Abstract No doubt unity and consensus has a miraculous role in developing a nation and achieving their higher goals. Muslim's unity is a major and undeniable problem of the time. The increasing sectarian ethnocentrism has spattered and blemished the fundamental Islamic teachings. Today's Muslims are suffering from numerous problems, and the basic reasons for their plight are i.e. sectarian hatred, creed prejudices, lust for power, intolerance and many other materialistic interests. All these things have combined to confirm falling for Muslims, which deprived them of their honor, dignity and power. On the other hand the enemies of Muslim are united and they are fully aware that their strength lies in the weakness of Muslims. Hence they are engaged in making conspiracies to divide Muslims. Historically, it is proved that sowing germs of disunity and disintegration among Muslims has been a very old and an effective tool of Jews and Christians. Where as the Holy Quran warns us to be united and to remain aloof from them. God also commands Muslims to observe patience and retain unity among them by following the principles of piety and brotherhood. It is possible only when Muslims involved in "fraternity" with broadmindedness. At the same time, it remains the core responsibility of the Muslim rulers to play their role in this connection. Caliphs successfully spread Islam after the demise of Holy Prophet (S.A.W). The Prophet (S.A.W) always guided Ummah to be united, as He (S.A.W) knew that unity is very important to achieve strongest position in the World. With the passage of time Muslims lost their Unity that's why they were divided into different sectarian groups, which further led to bias, hatred, intolerance, belief prejudices, lust for power, etc. The purpose of this study to briefly study the Muslim world's unity, know the reasons behind disunity among the Muslim World and analysis the results of the disunity. Study is designed to be qualitative wherein ten face-to-face interviews on semi-structured questionnaire are conducted also secondary data used to analyse the themes. For data analysis thematic method has been employed. The study reveals that due to disunity among the Muslim world enemies of Islam pronged out towards taking advantage, as they are aware the more Muslims are disunited, the weaker they become. Increasing conflicts, sectarian division, diplomatic relationships, abundance of natural resources and unawareness with the notions of unity as given in the Holy Quran and Hadith are the reasons behind the disunity. Additionally, disunity has created a gap among the Muslim worlds. The disunity leads them towards the misguidance and misconceptions. The economic conditions of Muslim countries are going to be very weak due to the disunity. Social and cultural conditions are moreover affecting due to the disunity in the Muslim nations. They are at the armed fights with each other and cold wars and hot wars such as between Iran and Saudi Arabia is revealing. Civil wars have also resulted among the Muslim nations due their disunity.

The phenomenon of the presence of Muslims all over the world by naturalization and migration is being understood in terms of a new concept, "Transnational Islam" for the united Muslim Ummah. The sense of the unity of Muslim Ummah has been always integral to Muslim conscience throughout the ages. Transnational Islam, it is expected, being a modern rubric, will create, on one side, the sense of oneness of Ummah in the presence of so many nationalities and, on the other, loyalty to individual countries. It would be helpful to face multi-dimensional challenges posed by the modern world for Muslims and humanity. To face and overcome the impending challenges, the Muslims need to study their current phenomena afresh but in the light of the teachings and spirit of the Qur'Én and Sunnah. They also need to come up with a realistic and practical framework. This proposal, therefore, identifies obstacles and suggests as solution, the regeneration of the revivalist intellectual tradition of Islam and its framework.

In recent times it has proven to be extremely difficult to unite the Muslim world under a unified ideology and also a unified definition of good and wrong. Thus this article seek to paint out partly a picture of what causes this divide or disunity amongst Muslims and the rest of the world.

UNITED MUSLIM UMMAH

United Muslim Ummah was a splendid idea given by Islam to restore the lethargic sections of society and combine the assets into an incorporated, reduced frame. Such a unified movement was important not just to assimilate political and national associations on a solitary stage yet, in addition, to liberate the people from conferred self-interests and narrow observations. The idea was inspiring especially at a time when Arab society was segregated by tribal rivalries, domestic feuds and inter-regional assaults. By eliminating aggressive and exploitative tendencies, this kind of communal harmony produced a cohesive, creative principle for a successful strategy. This was a correct diagnosis made for the difficulties afflicting the ligaments of a diseased society. The aim of the paper is to determine whether present Islamic world can be united under the single banner of Muslim Ummah and recommend measures to enhance unity and sense of brotherhood among the Muslim states.

Holy Prophet(PBUH) has laid the foundations of Muslim Society after his migration from Makka to Madina. When Holy Prophet (PBUH) died, Muslim Ummah got two setbacks at the same time. First to bear the loss of Holy Prophet (PBUH) and the other was the division of Muslim Ummah into two groups Sunni and Shia. The cause of the divide was a dispute over the succession of Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Most of Muhammad's (PBUH) followers thought that the successor should be among the closest friend of the Prophet. A smaller group believed only someone of the Muhammad's (PBUH) family should become his successor. Who was Hazrat Ali (RA). The Rightly Guided Successors (Khulfa-e-Rashideen) did their best to spread Islam all over the world. Due to their selfless efforts the boundaries of Islamic State spread across the continents. But Sunni-Shia divide kept weakening Muslim Empire, resulted in division of Islam in more and more sects. This study seeks to answer the reasons behind the disunity among the Muslim World. It is also intended to highlight the efforts to bridge these differences and to upgrade the religious, social and political conditions of the Muslims. In this paper I highlighted the efforts of Muslim countries, organizations and prominent Muslim personalities who worked hard for the unity and betterment of Muslim Ummah.
