The endlessly reusable Rocketbook Core Smart Notebook gives you the best of both worlds: writing by hand and digital organization/storage. Write in the notebook with a Pilot FriXion pen. Scan your note with the Rocketbook app on your favorite iPhone and have the note sent to your choice of digital services. Then you can erase the note with a moist cloth and reuse that same page as many times as you'd like. Your notes are safely tucked away in digital form. The app even has OCR (Optical Character Recognition), so you can tag and search your notes later.

Rocketbook Core Smart Notebook: Price and availability

Rocketbook Core Smart Notebook Lifestyle Open Blank

The Rocketbook Core Smart Notebook comes in two sizes: Letter Size and Executive Size. The Letter Size is 8.5-by-11 inches and contains 32 pages, and the Executive Size is 6-by-8.8 inches and has 36 pages. For either size, choose dot-grid or lined paper. The notebook comes in a wide variety of colors and patterns.

The Rocketbook Core Smart Notebook can be found at Amazon and Rocketbook's site as well as big box and office supply stores everywhere. The retail price starts at $32, but you can often find it discounted as low as $20.

Rocketbook Core Smart Notebook: What's good

Rocketbook Core Smart Notebook Lifestyle Closed

Obviously, you can use an iPad and an Apple Pencil to take notes in your favorite note-taking app . But if you prefer the old-school feel of pen on paper, check out the Rocketbook Core Smart Notebook. It's a slim spiral-bound notebook with a sturdy plastic cover. Inside you'll find 32-36 glossy paper pages, depending on which size you choose.

The paper is specially designed to work with Pilot FriXion erasable pens. Once the ink dries, it stays put until you wipe the page clean with a moistened cloth. One of these pens is included with the notebook, but it's not a proprietary pen. You can easily find these pens anywhere that sells writing implements. The cloth is included too, but it's not a special cloth.

You'll notice a QR code and seven symbols along the bottom of each page. This is how the notes are digitized. Download the Rocketbook app and set up where you want your notes to go. Choose from Google Drive, Evernote, Dropbox, OneNote, OneDrive, Trello, Slack, Box, iCloud, or email. Each of the symbols can be designated to a particular spot. So you can send your notes automatically to the service of your choice just by placing an "X" over the symbol you've set up.

You'll never need another notebook again; just reuse this one over and over

I'd definitely recommend taking the time to set up folders within the cloud services to send your notes. Alternatively, you can skip all that and just send the note wherever and however you'd like. You'll also need to set up OCR in the app if you wish to use that feature.

I set up the "arrow" symbol as my email address and the "diamond" symbol as my Google Drive. In fact, I created a folder in Google Drive specifically for my Rocketbook notes. So any note where I mark the diamond symbol goes right into that particular folder in Google Drive, without my having to select anything in the app.

The more you use the system, the more you learn about useful features. For example, if you write two hashtags on either side of your note's title, the OCR picks that up and will give the note that name digitally. You can also batch notes rather than sending one page at a time to the service of your choice.

Rocketbook Core Smart Notebook: What's not good

Rocketbook Core Smart Notebook Lifestyle Open Test Note

The glossy paper and erasable pen don't feel exactly like a regular pen on normal paper. You won't get the smooth flow of a high-end pen on quality paper, and I saw some complaints about this online. I don't mind the glossy paper, it didn't bother me at all, but tastes will vary.

The bigger issue is that the ink doesn't dry immediately. It takes about 20-30 seconds to dry completely. The way I hold my pen, right-handed, this isn't an issue for me. But for left-handed folks, or right-handed folks writing in a right-to-left language, or anyone who tends to smear ink as they write or draw, it might be a big issue.

The OCR is pretty cool when it works. It allows you to name your notes automatically as well as search them once they're in your cloud service. However, your handwriting needs to be pretty neat, or the OCR just won't recognize it. I had to slow down and make a conscious effort to write neatly enough for the OCR to read it.

Rocketbook Core Smart Notebook: Competition

Moleskine Smart Notebook Lifestyle

Moleskine is such a popular luxury notebook brand that you can't talk notebooks without talking Moleskine. Moleskine has its own ecosystem that includes a variety of smart notebooks, writing sets, and digital tools. However, the paper notebooks themselves are not reusable.

Homestec Reusable Smart Notebook Lifestyle

There are cheaper reusable notebooks to be found on Amazon and the like, such as the HOMESTEC brand. This one must be erased with a hairdryer or the eraser end of the pen, making it a bit more cumbersome than the Rocketbook Core Smart Notebook that only requires a moist cloth.

Rocketbook Core Smart Notebook: Should you buy it?

Rocketbook Core Smart Notebook Lifestyle Google Drive Test

You should buy this if ...

  • You want a smart notebook that digitizes and organizes your notes
  • You want to be able to reuse the notebook over and over
  • You want OCR so you can search your stored notes quickly

You shouldn't buy this if...

  • You don't like the feel of glossy paper
  • You write left-handed and/or tend to smudge ink that dries slowly
  • You have bad handwriting (OCR may not recognize it)

If you're looking for an endlessly reusable smart notebook that can scan, digitize, and organize your hand-written notes, you'll love the Rocketbook Core Smart Notebook. However, if you don't like the feel of glossy paper, or the slow ink dry time will cause you to smear it, then look elsewhere. This also may not be ideal for the person with bad handwriting.

I've enjoyed using the Rocketbook Core Smart Notebook. It's so easy to write a note, mark off where you want to send it, scan it, and send it on its way. The erasable Pilot FriXion pen dries slowly on the notebook's glossy reusable paper, but once it's dry, it stays put until you wipe it with a moist cloth.

Since you can just reuse this one notebook over and over, it's an eco-friendly choice. I can see it being great for students, creators, and anyone who likes to put pen to paper. With so many different cloud services that you can upload to automatically, it's such a useful tool. You can even use OCR to further organize and search your notes.

Rocketbook Core Smart Notebook Render Cropped

Bottom line: Get that old-school pen on paper feel with the advantages of digital notes.

Rocketbook App Icon

This is the companion app to the Rocketbook Smart Notebook lineup. It puts the "smart" in your smart notebook.

Moleskine Smart Writing Set

What to look for in a smart notebook in 2024.

While there are plenty of ways you can collaborate with others to share digital notes, projects, and more, there are occasions when nothing beats being able to put pen to paper.

Smart notebooks offer a more versatile way to make notes on a physical device using a digital pad and pen. Using cloud storage , you can share notes with others in the way you can using alternatives like Google Docs , directly from your notebook.

The Moleskine Smart Writing Set , for example, offers a more true-to-life notebook experience, allowing you to share notes as images. The Rocketbook Multi-Subject Reusable Smart Notebook , on the other hand, features reusable pages that you can wipe clean with a microfiber cloth.

Different types of smart notebooks are on the market, so finding one that's right for you shouldn't be too difficult. However, you need to decide whether you want something that feels more like a notebook than a screen, small or large storage options, companion apps, and so on.

Depending on what you want to use your smart notebook for, you may find one option is better than another. Ultimately, the best smart notebooks should digitalize your notes so you can share them with others, or organize your scribbles to reference later.

Best Smart Notebook Planner: EVO Planner

evo planner daily journal-1

Pros

Cons

✓ Great for daily planning and to-do lists

✗ Only 3 months' worth of use

✓ Includes prompts that make you think more about your goals

✓ Personalized to your brain type

✓ Includes lined and blank pages

You can choose the right EVO Planner to suit your "brain type". Oracle is designed for people with abstract ideas and possibilities that process lots of data while honing in on specific outcomes. Alchemist is similar, but for users who prefer variety and sharing ideas with others. Explorer , on the other hand, is catered more towards those who prefer tangible and real-life experiences, living at the moment, whereas Architect brain types like detailed and step-by-step planning.

This smart notebook's approach is undoubtedly different from other alternatives, but if you want a more customized option, this is certainly unique. Depending on what you choose, the EVO Planner provides you with a 90-day planner and journal, which they claim is based on over ten years of cognitive psychology research and development.

Unlike the Rocketbook Pro 2.0 , the EVO Planner doesn't feature reusable pages. With 90 days worth of pages, you're limited to how much you can use this smart notebook. And, since it uses normal paper, you can use your pens or pencils to write notes or add to your journal. Using the EVO app , you can share and track progress with friends and plan your days more effectively by scanning the QR code on each page.

Plan your days, weeks, and months more clearly with the EVO Planner and create tangible goals you can work towards. This unique take on a smart notebook is a great idea for those who struggle to organize themselves. It's perfect for people who want to focus on certain aspects of their lives, whether it be school, work, or everyday activities.

Get the right planner based on your brain type and focus on organizing your days with actionable goals. Upload your notes, journal, and to-do lists easily with the EVO app.

Best Budget Smart Notebook: Rocketbook Fusion

rocketbook fusion-1

Pros

Cons

✓ Very affordable

✗ Cover feels cheap

✓ Works and feels like pen and paper

✓ Can be wiped clean

✓ Scannable pages

Like the Rocketbook Pro 2.0 , the Rocketbook Fusion features reusable pages you can wipe clean. Its true-to-life pen and paper feel makes it a great choice for those who want a smart notebook but prefer it not to feel so digitalized. Using a Pilot Frixion pen , you allow 15 seconds for the ink to dry, then use the QR code on the page you're on to upload your notes to the Rocketbook app on iOS or Android . Use a clean cloth to wipe away your notes and start again.

Any notes you make can be shared with other cloud services, such as Google Drive, Dropbox, OneNote, and iCloud . Whether you want to fill out your budget planner, take notes, make a list, or organize tasks, you can do it all with the Rocketbook Fusion.

Inside, you'll find 42 pages you can work with. The Pilot Frixion pen and microfiber cloth are also included, making this electronic notebook great value for money. It's a simple way to write things down as they come to you, then upload them so you can access them anytime.

To ensure the Rocketbook Fusion remains budget-friendly, there is a small price to pay for the materials used. For example, the outer cover feels plastic-y and cheap compared to the Rocketbook Pro 2.0 or Moleskin Smart Writing System . Still, if you're not fussed about premium quality, you'll be happy with what this smart notebook can offer.

Perfect for a range of users, the Rocketbook Fusion is an affordable smart notebook that can be reused plenty of times. It comes with a great selection of page types, so no matter what you need to jot down, you'll have the right tools at your disposal.

This affordable smart notebook features 42 reusable pages, making it easy to take notes, scan them, and save them.

Best Smart Notebook Tablet: reMarkable 2

remarkable 2-1

Pros

Cons

✓ Easily readable large screen

✗ Expensive

✓ Simple and minimalist approach

✗ Less features compared to the competition

✓ Two weeks battery life

✓ Import Microsoft Office files

The paper-like e-ink display on the reMarkable 2 appeals to those searching for a digital notebook that feels more like a tablet. Design-wise, it's barely thicker than the USB-C port on the underside and weighs a mere 0.88lbs. In fact, if you were to glance at the reMarkable 2, you might mistake it for an iPad. It's extremely minimalistic and perfect for traveling with.

The 10.3-inch display is generous, so you can easily read and make notes. With a 226 dpi, your reading and writing experience will be smooth and seamless, like the device itself. But, when you compare the reMarkable 2 to the competition, you'll soon notice certain features aren't there. Most notably, this smart notebook doesn't feature a backlight as you might expect with other tablet-like displays such as the Kindle Paperwhite .

Since the reMarkable 2 doesn't have pages like the Rocketbook Fusion , you'll need to navigate to various tools from the homepage. Here you'll find a taskbar that directs you to create folders, and add notes or sheets. You can also see recent documents and a few settings that allow you to rearrange the homepage. It's a user-friendly experience because not much is going on, but if simplicity is key for you, it will work well.

reMarkable offers desktop , iOS , and Android apps. If you're on a desktop, you can download the Read on Remarkable browser extension, which means you can send web content, Word and Powerpoint files, and even PDFs directly to your reMarkable 2 device. This is a neat feature if you want to work on files or annotate webpages without sitting at a computer or laptop.

You can expect two weeks of battery life from the reMarkable 2, which is pretty generous. Writing on the device is lag-free and feels surprisingly close to writing on paper with a pen. The distraction-free tablet-like experience will likely appeal to many users, but it does come at a high cost and present fewer features than the competition.

This minimalist tablet offers a seamless writing experience without any distractions. Easily send webpages and documents directly to the reMarkable 2 and enjoy note-taking on the go.

Best Premium Smart Notebook: Moleskine Smart Writing Set

Moleskine writing set-1

Pros

Cons

✓ Looks and feels like a notebook

✗ Expensive

✓ Automatic page detection

✓ Works with PDFs, Google Drive, Microsoft Word, etc.

Moleskine is well known for its notebooks, so it's no surprise that the Moleskine Smart Writing Set looks and feels more like a normal notebook than most smart notebooks. That's because it is a notebook. Using an ink-equipped pen with standard refills, you can easily write in the notebook on real paper and upload your notes, drawings, and annotations into digital text using the Moleskine Notes app .

The app offers many different functions. If you enjoy making handwritten notes but would prefer to be able to upload and transcribe them into digital text, the Moleskine Notes app does this for you. It also works in over 20 different languages. Using the app, you can create tags to search for notes quickly and save them to your favorites.

Sharing is straightforward, too—you can export content from your smart notebook and select different file types, e.g. Image, PDF , SVG , etc. You can even decide where to export your notes too. And, if you really want to feel like you're in Inception , you can upload notes and drawings to the Moleskine Notes app, then add markup on your phone as a separate layer that you can edit or remove later.

Thanks to the Smart Pen's infrared camera, the tip tracks as you write to ensure precise results. The pen even features onboard memory, which can hold up to 1,000 note pages. So if you don't have your phone to hand, you can easily digitalize your notes. Plus, you can purchase additional Smart Pen Ballpoint Refills for the pen.

This impressive smart notebook takes note-taking to a new digital level. It offers the right balance between traditional and modern technology, ticking the boxes for many people. Without having to purchase additional accessories, you can change the color of your text, use standard refills, and save money in the long run. However, the initial expense may put some users off.

This smart notebook boasts real paper and a standard ink pen that allow you to connect with the Moleskine Notes app to digitalize your notes, drawings, and annotations.

Treehugger / Chloe Jeong

The United States generated 67.4 million tons of paper waste annually. That means reducing how much paper you use is a great way to help the environment. Writing on both sides of every sheet is a simple way to limit your usage, as is opting for eco-friendly notebooks with recycled or sustainable pages. But paper-free, digital notebook options are becoming more widely available and less expensive.

Many “smart” notebooks offer a reusable, erasable solution for those who like the experience of putting pen to paper but prefer to keep trees in the forest . They also reduce the amount of paper that needs to be recycled , which cuts carbon emissions. Other types of smart pads allow you to use both sides of your favorite paper or notebook to make lists or drawings and then digitize them. Most smart notebooks allow you to save your work to cloud storage using a compatible app.

Here, the best smart reusable notebooks to consider.

Best Overall

Rocketbook core.

Available in multiple colors, the Rocketbook Core offers a classic analog writing experience designed for the digital age. Using any erasable and refillable Pilot FriXion pen , simply write, doodle, or create lists on lined or dot-grid pages that are made from a special polyester composite (no trees necessary). The ink bonds to the pages in about 15 seconds to prevent smudging.

Ready to save your work? Select the correct symbol at the bottom of each page and use the Rocketbook app to send your notes to your favorite cloud-based service like Dropbox, Evernote, or Google Drive. When you’re done, gently wipe the erasable pages (up to 500 times), and you’ve got a new notebook ready for your next meeting or assignment. There are several different cover color options to choose from, including black, gray, green, orange, red, and teal.

The Rocketbook Core is our top choice because the user experience is the most like an analog paper notebook

Best for Organization

Rocketbook fusion.

Looking for a reusable notebook to reduce back-to-school waste or a more sustainable take on an annual planner ? The Rocketbook Fusion could be your new, super-organized best friend.

It’s got all the features of a Rocketbook Core—erasable pages and the ability to upload content to cloud storage—combined with new page styles like a task list page, two weekly planner pages, and a monthly calendar. When you’re ready to work on a new idea or to turn the page to a new year, just erase your old work with a damp cloth and start fresh.

Best for Kids

Boogie board blackboard letter.

This paperless LCD notepad is great for all ages, but especially for young ones who might not be as careful with a more expensive tablet. This modern-day bulletin board offers a sturdy, hard surface to write on even when you aren’t near a desk or table.

No stylus is necessary, so it’s super easy for little ones to grab the Boogie Board and write or doodle with the touch of a finger. It works best to use the stylus included, but almost any object with a slightly pointed tip will work.

Line and grid templates and a magnetic pen holder are an added bonus. The long-lasting five-year battery is an eco-friendly feature. Capture your creations using the free app compatible with iOS and Android, then erase instantly using a one-touch button.

Best Pocket-Sized

Rocketbook everlast mini.

It may be small (3.5 x 5.5 inches) in stature, but the Rocketbook mini is packed with 48 reusable pages. It’s a great travel companion, but it’s also handy for anyone—like medical personnel and journalists—who need to record info on the go.

Like the larger Rocketbook family members, this smart notebook comes in a variety of colors and requires a Pilot FriXion or specialized pen in order to write on the pages. But it fits in your pocket instead of your backpack. The Rocketbook app lets you scan, share, and save your work for accessing later. Simply wipe the pages clean with a damp cloth anytime you need a clean slate.

Best Spiral

Elfinbook 2.0 smart reusable notebook.

Elfinbook’s ring-bound option looks like a traditional notebook, but its double-sided pages are reusable and erasable up to about 500 times with a damp cloth, microwave, or hairdryer. They can also be removed from the binding for easy sharing on collaborative projects.

Available in two sizes, the pages are big enough to be used by architects, designers, and anyone with a creative streak. It comes with one Pilot FriXion Pen. Use the Elfinbook app to send all of your completed drawings and illustrations to a handful of cloud storage services. Later you can manipulate, organize, share, rename, or delete the stored files.

Best Reusable Paper Notebook

Paper saver classic paper saver.

If you’re not ready for a digital notebook, the Paper Saver is a fresh take on an old-school paper writing pad. Its faux leather cover is the perfect place way to reuse any one-sided scrap paper all that paper you have lying around.

Simply collect all that any letter-sized paper that's blank on one side (between 40 and 50 sheets fit) and insert them into the stainless-steel binding. Fold the other half over and you’ve got a notebook of pages ready for writing or scribbling on. When you’re at the end of the book, pull the stack out, flip it around, and start again. Free downloads of printable lines and grid patterns are available for those who prefer writing on something other than blank sheets.

Treehugger's top pick for a reusable notebook is the Rocketbook Core . If you’re looking for something good for kids and is an alternative to an expensive tablet like an iPad, then the Boogie Board Blackboard Letter Paperless Notepad might be right for you.

What to Look For in a Smart Reusable Notebook

Reusability.

Since you’re looking for an eco-friendly option, check to see how many times, if any, each page can be erased and reused.

Does it require a battery to operate? If so, how long it will last? If not, is the device charged with a USB cable or something else?

The “Write” Implement

Most smart notebooks require a special pen or stylus. Prior to purchasing, confirm how many pens are included and how often they need to be replaced or if they can be refilled.

Does the device sync to your favorite cloud services? Or does it store your information on the device? Decide how important these factors are to you.

Some reusable notebooks are larger and more portable than others. A5 (5.8 x 8.6 inches) tends to be cheaper and great for note-taking, writing, and simple sketches. If you’re looking to design or illustrate, B5 (6.9 x 9.8 inches) might be worth spending a bit of extra money on. There are also A6 (6.7 x 4.2 inches) options available.

Most smart notebooks utilize dot grid patterns so smart phones easily capture the content. Dotted pages are also handy for engineers and architects, while students and writers might prefer a lined option. Artists and illustrators might opt for blank pages.

It depends on the notebook. To clear your Rocketbook reusable notebook, for example, you simply need a damp cloth. Other models, like Elfinbook , let you use your microwave or a hairdryer to get a clean slate. LCD-style notepads are often erased with the touch of a single built-in button.

You will want to keep that pen you swiped from the resort you visited in Maui away from your reusable notebook.

Most reusable notebooks require a stylus or special pen. They’re often erasable gel-style pens like Pilot’s FriXion model . LCD-style notebooks may let your finger do the talking. That makes them great options for kids.

Often the necessary pen or stylus will be included with your purchase. But before you buy, read the fine print about the exact kind of stylus or pen you’ll need to use.

If the specific pen you are required to use on your reusable notebook is available in different colors, you can absolutely color inside or outside the lines in as many hues as you want.

The new Rocketbook Pro comes in two sizes, the letter size (8.5 inches by 11 inches) is pictured.

The Rocketbook Pro looks like any other notebook but it packs a beautiful secret: It's completely reusable, and the Rocketbook app makes it easy to transfer your notes from the pages to your phone.

The notebook comes with a Pilot FriXion erasable pen, a microfiber cloth to wipe the pages clean, a 40-page lined and dotted grid page pack, and a scratch-resistant cover.

Smart notebooks are one way to reduce your environmental impact, especially if you're one to buy a planner each year or a fan of journaling. Beyond their eco-friendliness, is the plain fact that a lot of people still prefer to handwrite their notes, journal entries, lists, and planning rather than use a digital alternative.

The notebook cover on the Rocketbook Pro features an embedded NFC chip that, when held up to an NFC-enabled smartphone running iOS or Android, leads to the Rocketbook app. This will then let you scan your pages and save them as a shareable PDF, individually or as a bundle. It can be preset to automatically send the scans to different destinations, like OneDrive, Evernote, Slack, email, iCloud, Google Drive, box, OneNote, and more; all with different codes that are at the bottom of each page.

After you're done with your notes and satisfied with how they got scanned into the app, you can wipe down your Rocketbook Pro page clean with a damp microfiber cloth.

The Rocketbook Pro is a sleeker version of the smart notebook aimed at professionals.

Rocketbook has also taken a step towards a more professional look with the Pro smart notebook, by doing away with the spiral binding and flexible cover in favor of a hard, scratch-resistant portfolio-style cover made of vegan leather.

The hardcover on this newer option is one thing that many users of previous Rocketbook versions had requested. The Pro version can also lay completely flat when open for easier writing and bends in 360 degrees to take quick notes on the go.

As a fan of bullet journaling and organization in general, I love how customizable a blank or dotted notebook is. My bullet journal serves as an all-in-one for planning, writing down work tasks and meetings, lists, to-dos, budgeting, and random annotations.

The Rocketbook Pro has a variety of page packs from planners to blank pages for sketching, so the ability to customize my planner is there. Pilot also offers different types of the erasable Frixion pen, like clicker colored pens , markers , pastels , and more options to make my journaling heart flutter.

Aside from a damp cloth, the included Pilot Frixion Pen has a pretty effective eraser on one end.

I like keeping my old journals as snapshots of my life at that stage, but scanning and saving my pages serves the same purpose and the fact that I can just wipe down the pages to start over is so convenient.

Bottom line

Having used it for a number of weeks, I can't say for sure that I'll never go back to my pen and paper notebook, especially my beloved bullet journal. But I can definitely say I won't for a good while. I love the fact that the Rocketbook Pro is versatile so I can create my own layouts on the dot grid, and I can wipe off any errors I make -- something I can't do on my paper bullet journal. For now, I find myself reaching for my Rocketbook exclusively whenever I have to take down a quick note or try to organize my thoughts, so it's been a win in my book.

The Rocketbook Pro is available in letter size, 8.5 inches by 11 inches, which retails for $60 ; and a 7 inches by 9 inches executive size, priced at $55 .

This Endlessly Reusable Notebook Turns My Doodles Into Emails

rocketbook smart notebook reviews

I’m a professional gadget person, but there are times when I prefer the lo-fi. I like to hold a book in my hands and feel the turn of the pages. I have a soft spot for film cameras. And when it comes to taking notes, I much prefer pen and paper over a note typed into my phone. Problem is, I also tend to misplace papers, and all those notebooks and journals pile up over time. So when a colleague turned me on this summer to the Rocketbook Everlast — i.e., the coolest notebook I’d ever seen — I knew it was the last one I’d ever need.

It’s called the Everlast because, of course, it’s reusable forever. The pages feel like paper, but they’re made of a polyester composite that’s fully erasable with a damp cloth when you write on it with the right kind of ink ( Pilot FriXions are what Rocketbook suggests). Scrawl notes as you usually do, and once you’re done, wipe them off and start over — ad infinitum. ( Rocketbook makes a notebook that you can erase five times via the microwave , but this is so much better.)

Before you erase your work, the Everlast has something of a digital filing system, too. Each page of the notebook has its own unique QR code — snap a photo with the Everlast app on your phone and it’ll keep track of what was written on what page (in case you’re scrambling to find what the boss said on Wednesday morning). At the bottom of each notebook page, there are also seven different icons — a diamond, a bell, a star, etc. — that you can preassign to specific destinations via the app, like a folder on your Google Drive (think “Super Long Love Letter” or “Great American Novel Ideas”), or a Dropbox or email account, and so on. Once you’ve finished scribbling on a page, cross an X on the appropriate icon, snap an image, and off goes a PDF or JPG to your chosen destination. So, yes, it’s your typical notebook, with all the pleasures of analog note-taking — only it’s usable forever and works as a digital document backup system. It does everything I want, in other words, only better.

Princeton Architectural Press Grids & Guides: A Notebook for Visual Thinkers

Writer Molly Young discovered a notebook unlike any other : “Each of the 144 pages is printed with a variable grid design. This pattern is simultaneously a constraint (because grid) and a mild creative prompt (because variable). You progress through the notebook not knowing which grid design will greet you on the next page. Will it be the gray lines? The blue boxes? The tessellated triangles? The evenly spaced dots? The grids are all bold enough to provide structure but faint enough to foreground your writing.”

This is a very well reviewed notebook that actress Sanaa Lathan also happens to love: “Beautiful! So soft! Love the dotted grid lines, great for drawing, bullet-journaling, anything really. So PERFECT!! I kind of collect journals, just can’t get enough of them, and this one is AMAZING! Highly, highly recommend!”

Little Fires Everywhere author Celeste Ng can’t travel without her Leuchtturm: “I keep a writer’s  notebook  and also put all my daily schedules and to-do lists in it. Leuchtturms are my favorites — they come in beautiful colors, have page numbers, and are just the right size to fit in my purse. I prefer the dotted pages, because they’re helpful when I need straight lines and easy to ignore when I don’t. Compared to a Moleskine, the paper is thicker, there are two ribbon bookmarks, and they come with stickers for labeling and archiving afterward (nerd bonus).”

Rocketbook Everlast Review: the Reusable Smart Notebook in the Cloud

Traditional notebooks are annoying. Any serious note-takers or doodlers will admit that they go through notebooks quickly, which means stacks of notebooks to store in your closet. Instead of buying notebooks again and again, what if you had  one  notebook that could last forever?

Rocketbook wants to replace your old school notebooks with a reusable, never-ending notebook that uploads to the cloud. For our Rocketbook Everlast Review, we tested out the popular notebook to see if it could really replace old fashioned pen and paper. Let’s see what we found.

First thing’s first: how does this notebook actually get your notes and doodles to the cloud? It’s simple. Each page has 7 symbols on the bottom. Once you’re done with a page, you mark the destination for your upload. Within the app, you can specify what each symbol means; for instance, the apple can mean that your notes go to a specific Google Drive folder, while the star sends them to a channel on Slack.

rocketbook everlast destinations

Once you set up the destinations in the app, it’s as easy as opening the app, scanning the page, and clicking Done . The scans will instantly send to the different cloud services.

rocketbook everlast review

There is only one pen recommended for writing on the Rocketbook: it’s the Pilot FriXion. These pens come in a variety of colors and sizes, and one 0.7 mm pen is included with the notebook.

The Rocketbook Everlast notebook has a very distinctive feel. The pages aren’t quite traditional paper, but they aren’t dry erase either. Since they are super smooth, at first I was doubtful that the ink would dry. There’s nothing more annoying than writing that smudges onto your hand or to other pages in the notebook.

Rocketbook promises that their ink will dry in 15 seconds. In testing for our Rocketbook Everlast review, the ink was close to dry after that amount of time, although I’ll probably round up and give it 20-25 seconds to play it safe. If you’re left-handed, you may want to check out a 0.5 mm Frixion pen or thinner for a faster drying time to reduce smudging.

Once you’re done writing and uploading your notes, you can easily erase your writing with a drop or two of water. My favorite method is to use a small microfiber towel and get a corner wet. I use that corner to wipe off the ink, then I use the dry side of the towel to mop up any remaining water.

The writing comes off instantly, but don’t start writing on the same page immediately. Only write on completely dry pages.

The Rocketbook app is very simple, but it gets the job done. There is a small menu on the side with options for:

  • History : this lists a gallery view of all of your scans. If you upload multiple scans at once, they will be grouped into one icon.
  • Destinations : edit the destinations in this section to specify where your scans should send. This will require you to login to each service, but only once during setup. Besides choosing a destination, you can also select file type (pdf, jpeg, or gif if there are multiple images), bundle scans into one PDF, and turn on auto-send if you want the scanned images to instantly send to their destination.
  • Settings : customize your experience in this tab. There are actually quite a few interesting options here for adjusting your scans quality, resolution, etc.

rocketbook app

The alternative to Rocketbook is obviously taking a photo of your notebook. Below is a comparison of the quality, with an image of the notes on the left and a scan on the right. When it scans, Rocketbook removes the tiny dots that are on the page, in addition to the symbols at the bottom and the QR code.

picture of notes

The app scanned all images instantly, without any quality issues. Even if you don’t hold your phone perfectly steady during the scan, the uploaded images looked high quality and clear.

Besides image quality, the other benefit we found in our Rocketbook Everlast review was that the images instantly uploaded to a designated folder. Otherwise, if I’m taking images of my old school notebook, the pictures usually just clutter my camera feed and make it disorganized.

Rocketbook Everlast comes in the Executive size (6″ x 8.8″) or the Letter size (8.5″ x 11″). Executive comes with 36 pages, while the Letter only has 32. The notebook has a plastic spiral ring and thick front and back plastic covers holding it together.  It has a small logo on the front in green letters.

The inside of the front cover acts as a Table of Contents, where you can list the different destinations for your book. It is erasable just like the pages.

FriXion pens are a favorite for many, so it’s a big perk that this is the compatible pen for Rocketbook. The pen has a nice feel to it and clicks using the clip on the side. The pen has an eraser, but don’t use it on the Rocketbook! This can seriously damage the pages.

rocketbook everlast

Everlast has a nice look to it. The notebook is appears high quality and a little futuristic, but not gimmicky. If you are a student, artist, or avid notetaker, the book will likely blend in nicely with whatever your style is. Compared to other notebooks, it isn’t extremely professional looking, but I still feel that it would blend into most work environments well.

Side note: if your notebook is left in a hot car or surpasses 140 degrees Fahrenheit, then your writing may appear faded. Don’t freak out, just put the notebook in your freezer and after about 20 minutes, the writing will reappear. Crazy, but true!

In the end, Rocketbook Everlast lived up to my expectations and I can see why it has so many positive Amazon reviews. The notebook has a low price point considering its reusability. I’ve been using it for months now without any frustrations. It’s easy to write on the pages, upload my notes instantly, and erase the pages for future use. It’s certainly one of those “I-can’t-believe-this-didn’t-already-exist” inventions because it really changes how you take notes and makes workflow way more effective.

Besides being a useful tool, once you add in the price and obvious cool factor Rocketbook makes an amazing gift. In my mind, it’s one of those smart gadgets that makes sense and actively makes life much easier.

Besides the Rocketbook Everlast, there are a few other notebooks by Rocketbook that have the same cloud service functionality. One option is the Rocketbook Wave , which erases  in the microwave .

We compared  Rocketbook Wave vs Everlast  in-depth, if you need more details about the two.

Simply microwave it with a mug of water on top and your notebook will be magically empty. Unlike the Everlast, the Wave won’t last forever, and is only good for 5 uses, just like if you reheat your leftovers too many times.

Rocketbook Color is the larger dry erase version, which is designed for artists, doodlers, and kids.

That’s a wrap on our Rocketbook Everlast review. How would you use the Everlast? Let us know in the comments below!

rocketbook everlast review

I agree with all of your points! This is a spectacular invention. My only complaints were that the frixion pens can run out of ink pretty quickly, and that the eraser on them will mar the pages of the everlast (not something I knew starting out). I’m a college student studying abroad, so this is a super useful (and cheap) option for me!

Rocketbook Wave Smart Notebook Review

Laptop mag verdict.

The Rocketbook Wave is a beautiful and incredibly useful smart notebook with a great app and cool microwave functionality, but it has some flaws.

Easy-to-use app

Erasable via pen and microwave

Cool futuristic design

Reusability is nulled by indents

Pen is an eyesore

Why you can trust Laptop Mag Our expert reviewers spend hours testing and comparing products and services so you can choose the best for you. Find out more about how we test .

What do you do when walls of text fill every page of your notebook to the borders? Simple: Microwave it! For $27, the Rocketbook Wave offers microwave erase functionality and cloud services that let you easily share and save your notes instantly. Every scribble or musing is captured with the Rocket-Book app, which allows you to customize your file destinations as well as the quality and format of each photo. As long as you can get over its limits on reusability (up to five times), not to mention the ugly pen, the Rocketbook Wave is incredibly useful and affordable.

There are two versions of the Rocketbook Wave: the Executive edition and the Standard edition. The 6 x 8.9-inch 80-page Executive Rocketbook Wave notebook features a fresh blue-green cover with delightful, baby-blue, seemingly hand-drawn circles under the futuristic Wave logo (above, on the flip side). Its binding is made up of polypropylene clippables (also used in the lid of a Tic Tacs box), making for a clean and safe alternative to metal. The Standard edition measures 8.5 x 9.5 inches for the same $27 price.

With its bold blue color and tribal-like markings across the side, the Rocketbook's Pilot FriXion pen doesn't really match the notebook's style. What's especially disappointing is that the Rocketbooks work only with FriXion pens. On a better note, there are cute and convenient markings at the bottom of each page to indicate where you want to send the file; the app recognizes this once you fill in the bubble.

rocketbook smart notebook reviews

The FriXion pen comes with an eraser attached, which is helpful, as microwave erasing can be a little tedious.

rocketbook smart notebook reviews

To microwave erase, you put the notebook in a microwave with a rotating glass turntable. Then, you place a coffee mug filled three-quarters of the way with water onto the wave symbol and wait for it to disappear. Finally, you wait for it to cool, and then flip it over and repeat the same process.

The Rocket-Book app is simple to set up and use. Once you select a destination and fill in the appropriate bubble on the page, just align the camera with the page, and it will automatically capture it.

rocketbook smart notebook reviews

The app renders the page in three distinct modes: Color Enhancement (default), Pencil Enhancement, and None. Color Enhancement takes the blue ink on the page and renders parts of it black while fading out some of the dot grid.

MORE: Laptops with the Best Display Brightness

Pencil Enhancement is mostly black and retains more of the dot grid on the page than Color Enhancement does. The None mode means that the app simply captures what's on the page, which is a much more accurate depiction of what you see.

rocketbook smart notebook reviews

The app can produce the files as either PDFs or JPEGs, and it also includes an option to enable Bundle Scans, which allow you to group scans that can be combined into one PDF. Additionally, there's an Auto-Send option to skip manual approval, as well as an Animating Setting to make group scans act as an animated GIF. There are also a ton of neat little features to customize your experience. For example, you can adjust the icon sensitivity, resolution, the way the camera focuses, naming templates and even anti-banding, which prevents vertical or horizontal lines in photos.

rocketbook smart notebook reviews

You can send files to up to seven destinations at a time, including Google Drive , Evernote , Dropbox , OneNote , OneDrive , Slack, Box, Google Photos or any email. These destinations are assigned to symbols, which you can mark at the bottom of each page. You can even select a default destination for unmarked pages.

Writing Experience

The Rocketbook Wave is big enough to not require a surface to write on, and the pen is comfortable to use. But when you finally get to see the notes in the PDF, they don't look that great. With the default Color Enhancement, the dot grid pattern on each page looks like it was erased a thousand times and then sent to a copier. Plus, the black ink mixed with traces of the blue looks incredibly odd.

Color Enhancement (default)

rocketbook smart notebook reviews

The Pencil Enhancement does look a little better, producing a sharper image while focusing on the black in the picture. However, it still suffers from the copier look.

Pencil Enhancement

rocketbook smart notebook reviews

While it may be a little dark, the image with no enhancements is superior due to its real-world accuracy. This version is simply less messy; the ink doesn't fuse different colors, and the dot grid isn't melted into the page.

None - Taking Picture as is.

When I finally tested the Rocketbook in the microwave, it worked wonderfully to erase the ink, but it didn't remove the indentations. Because my writing is hard, it digs deeper into the pages.

rocketbook smart notebook reviews

That means I can still read what I wrote previously, but thankfully, the app doesn't pick it up. The mug left a slight burn mark on the flip side of the notebook after I microwaved it as well. Although this notebook is meant to be erasable and reusable up to five times, I can't see it lasting very long, especially for rigorous notetakers.

Bottom Line

With the $27 Rocketbook Wave, keeping notes on your phone or sending them to classmates and co-workers has never been so convenient. The notebook's durability does come into question, though, as writing left indentations after just one reuse. However, it does last longer than a regular paper notebook and has a user-friendly Rocket-Book app that allows for the instant transfer of notes. If you're looking for a convenient way to store and share your notes digitally, the Rocketbook Wave is a highly effective option.

At the Good Housekeeping Institute , we test everything from tech gadgets to home office accessories, including tablets , laptops and desks . To find the best smart notebooks, we reviewed 11 smart notebooks, evaluating each one for its ease of setup and use, design (including its size, portability and feel), performance, app intuitiveness and overall user experience. We also asked at-home testers to share feedback on their experience using each notebook.

Look no further than the Remarkable 2 if you’re seeking a smart notebook that comes closest to feeling like real paper but can transform handwritten notes into easy-to-read text . The 10.3-inch display gives ample room for note taking and we found the device both lightweight and comfortable to hold.

We’re especially fond of the numerous writing utensil options that are included, such as the choice among ballpoint pen, pencil, paintbrush calligraphy and more. Though we wish more ink colors were available for sketching and that the display featured a backlight for low-light situations, we like that this smart notebook automatically digitizes your notes (no phone scans necessary!) and stores them for future use.

Unfortunately, to access unlimited cloud storage and sync notes across your smartphone and laptop you’ll need a $2.99 per month Connect subscription, which ultimately can make the Remarkable 2 as expensive as a tablet. But if you go without the subscription, you’ll still have access to integrations with Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive and email. That means you can send your meeting notes into Google Drive directly from your notebook.

Though our pros admit that you have to invest a bit of time to feel comfortable with all of Remarkable’s many features, this smart notebook is a top choice for avid notetakers who want to get organized digitally without all of a tablet’s distractions.

The 21,000+ five-star Amazon reviews say it all: This 32-page lined notebook comes with a Pilot Frixion pen and microfiber cloth, so you can wipe away your notes or doodles and start anew.

But before watching your ink disappear, grab your smartphone to capture a photo and safely store your notes in the Rocketbook app. Our pros found this process both intuitive and easy and love that you can email your handwritten notes or send them to a destination such as Google Drive, Evernote, Dropbox, OneDrive and more directly from the app. You can even turn handwriting into text for certain destinations by enabling “OCR Transcription;" just don't expect this to work across all platforms. Our pros found it easier than expected to wipe down pages with a damp cloth and were impressed by the resulting clean, blank page — though we’re curious to see how pages look after extended reuse. We would have preferred if Rocketbooks came with a Bluetooth-connected pen that automatically captures content, but we like that the FriXion is easy to replace should you lose it.

The Pilot FriXion is actually a Good Housekeeping Seal Holder and "smart" in the sense that it uses technology that allows the pen's ink to be erased by using friction. If you want a smaller notebook, our pros also recommend the Rocketbook Mini , as well as the Rocketbook Fusion or Rocketbook Pro if you’re looking for various page layouts to help with daily organization.

Combine an e-reader with a smart notebook and you get the Kindle Scribe. Like with most Kindles, you can download books straight to your device but with the Scribe you can also jot down notes and make to-do lists in the notebook section.

We were impressed by how nice it felt writing on the Scribe’s 10.2-inch paperwhite display, which isn’t exactly like paper but definitely doesn’t feel like a traditional tablet. We also love the comfortable feel of the included pen, which features a handy button that you can program to highlight notes or change the pen’s tip to pen, fountain pen, marker or pencil.

While this e-reader is larger than other Kindles and has a border on the left that’s larger than we’d like, our experts found it intuitive to use, fast and responsive. It also boasts a claimed 12-week battery life so you don’t have to worry about it dying on you anytime soon. Plus, avid readers will especially appreciate that you can take handwritten notes on a book’s text via sticky notes. Just keep in mind that the Scribe cannot sync your notes with popular platforms such as Google Drive or Dropbox, but you can email them to yourself to save them on another device.

Moleskine Smart Writing Set

Smart Writing Set

If you’re a loyal user of Moleskin notebooks and love their look and feel, then this smarter version was made for you. Unlike every other smart notebook on this list, the Moleskine Smart Writing Set gives you the best of both worlds, allowing you to digitize your notes on the Moleskine app while still holding on to your paper version .

While it’s pricey, our pros were blown away by how effectively handwritten notes and sketches were transformed into a digital copy in the Notes App in real-time thanks to the included smart pen. Plus, even if you don’t have the app open as you write, your notes will be saved directly to the pen and later synced into the app.

We found that the pen paired to Bluetooth quickly and that the compatible Notes app was easy to use and share work from. We recommend this upgraded Moleskin for working professionals or college students who like to take handwritten notes but could benefit from a digitized version. Though we wish you could reuse your notebooks once you’ve filled them up, a replacement notebook is fortunately similarly priced to standard Moleskins.

Boogie Board Smart Scan Reusable Notebook

Smart Scan Reusable Notebook

Consider the Boogie Board Blackboard if you’re looking for a smart notebook that’s as affordable as it is easy to use. While it’s not a notebook per se, the notepad display is great for kids who will enjoy scribbling notes or doddles with the included pen, similar to how you would use a whiteboard. Best of all, you don’t have to charge anything; just grab a smartphone to capture, search and share your work by scanning your screen on the Blackboard app.

While this model isn’t as easy to use with a variety of templates (we found that the templates didn’t stay in place), the Boogie Board can be a fun way to capture creative work. You won’t be able to convert handwriting to text like you can with more expensive models so it's not ideal for adults, but we do like that clearing a page is super easy with the press of the central button.

The pen includes an eraser tip, though we found that this method doesn't work as effectively as the clear button. Also, keep in mind that our experts noticed fragments of lighting captured when uploading photos into the app.

How we test smart notebooks

double line break

For this story, our experts in the Good Housekeeping Institute's Media & Tech Lab evaluated 11 smart notebooks and asked at-home testers to share feedback on their experience using each notebook.

To assess ease of use, we considered how easy the smart notebook was to set up and whether Bluetooth pens paired seamlessly (if applicable). We also evaluated the intuitiveness of companion apps. To determine performance, we scanned in photos of notes and assessed whether the process felt quick and pain-free, as well as how well notes were captured. We also factored in whether it was easy to share notes and content to other platforms, such as Google Drive, email and more. For smart notebooks that don't require phone scanning, we evaluated the user experience as well as navigating the interface.

Lastly, we assessed the look and feel of each notebook and whether it was akin to using a traditional notebook, assessing whether the notebook or its pen were comfortable to hold, responsive to pressure and more.

What to look for when shopping for a smart notebook

double line break

✔️ Ease of use: The first question you should answer when looking for a smart notebook is whether you prefer one that’s similar to a traditional notebook or one that’s closer to a tablet (or one that falls somewhere in between). What’s easy to use for some may not be as convenient for others. For instance, some smart notebooks use paper; content is either captured through the assistance of a smart pen and uploaded into an app, or you’ll have to manually take photos of your notes to store them in the app. Alternatively, there are smart notebooks similar to tablets where you take notes and draw directly on the display. These notes are then stored on the device itself (or within a cloud) and can later be shared.

✔️ Portability: Is your smart notebook lightweight, slim and easy to transport? Consider these features if you plan on taking your notebook with you to the office or school on a daily basis.

✔️ Storage or pages: Consider the number of pages your smart notebook comes with to make sure you’ll have enough space for your needs. If you’re opting for a digital smart notebook, take into account how much storage space is available to ensure you have enough room to save your work directly to the device, or to a cloud.

✔️ Extra features: Some smart notebooks feature accessories such as cases, templates and even keyboards that you should keep in mind when choosing.

Rocketbook Fusion Review

A notebook that you can use again and again

Rocketbook Fusion hero

It pretty much gives you the feeling of pen and paper, letting you record notes how you want them. However, the Rocketbook Fusion has a trick up its sleeve: you can wipe pages clean to reuse them. An app lets you quickly take backups of notes and store them where you want them, although its OCR feature wasn't particularly good when I used it. Even so, this is a well priced high-tech alternative to replace your old paper notebooks.

  • Works like pen and paper
  • Easy to wipe clean
  • Smart app lets you scan pages
  • OCR is poor
  • Front cover looks cheap

Key Specifications

  • Review Price: £39.99
  • Reusable notebook
  • Includes FriXion erasable pen, and cloth
  • Diary, planner, objective, grid and lined pages

Try as it may, digital technology hasn’t managed to replace the ease and convenience of being able to hand-write notes. The Rocketbook Fusion aims to change that with its high-tech paper that can be wiped and used time and time again, combined with an app that will scan and save notes for use.

Cheaper than its digital-based alternatives, such as the Remarkable 2 E Ink tablet, this notebook feels much more like writing for real. A slightly limited number of pages and slow drying ink are minor issues but this is a handy high-tech way of replacing a low-tech item.

Design and writing – Pretty much like paper but with slower-drying ink

Rocketbook has several notebooks that use its technology, including the Core, which just has line pages, and the Fusion that I have here. This book is designed to replace many other notebooks, and contains pages with templates for tasks, two pages of weekly planning, a calendar, objectives, and then a decent chunk of pages with grids or lines.

Rocketbook Fusion planner pages

That gives you a fair amount of flexibility, but the ideal would be an openable ring binder that lets you choose the combination of pages. A Filofax replacement, if you will.

Despite the cost of the notebook, it comes with a rather cheap-feeling hard plastic front to it. I’d like a more premium feel, more along the lines of a Moleskine notebook.

Rocketbook Fusion front cover

All of the pages are made from Rocketbook’s high-tech synthetic paper, which has the feel of a whiteboard: it’s flexible like paper but has a high-gloss sheen on it. While the company’s original notebooks could be wiped up to five times using a microwave, you can just wipe the Fusion’s pages clean using a damp cloth (cloth provided).

The only caveat is that you can only use Rocketbook FriXion pens. You get a 0.7 ball pen in the pack, which is a fairly cheap-feeling plastic model: Rocketbook also sells different pens, including different colours and you can buy refills that should fit most ball pens.

Rocketbook Fusion pen

Writing with the pen is like writing on paper, with a couple of caveats. First, it seems to take a while for the ink to truly flow, so my first characters always looked a little faint. Secondly, the ink takes a while to dry, so be careful of smudging or closing the book too soon.

The results are impressive, and the Fusion is as readable as any regular notebook. And, when you’re finished with your text, you can just take the cloth, get it damp and wipe it to clean off the page and start all over again. Just wait until the page is fully dry, otherwise the ink won’t stick.

Rocketbook Fusion cleaning

There’s a very faint outline of previous words if you look at the page at the right angle, but not enough that this will put you off writing. This suggests that at some point some pages may get worn out, so I recommend trying to use the entire notebook as evenly as you can. Again, it would be nice if you could buy replacement pages only and slot them in, just in case you have an issue with a single page.

App – Quick to scan with some neat options but OCR didn’t work well for me

So far so good, but what if you don’t want to lose your notes? That’s where the app comes in. This lets you scan pages, with the app recognising the QR code and automatically lining up the camera, cutting out areas around your desk. It’s far more fluid and gives better results than other scanning apps designed for regular paper, such as Scanbot.

Inside the app, you can set destinations to have your scans sent to. Each destination has a thumbnail icon, including a rocket, a diamond and an apple. For each choice, you can set the default options for how you want the scan to go across. You can choose to bundle scans together (scan multiple pages), and whether or not you want OCR turned on. There’s a huge range of destinations including email, Google Drive, Dropbox and Evernote.

Rocketbook Fusion app destinations

While you can just scan a page and then choose the destination from the app, you’ll notice that the bottom of each page in the Rocketbook Fusion has the same icons. Just put a cross through the destinations you want, and the app can read these.

Rocketbook Fusion icons

The quality of the scans will depend on the quality of the phone and camera that you’re using, but I found them very good using my iPhone X. The OCR wasn’t so good. Again, this will depend on how neat your handwriting is; for me, both the quality of the translation and the layout were pretty poor. OCR may be useful in a bind, but I tend to rely on the PDF notes instead.

Should you buy the Rocketbook Fusion?

The original microwavable Rocketbook could only be used five times, but the new Fusion gives you far more goes. It comes very close to replacing paper, and the ability to scan and save notes to PDF is really handy. If you love hand-writing notes and want a well-priced way to go high-tech, although I’d prefer it to have a nice front cover and the option of buying extra or replacement pages would be nice.

If you’re sick of constantly buying new notebooks for work or study, then you’re going to want to get your hands on this incredible, endlessly reusable smart notebook.

Rocketbook’s Core Reusable Smart Notebook , normally $54.95, is on sale on Amazon Australia for almost half price at $29.61.

This 36-page erasable, lined notebook can be used endlessly. Just write, scan and then wipe away.

It’s super easy to use — simply allow 15 seconds for ink from a Pilot Frixion pen, marker or highlighter to dry in order to bond to Rocketbook’s specialised composite paper.

Then use the QR code in the bottom corner to save your notes to the Rocketbook app before wiping away the ink with a damp cloth. It’s that easy.

This 36 page erasable notebook can be used endlessly.

All handwritten notes can be saved to the free Rocketbook app and easily transferred to your cloud service of choice, including Google Drive, Dropbox, Evernote, OneNote, Slack and iCloud.

The notebook also features sophisticated AI technology that allows you to use Rocketbook smart titles, search and email transcriptions, and easily name, search and send your notes, which means no more flipping through pages.

For only $29.61, you’ll receive one Rocketbook Notebook , 1 Pilot Frixion Pen and one microfiber cloth.

The Rocketbook Notebook has a 4.5-star rating on Amazon Australia and shoppers are saying it’s “great quality.”

All handwritten notes can be saved to the free Rocketbook app.

“I would go through so many notebooks, but this has been amazing, at the end of every day I can take a quick snap and save. The part I like the most is I can actually search for my notes,” said one happy customer.

“After using this, I will never need a paper notebook again,” added a second.

“I really love this notebook so much so I have got my team on board and we all use one at work now. The ability to email and send to One Drive instantly from a photo using the Rocketbook app is magic. Really recommend getting this product without hesitation,” said a third.
