Greetings to everyone gathered here on the occasion of Children’s Day respected teachers, and my dear friends.

Children’s Day in India is celebrated every year on 14th November. This day is also called Bal Divas, “Bal” in Hindi means a “child”, and divas mean “day.” This day is also celebrated in honor of the birth anniversary of our first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru who was fondly called “Chacha Nehru” or “Chachaji” by children, he had a special connection with them and was always affectionate in their company. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was born on 14th November 1889, in Allahabad and was schooled at home under private tutors in his early life. This is his 132nd anniversary. After he breathed his last in 1964, a resolution was passed to celebrate his birthday as Bal Divas or Children’s Day, where all can revisit the child in them and celebrate their childlike qualities and remember the importance of keeping them intact.

Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was the epitome of love towards children and was always devoted to working towards their betterment and welfare. A child when well nurtured builds a stronger nation. And this can be achieved through quality education, a child’s first school is their home, so parents play an important role in laying the foundation of discipline, honesty, and sincerity, and children with such qualities go on to excel in school and life and bring laurels to our nation. Many of our great freedom fighters credit their competencies and ability to their parents and teachers, similarly, one can take inspiration from them and follow their paths by giving due respect to parents and teachers equally as they play an essential role in shaping a child’s future. A child should be given complete freedom to unleash themselves and explore their interests and take the path of their calling. And this is possible only through proper education and holistic development.

A child should be treated and cared for in the kindest and affectionate way and Pandit Nehru deeply cared for their well being hence many laws were established for this purpose. The Indian Constitution’s Supreme Law guarantees that all under the age of 18 have children’s rights. This law advocates the right to be cared for by their parents or guardians, the right to education, the right to consume healthy food, and the right to feel safe and protected. Specially-abled children have the right to special care.

In his regime, he always focused on the vision of making India a world leader and that can be achieved only by nurturing the future of the country which are the children. He always believed in empowering young children and never clipping their wings. He said, “The children of today will make the India of tomorrow.” This Children’s Day let’s take a pledge to create a safe place for the future of our country and not threaten and hinder their growth.

Wish you all a Happy Children’s Day.

I welcome you all to the celebration of Children’s Day. This day is dedicated to children to commemorate the work and love put in by our first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, this marks his 132nd anniversary. Jawaharlal Nehru became our first Prime Minister in 1947 after India was declared an independent nation and he reigned for 16 years, and he always advocated for children’s rights for safety, health, and education. He was tutored privately with a tutor in his early years and he understood the importance of education and the good outcomes it can lead to.

He loved his time with children and children also were very fond of him as they referred to him as “Chacha Nehru” and “Chachaji”. He had a great vision for India, to make it into a world leader and he knew that was only possible if the young people are nurtured from childhood, by giving them the freedom to dream and have the basic amenities and the right to be protected and taken care of.

Among the basic rights for children education and health were of extreme importance and he ensured to enlighten people with the same philosophy and encouraged parents and teachers to give their children wings to fly and dream the future they want to create and allow room for mistakes and improvements as these qualities empower them to innovate and build a better nation. So let’s be the children our nation is proud of and create a better tomorrow for everyone around. I wish you all the best and a Happy Children’s Day.

A very good morning to my respected principal, teachers, and my dear friends. Today, on this lovely morning, I, name of the student, am here to deliver a short speech on Children’s Day

Children’s Day is observed on 14th November every year in India since 1954. The day has been chosen in the loving memory of the first Prime Minister of India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru’s birthday who was also very fond of children. In ancient time, it was observed that children’s rights and freedom was being exploited by the people. Given the important role of children in shaping a nation’s future, an action was decided to be taken against the injustices on children. After thorough research and plenty of observations, the fellow demanded the collection of funds to save children in India. He took inspiration from the Flag Day observed in England on the birth anniversary of Queen Elizabeth. Following the same lines, Pandit Nehru’s birth anniversary was chosen as the required day for the collection of children's funds. It was in 1951, when 14th November was observed as Children’s Day and the process has continued since then.

As we all know, children are the future pillars of our nation. It is important to protect them and grow them in a loving environment to ensure that they end up becoming responsible citizens and loving people in their later lives. It is also true that a child’s personality is majorly influenced by their childhood trauma and abuse. This creates a negative impact on the development of the country since instead of taking part in the development of the nation, they end up becoming irresponsible and cruel citizens. Bringing change in the way a child is brought up can do wonders for society. Children are the future-builders, creators, and shapers. A nation’s future progress is completely dependent on children, the youth of the country. Hence, it becomes immensely important to protect the children and provide them with a safe and sound developing environment.

Governments, NGOs, and schools organize various events on this day to keep students happy and remind them about their importance and what they have to do in the future. And for the society, it acts as a reminder of the importance of children in society.

Long Speech on Children’s Day

The long speech on Children’s Day is attached below for school students. Read this speech carefully and pick the relevant and important lines to create a beautiful speech for your examinations or speech competitions.

In 1951, a United Nations Social Welfare member came across a study that revealed that there was no organization and awareness on protecting underprivileged children in India.

Children’s Day celebrations do not limit themselves to the collection of children’s funds. Over the years, it has expanded itself and the celebrations have started focusing on building awareness related to child crimes, exploitation of their rights, and many deadly diseases that are pretty common in children. There have been campaigns and events focused on protecting girl children and providing education to them, just like their male counterparts. But, providing education and building awareness is just not enough to protect our children and ensure that they have a happy and cheerful childhood. After this realization, various laws and schemes have been formed and implemented to protect children and work for their welfare. Now, various NGOs have also been established throughout the country to look after the disabled, underprivileged, and orphan children to ensure that their childhood is secured.

As we all know, children are the future pillars of our nation. It is important to protect them and grow them in a loving environment to ensure that they end up becoming responsible citizens and loving people in their later lives. Speech Script: Children’s Day

Children’s Day is a special occasion dedicated to celebrating the joys of childhood and recognizing the rights of children. It is an opportunity to reflect on the milestones achieved in child development and to advocate for the continued welfare and education of young ones around the world. Writing a speech for Children’s Day requires a thoughtful approach that captures the essence of the day, engages the audience, and delivers a meaningful message. In this guide, we’ll walk through the steps to craft an inspiring and memorable speech script for Children’s Day.

Table of Contents

Understanding the Audience and Purpose

Before drafting your speech, consider the audience. Are you addressing children, parents, educators, or a mix of all three? Understanding who will be listening helps tailor your language, tone, and content. The purpose of your speech should also guide your writing. Determine what you want to achieve: Are you aiming to inform, persuade, inspire, or entertain? Reflecting on the audience and purpose will provide a framework for your speech.

Choosing a Theme

Children’s Day speeches often revolve around themes such as the importance of education, the joy of childhood, children’s rights, or the role of the community in nurturing the young. Choose a theme that resonates with you and is relevant to the current social context or any recent developments in child welfare. A clear theme will give your speech direction and unity.

Crafting the Introduction

Start with a hook—an interesting fact, a thought-provoking question, or a relevant anecdote—to grab the audience’s attention. Introduce yourself and the theme of your speech, and briefly outline what you plan to discuss. The introduction should be engaging and set the tone for the rest of your speech.

Developing the Body

Organize the body of your speech into clear, logical points. If your theme is the importance of play, for instance, you might have three main points: the developmental benefits of play, the current state of play in education, and ways to incorporate more play into children’s lives.

Use examples, stories, and data to support your points. Personal stories or anecdotes about children can be particularly effective in illustrating your points and making the speech more relatable. Remember to keep the language simple and clear, especially if children are in the audience.

Incorporating Quotes and Statistics

Quotes from notable figures in the field of child development or children’s literature can add credibility and depth to your speech. Similarly, relevant statistics can provide a strong evidence base for your arguments. However, use these sparingly and ensure they enhance rather than detract from your narrative.

Engaging the Audience

Throughout your speech, look for ways to involve your audience. Ask rhetorical questions, prompt reflection, or invite participation. This engagement keeps listeners invested in your message and helps maintain their attention.

Including a Call to Action

A powerful Children’s Day speech often includes a call to action. Encourage your audience to take specific steps in support of children’s rights and well-being. This could be advocating for policy changes, volunteering with children’s organizations, or simply spending more quality time with the children in their lives.

Concluding Effectively

Conclude your speech by summarizing your main points and reiterating the central message or theme. Leave your audience with a memorable final thought or a poignant quote that encapsulates the spirit of Children’s Day. The conclusion is your last chance to impact your listeners, so make it count.

Revising and Practicing

After writing your speech, revise it for clarity, coherence, and impact. Trim any unnecessary words, ensure transitions between points are smooth, and check that your message is clear. Practice delivering your speech aloud to get comfortable with the flow and to make any necessary adjustments to the content. Pay attention to pacing, intonation, and body language—these elements are just as important as the words you speak.

Incorporating Visuals and Props

Depending on the setting and your comfort level, consider using visuals or props to enhance your speech. Visual aids like slides or videos can reinforce your message and provide a break from the spoken word. Props, such as books or toys, can also illustrate points about childhood and play.

Being Flexible and Adaptable

Be prepared to adapt your speech on the day. If you notice the audience is particularly responsive to a part of your speech, you might choose to expand on it. Conversely, if a certain part isn’t resonating, you may need to move on quickly. Reading the room and being flexible will help you connect with your audience more effectively.

Sample Structure for a Children’s Day Speech

Here’s a sample outline to help you structure your speech:

Children’s Day Speech for Student and Children

Children’s day speech.

Children’s Day Speech – The mid of November is a very special occasion for us. Every year we celebrate 14th November as Children’s day. We celebrate it because it’s the birthday of our first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru . His bond and fondness with children are legendary.

Children's Day Speech

How We Celebrate Children’s Day?

In schools and institutions is a day of fun, most of the schools organize several entertainment programs and exciting competitions for the children. However, the day is incomplete without a reflection of the ideas and values that Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru lived by.

He has come from a very fortunate background but it did not affect his attitude. Also, his family wealth was enough to have him a place of honor in British India. Still, he chose to be at the side of Mahatma Gandhi and become an important part of the freedom struggle.

Moreover, he dedicated himself completely for the cause of the nation, from the Civil disobedience movement to Satyagraha. From jail terms to negotiating the terms of our independence he was there. He has shown us a path that can help us to reclaim our rightful position as leaders of the world.

His Personal life

He has set an excellent example for the youngsters, parents, and teachers of our country. In this era of technology, we all have complaints and most of the lack of time. Nehruji proves that all these barriers have been built up by our minds.

In 1928, he was busy attending to the work of the Congress, and call for the Purna Swaraj was a hopeful spark and at that time his 10-year-old daughter Indira was studying in Mussoorie.

However, the great man manages to shape the mind of his young daughter. The letter that he wrote to his daughter is what we now know as “Letters From A Father To His Daughter”. Which gave us the dynamic leader Indira Gandhi.

Even though his imprisonment term he manages ton pen down one of the finest books of Indian history- The Discovery of India. All these examples are enough to motivate teachers and parents. Nehruji’s life encounter can show parents, teachers, and thinkers to shape up the young mind and lead them to greatness.

The Bitter Truth of Today

Today, the children of our country are fighting for basic healthcare and education. On this occasion, I would like to put forward some alarming data. In the Asian continent, India is the leading country when it comes to the employment of child labor.

Moreover, around 33 million children are working in various industries which are about the firth of child labor working worldwide. Also, many of these children are working in hazardous industries such as bangle making, matchbox making, precious stone cutting, etc.

By not making an effort to stop child labor and by not making primary education available to each child we are entrusting their future and our own into darkness. When each one of us makes a concrete effort towards this evil, only then we can make our country successful and great just like Nehruji, Mahatma Gandhi and other leaders had envisioned.

To sum it up, I extend my warmest greetings and wishes you all a Happy Children’s Day. In addition, let’s celebrate this day with joy and fully appreciate the gift of childhood that has been given to us. However, let us also remember the great responsibility that is ours towards this society and a better India.

Again very informative article Ruchi. I think these tips definitely help the kids and make them more confident in front of the audience.

Delivering an engaging speech needs pratice. And inculcating the habit of doing reseach right from our kid’s first ever speech will put them on the right path. This will not only make them feel more confident but it will bring the natural flow while delivering it.

Here in USA, we missed a lot our Indian patriotic celebration. your post has made me remind my school days, when we use to prepare and present speech for children ‘s day. you have shared great tips and speech idea for children day speech in this post. I am sure it will help lots of parents and kids to deliver good speech on this occasion.

However public speaking classes we send our kids to the experience of actually taking part and preparing for it different. Your tips are not just practical but effective also

This is thoughtfully curated post. Mostly on occcasion like these parents run around searching for content. Here we have everything at one place with the tips to apply.

Your post made me so nostalgic. I used to write so many speeches for both my kids and used to end up learning them by heart. One day my daughter came from school at 4.30 pm and announced that she had to dress like Nehru and give his speech. Imagine my plight..I was running around trying to get her dress ready and then her speech. No internet no online shopping, Suddenly I remembered that my Wren & Martin had some excerpts in precis writing and there I found My tryst with destiny speech .”

Ah! This came right in time, We had to work on a speech and a story on the Children’s day function next week. I will keep your points in mind.

Kids are always excited about Children’s Day and giving a speech is an important part of it. With your help I’ll now add some more points to help my kids speak better about it.

This is such an apt post. One stop solution. Loved all the tips. Public speaking in a need of an hour and content like this makes it effective and engaging too. Thanks for sharing dear.

This made me think a bit. And I love the suggestions that you gave according to the age. Children should know what it is before enjoying the holiday or the celebrations at school.

This is the time when we all bring up different things up for our kids, but the best way to amp up the spirit of real children’s day is by giving them something that really adds value. This is a right post for that.

Such a wonderful topic of discussion. I think the this will surely help kids & parents.

The timing of the post and the content of this speech are very good. I am sure many moms will benefit from it while preparing their kids for show and tells on the occasion of Children’s Day.

Just today I received a circular about the Children’s Day speech at school and I read your post, it’s such a timely coincidence. Will surely try and follow your tips.

Researching about nation’s first PM is always a resourceful activity. The pointers presented here are very crucial while planning the speech. Covering each information of personality in speech with learnings is a great way to conclude the speech.

These are such great tips to prepare any child for children’s day speech. Throughout my life I have never been comfortable on stage but I don’t wish same for my son. I want him to be comfortable on stage so I would like develop that in him from the very early stage. And the tips you have shared will help me in doing that.

Now days kids have to speak such speeches right from pre-primary & primary classes. Children’s day is fast approaching and this speech will be of ready help.

This is so cute and helpful specially since children’s day is coming up. My son is also prepping for some speech by Nehru at school for this occasion.

This day celebrated to honour all children as well as to honour the person who was the epitome of great love towards children.

Delivering a good speech needs a lot of focus and confidence. You have shared some speech tips and tricks which can be easily used and super helpful.

Wonderful post !! Everything well searched then written .it’s really gonna benefit mother’s to help kido’s prepare children day speech and know about children day

Greetings to everyone present here on this auspicious occasion of Children’s Day. It is celebrated every year on 14 November which marks the birth of our beloved late Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. He reigned for 16 years during which he always encouraged for Children’s rights, protection, health and schooling. He was tutored privately with a coach in his early years and he understood the significance of education and the impact it can leave in a person’s life. He loved his time with youngsters and kids also were keen on him as they cited him as “Chacha Nehru '' .

He had a wonderful vision for India to become a global leader. He recognized that this was only possible if the youth were nurtured from an early age and given the freedom to dream and access to their fundamental rights. Education and health were of utmost importance and he emphasised the importance of these rights to the people. He encouraged parents and teachers to foster creativity and openness to ideas in children. Let us honour the beliefs of our beloved Prime Minister and work towards making our nation proud. The future lies in our hands. I wish everyone here a Happy Children's Day.

Welcome to the Children's Day celebration on November 14, also known as Bal Divas in Hindi (Bal meaning "Child" and Divas meaning "Day"). This day honors Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, affectionately referred to as Chacha Nehru, who was fond of children and had a special connection with them. He was born in Allahabad in 1889 and educated by private tutors in his childhood. After his passing in 1964, his birthday was declared Children's Day to celebrate the child within us, remember the importance of childlike qualities and revisit our inner child.

Nehru dedicated his life to the betterment and welfare of children, leading to the creation of various laws, including the protection of children's rights under the Indian Constitution. All children under 18 have the right to be cared for by guardians and parents until the age of 18, and differently-abled children have the right to special care.

The belief that Chacha Nehru had in us is reflected in the faith that our parents and teachers have in us. Children's Day is a tribute to Chacha Nehru's beliefs about the significance of children for the growth and development of a nation. To honor and cherish his beliefs, we should strive to be the best versions of ourselves.

A very Happy Children’s day to everyone. Thank you.

Children’s Day Speech

Good [morning/afternoon/evening], esteemed guests, honorable members of the community, dedicated educators, beloved parents, and, most importantly, our bright and vibrant children. Today, as we gather to celebrate Children’s Day, we are reminded of the joy, innocence, and potential that children bring into our lives. It is a day dedicated to cherishing them, recognizing their importance in our world, and reaffirming our commitment to nurturing their growth and safeguarding their rights.

The Essence of Childhood

Childhood is a magical time, filled with wonder, curiosity, and dreams. It is a phase of life where imagination knows no bounds and possibilities are endless. Children view the world with fresh eyes, untainted by the biases and prejudices that often come with age. They remind us of the pure joy found in simple pleasures and the importance of living in the moment. Today, we celebrate not just the children in our lives but the child within each of us.

The Role of Society

As we celebrate Children’s Day, we must also reflect on our roles as guardians of these young souls. It is our responsibility to create a world where every child can grow up in an environment of love, understanding, and security. A world where education is not a privilege but a right that is accessible to every child, irrespective of their background. We must work tirelessly to protect them from harm, to ensure that their voices are heard and valued, and to provide them with the opportunities they need to reach their full potential.

The Importance of Education

Education is the cornerstone of a child’s development. It is not merely about acquiring knowledge but about learning how to think critically, solve problems, and understand the world. It is through education that we can empower our children to dream big and equip them with the tools they need to chase those dreams. On this Children’s Day, let us reaffirm our commitment to providing every child with quality education that is inclusive, equitable, and stimulating.

The Power of Play

Let us also remember that play is an integral part of learning and development. Through play, children learn to interact with their peers, develop emotional skills, and unleash their creativity. It is through the freedom of play that children discover their interests and passions. As we strive to educate our children, let us not overlook the importance of giving them the space and freedom to play and explore.

A Call to Action

Let us carry forward the spirit of this day throughout the year, creating a world that values, respects, and cherishes its youngest members. To our children, I say: dream big, stay curious, and never stop exploring. The future is yours, and it is bright.

1 Minute Speech On Children's Day

2 Minutes Speech On Children’s Day

Greetings to everyone present here.

Today we all are here to celebrate the occasion of Children’s Day. Of course, the 14th of November is also the birth anniversary of the great Indian freedom fighter Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru. I feel lucky to have a chance to deliver a speech on Children’s Day and its history.

Children’s Day, also known as Bal Diwas, is celebrated on November 14 every year in India. Before the demise of Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru, it was celebrated on November 20 just like United Nations. To honour his love towards children, a decision was made by the parliament to celebrate Children’s Day on the birth anniversary of Chacha Nehru.

Jawahar Lal Nehru considered children the real strength of a nation and the foundation of society. Chacha Ji said: “The children of today will make the India of tomorrow. The way we bring them up will determine the future of the country.” He always loved kids and so he was very popular among kids.

Apart from the tribute to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the celebration speaks of children’s rights, care and education. He had a broad vision and modern thinking. One can easily guess what how was thinking by listening to his speech “ A tryst with Destiny Speech” .

But what if I say every one child out of ten is deprived of their childhood globally? Yes, it is true. I am talking about the heinous crime of child labour . If we want to pay tribute to Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru, we should find a way to save the future of our children.

Thank you…

3 Minutes Speech On Children’s Day

Reputable Principal, respected teachers and my dear friends! First of all, I would like to welcome all of you and also thank you all for having me a chance to deliver a speech on Children’s Day.

“Childhood” { keep  silence for 5 sec} is the best time in human life. This is what surveys reveal. It is the most enjoyable and memorable time for every human. Children’s Day is a day to which children eagerly wait…..and why not? This is the day when they are showered with a lot of love and affection.

You should know if you don’t that before the demise of Jawahar Lal Nehru this day was celebrated on November 20. But After Chacha Nehru’s Death, it was decided to observe this day on the date of his birth anniversary November 14. This is just because of his legendary bond with children.

He always considered the children the real strength of a nation and the foundation of society. Chacha Nehru had a broad vision. He knew that the children of today will make the India of tomorrow. The way we bring them up will affect the future of the country.

So, ultimately this day is for children’s rights, care and education. But what if I say every one child out of ten is deprived of their childhood globally? Yes, it is true. I am talking about the heinous crime of child labour . This sinful practice is the reason behind depriving every 1 child out of 10 of their granted rights.

Imagine, the weight of your body is 20 KG and you have to lift a weight of 40 KG. How it seems? Isn’t it burdening someone with huge tasks of which he is not capable? It destroys the childhood of children and also their future is burned to ashes. It is a cause of underdevelopment of the physical and mental health of children.

Everyone talks about taking a stand for their rights. But those children are already deprived of education and have no idea how to take a stand for their rights. How can they retrieve their rights? Did you get an idea? I am sure you all got stuck.

The short answer is They can’t. In this situation, society and the government should take a stand for them. Child labour needs to be trashed out of society and the country. It is not only destroying the future of young ones but also of our country because upcoming generations define the progress of a country.

Having Child labour in the country, we are dishonouring Chacha Nehru and his vision. If we want to pay tribute to Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru, we should find a way to save the future of our children.

This is what I want to say on this occasion. Thank you…

Title: Unleashing the Potential Within

Respected Teachers, Dear Friends, and Beloved Students,

A very good morning to one and all,

Today, we come together not merely as students of this institution, but as the bearers of dreams, the architects of our future, and the heartbeat of a thriving community. As we celebrate Children's Day, it's a time to pause and reflect on the incredible journey we are all a part of.

Children's Day, a day dedicated to us, the spirited youth, is not just about festivities and sweets; it's a celebration of the boundless potential within each one of us. It's a day to acknowledge that within these school walls and beyond, dreams are not only welcome but essential.

In our pursuit of knowledge, let's remember that education is not confined to textbooks and exams. It's a journey that involves discovery, creativity, and the molding of character. Our teachers, who stand as guiding lights, are not just educators; they are mentors shaping us into individuals capable of navigating the complexities of the world.

As students, we are like seeds planted in this fertile soil of learning. Each one of us is unique, with our own set of talents, interests, and aspirations. Let's celebrate this diversity, for it is the kaleidoscope of our collective experiences that makes our school vibrant and rich.

Dreams – those intangible, ethereal whispers that echo in the corridors of our minds – are our compass. Today, I encourage each one of you to dream big. Dream of the stars, the undiscovered galaxies of knowledge, and the uncharted territories of your potential. Your dreams are not mere illusions; they are the blueprints of the extraordinary lives you are destined to lead.

However, dreams are not solitary travelers. They need companions on the journey – hard work, dedication, and resilience. The path from dreams to reality is often challenging, but remember, it's these challenges that forge the steel of character and determination.

In the age of technology, let's be mindful digital citizens. Let's use the tools at our disposal not just for entertainment but as instruments for learning, connecting, and making a positive impact on the world around us.

As we celebrate Children's Day, let's also reflect on our responsibilities. The world is evolving, and so are we. Let's grow not just in stature but in kindness, empathy, and understanding. Let's be the change we wish to see.

In conclusion, my dear friends, let's revel in the joy of being children. Embrace the wonder of discovery, the thrill of learning, and the camaraderie of friendships that will last a lifetime. Today, we celebrate not just Children's Day but the promise and potential each one of us holds.

Thank you, and let the celebration begin!

Children’s Day is celebrated on different dates in different countries, however, it is celebrated every year in India on the occasion of the birthday of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru on 14 November. November 14 is the birthday of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of independent India, which is celebrated every year as Children’s Day all over India.

Whereas, 1 June is celebrated as International Children’s Day and on 20 November as Universal Children’s Day.

Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru loved children very much. He loved to play and talk with children.

He was the Prime Minister of India, however, while carrying out his political responsibilities towards the country, he preferred to be amongst the children.

He was a very friendly person, always motivating and encouraging children to become patriotic and happy citizens. He was very inspirational and inspired in nature. Children used to call him Chacha Nehru because of his love and affection.

Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was fond of roses and children throughout his life. Once he said that children are like the buds in the garden. He was very concerned about the condition of the children in the country as he considered children the country’s future.

He wanted the children to be nurtured by their parents with great care and love for the country’s bright future.

He considered children as the real strength of the nation. He loved both girls and boys equally and believed in providing equal opportunities to them for the real development of the nation. The children affectionately called him Chacha Nehru.

Children’s Day Celebration Organization tells the importance of children in building the future of the nation. The objective of organizing this festival is for all the Indian citizens to save their young children from all harm and provide them a better childhood.

Nowadays, children are falling prey to many types of social evils like drug, child abuse, alcohol, sex, labor, violence, etc. They are forced to work hard at a very young age to get a little money.

They are deprived of a healthy life, parental love, education, and other childhood happiness. Children are the invaluable asset of the nation as well as the hope of the future and tomorrow, so they should be given proper care and love.

Now I am going to conclude my speech, thank you all for being here and making this program a success.

~Thank You for listening~

Both type of speeches convey the quintessential emotions to the children and make them realize that they truly are a great treasure for our country which we need to preserve and mould them into bright and mature youth.

Welcome Speech for Children’s Day Celebration 1

Good Morning One and All! I take this wonderful opportunity to welcome our dear students on this propitious occasion of Children’s Day.

This day is very important in the life of a child as well as their parents. The day reminds us about our duties towards you all. You are like a tender buds, who in whichever way can be molded. This implies that you children are so innocent that any wrong kind of schooling can adversely affect your personality.

This is the right age when every child needs appropriate education, you need to be taught good things in life and you should learn from your mistakes; they are also your best teachers in life. Mistakes teach you to identify your weaknesses and overcome them. Children are important all over the world. So, Children’s Day is celebrated in various countries with equal pomp and show. United Nations, one of the biggest organizations in the world, too celebrates Children’s Day but on 20 th November every year.

In India we celebrate it on 14 th November due to a certain reason. The historical background associated with this date is that it happens to be Pundit Jawaharlal Nehru’s birth anniversary , who was also the first Prime Minister of India. He had a great love for children and was fond of spending his time with young kids like you all. Children affectionately referred him as Chacha Nehru. After his death in 1959, a decision was taken to celebrate Children’s Day on his birth anniversary; to commemorate his love for the children.

He believed that children are creation of god and their innocence melts anybody’s heart. A child’s sweet smile brings a big smile on your face automatically. It acts as a soothing balm to both parents and teachers. I still remember those days when I used to be tired from household work and as soon as I use to enter my class, my tiredness ended by seeing your happy smiles. School is considered to be second home for your children; we teachers not only impart education and knowledge but also become parents in certain circumstances as every child has a different talent. We nurture every seed and mould the child according to his strength and weaknesses.

Therefore, Teachers should not leave any opportunity to let this treasure of talent out of their students as children need encouragement both at home and school. Children’s day is celebrated with lots of fun and frolic activities like games, sports, indoor games, outdoor games, dance, drama play, national songs, speech, essay writing etc activities and all. This is the day which removes all the barriers against children and allows them to celebrate as they want. Welcome Speech for Children’s Day Celebration 2

Good Morning Respected Principal, Teachers and My Dear Loving Students!

Today is a very auspicious event of Children’s Day, which is celebrated among all of us. As we all agree you children are the bright sunshine of the society, the seed of a plant that will nurture our country’s future.

Children’s day is celebrated all over the world to cherish and adore the innocence of children like you, to make you feel special for your role in the world and show you the positive side of being a child. In India Children’s Day is celebrated on 14 th November which is also considered to be the birth anniversary of great Indian freedom fighter and our first Prime Minister of India, Pundit Jawaharlal Nehru.

His birth anniversary is celebrated as children’s day all over the country because of his immense love and affection for children. He was a change maker, not only in the freedom fight but also in social change. Our first Prime Minister was a man of high ideas, and believed in equality between both male and female. He strived towards making this country equal in all terms which includes equality in relation to wealth, education etc. He believed that the strength of a country, is its young people and children who help in developing our country through their new ideas and innovative methods.

This admirable ideology and love for children is the main cause that we celebrate Children’s Day on his birth anniversary, to pay him respect and tribute. It is not only a day to celebrate the work of our first Prime Minister, but also to make the children feel special and loved. It is celebrated every year to make everyone realize the importance of children and their thoughts which are very crucial for our country and its culture.

This day helps us to acknowledge the value of you all in our lives and how we need to take proper care of you, which not only includes love but keeping you away from social evils of society which have destroyed the fabric of the state. I wish that you all should never lose the innocence of your childhood and should never get influenced from this cruel world.

Children’s day is to ensure that it is our duty to provide you with a happy atmosphere at both home and school. We all understand that the incidents that are happening around us today, no one is safe and we all need to assure you of that precious safety. Children are being easy targets to rapidly growing crime as you can be handled easily. This kind of crime can only be restricted by providing education to all members of our society.

We all can make this day even more special by donating clothes and books to children of your age who are not able to afford education and basic healthcare. We all should collectively start this initiative and bring happiness in those people’s lives who do not have such kind of facilities which God has bestowed upon us.

Now I would want you all to enjoy various activities that we have planned for you on this wonderful occasion. Enjoy a fun filled day!

Welcome Speech for Children’s Day Celebration 3

A Very Good Morning to everyone gathered here to celebrate the Children’s Day today. I wish you all my dear students a very Happy Children’s Day. I, being the Vice Principal of this school welcome you all on this wonderful occasion.

At this juncture, I would take pleasure to deliver a speech as to why the birth anniversary of Pundit Nehru is celebrated as Children’s Day. It has been officially declared by the UN General Assembly to celebrate Children’s day on 20 th November every year, yet it is celebrated on 14 th November all over India annually on the account of birth anniversary of Jawaharlal Nehru. This is the main historical background behind celebrating Children’s Day.

His birthday has been chosen to be celebrated as Children’s Day due to his great love, care and affection for the children. He wanted to be surrounded by children throughout his life and worked hard for the betterment of children and youth of the country just after we attained Independence.

Pundit Jawaharlal Nehru was very much enthusiastic and warm hearted towards children especially about their welfare, rights, education and overall improvement in order to make this country a developed nation. He was very much concerned about the health and welfare of the children in India, so he worked hard for them so that they could get the rights that they deserve. He was called as Chacha Nehru by the children because of his selfless affection to them.

You should remember that childhood is the best phase of life which you all should live happily without any complaints. This phase would never come back where you can live life without any responsibilities. After a certain point in time, when you all grow up, you would have to take care of everybody which will make you responsible and you lose your innocence. This phase also prepares you to be motivated and develop your ambitions which in turn would help you attain a successful career in life.

If children like you are unhealthy from mind and body, you cannot give your best to the nation in near future. So, the juvenile phase of your life is the most significant phase which every parent and teacher should nourish with their love, care and affection. As being the citizen of the country, we should understand our responsibilities and save the future of the nation.

Children’s Day is celebrated with lots of fun and activities like games, sports, indoor games, outdoor games, dance etc. in several schools and colleges. In a similar manner we also have contributed in making this day a happy one for you all by arranging fun filled activities. This is the day which removes all the barriers against children and allows them to celebrate as they want.

Students should be motivated by teachers to showcase their talents on this occasion by participating in distinctive competitions which also gives them an insight about their strengths and weaknesses. We want that you should cherish these wonderful moments for your entire lifetime which will ultimately fulfill our objective of sighting you as happy and content.

Welcome Speech for Children’s Day Celebration 4

Good Morning Everyone! I thank you all for being present on this beautiful occasion of Children’s Day. This day is celebrated every year on 14 th November.

We welcome our adorable students to this program which we have arranged in order to make you satisfied and happy. It’s once in a while when you all can do what you want. You are considered to be the building blocks of our country and will remain to be so. It’s important that every parent and teacher on this day should take an oath to protect our tender buds from all kinds of wrong doings happening around us. Crimes against children shatter us to bits and every human being on this earth should understand the value of a child.

You are the ones who in certain circumstances give us huge ideas in life. Your innocence melts everybody’s heart but still some people involve in crime in relation to young minds. The crime rate against children in India has been increasing at a rapid pace which leads me to advice you all to keep yourself alert at every moment in life. Be safe and secure from your end. It is our responsibility too to keep you safe and sound as school is believed to be your second home.

Every child born on this mother earth has the right to basic education and healthcare like you all deserve in your childhood, but this is not the scenario. There is certain alarming ratio that I need to make you all aware about. You might have seen young children on roads and traffic lights begging for food. Have you ever wondered why do they dwell in such kind of activity? The fact of the matter is there are huge numbers of children in India who do not attend schools, as their parents are not able to afford their schooling; which leads them to working as menial laborers.

Government of India has taken certain stringent measures to stop child labor but there are still several people who force children like you to work as laborers. If ever you see such a condition, then you should immediately inform the police which will make you a responsible citizen of our country. Pundit Jawaharlal Nehru, who was a famous statesman and first Prime Minister of our country too stressed on the fact that you all are the building blocks of our nation. If you unite together then you all can become a strong force and fight against social evils prevalent in our country which have the ability to destroy social fabric of our society.

You all being young minds can develop new ideas and take our country to new heights. It is the day which unites everyone together without any barriers in our heart and soul. Thus, on this special day of yours dear children, we teachers collectively wish you happy Children’s Day and pray to god that you all will be able to achieve your dreams and objectives without facing any obstacle in life and make your parents and teachers feel pompous of your success.

You can now enjoy the colorful events of the day.

Children’s Day Speech 2

Good Morning respected Principal Sir, teachers, staffs and my dear friends. May name is ________ and I am here to give a speech on children’s Day.

We celebrate Children’s Day on the birth anniversary of Pundit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India. Apart from being a veteran freedom fighter and a prominent politician, he shared a very close relationship with the children of India. The children also loved him and called him Chacha Nehru.

Jawaharlal Nehru, all through his life, admired and loved the children irrespective of their caste, creed, religion, culture or financial background. He was of the opinion that children are the future of a nation and hence they must be nurtured and educated well.

It is this consideration of his for the children that we celebrate on Children’s Day. The day is celebrated to spread awareness about the welfare of children, mostly those belonging to financially poor and deprived class. Events are held to bring such children to the fore and also efforts to educate and nurture them are made.

Children’s Day is a befitting tribute to Chacha Nehru and his thoughts on the children and their contribution in a nation’s progress. With this I would like to end my speech, wishing you all once again a very Happy Children’s Day!!

His birthday is celebrated as children’s day because of his great love and affection for the children of the nation. He had given much importance to the children throughout his life and loved to talk them. He always liked to be among children and surrounded by the them. He is called as the Chacha Nehru by the children because of his lots of love and care towards children.

It is celebrated by the cabinet ministers and high officials including other people in the early morning by gathering at Shanti Bhavan and pay homage to the great leader. He always inspired and cheered the children doing deeds of bravery and sacrifice for the motherland.

Children’s Day Speech 5

First of all, I would like to say a very good morning to everyone gathered here to celebrate the children’s day today. At this occasion of children’s day, I would like speech about why the birth anniversary of Pt. Nehru is celebrated as children’s day. I wish you all my dear friends a very happy children’s day. It has been officially declared by the UN General Assembly to celebrate Children’s day on 20 th of November, yet it is celebrated on 14 th of November all over India annually on the account of birth anniversary of Jawaharlal Nehru. His birthday has been chosen to be celebrated as the children’s day because of his great love, care and affection to the children. He liked to talk and play with children for long time. He wanted to be surrounded by the children all through his life. He worked hard for the betterment of children and youths of the country just after the independence of India on august 15, 1947.

Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru was very much enthusiastic and warm hearted towards children especially about their welfare, rights, education and overall improvement in order to make this country a develop nation. He was very inspiring and motivating in nature, he always inspired the children working hard and bravery works. He was very much concerned about the health and welfare of the children in India, so he worked hard for the children so that they can get their childhood rights. He was called as Chacha Nehru by the children because of his selfless affection to them. His birthday was started celebrating as children’s Day all across the India after his death in 1964.

He always favored childhood and supported them to live proper childhood without any personal, social, national, family and financial responsibilities because they are the future of the nation and responsible for the country development. Childhood becomes the best phase of the life which should be healthy and happy of everyone so that they can be ready to lead their nation ahead. If the children are unhealthy from mind and body, they cannot give their best to their nation in the future. So, the childhood phase of the life is the most significant phase which every parents should nourish with their love, care and affection. As being the citizen of the country, we should understand our responsibilities and save the future of the nation.

Children’s day is celebrated with lots of fun and frolic activities like games, sports, indoor games, outdoor games, dance, drama play, national songs, speech, essay writing etc. activities and all. This is the day which removes all the barriers against children and allows them to celebrate as they want. Students are motivated by the teachers to show their talents at this occasion by participating in the quiz competitions or other type of competitions like painting, modern dress show, singing and cultural programs.

Children’s Day Speech 6

Good morning to the respected Principal sir, teachers and my dear friends. I would like to speech on this occasion of children’s day about the children’s day celebration and importance of children. I am very grateful to my class teacher to give me such opportunity to speech on this occasion in front of you all. Children’s Day is celebrated on different dates in many countries however, In India, it is celebrated on 14 th of November every year to commemorate the birth day of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. Actually the 14 th of November is the birth anniversary of the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru which is celebrated as the children’s day every year all over the India. 1 st of June is celebrated as the International Children’s Day whereas 20 th of November as Universal Children’s Day.

Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru was a true friend of the children. He loved to talk and play with children. He was the Prime Minister of India however loved to remain among children by following his all the political responsibilities towards country. He was very warm hearted person, always inspired and motivated children to be patriotic and happy citizen of the country. Children used to call him as Chacha Nehru because of his love and affection. He was very fond of the roses and children all through his life. Once he said that children are like the buds in the garden. He was very concerned about the condition of the children of the country as he understood children as the future of the country. He wanted that, children should be nurtured by the parents very carefully and lovingly for the bright future of the country.

He understood children as the real strength of the country. He loved children of both sexes equally and believed in giving equal opportunities to both for the actual development of the nation. His genuine love for the children became the reason of getting an endearing name as Chacha Nehru. In order to pay him a tribute, his birth anniversary is celebrated as children’s day all over India after his death in 1964. It is celebrated by organizing variety of activities such as singing, drama play, dancing, essay writing, storytelling, speech, quiz competitions, etc.

Celebrating children’s day memorizes us about the importance of children in making the future of the country. This celebration make a call to every Indian citizen to protect their little ones from all harms by providing better childhood. Now-a-days, children are being victim of many social evils like drug, child abuse, alcohol, sex, hard labour, violence, etc. They are forced to earn little money for hard work in the very small age. They remain away from the healthy life, parents love, education, and other childhood happiness. Children’s day celebration helps us to think again and again about the status of children in the country. Children are the valuable asset of the nation as well as future and hope of tomorrow, so they should get proper care and love.

Importance of Children’s Day Speech 7

Respected Principal, Vice Principal, Teachers and Beloved Students – Warm Greetings Everyone!

I take immense pleasure to thank the school for giving me the opportunity to deliver a speech on the importance of Children’s Day. Being a parent, I realize how important it is in the recent times to rejoice this wonderful occasion. It was Pundit Nehru’s dream that all the children of the nation must be educated and knowledgeable which mainly implies that they should be paying attention to all subjects equally as every subject is associated with certain amount of concepts which will help you to grow in your future life.

In memory of the great leader and to honor his love for children, November 14 is celebrated in India as Children’s Day. It is also referred to as Bal Diwas by a number of people. Several children across the world suffer from atrocities which are innumerable. We must ensure that the rights of children are protected and they are not exploited. It is rightly said that “God is closest to children because their hearts and minds are pure and innocent”.

Pundit Jawaharlal Nehru believed that children must be provided with love and attention as they are the future bearers of a nation. Children truly deserve a day that is dedicated to them. All across the world, different countries celebrate Children’s Day. You all are the picture of innocence and everybody adores children. It is a day specially set aside to honor children and celebrate your presence. This day is dedicated to children and everybody tries their best to make you all happy on this day.

Though, universally, Children’s Day takes place on 20 th November. The United Nations has declared this day as Children’s Day and it is intended to promote the welfare and wellbeing of children and also to celebrate childhood. Although November 20 th  is celebrated worldwide as Children’s Day, different countries have their own special day to celebrate this propitious occasion.

Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru being the first Prime Minister of India was very fond of children. The world may remember him as the first Indian Prime Minister and a skilled politician, but for children he was always considered as Chacha Nehru.

Despite being a polished and perceptive political leader, Nehru was immensely fond of being surrounded by children. He never discriminated between a girl and a boy as his ideology emphasized more on the concept of equality. Nehru Ji was a patient listener and he admired children while they spoke. He believed that children are the future of a nation and educating them is a step towards the progress of a nation.

Children’s Day is an occasion where we all should collectively take an oath for the safety of our children. The growing rate of crime in today’s scenario against children baffles parents and teachers to the core. We want that our children should be safe and to assure this aspect we need to educate them not only by imparting formal education, but it becomes our duty to make them aware about the social evils prevalent in our society. They should be taught to be alert every second in their life and should also be made aware about the difference between a good and a bad touch.

It would be then that we could provide them with a safe environment both at home and school. Therefore, children are tender buds and it becomes our duty to assure them, a safe atmosphere which they rightfully deserve. Celebrating Children’s Day just as a convention is not enough rather we should collectively take certain measures to protect their childhood as they are our young minds who will support our country to grow in an optimistic manner with novel ideas.

This is all from my side, thank you!

At the center of the criminal case against former President Donald Trump in Manhattan is the accusation that Trump took part in a scheme to turn The National Enquirer and its sister publications into an arm of his 2016 presidential campaign. The documents detailed three “hush money” payments made to a series of individuals to guarantee their silence about potentially damaging stories in the months before the election. Because this was done with the goal of helping his election chances, the case implied, these payments amounted to a form of illegal, undisclosed campaign spending. And because Trump created paperwork to make the payments seem like regular legal expenses, that amounted to a criminal effort at a coverup, argued Alvin Bragg, the district attorney of Manhattan. Trump has denied the charges against him.

For Lachlan Cartwright, reading the indictment was like stepping through the looking glass, because it described a three-year period in his own professional life, one that he has come to deeply regret. Now, as a former president faces a criminal trial for the first time in American history, Cartwright is forced to grapple with what really happened at The Enquirer in those years — and whether and how he can ever set things right.
