मनुष्य को गुण, कर्म और स्वभाव से शान्त प्रकृति वाला प्राणी माना जाता है; यद्यपि हर आदमी के भीतरी कोने में अज्ञान रूप से एक हिंसक प्राणी भी छिपा रहा करता है। प्रायः मनुष्य भरसक चेष्टा कर के भी उसे जागने नहीं देता। जब किसी कारणवश वह जाग ही पड़ता है, तभी तरह-तरह की संघर्षात्मक क्रिया-प्रक्रियाओं और प्रतिक्रियाओं का भी जन्म हुआ करता है। उन्हीं के घर्षण-प्रत्याघर्षण से उत्पन्न हुआ करती है युद्धों की ज्वाला। यह घर्षण-प्रयाघर्षण जब व्यक्ति या व्यक्तियों के बीच हुआ करता है, तब तो इस सामान्य लड़ाई, गुटीय या साम्प्रदायिक झगड़े जैसे नाम दे दिये जाते हैं। लेकिन जब इस प्रकार की बातें दो देशों के बीच हो जाया करती हैं, तब उसे नाम दिया जाता है-युद्ध! इस प्रकार युद्ध और शान्ति आपस में विलोम कहे और माने जाते हैं। एक के रहते दूसरे का रह पाना कतई संभव नहीं हुआ करता।

सामान्य जीवन जीने के लिए, जीवन में स्वाभाविक गति से प्रगति एवं विकास करने के लिए शान्ति का बना रहना बहुत आवश्यक हुआ करता है। संस्कृति, साहित्य तथा अन्य सभी तरह की ललित एवं उपयोगी कलाएँ भी तभी विकास पा सकती हैं, जब चारों ओर का वातावरण शान्त एवं सामान्य रूप से सुखद हो। हर प्रकार के व्यापार की उन्नति भी शान्त वातावरण में ही संभव हुआ करती है। इन सभी की उन्नति और विकास कोई एक-दो दिन में ही नहीं हो जाया करता। हजारों वर्षों की निरन्तर साधना और प्रयत्न के बाद ही ज्ञान-विज्ञान, साहित्य-कला और संस्कृति आदि का कोई स्वरूप बन पाया करता है। लेकिन युद्ध का एक ही झटका युग-युगों की इस साधना को देखते-ही-देखते मटिया-मेट कर दिया करता है। कला-संस्कृति के सभी रूप खण्डहर बन कर रह जाया करते हैं। युद्ध के समय तो विनाश हुआ ही करता है, उसके समाप्त हो जाने के बाद भी वर्षों तक उसका प्रभाव बना रहता है। इसी कारण युद्ध का मनुष्य हमेशा विरोध करता रहता है। शान्ति हमेशा मानव-जाति का इच्छित विषय रहा और आज भी है।

आरम्भ से मनुष्य युद्धों का विरोध करता आ रहा है। युद्ध न होने देने की मानव-जाति ने सदा भरसक चेष्टाएँ भी की हैं, फिर भी तो युद्धों को सदा के लिए समाप्त कर शान्ति बनाए रख पाने में मानव कभी पूर्ण काम नहीं हुआ। महाभारत का युद्ध आरम्भ होने से पहले श्रीकृष्ण भगवान् स्वयं शान्ति-दूत बनकर कौरव-सभा में गए थे। उन्होंने पाँच पाण्डव भाइयों के लिए मात्र पाँच गाँव की मांग रखकर महायुद्ध को टालने का प्रयास किया था; लेकिन दुर्योधन जैसे दुवृत्तों ने उन का प्रयास सफल नहीं होने दिया। खैर, वह तो बीते युगों की बात है। आधुनिक काल में भी प्रथम विश्व युद्ध के बाद ‘लीग आफ नेशन्स’ जैसी संस्था का गठन युद्धों की विभीषिका हमेशा के लिए समाप्त कर शान्ति बनाए रखने और उसके क्षेत्र का अनवरत विकास करते रहने के लिए किया गया था। पर कहाँ रहने दी शान्ति युद्ध-पिपासुओं ने! दूसरा विश्व युद्ध हुआ और पहले से कहीं बढ़ कर विनाशकारी प्रमाणित हुआ। उसके बाद फिर ‘संयुक्त राष्ट्र संघ’ (United Nations Organisation) जैसी, संस्था का गठन युद्ध से छुटकारा पाकर शान्ति-कामना से ही किया गया; पर क्या युद्धों का अन्त और शान्ति की स्थापना संभव हो पाई है? वह तो क्या होती थी, आज उसी की आड में छोटे राष्ट्रों पर युद्ध तो थोपे ही जा रहे हैं, दादा-राष्ट्रों द्वारा तरह-तरह की धमकियाँ भी दी जा रही हैं। छोटे-छोटे तो कई युद्ध हो भी चुके हैं। तीन-चार बार तो भारत जैसे स्वभाव से शान्ति प्रेमी देश को युद्ध के लिए बाध्य होना पड़ चुका है। अभी भी सीमाओं पर हमेशा भयावह युद्ध के बादल मण्डराते रहते हैं।

एक सत्य यह भी है कि कई बार शान्ति बनाए रखने के लाख प्रयत्न करते रहने पर भी राष्ट्रों को अपनी अस्मिता, सार्वभौमिकता, स्वतंत्रता और स्वाभिमान की रक्षा के लिए युद्ध लड़ने पड़ते हैं। जैसे द्वापर युग में पाण्डवों को, त्रेता युग में श्रीराम को और आज के युग में कई बार भारत को लड़ने पड़े हैं। इस प्रकार शान्ति यदि मान का स्वभाव एवं काम्य विषय है, तो युद्ध परीस्थितिजन्य अनिवार्यता बन जाया करती है। यानि न चाहते हुए भी व्यक्तियों-राष्ट्रों को युद्ध करना ही पड़ता है। फिर भी इतना तो निश्चत है कि किसी भी हाल में युद्ध अच्छी बात नहीं। पराजित और विजेता दोनों को इसके दुष्परिणामों से अनिवार्यतः दो-चार होना पड़ता है। फिर भी मानव का प्रयत्न इसी दिशा में रहना चाहिए कि युद्ध न हों, शान्ति बनी रह सके।

यह एक तथ्य है कि सत्य, अहिंसा, प्रेम, भाईचारा, मानवता, विश्व बन्धुत्व जैसे शब्दों का आविष्कार भावना के स्तर पर शान्ति-प्रेमियों द्वारा शान्ति बनाए रखने के लिए ही किया गया है। असत्य, हिंसा, घृणा आदि का विरोध वास्तव में सभी तरह के लड़ाई-झगड़े और युद्ध भी समाप्त करने के लिए किया गया है। धर्म, उदारता, मानवीयता जैसी कल्पनाएँ भी शान्ति की स्थापना और विस्तार के लिए ही की गई हैं। फिर भी युद्ध समाप्त नहीं, किए जा सके। शान्ति स्थापित नहीं हो सकी। दो विलोम परस्पर नीचा दिखाने को कार्यरत हैं और सदा रहेगे – यह एक चरम सत्य हैं।

युद्ध के लाभ और हानियां – Advantages And Disadvantages Of War

युद्ध और लाभ! नहीं, युद्ध का तो नाम सुनते ही रोंगटे खड़े हो जाते हैं। युद्ध मूल रूप से कोई अच्दी बात नहीं है। यों स्वभाव से भी मनुष्य शांतिप्रिय प्राणी है और युद्धों से बचा ही रहना चाहता है, फिर भी कई बार उसे युद्ध करने की विवशता ढोनी ही पड़ती है। हानि उठाकर भी तब उसका प्रयोजन राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर सुरक्षा और विजय प्राप्त करना हुआ करता है। ऐसा हो जाना लाभ ही तो है, पर कितना अच्छा हो कि युद्ध का अवसर ही देशों-राष्ट्रों के जीवन में न आए। क्या ऐसा हो पाना संभव है?

संभव तभी हो सकता है, जब व्यक्ति उदार बनकर मात्र बातचीत द्वरा ही समस्यांए हल करने का संकल्प का ले। परंतु ऐसा हो कहां पाता है?

कुछ विद्वानों की यह उचित मान्यता है कि मूलत: बुरा और विनाशक होते हुए भी कई बार युद्ध लडऩा अनिवार्य एंव लाभप्रद हुआ करता है। जब कोई निहित स्वार्थी व्यक्ति, देश या राष्ट्र किसी अन्य पर अपनी बातें, धारणाएं या सत्ता थोपना चाहता हो तब युद्ध अपने बचाव, सुरक्षा और आत्म-सम्मान की रक्षा के लिए आवश्यक तथा लाभप्रद हो जाया करता है। बड़े-से-बड़ा बलिदान देकर और कष्ट सहकर भी मातृभूमि की रक्षा मानव का परम कर्तव्य हुआ करता है। इस लक्ष्य की प्राप्ति के लिए युद्ध को अनुचित नहीं कहा जा सकता। देशों-राष्ट्रों के जीवन में कई बार ऐसा समय भी आया करता है जब उसे चारों ओर से आलस्य, उन्माद, लापरवाही और बिखराव का-सा वातावरण घेर लिया करता है। तब युद्ध का बिगुल सहसा बजकर इन सब दूषणों को एकाएक दूर कर जातियों-राष्ट्रों को सप्राण बना दिया करता है। युद्ध नई ऊर्जा, नई उत्सुकता, साहस और उत्साह को भी जातियों के जीवन में जगाया करता है। उसे नए-नए साधन जुटाने, आत्मनिर्भर बनाने की दिशा में अग्रसर किया करता है। जैसा कि सन 1965 में लड़े गए भारत-पाक युद्ध ने भारत को अनाज के मामले में आत्म-निर्भर होने की दिशा में अग्रसर किया। सन 1962 के चीनी आक्रमण ने देश को शस्त्रास्त्र एंव शक्ति के स्त्रोत जुटाने की प्रेरणा दी। इन युद्धों का ही परिणाम है कि आज हम एक सशक्त राष्ट्र के रूप में, आत्मनिर्भर एंव स्वावलंबी देश बनकर विश्व के मानचित्र पर उभर कर अपना एक अलग एंव महत्वपूर्ण स्थान रखने लगे हैं। न केवल तीसरी दुनिया की, बल्कि विश्व की प्रमुख शक्तियों में से एक महत्वपूर्ण शक्ति माने जाने लगे हैं।

ऊपर बताए अनुसार कई लाभ रहते हुए भी हमारे विचार में युद्धों का न होना ही बेतर है। उससे हानियां ही अधिक हुआ करती हैं। युगां-युगों की साधना और प्रयत्नों से मानव जिस सभ्यता-संसकृति एंव उपयोगी साधनों-प्रसाधनों का निर्माण करता है, युद्ध का एक ही झटका उस सबको विनष्ट करके रा दिया करता है। युद्ध मानवता के सभी उच्च मानों-मूल्यों, सुख-शांति और समृद्धि की उपलब्धियों को क्षण भर में ही समाप्त कर सकता है। उसके कारण जो अविश्वास और तनाव का वातावरण बन जाया करता है, वह फिर कभी चैन नहीं लेने देता। मानव की मूल समस्याओं की ओर से ध्यान हटा केवल युद्ध-विषयक तैयारियों में लीन कर दियाकरता है। मनुष्य की शक्ति, समय और साधन सभी कुछ उसी ओर केंद्रित होकर रह जाया करते हैं। प्रगति औश्र विकास की बातें, सुख-शांति की बातें, कला-संस्कृति की बातें सभी भूली-बिसरी यादें बन जाया करती है। जीवन विभीषिक, अस्थिर, उन्मन बनकर रह जाता है। आज भारत ही नहीं, सारा विश्व महंगाई के जिस भीषण दौर में से गुजर रहा है, सभी जानते हैं कि इसका आरंभ प्रथम विश्व-युद्ध के अंतराल से हुआ था। दूसरे विश्व-युद्ध ने उसे और भी तूल दिया। आज जो पारस्परिक अविश्वास और निहित स्वार्थों के कारण चारों ओर युद्ध का सा वातावरण बना हुआ है, सभी जाने है कि विश्व की आय के स्त्रोतों का अधिकांश भाग इस वातावरण से बचाव के नाम पर युद्धक मानसिकता को बढ़ावा देने और भयानकतम शस्त्रास्त्रों के निर्माण में ही खर्च हो रहा है। परिणामस्वरूप महंगाई का भूत भयानक से भयानकतम होकर अपना विस्तार करता जा रहा है ऐसी स्थिति में युद्ध से प्राप्त होने वाले तथाकथित लाभ भी स्वत: ही समाप्त हो जाया करते हैं। शेष रह जाया करती है मात्र हानियां, जिन्हें भोगने के लिए आज हम विवश हो रहे हैं और अनवरत होते जाएंगे।

ऊपर के ब्यौरे से स्पष्ट है कि युद्ध से लाभ स्वल्प और वह भी कल्पित ही अधिक है, जबकि हानियों की प्रत्यक्षत: भरमार है। युद्ध हजारों-लाखों को अनाथ और बेसहारा बना दिया करते हैं। महामारियां, अकाल और भुखमरियों का कारण बनते हैं। इन सबके कारण मात्र विनाश ही तो पल्ले पड़ा करता है। अत: युद्ध से होने वाले लाभों की बातें भूल उनसे होने वाली व्यापक हानियों के आलोक में हमें ऐसी चेष्टा आज से ही आरंभ कर देनी चाहिए जिससे कि युद्ध का भूत हमेशा के लिए बोतल में बंद हो सागर ही गहराई में डूब जाए। ऐसा होना ही मानवता और उसके भविष्य की सुरक्षा के लिए आवश्यक है। अन्य कोई उपाय नहीं। बड़े और समर्थ राष्ट्रों को उदात्त मानवीय दृष्टि अपनाकर युद्धों की विभीषिका से निरीज मानवता को छुटकारा दिलाना चाहिए। रूस द्वारा स्वेच्छा से अनेक शस्त्रों को नष्ट करने की बात एक अच्छी पहल और शुरुआत मानी जा सकती है। जब अमेरिका भी ऐसा कदम उठाएगा, वह दिन युद्धग्रस्त मानवता के लिए वास्तव में बड़ा शुभ होगा।

The advantages and the disadvantages of war will be reviewed from the perspectives of Boot (2006), Coyne & Matthews (2011), Howard (2000), Lomborg (2003) and Tzu (2009). The distinct perspectives of the benefits of war will be reviewed and followed by the disadvantages of war.

Wars are expensive in terms of human costs and economic costs. Notwithstanding, wars have brought numerous technological advantages to mankind. Nuclear energy was initially discovered and applied as a military device. Plastic surgery had been invented in order to remove the scars from the soldiers who had derived in the wars. GPS devices were initially used on spy satellites which were applied during the period of the Cold war (Boot, 2006).

The race into space and the search for extraterrestrial life was an outcome of the Second World War. Many military philosophers have perceived that if a nation desires peace, they must be ready for war. If it were not for the Revolutionary war, the United States would not exist. If it were not for the Civil war between the states, slavery might have continued as a legal institution in the United States. Wars bring out the worst and the best in societies (Boot, 2006; Howard, 2000).

War is disadvantageous as a result of the human and the economic costs. Many nations apply the fear of incurring the disadvantages of war as a bargaining tool. War is an ineffective means of resolving disputes due to its attribute of causing the destruction of economic and human resources which might otherwise benefit the opposing factions. There are three conditions which cause nations which would normally resolve their differences peacefully to go to war with one another and to accept the potential disadvantage of war (Coyne & Mathers, 2011: Tzu, 2009).

Wars occur when the two opposing sides do not concur with regards to their relative influence and strength. This disagreement causes an imbalance in the judgments which evaluate the potential benefits and the potential disadvantages of war. This aspect of disagreement is defined as the private information aspect of war. The second conditions which cause two nations to war with one another and accept the potential advantages in addition to the potential disadvantages of war are based on the commitment challenge. If the dissemination of power which is present between two nations has the possibility of shifting, the shift in power between the two nations may cause a peaceful negotiation of the two factions with regards to accepting the potential disadvantages to war for each side Coyne & Mathers, 2011,; Tzu, 2009).

If the weaker opponent is experiencing an increase in influence and strength, this increase may cause the opposing side to be willing to negotiate against war. The weaker opponent may not choose to go to war, due to the aspect that a future position may have a greater promise of increased influence and strength. The nation which is losing influence and strength may wish to negotiate a peaceful agreement which keeps everything in the perspective of the moment. The nation which is losing influence and strength may doubt if the peaceful agreement can be maintained Coyne & Mathers, 2011).

It is comprehensible that the opposing state which is gaining influence and strength may behave motivations to renegotiate a novel collection of demands when the influence and strength have favorably shifted in their favor. This aspect may cause the weaker opposing nation to resort to war if the concessions which had been peacefully agreed upon are not maintained. The nation which is gaining power and influence may have a preference for peaceful negotiations and it may be willing to honor the outcomes of present negotiations. The two factions may dispute the viability of this promise once the situation changes and one off the opposing nations has the forceful strength to negotiate issues which had not been previously negotiated. Peacefully and apply military force in order to procure those benefits. This aspect is acknowledged as the commitment challenge of war ( Coyne & Mathers, 2011; Lomberg, 2013; Tzu, 2013).

The third reason for war is often indivisible challenges. The indivisible challenges may incorporate religious, philosophical issues and territorial challenges. Quite often resources can be divided, however religious distinctions and territorial disputes cannot be divided among actors. War and the human and economic costs which area associated may be avoided if the challenging subject of dispute can be associated to another challenge which can be more easily resolved or if one of the factions makes some sort of concession to the other. Usually the origin of an indivisible challenge is a pressure political group within one of the nations which possesses considerable influence (Coyne & Mathers, 2011; Lomberg, 2013; Tzu 2009).

This implies that one or both of the opposing nations may have a variety of actors. The significance of indivisibility challenges is slight when compared to the aspects of information and commitment challenges. This leaves the information and the commitment challenges as the two logical reasons that opposing nations go to war with one another (Coyne & Mathers, 2011). The benefits of war were reviewed by Sun Tzu who had been a Chinese tactician and high ranking military official. Sun Tzu originally wrote the Art of War in the sixth century before the Common Era (Tzu, 2009). The Art of War which was composed by Sun Tzu is composed of thirteen chapters. Every chapter in the book is dedicated to a specific aspect of waging war. The Art of War is one of the most significant military strategy treatises that have ever been written. The themes which have been covered in the book which is titled the Art of War have been extended to spheres of influences which exceed military tactics (i.e., commerce, legal reflection and marketing strategies) (Tzu, 2009).

Sun Tzu thought that war was a required evil which must be evaded at all consequences. The war should be waged rapidly in order to overcome and limit the human and economic hardships. There has been no war which has caused any nation to profit (Lomberg, 2013; Tzu, 2009) A nation which becomes triumphant in war does so due to the aspect of taking decisive action prior to the opponent’s realization of their menacing position. Sun Tzu believed that holocausts and criminal war activities should be avoided due to the characteristic of motivating increased resistance from the opponent and the capacity of holocausts and criminal war activities to enable the tide of war to turn in the opponent’s favor ( Lomberg, 2013; Tzu, 2009).

The victorious faction should be able to capture the government of the opposing nation without completely destroying the government or the infrastructure. The destruction of the opposing nation’s government or infrastructure should be conducted as a final option. Sun Tzu also perceived that the location of the military forces in strategic positions was of great significance. The choice of positioning a military force in opposition to other nation’s military force must be performed objectively upon the need for the avoidance of the potential expense of human and economic loss (Tzu, 2009).

War has its advantages. War has its disadvantages. Wars are usually conducted by two opposing factions. These two opposing factions are usually willing to accept the advantages of war in exchange for the human and economic costs of war. Wars have led to invention. The benefits of the inventions which have been gained by war have been able to benefit many during the times of peace.

Sun Tzu believed that in order to avoid war, one of the nations must be willing to apply the disadvantages of war as a persuasive factor against waging war. Nations can apply techniques of negotiation in order to avoid the information, commitment and indivisible aspects which cause wars. If it were not for war, the United States would have never been conceived. प्रस्तावना– सेवक बनकर वरदायी जो, स्वामी बनकर है अभिशाप।

नर का ही उपयोग ज्ञान को, पुण्य बनाता या फिर पाप।। एक ही वस्तु एक पक्ष से देखने पर वरदान प्रतीत होती है और वही दूसरे पक्ष से देखने पर अभिशाप प्रतीत होती है। औषधि के रूप में जो विष जीवन–रक्षक है, वही विष के रूप में प्राणघातक है।

एक ही लोहे से, बधिक की तलवार और शल्य–चिकित्सक की छुरी बनती है किन्तु इसमें विष या लोहे को दोषी नहीं बताया जा सकता। ज्ञान का उपयोग ही उसके परिणाम को निश्चित करता है। विज्ञान भी विशिष्ट और क्रमबद्ध ज्ञान ही है। हम चाहें तो इसे सत्य, शिव और सुन्दर की अर्चना बना दें और चाहें तो उसे महाविनाश, अमंगल और कुरूपता का उपकरण बना दें।

विज्ञान की प्रगति– यों तो सृष्टि के आदि से मानव ज्ञान–विस्तार में प्रवृत्त है किन्तु उन्नीसवीं और बीसी सदियाँ तो विज्ञान की चरमोन्नति के काल रहे हैं। आज इक्कीसवीं सदी भी विज्ञान के सृष्टि विजयी रथ को और तीव्रता से दौड़ाने में पीछे नहीं है।

जीवन पर विज्ञान के अनन्त उपकार हैं। ऐसा कौन–सा क्षेत्र है जिसे विज्ञान ने अपने उपकारों से कृतज्ञ न बनाया हो ? ऐसा कौन–सा अभागा देश है जो यन्त्रों के घर्घर नाद से न गूंज रहा हो ? सुई से लेकर अन्तरिक्ष यान तक में विज्ञान की महिमा का गान हो रहा है।

विज्ञान का वरदानी स्वरूप–आज विज्ञान मानव–जीवन के लिए हर मनोकामना की पूर्ति करने वाला कल्पवृक्ष बना हुआ है। विज्ञान ने मानव को प्रकृति पर निर्भरता से मुक्त करके उसे अकल्पनीय सुख–सुविधाएँ और सुरक्षा उपलब्ध कराने में महत्वपूर्ण योगदान किया है।

कृषि क्षेत्र–रासायनिक खादों, उन्नत बीजों, कृषि–यन्त्रों, बाँधों, नहरों और कृत्रिम वर्षा की सौगात देकर विज्ञान मानव के कृषि–भण्डार को भर रहा है। वहीं नाना प्रकार की गृह–निर्माण सामग्री और शिल्पीय ज्ञान से मानव के विलास–भवनों की रचना कर रहा है। वही मानव तन को मनमोहक कृत्रिम और पम्परागत वस्त्रों से अलंकृत कर रहा है।
चिकित्सा क्षेत्र–क्षय, कैंसर, कुष्ठ तथा एड्स जैसे घृणित रोगों पर विजय पाने में यह संघर्षरत है। जीन से लेकर क्लोन बनाने तक की मंजिल तय करके वह जीवन के रहस्य को ढूँढ़ रहा है। प्लास्टिक सर्जरी से कुरूपों को सुरूपता दे रहा है। मस्तिष्क, हृदय और गुर्दो को प्रत्यारोपित कर रहा है। अमरता की मंजिल को प्रशस्त कर रहा है।
विद्युत एवं परिवहन क्षेत्र–भीमकाय यन्त्रों को उसी की विद्युत–शक्ति घुमा रही है। वही जल, थल, नभ में नाना प्रकार के वाहनों से दौड़ लगवा रहा है। वही अन्तरिक्ष और ब्रह्माण्ड के कुँआरे पथों को नाप रहा है।
संचार का क्षेत्र–रेडियो, मोबाइल फोन, टेलीफोन, टेलीविजन और इण्टरनेट जैसे उपकरणों से उसने सारे विश्व को सिकोड़कर छोटा कर डाला है। रेडियो–दूरबीनों से यह ब्रह्माण्ड की छानबीन कर रहा है, वसुन्धरा के गर्भ में झाँक रहा है, सागरों के अतल तल को माप रहा है।
मनोरंजन तथा व्यवसाय का क्षेत्र–मनोरंजन के अनेक साधनों के साथ व्यापार के क्षेत्र में भी उसने ई–मेल, ई–बैंकिंग जैसे साधन उपलब्ध कराये हैं।

विज्ञान अभिशाप के रूप में विज्ञान की उपर्युक्त वरदानी छवि के पीछे उसका अभिशापी चेहरा भी छिपा हुआ है। विज्ञान द्वारा आविष्कृत अस्त्र–शस्त्रों ने ही बस्तियों को श्मशान में बदला है।

हिरोशिमा और नागासाकी जैसे नगरों को विश्व के मानचित्र से मिटाने का श्रेय भी विज्ञान को ही जाता है। विज्ञान ने मनुष्य को घोर भौतिकवादी बनाकर उसके श्रेष्ठ जीवन मूल्यों को पददलित कराया है। विज्ञान की कृपा से ही आज का यह जगमगाता प्रगतिशील विश्व बारूद के ढेर पर बैठा हुआ है।

उपसंहार– कवि दिनकर ने विज्ञान की विभूति पर इठलाने वाले आज के मानव को सावधान किया है सावधान मनुष्य यदि विज्ञान है तलवार, तो इसे दे फेंक, तजकर मोह, स्मृति के पार। हो चुका है सिद्ध, है तू शिशु अभी नादान, फूल काँटों की तुझे, कुछ भी नहीं पहचान।

वस्तुतः विज्ञान न वरदान है न अभिशाप। मनुष्य की उपयोग–बुद्धि ही उसके स्वरूप की निर्णायक है। अत: मनुष्य जाति का कल्याण इसी में है कि वह विज्ञान को अपना स्वामी न बनाकर उसे सेवक की भूमिका तक ही सीमित रखे।

Today, we are unable to decode the Pali and unable to understand the full history of our country.

Administration: When Hindi becomes the National Language, it improves the administration, will lead to fast response from the government side and faster implementation of Government schemes, since the majority of the people knows Hindi very well. But these benefits are only confined to people who know Hindi. This will create the discrimination between people who have Hindi knowledge and others in opportunities. It will destroy the basic structure of constitution- "equal opportunity for all".

English Language: When declaring the Hindi as the national language, it will provide the pathways to people to know one more language- Hindi in the Non Hindi speaking States and at the same time it will shut down the pathway to know English – Unofficial world Language in all states of India. National Symbol The purpose of the National Symbol to manifests its culture history and to promote its national Integration. Government of India recognized Tamil, Sanskrit, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Oriya as the classical language, not Hindi. While recognizing the Hindi as our National language, it will not manifest the culture history of India to the world.

Essay on War - A nation or organisation may turn to war to reach its goals, but what is the actual cost of progress? Countless lives have been lost to war and continue to be lost. It costs a lot of money and resources as well. Wars have always been brutal, deadly, and tragic, from the American Revolution to World Wars I and II to the Crusades and the ancient Hundred Years' War. Here are a few sample essays on "war" .

The greatest destroyers of people in modern times are wars. No matter who wins a war, mankind loses in every case. Millions of people have died in battles during the past century, with World Wars I and II being the worst. Wars are typically fought to protect a nation. Whatever the motive, it is hazardous conduct that results in the loss of millions of priceless innocent lives and has dangerous impacts that even future generations will have to deal with.

The results of using nuclear bombs are catastrophic. The weapons business benefits when there is a war elsewhere in the world because it maintains its supply chain. Weapons that cause massive destruction are being made bigger and better. The only way to end wars is to raise awareness among the general public.

Without a doubt, war is terrible, and the most devastating thing that can happen to humans. It causes death and devastation, illness and poverty, humiliation and destruction. Despite this, war has always been fought, weapons are always used, military power has always been deployed, and there have always been armies in war.

If we take a closer look at human history, it will become evident that conflicts have existed ever since the primitive eras. Although efforts have been made to end it, this has not been successful so far. Thus, it appears that we are unable to achieve eternal peace. Many defend wars by claiming that nature's rules require them. Charles Darwin is placed in front of them to illustrate their point. He was the one who created the rule of the fittest. Impacts of War

They fail to consider that if Gandhi could push out the powerful Britishers without resorting to violence, why shouldn't others do the same? Wars are unavoidable calamities, and there are no words to adequately depict the vast quantity and scope of their tragedies. The atrocities of the two world wars must never be forgotten. There was tremendous murder and property devastation during the battles. There were thousands of widows and orphans. War spreads falsehoods and creates hatred. People start acting brutally selfishly. Humanity and morals suffer as a result.

War is an Enemy

War is the enemy of all humanity and human civilisation. Nothing positive can come of it. Consequently, it should never be celebrated in any way. In addition to impeding national progress, it undermines social cohesion. It slows down the rate of human progress. Wars are not the answer to the world's issues. Instead, they cause issues and generate hatred among nations. War can settle one issue but creates far too many other ones. The two most horrific examples of the war's after-effects are Hiroshima and Nagasaki. People are still enduring the effects of war 77 years later. Whatever the reason for war, it always ends in the widespread loss of human life and property.

Disadvantages of War

Massive human deaths and injuries, the depletion of financial resources, environmental degradation, lost productivity, and long-term harm to military personnel are all drawbacks of war. Families are split apart by war. Both towns and cities are destroyed by it. People become more sensitive, and every industry faces collapse. People’s health declines physically and they lose their sense of security. They won't have any security, and those who win the battle will treat the citizens of the defeated nation as their slaves and prohibit them from the right to work. After the war, there will be a lack of jobs and corruption issues for the nation to deal with.

Russia – Ukraine War

The world saw great turmoil beginning in February 2022 with the Russian-Ukraine War. Russia's invasion of Ukraine was the most serious conventional attack on a nation, bringing a severe economic crisis to the world. India has taken a neutral stance for Russia, keeping in mind the two countries' long-standing alliance, especially in its foreign policies and positive international relationships. Russia was concerned about Ukraine's security due to its intention to join NATO and invaded Ukraine in 2014. Additionally, Russia provided help to the rebels in the eastern Ukrainian districts of Donetsk and Luhansk.

The war between Russia and Ukraine has had a substantial impact on oil prices and other commodity prices, as well as increased trade uncertainty. India has economic troubles due to Western countries' supply disruptions and limited trade with Russia.

War has historically been the worst mark on humanity. Although it was made by man, it is now beyond the power of any human force. To preserve humanity, the entire human species must now reflect on this. Otherwise, neither humanity nor war will survive.

1. आमने-सामने की संचार कम होना

सोशल मीडिया होने से लोग आमने-सामने बात करना ही भूल गए हैं. पहले लोग एक साथ बैठकर समय व्यतीत करते थे लेकिन आज के समय सोशल मीडिया होने से लोग इन सभी प्लेटफॉर्म पर समय व्यतीत करते हैं.

अपने परिवार के साथ बाते करना कम होती जा रही है जिससे पहले के मुकाबले आज रिश्तों में दूरियां अधिक पैदा होती जा रही है.

इसलिए जरूरी है आपकों सोशल मीडिया पर कम से कम समय देने की और अपने परिवार के साथ क्वालिटी टाइम बिताने की, जैसे कि साथ में भोजन करना, फिल्में देखकर, एक-दूसरे के साथ किसी भी मुद्दे पर चर्चा करना, आदि.

2. सोशल मीडिया अकाउंट हैक होना

लोग झूठे सोशल मीडिया पोस्ट बनाते हैं एंव अपने फायदे अनुसार न्यूज को मोडिफाइड कर उसे फैला देते है और लोग बिना दिमाग लगाए उस पर विश्वास भी कर लेते हैं.

वैसे ऐसा करना गैर कानूनी है लेकिन फिर भी लोग फर्जी खबरें सोशल मीडिया पर लोगों के साथ शेयर करते हैं. यदि आप सोशल मीडिया इस्तेमाल करते हैं तो किसी पोस्ट या ख़बर पर अमल करने से पहले एक बार जरूर सोचना चाहिए.

4. साइबर-बुलिंग

पिछले कुछ वर्षों में, कई लोग, विशेष रूप से बच्चे, साइबर बुलिंग का शिकार हो गए हैं क्योंकि आजकल सोशल मीडिया प्लेटफॉर्म पर नकली अकाउंट और नकली प्रोफाइल बनाना और दूसरे व्यक्ति को धमकाना बहुत आसान है.

साइरबुलिंग होने से कितने लोग आत्महत्या कर लेते हैं और यह हमारे समाज के लिए बहुत खतरनाक स्थिति है. लोग सोशल मीडिया का उपयोग नकली समाचार और अफवाहें फैलाने लग रहे हैं, जिससे समाज और देश में एक गलत इम्पैक्ट होता है.

इन सभी से बचने के लिए आपकों अपनी व्यक्तिगत डेटा सोशल मीडिया प्लेटफॉर्म पर साझा नहीं करना चाहिए और कभी भी अजनबियों से मित्र अनुरोध स्वीकार नहीं करना चाहिए.

5. सोशल मीडिया का लत होना

आजकल युवाओं के लिए सोशल मीडिया एक लत बन गया है. वे अपना पूरा दिन सोशल मीडिया पर बर्बाद कर देते हैं और उन्हें अहसास भी नहीं होता है कि वह क्या कर रहे हैं.

आज के समय में अगर कोई सबसे खतरनाक लत बनते जा रही है वह है स्मार्टफोन और सोशल मीडिया का लत होना. ऐसा इसलिए क्योंकि लोगों को यह लत होने के बावजूद भी उन्हें कभी अहसास नहीं होता है कि वह सोशल मीडिया का शिकार हो गए हैं.

किसी चीज का इस्तेमाल करना बुरा नहीं है, लेकिन उसकी लत लगना विनाशकारी हो सकता है. यह आपकी जीवन बर्बाद कर सकता है इसलिए समय रहते सम्भाला बहुत जरूरी है.

6. स्वास्थ्य पर बुरा असर पड़ता है

सोशल मीडिया प्लेटफॉर्म के अत्यधिक उपयोग से आपके दिमाग और स्वास्थ्य दोनों पर काफ़ी बुरा असर पड़ता है. साथ ही कई स्वास्थ्य समस्याओं जैसे कि गतिहीन होना, वजन बढ़ना, डिप्रेशन आदि होने लगती है.

इसलिए आपको सोशल मीडिया केवल जरूरत अनुसार या कम से कम इस्तेमाल करना चाहिए.

7. अधिक समय बर्बाद होना

अधिकांश लोग सोशल मीडिया प्लेटफॉर्म का उपयोग आराम करने और समय काटने के लिए करते हैं. इसके सबसे अधिक प्रभावित युवा और छात्र होते हैं.

आपको पता होना चाहिए कि सोशल मीडिया जैसे कि facebook, Twitter, Instagram, आदि बहुत चालाक है. वे अपनी साइट और मोबाइल एप्लिकेशन कुछ ऐसी डिजाइन करती है ताकि यूज़र उनके प्लेटफॉर्म पर अधिक से अधिक समय बिताए.

आपको अपनी क़ीमती समय बर्बाद करने से बचना चाहिए और उसे अपने बेहतर भविष्य और पेशेवर सफलता की दिशा में लगाना चाहिए.

8. सच्चाई से ज्यादा बढ़ा चढ़ा कर दिखाना

सोशल मीडिया पर लोग अपनी सच्चाई से ज्यादा बढ़ा चढ़ा कर दिखाते हैं, जिससे कुछ समय बाद आपको ऐसा लगने लगता है कि आपकी जीवन में कुछ ख़ास है ही नहीं, दूसरों की लाइफ कितनी अच्छी है.

लेकिन सच्चाई यह है कि सभी अपने लाइफ से कहीं न कहीं परेशान है और सोशल मीडिया पर दूसरे की लाइफ देख कर ख़ुद को कोसते रहते हैं.

सोशल मीडिया पर फोटो या वीडियो शेयर करने से पहले लोग उसे एडिट करते हैं, उसे अच्छा दिखाने की कोशिश करते हैं, लेकिन असल जिंदगी में कुछ और ही होते हैं.

9. धोखाधड़ी और रिश्ते खराब के मुद्दे

सोशल मीडिया से आज के समय में धोखाधड़ी की संभावना अधिक होती जा रही है. साथ ही इसे अधिक इस्तेमाल से आपके रिश्ते भी ख़राब होते जा रहे हैं.
