જન્માષ્ટમી નો તહેવાર શ્રાવણ વદ આઠમ ના દિવસે આવે છે. જન્માષ્ટમી એક ધાર્મિક તહેવાર છે. ભારત માં જન્માષ્ટમી ખુબ જ આનંદ અને ઉલ્લાસ થી ઉજવાય છે. જન્માષ્ટમી એટલે ભગવાન શ્રી કૃષ્ણ નો જન્મ દિવસ. ભગવાન શ્રી કૃષ્ણ નો જન્મ શ્રાવણ વદ આઠમ ની રાત્રે મથુરા ની જેલ માં થયો હતો.

ભગવાન શ્રી કૃષ્ણ ના પિતા નું નામ વસુદેવ અને માતા નું નામ દેવી હતું. ભગવાન શ્રી કૃષ્ણ નો જન્મ થયા પછી કૃષ્ણ ને વસુદેવ ગોકુળ માં નંદ રાજા ના ઘરે મૂકી આવ્યા અને જશોદા ની દીકરી ને પોતાની સાથે લઇ આવ્યા.

ભગવાન શ્રી કૃષ્ણ ના જન્મ દિવસે અષ્ટમી હતી તેથી શ્રી કૃષ્ણ ના જન્મ દિવસ ને “ગોકુળ અષ્ટમી” પણ કહે છે. જન્માષ્ટમી નો તહેવાર દર વર્ષે ખુબ જ ધૂમ ધામ થી ઊજવાય છે. ભારત માં ભગવાન શ્રી કૃષ્ણ નો જન્મ દિવસ ખુબ જ આનંદ અને ઉલ્લાસ થી મનાવવા માં આવે છે.

જન્માષ્ટમી ના દિવસે ઘણી જગ્યા એ મેળા પણ ભરાય છે. લોકો મેળા માં જઈ ને આનંદ કરે છે. બાળકો ને તો મેળા માં જઈ ને ખુબ જ આનંદ આવી જાય છે. આ દિવસે મંદિરો ને શણગારવા માં આવે છે.

જન્માષ્ટમી ના દિવસે લોકો ઊપવાસ પણ કરે છે. રાત્રે મંદિર માં ભજન કીર્તન થાય છે. રાત ના બાર વાગે કૃષ્ણ જન્મ થાય છે. લોકો “નંદ ઘેર આનંદ ભર્યો, જય કનૈયા લાલ કી” ગાય છે. લોકો ગુલાલ ઉડાડે છે. લોકો ભગવાન ને પારણાં માં ઝુલાવે છે. પછી મંદિર માં આરતી કરી ને પંજરી નો પ્રસાદ વહેંચાય છે.

ભારત માં ઘણાં સ્થળો એ રાત્રે માટલી ફોડવા નો કાર્યક્રમ યોજાય છે. માટલી ફોડવા નો કાર્યક્રમ જોવા ની બાળકો ને ખુબ જ મજા આવે છે. આમ જન્માષ્ટમી આપણો એક ધાર્મિક તહેવાર છે.

જન્માષ્ટમી ના તહેવાર ને ભગવાન શ્રીક્રુષ્ણ ના જન્મદિવસ રૂપે ઉજવવામાં આવે છે. આ તહેવાર આખી દુનિયા માં સંપૂર્ણ આસ્થા અને શ્રદ્ધા થી ઉજવામાં આવે છે. જન્માષ્ટમી ને ભારત માં જ નહીં,પરંતુ વિદેશ માં વસવાટ કરતાં ભારતીયો પણ આસ્થા અને શ્ર્દ્ધા થી ઉજવે છે. શ્રીકૃષ્ણ યુગોયુગ થી આપણી આસ્થા નું કેન્દ્ર રહ્યા છે. તેઓ ક્યારેક યશોદા માતા ના લાલ હતા,તો ક્યારેક વ્રજ ના નટખટ કૃષ્ણ.

જન્માષ્ટમી ક્યારે અને કેમ ઉજવવામાં આવે છે.?

ભગવાન શ્રીકૃષ્ણ ના જન્મદિવસ ને ખૂબ ધામધૂમ થી ઉજ્વવામાં આવે છે. જન્માષ્ટમી પર્વ ભગવાન શ્રીકૃષ્ણ ના જન્મદિવસ ના રૂપે ઉજ્વવામાં આવે છે. જે રક્ષાબંધન પછી ભાદરવા મહિના ની આઠમ ના દિવસે ઉજ્વવામાં આવે છે. શ્રીકૃષ્ણ દેવકી અને વાસુદેવ ના આઠમા પુત્ર હતા. મથુરા નગરી ના રાજા કંસ હતા,જે ખૂબ જ અત્યાચારી હતો. તેના અત્યાચાર દિવસે ને દિવસે વધતાં જતાં હતા. એકવાર આકાશવાણી થઈ કે તેમની બહેન દેવકી નું આઠમું સંતાન તેમનો વધ કરશે. તે સાંભળી રાજા કંસે તેની બહેન દેવકી ને તેના પતિ વાસુદેવ સહિત કાળકોઠરી માં પૂરી દીધા,કંસે દેવકી ના આઠમાં બાળક ક્રુષ્ણ પહેલા સાત બાળકો ને મારી નાખ્યા હતા. જ્યારે દેવકી યે શ્રીક્રુષ્ણ ને જન્મ આપ્યો,ત્યારે ભગવાન વિષ્ણુ યે વાસુદેવ ને આદેશ આપ્યો કે તે શ્રીકૃષ્ણ ને ગોકુળ માં યાસોદા માતા અને નંદબાબા ના પાસે મૂકી આવે,જ્યાં તે પોતાના મામા કંસ થી સુરક્ષિત રહેશે. શ્રીકૃષ્ણ નું પાલનપોષણ યશોદા માતા અને નંદબાબા ની દેખરેખ માં થયું. બસ,તેમની જન્મ ની ખુશી માં જન્માષ્ટમી નો તહેવાર ઉજવવામાં આવે છે.

જન્માષ્ટમીની તૈયારીઑ :-

શ્રીક્રુષ્ણ જન્માષ્ટમી ના દિવસે ખાસ મંદિરો ને સણગારવા માં આવે છે. જન્માષ્ટમી ના દિવસે આખો દિવસ વ્રત નું વિધાન છે. જ્ન્મષ્ટમી ના દિવસે બધા રાતે બાર વાગ્યા સુધી વ્રત રાખે છે. આ દિવસે મંદિરો માં જાંખિયા સજાવવા માં આવે છે અને ભગવાન શ્રીકૃષ્ણ ને પારણે જુલાવવા માં આવે છે અને રાસલીલા નું આયોજન કરવામાં આવે છે.

દહીહાંડી / મટકીફોડ પ્રતિયોગિતા :-

જન્માષ્ટમી ના દિવસે દેશ માં અનેકો જગ્યા પર દહીહાંડી પ્રતિયોગિતા નું આયોજન કરવામાં આવે છે. દહીહાંડી ની પ્રતિયોગિતા માં બધી જગ્યા ના બાળ-ગોવિંદ ભાગ લે છે. છાસ,દહી અને માખણ થી ભરેલી મટુકી દોરડા ની મદદ થી આકાશ માં લટકાવા માં આવે છે નંદ ઘેર આનદ ભયો ના નાદ સાથે બાળ-ગોવિંદ દ્વારા મટકી ફોડવાનો પ્રયાસ કરવામાં આવે છે. દહીહાંડી પ્રતિયોગિતા માં વિજેતા ટીમ ને ઈનામ આપવામાં આવે છે.

janmashtami essay in gujarati :- ભગવાન વિષ્ણુના અવતાર એવા ભગવાન શ્રીકૃષ્ણનાં  જન્મદિવસને જન્માષ્ટમીનાં તહેવારનાં રૂપમાં ઉજવાય છે. શ્રાવણ વદ આઠમની તિથિ જન્માષ્ટમી  નિમિત્તે, ભારતભરમાં ખૂબ જ ઉત્સાહથી ઉજવાતો તહેવાર છે. આ તહેવારને કૃષ્ણ જન્મોત્સવ તરીકે પણ ઓળખવામાં આવે છે. 

જન્માષ્ટમી હિંદુઓનો વાર્ષિક તહેવારના રૂપમાં ઉજવાય છે. આ તહેવાર રક્ષાબંધનથી આઠમા દિવસે આવે છે. આ દિવસે લોકો ઘરમાં અને મંદિરોમાં ભવ્ય ઉજવણી કરે છે. લોકો ઘરમાં પણ શ્રીકૃષ્ણના ગોકુળિયું સજાવે છે અને આખો દિવસ ઉપવાસ કરે છે અને જુદી – જુદી વાનગીઓનો ભોગ કે 56 ભોગ લગાવે છે. ભગવાન શ્રી કૃષ્ણનું રાજ્ય એવી દ્વારકા નગરી અને એમનું જન્મસ્થળ એવી મથુરાનગરીમાં આ તહેવારની ભવ્ય ઉજવણી થાય છે. લોકો કૃષ્ણભક્તિમાં ડૂબી જાય છે.  

આપણે જાણીએ જ છીએ કે જન્માષ્ટમીની રાત્રે 12 વાગ્યે શ્રીકૃષ્ણનો જન્મ થયો હતો. મંદિરોમાં અને ઘરોમાં પણ લોકો જન્માષ્ટમીને દિવસે રાત્રે શ્રીકૃષ્ણનો અભિષેક, પૂજન અને આરતી કરીને ઉજવણી કરે છે. આજનાં દિવસે મંદિરો અને હવેલીઓમાં ભક્તોની ભીડ ઉમટે છે પોતાનાં વ્હાલા બાલગોપાલને હિંડોળામાં ઝુલાવવા માટે. શ્રાવણ મહિનામાં શ્રી કૃષ્ણ ભગવાનનાં હિંડોળાનાં દર્શન કરવા મળે એ પણ એક લ્હાવો છે.

આ દિવસે શહેરના રસ્તાઓ પર મટકીફોડ પ્રતિયોગિતા પણ રાખવામાં આવે  છે. કેટલાંક લોકો આ પ્રતિયોગિતા જન્માષ્ટમીનાં બીજા દિવસે એટલે કે છડી નોમનાં દિવસે રાખે છે. મટકીફોડ કાર્યક્રમ મુંબઈમાં ખૂબ ધામધૂમથી ઉજવાય છે. ખાસ કરીને મુંબઈનાં દાદર અને વિરાર વિસ્તારમાં. આખો દિવસ “ગોવિંદા આલા રે આલા  જરા મટકી સંભાળ બ્રિજબાલા” ગીત ગુંજે છે. ભારે સંખ્યામાં લોકો આ મટકીફોડનો આનંદ ઉઠાવે છે. મટકી ફોડ પ્રતિયોગિતા માટે ઈનામો પણ રાખવામાં આવે છે. ક્યારેક તો ખૂબ ઊંચી મટકી બાંધી હોય તો ઈનામ પણ મોટું જ હોય છે. ક્યારેક સંતાનપ્રાપ્તિ માટે કે ક્યારેક સંતાનપ્રાપ્તિની ખુશીમાં મટકી ફોડ કરાવવામાં આવે છે. માન્યતા અનુસાર ફૂટેલી માટલીની ટુકડીને તિજોરીમાં રાખવી શુકનવંતી માનવામાં આવે છે. 

શ્રીકૃષ્ણ માતા દેવકી અને વસુદેવનાં આઠમા પુત્ર છે. જેનો જન્મ મથુરામાં રાત્રે 12 વાગ્યે કારાગૃહમાં થયો હતો. ભવિષ્યવાણી અનુસાર શ્રી કૃષ્ણ એમના મામા કંસનો કાળ બનવાના હતા અને તેમનો વધ કરવાના હતા. આથી કૃષ્ણને કંસ મારી નાખવાનો હતો એ ડરથી એમના પિતા વસુદેવ શ્રીકૃષ્ણને યમુના નદી પાર કરીને એમનાં પરમ સખા બાબા નંદરાય અને તેમની પત્ની યશોદા  પાસે મૂકી આવ્યા હતા. 

જન્મથી જ સંઘર્ષ કરતા શ્રી કૃષ્ણ ભગવાનનાં મૃત્યુ સાથે પણ એક કથા જોડાયેલી છે. એક વાર દુર્વાસા ઋષિ તેમની દ્વારિકા નગરીમાં મહેમાન બનીને આવ્યા હતા. આ સમયે મહારાણી ઋકમણીએ એમને માટે ખીર બનાવી હતી. જ્યારે ઋષિ ખીર ખાવા આવ્યા ત્યારે દેવી ઋકમણી ત્યાં હાજર નહોતા. આથી ભગવાન કૃષ્ણ પોતે જ એમને ખીર આપે છે, પરંતુ આ ખીર ગરમ હતી એની પ્રભુને જાણ ન્હોતી. આથી જ ખીર ખાતાંની સાથે જ દુર્વાસા ઋષિ ગુસ્સે થઈ ગયા.

શ્રી કૃષ્ણ પરિસ્થિતી પામી જઈને ઝડપથી દોડીને આખું તપેલું ખીર પોતાનાં જ શરીર પર રેડી દે છે. આથી દુર્વાસા ઋષિનો ક્રોધ શાંત થઈ જાય છે. દુર્વાસા ઋષિ શ્રી કૃષ્ણને આશિર્વાદ આપે છે કે આખા શરીરે જ્યાં જ્યાં ખીર લાગી છે તે તમામ ભાગો વજ્ર જેવા બની જશે. શ્રી કૃષ્ણએ જોયું તો પગનાં તળિયા સિવાયનાં તમામ અંગો પર ખીર લાગેલી હતી. આ જોઈને અચરજ પામેલા પ્રભુને દુર્વાસા ઋષિએ એમનાં મૃત્યુનું રહસ્ય જણાવતા કહ્યું હતું કે આ આખી ઘટના વિધી દ્વારા પૂર્વ આયોજિત હતી. તેમનું મૃત્યુ તળિયામાં તીર વાગવાથી થશે.

આપણે સૌ જાણીએ છીએ તેમ શ્રી કૃષ્ણનું મૃત્યુ આવી જ રીતે થાય છે, ભાલકાતીર્થ નામનાં સ્થળે. શાસ્ત્રોમાં જણાવ્યા અનુસાર શ્રી કૃષ્ણને મારનાર જરા નામનો શિકારી એ બીજું કોઈ નહીં પણ સતયુગમાં ભગવાન શ્રી રામનાં હાથે મૃત્યુ પામેલ વાનરરાજ વાલી હતો. જે પોતાનાં મૃત્યુનો બદલો લેવા જન્મ્યો હતો.

શ્રી કૃષ્ણ ભગવાનની પૂજા કરતી વખતે નીચેની બાબતો ધ્યાનમાં લેવાથી ભગવાન પ્રસન્ન થાય છે:-

નાનપણથી જ શ્રી કૃષ્ણને મોરપીંછ પ્રત્યે અપાર લગાવ હતો. આથી જ મોરપીંછ ભગવાન કૃષ્ણનો શૃંગાર છે. જોકે ભગવાન કૃષ્ણને મોરપીંછ ખૂબ જ પ્રિય છે. એટલા માટે જન્માષ્ટમીના દિવસે તેમને મોરપીંછ જરૂર અર્પણ કરવું જોઈએ. 

વાંસળી પણ શ્રી કૃષ્ણની પ્રિય છે. વાંસળી વિના શ્રી કૃષ્ણ અધૂરા છે. જન્માષ્ટમીના દિવસે ભગવાનને વાંસળી પૂજાના સમયે અર્પિત કરો. 

-જન્માષ્ટમીના દિવસે ઘરમાં ગાય અથવા વાછરડાની નાની મૂર્તિ લાવી બાલગોપાલ સાથે મૂકવી. ગાય શ્રી કૃષ્ણની વ્હાલી છે. શંખમાં દૂધ લઈને ભગવાન કૃષ્ણને અભિષેક કરો. સાથે જ પૂજા કરતી વખતે પારિજાતના ફૂલ ચઢાવવા.

આ દિવસે ભગવાન શ્રી કૃષ્ણને 56 ભોગ પકવાન ચઢાવવાની પરંપરા છે. 56 ભોગથી ભગવાન પ્રસન્ન થઈ જાય છે અને ભક્તની મનોકામના પૂરી કરે છે. 

છપ્પન ભોગમાં ભગવાનને પ્રિય તમામ વાનગીઓ પીરસવામાં આવે છે. ત્યાં સુધી કે ઘણાં ભક્તો તો લોટમાંથી વાંસળી, ચોટલો, સોગઠાબાજી, સકકરપારા, વેલણ, થાળી અને આવી અનેક વસ્તુઓ બનાવી એને ઘીમાં તળે છે. ત્યારબાદ પ્રસાદરૂપે થાળીમાં ધરાવે છે. બાલગોપાલને ધરાવાતી વાનગીઓ મોટા ભાગે મીઠી હોય છે.

શાસ્ત્રો અનુસાર જન્માષ્ટમીના દિવસે નીચે મુજબનાં કાર્યો વર્જિત રાખવા:-

તુલસીના પાન ન તોડવા:.

જન્માષ્ટમીના દિવસે ભૂલથી પણ તુલસીના પાન ન તોડવા જોઈએ. ભગવાન વિષ્ણુને શ્રી કૃષ્ણનો અવતાર માનવામાં આવે છે. માન્યતા પ્રમાણે તુલસી ભગવાન વિષ્ણુને અત્યંત પ્રિય છે. તેથી આ દિવસે તુલસીના પાન તોડવા અશુભ માનવામાં આવે છે.

ચોખા ન ખાવા:

જે લોકો જન્માષ્ટમીનું વ્રત રાખે છે એટલે કે એકટાણું કરે છે તેમણે આ દિવસે ભાત ન ખાવા જોઈએ. એકાદશી અને જન્માષ્ટમીના દિવસે ભાત અને જવથી બનેલા ભોજનને વર્જિત માનવામાં આવે છે.

લસણ-ડુંગળીનું સેવન ન કરવું:

આ દિવસે લસણ, ડુંગળી અને અન્ય તામસિક ભોજન ન કરવું જોઈએ.

ગરીબોનો અનાદર ન કરવો:

કૃષ્ણ જન્માષ્ટમીના દિવસે ભૂલથી પણ કોઈનો અનાદર ન કરવો. ભગવાન કૃષ્ણ માટે અમીર તેમજ ગરીબ ભક્ત એકસમાન છે. કોઈ ગરીબનું અપમાન કરવાથી શ્રી કૃષ્ણ કોપાયમાન થઈ જાય છે.

વૃક્ષ કાપવા નહીં:

જન્માષ્ટમીના દિવસે વૃક્ષ કાપવાને અશુભ માનવામાં આવે છે. શ્રી કૃષ્ણનો વાસ દરેક વસ્તુમાં હોય છે. બની શકે તો આ દિવસે વધારે વૃક્ષો વાવવા જોઈએ. તેનાથી ઘર અને પરિવારમાં સુખ-શાંતિ બની રહે છે.

ગાયોનું અપમાન ન કરવું:

આ દિવસે ભૂલથી પણ ગાયોનું અપમાન ન કરવું જોઈએ. ભગવાન કૃષ્ણને ગાયો પ્રત્યે ખૂબ પ્રેમ હતો. તેઓ નાના હતા ત્યારે ગાયો સાથે રમતા હતા. એવી માન્યતા છે કે, જે પણ ગાયની પૂજા કરે છે તેને શ્રી કૃષ્ણના આશીર્વાદ મળે છે.

આમ, શ્રી કૃષ્ણની લીલાઓ જેટલી મોહક છે એટલી જ એમની ભક્તિ મુશ્કેલ છે. ઘણી બધી બાબતો ધ્યાનમાં રાખવી પડે છે. એ જેનાં પર રીઝે છે તે ભક્તનું કલ્યાણ થઈ જાય છે.

તે સમગ્ર ભારતમાં ઉજવવામાં આવે છે. આ ઉપરાંત બાંગ્લાદેશના ઢાકેશ્વર મંદિર, કરાચી, પાકિસ્તાનના શ્રી સ્વામી નારાયણ મંદિર, નેપાળ, અમેરિકા, ઈન્ડોનેશિયા અને કેટલાક દેશોમાં ઇસ્કોન મંદિર દ્વારા વિવિધ રીતે ઉજવણી કરવામાં આવે છે. બાંગ્લાદેશમાં તેને રાષ્ટ્રીય તહેવાર તરીકે ઉજવવામાં આવે છે અને આ દિવસે રાષ્ટ્રીય રજા મનાવવામાં આવે છે.

કૃષ્ણ જન્માષ્ટમી વ્રત

ભારતના જુદા જુદા સ્થળોએ તેને અલગ અલગ રીતે ઉજવવામાં આવે છે. આ તહેવાર પર, મોટાભાગના લોકો આખો દિવસ ઉપવાસ કરે છે, પૂજા માટે, બાળ કૃષ્ણની મૂર્તિને તેમના ઘરમાં રાખે છે. દિવસભર ઉપલબ્ધ તમામ પ્રકારના ફળો અને સાત્વિક વાનગીઓ સાથે ભગવાનને પ્રાર્થના કરવી અને રાત્રે 12:00 વાગ્યે પૂજા કરવી.

કૃષ્ણ જન્માષ્ટમીની વિશેષ પૂજા સામગ્રીનું મહત્વ

તમામ પ્રકારના ફળો, દૂધ, માખણ, દહીં, પંચામૃત, ધાણા, સૂકા ફળો, વિવિધ પ્રકારનો હલવો, અક્ષત, ચંદન, રોલી, ગંગાજલ, સાકર તથા અન્ય ભોગની વસ્તુઓ ભગવાનને પૂજા માટે અર્પણ કરવામાં આવે છે. એવું માનવામાં આવે છે કે જન્માષ્ટમીના વ્રતની યોગ્ય રીતે પૂજા કરવાથી વ્યક્તિ મોક્ષ મેળવે છે અને વૈકુંઠ (ભગવાન વિષ્ણુના નિવાસસ્થાન) ધામમાં જાય છે.

શ્રી કૃષ્ણને દ્વાપર યુગના યુગપુરુષ કહેવામાં આવ્યા છે. આ ઉપરાંત, સનાતન ધર્મ અનુસાર, વિષ્ણુનો આઠમો અવતાર માનવામાં આવે છે, તેથી કૃષ્ણ જન્માષ્ટમી સમગ્ર વિશ્વમાં આનંદ અને ઉલ્લાસ સાથે ઉજવવામાં આવે છે.

Lord Krishna was born on the 8th day of Dark Fortnight in the month of Bhadon. Bhadon is a month in the Hindu calendar. Moreover, he was born around 5,200 years ago approximately. Because he was one of the most powerful Gods. He was born for a special purpose on Earth. Lord Krishna was born to free the world from evil.

As a result, he played an important role in the book of Mahabharata. Also, Lord Krishna preached about good karma and the theory of Bhakti.

Lord Krishna was born in a prison. He was in the clutches if Kansa. But his father Vasudev gave him to his friend Nand to save him. Because he knew that Kansa was evil-minded. Furthermore after getting saved the upbringing of Sri Krishna was in a Gokul family. Sri Krishna after some time became strong. As a result, he was able to kill Kansa.

When I was a child I used to watch many shows on Sri Krishna. As a result, I know many things about him. First of all, Sri Krishna was very fond of eating Makhan. Because of that he always used to steal it from his mothers’ kitchen. Therefore his name was ‘Natkahat Nand Lal’. Sri Krishna was dark-colored. So he was always worried about his color. Moreover, Sri Krishna had a friend named Radha. Radha was of great importance to Krishna. So he always spent time with her. Radha was very beautiful and fair so Lord Krishna always feels color complex.

How is Janmashtami Celebrated?

People celebrate Janmashtami in mid-night. Because Lord Krishna was born in the dark. Moreover, people have a special way of celebrating the festival. Since Sri Krishna was fond of eating Makhan people play this sport.

The sport is, they tie an earthen pot(matki). The judge of the game ties the matki really high from the ground. Furthermore, a person fills Makhan in the matki. Also, what people do is they build a human pyramid to break the matki. Since the matki is too high they have to build a tall pyramid. As a result, many people have to take part in sport. Moreover, there are other teams too who stop them from breaking the matki. Equal chances are there for both the teams. Each team gets a chance for a particular time period. If the team is not able to do it in time then the other team tries it. This is an interesting sport many people gather to watch this sport.

બધા જ જાતિઓના મહાપુરુષનું જન્મદિવસ મહાભવ્ય દિવસથી મોટી ધાર્મિક વાતાવરણથી આવે છે. હિન્દુસ મહારૂરુષ ભગવાન શ્રીકૃષ્ણનો જન્મદિવસ ઉજ્જાવપદે કૃષ્ણ પક્ષના અશ્શમીને ઉજવાય છે. કૃષ્ણના ભક્ત, તેમના જન્મ દિવસો સહસ્ત્રોથી ઉજવતા હતા. હાલના સમયમાં તેના મહિમા અને વિસ્તૃત છે ભારતીય જ નહીં, વિદેશી પણ કૃષ્ણભક્ક છે અને વિદેશોમાં કૃષ્ણદેવલે સ્થાપિત કરી રહ્યા છે. દિવસ-પ્રતિ દિવસ તેમના ભક્તોની સંખ્યા વધી રહી છે આજે થી લગભગ પાંચ સહસ્ત્ર વર્ષ પૂર્વ કૃષ્ણ જન્મ થયો ત્યાં. મથૂરા માં કન્સ નામક રાજા રાજ્ય કરે છે તેના પ્રાણસો થી પ્રિયાં બહેન દેવકી થી. દેવકીના લગ્ન કન્સેકના મિત્ર વસુદેવની સાથે. તેની બહેન રાથ હન્કરે પોતે પોતે પોતાની બહેન સસરાલ છોડીને જવાનું છે. તે વખતે અજ્ઞાનવાણી થઈ હતી એટલું સાંભળવું તે રાથને ફરી પાછું વળ્યું અને દેવકી અને વસુદેવને જેલમાં મૂક્યો. એક-એકથી તે દેવકીના સાત સંતાનની હત્યા કરી દીધી પૃથ્વીની કુંસ જેમ પાપી કા પાપોને વજનથી મુક્ત કરવા માટે શ્રીકૃષ્ણનું જન્મસ્થળનું કૃષ્ણ પક્ષનું ગહન આંધી રાત માં થયું. જેલનાં દ્વાર સ્વયં ખુલ્લે. વસુદેવએ મોક્કાનો લાભ ઉઠાવી લીધો અને તેની પાસે તેના મિત્રોની નજરે આવ્યાં. કન્સને કોઈક રીતે તેના જીવની બનવાના સંદેશ મળ્યો તે શ્રીકૃષ્ણને મારવાથી ઘણા નિષ્ફળ પ્રયત્નો કર્યા અને સ્વયં કાલનું ઉદાસ બની ગયું. પછીથી શ્રીકૃષ્ણ તેમના માતા-પિતાને મુક્ત કરાયા. જન્મજાતશ્મીના દિવસ પ્રાંત: કાલ લોકો તેમનાં ઘરને સાફ કરીને મંડિમાં સૂર્ય અને દીયે જળાવે છે. આ દિવસે લોકો ઉપવાસ પણ રાખશે મંડિમાં માંડ થી જ કૃતન, પયગઢ, યજ્ઞ, વેદપઠ, કૃષ્ણ લીલા વગેરે. जे अर्धरातिरी तक चलते हैं બરાબર 12 વાગ્યે ચંદ્રનું દર્શન સાથે જ મંદિર શંખ અને ઘોડિયાલના અવાજથી ઉભુ થાય છે, આર્ટીટી પછી લોકોમાં પ્રસુતિ થાય છે. લોકોએ તે પ્રસંગે તમારું ખાવાનું તોડવું છે અને તમારું ઘર આવે ત્યારે ભોજન વગેરે થાય છે. જાહેરાત: જન્મમાષ્ટમી પર મન્દીર ચાર-પાંચ દિવસ પહેલાથી જ સગેને શરૂઆત થાય છે. આ દિવસે મંડિની શબભે તેના ઉંચાઈએ પહોંચે છે. વીજળીથી સ્નાન કરનારા રંગબેરંગી બબનોથી મંડિઓને સુશોભિત કરવામાં આવે છે. સ્થળ-સ્થળ પર ઝાકીઝ નિકલતી છે જે ગલી, મોહલો અને દુકાનોથી થતા મંદિરો સુધી પહોંચવું છે. મંદિરોમાં દેવકી-વસુદેવ-કારાગાર કૃષ્ણ હિન્ડોલો વિશેષ આકર્ષણ કેન્દ્ર છે. બધા જ ભક્તોમાં હિંદોલેમાં રાખેલી કૃષ્ણ મૂર્તિને ઝુલાકાર કરે છે. શ્રીકૃષ્ણનું જન્મસ્થળ મથૂરા અને વૃંદાવન માં મંડિરોનું શૉભ અનન્ય છે. ભક્તોના દિવસોથી તટતા રહે છે. જે અર્ધરાત્રીથી ત્યાં સુધી થમતા નથી. આ દિવસે સમાજ સેવકો પણ મંદિરોમાં કામ કરે છે અને બાંતે કરે છે. આ દિવસે મંડિમાં એટલી બધી ભીડ થઈ જાય કે લોકોની હરોળમાં ઊભા થઈને ભગવાનનું દર્શન કરાવવું પડે. સુરક્ષાના દ્રષ્ટિકોણથી મંદિરના બહારના પોલીસના કેટલાક જણને ત્યજી દેવામાં આવશે. શ્રીકૃષ્ણની વ્યક્તિત્વમાં તેમની ગુણો છે, જેના કારણે તેઓ હિંદુઓના મહાનાયક બન્યાં-તેમણે ગરીબ મિત્ર સુદામાથી મિત્રતા નિભાવી, દુરાચારી શિશુપાલની वध કરી, પાદૂપુત્ર યુધિષ્ઠિરની રાજસૂય યજ્ઞ માં આવવા માટેના મહેમાનોનાં પગ ધોવા અને જુઠું પાંદડાઓ, મહાભારતના યુદ્ધ માં પોતાના સ્વજનને જોઈને વિમુક્ત અર્જુનને આત્માના અવતારનો સંદેશ મળ્યો, જે હિન્દુનું ધૈતિક ગ્રંથ ‘શ્રીમધગ્વતિગી આ ગ્રંથ આજે ધર્મશાસ્ત્રના પાયા પર આધારિત છે તે જ શ્રીકૃષ્ણની પ્રશંસામાં ‘ભગવત પૂર્ણા’ ઘણા નાટકો અને લોકગીત લખ્યાં છે જે આજે પણ મંદિરોમાં ગાય છે. શ્રીકૃષ્ણનું પાત્ર અમને લોકિક અને આધ્યાત્મિક શિક્ષણ આપે છે ગીતા માં તેમણે સ્વયં કહ્યું છે કે વ્યક્તિને ફક્ત કર્મો કરવાની જરૂર છે. ‘કર્મનાયેવારાધરસ્તે મા ફલેષુ કડકચન’ નિર્મિત કર્મ વ્યકિતને કઠણ બનાવે છે. ફળ પ્રાપ્તિની ભાવનાથી ઊઠે છે તે દેવતાને પ્રાપ્ત થાય છે.

બધા જ જાતિઓ તેમના મહાપુરુષોના જન્મદિવસે મોટી ધામધમથી ઉજવાય છે. જન્મધમતિનું તહેવાર બધા હિન્દુઓ માટે એક ખૂબ જ મહત્વનું તહેવાર બનશે અને તે દર વર્ષે ઉજવાય છે. તે માટે ભગવાન કૃષ્ણનું જૈનિતિનું સ્વરૂપ છે કારણ કે તે માટે તે કૃષ્ણ જન્માષ્ટમી કહે છે. તે અનેક અન્ય નામોથી પણ જાણીતા છે જેમ કે – કૃષ્ણશતમી, ગોકુલાસ્તમી, અષ્ટમી રહિની, શ્રી કૃષ્ણ જયંતી, શ્રી જયંતિ વગેરે. ભગવાન કૃષ્ણ હિન્દુ ધર્મના ભગવાન હતા. તેમણે પૃથ્વી પર માનવ રૂપમાં જન્મ લીધો છે, જેથી તેઓ માનવ જીવનને બચાવી શકે છે અને માનવ દુઃખ દૂર કરે છે. કેટલાક લોકો માને છે કે કૃષ્ણ ભગવાન વિષ્ણુની આઠ અવતાર છે. પરંતુ મોટાભાગના લોકો તેને જન્મજાતમી જ કહે છે જન્મજાતમીથી ભગવાન શ્રીકૃષ્ણના જન્મદિવસની જેમ જ ઉજવાય છે. આ પર્વમાં સમગ્ર દુનિયામાં મોટી આસ્થા અને શ્રદ્ધાની સાથે ઉજવાય છે. જન્મજત્તી માટે માત્ર ભારત જ નથી પણ વિદેશમાં રહેવું ભારતીય પણ મોટી આસ્થા અને ઉત્સાહ સાથે ઉજવણી કરે છે. શ્રીકૃષ્ણ યુગણો-યુગથી અમારા આસ્થાના કેન્દ્રમાં છે તેઓ ક્યારેક તો યશોદા મમીના લાલ હતા ત્યારે ક્યારેક બ્રુઝની નટખત કાન હિન્દુ આ તહેવારથી ભગવાન વિષ્ણુની અવતાર શ્રીકૃષ્ણ જન્મની રૂપમાં માનતા હતા. દિવસ પ્રતિ દિવસ તેમના ભક્તોની સંખ્યા વધતી જતી રહી છે જ્યારે સંસારમાં પાપ, અત્યાચાર, દ્વેષ અને અણગમો વધુ વધતા જાય છે, ધર્મનો નાશ થાય છે, સજજન અને દિન દુઃખોને સતાયા થાય છે ત્યારે આ દુનિયામાં એક મહાન શક્તિ અવતરે છે અને ધર્મ સ્થાપના કરે છે. શ્રીકૃષ્ણે પણ પૃથ્વી પર પણ અવતાર લીધેલું જ્યારે કન્સે અત્યાચાર ખૂબ જ વધી ગયો અને દિન દુ: ખી થઈ ગઈ. તેમની રચના જોવાથી ખૂબ જ આકર્ષક લાગે છે કારણ કે બધા ગોપનીયતા તેમને પર મોહિત છે. તેમના હાથમાં બસરી અને હેડ પર મોરપન્ચ લાગ્યું હતું શ્રીકૃષ્ણનું જન્મ: શ્રીકૃષ્ણનું જન્મ રાત 12 વાગ્યે તેમના મમા કન્સનું જેલ માં થયું હતું. હિન્દુ કૅલેન્ડર અનુસાર, કૃષ્ણ જન્મમાષ્ટમી શ્રાણ મહિનો કૃષ્ણ પક્ષના અશ્શેમીના દિવસે રોહિની નક્ષત્રમાં પડતી છે. તેના પિતાના નામ વાસુદેવ અને માતાના નામમાં દેવકી થાઓ. આ તહેવાર ઓગસ્ટ અથવા સપ્ટેમ્બરમાં આવે છે કૃષ્ણ જન્માષ્ટમીથી એક દિવસ પહેલાં, સપ્તમતી દિવસોએ લોકોની વર્તન રાખવી અને અડધો કલાક 12 વાગ્યે કૃષ્ણનું જન્મ થયા પછી ઘંટડીઓ બાંધીને શ્રીકૃષ્ણની આર્ટીતિની જાતિ હતી. ત્યાર બાદ લોકો તેમના સંબંધો અને પાડોશીઓમાં પ્રસ્તુત બાંટકર ખુશીથી વાતો કરે છે. તે પછી તેઓ પોતાનું ભોજન ખાતા છે આ તહેવાર ઉજવાય છે પૌરાણિક કથા: દેવકી કન્સની બહેન થિ અને કન્સ મથૂરાના રાજા હતા. તે મથૂરા રાજા અને તેના પિતા અગ્રેસેનને જેલમાં બંદી બનાવી અને પોતાની જાતને રાજા બન્યો કન્સને તેના બહેન પ્રાણસોથી પણ પ્રિય છે દેવકીના લગ્ન કન્સેકના મિત્ર વસુદેવની સાથે થયા હતા કન્સ ખૂબ જ ભયંકર છે જ્યારે તે પોતાની બહેન દેવકીને લગ્ન કર્યા પછી રથ પર તેના સસરાલ છોડી રહ્યા હતા ત્યારે ત્યાં એક અશ્લીય બન્યું – ‘જે બહેનથી તમે એટલા પ્રેમથી વિદા કરી રહ્યાં હો તેના આઠ વય સંતાન તમારી મૃત્યુનું કારણ બનગી’. આ આક્રમણકારોને સાંભળવું કન્સ ઘબર છે તેણે તેના બહેન અને તેના પતિને કારખાના બંધ કરી દીધું દેવકીને સાત દીકરા હતા પરંતુ કન્સે તેમને ખૂબ જ ભયભીત થયા હતા. જ્યારે દેવકીના એવુણે પોતાના દીકરાને જન્મ આપ્યો હતો. વસુદેવ પોતાના બાળકને ગોકુલ ના નંદબના ઘર છોડી આવ્યા અને તેમના છોકરાને લાવ્યા હતા. જયારે ગુજરી ગઈ ત્યારે વાસુદેવએ તે કન્યાને કન્સને સોંપી દીધો. કન્સે જેમ જેમ તેને પથ્થર પર પટ્ટા તો તે લડકી ઉડક આકાશમાં ગયો અને પૅટસ -ઝેતેએ કહ્યું કે તારું મરણ જીવતું છે અને ગોકુલ પહોંચ્યું છે. આ આક્રમણકારી કાન્સ ખૂબ ઘાબરા ગયા છે તેમણે કૃષ્ણને મારવા માટે ખૂબ પ્રયત્ન કર્યો તેમણે ઘણા બધા રાક્ષસોના જેવા – પુત્સણા, વાકાસુરને કૃષ્ણને મૃત્યુ કરવા માટે મોકલ્યાં પરંતુ કોઈ પણ કૃષ્ણને મારવા મળ્યા નથી. શ્રીકૃષ્ણ બધાએ કૃત કર્યું છે. જન્મજાતમ્ની મહત્વ: અમે લોકો પહેલેથી જ જાણે છે કે જેમ જ લગ્નજીવન શરૂ થાય છે. દરેક દંપતિની ઇચ્છા થવી જોઈએ કે સમગ્ર જીવન માટે તેને એક અનન્ય બાળક છે તેમ છતાં બધા જજોને આ આશીર્વાદ મળે છે પરંતુ કોઈકને જલદી આવે છે અને કોઈક કારણોસર કારણ બને છે માતૃત્વ ભેટ માટે બધા વિવાહિત સ્ત્રીઓ વક્ર રાખવા છે એવું માનવામાં આવે છે કે જે જાનમાશમીના દિવસો પૂર્ણ શ્રદ્ધતા અને વિશ્વાસ સાથે આ વર્તુળ પૂર્ણ કરે છે તેમને આ વર્તણૂકનું ફળ એક બાળકના આશીર્વાદ તરીકે મળે છે. જે સ્ત્રીઓને અવિવાહિત છે તે ભવિષ્યમાં એક સારા બાળકના કામના માટે આ દિવસની વાટ રાખવા પડશે. જ્યારે પતિ અને પત્ની બન્ને સંપૂર્ણ શ્રદ્ધા અને ભક્તિ સાથે વ્રત રાખતા હોય તો તે વધુ અસરકારક બનશે. લોકો સૂરોદયથી ઉઠી ગયા પછી નહ-ધૂપતાએ શુધ્ધ સુઘડ વસ્ત્રો તૈયાર કર્યા હતા પછીથી ઇશ્વર દેવની સંપૂર્ણ ભક્તિ અને વિશ્વાસ સાથે પૂજા કરશે
