A School Picnic Essay

My school organized a picnic on Children’s Day. It has been one of the most memorable days of my life. The school took us to a resort that had swings and greenery. We went there by bus with all our friends.

Upon reaching the location, they gave us hot tomato soup as winters were going on. After that, we roamed around the resort that was filled with greenery. I took a lot of photos with my friends and teachers.

During lunchtime, my school gave us a hot and delicious meal which was very nutritious. It had fried cottage cheese, steamed rice, hot chapattis, potato curry and spicy curd. Everyone loved the meal and finished it in no time.

After that, we played a lot of games. The resort was organizing a race so I participated with my friends in it. We got the second position and won a prize containing tasty snacks and fun stationery.

The bus took off on a long road, with tall trees and vast green spaces on both sides of the road.

The manifestations of happiness appear to us from our first meeting at school, everyone is happy, it is a day similar to the day of Eid, and when the bus started, we started singing, clapping, and laughing, until we reached the desired place.

The place was wonderful and the atmosphere was refreshing, spacious gardens, flowering trees, roses in bright colors, and birds flying from one tree to another. Everything was beautiful, the students got off the bus running everywhere, as if they were beautiful butterflies, laughing and having fun happily.

Organizing a school picnic

There is no doubt that teachers have a great role in organizing the school picnic day, and preserving and caring for students.

And the teacher asked us to eat breakfast first and then play after that, and indeed each of us sat down to eat the breakfast that his mother prepared for him.

Eating food in the picturesque nature makes it taste tastier, and then the teacher divided us into groups, one group will play football, another group will race for a distance of 500 meters, and another group will play chess.

Thus, each student was doing his favorite thing, and all the students were happy.

When it was time for lunch, we ate our lunch and drank tea, and there was a mountain near the place, so we went to it and climbed it. There was a great competition between the students, and we had a really good time.

Essay on School Picnic

Last month our class teacher took us for a picnic. It was a lovely experience.

We went to a garden near our school. We were asked to carry some food. Some of us carried fruits, some carried cakes, and some carried snacks. We also took along bats, balls, and other games.

In the morning, we boarded our school bus and left for the rock garden. Once we reached there, our teacher helped us to select a comfortable place to sit. After eating fruits, we played a lot of games. Our teacher also played with us. After that, she took us for a walk round the garden.

In the afternoon, we were all hungry and tired. We sat together and had our lunch. Then our teacher read out lovely stories. We all sat together listening to her. After an hour she took us back to the bus and we all came back to the school.

I will never forget this picnic, as this was the first time that I went for a picnic with my school friends and had great fun.

Introduction

Preparation for School Picnic

Like every year, my school planned a picnic this summer. When our class teacher announced the school picnic, all the students were filled with excitement and started shouting. We started planning for the picnic from the day we heard about it. Out of all the locations, we decided to visit a zoo. We were happy because our favorite teacher is going with us. I packed my bag a day before the picnic. I kept chips and chocolates for my all friends. After several days of preparation, finally, the day came.

In the morning, we all came to school in time. The zoo was far from our school. We played antaksari the entire route and had chips and chocolates. After a few hours, we reached there. Teachers took the tickets and we all entered the zoo in a queue. There was a crowd and so the teacher instructed us to stay together. We saw many animals there. The first animal we saw was deer. Then we saw many animals like wolf, monkey, elephant, fox, etc. Then we came to the king of the jungle, the lion. The lion was roaring, some of my friends were scared while others started laughing at them. We also saw a bear with his cubs. We were just having fun that it was time for lunch. The teacher collected all the students in the canteen area for lunch. All the students brought their lunch boxes. We shared our food and enjoyed lunch.

After lunch, we moved to the bird and reptile section. There we saw different birds that I was never seen before. All the birds were very colorful and looked so amazing. We also studied the board that described the animals in the cage. Our teacher also gave us information regarding the animals. We saw two peacocks with their feathers open. The scene was really awesome. Then we moved to the reptile section. Most of the reptiles were kept in glass cages while some are kept in soil that is well packed from a safety point of view. Many huge snakes like python and cobra were looking dangerous. I saw all of them from a distance as I am afraid of snakes.

The day ended so soon that it turned evening. The teacher collected all the students near the school bus. The bus was filled with silence, no one was even talking. All of us were very tired. Some students even slept on their seats. The bus dropped us at our bus stops and we reached home.

We collected lots of memories during the picnic. Every year we eagerly wait for the picnic time. It is only one day’s enjoyment but the impact remains for the whole year of our life. On a picnic, every small thing makes us happy. Remembering those days still gives me goosebumps and happiness. I always miss my school picnic and my friends.

Each one of us, enjoy going for an outing with our family and friends. It might be a movie, an amusements park or a zoo. Picnic doesn’t only bring us close but we all get to know each other in a better way.

My first picnic

I was 12 when I went for my first picnic with my friends, organized by our school. I still remember it was an early Sunday morning and my father dropped me to the school for the trip. We were supposed to be taken to a zoo and a dairy factory, where we enjoyed ourselves very much.

Just a day before my picnic I bought so many eatables and food items to enjoy during my picnic. We reached the school and I bid a bye to my dad and then he left.

We entered the bus, as it was my first journey by bus so, I was a little nervous but since my friends were with me so I regained my confidence and the journey began.

The destination was quite far from our school. So to make the journey entertaining we played games in the bus, we sang songs, laughing, chatting, singing and had some snacks.  I saw so many beautiful scenes during the journey, outside of the pacing bus.

When we reached the destination

It was a bright morning and the birds were chirping in joy.  When we entered inside the zoo, there was a small beautiful lake at the entrance. The water was quite cool.

When I went close, I saw so many different breeds of fishes, and turtles. Next to the lake we saw the peacock cage where the bird had spread its mesmerizing feathers and was dancing in joy. The whole scene was like a beautiful dream.

We took photographs and then we moved ahead to explore more about that place.

Exploring the place

At first I saw my favourite animal ‘ tiger ’ and it looked so fierce and dangerous that I just got afraid and ran away from its cage. We heard the lion roaring shut in the cage.

Then I saw the cage of deer, they all were playing with each other and it was a pleasant scene. Then we enjoyed boating . We saw many different faunas like crocodile, snakes frogs and did some fishing.

We then further explored the different creatures of the zoo.  I took so many photographs with my teachers and friends. We were in high spirits; we just ran around and climbed the trees, shouting in joy.

After exploring the zoo we all were just starving from hunger so we all gathered at a place and had our tasty lunch that we all carried from our home.

I remember after finishing my own lunch, I ate one of my friend’s lunches too and then we started playing games.

My friend carried badminton rackets with him and both of us played a match and I remember losing the match to him and we played hide and seek too. After a short game we all were taken to a toy train in the zoo.

We all sat on the   train and we explored all the parts of the zoo that we were not able to see earlier. We really enjoyed ourselves and gathered so many sweet memories.

Then, we packed our stuffs and we were ready to go to the other part of our picnic that was the dairy.  I was not very much excited to visit the dairy, as I thought it would be a boring place and there would be nothing to do like any fun sort of thing.

When we reached our next Destination

When we reached the dairy we all stood up at the entrance in a queue. Then we moved in together silently.

When we entered we saw a big ice cream and milk parlour and a factory where the products were manufactured. As we were the visitors so we got an ice cream and a milkshake for free and we really enjoyed it.  Then we moved inside where the processing of products was being done.

The purpose of this visit was to help the students to gain some external knowledge that may help them in future. As we moved inside, the manager greeted us and took us for a short factory tour.

We got ideas of how the processing was done of the raw products, how the packaging was done and what all were the requirements to successfully deliver the product to the market.  Then we visited the garden area of the factory where the cattle and its feed were kept.

It was an eye’s dropping moment as everything was so well organized right from the entrance to the factory and obviously the cattle’s as well.

The manager explained to us that how he managed the entire factory and this trip proved to be really beneficial for us , as we gained so much of knowledge , learned how to be in discipline , to keep unity among ourselves  and most of all the  importance of hard work in our life to achieve success.

Then finally the time came when we had to leave and we all collected our stuffs, bid a goodbye to the manager and left for our bus.

It was the first day in school after first term examination when school picnic for this year was announced in the class. Everyone has been excited since then. This year’s picnic was destined to be at Vananchal resort which is located in the forest of Jambughoda. Luckily for me and my group permission of our parents has never been a problem, so we were set to go since the day of announcement.

It was a cold winter morning, the school bus departed at sharp seven in the morning. Almost two hour long route to the resort felt like a matter of few minutes as we played fun games with fellow classmates. We reported to the resort at around 9, we were all provided welcome drinks. Then we left for nature walk where we saw varied types of trees and birds. After the nature walk it was time for the most exciting part of the picnic.

“Picnic”, a day every student in the school is eagerly awaits the whole year. This year’s school picnic was to be held at Splash Water Park which was at three hour’s drive from our school. On the day of the picnic unlike every other day we reported to the school earlier than our regular timings, due to excitement, obviously! Our class was divided into four groups of ten students each. Each group had one leader to watch upon the respective team members. I was the captain of our group.

We reached the destination at 10am and were given half an hour to collect our swim suits take a shower and get ready for the real fun. Water Park was full of amazing water rides namely Demon’s hole, lazy river, Amazonia, free fall, loop hole, etc. Demon’s hole and Amazonia were my favourite. Demon’s hole was a dark cylindrical water slide with utterly thrilling twists and turns and Amazonia was a super large water slide which took us through an artificially created jungle, which gave a feel of passing through the streams in Amazon rain forests.

In lunch, we were served lip-smacking Punjabi food with gulab jamuns in dessert. Then, there was a wave pool, besides which there was a beautiful artificial waterfall. We checked out from the park at 5pm in the evening and returned to our school at around eight.

I remember almost nothing from the return journey as we were all tired till the end of the day. Our legs were paining as they had exercised hard while climbing those steps for the slides, and thus out of exhaustion almost everyone was asleep in the bus while returning. It was a day well spent.

The happiness that we gained in the most simple things in life, bursting into laughter after playing pranks on our fellow classmates and that momentary anger of the one who had been pranked, those tired yet smiling faces at the end of the day and many more tingling moments are the memories to cherish forever.

Memories of this day will always hold a cosy corner in my and all our hearts. Somewhere I still wish if I could go back to this day again and feel that same thing with those same people all over again.

I was in standard 3 rd when my school had arranged a picnic to Kamla Nehru zoo situated besides Kankaria Lake, Ahmedabad. Being a kid, I was extremely excited for the picnic. A day before picnic I went to the nearby shop with my father to buy some snacks for the picnic. I bought a packet of chips, cookies, soya sticks and few packets of chewing gum.

We had to be in pair on this day, which was decided on the basis of roll numbers, luckily for me I partnered up with Manan whose number was right next to me. Singing, dancing, playing we travelled the road till the destination. We were served ice-cream as soon as we got there. We were all excited to step in the zoo.

First of all we had to enter the bird section where we saw a number of varied and beautiful birds. Toucan, a black and yellow coloured bird with a large beak, kingfisher a little bird with most vivid colours, Hornbill a beautiful bird with a horn like thing on its head and albatross a fine white and black coloured with aquatic habitat were some of the birds we saw. We also saw deer, hippopotamus, fox, wolf, alligator, crocodile, wild ass, yellow python snake, bear and many more. But our favourite ones were still left, where we had to visit after the lunch.

Finally, after the lunch it was the time for which we were all so excited about – to see the fastest animal cheetah, the national animal tiger and of course the king of the jungle, lion. We also saw jaguar and leopard. We were done with the zoo at around 3 in the afternoon, and we had time until 5 pm so the teachers decided to take us all to have a look around at Kankaria Lake. It was a beautiful place.

We sat on a mini toy train there which took us on a ride around the lake. After everyone completed the ride, it was almost 5 which was the time to leave for home. Teachers started counting the number of students, which brought them to the conclusion that one kid from our class has been missing. The teachers panicked however they were finally able to find Hussain, the lost one after 10 minutes of search operation.

Today, it might be a mere picnic to a zoo, but when I remember back I realized how these little things used to make me happy.

Our day at Kidzania began at 9 in the morning. I was stunned looking at this wonderful place which was actually a city which we have all dreamt about. The day began with Kidzania theme song where all the staff members dance and welcome the kids and their parents.

Just as every country has its own currency; Kidzania also has its own currency named Kidzos. After entering every child is given a cheque of 50 Kidzos which he/ she can withdraw whenever needed to enjoy the activities in the Kidzania world.

There were different buildings build for different purposes. There were offices, factories and many other places where we can work and get salary in Kidzos. The kids are divided in different groups for different jobs as per their age. First of all, I and my friends went to the dentist and learnt some skills for removing the tooth having cavities. Not only this, we also did check up of other kids with different instruments. At the end of that, the head dentist made us understand about how crucial it is to do proper brushing. After that, we went to the bakery and made our very own delicious donuts.

We also did the wall painting on a very huge wall besides the road. Then, we got to know that there is a fashion show and we can walk on the ramp wearing those beautiful clothes. I and my friends couldn’t control our excitement and we immediately went for that. We walked through the ramp and it was an amazing experience. To our excitement, we saw an ice cream parlour next to that building. Going inside we realized that we can make our own ice cream, of whichever flavour we like. Similarly, there was a Kinder Joy factory where we made Kinder Joy and a Kellogs factory where we made Chocos.

Not just work, there were buildings in which there were classes to learn dance, play guitar, drums and flute, and also sing. So, we tried out almost everything we could. I learnt few notes on guitar and that was my first time on any musical instrument. After learning all this new stuff, we thought to try our hands on gadgets also. So, we went to the gadget store nearby where we were given information about the technology used in mobile phones and laptops. It was real fun.

To end our tour, there was a series of folk dances and music where all the kids had prepared something of their own for the entertainment of the audiences. I was also a part of a group with whom I performed Bhangra. This made us interact with other kids more and that is where I made my new friends who were basically from Amritsar, my birth place. All of the shows, including the singing event, helped us know how amazingly talented other kids were. After all of this there was a thank you speech by the staff members with whom we were also connected now.

All of this experience of being part of this amazing world was beyond words. It was the world where we not just used the amenities but also helped in creating them. The joy of making something on your own was just beyond words. Every kid should once visit Kidzania in their childhood and make long lasting memories there.

Introduction: I have had many picnics in my life. Almost all of them were very enjoyable. Among them, one is very favorite to me.

Preparations for the Picnic: The picnic took place when I was a student at the University of Chittagong. The classes of our third semester BBA course had just started. The teachers and students were feeling the need for rejuvenation. For achieving that goal, it was decided that there could be nothing better than a picnic party. Bandarban was selected as the place of the picnic. At first, a committee was formed with participation from students and teachers for collecting contributions and making all necessary arrangements for the picnic. The committee collected contributions from every one of the classes. Two big chair coaches were hired and other preparations were finished in time.

Description of the Picnic: On the appointed day we gathered at the university campus early in the morning. There was a festive environment. Everyone was in a jolly mood. All of us got on the chair coaches. All necessary goods and food items were also taken on the buses. We took with us rice, ghee, meat, fish, sauce, jam, fruits, spices, bread and other necessary things for cooking. There were also necessary pots, plates, kerosene stoves, spoons, and forks. As soon as all the students reached, we started our journey. It was about 8 AM. We had a microphone and loudspeaker with us. The members of our picnic party were made to perform one after another. Some recited poems, some sang songs, some cracked jokes, some played music, and some gave speeches. We had fifteen honorable teachers with us. They also participated in the performances. Every performance invoked much applause. Some of the performers received standing ovations. We had breakfast on the coaches at about 9 AM with bread, apple, banana, boiled egg, and tea. At about 11 in the morning, we reached Bandarban. We selected Meghla Tourist Spot as the place for our picnic. We all got down and arranged our materials for cooking. We had some expert cooks with us. They took the charge of cooking. The others helped them. Meghla was a very beautiful place. It had a beautiful lake, hills, and a hanging bridge. We were enjoying the natural beauties very much. We had a meal at about 2 PM. Then all of us set out to visit Bandarban city. We went to Shaila Propat, Balaghata Buddhist Temple, the king’s house, and other places of Bandarban. After the sunset, we started our return journey.

Conclusion: It was a very enjoyable event in my life. The memory of the picnic will remain ever fresh in my mind.

Finally at 10.30 am we reached the picnic spot. It was a beautiful land on the banks of a river. There was a large area of a green field with a lot of bushes and trees scattered here and there. How We Spent the Day

Mother, being an avid gardening enthusiast, was thoroughly delighted to see the rose beds and cactus at the greenhouse.

The temperature was increasing and so we decided to take a dip into the large pool area. Being a weekday, there was not much crowd and we had so much fun splashing water onto each other and jumping at the splash pad area. My parents were a bit hesitant in entering the pool, but we dragged them anyway. As father rented tubes for me and my sister, we decided to take a leisurely float on tubes on the lazy river before having large pepperoni pizzas and fried chicken for lunch from the picnic gazebo.

The main attraction however was the water slides and tunnels which dropped at the main pool. As they were costly, we opted for only one and it was worth it. After some more soaking in the pool, we entered the cabana and change into new clothes. The cold beverages served here, were very refreshing. Next we visited the amusement park to ride the Roller Coaster and Sky Wheel which made our hearts beat faster in delight. I and mother had ice creams while my sister took the candy floss and father took the roasted groundnuts from the concession carousel.

It was late afternoon by then and the sun was not so scorching. As we were tired after so much action, we decided to sit back at the cabana and enjoy watching others in the pools. We were served cold coffee before we started for home at 5 pm.

With a perfect combination of greenery, water slides, pools and amusement rides, our picnic at the city waterpark was full of fun even when the sun beat down upon us mercilessly.
