Bu essay türünde belirli bir konu ile ilgili kişisel görüşlerinizi, sebepleri ile belirtmeniz gerekir. Argumentative essay yazacaksanız size sunulan konu başlığı ile ilgili görüşlerinizi savunmalısınız.     

Compare and Contrast Essay (Karşılaştırma)  

Bu essay türünde size verilecek iki veya daha fazla konuyu birbiriyle karşılaştıran bir metin oluşturmalısınız. Her konunun birbirine benzeyen yönleri ile birbirinden farklı yönlerini ve birbirlerinden daha iyi ya da daha kötü oldukları noktaları, bir olay örgüsü ile belirtmelisiniz.     

Cause and Effect Essay (Sebep Sonuç)  

Bu essay türünde, bir olgunun sebeplerini ve sonuçlarını ele almalısınız. Ayrıca, bu sebep ve sonuçlara dair çeşitti açıklamalar yapmanız da gerekir.    

Process Essay (Süreç)  

Bu essay türünde, bir durumun veya belli bir sürede gelişen bir olayın aşamalarını ele almalısınız.    

Opinion Essay (Düşünce)  

Bu essay türünde ise belirli bir konu hakkındaki fikirlerinizi sistematik bir biçimde yazılı olarak ifade etmelisiniz. Opinion essay yazarken fikrinizi giriş paragrafında açıkça ifade etmeniz gerekir.

İngilizce Opinion Essay Örnekleri    

Türkçeye fikir, görüş yazısı olarak çevirebileceğimiz opinion essay, bir konudaki fikirlerinizi iki yüz- üç yüz kelime ile ifade ettiğiniz bir kompozisyon türüdür. Not knowing how it is harmful to our health, junk food is something that people have been eating for a long time now. This type of foods are processed foods they have a higher level of fat, sugar, calorie, carbohydrates, and salt and they have a lower level of protein, vitamins, and minerals. Junk food is used as a source of relaxing, entertainment and emotional eating. Many people have junk food regularly and the use of junk food is increasing especially among young people. Some argue that junk food is a really harmful thing to have and others support the idea that if you just not consume that type of food everyday, that will be okay. From my point of view, junk food is harmful for us, because it might lead to serious health problems even if you do not consume that type everyday.

To begin with, junk food is harmful for us because it might lead to a variety of health problems. Many people who have this kind of unhealthy food frequently face some health issues like risk of obesity, digestion problems, heart disease and even cancer.

What is more, people who consume junk food regularly, tend to be more depressed. They do not prefer to go out a lot and they stay away from physical activities that keep them healthy. For this reason, they develop problems such as obesity and depression. Therefore junk food is harmful for humans.

Secondly, junk food causes a weight gain, therefore your appearance would also change and probably you will not be so confident as before about your appearance. You would seem unhealthy and fatty. As a result, junk food has a negative impact on people.

When everything is taken into account/consideration, whether junk food is harmful for human body or not is a controversial issue. There are different opinions on this issue. However, I believe that junk food is very harmful for human body because it might damage our health and it might have negative effects on our appearances as well. In order to prevent such problems, it is important to limit the time people having junk food and maybe just block them to have junk food all the time.

İngilizce TOEFL Essay Örnekleri

Question: Grades encourage students to work harder at school. Do you agree or disagree? Use specific reasons and examples to support your opinion.

It is crucial to work as hard as possible when you are a student. In my point of view, students can be motivated to work more by the grades they get. I will explore the two reasons of my opinion in the following essay.

First of all, it is not a bad idea to grade students for a more comprehensive knowledge of academic subjects that they can get. People usually spend more time working on the things that they have to, if they will get a payment or a award for that.

For example a student would spend more time working on his or her project if he or she would know he or she will get a grade on that project. Spending more time on a project would open the door for getting more information and more comprehension about the subject.

On the other hand, some people do not have the motivation to get better grades and will not study so hard. These people will not deeply understand their subjects. Personally, as a student grades were not so important to me. At my first year of the university, I had to prepare a project for a philosophy class that I was attending.

Teacher of this course, told us that this project would make up about half of our total grade for that course. I thought this was not a fair grading, so I did not study to that project at all. If the project had not been graded, I would have spent so much time to prepare it. But also, I know that generally people are triggered with the award system. It is obvious that students all over the world are motivated to work so hard for the change of high grades from their teachers.

For the next step, I will talk about grades motivating students due to the fact that they are a way to determine which people in a group are most clever. Some can say that, grades clearly show which students in the class are the most intelligent. It is obviously a debatable subject, but why not?

That idea would be a motivation to a student. The student would study so hard to show his or her classmates and teacher that she or he is the cleverest. When considering the competitive academic environment this would be a absolute motivation for a student.

To sum up, I strongly believe that grades motivates students to learn and study more. This is because they ensure students to learn as much as they can, and because they give young learners a way to differentiate themselves from their classmates.

Question : Some people like to do only what they already do well. Other people prefer to try new things and take risks. Which do you prefer?

Nowadays the majority of people find the new experiences challenging. It is hard to disagree that to do things only what you already do well brings certain benefits to individuals. However, new experiences offer them more opportunities for development and entertainment.

To begin with, there are various reasons why doing the things that is familiar to you can be considered easier than taking new adventures. First of all, when people are doing something that they already doing well they will feel more comfortable about themselves.

Obviously, they have the knowledge that, they somehow do that particular thing before and know how to handle it. Secondly, if someone does a thing that he or she is good at, it will not take so much time. So it would not be a waste of time at all, thus doing only what you already do well has more advantages.

On the other hand, new experiences open the doors for development. Development is a need for human life. Experiencing new things brings the development. If people do not take risks at all he or she would have a stable life in a safe zone for them. For learning new things, discovering new opportunities and cultures one should always take risks and choose new experiences.

In conclusion, though doing the thing that you already good at is a certain and easier thing to do, it is finally the new experiences bring the development and from my point of view that is the most precious thing for a person to gain. People should not be afraid of the new adventures.

There has been a controversy about whether the college education is the key to a successful like or not. As far as I am concerned, even though experience is important as much as the education it is not enough and college education is the key to a successful life.

First of all, it is an important point to define success to ourselves. Is it being rich, being an intellectual or just being a peaceful mind? Although there is a controversy about this term, generally people accept that a successful life is where you have enough money, a peaceful family and enough knowledge.

Now the question is, whether the college education is a key to a successful life or not. In my point of view, college education is necessary for being successful in this world.

College provide us proper knowledge, effective guides, and links to employers. Having the proper knowledge and skills are required for being prepared for a job you want. If you do not want to have a “simple” job, if you want to have a prestigious occupation, you would better develop yourself. Getting the education for an any occupation, would open the door for you to be selected easily.

Teachers at the college have years of experiences and a good command of scientific knowledge. Thus, they are the greatest advisers in teaching a person the way to his or her coming success. In addition, the teachers can offer a basic of well pruned knowledge to their students in a reasonably short period of time due to their numbers of studies on the topics related to their fields of specialty.

To all appearances, it is obvious that most of the successful figures of today’s world have a bachelor’s degree. College prepare students in a short process, unlike the self-education, for professions. Students learn specialties that is impossible to be learnt out of the college and are highly expected by society. Thus, I am concerned that college education is a key for being successful in modern world of technology and professionalism.

What is English B1 Level? Writing and Essay Ideas & Examples

English Levels consist of 6 English levels in total. These levels are; A1 and A2 (Basic User), B1 and B2 (Independent User), C1 and C2 (Proficient User). This code system is created by The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages ​​(CEFR).

English level B1 is the first level in the independent user level group. It indicates that the knowledge of English is at an intermediate level . If it is explained in general terms, “as an English learning level, people who have received an average of 200 lessons in the English course and can speak English at an intermediate level” can now switch to B1 level. At this level in English you easily could be able to communicate about common topics such as culture, work, social events and leisure with the four skills of English, Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing.

With the B1 level of English, you can meet all your needs during your travels abroad, communicate on familiar topics and make new friendships. Your ability to understand English at B1 level is higher than at A2 level and you can speak at an intermediate level. Usually in speaking, you express yourself with short and repetitive sentences instead of long and complex sentences.

How Do You Know If You Are at B1 Level in English?

The best way to understand your English level is to take a test. You can measure your English level with exams such as TOEFL and IELTS.

The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) are likely the best and most commonly known English proficiency tests. They are widely accepted by American universities too.

Therefore, they can’t start their work on time. For example, the people who work for big companies can be late. When people can’t finish their job on time, they have to stay in their office longer. This limits their free time so they feel unhappy. Secondly, the cars which are stuck in traffic jams cause air pollution. This air pollution has negative effects not only on nature but also on people who live in cities. Air pollution causes serious health problems. Finally, traffic congestion causes people to feel angry so some people can make dangerous things. To give an example, they can argue and fight with other drivers in traffic jams. Briefly, traffic congestion has negative effects on people’s psychology.

Narrative Essay

Narrative essay, amacı bir hikaye anlatmak veya bir olayı anlatmak olan essay türüdür. Information will soon be so easy to find on the internet that people will not need to remember anything. Do you agree?

Nowadays all the information we could ever need is available online and some people say that means the end of having to learn anything.

It is true that these days everything you want to know is a few clicks away as long as you have internet access. However, not everyone has working internet all the time, for example in certain buildings or remote locations, so we do need to be able to remember information. Moreover, it takes time to look up everything you need to know online, whereas remembering something is immediate. The human memory is a much more efficient system.

Another problem is the quality of the information online. How do we know if it is accurate or reliable? We need to think about other facts we know and remember how to compare information from different websites. Knowing (and remembering) how to find certain information will be more important than knowing the information itself.

Finally, the internet is a good tool but it is not a useful replacement for our brains. If we did not remember anything, we would all spend even more time on our phones and computers than we already do, which is not good for society.

In conclusion, the internet offers us many things but it is still important to use our knowledge and memories. We need our memories to function without the internet and we also need to know how to use the internet properly.

• Introduce your essay by restating the question in your own words.
• Show understanding of both sides of the argument.

I think the use of the internet is not only in conflict with learning, but It has made the speed of learning faster and more comfortable.

On the one hand, With the advent of the internet and access to data whenever we want, we were able to free our minds from memorizing a lot of unnecessary data. It caused that instead of spending our time to remember the formulas and data, we use our time for a deeper understanding of the concepts. Concentration on understanding was a big step in order to make us more clear about how to apply scientific concepts practically, and It made the evolutionary process of turning scientific concepts into experimental tests go faster. Going through this evolutionary process quickly, in turn, caused, firstly, the faster growth of modern technologies and, secondly, the creation of many new data, concepts, and sciences. And now the data volume is so much that not only you can never remember or learn them, but you have to choose the best one that works for you. Somehow, the internet has changed how to learn. It has focused on analyzing the options and choosing the best one to learn Instead of memorizing a bunch of content.

On the other hand, Theoretically speaking, One of the laws In the world is that everything can be useful or harmful in turn. This law also applies to the internet. I think it depends on the type of information. Some information are easier to remember, and hence it's more efficient to have them in memory instead of looking for them online. However, some complex information is offered online, and it will be impractical if we tried to remember it. Additionally, I believe that learning is not just about acquiring knowledge. It's about learning how to think with this knowledge available and solve problems efficiently. That's why the internet is considered a valuable tool to promote learning, not to replace it.

Nowadays we are witnesses how far technology has developed in a short time. A huge of information is backing up on internet and if you have access of surfing you can find any information that you are looking for. However, there are some relevant aspects that should be taking into account when we are talking about using always internet instead of learning. In this sense, the purpose of this essay will be to explain why it is not a good idea. Firstly, as you know, most of the information on internet is fake. For that reason, it is impossible the learning process can be replaced by internet use. If you are looking for reliable information you have to learn how it works. In other words you need of learning even if you want to use internet all the time because you have to discern what of all information is useful for you purpose. It is about my hometown: My hometown is a beautiful, attractive and cool. N'beika is one of the most famous places in Mauritania where attractive views and economic capacities are in. It is located in Tagant which is in middle of the map. Therefore, It is one the biggest cities in the country. As there are interesting geographical features such as: high Mountains, nice valleys, light hills and wonderful pools. Historically, N'beika played an important role in culture, trade exchange and fighting colonialist. Also it has saved historical landmarks, for example: manuscripts, books and cities which the most important is Gasr Albarka. In the north, there have tourist views and in the East big mountains with lovely valleys like Matmata where there are some Alligators in and other attractive animals. As well as from the south and the west there are some fields, forests and farms. Moreover, people are interested in agriculture, trade, development and education. Furthermore, there are many schools and Mahidras and three colleges providing well-deserved education to students. What's more, mall shops is offering demands and created jobs for unemployment. There are different favourite for people , some of them are crazy about football as youth, and some people like doing agriculture and development. Moreover, there are entrepreneurs doing a small business like selling clothes, pitch, barbershop... etc. In conclusion, N'beika is a gift of Allah that has given to people to spend nice moments in order to feel happy and to invest for everything we want due to gain lots of money .

I think that my country has problems with pollution to the environment like all other countries. This problem is normal for Russia. We have big problems with transport because there are too much cars in our country. And because of that we have problems with atmospeer, air in my city and in all Russia is really dirty and sometimes I can’t make a sigh because it smells around me and of course around that cars on the road. I’ve heard about tradition of one country. They don’t go anywhere by car one day a month or a year, they just use bycicle or their feet. I think it could be very good if we had a tradition like that.

So, what about the rivers and the seas? Yeah, there are some really good and clean rivers and seas where you can go, but there are not many of them. Once I saw the river OB in my city, it was about two years ago but I stil remember that in some places it was not blue, it was green or purple I didn’t really understand because it had different colours.

I don’t know what should we do. Maybe we should just open our eyes and look what we did. But Russian people don’t care about the world around them many people care only about themselves an that’s all.

If a country decided to live isolated from the rest of the world, living on what it can naturally grow and produce, it surely wouldn’t be highly polluted. But we all want exotic food and technological items from all over the world, so we have to pay the price.

Investing on electrical transport would benefit the environment a lot. Even more if this electricity came from a natural source of energy like wind, rivers and solar boards. It’s difficult to achieve this because petrol companies will fight against these actions.

We also have to take care of our rivers and seas. We all have heard about factories throwing highly toxic substances to rivers, without minimizing their poisoning effects. A really strict law should be applied to fine these factories and make them change their policy.

But what about ourselves? We also can do a lot! If, when possible, we bought larger packs of food, we would be producing less rubbish. And this is only an example!

Learning a a foreign languages is very important nowadays. English, in particular, is essential because it allows is spoken all over the world. That’s the reason why we start studying it from the age of six years old. Going abroad and being able to speak to native people is very satisfying and that’s why I want to improve my knowledge about foreign languages.

I decided to take this exam to know how high my level of English is, but also because I need this certification to go abroad next summer. I really want to come back to Cornwall, an amazing region in the South-West of England. I’ve been there twice with my family, but now I want to go alone. Only being there to England I can really improve my English comprehension and speaking skills.

Fortunately I can will have some English lessons which taught in English at university and I can’t wait for it because it will be an interesting challenge for me.
