help your company stand out in a product pitch. It also acts as a takeaway after laying out all the descriptions and benefits of your product and saves people from getting lost in loads of information.
If a positioning map doesn’t fit your product, you can choose to present a perceptual map, which illustrates how the consumers perceive your product or service.
In both of these maps, your brand or product is rated based on 2 criteria (or variables). It can be quality, price, features, safety, reliability and so on, depending on the type of product and the field it’s in.
#7 – Real-Life Product launch Presentation Examples and Testimonials
Everything you’ve said to your audience so far can sound like theories that go in one ear and out the other. That’s why there should always be a section of examples and testimonials to put the product in its real setting and etch it into the memories of your audience.
And if possible, let them see it in person or interact with the new product right away; it’ll leave a lasting impression on them. To make it more engaging, you should use more visuals on your slides during this phase, such as pictures or videos of people using, reviewing the product or mentioning it on social media.
✅ We have some real-life examples for you too!
#8 – Call to Action
Your call to action is something you say to encourage people to do something . It actually depends on who your audience is and what you want to achieve. Not everyone writes it on their face or says something directly like ‘ you should use it ’ to persuade people to purchase their product, right?
Of course, it’s still crucial to tell people what you expect them to do in a few short sentences.
#9 – Conclusion
Don’t let all your effort from the beginning stop in the middle of nowhere. Reinforce your key points and end your product presentation with a quick recap or something memorable (in a positive way).
Quite a huge load of work. 😵 Sit tight; we’ll walk you through everything in the simplest way possible to get you prepared.
6 Steps to Host a Product Presentation
Now you get what should be included in your product presentation, it’s time to start making one. But from where? Should you jump right into the first part of the stuff we outlined above?
The outline is a roadmap for what you will say, not what you will do to prepare. When there are a lot of things that need to be done, it can easily get you into a mess. So, check out this step-by-step guide to keep yourself from feeling overwhelmed!
- Set your goals
- Define audience needs
- Make an outline & prepare your content
- Choose a presenting tool & design your presentation
- Anticipate questions & prepare the answers
- Practice, practice, practice
#1 – Set your goals
You can define your goals based on who your audience members are and the purposes of your product presentation. These two factors also are your background to establish the style you’re going for and the way you present everything.
To make your goals more clear and achievable, set them based on the SMART diagram.
For example , at AhaSlides, we have product presentations among our big team quite often. Let’s imagine we’re having another one real soon and we need to set a SMART goal.
Here’s Chloe, our Business Analyst 👩💻 She wants to announce a recently developed feature to her colleagues.
Her audience is made up of colleagues who don’t directly build the product, like the ones from the marketing and customer success teams. This means that they’re not experts in data, coding or software engineering, etc.
You might think of a general goal, such as ‘everyone understands thoroughly about the developed feature’. But this is pretty vague and ambiguous, right?
Here’s the SMART goal for this product presentation:
- S (Specific) – State what you want to achieve and how to do so in a clear and detailed way.
🎯 Ensure that marketing & CS team members understand the feature and its values by giving them a clear introduction, a step-by-step guide and data charts.
- M (Measurable) – You need to know how to measure your goals afterwards. Numbers, figures or data can be of great help here.
🎯 Ensure that 100% of marketing & CS team members understand the feature and its values by giving them a clear introduction, a step-by-step guide and the key results of 3 important data charts (i.e. conversion rate, activation rate & daily active user).
- A (Attainable) – Your goal can be challenging, but don’t make it impossible. It should encourage you and your team to try and achieve the goal, not put it totally out of reach.
🎯 Ensure that at least 80% of marketing & CS team members understand the feature and its values by giving them a clear introduction, a step-by-step guide and the key results of 3 important data charts.
- R (Relevant) – Have a look at the big picture and check whether what you’re planning on doing will hit your goals directly. Try to answer why you need these goals (or even the 5 whys ) to ensure everything is as relevant as possible.
🎯 Ensure that at least 80% of marketing & CS team members understand the feature and its values by giving them a clear introduction, a step-by-step guide and the key results of 3 important data charts. Because when these members know the feature well, they can make proper social media announcements and assist our customers better, which helps us build stronger relationships with customers.
- T (Time-bound) – There should be a deadline or a time frame to keep track of everything (and steer clear of any tiny bit of procrastination). When you finish this step, you’ll have the ultimate goal:
🎯 Ensure that at least 80% of marketing & CS team members understand the feature and its values before the end of this week by giving them a clear introduction, a step-by-step guide and the key results of 3 important data charts. This way, they can further work with our customers and maintain customer loyalty.
A goal can get quite big and sometimes make you feel too much. Remember, you don’t have to write down every part of your goal down; try and write it into one sentence and keep the remainder of it in mind.
You can also consider chunking down a long goal into smaller objectives to do one by one.

#2 – Define audience needs
If you want your audience to stay focused and engaged in your presentation, you need to give them what they want to hear. Think about their expectations, what they need to know and what can keep them following your talk.
First thing first, you should discover their pain points via data, social media, research or any other reliable sources to have a solid background on the things you definitely need to mention in your product presentation.
In this step, you should sit down with your team and work together (maybe try a session with right brainstorm tool ) to develop more ideas. Even though only a few people will be presenting the product, all the team members will still prepare everything together and will need to be on the same page.
There are some questions you can ask to understand their needs:
- What are they like?
- Why are they here?
- What keeps them up at night?
- How can you solve their problems?
- What do you want them to do?
- See more questions here .
#3 – Make an outline & prepare your content
When you know what you should say, it’s time to draft the main points to have everything in hand. A careful and coherent outline helps you stay on track and avoid overlooking anything or going too deep into a particular part. With this, you can have better flow and a good sense of time management, which also means fewer chances to go off-topic or deliver a wordy, rambling speech.
After finishing your outline, go through each point and decide exactly what you want to show your audience in that section, including images, videos, props or even sounding and lighting arrangements, and prepare them. Make a checklist to ensure that you and your team won’t forget anything.
#4 – Choose a presenting tool & design your presentation
Talking is not enough on its own, especially in a product presentation. That’s why you should give the audience something to look at, and maybe interact with, in order to liven up the room.
With slide decks, it’s not that easy to create something aesthetically pleasing or to create content that is interactive for your audience. Many online tools offer you some help with the heavy lifting of making, designing and customising an appealing presentation.
You can have a look at AhaSlides to create a more creative product presentation compared to using traditional PowerPoint. Besides slides with your content, you can try adding interactive activities that your audience can join easily with just their phones. They can submit their responses to random team generator , live word clouds , online quiz , polls , brainstorming sessions, Q&As tool , spinner wheel and more.

#5 – Anticipate questions & prepare the answers
Your participants, or maybe the press, can ask some questions during your Q&A session (if you have one) or sometime after that. It would be really awkward if you couldn’t answer all questions related to the product that you’ve created, so try your best to avoid that situation.
It’s a good practice to put yourself in the audience’s shoes and look at everything from their perspective. The whole team can imagine being the audience members in that pitch and predicting what the crowd will ask, and then finding the best way to answer those questions.

#6 – Practice, practice, practice
The old saying still rings true: practice makes perfect. Practice speaking and rehearse a few times before the event takes place to make sure that your presentation is smooth.
You can ask a few colleagues to be your first audience and collect their feedback to revise your content and polish your presentation skills. Remember to have at least one rehearsal with all your slideshows, effects, lighting and sound system too.
5 Product Presentation Examples
Many giant companies have delivered great product presentations throughout the years. Here are some great real-life success stories and the tips we can learn from them.
#1 – Samsung & the way they started the presentation
Imagine sitting in a dark room, staring at the space in front of your eyes and boom! The light, the sounds, and the visuals hit all your senses directly. It’s loud, it’s eye-catching, and it’s satisfying. That is how Samsung made great use of video and visual effects to begin their Galaxy Note8 product presentation.
Alongside videos, there are many ways to start , like asking an intriguing question, telling a compelling story or using performance. If you can’t come up with any of these, don’t try too hard, just keep it short and sweet.
Takeaway: Start your presentation on a high note.
#2 – Tinder & how they laid out problems
As you’re presenting your product to ‘sell’ them to a cohort of people, it’s important to find out the thorns in their side.
Tinder, with their first pitch deck back in 2012 under the very first name Match Box, successfully pointed out a big pain point for their potential customers. Then they pledged that they could provide the perfect solution. It’s simple, impressive and can’t be any more entertaining.
Takeaway: Find the true problem, be the best solution and drive your points home!
#3 – Airbnb & how they let the numbers speak
Airbnb also used the problem-solution tactic in the pitch deck that granted this start-up a $600,000 investment a year after it first launched. A significant thing that you can notice is they used quite a lot of numbers in their presentation. They brought to the table a pitch that investors couldn’t say no to, in which they let their data gain trust from the audience.
Takeaway: Remember to include data and make it big & bold.
#4 – Tesla & their Roadster appearance
Elon Musk might not be one of the best presenters out there, but he definitely knew how to wow the whole world and his audience during Tesla’s product presentation.
At the Roadster launch event, after a few seconds of impressive visuals and sounds, this new classy electric car appeared in style and took the stage to cheers from the crowd. There was nothing else on stage (except for Musk) and all eyes were on the new Roadster.
Takeaway: Give your product a lot of spotlights ( literally ) and make good use of effects.
#5 – Apple & the tagline for Macbook Air presentation in 2008
There’s something in the Air.
This was the first thing Steve Jobs said at MacWorld 2008. That simple sentence hinted at the Macbook Air and immediately caught everyone’s attention.
Having a tagline reminds people of your product’s characteristics. You can say that tagline right at the beginning like Steve Jobs did, or let it appear a few times throughout the event.
Takeaway: Find a tagline or slogan that represents your brand and product.
Other Product Presentation Tips
🎨 Stick to one slide theme – Make your slides uniform and follow your brand guidelines. It’s a good way to promote your company’s branding.
😵 Don’t cram too much information on your slides – Keep things neat and clean, and don’t put walls of text on your slide. You can try the 10/20/30 rule : have a maximum of 10 slides; maximum length of 20 minutes; have a minimum font size of 30.
🌟 Know your style and delivery – Your style, body language and tone of voice matter greatly. Steve Jobs and Tim Cook had different styles on stage, but they all nailed their Apple product presentations. Be yourself, everyone else is already taken!
🌷 Add more visual aids – Some pictures, videos or gifs can help you grab people’s attention. Make sure that your slides also focus on the visuals, rather than overfilling them with text and data.
📱 Make it interactive – 68% of people said they remember interactive presentations longer. Engage with your audience and turn your presentation into a two-way conversation. Using an online tool with exciting interactivities could be another great idea to get your crowd pumped up.

7 Amazing Sales Presentation Examples (And How to Make Them Your Own)
7 Types of Slides to Include In Your Sales Presentation
Inside the mind of your prospect: change is hard, before-after-bridge: the only formula you need to create a persuasive sales presentation, facebook — how smiles and simplicity make you more memorable, contently — how to build a strong bridge, brick by brick, yesware — how to go above and beyond with your benefits, uber — how to cater your content for readers quick to scan, dealtap — how to use leading questions to your advantage, zuora — how to win over your prospects by feeding them dots, linkedin sales navigator — how to create excitement with color, how to make a sales pitch in 4 straightforward steps, 7 embarrassing pitfalls to avoid in your presentation, over to you.
A brilliant sales presentation has a number of things going for it.
Being product-centered isn’t one of them. Or simply focusing on your sales pitch won’t do the trick.
So what can you do to make your offer compelling?
From different types of slides to persuasive techniques and visuals, we’ve got you covered.
Below, we look at data-backed strategies, examples, and easy steps to build your own sales presentations in minutes.
- Title slide: Company name, topic, tagline
- The “Before” picture: No more than three slides with relevant statistics and graphics.
- The “After” picture: How life looks with your product. Use happy faces.
- Company introduction: Who you are and what you do (as it applies to them).
- The “Bridge” slide: Short outcome statements with icons in circles.
- Social proof slides: Customer logos with the mission statement on one slide. Pull quote on another.
- “We’re here for you” slide: Include a call-to-action and contact information.
Many sales presentations fall flat because they ignore this universal psychological bias: People overvalue the benefits of what they have over what they’re missing.
Harvard Business School professor John T. Gourville calls this the “ 9x Effect .” Left unchecked, it can be disastrous for your business.
According to Gourville, “It’s not enough for a new product simply to be better. Unless the gains far outweigh the losses, customers will not adopt it.”
The good news: You can influence how prospects perceive these gains and losses. One of the best ways to prove value is to contrast life before and after your product.
Luckily, there’s a three-step formula for that.
- Before → Here’s your world…
- After → Imagine what it would be like if…
- Bridge → Here’s how to get there.
Start with a vivid description of the pain, present an enviable world where that problem doesn’t exist, then explain how to get there using your tool.
It’s super simple, and it works for cold emails , drip campaigns , and sales discovery decks. Basically anywhere you need to get people excited about what you have to say.
In fact, a lot of companies are already using this formula to great success. The methods used in the sales presentation examples below will help you do the same.
We’re all drawn to happiness. A study at Harvard tells us that emotion is contagious .
You’ll notice that the “Before” (pre-Digital Age) pictures in Facebook’s slides all display neutral faces. But the cover slide that introduces Facebook and the “After” slides have smiling faces on them.
This is important. The placement of those graphics is an intentional persuasion technique.
Studies by psychologists show that we register smiles faster than any other expression. All it takes is 500 milliseconds (1/20th of a second). And when participants in a study were asked to recall expressions, they consistently remembered happy faces over neutral ones.
What to do about it : Add a happy stock photo to your intro and “After” slides, and keep people in “Before” slides to neutral expressions.
Here are some further techniques used during the sales presentation:
Tactic #1: Use Simple Graphics
Use simple graphics to convey meaning without text.
Example: Slide 2 is a picture of a consumer’s hand holding an iPhone — something we can all relate to.
Why It Works: Pictures are more effective than words — it’s called Picture Superiority . In presentations, pictures help you create connections with your audience. Instead of spoon-feeding them everything word for word, you let them interpret. This builds trust.
Tactic #2: Use Icons
Use icons to show statistics you’re comparing instead of listing them out.
Example: Slide 18 uses people icons to emphasize how small 38 out of 100 people is compared to 89 out of 100.
Why It Works: We process visuals 60,000 times faster than text.
Tactic #3: Include Statistics
Include statistics that tie real success to the benefits you mention.
Example: “71% lift driving visits to retailer title pages” (Slide 26).
Why It Works: Precise details prove that you are telling the truth.
Just like how you can’t drive from Marin County to San Francisco without the Golden Gate, you can’t connect a “Before” to an “After” without a bridge.
Add the mission statement of your company — something Contently does from Slide 1 of their deck. Having a logo-filled Customers slide isn’t unusual for sales presentations, but Contently goes one step further by showing you exactly what they do for these companies.
They then drive home the Before-After-Bridge Formula further with case studies:
Before : Customer’s needs when they came on
After: What your company accomplished for them
Bridge : How they got there (specific actions and outcomes)
Here are some other tactics we pulled from the sales presentation:
Tactic #1: Use Graphics/Diagrams
Use graphics, Venn diagrams, and/or equations to drive home your “Before” picture.
Why It Works: According to a Cornell study , graphs and equations have persuasive power. They “signal a scientific basis for claims, which grants them greater credibility.”
Tactic #2: Keep Slides That Have Bullets to a Minimum
Keep slides that have bullets to a minimum. No more than one in every five slides.
Why It Works: According to an experiment by the International Journal of Business Communication , “Subjects exposed to a graphic representation paid significantly more attention to , agreed more with, and better recalled the strategy than did subjects who saw a (textually identical) bulleted list.”
Tactic #3: Use Visual Examples
Follow up your descriptions with visual examples.
Example: After stating “15000+ vetted, ready to work journalists searchable by location, topical experience, and social media influence” on Slide 8, Contently shows what this looks like firsthand on slides 9 and 10.
Why It Works: The same reason why prospects clamor for demos and car buyers ask for test drives. You’re never truly convinced until you see something for yourself.
Which is more effective for you?
This statement — “On average, Yesware customers save ten hours per week” — or this image:
The graphic shows you what that 10 hours looks like for prospects vs. customers. It also calls out a pain that the product removes: data entry.
Visuals are more effective every time. They fuel retention of a presentation from 10% to 65% .
But it’s not as easy as just including a graphic. You need to keep the design clean.
Can you feel it?
Clutter provokes anxiety and stress because it bombards our minds with excessive visual stimuli, causing our senses to work overtime on stimuli that aren’t important.
Here’s a tip from Yesware’s Graphic Designer, Ginelle DeAntonis:
“Customer logos won’t all necessarily have the same dimensions, but keep them the same size visually so that they all have the same importance. You should also disperse colors throughout, so that you don’t for example end up with a bunch of blue logos next to each other. Organize them in a way that’s easy for the eye, because in the end it’s a lot of information at once.”
Here are more tactics to inspire sales presentation ideas:
Tactic #1: Personalize Your Final Slide
Personalize your final slide with your contact information and a headline that drives emotion.
Example: Our Mid-Market Team Lead Kyle includes his phone number and email address with “We’re Here For You”
Why It Works: These small details show your audience that:
- This is about giving them the end picture, not making a sale
- The end of the presentation doesn’t mean the end of the conversation
- Questions are welcomed
Tactic #2: Pair Outcome Statements With Icons in Circles
Example: Slide 4 does this with seven different “After” outcomes.
Why It Works: We already know why pictures work, but circles have power , too. They imply completeness, infiniteness, and harmony.
Tactic #3: Include Specific Success Metrics
Don’t just list who you work with; include specific success metrics that hit home what you’ve done for them.
Example: 35% New Business Growth for Boomtrain; 30% Higher Reply Rates for Dyn.
Why It Works: Social proof drives action. It’s why we wait in lines at restaurants and put ourselves on waitlists for sold-out items.
People can only focus for eight seconds at a time. (Sadly, goldfish have one second on us.)
This means you need to cut to the chase fast.
Uber’s headlines in Slides 2-9 tailor the “After” picture to specific pain points. As a result, there’s no need to explicitly state a “Before.”
Slides 11-13 then continue touching on “Before” problems tangentially with customer quotes:
So instead of self-touting benefits, the brand steps aside to let consumers hear from their peers — something that sways 92% of consumers .
Leading questions may be banned from the courtroom, but they aren’t in the boardroom.
DealTap’s slides ask viewers to choose between two scenarios over and over. Each has an obvious winner:
Ever heard of the Focusing Effect?
It’s part of what makes us tick as humans and what makes this design move effective. We focus on one thing and then ignore the rest. Here, DealTap puts the magnifying glass on paperwork vs. automated transactions.
Easy choice.
Sure, DealTap’s platform might have complexities that rival paperwork, but we don’t think about that. We’re looking at the pile of work one the left and the simpler, single interface on the right.
Here are some other tactics to use in your own sales presentation:
Tactic #1: Tell a Story
Tell a story that flows from one slide to the next.
Example: Here’s the story DealTap tells from slides 4 to 8: “Transactions are complicated” → “Expectations on all sides” → “Too many disconnected tools” → “Slow and error prone process” → “However, there’s an opportunity.
Why It Works: Storytelling in sales with a clear beginning and end (or in this case, a “Before” and “After”) trigger a trust hormone called Oxytocin.
Tactic #2: This vs. That
If it’s hard to separate out one “Before” and “After” vision with your product or service because you offer many dissimilar benefits, consider a “This vs. That” theme for each.
Why It Works: It breaks up your points into simple decisions and sets you up to win emotional reactions from your audience with stock photos.
Remember how satisfying it was to play connect the dots? Forming a bigger picture out of disconnected circles.
That’s what you need to make your audience do.
Zuora tells a story by:
- Laying out the reality (the “Before” part of the Before-After-Bridge formula).
- Asking you a question that you want to answer (the “After”)
- Giving you hints to help you connect the dots
- Showing you the common thread (the “Bridge”)
You can achieve this by founding your sales presentation on your audience’s intuitions. Set them up with the closely-set “dots,” then let them make the connection.
Here are more tactical sales presentation ideas to steal for your own use:
Tactic #1: Use Logos and Testimonials
Use logos and testimonial pull-quotes for your highest-profile customers to strengthen your sales presentation.
Example: Slides 21 to 23 include customer quotes from Schneider Electric, Financial Times, and Box.
Why It Works: It’s called social proof . Prospects value other people’s opinions and trust reputable sources more than you.
Tactic #2: Include White Space
Pad your images with white space.
Example: Slide 17 includes two simple graphics on a white background to drive home an important concept.
Why It Works: White space creates separation, balance, and attracts the audience’s eyes to the main focus: your image.
Tactic #3: Incorporate Hard Data
Incorporate hard data with a memorable background to make your data stand out.
Example: Slide 5 includes statistics with a backdrop that stands out. The number and exciting title (‘A Global Phenomenon’) are the main focuses of the slide.
Why It Works: Vivid backdrops are proven to be memorable and help your audience take away important numbers or data.
Psychology tells us that seeing colors can set our mood .
The color red is proven to increase the pulse and heart rate. Beyond that, it’s associated with being active, aggressive, and outspoken. LinkedIn Sales Navigator uses red on slides to draw attention to main points:
You can use hues in your own slides to guide your audience’s emotions. Green gives peace; grey adds a sense of calm; blue breeds trust. See more here .
Tip: You can grab free photos from Creative Commons and then set them to black & white and add a colored filter on top using a (also free) tool like Canva . Here’s the sizing for your image:
Caveat: Check with your marketing team first to see if you have a specific color palette or brand guidelines to follow.
Here are some other takeaways from LinkedIn’s sales presentation:
Tactic #1: Include a CTA on Final Slide
Include one clear call-to-action on your final slide.
Example: Slide 9 has a “Learn More” CTA button.
Why It Works: According to the Paradox of Choice , the more options you give, the less likely they are to act.
Step One : Ask marketing for your company’s style guide (color, logo, and font style).
Step Two: Answer these questions to outline the “Before → After → Bridge” formula for your sales pitch :
- What are your ICP’s pain points?
- What end picture resonates with them?
- How does your company come into play?
Step Three: Ask account management/marketing which customers you can mention in your slides (plus where to access any case studies for pull quotes).
Step Four: Download photos from Creative Commons . Remember: Graphics > Text. Use Canva to edit on your own — free and fast.

10 Best Sales Presentations To Inspire Your Sales Deck [+ 5 Tips]
Published: August 17, 2022
While many salespeople focus on making their sales decks flashy, fun, and exciting, they do little to ensure that their presentations address the prospect's top concerns and offer an irresistible solution.
As a result, many presentations are met with wishy-washy responses that drag along the sales process and waste valuable time.
What does a great sales deck look like? We'll take a look at some of the best, and provide tips for creating your own stellar sales deck and presentation.
What is a sales deck?
A sales deck is a slide presentation (e.g., PowerPoint, Keynote, etc.) used to supplement a sales pitch. The sales pitch, given by a salesperson to a prospect, often includes an overview of the product or service, offers a value proposition and solution for the prospect, and includes examples of success stories from other clients.
The primary purpose of a sales deck and presentation is to introduce a solution (ie, your pitch ) that ultimately leads the prospect to purchase from your company.
If you've done everything right during the discovery process — digging deep into your prospect's challenges and understanding exactly what they need — only to get a noncommittal response, then your presentation needs some major adjusting.

Sales Deck vs Pitch Deck
A sales deck is a pitch meant to convince a prospect to make a purchase by showcasing your product features, benefits, and value proposition.
A pitch deck , on the other hand, is usually created for investors who want to learn more about your company, vision, products, financials, and target audience. Think of the pitch deck more like a synthesized version of your business plan.
Ready to see some sales deck examples? Here are a few of the best, in no particular order.
Sales Deck Examples
- UpstartWorks
- Attention Media
- Leadgeeks.io
1. Leadnomics Sales Deck by Katya Kovalenko
Leadnomics has done something few companies successfully do in presentations: Showcase their brand identity.
The internet marketing agency hired a designer to create a sales deck that reflected their sleek, techie brand.
So while prospects learn about Leadnomics and what it offers, they can also get a peek into what it represents as a brand.
2. UpstartWorks Sales Deck by BrightCarbon
This slide deck for UpstartWorks starts with an image of the road to success, followed by a value proposition and a list of benefits buyers can enjoy from working with the company. They provide an overview of what they deliver to customers, who their clients are, and the results their customer base has seen.
The sales deck touches on all the key points a sales presentation should cover. And when it includes graphics and logos, they are clearly organized and not cluttered.
3. QS Sales Deck by BrightCarbon
QS , a platform that ranks colleges and universities, effectively uses icons and visuals throughout its sales deck to communicate its messages. At just a few slides, this is one of the shortest sales decks featured on this list.
If you’re going to make your sales deck short, make sure the information you include gets straight to the point, and be sure to front-load the most important information.
In terms of content, QS showcases its features, value proposition, and client impact.
4. Attention Media Sales Deck by Slides
Attention Media , a B2B creative agency, hired a presentation design agency to create a sales deck that features statistics and reasons businesses should work with them.
Key figures and messages are either in a bold, large, or bright font to make them stand out from the rest of the text.
While their slide deck is on the shorter side (the typical presentation is around 10 to 15 slides ), they include intriguing visuals and statistics that grab attention and keep viewers interested.
5. Freshworks Sales Deck by BrightCarbon
Freshworks is a B2B software platform that promises an all-in-one package for businesses. Its sales deck emphasizes simple text and organization. The problem and solution are introduced using graphics, which makes the text easier for readers to prioritize.
They include a dedicated slide to their mobile app, one of the product’s key differentiators and most salient benefits. The following slides provide a step-by-step walkthrough of how customers are onboarded and what they can expect on a regular basis.
Since the slides aren’t text-heavy, the salesperson can easily elaborate and answer any questions the prospect might have.
6. Soraa Sales Deck by BrightCarbon
Soraa , a lighting company, starts its sales deck with a visually appealing table of contents that contains three items: “Quality of light,” “Simply perfect light,” and “Why Soraa?”
The brand then dives into what its prospects care about most: How the light will look in their spaces and how they can apply Soraa’s offerings to their specific use case. It sprinkles in the benefits of using Soraaa as a lighting supplier. And it does this all while maintaining its strong branding.
7. Planetly Sales Deck by OCHI Design
The first thing Planetly does in its sales presentation is present an eye-catching statistic about customers wanting more eco-friendly brands. Then, they present the reasons behind that data.
The deck doesn't overwhelm prospects with too much text, opting for more graphics and visuals instead. It introduces a hard-hitting stat about the problem their prospect is facing, engages them by asking a question, and provides a solution to the issue.
The slide deck continues to outline specific product details and what sets the solution apart from others, ultimately leading to a slide that represents the expected outcome for the prospect.
8. MEOM Sales Deck by Katya Kovalenko
What you’ll first notice when scrolling through MEOM's sales deck is that it’s straightforward and easy to scan.
The brand kept it simple with their deck, making it easier for consumers to take in the information. Too often, companies overload their decks with information, and by the end of the presentation, consumers can’t remember anything.
On every slide, MEOM has one main message with supporting information in smaller font. In addition, the brand incorporates a detailed look at one of its staff members — a powerful tool when trying to attract consumers.
9. Leadgeeks.io Sales Deck by Paweł Mikołajek
Sometimes, the best way to explain a concept is through a series of process maps and timelines. In this sales deck, Leadgeeks.io takes this approach to explain its product process and onboarding process.
This method helps consumers visualize how this software will help them reach their goals and how they can adopt it at their business.
10. Accern Sales Deck by Katya Kovalenko
Similar to Leadnomics, software company Accern puts its branding at the forefront of the sales deck.
In addition to the use of design to make the sales deck stand out, Accern also highlights customer case studies in its deck, another form of social proof that shows the success other customers have found with this tool.
Each of these presentations provides a general overview of the products, problems, and solutions, and they can easily be tailored and customized to each prospective company. A custom presentation not only piques the prospect's interest but also increases the likelihood that they'll buy from you.
Curious as to how you can word your presentation during your meeting with prospects? Below, we go over the best examples we’ve seen so far.

Example Sales Presentation
While there are plenty of videos online on how to deliver a sales presentation, there aren’t quite as many live sales presentations to watch.
That’s because sales presentations are delivered in the privacy of a meeting between the sales rep and the prospect, and are often not recorded with the intention of sharing online.
As a sales rep, though, you have an excellent resource for inspiration: explainer videos. Companies publish explainer videos to pitch their products to qualified leads. (Sound familiar?) Use the below examples to hone your own pitch to buyers, and pay close attention to the structure of each video.
This explainer video for Leadjet starts with an urgent problem: Finding leads on LinkedIn and moving them to a CRM loses valuable time and minimizes lead opportunities. Leadjet then presents its product as the solution.
The video jumps into the benefits users can enjoy, such as synchronizing conversations over both your CRM and LinkedIn, keeping the lead status updated, and adding custom details. In this video, Leadjet follows the ideal sales presentation structure: problem, solution, and benefits.
2. Node Influencer App
The Node influencer app allows small business owners to connect with influencers on social media. It starts its video with a simple question: “Looking to promote your brand with social influencers?” The presentation effectively identifies and addresses the target market before pitching the product to viewers.
This presentation is more tutorial-based, making it ideal inspiration if you’re creating a sales deck for someone who’s closer to making a decision. People most often want to see actionable demos when they’re ready to choose a provider.
This explainer video from Upsend, a former customer service software, begins with a problem: Most customers want instant responses to their queries, but customer service systems can be expensive for new companies. Enter Upsend.
The presenter addresses the target market — startups and small businesses — while assuaging their concerns about budget. In addition, it covers the most important features of the platform and the end result for the user. If Upsend were still available, this would be a product a new business would immediately want to add to their tech stack.
4. Algoplanner
Within a few seconds of the start of this presentation, Algoplanner drives home the critical urgency of adopting a supply chain software. It uses a scary number to pull your attention, citing a possible “loss of millions of dollars” if you fail to adopt the right tool.
It then introduces its product with a breakdown of what the software can do for users. Plus, it provides powerful stats to back up its claims, including that users can reduce automation development costs by 80%. The call to action at the end is powerful and simple, telling viewers to schedule a demo.
Sales Deck Presentation Tips
Ready for your presentation? Sticking to these five simple sales presentation guidelines, recommended by Marc Wayshak , will help you blow your competition away while dramatically increasing your chances of closing the sale.
1. Lead with solutions.
Have you ever met with a prospect who was excited about your product or service – and used your presentation to keep on selling? This is called over-selling, and it's the leading cause of death for sales presentations.
When you start your presentation, first lead with solutions. Don't talk about the benefits of your product's features or tell the prospect how great your company is.
Simply dive into how you're going to solve the deepest frustration your prospect is facing right now.
2. Incorporate case studies.
Once you've addressed the specific solutions you can provide to the prospect, it's time to add some color to your presentation.
Turn your sales presentation into an engaging story by sharing case studies of similar prospects and the results they've achieved with your help.
This step is important for building trust and credibility with the prospect. At the same time, case studies bring your solutions to life in the real world, making your presentation more engaging.
3. Ask for feedback throughout.
Most presentations are a one-way monologue by the salesperson. This approach is boring – and it's certainly no way to connect with a prospect.
Instead, ask short questions throughout your presentation like "Does that make sense?" or "Can you see how this would work for you?" Asking for feedback periodically ensures your prospect stays on the same page.
4. Welcome interruptions.
If you want to close more sales, you have to care about what your prospect is thinking throughout your presentation.
Any interruption is the perfect opportunity to find out. Whenever a prospect interrupts you – either with a verbal remark or subtle shift in their facial expression or posture – stop immediately.
Acknowledge the interruption, and welcome the opportunity to explore it with the prospect. Never ignore signals just to stay on a roll and conclude your point. Invite prospects to ask their questions or share their concerns.
The opportunity to respond to those concerns is always more valuable than whatever you were about to say.
5. Wrap it up quickly.
Your presentation should be ASAP: as short as possible.
It's natural for salespeople to get excited about what they have to share, but this causes most of them to ramble on for far too long.
Prospects only care about themselves and their challenges. Present the information they'll be interested in and nothing more.
Practice your next sales presentation with a colleague or friend and ask for their honest feedback on its length.

Canva is a web-based template editor with graphics creation tools and a powerful presentation builder in its free plan. Canva offers you an array of slide templates designed for virtually any purpose, along with a suite of customization tools to tailor the presentation to your topic and setting.
Canva has made a noticeable effort to optimize presentations for the smartphone. The app’s most striking feature is its selection of mobile presentation templates, which don’t lag their desktop-based peers in either aesthetics or utility. But whether or not your presentation is designed for a mobile screen, Canva lets you run it right from your smartphone, with a presenter view that shows your notes and upcoming slides. The audience can likewise engage with your presentation from their mobile devices during Q&A sessions.
Depending on your use case, you may be able to get away with Canva’s comprehensive free plan. The free Canva has presentation creation and editing tools and gives you access to a huge selection of professional templates. However, it’s the $14/month Pro plan that lets you unlock all the premium tools and graphic assets. And if you need Canva to collaborate with teams, you’re looking at $29.99 per month for the first 5 users.
To help you decide whether Canva is worth trying out, we’ve made this quick summary of the app’s pros and cons:
- Solid free plan with basic features and a large selection of graphic assets
- Optimized for mobile presentations
- Elegant templates for any use case
- Intermediate design skills required
- No direct integration with Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 (possible through third-party apps)
3. Prezi — Best slide tool for creative users
- Web-based tool for creating presentations, videos, and infographics
- Asset library includes templates, ready-to-use story blocks, and stock images from Unsplash and GIFs from
- Integrates with Webex, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and other video conferencing apps to show presentations and the presenter on the same screen
- Lets you convert PowerPoint presentations to Prezi
Pricing (all plans are billed annually)
- For students/educators: $3-8 per month
- For individuals: $7-19 per month
- For businesses: $15-29 per month
Prezi is a web-based tool for creating presentations, videos, and infographics that are suitable for business and educational settings. The tool offers a wealth of image and icon assets, as well as templates to get you started on your slide deck. The templates do not constrain your creativity with linear slides the way PowerPoint does — you can create your presentations on an open canvas. Prezi even lets you import and customize PowerPoint presentations in its app. And, with the help of Prezi’s new AI tool, you can create and edit entire presentations quickly.
One of Prezi’s most defining features is its integration with popular video conferencing apps, such as Webex, Zoom, Teams, and Meet. Crucially, Prezi lets your slides appear on the same screen as your own video feed while you’re presenting.
Prezi offers three pricing tiers. Students and educators get the least expensive options, with plans that range between $3 and $8 per month. For individual users, plans cost $7-19 per month, while business users pay between $15 and $29 per month. All of Prezi’s plans are billed annually, but you can try the tool for 14 days without committing to a subscription.
If you’re not sure whether this presentation tool is right for you, consider Prezi’s pros and cons below:
- Design freedom and for creating unique and attractive slides
- Graphic assets are readily available
- Integrates with video conferencing apps
- AI assistant generates and edits presentations
- Inexpensive plans for students and educators
- Video and infographic creation part of each plan
- 14-day free trial
- Design skills required to create quality presentations
- Lack of integration with Google Slides and Microsoft PowerPoint
- No monthly billing options
4. Visme — Best for graphics and special effects
- Tools for creating special effects and animating graphics
- Ability to import and edit Microsoft PowerPoint presentations
- AI designer helps create a presentation draft
- Integration with Google Drive, DropBox, Mailchimp, Slack, and other apps
- Presentation analytics tools
- Basic package: $0/month
- Starter package (individual): $12.25/month
- Pro package (individual or team): $24.75-$79+/month
Visme is a web-based app for producing various types of visual content, including presentations. The app’s most distinct feature is its suite of special effects you can use to make the slides’ content and graphics more engaging. The app also lets you animate the images and insert video and audio features into the slides.
Visme integrates with a whole host of other platforms and apps. These integration options are largely designed to let you import content seamlessly into Visme. For example, you have the option of importing your PowerPoint files into Visme, enhancing them there, and exporting them back in the .ppt format if you like. That said, Visme does not work as an extension in popular slide makers, like Google Slides or PowerPoint.
You have three main pricing options with Visme. The Basic plan is free, but you’re limited in access to collaboration tools, assets, interactive, and AI features. The more comprehensive Starter plan costs $12.25 per month (billed annually), and equips you with Visme’s more premium tools. Finally, the Pro team plan sets you back $79/month for a team of 5 and lets you use Visme’s entire suite of interactivity and collaboration functions.
Here are a few vital pros and cons if you need help deciding whether Visme is right for you:
- Vast selection of special effects
- Ability to animate graphics on the slides
- Simple file movement between different web-based apps
- Free plan available
- Free plans extremely limiting
- No direct integration with Google or Microsoft slide tools
5. Powtoon — Best for slides with animation
- Templates with configurable graphics and animation
- Customizable fonts, colors, and logos
- Access to stock images, videos, and soundtracks
- Lite plan: $50/month ($15/month when billed annually)
- Professional plan: $190/month ($40/month when billed annually)
- Agency: $117/month (annual billing only)
Powtoon is a visual web-based content creation platform with tools for making videos, animations, and presentations. The app’s presentation function lets you build slides using professional templates, in which you’re free to customize the fonts, colors, logos, and graphics. You can even animate the graphics and build custom avatars to present on your behalf — it’s one of Powtoon’s unique selling features.
Powtoon’s suite of slide tools includes a database of royalty-free stock images, video footage, and music. You can use all of these assets in your slides, or upload your own as you see fit. However, how much of these shiny tools you can use in your slide decks depends on the chosen plan.
There are three pricing plans available, and the discrepancy between monthly and annual payments is striking. Most presentation sites charge a few dollars more if you opt for monthly instead of annual billing, but Powtoon’s monthly prices easily triple and quadruple. For example, the Lite plan costs $15/month with annual billing, but $50 if you wish to pay every month instead. You get very basic features with this plan, especially as far as animation and interactivity are concerned. Likewise, the Professional plan jumps from $40 to $190 if you choose monthly payments. You get a bit more for your buck, but some rudimentary features are still absent (like font uploads). Meanwhile, the Agency plan costs a whopping $1400 annually (no monthly option), and this plan gets you all of the app’s bells and whistles.
Not sure if investing in a product like Powtoon is worth it? Consider its pros and cons below:
- Comprehensive animation and video creation features
- Graphic and audio assets available with subscription
- Fonts and logos can be uploaded
- Most customization, animation, and AI features only come with the expensive Agency package
- Monthly payment options are not reasonable
6. Haiku Deck — Best site for image editing options
- Minimalistic interface
- Graphic design tools for improving slide aesthetics
- Pre-loaded templates and image assets
- Cloud-based file sharing for team collaboration
- AI presentation builder (Haiku Deck Zuru)
- Pro plan: $9.99 per month billed annually, or $19.99 monthly
- Premium plan: $29.99 per month, billed annually
Haiku Deck is a web, desktop, and mobile-based presentation builder with a significant focus on design aesthetics. The app’s design tools allow you to refine the graphics in the preloaded templates and images you’re using in the slides. You can source the images right from Haiku’s repository, which boasts over 40 million assets.
To help you create your slide decks, Haiku offers its AI assistant. The AI feature can create new presentations from your outline, or enhance your existing drafts. Since the AI learns from other Haiku users, its algorithms are now trained to outfit slides with contextually relevant imagery and graphics.
Haiku Deck’s pricing has two tiers: Pro and Premium. The Pro plan costs $9.99/month when billed annually and affords full access to the slide creation tools. Meanwhile, the Premium plan will set you back $29.99/month (again, billed annually), and equips you with features such as analytics, live web tracking, and priority support.
Here’s a summary of Haiku Deck’s most prominent pros and cons:
- Visually appealing slides
- Large database of graphic assets
- Advanced tools for editing images
- Capable AI-powered slide builder
- No free plan
- No integration with Google Slides or Microsoft PowerPoint
7. Zoho Show — Best presentation site for budget-minded users
- Clean interface with tools changing depending on the task
- Library for templates, slides, and fonts to facilitate team collaboration
- Over 100 templates
- Imports/exports PowerPoint files
- Presentations can be controlled from smartphone or smart watch
- For individuals: Free
- Professional Plan: $2.50/month and up (billed annually)
- With Zoho Workplace Standard: $3.00/month (billed annually)
Zoho is a web-based suite of business tools, and Zoho Show is its slide creation app. Zoho Show is a straightforward, inexpensive, yet fully functional slide maker that offers most of the same features you’ll get from pricier presentation sites. You can build your decks using over 100 preloaded templates, work on PowerPoint presentations before exporting them to their original file format, and run your slideshow from a smart device. Show’s most unique feature is its clean, contextual interface that only displays tools that are relevant to your current task (whether that’s handy or limiting depends on your preferences).
Zoho Show’s pricing has three tiers. First, there’s the Free plan. This package lets you build basic presentations, but you miss out on key collaboration features and have limited access to graphic assets. Next, you get the more comprehensive Professional Plan, which costs $2.50; you must sign up for Zoho WorkDrive and have a team of 3 people to get this plan. Finally, you can get the entire Zoho Workplace suite for $3/month — this option unlocks the full functionality of the Show app and lets you use other Zoho tools, such as their Office Suite, Mail, and Workdrive.
Have a look at Zoho Show’s pros and cons below to see if this presentation website is right for you:
- Interface automatically shows tools relevant to the task
- Ability to add custom fonts and embed files into slides
- Templates, graphic assets, and collaboration tools included
- Supports PowerPoint file formats
- Subscription to Zoho Workdrive or Workplace required to access paid plan — unnecessary if all you need is a presentation tool
- Some plans require a minimum of 3 users
- Free individual plan limits use of graphic assets, templates, and collaboration tools
- No direct integration with Google Slides
8. Pitch — Best presentation site for use in business and sales
- Lets you build presentations with AI, from a template, or from scratch
- Supports custom fonts and colors
- Provides team collaboration tools
- Allows you to embed presentations on the web
- Offers engagement analytics tools
- Pro plan: $25/month
- Business: $100/month
Pitch is a web-based presentation maker designed primarily for business use. The app helps streamline slide deck creation with its AI tool, which generates a first draft based on your prompts and leaves your team with the task of refining the slides to your liking. The slides have shareable links, so your entire team can collaborate on the slide deck. You can even invite consultants from outside your workplace to edit the presentations.
Once your slide deck is complete, Pitch allows you to embed it on the web in your CMS — much like you’d do with a YouTube video. And to give you a feel for how audiences engage with your presentation, Pitch equips you with engagement and analytics performance tools.
There are three pricing options with Pitch. The free plan comes with all the presentation creation functions, but you get no tracking and limited collaboration tools. The Pro plan costs $25/month (or $22 per month when billed annually), and gives you more freedom to use Pitch in a team environment. Finally, the Business plan costs $100/month (or $85/month with yearly billing) and gives you access to the full suite of features.
Can’t decide if Pitch is the best presentation website for your team? Have a look at its most vital pros and cons:
- AI slide creation feature
- Performance analytics tools
- Integration with various productivity and collaboration apps
- Media asset library
- Engagement tracking only available in paid plans
- No integration with Google Slides or Microsoft 365
9. Beautiful.ai — Best site for no-frills AI-generated presentations
- AI-powered presentation maker
- Slide creation from user’s prompts
- Automated slide formatting
- File sharing within the team (requires Team Plan)
- Graphic assets database
- Pro: $144 per year
- Team: $40/month per user with annual billing ($50 with monthly billing)
- Enterprise: Pricing available on request
Beautiful.ai is an AI-powered presentation builder that leverages full automation to make slide creation quick and easy. All you need to do is enter a prompt for your slide deck, and beautiful.ai will generate your first draft. These AI-generated drafts are quite simplistic in terms of both content and graphics, but they serve as a good starting point. Moreover, beautiful.ai’s presentations are formatted consistently, which should save you time as you edit each slide.
You get three pricing options with beautiful.ai — Pro, Team, and Enterprise. The Pro package is meant for individual use, and costs $144 per year (there’s no way to pay monthly). The plan equips you with the AI slide maker but limits your use of assets and team collaboration features. The Pro plan costs $50/month for each user, or $480 annual for each license you purchase. This plan affords access to more customization and teamwork functions and lets you use graphic assets. Finally, the Enterprise plan includes all the features of the Pro plan, but with more dedicated training and support for your team. You’d have to reach out to beautiful.ai’s sales team to get a quote for the Enterprise plan.
Beautiful.ai helps create slides quickly and with little skill. However, if you’re not sure this app is right for you, consider its most vital pros and cons below.
- Quick way to create and format slides
- Inexpensive plan for personal use
- Elegant slide templates
- No integration with Google Slides or Microsoft 365
- Slide content is very basic
- Limited customization and branding options
10. Google Slides — Best for Google Workspace Users With Basic Presentation Needs
- Basic presentation creation tool
- Limited selection of templates, fonts, and colors
- Supports import/export of PowerPoint files
- Allows collaboration within the Google Workspace
- Free with a Google account
Slides is the web-based presentation tool you get with your Google account. This rudimentary app features a limited library of templates, fonts, and colors, along with a basic suite of tools for formatting the text and graphics in your slides. You can insert your own image, video, and audio files into the slides, but there is no access to a library of royalty-free assets.
Despite its functional constraints, Google Slides is a useful app because it lets teams using Google Workspace collaborate easily on presentations. To get the most of Slides, though, you need to boost its functionality with a suitable extension. Google Gemini now works as an extension within the app, but for the $30 it costs you, the output is disappointing. All Gemini knows does is generate simple, low-quality images; it won’t help you produce, format, or edit presentations.
In contrast, an app like Plus AI leverages artificial intelligence algorithms to give Google Slides powers it lacks on its own. By using the Plus AI extension, you can create entire Slides presentations from a single prompt, automate slide editing and formatting, and access a rich library of templates and ready-made slide decks. Meanwhile, Plus AI’s customization features help you brand your presentations with custom fonts, colors, and your company logo.
Not sure if Google’s slide creation tool is right for you? Have a look at its pros and cons below.
- Allows collaboration in the Google Workspace
- Compatible with PowerPoint files
- Supports AI-powered slide-creation extensions, such as Plus AI
- Free to use with a Google account
- Limited capabilities without third-party apps
- No library with image, video, or audio assets
11. Microsoft PowerPoint — Best For Highly Skilled Presentation Designers
- Vast library of slide themes, variants, and layouts
- Database of stock images and videos
- Massive array of slide editing, formatting, and customization tools
- Supports collaboration in the Microsoft 365 ecosystem
- As a standalone product: $159.99 (one-time fee)
- With Microsoft 365 apps, for home use: $6.99-$9.99/month
- With Microsoft 365 apps, for business use: $6.00-22.00/user/month
PowerPoint is one of the world’s oldest presentation builders that’s been part of Microsoft’s arsenal since the early 1990s. To this day, PowerPoint has been the most commonly used presentation app. But there’s a reason we’ve ranked it last on our list. Buoyed by its popularity, PowerPoint hasn’t evolved much over time; you won’t get anything beyond the most basic and uninspired presentations out of it unless you’re an advanced user with lots of time on your hands.
The app’s user interface immediately overwhelms you with options and settings. Some of these seem similar in how they function, and you won’t know which tool to use until you’ve experimented with them all. Apart from the cluttered interface, PowerPoint disappoints with its simplistic selection of templates and designs.
You can use Microsoft’s Copilot to forgo the tedious task of creating your own PowerPoint presentation, but beware: like Gemini, Copilot is still limited in its slide-making abilities. You can get it to create a slide deck from a single prompt, but the output will feature basic and repetitive along with lifeless images.
PowerPoint’s pricing is a bit convoluted at a glance — you get different options whether you want the standalone product ($159.99) or the entire Microsoft 365 suite. If you choose the latter, the Home options range in price between $6.99 and $9.99 per month, while the Business plans cost between $6.00 and $22.00 per month per user.
We don’t believe that PowerPoint is worth your time considering the vast selection of more powerful and user-friendly presentation apps on the market. However, you can review the app’s pros and cons below and decide for yourself.
- Massive selection of design and customization tools
- Integrates with Microsoft Copilot
- Lets team members using Microsoft 365 work on the same presentation simultaneously
- Overwhelming user interface
- Very basic templates and designs
- Creating professional presentations is a challenge for novice users
- AI assistant cannot produce elegant, content-rich slide decks
How we ranked the best presentation sites
To make your selection process simple and effective, we ranked the best presentation websites based on these vital criteria:
- Functionality
- Level of AI sophistication
- Ease of use
- Collaboration options
Integration with popular slide creation tools
Value for money, functionality .
The best presentation sites are loaded with handy functions that enable you to make visually appealing, info-rich, and engaging presentations with little effort and minimal editing. These include customization tools, templates, image assets, and graphics refinement features.
Level of AI sophistication
AI technology is at the forefront of slide makers’ drive to create the best product for their clients. AI-powered presentation sites save you from spending long hours on writing content, digging up graphics, and then formatting every slide — AI handles these tasks for you. But not all AI slide creators are made equal. Some leave you with rudimentary decks that feature repetitive content and unrelated imagery. Others give you a solid starting point for an informative and captivating presentation.
Ease of use
The best presentation sites greet you with an intuitive and uncluttered interface that takes you minutes (if not seconds) to master. But usability goes beyond navigating the UI. That’s why we also assess the simplicity with which you can actually produce presentations. Simply put, how easy is it to create and edit slides? Do you need advanced design skills to manipulate the graphics and give the slide deck your desired aesthetic ? The best slide makers take these questions into account, so that their product makes presentations a breeze. You worry about the content, and let the app do the rest.
Collaboration options
High-quality presentation apps allow team members to create, edit, and give feedback on presentations remotely. That’s because today’s business needs, along with hybrid work arrangements, mean that more and more teams are forced to collaborate electronically. Features such as cloud-based file sharing and integration with communication platforms help different members of your team work on the presentation from wherever they are.
Google Slides and Microsoft PowerPoint are the most commonly used presentation programs in the world. These two giants are the natural, go-to option for slide creation in the corporate, educational, and institutional world. Any presentation app that’s worth its salt should integrate with at least one of these tools. At the very least, a quality independent slide app should be able to import and export files that can be used in Google Slides or PowerPoint.
The best presentation apps are usually not free, but the money you pay for them should be worth the features and benefits you get in return. That’s why we’ve evaluated each of the slide makers above based on the balance between their price point and their offerings.
How to choose the best presentation website for your needs?
You can’t really go wrong by opting for any of the 10 presentation sites above; however, to get a tool that’s tailored to your use-case, you’ll have to do a bit more research and analysis. The four steps below should help you zero in on the optimal presentation maker for your needs.
- Consider the purpose of the presentation. Some slide tools cater to sales teams (think Pitch), others to graphic-minded users (Haiku Deck comes to mind), while others, like Plus AI, are excellent all-rounders.
- Decide on the level of customization you need. How concerned are you with personalizing and branding your slide decks? If a generic, templated presentation is all you need for a school project, investing in a feature-rich, customizable tool may be overkill. But if you need your slide decks to feature custom colors, fonts, and convey your brand identity, opt for a tool (and pricing package) that has this functionality.
- Decide if you want AI help. Unless you’re a skilled designer with a passion for creating and formatting slides, AI can be incredibly useful. Consider this: would you rather spend hours on refining your slides and ensuring consistency, or have the AI tool produce a uniformly formatted first draft?
