About International College

The International College of Zhejiang University is a special teaching and administrative institute responsible for the enrollment, service and Chinese as Second Language (CSL) program, consisting of Office of General Affairs, Office of International Promotion of Chinese Language, Office of Degree Student Affairs, Office of CSL program, and Foreign Experts and Overseas Students Service Center, whose head office is located in Yuquan Campus with two other administrative offices located in Zijianggang Campus and Huajiachi Campus respectively.

The university had its first enrollment of international students in 1979 and since then, more than 25,000 international students have come to study in the school.

About Hangzhou

Zhejiang University is located in the historical and picturesque city of Hangzhou, Zhejiang, a beautiful and prosperous province in southeastern China with rich cultural heritage as well as fine traditional products such as silk and tea. Honored as “the most beautiful and magnificent city in the world” by the Italian traveler Marco Polo, Hangzhou was the capital of China in the Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279). As a tourist resort with world fame, it now boasts many scenic spots and historic sites such as West Lake, Soul-Conceal Buddhist Temple, Six-Harmony Pagoda and the primitive Liangzhu Relics as well as four national museums of silk, tea, traditional Chinese medicine and pottery respectively. Hangzhou enjoys a mild climate throughout the year with four distinct seasons of special beauty. Hangzhou is only two hours from Shanghai by train or by bus. Many cities like Beijing, Xi’an, Guilin, Kunming and Hongkong are all within easy reach by train or airplane.

Yuquan Campus

Yuquan Campus is located in the northwestern corner of the West Lake, and next to the Plant Park. The total area is over 1,700 mu. There are buildings with areas of 700,000 square meters, where administration offices are located. Currently, administration offices of the following 3 Faculties 21 school (department) are located in this campus: Faculty of Science, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Information, College of Electrical Engineering, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Department of Energy Engineering, Department of Materials Science and Chemical Engineering, College of Information Science and Engineering, College of Biomedical Engineering and Instrumental Science, Department of Chemical Engineering & Biochemical Engineering, School of Aeronautics and Astronautics, College of Computer Science and Technology, College of Economics, and College of Public Administration, and etc.

Xixi Campus

The Xixi Campus is located in the Hangzhou High Technology Development Zone, northwest of Hangzhou City. The campus occupies a field of 46 hectares, and there are buildings with areas of total 370,000 square meters. Xixi is the former Hangzhou University. Currently in this campus, there are administration offices of three colleges, that is, College of Humanities, College of Education, and College of Media International Culture, Teaching and Research Institute of Political Theory. In addition, there are one national leading academic discipline. There are also a computing center, a central laboratory, a multimedia center, and a library holding 1,650,000 copies of books and 11,570 types of Chinese-English magazines.

Huajiachi Campus

The Huajiachi Campus is located in the east side of Hangzhou City. The campus occupies a field of 99 hectares, and there are buildings with areas of 280,000 square meters. Huajiaci is the former Zhejiang Agricultural University. In this campus, there are three national leading academic disciplines, and one national basic research and teaching personnel training base. Additionally, there are a multimedia center, a computing center, a computer network center, and a library holding 800,000 copies of books.

Zhijiang Campus

The Zhijiang Campus is located in the south of Hangzhou City, and near the Qiantangjiang River. At present, School of Guanghua Law is located at the Campus.

Zijingang Campus

The Zijingang Campus is located at the north-west of the city and just 5 km away from the Yuquan Campus, Zijingang Campus is the main campus of Zhejiang University, where administration offices of the following 3 Faculties 7 school (department) are located in this campus: Faculty of Humanities, Faculty of Social Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, College of Civil Engineering and Architecture, School of Interrnational Studies, College of Life Sciences, School of Basic Medicine Sciences, School of Public Health, College of Pharmaceutical Science, School of Management. Zijingang Campus has now buildings of 600,000 square meter floor space, accommodating the University’s 13,000 first- and second-year students.

On-Campus Dining

There are three international Student dining halls respectively located in the International College Building on Yuquan Campus, Overseas Student Dormitory Building at the main gate of Yuquan Campus and Overseas Student Dormitory Building on Hua-jia-chi Campus. Meals are served in a a la carte manner.

Students can also have your meals in the student cafeterias on different campuses. It is estimated daily expenses for decent meals will be from 15 RMB yuan to 40 RMB yuan.

🏠 Accommodation

Zhejiang University possesses different types of International Student Dormitories with different conditions and specifications. The accommodation standard for international undergraduates is double room or quadruple room. During the period of schooling, university may adjust students’ accommodated campus according to accommodation resources.

SIE Provides international students with comfortable apartments at the prices of at least 900 RMB/room/month (rent for at least three months). Rooms are facilitated with internet access, television and bathroom with 24-hour hot water. On each floor,there are public kitchen and laundry for International students. Students can live on campus too. Students can choose home-stay  after they negotiated with the host family, which offered a separate room, breakfast and supper.

Phd in business management admission requirements.

Applicants must provide the following information for  admission  to Capella programs and specializations:

  • A master’s degree from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, or from an internationally recognized institution
  •  Your official master’s transcripts, with a minimum grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale
  • A valid, government-issued form of photo identification

GRE and GMAT are not required for admission.

The MSc Project Management programme at IBSS is the first educational programme in China registered by the International Project Management Association (IPMA).

Following the IPMA ICB4 standards, the MSc Project Management programme features a blend of core project management techniques and vital soft skills. Through this combination, the programme provides students with the skills and knowledge necessary to successfully manage projects in various industries and backgrounds.

Within a learning environment fully embedded with technology, MSc Project Management students can acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to develop into the next generation of top talent in this field. During the last semester of my masters, I undertook a work placement at a Chinese-German company which gave me valuable work experience and the opportunity to apply project management knowledge, such as stakeholder management and how to implement projects in a real-life, fast-moving environment. I was also able to apply some of the intercultural and multilingual skills in English and Chinese I developed during my studies.

The PhD student will work in the EU project GreenTurn that focuses on sustainable e-commerce and returns. The PhD student will be part of the Urban Freight Platform funded by the Volvo Research and Educational Foundations which offers many collaboration and networking opportunities with top researchers worldwide. Chalmers University of Technology is well known for its excellent research and education, it has been ranked 2nd in Europe in the subject of Transportation Science & Technology in 2023 according to Shanghai's Global Ranking, and has a strong collaboration with industry and the public sector. Information about the division and the department The Department of Technology Management and Economics (TME) conducts research about the interaction between technology development, industrial systems, society, people and the environment. The department is organized in five divisions for research and teaching. The research can be divided into three main research areas, Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Supply Chain & Operations Management and Sustainability & Society Studies. The position is placed at the Division of Supply and Operations Management (SOM) which conducts research, education and outreach activities related to transportation, logistics, operations management, and industrial marketing and purchasing. All these fields, in turn, relate to supply chain management. The division focuses on three broad areas: Industrial marketing and purchasing, transportation and logistics, and operations management. The division pursues problem-oriented and inter-disciplinary research, with strong emphasis on industry relevance with high visibility in leading academic journals. Major responsibilities As PhD student you will take part in research at the division in the area of urban logistics. The exact focus of the work will be decided in interaction with the main supervisor. Your major responsibility is to pursue doctoral studies in relation to a specific research aim. At large, PhD studies include a number of doctoral courses, reviewing literature, conducting research studies, and interacting with industrial companies. As a PhD student you take an active role in the research project in preparing for and collecting empirical data, conducting analysis and presenting results. During the project, results will continuously be presented at seminars and on international conferences. Large emphasis when selecting a candidate will be laid on your ability to analyze quantitative data and to describe your results in oral and written forms. Position summary The position is a full-time temporary employment. The position is limited to five years (1+2+2). You will spend approximately 80% of this time on research. As a PhD student you will also, to a maximum of 20%, be involved in teaching bachelor and master courses and/or perform other departmental tasks. You will be enrolled into the postgraduate programme at the research school Technology Management and Economics. The employment is bound to successful completion of department evaluations after one and three years.

To qualify as a PhD student, you must have a master's level degree corresponding to at least 240 higher education credits in a relevant field.
