ഇന്ന് ജൂണ്‍ 26, അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര ലഹരി വിരുദ്ധ ദിനം. ലഹരിവസ്തുക്കളുടെ ഉപയോഗം വർധിക്കുന്നതിനെക്കുറിച്ചും അതിനു പിന്നാലെയുണ്ടാകുന്ന ആരോഗ്യ പ്രശ്‌നങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചും പരിശോധിക്കാം.

യു വാക്കളും കൗമാരപ്രായക്കാരായ കുട്ടികളും ഉള്‍പ്പെടെ എത്രയോപേര്‍ മദ്യത്തിന്റെയും മയക്കുമരുന്നിന്റെയും ലഹരിവലയത്തില്‍ കുരുങ്ങുന്നതിന്റെ വാര്‍ത്തകളാണ് ദിവസവും നമുക്കുമുന്നില്‍ നിറയുന്നത്. മാനസികസമ്മര്‍ദം കൈകാര്യംചെയ്യുന്നതിനുള്ള ഒരു മാര്‍ഗമെന്നനിലയില്‍ പതിവായി ലഹരിവസ്തുക്കള്‍ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത് യഥാര്‍ഥത്തില്‍ വിപരീതഫലമാണ് സൃഷ്ടിക്കുന്നത്. ഇവ ഉപയോഗിച്ചതിനുശേഷം, അതിന്റെ പ്രഭാവം കഴിഞ്ഞാല്‍ വീണ്ടും അതേ സമ്മര്‍ദം നേരിടേണ്ടിവരും. അത് വീണ്ടും മയക്കുമരുന്ന് ഉപയോഗത്തിലേക്ക് നയിക്കും. അങ്ങനെ ഒരു ദൂഷിതചക്രം സൃഷ്ടിക്കപ്പെടും.

ലഹരിവസ്തുക്കളുടെ ഉപയോഗം ആരോഗ്യപ്രശ്‌നങ്ങള്‍ സൃഷ്ടിക്കും. സുഹൃത്തുക്കളുമായും കുടുംബാംഗങ്ങളുമായും ഉള്ള ബന്ധങ്ങളെ ബാധിക്കും. ലഹരിവസ്തുക്കള്‍ നല്‍കുന്ന ആനന്ദം ക്ഷണികമെങ്കിലും അവയുടെ പാര്‍ശ്വഫലങ്ങള്‍ എന്നും നിലനില്‍ക്കുന്നതായിരിക്കും. ഈ പാര്‍ശ്വഫലങ്ങളില്‍ പലതും ബുദ്ധി, ബോധം, ഓര്‍മ, ആത്മനിയന്ത്രണം എന്നിവയെ ബാധിക്കുന്നവയുമായിരിക്കും. ഏകാഗ്രത നഷ്ടം, പ്രശ്‌നപരിഹാരത്തിന് കഴിയാതെ വരിക, ചിത്തഭ്രമം എന്നിവയും ലഹരിവസ്തുക്കളുടെ പാര്‍ശ്വഫലങ്ങളാണ്.

ഒപ്പമുള്ളവരിലും ഒത്തുകൂടുന്നവരിലും ഇത്തരം അപകടസാധ്യതകള്‍ തെളിയുന്നുണ്ടോ എന്ന് പരിശോധിക്കാനോ കണ്ടുപിടിക്കാനോ കഴിഞ്ഞാല്‍, ചിലപ്പോള്‍, ചിലര്‍ക്കെങ്കിലും ജീവിതം തിരിച്ചുപിടിക്കാനായേക്കും.

മദ്യം, മയക്കുമരുന്ന് എന്നിവയുടെ ദുരുപയോഗലക്ഷണങ്ങള്‍ അറിയാം.

ചുരുങ്ങിയ കൃഷ്ണമണികളും ചോരക്കണ്ണുകളും, വിളര്‍ച്ച, ഭാരക്കുറവ്, ഭക്ഷണം, ഉറക്കം എന്നിവയുടെ രീതികളില്‍ മാറ്റം, ശരീരത്തില്‍ പോറലുകളും മുറിപ്പാടുകളും, വ്യക്തിശുചിത്വം പാലിക്കാന്‍ വിമുഖത, കൂട്ടുകെട്ടുകളില്‍ പെട്ടെന്നുള്ള മാറ്റങ്ങള്‍, മറ്റുള്ളവരില്‍നിന്ന് ഒഴിഞ്ഞുമാറിയുള്ള രഹസ്യസ്വഭാവം, പ്രിയപ്പെട്ടതായിരുന്ന പലതിലും താത്പര്യക്കുറവ്, ഉത്തരവാദിത്വം ഇല്ലാത്ത അവസ്ഥ, ആത്മനിന്ദ, ആത്മവിശ്വാസക്കുറവ്, തീരുമാനങ്ങളെടുക്കാനുള്ള കഴിവില്ലായ്മ, അടിക്കടി മാറുന്ന വൈകാരികാവസ്ഥ, അനാവശ്യമായ വാദപ്രതിവാദങ്ങള്‍, മടി, ക്ഷീണം, രോഷം, ആകാംക്ഷ, വിഷാദം, അപകടസാധ്യതകള്‍ ഗൗനിക്കാതെയുള്ള എടുത്തുചാട്ടം, സ്വയം ഉപദ്രവിക്കാന്‍ ശ്രമിക്കുക, അക്രമം, മോഷണം, കുറ്റകൃത്യങ്ങള്‍ തുടങ്ങിയവയെല്ലാം ലക്ഷണങ്ങളാണ്. മദ്യം/മയക്കുമരുന്ന് ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നവരില്‍ കാണുന്ന മൂന്ന് ലക്ഷണങ്ങള്‍ ചികിത്സ അത്യാവശ്യമാണെന്ന സൂചനയാണ് നല്‍കുന്നത്.

1. ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്ന മയക്കു മരുന്നിന്റെ/മദ്യത്തിന്റെ അളവ്, ക്രമേണ കൂടിക്കൂടി വരുക. 2. ചിന്തകളിലും പ്രവൃത്തികളിലും, മദ്യം, മയക്കുമരുന്ന് എന്നിവയോട് ആസക്തി, ആശ്രയത്വം. 3. ലഹരി ഉപയോഗിക്കാതിരിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ പനി, ജലദോഷം, വെപ്രാളം, വിറയല്‍ എന്നിവ ഉള്‍പ്പെടുന്ന ലക്ഷണങ്ങള്‍.

എന്താണ് പ്രതിവിധി ?

വ്യക്തിയുമായി ശാന്തമായി സംസാരിക്കുക. അഭിപ്രായങ്ങളും ചോദ്യങ്ങളും ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുക. കാഴ്ചപ്പാടുകള്‍ അറിയുക. പ്രഭാഷണങ്ങളും ഭയപ്പെടുത്തുന്ന തന്ത്രങ്ങളും ഒഴിവാക്കുക. തുടക്കത്തില്‍ രസത്തിനുവേണ്ടിയുള്ള മയക്കുമരുന്ന് ഉപയോഗം അമിതമായ ഉപയോഗമോ ആസക്തിയോ ആയി മാറുകയും അപകടങ്ങള്‍, നിയമപരമായ പ്രശ്‌നങ്ങള്‍, ആരോഗ്യപ്രശ്‌നങ്ങള്‍ എന്നിവ ഉണ്ടാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞുമനസ്സിലാക്കുക. ആരോഗ്യത്തെയും രൂപത്തെയും കായികശേഷിയെയും മയക്കുമരുന്ന് ഉപയോഗം എങ്ങനെ ദോഷകരമായി ബാധിക്കുമെന്ന് ഊന്നിപ്പറയുക.

• വ്യക്തിയുടെ പ്രവര്‍ത്തനങ്ങള്‍ എവിടെയാണെന്നും സമയം ചെലവിടുന്നത് എങ്ങനെയെന്നും ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുക.
• വഴിതെറ്റിക്കുന്ന സന്ദേശങ്ങളെ കൃത്യമായി വിശകലനംചെയ്യുക.
• വ്യക്തിയുടെ സുഹൃത്തുക്കളെ അറിയുക. അവര്‍ മയക്കുമരുന്ന് ഉപയോഗിക്കുകയാണെങ്കില്‍, ആ വ്യക്തിയും ലഹരി പരീക്ഷിക്കാനുള്ള സമ്മര്‍ദം അനുഭവിച്ചേക്കാം.
• കൂട്ടുകാരുടെ സമ്മര്‍ദത്തെ ചെറുക്കാനുള്ള വഴികള്‍, മയക്കുമരുന്ന് ഓഫറുകള്‍ എങ്ങനെ നിരസിക്കാം എന്നിവയെക്കുറിച്ച് ഒരുമിച്ച് ചര്‍ച്ചചെയ്യുക.
• ചികിത്സയില്‍ പിന്തുണ നല്‍കുക. വ്യക്തിയിലല്ല, പെരുമാറ്റത്തില്‍ ശ്രദ്ധകേന്ദ്രീകരിക്കുക, അനുഭവപാഠങ്ങള്‍ പങ്കിടുക. ശക്തമായ ഒരു ബന്ധം ലഹരിയില്‍നിന്ന് വ്യക്തിയെ പിന്തിരിപ്പിക്കാന്‍ സഹായിക്കും.

ഇന്ന് താരതമ്യേന യുവാക്കളിലും വിദ്യാർത്ഥികളിലും കാണപ്പെടുന്ന ഭീകരമായ അവസ്ഥയാണ് Drug addiction. ലഹരി പദാർത്ഥങ്ങൾക്ക് അടിപ്പെട്ട് പോകുന്നത് വഴി ജീവിതം വളരെ മോശമായ നിലവാരത്തിലെത്തുകയും അത് ആത്മഹത്യയിലേക്ക് വരെ നയിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു. മാത്രമല്ല നിരവധി ശാരീരിക മാനസിക പ്രശ്നങ്ങൾക്കും ഇത് കാരണമാകുന്നു. മക്കളുടെ ഏതൊരു ചെറിയ പ്രശ്നവും തിരിച്ചറിയുന്നത് അമ്മമാരാണ്. എന്നാൽ അമ്മമാരുടെ ചെറിയ ഒരു നോട്ടക്കുറവ് പോലും മക്കളെ Drug addiction പോലുള്ള പ്രശ്നങ്ങളിലാണ് എത്തിക്കുന്നത്. അതിനാൽ നാം കൂടുതൽ ജാഗ്രത പുലർത്തണം.

Cocaine, cannahis, Amphetamine, Ecstasy, LSD എന്നിവയാണ ഇന്ത്യയിൽ മുഖ്യ മായും കാണുന്ന ലഹരി പദാർത്ഥങ്ങൾ. സാധാരണയായി ഒൻപത് വയസ്സ് മുതൽ 21 വയസ്സ് വരെയുള്ളവരാണ് ഇത് ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത്.

ഏതൊരു ലഹരി പദാർത്ഥവും തലച്ചോറിലെ Chemical meassging system തകരാറിലാക്കുന്നു. എന്നാൽ ലഹരിയുടെ വകഭേദങ്ങൾക്കനുസരിച്ച് തലച്ചോറിനെ ബാധിക്കുന്ന രീതിയിൽ വ്യത്യാസം വരാം. അതിസങ്കീർണമായ ഘടനയാണ് തലച്ചോറിനുള്ളത്. ഈ ഘടനയിലേക്ക് ലഹരി പദാർത്ഥങ്ങൾ എത്തിച്ചേരുമ്പോൾ റിഫ്ലക്സ് പ്രവർത്തങ്ങൾ താറുമാറാകുന്നു. തുടർന്ന് ഓർമ്മക്കുറവ്, ഉത്കണ്ഠ, തുടങ്ങിയ മാനസിക സംഘർഷങ്ങൾ മുതൽ മസ്തിഷ്ക ആഘാതം വരെ സംഭവിച്ചേക്കാം.

മിക്കപ്പോഴും തെറ്റി ധരിക്കപ്പെടുന്ന രണ്ട് വാക്കുകളാണ് Drug Abuse ഉം Drug Addiction ഉം. ഇവ രണ്ടും ഒന്നാണ് എന്ന മിഥ്യാധാരണയുമുണ്ട്. Drug abuse പെട്ടെന്ന് ലഹരി ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നവരിൽ കാണപ്പെടും. എന്നാൽ ഈ അവസ്ഥ ചികിത്സ കിട്ടാതെ നീണ്ട് പോകുമ്പോൾ അത് Drug Addiction ആകുന്നു.
