Movie review.

According to Bob Cabana, the early 1960s were defined by milk and cereal. And mega cereal companies Kellogg’s and Post were in constant competition for America’s breakfast bowls.

But both companies went to war in 1963 when Post finally cracked the code on a shelf-stable, heatable fruit pastry breakfast product. They called it the “Country Square,” and they’d developed it by stealing research from Bob’s own team at Kellogg’s.

Bob had given up on the product because he just could not find a way to make fruit shelf-stable. But he’s forced to pick the project up again when Edsel Kellogg III tasks him with finding a way to beat Post to grocery store shelves with Kellogg’s own breakfast pastry.

So Bob hires a team experts: NASA scientist (and former Kellogg’s employee) Donna “Stan” Stankowski; soft-serve ice cream genius Tom Carvel; children’s bicycle maker Steve Schwinn; inventor of the Sea-Monkey Harold von Braunhut; canned meatball whiz kid Chef Boyardee; tightly-tailored physical fitness icon Jack Lalanne; and from IBM, the smartest machine ever made, UNIVAC the computer.

It’s not exactly the team Bob wanted, but it’s the one he could get. And he’ll try just about anything to create a toaster-friendly, fruit pastry that kids will love.

Becoming a Screen-Savvy Family book ad

Positive Elements

Bob tells this story of his time at Kellogg’s to a runaway kid at the beginning of the film in order to give the boy’s parents more time to find him (which they do at the end of the film).

Unfrosted satirizes many ideas, ideals and blind spots from yesteryear. For instance, the movie skewers corporate cluelessness about how unhealthy it is to pack kids’ cereal with sugar.

Spiritual Elements

The president of Quaker (another major cereal company) dresses up like an actual Quaker. He says things like, “Praise be!” and “Peace be upon you!” He’s criticized heavily for mixing cereal with religion. And a woman is appalled when he presides over her husband’s funeral with a cereal-based eulogy.

Two men inadvertently create a live ravioli after filling the pasta with Sea Monkeys. The creature grows, even developing a face.

We hear disparaging remarks about religion throughout the film. There’s a joke about a priest, as well as another joke about pentagrams and the devil. Bob says that Pop-Tarts are the “two greatest rectangles since the Ten Commandments.”

Sexual Content

A man and woman debate which of them will have sex with another guy extorting their company for sugar. It’s implied that a man is about to cheat on his wife with two women, and we later hear both women are now pregnant. A man attempts to seduce a woman by dancing (since he heard the hip-motion demonstrates financial stability). Two characters nearly kiss.

A man wearing a tight-fitting jumpsuit is asked to find some less-revealing garments, since he’s promoting a children’s breakfast food. (He fails to fix this problem by wearing inflatable pants that pop in the rear when he squats.) An ad executive’s promotional campaigns are rejected for being too sexual, because his ideas all feature scantily-clad women.

We see a man showering from the shoulders up. Later, his bathrobe is blown off by a helicopter, but we still only see him from the shoulders up.

There are many sexual jokes and references. Many of those gags have to do with sexually charged names of children’s cereals. Several focus on rumored affairs of famous celebrities and politicians of the time. We hear some thinly veiled descriptions of male anatomy. Someone implies that many astronauts get divorced upon returning to Earth.

An extended slow-motion scene shows people eating cereal while a romantic song plays in the background. Milk is similarly treated in this pseudo-sexual manner, with a history video explaining how cows are milked.

A man uses the “RumpMaster,” a mechanical device that massages his rear end. There are a few jokes and statements that focus on rear ends, too. Someone is asked if she was nursed or bottle-fed. A woman checks a man out as he leaves a room after flirting with him. A young boy makes a crude reference to women’s undergarments. The two men who created the living ravioli raise their hybrid creature together, though there’s no indication if they are in a relationship or not.

Violent Content

Kellogg’s mascot actors stage a protest when they realize the company is phasing them out. However, this protest turns into a violent riot after an impassioned speech by the actor who plays Tony the Tiger. They storm the building, knocking down the (minimal) barricades and shoving Kellogg’s two security guards out of the way.

Smoke grenades are set off, folks scale the building (one man falls offscreen, presumably hurting himself) and rioters cause some minor destruction inside. However, they all simply walk away after realizing that they failed in their goal to stop the Pop-Tart from getting its FDA approval, effectively putting them all out of business.

(It should be noted that these events are a direct sendup of the January 6 attack on the Capitol. One character dresses up as one of the real attackers in a shirtless suspender outfit, complete with Viking horns. And rioters chant “Hunt Puntz”—the name of the FDA representative—in reference to Vice President Mike Pence.)

A man is vaporized from an explosion after his oxygen tank accidentally ignites a toaster. Another man is electrocuted by a toaster when he tries to use metal tongs to remove a pastry from it. A toaster catches on fire because the pastry inside allegedly contains a small amount of petroleum.

Marjorie Post, the head of Post cereal company, is violent toward her assistant. She shoves him around, shoots a rubber band in his eye, forces him to poison test food (which he gets a bloody nose from) and even beats him over the head with a heavy typewriter after he suggests creating a healthy breakfast food.

A man reads an article about Vietnam, stating, “Seems like a good idea!” Later, we learn UNIVAC was sent to Vietnam during the war, where its ideas became more “unsound.” (In previous scenes, its outputs were violent in nature. And shortly after predicting the death date of an elderly man, the man keels over.) Other plot points poke fun at the Cuban Missile Crisis, suggesting that it wasn’t about nuclear warheads but about a sugar shortage.

Many verbal threats are issued. Some jokes center around violent acts that occurred around the time of World War II. There’s a joke about President Kennedy’s assassination. We see real footage of a NASA rocket exploding shortly after takeoff. There are other references to NASA astronauts who were killed.

A man picks up a child and shakes him, screaming at the kid and threatening to kill his family; the kid cries, asking why the man was yelling at him like his father. Other adults force him to unhand the child.

An instructional video shows an astronaut beating an alien with a bat-like weapon. When a ventriloquist fails to make a sugar executive laugh, he’s escorted offscreen by guards, where we hear a gunshot. However, we later learn they shot his puppet, not him.

A child nearly chokes when his candy necklace gets caught in a rotating apparatus, but he’s OK since the necklace breaks. A man shoots Bob in the chest, but Bob’s unharmed since he had a titanium Pop-Tart sleeve in his pocket. Two delivery trucks attempt to run each other off the road in a race. We hear some people were bitten by children who wanted Pop-Tarts.

Crude or Profane Language

A man apologizes for his language after pairing God’s name with “d–n.” However, this term is repeated four more times after that, along with three other abuses of the Lord’s name. “D–n” makes another six appearances, along with 10 uses of “h—,” one of which is uttered by a child. And adults are appalled when they hear that a child used pieces of cereal to spell the word “a–.”

The term “dingus” is used repeatedly to describe the breakfast pastries that Kellogg’s and Post are developing before they’re given proper names. And a man is told he can’t say the word “hobo” because “bum” is the preferred term.

Drug and Alcohol Content

People drink alcohol at parties. A guy chugs beer when prompted by his colleagues. Several people smoke cigars (and one woman coughs heavily after trying one). Mannequins (including a dog) are portrayed smoking cigarettes. Someone says that all astronauts are chain-smokers. Another person says when astronauts return from space, they become alcoholics. Post makes a liquor-based cereal called Count Vodkula. A man complains that he should be allowed to drink as much as he wants since he pays his bills.

A child enters a diner and asks for a box of Pop-Tarts, telling the server to “leave the box” as he’s had a tough day.

Other Negative Elements

As I mentioned earlier, Unfrosted’s satirical nature allows it to be very tongue-in-cheek. It pokes fun at how inexpensive things like college used to be, how sod was the ultimate status symbol and even how children used to swallow the prizes offered in cereal boxes, mistaking them for food. And while these things are played for humor, a few of them can be a bit mean-spirited.

Bob must “walk the aisle,” a punishment wherein he’s forced to walk down an aisle of milk cows standing in feces, all facing their rears to him as they pass gas. Later, he washes himself but laments that he can’t wash the imagery from his mind.

Kellogg’s attempts to slow production of the new breakfast pastry at Post by buying up all the sugar. Post tries to find a sugar alternative (Carcin-O-Sweet, which has “health problems off the charts”) before deciding to buy illegal sugar from Cuba via the Russians. We hear many jokes about Communism, too.

There are a few jokes about defecation and flatulence, and we hear a man defecated at Kellogg’s during a riot. A child carries a Whoopee cushion, presumably with the intent to use it. Several people gag at the smell coming from a rotten fruit dessert. A man falls unconscious after sniffing spoiled milk (and he’s later told the smell would have been fatal if it had sat there longer).

Two children repeatedly eat food out of a garbage can—the failed pastry experiments of Kellogg’s and Post. They convince Bob to try some of this trashed food as well. Later, we hear that Post sprayed coyote urine on their trash to stop the kids from eating it.

Kellogg’s buys the votes for an award show every year. Kellogg’s and Post each secretly spy on one another, and Post steals research from Kellogg’s. There’s a joke about mental illness. A man says he loves the anguish of other people. Some ad executives are really mean to Bob and his colleagues. A sugar executive allegedly gives a man diabetes after the guy fails to make his first payment for sugar on time.

Finally, we hear a few politically charged jokes. Kellogg’s ignores the requests of its mascots for better pay and better working conditions.

Jerry Seinfeld is better known for his stand-up comedy and TV performances than he is for films. In fact, he told GQ that he thinks the movie business is over, but he decided to make this film essentially because his friends talked him into it … and he really loves breakfast cereal.

The film is very loosely based on the battle between Kellogg’s and Post in the 1960s to create the first shelf-stable, fruit-filled breakfast pastry. But that seems to be where the similarities end.

Comparatively, Unfrosted isn’t particularly sexual or violent. And it’s void of really harsh profanity. Still, despite being a movie about a children’s breakfast food, it’s not intended for kids.

“G-dd–n” seems to be a favorite profanity of the film’s writers (which includes Seinfeld). Lewd comments make their way into dialogue frequently, too. A man’s far-too-fitted clothing becomes a source of discussion. And then there’s a whole scene devoted to spoofing the January 6 attack on the Capitol.

Unfrosted is satirical. It’s meant to make you laugh at the silliness of past ideals and perhaps chuckle at the ridiculousness of more recent events. But it’s not family-friendly. And while parents may find this a toasty treat from Seinfeld, younger children are more liable to get burned.

And fans are delighted with the production.

One fan wrote, "I just watched and i'm watching it again! Loved it hehehe"

Another fan put, "Funny and innovative! Loved the singing and dancing, but the script was strong enough on its own. Great story."

And a a third fan added, "So so great! Make it a Broadway show!"

Does Ryan Reynolds sing in Spirited?

Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell both revealed they had to brush up on their signing and dancing for the film Spirited . Ryan posted a rehearsal video to his followers on Instagram so they could see all the hard work going in to the production.

“The most challenging part of singing and dancing is you work on them separately and you kind of forget that you have to do them simultaneously,” Ferrell told The Hollywood Reporter at Spirited‘s world premiere in New York earlier this month, “and that’s where it’s a ‘holy crap’ moment of, ‘Oh boy, now I have to put it all together,’ which performers seamlessly do, but that was hard for me.”

For Ryan, who is set to become a father for the fourth time , said the most difficult thing was “that moment when you accept that you’re actually going to do it.” he said as he acknowledged that he's not a “natural singer or dancer,” Ryan told The Hollywood Reporter that he “got as close to a black belt in adequate as I could to get through it.”

Part of what helped him, he said, was an understanding that “it’s OK to suck at something at first in order to be good at it, and if you’re willing to do that, you can do some pretty incredible things.”

Off screen, Ryan recently met up with King Charles and Camilla Queen Consort in Wales.

And when it came time to performing in the film, Ryan said he “had probably the most fun I think I’ve ever had actually shooting a movie, the actual physical production.

“I love every one of those dancers that we got to work with,” he added. “Every one of them was our teacher. They never left set, and they really gave us the ability to do the best we could possibly do.”

Ryan recently won the Icon Award at the People's Choice Awards.

Let's put this all in perspective: the Escalade ESV has 345hp, 380 lb.-ft of torque with V8, 14 mpg average, a curb weight of 5,911lbs, 10 inches of ground clearance, 79.5 inches wide, 75 inches tall, 221.4 inches long and a wheelbase of 130 inches. A comfy, quiet auto that is just big but makes driving very comfortable. 0 to 60 mph of 6.2 seconds.

I replaced it with a Trailblazer SS, Corvette-inspired powertrain that makes 390hp, 400 lb.-ft of torque with V8, 12 mpg average, curb weight of 4,496lbs, 7.8-inch ground clearance, 74.7 inches wide, 67.8 inches tall, 191.8 inches long and a wheelbase of 113 inches. An auto designed for performance with a Borla exhaust that lets folks know you are here. 0 to 60 of 5.9 seconds.

20240426_141116.jpg

What does that give me? A more comfortable ride with a roomy interior with space for 6 adults compared to a tight fit of 5 adults. The relaxation package, which I did not realize it had till I was being taken over the auto after the deal closed, is nice as it goes from just having the heat and cooling of the front seats to the middle row of seats having heat and cooling plus all 4 captain chairs have the lazy-boy approach of cafe support that comes up, chair will straighten out and give you a very comfy sleep capable setup.

I am looking at what Kia recommends the ChargePoint+ 80amp hardwired Level 2 charger for my garage. This gives a 10% to 80% charge in 3hrs and 45 min. I will be trying at the end of the week the 110 Volt charger that came with the EV9.

So did my first high speed charging at the Electrify America charging station near my house. Was very easy to use with the account on my phone. Pretty much, I backed into the open spot, plugged in the charging cable and then tapped my phone to the NFS point and it did the handshake and started charging.

Since this station is near a Target, I went and did our grocery shopping while it charged, got back with a few minutes left on charging and then disconnected and drove away. Easy Peasy.

I promise to point out the bad as well.

I actually have hit one thing that is bizarre, their printed owner's manual if very much behind their software update interface, as such there are features that has no instructions on using. I get that the printing happens early, but even Kia Connect, their online presence does not cover some of the stuff that has been updated with the latest OTA update we got this week.

Another weird issue is that when you setup the Kia Connect software on your smartphone and invite the wife in this case, it links your two accounts and as such the setting 1 and setting 2 for seat positions, mirrors, environment settings, etc. get merged and you have to unlink your accounts to then have individual settings. Again, nowhere documented.

Kia Connect online community is a good thing as plenty of folks have posted in it to help each other out on how to do things since the existing documentation from the company is not there. I can see where this would be frustrating for a non-tech person to use the advanced features successfully.

The EV otherwise drives like any other auto and the wife already did her first trip to the south end to deal with her side of the family and was very happy at the efficiency of the EV in power used.

OTA process is very slick and smooth. You can do it at the time it prompts you, do it when you go to turn off the auto, it will process in the background after you shut off the EV or schedule a time to have the OTA applied.

Have to say the Dealership experience has surpassed anything I have experienced in the shopping process at any other auto company.

I have a Leasing/Buying an EV in 2024 story coming documenting the experience of getting this EV.

My EV9 came with a 110/240 plug in charger with 9ft cord. Wife was going to see a family member, so since we only have 110 in the garage right now, and you get 1000 kW hours of free charging with Electrify America, I ran over to do a fast charge.

That’s not what I was asking. I think there’s a way to set up your EA profile, either through the car or on your app, that all you do is plug it in and go. You don’t even need to tap.

Oh, very interesting, will have to look into that. I have been so busy with work, I got my wife setup and have not had much time to learn since she drives it 99% of the time.

Love that the greeters greet and so does pretty much everyone when you walk in. Love the seating. Pews make it so hard to maneuver in and out of but these seats make it easy. The lights and songs are great modern hymns and actually line up with the Bible as lifting praise with music and instruments. The pastor dresses the furthest thing from a hoodlum or gang member and reaches the young audience while also teaching the old. Lighting is as bright as heaven!

Photo of Holly S.

What a welcoming place! I walked in to smiling faces and a lady named Ana asked me if I was new and talked with me till I found my friend. The messege was great, and the music was beautiful. I am at a point in my spiritual journey where I don't just wanna sit in the audience but actually serve and get plugged in. This is the kind of church that makes that happen. They don't push you, but they do offer great ways to get involved. They even have tests available to help you find your gifts and how to use them. I've found really growing for me has come through hands on service and ministry. It gives me such a peace and purpose that can't be described. Even if it's something as simple as working in the coffee shop/greeter area of service and helping people feel welcome with a smile to helping people rebuild homes damaged by natural disasters in the past. I can see this church has that same kind of servants heart that I admire, and I can see why my friend from a different church has come this way.

If you are looking for a culturally exciting, welcoming and warm motivational church, this certainly is a church for you. You will find an excited welcome team to greet you, helpful staff, and an awesome modern hip environment. The "Worship" experience is an awesome display of pyrotechnics, massive screens, dimmed lighting to set the mood, well orchestrated emotional timing, thumping bass', and feel good music. The "Pastors" are awesome communicators, culturally hip, funny, enthusiastic and motivational. The service is quite convenient with schedule and timing and the kids rock ministry is an added bonus. Lastly, they offer plenty of life groups that include bbq, business women, basketball and so much more. If you are looking to be motivated, this certainly is the place for you and your family. ------------------------------ If you are looking for a Church that exposits scripture with sound doctrine, theological hermeneutics that is meant to equip the flock and go out as the great commission commands.... you will be left empty. What you will find is a seeker sensitive corporate church where the ultimate goal is to fill seats, motivate their attendees with eisegetical proof-text, feel-good, live-your-best-life now speaking engagements. This church leans towards new age, progressive Christianity. The Pastor who is certainly gifted both with communication, whit, and a sense of humor is largely lacking on his ability to equip the saints to glorify GOD in obedience. The messages completely lack repentance, sin, wrath, and primarily focus on blessings, joy, purpose and prosperity. You will find yourself sitting in on a motivational talk filled with application about YOU. SELF. ME. US. - not HIM. Overtime you will discern that the Sundays are a beautiful concoction of proof-text, surface level, self-serving messages. The "Worship" you will find is filled with queues and timed chords, lighting, and stage affects to get an unnatural emotional response that rivals a rock concert. The band plays musical lyrics with unsound doctrine that more represents a positive concert and focuses on self, rather than doctrinally sound worship of the The Almighty. You may also get distracted with the lasers, light show, smoke, and 3 giant screens. The corporate growth is at an all time high NORTHROCK NORTHROCK NORTHROCK..... not CHRIST CHRIST CHRIST as they talk regularly promote their NR brand, tithing, budget, etc. while offering a chance to grow in your faith by getting involved and asking you to serve Northrock. On the surface it's an amazing journey, which can actively introduce fellowship opportunities, but you fill find with time the only focus is on serving the Northrock Church, rather than our Heavenly Father. You will also find that life groups do not have true exegetical Bible studies. They are filled with self help books (Paula White, Rick Warren, Beth Moore, etc) This church is modeled after The Purpose Driven Church very similar to Church Unlimited just up the road. Please I encourage anyone who has read this, to remain diligent in prayer, study of the scriptures, fellowship with true Christians, disciple others, and be discipled. Glorify and serve God, stand firm in your convictions, go out and share the Gospel. Find a church that exposits scripture, loves the Lord our God, preaches Christ crucified, truly worships HIM alone, is theologically sound, and equips the flock. God bless!

No one wears masks here and there's barely any social distancing. Post COVID it was great but now it's not so great that they're not taking any precautions

One of the worst churches possible if you are not into the crass, loud, impersonal, loveless, noisy, "modern" churches. Music was not peaceful, graceful or gentle like the Bible calls for singing such as hymns or Psalms, that at least have deep Biblical meaning. First of all only the greeters will greet you because nobody else has the basic Christian manners, decency or love to welcome you, acknowledge you or greet you. Not even a wave hello or a smile. Nobody cares that you are there. And the greeters are only greeting you because that is their role (job/responsibility). In other words, a loveless place. So much for the love of Christ. This place is more of a loud, noisy, dark, rock concert than a church. It is the epitome of the crass, empty, crass, creepy"modern" church American churches have become. The service is dark as hell, literally. I thought heaven was supposed to have lots of lights. What ever happened to normal church lighting? The seating is rock concert seating, rather than pews, which is tough to maneuver through and makes you feel like you are going to watch a movie. Then they have these really bright lights that flash on the stage like a rock concert. I called the church to ask about a Bible study and nobody had the decency to even return my call. Peculiar, too, that the pastor dresses like a hoodlum or gang member. So much for pastors lifting up the culture instead of conforming to a decaying culture. Found out later that people have to register for a Bible study (talk about making it hard to attend a Bible study) and found out I had to register online, get a code and put in the code,etc.--a really tedious, cumbersome adventure. Just an awful experience.

Spirited worship, relevant messages, and many opportunities to serve are what made me make Northrock my home church. It's an excellent place to call home.

Greeted upon entrance with smiles and handshakes, clean bathrooms, excellent worship, relatable message. This is a life giving church!

Northrock feels like home & the leadership is top notch. Life changing messages, great Worship & a plugged in youth program. Northrock has something for everyone & has a seat for you.

I felt I was a religious person before coming to this church being raised Catholic my entire life and attending private Catholic schools. But this church has bumped up my faith to a whole other level. I stumbled upon NorthRock when my boyfriend who is Methodist and I were looking for a non denominational church to worship at on Sundays. I am so thankful and blessed that we found this church. It has had an impact on my adult life and has honestly brought so much positivity and joy to my life. I have always felt welcomed, they are not judge mental and accept you with open arms. Pastor Jonathan is an amazing speaker and I honestly look forward to his series and sermons every Sunday. I have nothing but positive things to say about this church, if you are thinking about trying a new church I hope you will consider visiting this fantastic church, you will not regret it!

Movie Review – Spirit Halloween: The Movie (2022)

September 30, 2022 by Robert Kojder

Spirit Halloween: The Movie , 2022.

Directed by David Poag. Starring Christopher Lloyd, Rachael Leigh Cook, Donovan Colan, Dylan Martin Frankel, Jaiden J. Smith, Marissa Reyes, Billie Roy, Brad Carter, and Marla Gibbs.

When a Halloween store opens in a deserted strip-mall, three friends, thinking they’ve outgrown trick or treating, decide to spend the night locked inside. But their night of spook-filled fun soon turns to outlandish survival.

Technically, every movie exists to hopefully turn some kind of profit, no matter how shameless the endeavor. I’m also aboard the idea that adaptations can come from anywhere, including unsuspecting places such as boardgames and Twitter, but a Halloween store? So when I say that Spirit Halloween: The Movie has zero reasons to exist, I mean it.

Following a group of three boys on the cusp of high school, Spirit Halloween: The Movie can’t even tap into something resembling the behavior of modern teenagers. That’s not just because of the decidedly family-friendly approach; this movie lives in a vacuum of scares that would struggle to frighten kindergartners, let alone the kids here.

A heaping of forced family drama and friendships drifting apart puts the plot in motion. Jake (Donovan Colan) wants to go trick-or-treating, but the slightly edgier (a term used in the loosest sense) Carson (Dylan Martin Frankel) asserts that they have outgrown that tradition, encouraging them to go to a party instead. Bo (Jaiden J. Smith) is the most levelheaded of the three but afraid to side against Carson.

Halloween is a deeply personal holiday to Jake, especially having recently lost his father to cancer. One can gather that they enjoyed many spooky nights together, naturally making it hard for Jake to let go of trick-or-treating. He’s also outraged that his little sister Joanie (Billie Roy) is decorating the front yard with princess decorations rather than anything scary. This also means that when his mom (Rachel Leigh Cook) suggests taking his sister trick-or-treating, he shuts the idea down over developing that kind of bond, which would be a useful tool for overcoming grief to continue partaking in the fun of trick-or-treating.

You’re probably wondering what the hell a Spirit Halloween store has to do with any of this. Well, Jake convinces Carson that instead of going to a party, they break into the abandoned Spirit Halloween store and stay there all night. And so they do, unaware that due to a truly pointless framing device involving a curse placed on Christopher Lloyd’s Alex Windsor, a cheaply rendered blue spirit ball roams around, possessing various costumes and displays, haunting the boys searching for a vessel to possess for all eternity.

I can’t remember the last time I was inside a Spirit Halloween store, but it’s safe to assume that most of what’s here is recognizable to frequent shoppers. However, I can say that none of this is remotely scary, even for the children characters tasked with pretending any of it is.

At one point, the film also gets tired of its setting and goes underground (you can’t blame the filmmakers for doing so). Eventually, Carson’s sister Kate (Marissa Reyes) tracks the boys down and winds up trying to survive the night, whom Jake also has a crush on. Even when the movie tries to be funny, it’s embarrassing, relying on a fart joke at one point.

There is a kernel of a decent idea in Spirit Halloween: The Movie with a grieving child struggling to grow up and find a positive, pay-it-forward way to go out trick-or-treating every year, but you already know before you clicked on this review that director David Poag and Billie Bates have no interest in exploring these characters. It’s a glorified advertisement for Spirit Halloween and doesn’t deserve to be called a movie. The only place this movie should be sold is inside a Spirit Halloween, but purchasing it costs your soul.
