15 Anime That Will Motivate You To Study Hard

anime person doing homework

In the year 2022, a truly healthy trend started to circulate: The Lo-Fi Study Girl. A girl in headphones is seated at her desk and studying as a hip-hop-inspired lo-fi soundtrack plays in the background.

The animation loop is an inspiration for a character from Studio Ghibli’s movie Whisper of the Heart. The film is about Shizuku Tsukishima, who struggles to reconcile her love of writing and preparing for high school entrance exams.

The person who started the meme would make use of footage of Shizuku’s studies for their streams. After certain copyright violations, the creators urged artists to create a new version of the scene. This is how  “ Lo-Fi Study Girl “  was born.

In the spirit of Shizuku’s struggles and the message Lo-Fi, Study Girl stands for as well, I’ll be tallying the top 10 anime that inspire us to study.

The word “study” could refer to any topic, but to ensure that it’s constant, I’ll focus on anime instead of the book.

Let’s begin with a few specific areas. These are subjects that we can easily imagine ourselves studying in a classroom.

Table of Contents

15. Little Witch Academia

 Little Witch Academia

“A trusting heart is your power!” Atsuko “Akko” Kagari’s idol, the famed witch Shiny Chariot, spoke to her in a magical performance many years ago.

Since then, Akko has lived by these words and has aspired to become a witch like Shiny Chariot, one who will make people smile.

So, even her lack of magic background doesn’t hinder her from registering at Luna Nova Magical Academy.

But, when a giddy Akko is finally able to go to her school of choice, her journey to school is anything but easy.

Following her dangerous journey, she meets the timid Lotte Yansson as well as the hilarious Sucy Manbavaran. To her absolute joy, she finds the wand of Chariot, the Shiny Rod, which she can use on her own.

However, her time with Luna Nova will prove to be more difficult than Akko would ever imagine.

She is determined to not be behind her fellow students, particularly herself, and her self-professed rival, the stunning and talented Diana Cavendish.

So she depends upon her willpower to pay for her reckless conduct and lack of proficiency when it comes to magic.

In a period where magic is in decline, the story of  Little Witch Academia follows the enchanting adventures that follow Akko and her friends as they discover the meaning behind being a witch.

14. The Royal Tutor

The Royal Tutor

It’s all in the name.  This is possibly the most motivating anime in the field of education.

For all we know, every episode is focused on self-improvement and studying.

The story goes like this:  A tutor is brought into an edifice to groom, study and instruct four princes, who may one day be kings.

Every prince has his particular flaws when is to their studies. Their previous tutor was not successful.

This is the place where  Heine Wittgenstein  is. Aka-“The Royal Tutor”.

There’s no way to go through this show without taking the “motivation” from it to work harder.

You’ll be enticed by the self-improvement of each character, and it will give you the necessary motivation.

13. Denpa Kyoushi

Denpa Kyoushi

Like Assassination Classroom , Denpa Kyoushi has an emphasis on self-improvement.

While some episodes aren’t focused on studies in a conventional sense, every episode will teach you something useful.

It’s the lessons (like increasing your confidence) that will inspire you to do better in your studies.

Change your outlook about things, which can indirectly benefit you.

Hyouka

It’s a mystery anime series, therefore at first, it could be “weird” to recommend this.

However, at its core, Hyouka’s an intellectual and introspective anime that forces you to think and think.

Certain of the components are related to “studying” or doing things that don’t inspire you.

The anime makes “boring” themes sound fascinating and thrilling. Due to  the perspective.

Try it out and see if it helps you in the most unexpected of ways.

11. Rokudenashi

Rokudenashi

The main theme of this animation is fantasy and magic.

In the first two shows in  Rokudenashi  the topic of education is among the main subjects.

For instance, Glenn Radars, the main character , provides an illustration that shows how the words trigger an emotional reaction.

The lessons in the series are educational and remain throughout the series, however, they are not as extensive as the first few episodes.

Glenn Radars (the teacher) has a unique view regarding learning, studying, and teaching techniques. Some of them could motivate students to take on more work or change their view of studying, which could be beneficial.

There are a lot of similarities between  Denpa Kyoushi  and the Assassination Classroom. Particularly concerning the teacher is an “unconventional” teacher.

Despite the episode’s 2nd episode’s episode’s episode, this show is mostly in the right direction.

10. The Wolf and Spice

The Wolf and Spice

If you are asked to describe the show, the most humorous response is typical “Economics with a Wolf God.” It’s funny because it’s real.

The show divides its time between establishing relations between Lawrence, who trades, and Holo, the god of wolves, and investigating the trading practices of the medieval world.

Many business skills can be seen in the establishment of trade relationships, tracking exchange rates for currencies, and investing in ventures in business.

The story is meticulous and requires a lot of time to explain what’s taking place, yet it isn’t a lecture.

It keeps you involved with those interpersonal connections that are naturally formed through business connections. In truth, the best method of describing this kind of series is “The Business of People.”

9. Science Fell in Love, So I tried to prove it

Science Fell in Love, So I tried to prove it

The title of the article says it all. It has nothing to do with any specific scientific field and has more to do with the scientific method and how researchers go about researching, forming hypotheses, and accumulating information.

In this particular instance, however, the protagonists are determined to prove they love each other, to comic effect.

This is the main point of the plot, but the show does a great job of explaining the scientific method and the best way to apply it. It usually does this by cutting away at a passive-aggressive teddy bear. However, it’s educational.

The main message that this anime is trying to communicate more than anything else is the fact that scientific analysis can be used on any subject and that having a greater knowledge of the world is not a bad thing.

What else could you possibly see in an anime in which characters argue that dating sims can be difficult to use?

Are you unsure of what that means? It’s time to learn.

8. Chihayafuru

Chihayafuru

Remember, you are learning to remember the dates of historical events. Chemical equations, dates, or vocabulary words? Try it and more, but with 100 poems.

Then, try to identify the poems by their closing lines. You can then try it in a friendly match of Memory. The game I have described is a popular pastime in Japan called “Uta-Garuta” or “Poetry Karuta”.

It might seem easy, but once the skills come in, you realize how intense and fast these games can become.

Chihaya, our main character Ayase, aspires to be the top Karuta player in Japan and must learn and improve her reflexes to stay ahead of the pack.

It’s not unusual for people to be able to identify the poem by just the first word or the very first vowel. Although it’s time-consuming and hard as it might be, it’s often the most effective method of learning.

However, the reward is valuable.

7. Heaven’s Design Team

Heaven’s Design Team

God made the world, including land and sea, but populating it with animals was a problem and a hassle. He contracted it out to a group of artists.

With vague requests such as “has no wings but still flies” and “animal that tickles the maternal instincts,” each episode becomes a guessing contest for viewers.

This show is the perfect mix of zoologically interesting facts and innovative thinking.

Animal lovers will take pleasure in the bizarre trivia that enthralls all animals, and those with an artistic inclination will be able to identify with the frustrating requests and random creativity.

Have you ever heard that unicorns aren’t able to exist due to calcium deficiency?

Or that bats are flying horses?

And who knew that so many animals consume the feces of other animals?

Learning can be enjoyable, and the characters show the highest levels of pleasure and commitment to their craft.

6. Cells at work

Cells at work

Japan can transform everything into a charming anime model, and that includes platelets. Cells At Work falls into the category of edutainment.

Each episode is devoted to a physical or mental illness and explores how the body functions at an individual level. A lot of research and depth goes into each part of the series.

Biology classes could also integrate this show into their courses. Some videos show doctors reacting to the show and explaining the plot in more detail. This alone ought to be enough to get people interested.

The choice to identify every cell type according to its role in the human body offers an entertaining experience while being highly accurate in biological terms.

There’s an equation that can lead to educational excellence. Cells at Work perfected it. It’s now time to move on to more general studies.

Instead of focusing on a single topic, these shows encourage the feeling of personal and academic growth.

They are the characters who are awe-inspiring because of their intelligence and critical thinking skills, as well as their determination to know more.

5. The Quintessential Quintuplets

The Quintessential Quintuplets

The anime may be more of a harem-oriented romantic comedy , but the academic elements are what propel the plot forward.

Futaro Uesugi is hired to teach students like the Nakanoquintet ,  each of whom is at risk of failing to get out of high school.

There is plenty of comedy and jolly good times in the show, but it excels in the development of the relationships Futaro can build with his sisters in the course of academics.

Futaro may be a straight-A student, but his snarky personality is only able to get him there and he grows more likable.

However, the sisters begin to think that he’s an intruder, and it’s not worth their time. But they eventually begin to be more open and to be open to his help.

This is a delicate balance that Futaro and the other sisters are always changing, something anyone watching will appreciate.

4. Ascendance of a Bookworm

Ascendance of a Bookworm

While many Isekai shows rely on tropes or power fantasies for subversion, this one uses the genre to study adapting to something brand new.

Urano Mototsu is a confessed bookworm who reincarnates in the body of a young girl called Myne.

She has all the experiences from her previous lives, which include everything she learned by reading books.

This knowledge allows her to get the most out of her new lifestyle, where magic is everywhere, books are a necessity, and modern methods are absent.

The concept is simple; however, the show takes its time to build a world by going above and beyond to demonstrate that Myne’s current knowledge is a commodity at best and a burden at worst.

However, she utilizes her extensive knowledge to enhance the people around her.

With her determination and a piece of extensive information, Myne proves that anything can be accomplished.

3. Dr. Stone

Dr. Stone

The concept is similar to the previous one. However, this show shows the power of knowledge to provide everything you need from the beginning.

If humanity is mysteriously petrified and 3000 years have passed, Senku seeks to rebuild the world through scientific power.

Senku is a genius, and while most of us aren’t able to match his levels of knowledge of science, Senku has a huge concentration on community.

There are many kinds of communities of people, they say, and the genius of Senku helps to enhance the natural talents of the people around him.

The things that he designs are truly remarkable, given that mankind was brought back to the Stone Age. Water wheels and steel blades, ramen, and even a functioning car are very easy to achieve.

The show goes above and beyond to teach you how and also gives a helpful caution not to replicate the more risky stunts.

No matter what the stone age, or even the modern age, the quest for scientific discovery is never-ending with new and improved versions of the previous models.

2. Golden Boy

Golden Boy

At first glance, Golden Boy seems to be just a tale of an uninvolved goofball who is smitten with a woman and does his best to be close to her.

But, if you dig into the deeper aspects of Kintaro Oe’s story, you’ll discover a very sincere young man who has not lost his passion for learning and studying.

Instead of seeking a law degree, Kintaro decided to travel to Japan while bouncing through jobs.

So the man acquires numerous abilities and knowledge that he notes down in notebooks. His manner of treating women leaves something to be desired, but the man doesn’t make use of them, instead opting to learn from each new experience.

All he desires is to learn and study. To make a point, the biker drives over electric lines, shouting “Study!” as he is racing against a motorcycle.

If that’s not enough to make you feel committed, you don’t even know what will. The hot, childish, and outlandish show, over all else, encourages the love of discovering new things.

1. Assassination Classroom

Assassination Classroom

No shortage of anime focuses on school or mentors. The one that offers the best with its life lessons and fun includes the Assassination Classroom.

Korosensei does not just teach pupils how to excel academically but also how to be successful personally.

There is a real sense of self-improvement that the show makes every effort to communicate. Every failure is an opportunity to improve, and every win deserves to be celebrated. Everyone should know that they have someone who will be there for them.

It’s odd in a show where the main objective is to murder teachers . However, the parallels between taking an exam and shooting an opponent are significant.

The plot for the assassination is dressed up, in fact, and serves as a concrete indicator of what the pupils have learned.

Through Koro-sensei’s belief and direction, the students are taught that no matter what the world is a burden, they should not let themselves down. “

That concludes our list! We hope you like it. It can be anything. It’s amazing what slapping an anime face on an activity can do for our motivation.

  • Do any of the entries on this list inspire you?
  • If not, what anime has inspired or inspired you?

There’s nothing wrong with discovering an interest or new passion through anime. Inspiring is inspiration, and seeing these larger-than-life images of these things is the best method of discovering them.

Top 10 Anime About Hard-Working Students

Anime About Hard-Working Students

Can watching anime actually motivate you to work hard in life? Surprisingly, the answer is yes! Unlike what many think, anime serves as an excellent motivator for the viewers. By allowing the audience to immerse themselves in the show, the characters' traits often end up being imitated.

The impression they left and the result of their work motivate fans to work hard towards a goal. In this article, we will list 10 anime about hard-working students that will inspire you to do the same.

10. Run With the Wind

Run with the Wind

  • Number of seasons: 1
  • Watch it here: Netflix , Crunchyroll , HIDIVE

While the desire to pursue and achieve one's goals may be seen throughout anime, it is excellently depicted in the sports genre.

Run with the Wind is an anime based on running. The plot centers on Kakeru, a former track runner whose bleak life takes a turn when he meets Haiji Kiyose, a university student. Haiji convinces Kakeru to join the Kansei University Track Club after being impressed by his running form and agility.

Haiji's ambition is to compete in the Hakone Ekiden, one of Japan's most prestigious collegiate marathon relay competitions. What could possibly go wrong now that the first hiccup in his plan has been resolved thanks to Kakeru's participation? The eight other students in the track club, it turns out, are complete beginners and lack enthusiasm for the sport. With only a few months till the deadline, achieving this elusive goal is no easy task.

Run with the Wind has one of the most brilliant narratives in sports anime. Every character is given equal attention, and conflicts are naturally built up and resolved. The spectator can connect with Kakeru's and other characters' deep motives and vulnerabilities due to this. Furthermore, all of the characters feel like actual students with real-life difficulties, which makes seeing them work hard and achieve their goals all the more fulfilling and inspirational.

9. Silver Spoon

Silver Spoon

  • Watch it here: AnimeLab , Funimation

Silver Spoon is a wonderful anime that illustrates the challenges of adjusting to a new environment and pushing oneself beyond one's comfort zone. Every student strives to work hard and achieve their goals and have a fulfilling school experience.

The series centers on Yuugo Hachiken, a hard-working and studious boy who wishes to live apart from his family. As a result, he enrolls in Ooezo Agricultural High School, a boarding school in the Hokkaido countryside, at the start of the new academic year.

While Hachiken initially believed that his natural ability to study would help him thrive at this university, he is immediately disproved. Here, he is forced to mix and compete with talented peers who have spent their whole lives on farms and discover the hardships that come with farm life. Hachiken will have to work hard to find a place amongst those who are already accustomed to the harsh agricultural environment.

8. A Place Further Than the Universe

A Place Further Than the Universe

  • Watch it here: Netflix

A Place Further Than the Universe is a delightful anime that chronicles the intriguing journey of four hard-working students in quest of something extraordinary. Mari, Hinata, and Yuzuki, all of whom have lofty aspirations and ambitions of their own, are inspired by Shirase's desire to find her mother in a location far beyond the world itself: Antarctica.

The show has a sense of adventure that is uncommon in anime. It is wonderful to see the girls face problems and overcome them while also learning from their hardships from the beginning to the end. The characters constantly experience something new and memorable that will profoundly affect them in the future.

Watching these four students taking their youth in their hands and deciding to work hard towards their dreams is awe-inspiring.

7. Haikyuu!!

Haikyuu

  • Number of seasons: 4
  • Watch it here: Crunchyroll , Funimation , Netflix , AnimeLab

Hinata witnesses the "Little Giant" in action and aspires to follow in his footsteps. Despite his small height, he dedicates himself to volleyball and revitalizes the club at his middle school. The newly created team even makes it to a competition, but Tobio Kageyama mercilessly defeats them. Hinata joins Karasuno High School's volleyball team, vowing to beat Kageyama, only to discover that his sworn foe has become his teammate.

What makes Haikyuu!! so exciting to watch is how well every character is developed, including Hinata. They all have their own goals and work hard to achieve them, and there are no easy solutions for achieving their goals since the protagonists are novice volleyball players who are far from the finest in the world. There are no unexplainable wins here; instead, we get a well-crafted plot in which everyone progressively works toward their goal.

Bakuman

  • Number of seasons: 3
  • Watch it here: Hulu , Tubi TV

Bakuman needs to be included in a list like this; there's no way around it.

Moritaka Mashiro is a 14-year-old student who aspires to be a mangaka like his uncle Tarou Kawaguchi. But when tragedy strikes, he abandons his goal and decides to pursue a career as a salaryman instead. However, fate has other plans. One day, Moritaka has a fortuitous meeting with Akito Takagi, the school's top student and aspiring writer, transforming his life forever.

Moritaka and Takagi are now trying to create manga together, with the goal of having an anime debut within four years. Moritaka's objective is to get an anime adaptation made so that Miho Azuki, the girl he has a crush on, may voice-act in it. Takagi, on the other hand, despite abandoning the "mainstream" path, aspires to be wealthy and renowned.

Both the primary and secondary characters move independently and according to their own desires. This makes the characters extraordinarily human and shows the lengths a person will go to fulfill their goals. Seeing these hard-working students achieve their dreams will definitely leave the audience crying happy tears.

1. Kaguya-sama: Love Is War

Kaguya-sama Love is War Season 3

  • Watch it here: Funimation , Netflix , Crunchyroll , Hulu

Kaguya-sama: Love Is War follows the story of Kaguya Shinomiya, the heir of one of Japan’s wealthiest families and vice-president of her high school’s student council, and Miyuki Shirogane, the school’s over-achieving president who is from the working class.

The two student council leaders are clearly head over heels for each other, but both are too proud to admit it. Believing that the first one to confess love would be on the losing end, the two play a series of increasingly complicated mind games in order to force the other to admit their feelings first.

The President, Miyuki Shirogane, is a diligent student who, despite his humble beginnings, made it to the top of his class through hard work and perseverance. Miyuki holds himself in high regard and works tirelessly to preserve his perfect image. He is a textbook workaholic, enjoying his part-time job and often putting his own health at risk for the sake of his work. Kaguya Shinomiya, on the other hand, is a typical average oujou-sama. However, the pressure of succeeding in her father's business while excelling in academics often leads to her working hard all the time.

The Kaguya-sama: Love Is War anime is full of hard-working students, including interesting side characters like Chika Fujiwara, who is full of energy, and Yu Ishigami, who is quiet but dedicated to the council.

Weird But Effective Anime Shows That Will Motivate You To Study Hard

17+ Weird But Effective Anime Shows That Will Motivate You To Study Hard

An anime show that will motivate you to study? You won’t find many of those any time soon!

Most shows don’t focus on “studying” after all. Except when comedy, fantasy and other elements are blended into the mix.

This often “drowns out” the studying elements. But there are some anime shows that will do the job.

And so – if it’s the motivation you want to study, these anime shows are worth trying…

Let’s get to it.

1. The Royal Tutor

5 Weird But Effective Anime Shows That Will Motivate You To Study Hard

It’s all in the title.

This is probably the most motivating anime series related to studying. After all, almost 100% of the anime focuses on studying and self-improvement.

The story: A tutor comes into a palace to groom, study and teach 4 young princes who will one day become king.

Each prince has their own major flaws when it comes to studying. And their previous tutor was unsuccessful.

That’s where Heine Wittgenstein comes in. Aka – “The Royal Tutor”.

There’s no way you’ll watch this series without taking some “motivation” from it to study harder.

You’ll be drawn into each character’s self-improvement journey, and that will give you the needed inspiration.

2. Assassination Classroom

5 Weird But Effective Anime Shows That Will Motivate You To Study Hard

Another anime with a major focus on studying, hard work, and what it leads to if you dedicate yourself.

The Story : An alien who enrols as a teacher threatens to destroy the moon (and the world).

So a set of students are trained to assassinate and destroy Koro Sensei before that happens.

You’ll learn about philosophy, changing your perspective for the better, and life lessons which will aid you.

The comedy and action aspects are worth it, too.

3. Denpa Kyoushi

5 Weird But Effective Anime Shows That Will Motivate You To Study Hard

Similar to Assassination Classroom, Denpa Kyoushi has a strong focus on self-improvement.

While it’s true some episodes don’t focus on studying in a traditional sense, each episode teaches you something valuable.

And it’s those lessons (like building your confidence) that will motivate you to study harder.

And even change your perspective on things, which will indirectly help you.

5 Weird But Effective Anime Shows That Will Motivate You To Study Hard

This is a mystery anime series, so at first it might seem “weird” to recommend this. But at its core, Hyouka’s an intellectual, introspective anime that makes you think and ponder.

Some of the elements also relate to “studying” or doing things that aren’t particularly motivating.

And the anime manages to make un-motivating, “boring” themes sound interesting and exciting. As a result of perspective.

So try it. It might help you in a weird way.

5. Rokudenashi

5 Weird But Effective Anime Shows That Will Motivate You To Study Hard

The genre of this anime is fantasy and magic.

Within the first 2 episodes of Rokudenashi , education is one of the big topics.

Like when Glenn Radars, the main character, provides an example of how words can create a physical reaction.

These educational lessons do continue throughout the series, but not as much as the first few episodes.

Glenn Radars (the teacher) has a unique perspective on learning, studying and teaching methods. Some of these might motivate you to study or change your perspective on studying, which could help.

And there are similarities between Denpa Kyoushi and Assassination Classroom. Especially as far as having an “unconventional” teacher. Ignoring the 2nd episode’s incident, this anime is mostly on point.

6. Cells At Work

cells at work anime osmosis

Cells At Work is one of the latest and greatest in recent years. With a unique approach to education and entertainment.

The anime is about:

  • Red blood cells
  • White blood cells

And everything related to it inside your own body.

Red blood cells, white blood cells (and others) are given human-like characters to illustrate the role these things play in our immune system.

It’s comedic, hilarious, funny as F, but at the same time – educational and thought-provoking.

It’s the equivalent of learning about science and biology  without boring lectures. And instead – lectures and lessons that help you laugh and learn along the way.

7. Little Witch Academia

Little Witch Academia series franchise

Highly underrated and not mentioned too much. Studio Trigger made little Witch Academia .  You can think of it as the female version of My Hero Academia, with a lot of similarities but differences.

Atsuko Kagari wants to become a witch, so she signs up at a witch school. She has no innate talent or skill, but she’s so inspired to become a witch she doesn’t care.

This ends up being the reason some bully her, and why she’s made fun of by others, and this gets her down somewhat despite her public face not seeming bothered by it all.

Her teacher Ursula, a woman with a mysterious identity, is the one who motivates Atsuko and helps her to achieve her dream in a witch school she’s initially unfamiliar with.

The anime is written so well with its many motivational aspects and life lessons that it should be a good source of study motivation on some level.

8. Classroom Of The Elite

Classroom Of The Elite Ayanokoij Bus

Classroom Of The Elite is exactly as it sounds. And only the elite get to surpass or pass at all in this type of school. Everyone else suffers the consequences of defeat with more than just shame.

In a way this school, though it differs, is full of rich kids with an attitude, arrogance in some cases, and is ultimately full of people trying to prove themselves to others at the highest level.

This type of setting might motivate you to study in its own weird way, and other aspects might do it for you instead.

9. Dr Stone

Dr Stone Series Main Character

With well over 1 million members on MyAnimeList, Dr Stone is an anime that many never saw coming. The sheer quality, creativity, and story direction are something we’ve never seen before.

The main character develops things from scratch, of course with the help of others. He’s a true scientist and an inventor.

The anime is even riddled with facts that you can reference and search online for yourself. It’s impossible to not get study motivation from this.

10. My Hero Academia

My Hero Academia Deku Izuku

It might be the anime that’s always in the middle of a heated argument in Shounen forums, but it’s undoubtedly one of the best Shounen since  the year 2016.

It has the success to back it up.

Deku, the main character, or  Izuku Midoriya  which is his real name, loves to study, take notes, pay attention, observe, and work hard to achieve his goals.

In a way, he’s a representation of the average student who takes their studies more seriously than most.

He’s attentive, sometimes over the top with his obsession with self-improvement, and the anime does show some aspects of studying. There should be more than enough motivation if you’re seeking it.

11. Hetalia

Hetalia Anime Series Historical

Not an anime that’s shouted about too often, but if you’re talking about history then there are few there are as good. Hetalia, like others, focuses on historical elements but in this case from many countries.

Each character represents a different country and a different facet as a result.

It’s a fun series and it might give you the study motivation you’re looking for.

12. The Ambition Of Oda Nobuna

The Ambition Of Oda Nobuna Nobuna

History is a subject many are interested in. And many more don’t even know of this anime called The Ambition Of Oda Nobuna.  But now you do.

It’s a series about Nobunaga, a legend in Japanese history, and a man who reunited Japan and is considered a hero among the people.

This anime retells that story from the perspective of a female version of Nobunaga, now called  Oda Nobuna.

Her soldiers are also named after people from Japanese history, like Mitsuhide.

This is the study motivation you need if this is your area of interest.

13. Great Teacher Onizuka

Great Teacher Onizuka Old School

An old school anime series in its own right, and one that many people swear by. Fans from all backgrounds love Great Teacher Onizuka for its approach to not education and teaching, but  life lessons  overall.

Onizuka was a gangster. He changed his life around. He’s about that life and knows a pussy from a mile away, meaning someone who’s clearly acting out and isn’t built to deal with the seriousness of what they  think  they are.

This makes him a great teacher as the title implies. And aside from the animation which new fans might not warm to, it’s a solid series that brings plenty of motivation.

14. Haikyuu

Haikyuu franchise

Easily one of the more popular sports anime, especially in the modern era of anime since the 2010s. While it might be about volleyball and the male characters who participate, it still brings motivation.

More so for those who wanna study sports or a type of sports, and are highly motivated to pursue sports in their own lives (meaning  you).

Haikyuu is very detailed, attentive, looks good, and the characters are well-written. With the usual Shounen impact to hype it up, but all for the right reasons.

15. Food Wars

YouTube video

Not the first anime you’d think of for this list, but it has to be here despite the features it has. Food Wars is an anime that’s self-explanatory.

The best cooks, chefs, and more battle it out. From Senpai’s to Kouhai’s, to new beginners with potential, and more. But what’s motivating is the approach to cooking and how it all comes about.

Clothes might fly off here and there for added comedic effect, but during a competition, the level of detail, application, practice, effort, thought, and creativity in the craft of cooking is a sight to see.

It’s this aspect that should give you some motivation.

16. Ascendance Of A Bookworm

Ascendance Of A Bookworm Myne Cute Blue Hair

One of the latest Isekai since the 2010s to have educational value, as well as it being an anime that will give you the motivation to study, and motivation all around.

It’s like a modern version of the anime  Spice And Wolf.  A girl named Myne (her new name) is reincarnated after death in a new world. She dies after having books trample her to death or something similar that’s comical.

The story is about her new world, her love of books which she’s always had, and her pursuit to get richer so she can indulge in her passion for books and reading since only nobles in this new world have that kind of access.

She sells products like creams, hair clips, and things not modern to this new world, and there’s plenty as a general rule to find motivation for. Especially from a historical perspective.

17. Steins Gate

Steins Gate Franchise

Steins Gate is a science-based anime that was released in the 2000s. If science is a topic of study then you’ll be motivated by watching this.

You get to see all kinds of experiments, theories, ideas, and actions relating to the application of science and scientific methods. One is a microwave and its connection to time.

Of course, this particular aspect isn’t real and this is an anime series (meaning fiction), but it’s a pot of gold for the science inclined who swing that way and love this topic.

Which anime series has motivated you to study in the past?

Now, you may be wondering what this anime is doing on this list, and the truth is, we receive a lot of information on how the scooter, the famous Super Cub works, which is something you’ll most likely be interested in if you want to become a mechanic . Other than that, we also get some geography lessons and history lessons on the way as well.

21. Violet Evergarden

Violet Evergarden

Violet Evergarden is the most popular and famous Auto Memories Doll of the world. She’s a god blessed genius and multi talented , capable of writing letters that shake the world by its foundations , write lyrics for songs, and ghost write any kind of text effortlessly .

What very few know about her is that she’s an orphan , abandoned on an island, trained to be a soldier and a living, breathing killing machine . However, she was taken in by a kind hearted military officer , who taught her to read and write , taught her music, proper manners and even to talk.

Violet’s Story is an incredible historic masterpiece that really requires you to know a bit about history and be able to appreciate deep drama like this on a whole other level than other, more lax genres. History can be fun , believe me.

20. How Heavy Are The Dumbbells You Lift?

How Heavy are the dumbbells you lift?

Hibiki Sakura is your average high school girl who loves to eat a lot. She’s also therefore picked on by her best friend, and for that she decides to start working out to lose some of her extra pounds.

While the weight doesn’t go away (after all, muscle is much more dense than fat ), she gains an incredible form, and becomes adept at working out in various ways, making new friends in the process.

Now, knowledge in human anatomy , and the various ways of training your body and pumping iron in the gym is also something that requires studying and trainers there probably have a college degree themselves. Keep that in mind.

19. Land of the Lustrous

The Land of Lustrous

Your fate is not set in stone. Sometime in a post apocalyptic future , on a world that was destroyed by meteors , organisms known as Gems fight a species known as Lunarians who would normally kill and use their remains as decoration.

Our main character is Phosphollyte , or as friends refer to her, Phos . Her dream is to be able to aid her friends and comrades in the war against the Lunarians. However, she is very vulnerable due to which she is left out of everything basically.

Phos, while doing the work she was given, meets Cinnabar , a Gem who is given the task of patrolling an isolated island during the night, due to her body emitting a poison . Phos and Cinnabar become friends and Phos helps her new friend find a new role that is perfectly fitting for her. The adventure is all about Phos struggling to find her place and helping her fellow brethren wherever she can.

If you’re into Geology and Geography , this one anime alone might make you bust out your books and start finding out more about our heroines named after various minerals .

18. Poco’s Udon World

Poco’s Udon world

Souta Tawara left his home in Kagawa years ago, after getting into a fight with his father , who wanted him to be his heir as the owner of the family udon restaurant. Instead he became a web designer and successful at what he’s doing.

However, his father died only recently, and their home now stands empty . His mother died when he was just 5 years old . Souta only now realizes how lonely he is, and how much he regrets the decisions he made back then. However, he meets a small boy he names Poco , who changes his entire life.

Although in this case the example is negative , as it breaks apart the important and life defining relationship between parents and children, it is still true that living and studying for your own desires is important. As Souta’s example shows here, him doing what he wanted most, made him successful, but he didn’t need to completely t hrow his heritage away either.

17. Plastic Memories

Plastic Memories

Tsukasa Mizugaki ends up having to work instead of studying at the university he chose, since he fails his entrance exam . He’s paired with an android girl whom he falls in love with on first sight and is also the last one she’d ever love before her tragically short life comes to an end .

The real reason why this one is on the list is because Tsukasa began  studying in the field related to Giftia due to Isla inspiring him. The story is incredibly beautiful , and will help you realize how important it is to live for your dreams. If it means studying to achieve them, that won’t be a problem either.

16. Shirobako

Shirobako

Aoi Miyamori is someone who’s dreamed of working in the anime industry since she was a little kid. Her eternal great favorite is Andes Chucky and together with her friends they created their very own anime movie, ‘The Seven Lucky Wargods’ , which they plan on making into a big, major anime project in the future.

So they study to fulfill said dream , and years later they begin working in the industry even. The story follows their working towards fulfilling their dream .

The moral here is, if you work hard enough to fulfill your dreams, you’ll succeed one day. This also goes for your studies .

15. Baby Steps

Baby Steps

Eiichiro Maruo is a straight A student at his school, and many would envy him for how smart he is. He is in need of some exercise however, and he picks up Tennis as his sport of choice. Funnily enough, he’s a little overage for a beginner , but being the genius he is, he gets the hang of it quickly.

Despite the shaky beginnings , Eiichiro is able to progress in the world of tennis rapidly. He learns quickly from his peers and makes many friends , including a girlfriend that is one of the most beautiful girls of his school , also a tennis player.

While you may not necessarily make the love of your life if you study, being good at math and other subjects might greatly help you achieve some incredible things in your life.

14. Dr. Stone

Dr. Stone

Taiju Ooki is in love, and is finally ready to admit it to the girl of his dreams. The one he tells about this first is his best friend and weird genius , Senkuu. Just as he’s about to make the confession however, a strange incident causes the entire world to become petrified .

Thousands of years later , something thaws Taiju and Senkuu out, and since the world has been all but destroyed , they need to rebuild the world they used to know all over again and try to get others to thaw as well.

This is helped by Senkuu being the brilliant genius , capable of basically reinventing inventions that went lost from time immemorial to the world.

Senkuu’s example shows that even if you won’t be able to memorize everything from your books, if you pay attention you might find out some incredible things , while also having fun. While we likely won’t have the same kind of apocalypse like in the anime ever, it’s worth keeping those books.

13. Remake Our Life!

remake our life

28 year old Kyoya Hiashiba is going through a very uneasy period of his life. No matter what job he gets, no matter how hard he works, and what he does, he’s always either fired too early, or his workplace just closes down and seizes service.

He changes his own story and gets to work together with what would be known as the Platinum Generation in his normal future. However, him changing the past also greatly affects his future and that of his friends.

remake our life anime

How does this story inspire you to study you may ask? Well, first of all, we all seem to have a time in our lives when we go “I wish I did it differently back then”. Kyoya  travels back in time , studies in the field he originally wanted to and  becomes successful  in his career. The fact that this  changes the future  in a bad way for others is just the icing on the cake in this time.

The moral of the story is,  follow your dreams  and study the way you want, and  anything becomes possible  for you.

12. Science Fell In Love and I Tried to Prove It

sfiaittpi

Ayame Himuro and Yukimura Shinya are in love with each other. They have been for a long time, but only now does Ayame get around to admitting this to her colleague and similar brilliant researcher.

The story focuses around the two of them trying to figure out the science of how love really works, but in truth it’s just the two of them trying to cope with their feelings for each other.

The series should be able to convince you to study to be able to partake in weird, but fun experiments like their work even.

11. Snow White with the Red Hair

Snow White With Red Hair

Shirayuki is one of the most beautiful women in her homeland, and all that due to her beautiful red hair . She’s offered to be a concubine by the crown prince of her homeland one day, and this is enough for her and she makes a run for it.

Shirayuki’s goal throughout the story is not becoming the wife of prince Zen , but to become a doctor , and she strives towards that as well.

10. Appare in Full Bloom!

Appare In Full Bloom

After an accident with a steamboat built by Appare himself, the two of them end up drifting out on open sea towards the USA , and they’re picked up by a ship that takes them there too. They end up in San Francisco and they enter what could be considered the Cannonball Run in a sense just to earn enough money to go home .

In the end, after a completely crazy adventure , they win the race with the car Appare himself built, but don’t travel home. Instead, they stayed in US and Appare continued his work as an inventor .

Moral of the story, if you use your brains the right way, you might become someone who creates something extraordinary .

9. Izetta: The Last Witch

itlw

Izetta is a witch, and the last of her kind. When her childhood friend, Ortfiné, or Finé , crown princess and subsequent queen of her country is in dire danger, she rushes to her rescue and helps return hope into the hearts of the people of Elystadt .

The setting however is that of a war torn world , and Elystadt is at war with the Empire of Germania . This is an alternative retelling of World War II , and Izetta is a key in reviving the legend of the White Witch , so that the besieged country can stand the Germanian onslaught.

I’m one who loves their history , and if you also are, you’ll be so enjoying this anime. Knowledge of the events of world war II is a must have before diving into this anime after all.

8. Akashic Records of B***** Magic Instructor

akashic records of bastard magic instructor 1

Glenn Radars is a brilliant mage and one of the most powerful magic users in the world. However, he’s lazy and disinterested in things. He’s offered a chance to teach what he’s best at at his country’s best magic academy .

Even though he’s lazy and unreliable at first, he becomes a wonderful example of what a good teacher should be like if they want to captivate the attention of their students. His unusual and inventive methods make him popular among students , even if he’s a perverted jerk otherwise.

However, he’s actually a good guy , and cares deeply for his students , something some of his closest friends and students know best.

On her way to fulfilling that she finds new friends , a new purpose, and realizes that science and tradition often go hand in hand. She becomes the eponymous Black Fox , a master ninja, who combines science and ninja craft.

Rikka is a great example that you can achieve a lot of things by combining the things that make you yourself with what you love most in truth.

arte

Arte is the child of a wealthy Italian family and the prospect of a peaceful, but boring life in the future isn’t exactly her idea of fulfillment. She leaves her home , gives up her noble’s title and starts living as the apprentice of a painter and his housemaid at the same time.

The twist on this: We’re in Florence of Renaissance Italy , sometime in the beginning of the 16th century , and the painter Arte becomes an apprentice of none other than Leonardo Da Vinci . Follow Arte’s adventure as she matures from a girl who draws and paints pictures as a hobby, all the way to an acknowledged and accomplished artist .

Moral here is that if you work hard enough , you’ll be able to fulfill all of your wishes and goals in life.

5. Barakamon

barakamon

Seishuu Handa is a genius at Calligraphy , and is also proud of such a title. He gets into a scandal when a critique bashes his latest work at a contest and ends up being banned from contests for a while.

By the suggestion of his parents and manager, he moves to a small fishing town in the countryside to calm himself down and find his inspiration again. He meets the widest variety of people, makes wonderful new friends , and even starts tutoring kids and teens who are interested in his art.

In the end, he proves that he’s an even better tutor, than he is an artist , and permanently moves to the fishing town where he found his calling.

While Calligraphy isn’t necessarily something we all would get into easily, Handa’s example proves that having learned all those things about it has had its uses. Study the things you love most and you’ll be doing your hobby as your money earning job

4. Astra Lost in Space

AStra lost in space

While on a field trip from their school on Planet Mcpa , a group of teenagers are swallowed up by a wormhole that sends them into the orbit of a frozen planet , thousands of lightyears from their home.

Now they must join forces to be able to make it home and live to tell the incredible story . On their way however, they realize some truly incredible things about their home world and themselves and what started off as a cute teenage rom-com, turns into a very real human drama .

While this may seem like nothing special that could relate to studying, do not forget, that this is science fiction we’re talking about, and if some of the crew didn’t know the things they did about astronomy, or computers , and other tech , they never would’ve made it home.

relife

Arata Kaizaki is at a loss with his life. He’s unable to find a job, is 27 years old, and is faced with his failures every single day . One night, after a night out with old friends, he’s offered to take part in the ReLife project and change his life completely. All he has to do is go back to high school for a year.

By the end of the story, Arata is able to solve basically all of his problems he had until then, and even finds the love of his life . In school, many teachers and professors recommend studying and sleeping as ideal techniques to embrace in preparation for exams. However, students have their rituals which get them into study mode. While some prefer listening to music or watching a movie, others consider watching anime. Various exam traditions, such as watching certain TV shows or ordering particular coffee drinks, feel soothing. Nonetheless, studying for your exams is a necessity. Exams come in different forms. Hence, you need to prepare yourself as much as you can and ensure you get the grades you deserve.

Studying for exams may vary among people. You may prefer studying in groups with other students, stay till late in the night, or wake up very early in the morning. Students often choose the method which works best for them and are comfortable with. So, if you prefer watching films such as anime or listening to music before studying, go for it. Do not try and embrace the study methods other students use if they do not work well for you. Contrariwise, watching anime is a good tactic to adopt in preparation for your exams. Well, if you are the type of student who gets the concept while listening to music or watching something, then go for it. But, ensure you do not dedicate your attention to the anime and neglect your studies. Also, your professor may ask you to write an anime essay to see if you do understand much about anime films as well as devote your time to studying.

If possible, do your homework in advance

Watching a particular film can be too engrossing more so if they leave you hanging. You may want to know what goes on in the other episodes. So, when you have homework assignments to work on, you may leave them for a later time. This is not an advisable tactic to embrace. Hence, you can choose to purchase essays for sale and get to finish your homework on time. Also, this will enable you to have some time to study and prepare for your exams.

How Students Manage Time to Watch Anime Movies

Before exams, teachers often tell students to study and get enough sleep. But every student has a routine that helps them study. Some people like to relax by listening to music or watching a movie, but others might prefer to watch anime instead. Some ways to relax before an exam are to watch the same anime seasons show over and over or get a favourite drink at a coffee shop. Still, it’s important to study for the test. There are many different kinds of tests. You should try as hard as you can to study and get the best grades possible.

The best way for each student to study for tests could be different. You can choose to study alone, with friends, or all night long. Most of the time, students choose the way to learn that makes them feel most comfortable and works best for them. Before getting down to business, it’s fine to put in an anime or music video. In other words, you shouldn’t force yourself to study the same way as other students if you find that it doesn’t work for you. On the contrary, watching anime can be a good way to study. But they can be too interesting and make it hard to study and saying yes .

Is there a way to watch your favorite shows and do your homework at the same time?

Learning how to use your time well is a skill that will help you not just in school, but for the rest of your life. If you use it well, you’ll get something good in return. You’ll need to make good use of your time if you want to do well in school. Make a schedule. You can divide it up so you can watch anime, study for tests, and do your schoolwork. If you make a plan and follow it, you can learn how to write an essay in one day. You can still get your anime research paper done on time and still have time to study and watch anime.

Use services that make your life easier to reduce stress and get more done.

Is it possible to do well in school and watch anime at the same time?

College and university students often say that their professors give them too many writing assignments. You can always go back to your anime culture and watch your episodes, right? As deadlines get closer, you might feel pressured to finish your projects. You have homework to do, but you just don’t want to stop watching green movie season . Because of this, you might be wondering what to do next. If you use a professional writing service, you might be able to free up some time. Don’t worry about how you’ll finish all of your homework when the due dates are getting closer. Use one of these services to write less and have more time to study or watch anime.

On top of that, anime can be watched while doing schoolwork, which is a nice bonus. As was already said, some people can study better while listening to music or watching certain shows. With these tools, they can better understand the idea and keep up with their homework. There are also some smart students who learn how to write essays quickly. Still, a lot of teachers and parents are against this. They think that they are a waste of time that will keep you from focusing on your schoolwork. This might make you wonder if you can watch anime while you study without getting in trouble with your parents or teachers.

If you’re the kind of person who can understand something while doing something else, like watching a movie or listening to music, then go ahead and start. But don’t let your interest in anime keep you from doing your homework. Your professor might give you an anime essay to see if you’ve been paying attention in class and if you can show that you know a lot about the genre.

If at all possible, study before tests and quizzes

If the end of a movie makes you want more, you might get too caught up in it. You might be interested in seeing what happens in the other episodes. You don’t have to do your schoolwork right away. You can put it off until a better time. It would not be smart to do this. It would be more fun to watch anime instead of doing homework. You can do jobs that would normally be too hard for you. You can choose to buy an essay for sale and still finish your work on time. If you do this, you’ll also have more time to study and prepare for tests.

It’s safe to say that a lot of students like to watch movies and listen to music. Still, most people don’t know how to find a good balance between school, extracurricular activities, and free time. They feel this way because they want to do well in school and don’t want their love of anime movies to get in the way. So, if you’re worried about how to keep your balance, you don’t need to be. With the above tips, you can find a good balance between watching anime, doing your homework, and studying for tests.
