Room, where I live, I cannot say I entirely owned as the TV set here. Parents come to me to watch TV together. As for the rest – I have a full-fledged master. My bookcase and shelves, desk, sofa, where I sleep, bedside-table, where I keep my game – everything is exactly in this room. And here it is worth a large comfortable chair. If you stay in it with his feet, it can be a long time to read your favorite book.

There in my room a small area where the tape posted on the walls different boxes, beautiful pictures, hang two cards. Tablets I collect for a long time. For example, these: “No smoking”, “Keep quiet,” “Save Energy”. They hung haphazardly. Some of them, I found myself, others gave friends. Mom promises to take them off, but I like it more. On one of the cards – our area.

The British called their own home fortress. And not without reason: after only being at home, one feels peace and tranquility. For me, this is the stronghold of my room, where I spend most of my free time. The room is comfortable because there is only what you need, there is always a procedure, and a large window lets in plenty of suns. Even if someone seems a little room, I have enough space. Near the window is a table in a light-beige tone.

At the opposite wall – a place where I sleep: sofa with soft blue upholstery. It does not take much space.

I decompose it at night and in the morning return to its original position. Here it is worth a massive wardrobe. In it – a neat pile of my things, hangers with school and formal attire. 250 Words Essay on My Room

My room, my sanctuary, is more than just a physical space. It’s a canvas, reflecting my personality, my thoughts, and my aspirations. A room might seem an ordinary subject, yet it is a microcosm of one’s world, a mirror of one’s inner self.

My room’s layout is a blend of functionality and aesthetics. The room is dominated by a large window that lets in an abundance of natural light. A desk sits against one wall, cluttered with books, a laptop, and stationery, signifying my academic pursuits. The bed, on the other side, symbolizes rest and rejuvenation. The walls are adorned with posters of my favorite bands and inspirational quotes, revealing my tastes and values.

The Significance

Each element in my room carries a story, a memory, or a dream. The worn-out rug on the floor speaks of countless nights spent mulling over philosophical conundrums. The guitar in the corner whispers tales of my musical journey. The room, thus, is an archive of my life, preserving fragments of my existence.

My room is a sanctuary, a creative space, and a reflection of who I am. It’s a testament to my growth and evolution as a person. It’s not just a room, it’s an intimate part of my identity. As Virginia Woolf once advocated for a room of one’s own, I recognize the profound significance of this personal space in shaping my thoughts, my creativity, and ultimately, my life.

500 Words Essay on My Room

The sanctuary of solitude: my room.

My room, a sanctuary of solitude, is an embodiment of my personality and a mirror to my soul. It is a space that resonates with my thoughts, my dreams, my aspirations, and my fears. It provides a canvas where I can paint the colors of my imagination, and a stage where I can rehearse my life’s drama.

Architectural Aesthetics

The architectural aesthetics of my room are a blend of modern and traditional elements. The walls are adorned with a soothing shade of blue, symbolizing tranquility and calmness. The room is spacious, with a large window that ushers in the morning sun, creating a symphony of light and shadows. The wooden flooring adds a touch of earthiness, grounding the room’s overall aesthetic.

Personalized Decor

The decor of my room is a reflection of my personal taste and interests. A bookshelf teeming with a diverse collection of books, from philosophy to fantasy, stands in one corner. A desk cluttered with papers, pens, and a laptop signifies my academic pursuits. The walls are adorned with posters of my favorite bands and inspirational quotes, revealing my love for music and my philosophical inclinations.

Comfort and Functionality

Comfort and functionality are the cornerstones of my room’s design. The bed, with its plush comforter and a multitude of pillows, offers a haven for rest and relaxation. A comfortable chair and a desk provide a conducive environment for study and work. The room also boasts a small closet, meticulously organized, reflecting my penchant for orderliness.

Emotional Connection

My room is not just a physical space; it’s an emotional retreat. It has witnessed my moments of joy, my tears of sorrow, my frustration, and my triumphs. It’s where I retreat when the world becomes too overwhelming, a place where I can be myself without any pretense or judgment. The room, with its familiar scent and comforting silence, provides an anchor in the stormy sea of life.

In conclusion, my room is a microcosm of my world. It is a space that encapsulates my personality, my interests, and my emotions. It is a testament to my journey, my growth, and my evolution as an individual. It is more than just four walls and a ceiling; it is a sanctuary that offers solace, comfort, and inspiration. It is, in essence, an extension of myself.

That’s it! I hope the essay helped you.

How to cite a report, using grammarly placed a student on academic probation, describing my room essay: sample for students.

Admin

The door is white, with some scratches at the bottom from my pug scraping it with her claws. My pug scratches the door when she wants to come into my room. The door handle is brown and metal. At the complete bottom of the door is a rubber flap, which I do not know the reason why it is there. The room is about three lengths of my arm span, including the closet.

The floor in my room is wooden, and it creaks when stepped on. However, I do have one white, plush carpet approximately in the middle of the floor. It is rather clean-looking, considering it is white and that it is not washed regularly.

To the left of the door is a leather chair, of which is of no particular use, besides hanging half-used clothes on it. Past the chair is my electronic station, where I charge my phone at night, and charge my shaver during the day. Also, center-left is a rectangular window overlooking our backyard garden and swimming pool. It is a pleasant view for a cold room.

Center-left and far-left is my queen-size bed, with white and grey covers, and white and other colors for the blanket. The blanket in particular has a floral design and is heavy. My pillow has a white case and nothing else to it. The frame of the bed is wooden and beige in color.

Above, to the right of the bed, is a narrow, elongated window, which allows one to view the sky and neighbor’s fence. On the sill, there is a candle lamp, of which I never use. I can often find dead insects on the sill as well, such as flies.

Below that window is my meditation altar to the right, and a small table to the left of the altar, which houses books and random papers. It is barely big enough to hold these books and papers in an organized fashion. My meditation altar is covered in a red cotton cloth and features a picture of my meditation teacher. There is a candle in front of the picture of my teacher.

To the right of the altar is my closet, which contains a rack of sweaters, a suit, scarfs, and belts. There is also a brown, lean dresser, which has the rest of my clothes in it. On the floor, below the rack, there are miscellaneous items, such as an extra blanket, shoes, and hair oil. Right before the closet on the left of it, and before the altar, is my tabla drums, replete with a hammer and a small bottle of talcum powder.

The walls are all white, except the back room, which is covered with a blue, mosaic-patterned cloth. The curtains over the large window are also white and see-through, which almost defeat the purpose of having them. The ceiling is white, but with black blotches above the meditation altar because of candle and incense smoke.

It is one of the coldest rooms in our house, as the windows are quite old and thin, and lack insulation. During autumn and winter, sometimes a heater is brought in to feel comfortable. However, with enough heavy blankets, sleep is manageable.

It is a simple room without much purpose other than sleeping, meditating, and playing percussion. But I am a down-to-earth person, and it matches what I need.

We had assigned to dorm room 667 which, it turns out, wasn’t one of the nice add-on rooms in the south hall. No, we found ourselves in the older wing of the building on the 6th floor. I wasn’t too bummed out, though; at least they’d honored my request to room with my best friend. Lydia and I spent most of the morning moving ourselves in. By the time our Resident Advisor

my birth, my parents got a phone call. It started with “I have some good news, and some bad news.” The realtor had called to tell them, that the house was theirs; sadly my parents also had to deal with a car that had smashed into the front porch during the previous night’s liquor store robbery. My Number One - 678 Words

“My number One” Personally, everyone I know has experienced that “Aha!” moment in their life that has changed the way they look at the world. My oldest daughter was peacefully asleep in her room, and I was lying in bed enjoying HGTV when the pain began. It was a sharp, tightening pain in my lower stomach, and it was coming and going in waves. I soon realized I was experiencing contractions. I tried desperately to ignore the pain, thinking maybe it would stop. How could this be? It was two days before my scheduled cesarean section

I felt like I was in a different world. Moving into a new room knowing you would be living there for most of your time, playing a sport with not having a clue who anyone on the team is, or having new teachers in a classroom, that is a whole new world that I had to conquer. When I first moved into my room I thought it was rather ugly. I didn't even have a nice view. I get to spy on people playing wiffle ball. How is that any fun? My room has white walls with I guess you could call them bricks. The

When we got to the hospital at 5 a.m. and I was changing into the white and blue floral hospital gown, the fear hit me like a car crash. It only intensified from there when the nurse started to prep me for the operation. She rolled her hospital cart in and put the IV on the hanger then swabbed my arm with an ice-cold iodine solution. A Place I Call Home

My home is situated in the city. It is not too big nor too small, just the perfect size. My family lives in the home. It comprises of my father, mother, sister and grandparents. We live in our ancestral home so my home is very vintage.

It is very old but remains to be super strong. There are six rooms in my home. Each family member has a unique room which they have decorated as per their liking. For instance, my elder sister is a big fan of music, so her walls are filled with posters of musicians like BTS, RM, and more.

Our drawing room is a large one with a high ceiling. We still use the vintage sofa set which my grandmother got as a wedding gift. Similarly, there is a vintage TV and radio which she uses till date.

Adjoining the drawing room is my bedroom. It is my favourite room because it contains everything that I love. I have a pet guinea pig which lives in a cage in my room. We also have a storeroom which is filled with things we don’t use but also cannot discard.

Our lawn in front of the house has a little garden. In that garden , my mother is growing her own kitchen garden. She is passionate about it and brings different seeds every month to grow them out and use them in our food.

The fondest memories I have in a place is my terrace. Our terrace is huge with many plants. I remember all the good times we have spent there as a family. Moreover, we play there a lot when my cousins come over. Thus, every nook and corner of my home is special to me.

My small house may be tiny in size, but it is bursting with charm and coziness that make it a special place for me. Situated in a quiet corner of the neighborhood, my cute little house stands out with its colorful exterior and welcoming front porch that beckons visitors with its friendly vibe.

As I step through the front door, I am greeted by a snug living room that feels like a warm hug. The space may be small, but it is filled with love and laughter, making it the heart of our home. A comfy sofa sits against the wall, inviting me to sink into its soft cushions and relax after a long day at school. The kitchen, though compact, is a bustling hub of activity where delicious meals are cooked with care and shared with family. Every inch of space is cleverly utilized, from the neatly organized cabinets to the cozy dining nook where we gather for meals and conversations. The aroma of freshly baked cookies or simmering soup fills the air, creating a sense of comfort and warmth. Upstairs, my bedroom is a cozy retreat that reflects my personality and interests. The limited space has been transformed into a magical haven where I can dream, play, and unwind. A colorful bedspread adorns my bed, while shelves filled with books and toys add a touch of whimsy to the room.

One of the most delightful features of my small house is its backyard, a tiny oasis of greenery and tranquility where nature’s wonders unfold. A small garden patch blooms with vibrant flowers and fragrant herbs, attracting butterflies and bees that flit about in the sunshine. A swing set beneath a shady tree offers hours of fun and laughter as I soar through the air with glee. Despite its size, my small house is filled with big memories and moments that make it truly special. From family movie nights in the living room to impromptu picnics in the backyard, every corner of my house is alive with joy, love, and togetherness.

In conclusion, my small house may be petite in size, but it is grand in charm, coziness, and character that make it a cherished haven for me. Its compact layout encourages creativity and imagination in design, while its warm ambiance fosters a sense of comfort and belonging. My cute little house may be small on the outside, but it is mighty in love, laughter, and happiness – qualities that truly make it feel like home.

My house in Delhi is not a grand mansion, but a cozy middle-class home that holds a special place in my heart. Situated in a bustling neighborhood, it stands tall with four floors that offer ample space for my family and me to live, play, and create memories together. Despite its modest size, our house is filled with love, laughter, and warmth that make it a cherished haven for us.

As I walk through the front door of our house, I am greeted by a cozy living room on the ground floor that serves as the heart of our home. The walls are adorned with family photos and colorful artwork, creating a cheerful and inviting atmosphere. A comfortable sofa and a small coffee table sit in the center of the room, inviting us to relax and unwind after a long day at school or work.

The kitchen, located on the first floor, is a bustling hub of activity where delicious meals are prepared with love and care. The aroma of spices and cooking fills the air as we gather around the dining table to share stories and laughter. Despite its compact size, the kitchen is well-equipped with all the essentials needed to whip up our favorite dishes and treats.

Each floor of our house has its own unique charm and purpose. The second floor houses our bedrooms – cozy retreats where we rest and recharge after a busy day. My room is filled with my favorite toys, books, and posters that reflect my interests and personality. From my bed by the window, I can watch the world go by and daydream about adventures yet to come.

The third floor is a versatile space that serves as a family room where we come together to watch movies, play games, or simply spend quality time with each other. The walls are lined with shelves filled with board games, books, and family photos that tell the story of our lives. It is a space where memories are made and bonds are strengthened through shared experiences and laughter.

The fourth floor leads to our rooftop terrace – a hidden gem that offers panoramic views of the city skyline. From here, we can watch the sunset paint the sky in hues of orange and pink, listen to the sounds of the city below, or simply bask in the warmth of the sun on lazy afternoons. It is a peaceful retreat where we can escape the hustle and bustle of daily life and enjoy moments of tranquility together.

In conclusion, my house in Delhi may not be extravagant or luxurious, but it is filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments that make it truly special. Its four floors offer ample space for us to live, play, and grow together as a family. From cozy bedrooms to bustling kitchens, from family rooms to rooftop terraces, every corner of our house holds memories and experiences that shape who we are and bring us closer together. Our middle-class home may not be grand in size or stature, but it is rich in love, warmth, and happiness – qualities that truly make it feel like home for me and my family.

Help   My room (short essay)

  • Thread starter imyourjoy
  • Start date 9 Dec 2021

HI, I've written a short essay about my room after learning Lesson 9 and 10 of the Minna no Nihongo textbook. It would be great if you can point out parts that are wrong or might sound weird to a native speaker so that I can improve my Japanese. I will add English translations under each line for better understanding. Also, with the limited vocabulary and sentence patterns that I have learnt, I am not sure if the way of concluding/ending my writing is correct, please let me know if there are better ways to do it. Any help is very much appreciated, Thank you in advance! My essay is attached below: わたしの へや わたしは ちいさい へやが あります。 I have a small room. へやは ちいさいですから、なかに いろいろなものが ありません。 Because my room is small, I don't have a lot of things in it へやの ドアの うしろに テーブルが あります。 There is a table behind the door of my room. わたしは いつも そこで べんきょうします。 I always study there. テーブルの うえに わたしの パソコンが あります。 There is a computer on top of the table. その パソコンは きょねん たんじょうびの プレゼントです。 That computer was my birthday present last year. おかさんから もらいました。 I got it from my mom. テーブルの となりに ベッドが あります。 There is a bed next to the table わたしは ときどき そこで フランスごの えいがを みます。 I sometimes watch French movies there. わたしは フランスごが あまりわかりませんですが、とてもおもしろいですから、フランスごの えいがが すきです。 Although I don't understand much French, but I like to watch French movies because it is very interesting. ベッドの まえに たなが あります。 There is a shelf in front of the bed. たなの いちばんしたに やきゅうが あります。 There is a baseball at the first row of the shelf. これは わたしの へやです。 This is my room.

Toritoribe said: I would say わたしのへやはちいさいです/せまいです。. At least it should be わたし に は. いろいろなものがありません means you don't have most of things you usually have in your room. If you want to say you have few things there, あまり ものがありません is used. むこうに is more appropriate, not うしろに. It should be きょねん の . きょねん is an adverb, so そのパソコンはきょねんたんじょうびのプレゼントで もらいました。 is OK. わかりませんです is ungrammatical. やきゅう means "baseball" as a game. "Baseball" as a ball used in the game is やきゅう のボール . If this is the last sentence of your essay, it should be これ が . これはわたしのへやです。 is used at the beginning of your essay, or when you show a picture of your room, and continue your essay.
