Values such as sharing are modelled in children from an early age. Studies and extracurricular activities are given equal weight to help us grow as people. Our schools will always try to concentrate on our complete development and help us become healthy adults.

All great men have been taught to read and write at their schools. Thanks to our school, we acquire the proper values at a young age. We impart a set of strict moral principles that assist us in the future. Most of your early recollections are likely to be associated with the school. Living together with our peers teaches us to smile, weep, share, and give support to one another. In addition to providing a framework for developing our moral character, schools also operate as a road map for achieving our goals.

The first few school years go by quickly and are the best of our academic lives, but the higher classes show us that life is not always straightforward. Even though the later years of school seem like a hardship, we must remember that school is some of the happiest years of our lives.

Man is not born intellectual; instead, he acquires information by arriving in this world and does so through his education. Any person can advance in the proper direction and succeed in life with the help of school. Every parent encourages their children to attend school from the start because they recognise the value of education and realise that knowledge is the foundation for a better future. Children exhibit a sense of unity and connection at school in addition to their mental growth. All students are encouraged to advance because there is no discrimination at the school, and everyone is treated equally.

My School Environment

My school is located in a peaceful area of the city, distant from the noise and pollution of the city, and green trees and plants surround it. This allows us to study in a calm and unpolluted environment. Our school contains roughly 50 rooms, and there are three to ten sections in each class. There are approximately 3,000 students in my school. Additionally, the school features a playground, garden, and canteen where we hang out with our friends during downtime.

About My School and School Life

I study in the reputed private school in my city, and I am glad to be a student of this school. My school is one of the most renowned schools in my town. It is very beautiful and huge. My school has all the facilities for sports, study and other activities. Built-in a three-storey building, it is a Co-Ed and Senior Secondary School having Science, Arts and Commerce stream. The atmosphere at my school is delightful. We have a huge playing ground where we all students play different games like Badminton, Basketball, Cricket, etc. We have a separate Basketball and Tennis court, as well as a small and beautiful garden for kids.

The students practice these sports every day. The school also has a big swimming pool and sports area for indoor games. In this area, the students can play Table Tennis and Chess. The Art room is a big hall with lots of colourful charts and various types of paints. The students can portray their imagination and can create beautiful art here. Dance and music are also very important in school life as they help the students express themselves in a new manner. The different movements in dance help the students in unwinding themselves.

My school has a big library where we all read different kinds of books, novels and comics. Apart from the library, my school has well-equipped scientific labs where we all practise various experiments of Chemistry, Physics and Biology. I have learned a lot of things in these labs. My school also has a big computer lab with trained technical staff that help us to learn everything about computers. I love playing on the computer and learning new things in the computer lab. In the computer lab, the students learn about using MS Word and PowerPoint. The computer lab is also called the ICT lab. The ICT teacher teaches the students about the internet and how to use it safely.

All the staff at my school are very polite, educated and experienced. Our teachers not only teach us but also prepare us for various competitions, and every year, my school wins many prizes in various competitions. I have even represented my school in a hockey championship and scored the second position.

The classrooms are big and decorated beautifully with different artwork done by the students. Various projects and models are kept in the classroom for the students to keep on revising their concepts. In this annual sports meet, various sports competitions are organised, and almost 50 schools participate in these competitions and win multiple titles. Me, my friends, and our seniors also participate in these competitions and make our school proud by winning in them. My school has great teachers, excellent faculty and all the facilities that one student needs to excel in his/her life.

The biggest reason behind the success and fame of my school is our Principal Sir. He is 50 years old, yet very active and disciplined. He has an attractive personality, and his knowledge is commendable. He loves all the students and always spare some time from his busy schedule to monitor the progress of all the students. I admire his personality and principles. He always encourages us to take part in various extracurricular activities, and it is the result of his support & dedication that the students of my school always perform better in all the competitions. My school has been an amazing place for me to grow and learn many abilities. I started going to this school when I was 3 years old. I have met so many amazing people here. I have learned so much from my brilliant teachers who work so hard to make sure that we understand all the concepts in class. Everyone is extremely nice in my school. The administration staff is always helpful whenever we face any issue and solves all our problems related to admission processes. Even the janitorial staff is super amazing. We always greet them when we come to school every day because that’s what our parents and teachers have taught us. My school is built on a red brick building. It has wonderfully spacious classes which are roomy enough to withhold around 30 children at one time. We have beautiful and clean whiteboards in each class. Right in front of whiteboards, a big brown desk and a nice comfortable chair is placed for our respected teachers. Even though there is a chair for each teacher, our teachers hardly get to sit on it as they like to roam around in class while teaching so that each student can give more attention to the course material she is teaching.

My school has a wide and airy auditorium that we use for assembly. Every day at 8 o clock in the morning, our school assembly starts and we have to gather around. The assembly starts with introduction of the class and then the class whose duty is assigned for assembly that day gets to present a small play or a skit which is very educational. Sometimes our principal also gives a 2-minute lecture on a good topic. We end our assembly by singing National Anthem. Then we are dispersed to our classes, but before that, our Gym teacher checks our nails and gives half-time to people will long nails.

My school also has a very nice cafeteria Every day, at exactly 12:30 our 4 th period of school gets over and then we run towards the canteen to buy yummy snacks. Sometimes the line is so long that we don’t even get the chance to buy snacks and the recess break gets over. In those cases, we have to go back hungry in class and we don’t even get the time to play some games in break.

I spend 8 hours of my day in school and enjoy it very much. I love my school and feel so obliged that God gave me the chance to go to a wonderful school and also to get education that will help me grow into a successful person in life. My school teachers and staff go out of their way to help us learn and enjoy school more. One day, I will return the favor to my school and achieve something so great that my school will be proud of me.

School is the most important place for us. It helps us build a network of friends, teach us about the development of the world and prepare us for our practical life ahead. My school routine typically starts at 5:30 in the morning. I wake up and go for a jog in the park for half an hour. Then I come back home, brush my teeth and take a nice shower. My father is a very disciplined man and he doesn’t like it when we are late for anything so I always try to be done with my breakfast within 15 minutes. Then I wait for my school bus which comes at 7 am. My school bus driver is a very nice man and he makes sure that we always reach our school on time. At exact 7:50 am I reach my school and place my bag in my class and then go out in the ground for assembly.

Our assembly lasts for 20 minutes in which we hear beautiful renditions of poems by classical authors, informative debates on science and education and then end it by reciting national anthem of the United States of America. However, very recently our gym teacher has started this initiative that we do 5-minute stretches before we leave the ground. This makes us feel very fresh so that when we go in our class, our tiredness is gone away and we can enjoy the class more.

After stretching for 5 minutes we leave for our classes in lines. When we reach our class, my class teacher Mrs. Brown takes our attendance. We have to sit very obediently and silently even if we are very excited for the day. Our first period is of Science which is taught by Mrs. Brown. In our Science class, we learn so much about the world and how it came into existence. We learn about technological advances in medicine, health, environment and natural hazards.

Our next period is of Mathematics. In this class, we learn about geometry and trigonometry, algebra and data management. My favorite mathematical concept is algebra as we learn about equalities, expressions and mathematical equations in it.

The next two periods are of French and English. We learn about poetry and literature in French and English. Our English Teacher Mr. Hans is a very intelligent man and he goes out of his way to make sure that we are enjoying his class and understanding all the concepts. He teaches us about Shakespeare, Jane Austen, George Eliot and Charles Dickens.

At 12:30pm, we have our regular recess break in which we have our lunch and then play games such as hide and seek, catch the thief, merry go round etc. After the recess we have our Computer, Social Studies and Art Class. I particular enjoy Computer class the most as we get to learn new technological advances. Currently we are learning Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel on Computer and I am enjoying every bit of it.

We end our school day at 2pm. By that time, we are very tired and eager to go home and get some rest, but even then, we are very excited to be back at school the next day. We love our school very much.

I studied in a school which was near to my home. It was a small school in a small town, not like today’s convent like school. It has only a two-storied building. The infantry and junior sections were on the ground floor while the senior parts were on the first floor of the building. It was those days when I joined the school in lower Kindergarten. My heart was in deep sorrow that I have to be away from my mother for like 4-5 hours. I was weeping and in agony that Dai Maa arrived at me and asked if I need some help from her and then brought me a glass of water and I clean tone asked me to drink. I drank the complete water in one ship out of shivering and afraid of being scolded again. Then she took me to my class and ordered me to be there till the last bell rings. Being afraid of scolding again, I sat quietly and waited for the last bell to ring. After the bell, I hurried as if a prisoner is freed from prison and asked to leave otherwise will be prisoned again. I ran to the Dai Maa and took me back Home. It continues for some days, and I met my first School friend. I, along with him, started the journey of an education getter and stared to exploring what a beautiful place my school was. Surrounded by a garden from all the sides with notice board, “Plucking off a flower is strictly prohibited.” Our Headmaster, a master in biology and zoology, himself took care of the garden, and anyone who disobeys was taken to task.

Not only a fascinating garden, but my school also had an excellent science laboratory where we use to analyze various chemical compounds and sometimes make a blunder, which could break all the furnishes( flask) available with a boom. The teachers of my school were all good and fit for the profession they chose. It is their role in my life that today when I looked back, my eyes fill with tears in their remembrance.

With the teachers who compel me to learn the tasks daily and impel to my success at considerable length. They propel me ahead of anyone else in the journey called life. It is not only the one reason I love my school but also as they noted guardian they overlook and not ignored my wicked deed on the campus of the school’s premises. Was that of my first crush whom I meet in class 8th. Understanding the seriousness of the age group and the attraction towards the opposite sex, my teacher called me and, with much sympathy, promised me that he will help me when the time comes.

Today we both are settled with our partners with the same essence of friendship understand that it was just an attraction and nothing more than that. As this can happen at the age, we were in, but as the time came, both of us understood the reality.

So, without thinking twice I and my friend jumped the school wall but till the time we could make it past the wall he was already running with our soccer ball.

We started running behind him and my friend bumped into a bike and was hurt badly. I probably had to let go off my soccer ball and see how she was hurt. She got three stitches from that injury. We were scolded by teachers and principal for this, as a punishment our parents were called to school the next day to discuss the seriousness of the trouble.

I would wake up at quarter to six in the morning, get fresh, wear school uniform, arrange my school bag according to the time table for the day and have a quick breakfast by 6:40 am as at sharp quarter to seven my school van would be right in front of my house honking. Then, further half an hour until we reached school was a time for chit-chat and discussion about the homework assigned to us the earlier day.

The Daily Activities at School

We would reach the school at around 7:30 am, approximately fifteen minutes prior to the school bell. We had to be in our respective classes before the bell rang. Then it was time for national song and school prayer that went on until eight which was a time for regular school periods to begin. This continued for four periods continuously until the recess bell rang at 10:30 am. Recess felt more of a games period then a lunch break. Everyone would be seen doing different activities during this time. The kind of activities one indulged in depended on the class he was in.

When we were in the primary classes we played different games in the school garden. Basketball, football, running and hide and seek were some of our favourite games. As we reached the secondary classes, we began to sit in the canteen to chit chat about the various things and enjoy delicious food. After the recess, we had to attend four more periods. Not every period was that boring though, art and craft, PT, value education and mathematics periods were interesting for me.

Apart from this formal schedule at school, those gossips with friends, hanging around at canteen, going to washroom to partially bunk the lecture, that fear of punishment when we’d forgotten to complete the homework, that note which the teacher wrote in the handbook when we’d done some mischief in the class, the ride in nervousness from home to school on the result day, from immature fights to the innocent laughs – everything from the school feels so dear now, maybe because the things were simple back then.

Not only did we bunk the lecture, but also we jumped through our school walls to get out of the school premises and watch a newly released movie. We had a class of 70 students, out of which, around 55 students were present that day.

Now coincidentally, 10 more students from my class also bunked the lecture which made the decreased class strength visible. Moreover, the bags of all of the 13 students, including us, were still there in the class, as we were not allowed to leave the class with bags during school hours. So, our teacher did the checking and found out about the students who bunked and so eventually we were suspended from our laboratory sessions for a week.

However, we didn’t stop bunking lectures post this. We became really smart in finding ways to bunk. We tried to strike a balance between being a good student and enjoying high school. During all those bunks, I realized how important it is to have friends to make your life worth living.

The Ups and Downs in My High School

Then, there came our first high school exam and I managed to be on the list of top 10 students of my class. I had always been a good student academically. So this time, even after all the shenanigans that I indulged in, I managed to score good marks. But this was the last time that I got good marks. My grades started degrading after that and this led to a lot of stress and anxiety. I lost interest in studies and indulged in gaming, watching movies or reading novels.

Thankfully, I didn’t do anything bad, but this normal stuff made the situation worse as I could not concentrate on my studies. So, I went through counselling which I never thought I’ll ever require. It was a difficult period for me but eventually I was able to get decent score in my finals. My parents stood as my pillar of strength during this time. They encouraged me to study and motivated me to lead the right path. I cannot thank them enough for their guidance and support.

All of such experiences from my high school gave me lessons to remember for a lifetime. They made me realize how everything wrong could turn right if only you believe so and have support from your loved ones.
