Likewise, Weebly has blogging capabilities, but they’re not nearly as impressive as some of the other builders on our list. (But Weebly is the only brand in our top five that offers a free plan.)

Honestly, the website builders on this list don’t give you a choice. All of these builders bundle their builder with hosting, and they won’t allow you to build a site and then host it elsewhere. So if you build a site with Wix, expect to host it with Wix.

And frankly, that makes things pretty convenient for you. You won’t have to manage multiple logins or bills.

You’d really only need a separate hosting company if you opted to use the WordPress software but didn’t want to use it through WordPress.com. (WordPress.com bundles WordPress.org’s software with hosting.) In that case, you can check out the best web hosting providers to find the right host for your needs.

That’s one of those things that you have to answer for yourself.

To be clear, we at Business.org believe that business owners are totally capable of building a website themselves. That’s why we reviewed these builders and found which were the easiest, which made the most attractive sites, and which had the most customization options—because that will help you choose the builder that meets your needs.

And building your own website has some big advantages. For one, you get to maintain total control over your website, so there’s no need to worry about a developer going AWOL on you, going rogue after a dispute (Jurassic Park, anyone?), or simply not understanding your vision.

Plus, in most cases, you can build a website yourself much more cheaply than you can hire a developer to build it for you. Your small business probably has a tight budget, so if you can save some money by putting in a little web work yourself, why not?

The EU agri-food business delegation to China aims to facilitate European agricultural food and beverage exports.

EU Agriculture Commissioner Janusz Wojciechowski will be visiting China on 21-26 April 2024, accompanied by a business delegation of senior representatives from the EU agri-food sector, in conjunction with the European Commission’s presence at Anuga Select China fair with an EU pavilion. The purpose of this visit is to facilitate European agricultural food and beverage exports to China and expand their presence on this market.

The Commission invites business representatives of the following sectors to apply:

  • meat products
  • chocolate, cereals and pasta
  • confectionery and bakery
  • wines, beer and spirits
  • olive oil and vegetable oils
  • infant food and baby milk powder
  • geographical indication products
  • commodities such as grains, oilseeds and animal feed, pet food
  • fruits and vegetables

How to participate?

The Commissioner would like to include in his business delegation European and national producers’ organisations and companies from all EU Member States with strong export potential that preferably have not participated in such EU projects before. The final selection of the business representatives will be based on product and geographical balance of the delegation. In this context the candidates’ representativeness of a given sector, their capacity to conduct international business and accessing challenging markets will also be considered. The visit to China will concentrate on providing market intelligence in the food and beverage sector, business-to-business activities, as well as retail and site visits. The programme of the business delegation will provide the representatives of the European agri-food sector with an excellent platform to discover the Chinese market and to make direct business contacts both in Shanghai as well as in Shenzen (mainly at Anuga Select China fair).

The costs of flights and hotels are covered by the participants themselves, but all business events from the official programme, including local transport and the transit between Shanghai and Shenzen, will be covered by the European Commission.

Description.

China is the third agri-food export market for EU-27 (after the US and UK) and the fifth supplier for the EU. The EU is committed to open trading relations with China.

The EU’s engagement with China is guided by the 2019 EU Strategic Outlook, which promotes reciprocity, a level playing field and fair competition. The strategy includes a strong focus on improving market access (related to EU agri-food exports to China) which is, by far, the top priority for EU countries in China as far as agriculture is concerned.

On 1 March 2021 the EU and China bilateral agreement came into force to protect, 96 European Geographical Indications (GI) in China and 100 Chinese GI in the EU against imitations and usurpation. This agreement is the first significant trade agreement between the European Union and China, a milestone in EU-China cooperation. This landmark agreement is expected to result in reciprocal trade benefits and demand for high-quality products on both sides. A second list of 175 GIs on each side will be protected four years after entry into force, the European Commission is currently working on the next steps with China. The High Level Mission could be the opportunity to have a discussion on intellectual property rights in China which would be of interest to EU producers.

The European Union has been involved in promoting EU agricultural food and beverage products in China by co-financing 60 ongoing promotion campaigns proposed by organisations from different Member States and targeting the country, as well as the European Commission’s promotion campaign ‘Colours by Europe. Manage installed add-ins

To manage and view information about your installed add-ins, perform the following:

Select  File > Get Add-ins .   Alternatively, select  Home  >  Add-ins > More add-ins .

In the Office Add-ins dialog, select the  My Add-ins tab.

Select  Manage My Add-ins . This opens the Office Store page in your preferred browser with a list of your installed add-ins.

Remove an add-in

To remove an add-in you installed, follow these steps.

Select  File  > Get Add-ins . Alternatively, select  Home > Add-ins .

In the Office Add-ins dialog, select  My Add-ins  tab.

Select an add-in you want to remove and right click to select  Remove  option.

Note:  Add-ins that appear in the  Admin Managed  section of the Office Add-ins dialog can only be removed by your organization's administrator.

Cancel an add-in subscription

To discontinue your subscription to an add-in, do the following:

Open the Microsoft 365 application and select the Home  tab.

Select  Add-ins from the ribbon,   then select  More Add-ins .

Select the My Add-ins tab   to view your existing add-ins.

Select  Manage My Add-ins .

Under the Payment and Billing section, choose Cancel Subscription .

Select  OK ,   then Continue .

Once you've cancelled your subscription, you should see a message that says "You have cancelled your app subscription" in the comments field of your add-in list.

Manage an add-in's access to your devices

Note:  The information in this section only applies to Excel on the web, Outlook on the web, PowerPoint on the web, and Word on the web running in Chromium-based browsers, such as Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome.

When an installed add-in requires access to your devices, such as your camera or microphone, you will be shown a dialog with the option to allow, allow once, or deny permission.

If you select  Allow , the add-in will have access to the requested devices. The permission you grant persists until you uninstall the add-in or until you clear the cache of the browser where the add-in is running.

If you select  Allow Once , the add-in will have access to the requested devices until it's relaunched in the browser.

FAA lifts temporary ground stop of Alaska Airlines flights after technical issue is resolved

Alaska Airlines Boeing 737 airliners sit on the tarmac

The Federal Aviation Administration lifted a ground stop for all Alaska Airlines flights Wednesday after grounding the planes earlier as a result of a computer problem at the carrier.

The Seattle-based airline said in a statement that an issue arose “while performing an upgrade to the system that calculates our weight and balance.”

The FAA initially approved a ground stop for all Alaska and Horizon flights starting at approximately 10:50 a.m. ET.

It was lifted just before 11:45 a.m. ET.

It wasn't immediately clear how many flights were affected. An Alaska spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Atlas, a Humanoid Robot From Boston Dynamics, Is Leaping Into Retirement

It has been replaced by a new model, which will be used in automotive manufacturing. A farewell video featured the old machine running outdoors, performing back flips and awkwardly shimmying.

A humanoid robot is leaping and lifting its arms inside a warehouse facility.

Atlas, the humanoid robot that dazzled followers for more than a decade with its outdoor running, awkward dancing and acrobatic back flips, has powered down. In other words, it is retiring.

On Wednesday, Boston Dynamics, the company that created it, announced the arrival of the next generation of humanoid robots — a fully electric robot (also named Atlas) for real-world commercial and industrial applications.

For anyone worried about what would happen to the hydraulic bipedal machine (a robot home? the junkyard? a window display?) that was created for research purposes, the company had an answer. A spokesman, Nikolas Noel, said that retirement would mean that the Atlas would move to its “robot retirement home,” which is to say that it would be “sitting in our office lobby museum” with other decommissioned robots.

The old Atlas was used to research full-body mobility and to explore what was possible in robotics, Mr. Noel said. It was not designed for commercial use and was first developed as part of a competition to further the use of robots “in future natural and man-made disasters,” according to the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency of the Pentagon.

“For almost a decade, Atlas has sparked our imagination, inspired the next generations of roboticists and leapt over technical barriers in the field,” Boston Dynamics said in a farewell video posted on social media on Tuesday.

“Now it’s time for our hydraulic Atlas robot to kick back and relax,” the company said.

The company’s farewell video captured the brawny 6-foot-2 machine in action over the years. That included taking a stroll in a grassy field, leaping on boxes (or picking up 10-pound ones), carefully walking on a rock bed and awkwardly shimmying.

But the video also featured some mishaps, including the robot’s frequent stumbles such as falling over on platforms, rolling down a hill and leaking hydraulic fluid from its leg inside a lab.

The new model has a big round head that spins completely around, is leaner and can nimbly rise from a horizontal position to a bipedal stance in seconds. Its hips appear to be reversible, so it might be better than us at some yoga poses.

The company’s commercial models include Spot, an agile four-legged robot, and Stretch, an elongated warehouse platform.

“The new Atlas builds on decades of research and furthers our commitment to delivering the most capable, useful mobile robots solving the toughest challenges in industry today: with Spot, with Stretch, and now with Atlas,” the company wrote in a video post introducing the new robot .

The new model will be used to build “the next generation of automotive manufacturing capabilities” with Hyundai Motor Company, which owns Boston Dynamics.

The original Atlas made its public debut in 2013 in Waltham, Mass., where Boston Dynamics is based, after it received initial funding from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency.

The company was awarded a $10.8 million contract to work with the agency on developing Atlas for the D.A.R.P.A. Robotics Challenge.

There were seven updated Atlases, each of which was made from aircraft-grade aluminum and titanium and weighed 330 pounds. They were then used as base models by teams competing for a $2 million prize in the challenge. But the final challenge was won by a Korean team that built a robot that could kneel and roll around on wheels as it performed tasks.

During its training, researchers were tough on the Atlas, even hurling weights at it to see how well it responded and adapted to challenges inside and outside the lab.
