Creative in Learning offer private tuition – one to one, online or in small groups – in our dedicated learning centres in Mold and St Asaph.

Established by two dedicated head teachers, Creative in Learning offer the services of experienced tutors in a variety of subject areas for all ages – whether that is at Key Stages 1-3, GCSE, A Level or above.

We believe that learning should be fun.

Run by two Head Teachers, Creative in Learning differs from other tuition services in that we have first-hand experience of the difficulties pupils face on a day to day basis.

Knowing the curriculum expectations as well as we do, we’re able to translate these into fun learning sessions, developing confidence and skill at the same time!

We know what works and we know how to get results.

It’s about getting to know the learner. We spend the time to assess strengths and needs in order to create a personalised learning plan that works.

Learning about each child’s interests and learning styles enables our professional and experienced tutors to create exciting learning sessions that inspire and motivate.

I just wanted to let you know that my son has had his A Level results this morning. He achieved 3 Grade A’s in Maths, Physics & Chemistry. He has gained admission to his 1st choice of university.

We would all like to thank you so much for your assistance with my son as without the work that your tutors put in he would never have achieved these grades.

Would just like to take the opportunity to also thank his tutor. We had his parents evening on Thursday and my sons maths teacher was very happy with his attitude to learning, and he has also gone from around 40-50% in his tests to 80%. We were over the moon!

I can’t believe his results we have cried with happiness. Thank you so very much for your fantastic help and your amazing teachers. I know his future is bright now.

May I say how wonderful Suzanne has been with my daughter during her GCSE journey. She has gained so much because Suzanne is incredible at getting the message across and making learning real. My daughter is going to be studying for A levels in September and so I will be in touch for further support in the new academic year. I would really like Suzanne to continue to assist her.

This last 6 months, since starting with yourselves, my husband Eric, myself and Lily have noticed a massive increase in Lily’s confidence in this area. I’m really happy with my daughter's exam results for maths. For the last few years, she has been in the below-average section, but this year has shot up!

During my time at Creative in Learning, I have learnt more than any school and I have changed my behaviour at this school, I have matured and become a better person. The teachers are kind to me and I have respect for them. If I had come to Creative earlier, I would have wanted to try and gain my GCSEs. I am going to college in September to study motor mechanics. Creative has helped me get the confidence to go. I have made some great friends here and will see them in college.

My time in creative has been really good, I have got more confident and they have helped me believe in myself and I have made good mates. The teachers here are caring and funny and they help you understand the work you are given. School didn't go well for me and I hated it but when I came here they made me realise it isn't so bad. I am now looking forward to the future I will be given to make my own and I believe I will be able to become who I want and achieve my dreams. After creative, I will be going to college. I will miss it here but it’s time for me to start my future of becoming a grown-up and to perssue my dreams. They don't agree with bullying here and they have helped me in so many ways. This is also a nice and relaxing place to work. They also don't have favouritism; they treat you all equally.

Ollie has just finished his final session with Michelle and I just wanted to take this opportunity to feedback on Ollie's progress. Thanks to Michelle, Ollie is in more of a positive place to move onto to independent education and it cannot be quantified by tests or work produced. Ollie is one of the many students that I am sure you will see that do not fall into the group of standard education settings. The trust gained and the consistent visits made a big difference. Ollie has gone from reluctant to engage with low self-esteem into a positive position, more relaxed and willing to try new things. He has gained certificates for short courses gaining qualifications through activity rather than writing and tests.

We have found creative to be professional, organised and above all, was an excellent place for my son to feel comfortable in and to be able to learn in an environment where he was not judged, it brought out the best in him. I would like to also say a big thank you to you for your help along the way, you have been knowledgeable, understanding and kind , thank you.

I just wanted to send a great big thank you for all your help to Emily. Miya got her GCSE results today and she got an A in maths (7) which she and we were super pleased with. All your effort and support have been invaluable in helping her develop the confidence and skill to deliver to an A standard. Overall she got 8 A-A*’s and a B & C so we are really proud of her.

I just wanted to say thank you to your company and especially to Emyr. My daughter came home from school today after having a maths test and got 70%. She had previously been getting no higher than 38% (no maths teacher for year, then substitute teachers for another year). It’s lovely to see how her confidence has grown since being tutored by Emyr and our first meeting with you when you said that anybody CAN do Maths. She looks forward to every lesson.

The support from Imogen over the home learning period has made a huge difference to my daughter. Imogen is so good at responding to whatever she wants to do on the evening, she asks what’s happening in school (school have been letting us know what’s coming so we can prep) and it’s clearly supporting my daughter in feeling more confident.

My daughter has spent 5 years with Creative having maths tuition and I couldn’t recommend the company and tutors highly enough. Everybody involved has been professional, friendly and fun to work with. Communication was always really good and my daughter looked forward every week to her tuition. The results have been wonderful as she is predicted a really excellent GCSE grade in maths and we are over the moon! Thank you Creative.

My son came to you for approx 2 years for English tuition as this was the subject he struggled with most. He got 11 GCSE’s. 1A* 6A’s and 4B’s. He got an A in English language and a B in literature and an A* in maths numeracy and an A in mathematics. He was also awarded an outstanding achievement award for English because he improved so much. Please thank everyone who tutored him, especially Carolyn who was his English tutor for most of year 11.
